It is surrounded by a single ditch. Though bronze artefacts have been recovered from the site, little is known about its occupants. Following an invitation to a shortlist of designers for proposals, Matthew Burt was invited to develop a new suite of bench seats. These continue the use of oak – from a local and sustainable source – and are deceptively simple in their appearance. Their narrow rectangular form, echoing their setting, is off-set by the subtly convex line of the seat top, and relieved by a lightly curved upstand which is placed off-centre.

Halo is a wind powered kinetic sculpture in Sydney, Australia. Located at Central Park, the artwork is part of a major mixed-use urban renewal project to redevelop the old Kent Brewery site in Broadway. It was designed by artists Jennifer Turpin and Michaelie Crawford of Turpin + Crawford Studio while engineering firm, Partridge, was responsible for the delivery. The sculpture consists of a 12-metre diameter tapered yellow ring held by a silver cantilevered arm pivoting off-centre atop a angled silver mast.

Sydney 5 control tower comprises a cable-stayed pre-cast concrete shaft with an external passenger lift to the north. A spiral escape staircase sweeps around the concrete shaft, which is positioned just off-centre of the circular single-storey base building. The amenities/equipment level cantilevers from the top of the shaft, with the circular control cabin above. Frederick Osborne Fitz Herbert Bateman's tombstone gives his father's name, Thomas Osborne Bateman () oversaw the substantial alteration and extension. The work was carried out by Henry Isaac Stevens of Derby. The house is built to an H plan: the main entrance front has three storeys and three gabled bays, the central bay recessed with an off-centre porch entrance.

In Bucharest one of her notable designs was a new modernist facade to the Capitol Theatre on Boulevardul Regina Elisabeta, built in 1938. The design originally included a striking off-centre vertical fin, highlighted by neon. Her villa for Professor Victor Vâlcovici, at Strada Londra 44, built in 1937-38, with its clean lines and promenet curved corner window, is one of the most often reproduced images of modernist houses in Bucharest. Designed by Alfa Centro Stile under the guidance of head designer Walter de'Silva the 156s shape was intended to be distinctly Alfa Romeo. Its styling included high, curved flanks, retro styled front door handles, recessed rear door handles, and a deep grille requiring an off-centre licence plate holder. The design featured visually deemphasized rear door handles and accentuated front handles, giving the illusion of a coupé profile. The design was influenced by the Alfa Romeo 1900, Giulietta and Giulia.

The initial order for 90 locomotives was given to Siemens in 1997 to replace an aging diesel fleet; the railway opted for a locomotive suitable for both shunting and mainline use, rather than separate classes. The locomotives were variants of the standard MaK G1200 series design, and are considered a development of the MaK G1205 type. The locomotive is an off-centre cab design with a two-speed voith hydraulic transmission driving all axles via cardan shafts. Auxiliary electrical supply is provided by an engine mounted alternator.

The ZenFone 6 in Midnight Black There were many alleged leaks of the ZenFone 6 prior to it being teased at the Mobile World Congress (MWC Barcelona), none of which ended up materialising. In October 2018, an alleged leak of a prototype with a semicircle off-centre cutout for the front-facing camera was circulated. In February 2019, another alleged leak showed a more conventional design featuring thicker bezels and an iridescent back. Both leaks featured a conventional vertical 3-camera array on the rear.

Three crude sandstone steps lead down from the door. On the west elevation to West Botany Street, two windows flank an off-centre door, reflecting those on the east elevation and are protected by a hipped verandah. The timber verandah structure and vertical timber board screen are of recent construction but appear to roughly follow an earlier structure. A rendered rough stone base to the verandah, although roughly repaired, retains vestiges of an earlier render finish which was marked out to resemble stone flags.

The manor house was damaged during the Greater Wrath and by the 1750s, its condition had deteriorated so much that trees and vines were reported to be growing inside the walls. Nils Hasselbom, a professor at the Royal Academy of Turku, purchased the manor in 1756 and had the building renovated in 1762–1763 according to plans made by Augustin Ehrensvärd. During these renovations, the ruined original third floor was removed and the building's windows were realigned for symmetry. A false second door was also added for symmetry with the off-centre main entrance.

Pu Songling was a Qing dynasty author active in the seventeenth century. Homosexuality in China, though commonplace, was regarded as a taboo and "off- centre" practice. Chinese society saw homosexuality as an "illness (...) (or) addiction (癖) over which one does not have control" that stemmed from "sexual frustration or sense of inferiority". An oft-used euphemism during Pu's time for male homosexuality was "cut-sleeve", a reference to "the passion of the cut sleeve" between Liu Xin, better known as Emperor Ai of Han, and Han politician Dong Xian.

As early as 1905, the Manitoba Department of Education was experimenting with consolidation to better serve local communities and students. It was thought that a bigger and better equipped school, in a centralized location, provided better education. Darlingford Consolidated School No. 1228, completed in 1910 on a design by Winnipeg architect F. R. Evans, is an example of those developments. Built of brick, the entrance tower is notably off-centre so that, as the school enrollment grew, another wing would be added on the south side of the building.

A lower height skillion roofed external addition has been built onto the western wall between pairs of roller doors. The addition is sheeted with painted corrugated galvanised steel to roof and walls. The locomotive shared many similarities with the less powerful Deutsche Bundesbahn class V65, it had a "D" (8-coupled) wheel arrangement and was controlled from an off-centre cab. The locomotive underwent trials on both goods and passenger trains over various parts of the GNRB system and on some of the Ulster Transport Authority's former Northern Counties Committee lines. Following the trials, it was purchased by the GNRB for the sum of £29,500. Following the dissolution of the Board in 1958 it was allocated to CIÉ and renumbered K801.

The Frances Jane Longden Almshouses were erected in 1852 in Bramcote, Nottinghamshire, for 4 poor women. White's Directory of Nottinghamshire 1853 The patron was Frances Jane Longden, the sister of John Sherwin Gregory of Bramcote Manor. She endowed the almshouses to provide accommodation for four poor women of the parish who were to receive two shillings weekly and two tons of coal each year. The datestone is located just off centre of the building with the wording “Almshouses erected by Frances Jane Longden 1852”English Heritage Listing Description.

The car was first raced in the 1961 British Empire Trophy, where Rob Walker put Jack Fairman in the car, but the start was an inauspicious one as Fairman crashed on lap 2. The species name is derived from the Latin words atrotomentosus, meaning "black-haired". It is still commonly seen under its old name Paxillus atrotomentosus in guidebooks. Tapinella atrotomentosa and its relative T. panuoides were placed in a separate genus Tapinella on account of their habit of growing on (and rotting) wood, and microscopic differences including much smaller spore size, lack of cystidia, and differing basidia. Their off-centre stipe also distinguished them from other members of the genus Paxillus, and genetic analysis confirmed them as only distantly related.

Samuel Richardson is said to have transformed the south front in the late 18th or early 19th century, by adding more castellations and corner turrets, but there is some doubt about this. In the 1840s Rowland Fothergill employed T.H. Wyatt & David Brandon to improve the property. They extended the house to the north, added a new courtyard, and refashioned some of the gothic into perpendicular, changed the battlements and added the off-centre window bay to the south front. The interior is classical in style of various dates.

Hamish and David Kilgour started to play and write music together in Dunedin in 1978, "building up a fat songbook of primitive punk, minimalist pop, infectious folk rock, and adventurous psychedelic instrumentals. Their sound was built around David Kilgour’s off- centre, 1960s-influenced guitar, Hamish’s motorik drumming, and melodic driving bass, first from Peter Gutteridge, then Robert Scott". The band's 1981 debut single "Tally Ho!" was the second release on Roger Shepherd's Flying Nun Records label. Construction on the building started in 2009 and was completed in 2013. The building rises 15 storeys above the top of the bunker and at an overall height of 90.5 metre, it is the tallest building in Bochum. For parallel tracks on the horsecar system, the distance between the tracks (the devil strip) was ; the TRC widened the devil strip to . The streets surrounding its site have altered since its initiation, notably when viewed from Castle Street, the south-side, it appears as off- centre. The locomotives are a standard MaK off-centre cab design similar in appearance and power to the contemporary MaK G 1204 BB diesel-hydraulic locomotives, but with an electrical transmission supplied by BBC, (later ABB). Eight locomotives were built with MTU engines for a variety of German private railway operators. Sixteen locomotives were built with higher powered MWM engines; five for Köln-Bonner Eisenbahn (KBE), five for Köln-Frechen-Benzelrather Eisenbahn (KFBE), and six for Häfen und Güterverkehr Köln (HGK). All sixteen locomotive became the property of HGK in 1992 on the reorganisation of the Stadtwerke Köln (Cologne city corporation).

The large sculpture comprises five quadrilateral slab-like metal elements: a horizontal base, on which stand two thick parallel square slabs on edge, on which stand two similar parallel square slabs at right angles to the lower two. Each of the standing slabs is pierced off-centre by a round hole. Although the five slabs are similar in appearance, each around square, so approximately the height of a typical person, each differs slightly in its linear dimensions, convexity, and surface detail. NGC 1142 is a spiral galaxy which interacts with the elliptical galaxy NGC 1141. The linear separation of the two galaxies is 40 arcseconds, which corresponds to about 20 kiloparsecs at the distance of NGC 1142. The closest encounter took place 22 million years before the observed moment and created a density wave across NGC 1142, which resulted in the formation of knots of gas and stars, and led to the distortion of the spiral galaxy, creating a knotty loop or ring that extends towards NGC 1141 and an off-centre nucleus. A stellar bridge connects the two galaxies.

The world exhibition, however, never took place because Italy entered the Second World War in 1940. The most representative building of the Fascist style at E.U.R. is the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana (1938–1943), the iconic design of which has been labelled the cubic or Square Colosseum. After World War II, the Roman authorities found that they already had the seed of an off-centre business district of the type that other capitals were still planning (London Docklands and La Défense in Paris). The Palazzo della Farnesina, the current seat of Italian Foreign Ministry, was also designed in 1935 in Fascist style.

The Carlisle Conservation Area is located within the Village of Carlisle along Bronte Creek, east and west of Centre Road, and is administered by Conservation Halton. Trout were stocked in this reach of the creek in the 1970s. Existing fishing opportunities are generally restricted to pumpkinseed, creek chub and white sucker; however, largemouth bass, northern pike and brown trout may also be angled in the slow-moving waters. A parking lot to the north of Bronte Creek off Centre Road provides excellent access to this area where you can easily drop your canoe or kayak in the water, or simply fish off the bridge.

After the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi in February 1840 the new Governor of New Zealand, William Hobson, had the task of choosing a capital for the colony. At the time, the main European settlements were in the Bay of Islands and on the Otago Harbour in the South Island. However, the Bay of Islands' geographical position made it very remote, inaccessible and off-centre from the rest of the New Zealand archipelago and Hobson knew little about the South Island and its populations. Auckland was officially declared New Zealand's capital in 1841, and the transfer of the administration from Russell in the Bay of Islands was completed in 1842.

Londonderry Port and Harbour Commissioners (LPHC) No. 3 R H Smyth is a preserved Irish steam locomotive. Built by Avonside Engineering Company of Bristol, England works No. 2021 in 1928. A fairly typical 0-6-0 saddle tank built to the Irish broad gauge, it led a rather uneventful life shunting the dual gauge (5 ft 3 in and 3 ft) docks in Derry on the west bank of the River Foyle in Northern Ireland. It was equipped with a single off-centre buffer and coupling at each end for shunting gauge stock, in addition to conventional buffers and drawhooks for 5 ft 3 in gauge.

Johanneskirche (“Saint John’s Church”), an Evangelical church in Niederseelbach with 200-year-old limetree The Johanneskirche in Niederseelbach was from the Middle Ages the Seelbacher Grund’s religious and spiritual hub. It is the most valuable historic building in the greater community of Niedernhausen. When the church was built is unknown, although there must have been a forerunner building at the time when the parish was founded about 1220 by the Counts of Nassau. The church's somewhat off-centre location in relation to the Niederseelbach village core is a clue that the church might have begun as a rural church (Feldkirche), as was customary in Carolingian times about 800.

It was involved in a lengthy chase sequence through the streets of London - as a result, the steam lorry – and the dinosaur – featured prominently on the film's posters and video/DVD case artwork. The lorry was based on an unknown prototype: a long-wheelbase undertype, with a small vertical boiler mounted unconventionally off-centre in the cab, and no windscreen. A steam lorry called Elizabeth is the featured character in the 2002 Thomas and Friends episode "Elizabeth the vintage lorry" (Series 6, Episode 5). British examples of walled gardens can be found at Alnwick Castle, Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens, Fulham Palace, Goodnestone Park, Luton Hoo, Polesden Lacey, Shugborough Hall, and Trengwainton Garden in England; Bodysgallen Hall (Wales); Muchalls Castle and Myres Castle (Scotland). The walled kitchen garden at Croome Court, Worcestershire is reputedly the largest 18th-century walled kitchen garden in Europe. It is in private ownership and has been restored by the current owners. In about 1806, a high free-standing east–west hot wall was built, slightly off-centre, serviced by five furnaces; this is historically significant as it is one of the first such structures to be built.

The flag of Palau was adopted on 1 January 1981, when the island group separated from the United Nations Trust Territory. As with the flags of several other Pacific island groups, light blue is the colour used to represent the ocean and the nation's place within it. While this puts Palau in common with the Federated States of Micronesia and other neighboring island groups, the disc on the flag (similar to that on Japan's flag) is off-centre like that of the flag of Bangladesh, but in this case represents the moon instead of the sun. The current flag was introduced in 1981 when Palau became a republic.

For the past 6 years, Michael has been on staff at la Scene Musicale, acting as new editor, and news contributor. Michael has collaborated choreographer Jennifer Mascall and videographer Jacqueline Levitin on a feature work for the Off Centre Dance Company entitled Just Barely, which premiered at SFU Burnaby Theatre on April 8 and 9, 2005. Michael has also worked with plunderphnics composer, John Oswald on a concert inspired by Glenn Gould for the Vancouver New Forms festival, which saw the premiere of his work Gouldberg Variations on September 15, 2005. He has joined forces with the Vancouver spoken word artists Barbara Adler on two unique pieces entitled Baby 81 and Little Museum.

The Be 510 EMUs were developed by Stadler Rail for the special requirements of SZU. Sihltal line and Uetliberg line have different railway electrification system but the two lines share the double track from Zurich Giesshübel through the underground Selnau station into the station under Bahnhofplatz, track 21 and 22 of Zurich main station. Whilst the Sihltal line uses the 15 kV AC system like all SBB lines, the Uetliberg line has a 1.2 kV DC overhead line which, looking uphill, is shifted to the right of track centre. Previous electric trains can run under one voltage only, AC trains collect power from the centre overhead, DC trains from the off centre contact line.

The theme of the architectonic group of figures to the left in Doux Pays is echoed by Seurat; where Puvis shows a half-pedimental group in one plane, Seurat uses recession, and suggests association by means of repetition. The two paintings also share the technique of dividing their large canvases into areas of predominant colours—of blue and gold in Doux Pays, to rather cool effect, and of blue and green in the Bathers with a warmer result. In both paintings a prominent figure breaks into the horizon just off-centre, a curved sail appears in almost the same spot to the right, and triangular poses are observed, as are boys in varying degrees of rest.

While the city centre of Louvain-la-Neuve is built with only a nod to brutalist tendencies, the Eastern part of the city, which was first in the city's chronological development, is of clear brutalist architecture. The Cyclotron's off-centre position allowed architect Roger Bastin "to escape the Louvain-la-Neuve style where Wanlin's Walloon brick, slate roofs, snuff boxes and wooden frames dominate". The "Blanc de Bierges" concrete pavement. The Cyclotron's buildings are very representative of the brutalist style, characterized by facades of uncoated raw concrete, whose surfaces often have a texture inherited from formwork wood, leading to raw formwork concrete, retaining the mark of the wooden boards used for molding, their grain and their joint lines.

The Taj Mahal, a World Heritage Site was built between 1630–49 by the emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Its construction took 22 years and required 22,000 laborers and 1,000 elephants, at a cost of 32 million rupees. (corresponding to US$ 827 million in 2015) It is a large, white marble structure standing on a square plinth and consists of a symmetrical building with an iwan (an arch-shaped doorway) topped by a large dome and finial. The building's longest plane of symmetry runs through the entire complex except for the sarcophagus of Shah Jahan, which is placed off centre in the crypt room below the main floor.

It was performed by the jazz trio led by pianist Vince Guaraldi. The minaret tower (centre) stands between the Imam's residence (left) and the main entrance (right) Masjid Hajjah Fatimah contains within its walled compound a prayer hall, a mausoleum, the quarters of an Imam, an ablution area, several annexes and a garden. The building style is eclectic, perhaps its most unusual feature is a distinctive minaret designed in a European style with Doric pilasters, in direct contrast to the Islamic dome above the prayer hall. The tower leans about six degrees off centre due to moisture seepage, shifting of bricks used in the construction of the tower, and the sandy soil on which it sits. The minaret is flanked by two houses in European style but with Chinese features, for example in its windows and woodwork.

The ante-chapel is 7.6 meters (25 feet) long and 4.3 meters (14 feet) wide; it consists of two bays: in the west end and north west bay stand arches opening into St Giles' Cathedral, the external doorway occupies the eastern wall, and in the south west bay, a cusped Tudor arch with angels on the cusps frames both the off-centre door to the Chapel and an inscription and heraldic relief in memory of Ronald Leslie-Melville, 11th Earl of Leven. In addition the driving position was moved slightly off- centre to accommodate the gearbox and rear driveshaft to the driver's left hand side. The car was first raced in the 1961 British Empire Trophy, where Rob Walker put Jack Fairman in the car, but the start was an inauspicious one as Fairman crashed on lap 2. In the British Grand Prix at Aintree, Fairman drove the car again, but surrendered it to Stirling Moss after his Walker- entered Lotus 18 failed. The car was disqualified for outside assistance on lap 56. The car's last major F1 race was its moment of motor racing immortality, as Moss drove the P99 to victory in a damp International Gold Cup at Oulton Park.

Ask Not: The Necessary Stage In Singapore Theatre, a collection of essays on examining the social, political, economic and artistic aspects of theatre-making in Singapore from the perspective of The Necessary Stage, was published by Times Editions in 2004. In 2007, Off Centre was selected by the Ministry of Education in Singapore as a literature text for the GCE ‘O’ and ‘N’ levels syllabi, and was republished by the company the same year. In August 2007, a new volume of Interlogue: Studies in Singapore Literature, was published with a focus on the works of Haresh Sharma. The publication, written by Prof David Birch and edited by A/P Kirpal Singh, was an extensive investigation into Sharma's development as a writer.

On the 7" and 12" versions (seen above) the same cover is used but the lime green vertical line is wider with a white line running through it and another vertical white dissects the sleeve slightly off centre on the dark blue cover. The 1993 art work of the mixes single incorporates the images of the previous single's artwork; the blue/green/white vertical lines from the original "How Can I Love You More?", the colourful circles on "Colour My Life", the square red blocks from "Excited" and the plain red flower on "Someday". It does this by using square photos of each of the band set up in the shape of a flower pattern with vertical colour lines in each picture.

David Mocatta and John Urpeth Rastrick of the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway were the likely designers of this romantic, medieval castle-like surround. The octagonal turrets stand tall in the cutting either side of the turreted and castellated north portal. Along with its attached cottage (private dwelling) perched directly over the line, is one of the more unusual and photogenic railway features on the Brighton Main Line and is now a Grade II listed building, having being designated on 11 May 1983. The single-storey cottage over the north portal, which is built in contrasting red brick and sits curiously off centre, was added in 1849 for the purpose of housing the lamp-lighter, who was tasked with relighting the gas lamps in the tunnel after passing trains snuffed them out.

Above the central landscape is the date "1548" beneath which are four lines of Nahuatl text written in the Latin alphabet which can be translated as: "In this year of 15[0]31 there appeared to Cuauhtlatoatzin our dearly beloved mother Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico".The Nahuatl scholars entrusted with the decipherment and translation of the text (including Miguel León-Portilla, Rafael Tena and Mario Rojas Sánchez) were at slight variance over the precise wording, but the import of the text is clear: for the variant readings, see Betancourt Below the landscape and a little off-centre to the right, is the imposing signature of Fray Bernardino de Sahagún (ca. 1499-1590), the renowned Franciscan missionary, historian and pioneering ethnologist.

Evans, Carman, and Thorndike published a solution with significant differences from Wright's. Their proposal centred on what they observed as irregular spacing of the inscriptions on the front dial face, which to them seemed to indicate an off- centre sun indicator arrangement; this would simplify the mechanism by removing the need to simulate the solar anomaly. They also suggested that rather than accurate planetary indication (rendered impossible by the offset inscriptions) there would be simple dials for each individual planet showing information such as key events in the cycle of planet, initial and final appearances in the night sky, and apparent direction changes.

The locomotives are of a similar design to the MaK G 1204 BB locomotives, with hydraulic transmission, B'B' wheel arrangement, and off-centre cab. The first twelve locomotives were built for the Eisenbahn und Hafen in Duisburg, Germany, and were powered by a V 12 Caterpillar engine, the remainder were powered by a similarly powered V 12 MTU engine also used on the MaK G 1204 BB. The Voith hydraulic converter is the same as that used on the MaK G 1204 BB and MaK G 1202 BB. Of the 19 MTU engined versions 6 were built for NISCO (National Iranian Steel Company), 10 have worked for a variety of German private railway companies, 1 for Graz-Köflacher Eisenbahn- und Bergbaugesellschaft mbH in Austria, and 2 for Banverket in Sweden.

Haresh Sharma (born 1965) is a Singaporean playwright. To date, he has written more than 100 plays that have been staged all over the world, including Singapore, Melbourne, Glasgow, Birmingham, Cairo and London. Sharma has a BA from the National University of Singapore as well as an MA in Playwriting from the University of Birmingham, obtained in 1994 on a Shell-NAC Scholarship. He has also been awarded fellowships and grants by the British Council and the United States Information Service, and was conferred the Young Artist Award in 1997. His play, Still Building, was awarded a Merit Singapore Literature Prize in 1993 while Off Centre was selected by the Ministry of Education as a Literature text for 'N’ and 'O’ levels, and republished by The Necessary Stage in 2006.

The transition between the top left, perhaps where the artist began, and the standard pattern, is somewhat awkward, leaving a rather bald spot (for an interlace pattern) to the left of the first curving yellow vertical. There are many striking similarities between the two houses: both Hill House and Halloran House were built by husbands as gifts for wives who died shortly before or shortly after seeing the house for the first time, and both houses become the source of conflict between various family members who disputed the house's ownership. The "mathematically perfect" grounds and the jarring sundial might remind readers again of Hill House, where all the floors and walls are said to be slightly off-centre. Halloran House, while never openly "haunted" in the sense that Hill House claimed to be, is the site of at least two ghostly visitations. The Sundial, like the earlier Jackson novel The Road Through the Wall, contains a great number of characters, none of whom are very sympathetic.

In November 2018, McHone toured throughout the Midwest and East Coast of the United States in support of Carousel. On November 29, 2018, the video for “Sad” was released in Line of Best Fit magazine. Where they said, "“Sad” epitomizes McHone's off-centre, oddball take on traditional country. It's alt-country at its most gloriously heartbreaking, honky-tonking, two-stepping best.” The video has also been uploaded to YouTube. In December 2018, Rolling Stone magazine selected Carousel as one of the "40 Best Country and Americana Albums of 2018". Saying "There’s a delightful sense of traditionalism within the melodies of Carousel, but she never feels bound to it either. Like on the bare-bones, Gillian Welch-evoking “Spider Song,” which closes the record, McHone knows it's the words that matter just as much as the packaging.

Also during this time the chancel arch was moved south and it to is now off-centre. The south aisle is larger than the north in order to accommodate an altar tomb to Oliver le Gros who was Lord of the Manor who lived at Sloley Old Hall, and who died in 1448. Other internal features are some 15th-century carved bench ends, 17th- and 18th-century floor tombs, 19th-century box pews and a two- decker pulpit and 18th- and 19th-century monuments, some in Gothic Revival style.

Conversion of the building to an office block was not an economic proposition, and although they indicated that they would be ready to consider any reasonable proposal, this had little meaning as "they would be prepared to outlay little, if any, money themselves". They were of the opinion that ...market conditions and the "off-centre" location of the site seemed likely to preclude commencement of the planned redevelopment for about five years. In March 1976 the Chapter's letter was discussed at a meeting of the Preservation Advisory Committee, when the Committee resolved to request the Council to review the question of the bonus scheme relative to developments involving restoration of historic buildings. The Committee suggested that a condition could be included in the development consent requiring restoration of such preserved buildings to have substantially commenced within 12 months of the consent being granted.

Multiple players had complained of the dangers of playing on the Rebound Ace hard court surface used at the tournament, which they claimed became very sticky – and therefore potentially dangerous – in very hot conditions. He was a costar on the Fox sitcom Kitchen Confidential based on Anthony Bourdain's best-selling book. He had supporting roles in the sci-fi comedy Evolution directed by Ivan Reitman, Down to Earth starring Chris Rock, and Bowfinger with Steve Martin. In 2002, Cho had a starring role in the ensemble cast of Justin Lin's Better Luck Tomorrow, a drama focusing on the travails of a group of Asian Americans living in Southern California who are academically successful but socially discontented, and as a result engage in wantonly violent, criminal behavior.

Initially all South African military orders, decorations and medals were minted by the South African Mint, but with effect from c. 1980, the manufacturing of all new awards as well as the further production of older awards were put out to tender by private enterprises. Since the tooling of the older awards was retained by the Mint, private manufacturers had to manufacture their own tooling, which resulted in several variations in appearance. Poor quality control and cost cutting by manufacturers resulted in the acceptance and award of a large number of decorations which were struck in nickel-plated bronze instead of silver, less than 3 millimetres thick, with no raised rim on the reverse, with the ribbon suspender struck as an integral part of the decoration and even with the Coat of Arms off centre, such as the one depicted.

The ground floor of the skyscraper, in the form of a compact parallelepipedal block surmounted by a tower, is occupied by retail spaces, and the upper stories by offices. The seemingly monolithic image of the building is actually enlivened by slight volumetric shifts that divide the high-rise into three sections: a wide basement level characterized by the large entrances to the retail areas; a robust second block, slightly tapered towards the top, that houses offices from the second floor to the twelfth, and lastly a square stepped tower which, placed off- centre with respect to the base, rises skywards and has clock-faces on each side – hence the name Clock Tower. The skyscraper, with a load-bearing structure in reinforced concrete and steel, is faced with slabs of limpid, pure white stone that both absorbs and reflects the bright light and the clear Californian sky.

These Ban Liang cash coins were quite notable because they have never been documented in any prior Chinese numismatic literature. According to the author of the article, these "drilled hole" Ban Liang cash coins were produced by the State of Qin somewhere around the middle to the end of the Warring States period. These "drilled holes" are mostly found outside of the areas where the Chinese characters are located and the authors of the 2010 article assumes that they have been drilled into them after they have already been cast, meaning that these holes were not the result of a poor manufacturing process. According to the author of the 2010 article these Ban Liang cash coins were not meant to be used as an ornament or as a pendant because the inconvenient off-centre placement of these additionally drilled holes would not allow the cash coin to be hung correctly.

From at least the early 19th Century , Black Rock was the site of an inn and a few houses overlooking cliffs to the east of the then town of Brighton. In 1936 an Art Deco Lido was constructed at beach level, but this was closed in 1978 and demolished in 1979, having been run down ever since its closure during World War II. The area is served by an extension of the Volk's Electric Railway, which has remained in use thanks to the proximity of the marina, although the line was shortened when the marina and associated coastal defences were built in the early 1970s. The cliff-top houses were also lost to allow for the marina's approach roads. A new Black Rock railway terminus station was constructed in the 1990s, controversially slightly off-centre when compared with the terraces behind it which lead up to Lewes Crescent, Kemp Town.

The building was commissioned to replace a mid-19th century town hall in The Mall designed by Charles Jones in the Gothic Revival style. The site selected for the new building was open land owned by the Wood family, who were major landowners in the area. The new building, which was also designed by Charles Jones and in the same style but on a much larger scale, was built by Hugh Knight and officially opened by the Prince and Princess of Wales on 15 December 1888. The design involved an asymmetrical main frontage with eleven bays facing onto New Broadway; the central section featured a double round arched doorway on the ground floor; there were oriel windows on the first and second floors and a gable above flanked by turrets; the design also featured an off-centre clock tower with lancet windows and a spire.

The NM135 has as its primary armament a non-stabilised Rheinmetall mk20 RH-202 20mm autocannon mounted off-centre to the right of the Hägglund and Söner turret. This weapon fires 20 x 139 mm ammunition with a rate of fire of around 900 rounds per minute and features a ballistic computer to assist the gunner in aiming using the weapon's optical and passive IR sights. The turret was also fitted with a Rheinmetall MG3 7.62mm general purpose machine gun mounted coaxially above the 20mm cannon, Firing NATO 7.62×51mm ammunition with a rate of fire of 1,000-1,300 rounds per minute to provide infantry support fire and for use against lightly-armoured vehicles and other 'soft-skinned' targets. A 71 mm LYRAN mortar is also fitted at the rear of the turret which along with illumination rounds could also fire high-explosive / anti-personnel and smoke rounds.

Drawing on a variety of influences (feminism, structuralism, Marxism especially the work of Louis Althusser and Antonio Gramsci, sociology, critical race theory, and post- structuralism), over the course of several decades the Centre pioneered a variety of approaches to the study of culture, including: ideological analysis; studies of working-class cultures and subcultures; the role of media audiences; feminist cultural research; hegemonic struggles in state politics; and the place of race in social and cultural processes. Notable Centre books include Off-Centre: Feminism and Cultural Studies, Resistance through Rituals, The Empire Strikes Back, Border Patrols: Policing the Boundaries of Heterosexuality. The history of this development can be found in the series of stencilled occasional papers the Centre published between 1973 and 1988. To mark the 50th anniversary of the CCCS's founding, the University of Birmingham—in collaboration with former members of staff at the Centre, including Richard Johnson, Stuart Hall and Michael Green—created an archive of CCCS-related material at the Cadbury Research Library at Birmingham.

Boyd 1965, page 65 Tyler's report led to an unusual alteration, as it was discovered that the internal width of the overbridges was only , but the railway's passenger carriages were wide, leaving only clearance on either side, which was less than the minimum required clearance of . To alleviate this problem, McConnel proposed that the doors on one side of each carriage be permanently barred and the track slewed off-centre beneath the bridges to allow adequate clearance at least on the side with doors, which would allow passengers to get out of the carriages if the train stopped underneath a bridge. Tyler agreed to this arrangement, and to this day all carriages on the Talyllyn have doors on one side only, an unusual feature for a public railway which is shared (albeit for different reasons) with the neighbouring Corris Railway.Boyd 1965, pages 68–69 Tyler also required that improvements be made to the railway's first two steam locomotives, as locomotive No. 1 suffered from excessive "vertical motion" and No. 2 was said to suffer from "horizontal oscillation".

Kite aerial photo of Cairnpapple Hill: henge and cairn Some time later a Bronze Age ritual added a small stone and clay cairn just off centre inside the monument, with a high standing stone to the east and a setting of smaller stones. Also aligned to this cairn were sockets for three upright stones at the centre of an arc of seven small pits, six of which contained cremated bones and two contained remains of bone skewer pins. Under the cairn traces were found of at least one burial, with wooden objects (perhaps a mask and club) and beaker people style pottery which indicates a date around 2000 BC. This cairn was later covered by a second much larger cairn about across and several yards (metres) high, with a kerb of massive stone slabs, which incorporated Bronze Age burial cists, one of which contained a food vessel pot. Subsequently, more stone was brought in to increase this cairn to about diameter, enclosing two cremation burials in inverted urns and now covering the original ditch and bank, making the whole site a tomb monument.

The south facing side of the court was designed as a sister piece to the town hall, with Baroque features that helped established their reputation as setting a new standard in the emergence of the Edwardian grand style for public buildings in Britain. The external details lend heavily from the Baroque of south Germany and Austria combined with the neo-Baroque of Charles Garnier's Paris opera house. The similarities between the courts and the city hall can be seen through the south fronts, with bulging banded plinth and broad areas of channelling at angles and breaks, long round-headed lower windows set in concave surrounds and at the outer end of each facade, three-bay canted projections. Although difficult to appreciate from the ground, and more obvious from the building plans, is the off-centre tower of the city hall which was placed to link the two buildings, as it stands over the west side entrance of the hall and is aligned on the axis of the portico of the law courts.

Close to where the borders of Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands come together, the interlaced tunnel section provides an important connection between Germany and the Belgian harbour at Antwerp. After completing the installation in 1991, trains with an oversize loading gauge were rerouted over this line, and the lightly used (but tunnel-free) secondary line between Stolberg and Welkenraedt (crossing the border at Raeren) was closed to freight traffic. Electric-hauled trains requiring use of the central track will get their power from the right track's (in travelling direction Germany to Belgium) overhead rail, which to that purpose is slightly further off-centre than normal. Century 21 logo Immediately following completion and the first TV screening of Thunderbirds in 1965, AP Films was renamed Century 21 Productions to align it with its growing merchandising sister companies Century 21 Merchandising, Century 21 Toys and Century 21 Music. All Century 21's productions featured an opening ident(ification) of a field of pale concentric circles, which form a moving, off-centre tunnel against a blue background, into which flies a yellow dart which penetrates through a gap in the Century 21 logo already situated in front, at which point everything stops moving. This was accompanied by a typical Barry Gray string glissando and the caption "A Gerry Anderson Century 21 Television/Cinema Production" - the logo being part of that. This sequence was first used for the two Thunderbirds films that followed the series (Thunderbirds Are Go – premiering 12 December 1966 – and Thunderbird 6 in 1968), and two more Supermarionation series for ATV, Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons (broadcast between 1967 and 1968) and Joe 90 in (1968–69).

While it aired, the show was controversial for its raunchy content, as topics addressed included threesomes, circumcision, pornography and masturbation. On March 4, 2002, as the show faced pressure from watchdog groups such as the Parents Television Council (which voted Off Centre the second worst show for family viewing in 2002), The New York Post printed a memo from the WB's Standards and Practices Department to the creators of the show that stated: "It is essential to reduce and/or modify the significant number of uses of 'penis,' 'testicles,' 'foreskin' as well as euphemisms for the same, such as 'your thingie,'" the memo says in part. It also orders the exclusion of such references as "covered wagon", "unit", "turtleneck", "little fella", "anteater", "diddy", "cloaking device" and "my pig is still snuggly, wrapped in his doughy blanket." The episode which dealt with circumcision, "The Unkindest Cut", came under fire because of its treatment of the character Euan, who is British and has not been circumcised (the procedure is not routine and is uncommon in Europe and other parts of the world including Asia and South America), as well as the treatment of uncircumcised men in general.

The Delta HF 4WD was unveiled at the April 1986 Turin Motor Show, becoming the top of the Delta range. The HF 4WD's 1,995 cc, twin-cam, 8-valve engine with two counter-rotating balancing shafts was derived from the Lancia Thema i.e. turbo saloon. It was equipped with a Garrett turbocharger, a wastegate valve, an air-to-air intercooler and Weber IAW integrated electronic ignition and fuel injection; to support turbocharging it also adopted tri- metallic crankpin and main bearings, sodium-filled valves, bronze valve guides and an oil cooler. Engine output was at 5,250 rpm, and of torque at 2,750 rpm, that could rise to for short periods of time thanks to an overboost function. On the Delta HF 4WD the torque split ratio of the central epicyclic differential stood at 56/44 front to rear. The basic suspension layout of the Delta 4WD remained the same as in the rest of the two-wheel drive Delta range: MacPherson strut–type independent suspension on all four corners, dual-rate dampers and helicoidal springs, with the struts and springs set slightly off- centre. The suspension mounting provided more isolation by incorporating flexible rubber links.

In August 2006, Mabie had a solo exhibition entitled "ART and LIFE" at the Kootenay Gallery of Art, History and Science in Castlegar, British Columbia. In January 2007, he participated in HIT OR MISS: An Exhibition of Contemporary Drawing, a group exhibition at the Triangle Gallery of Visual Arts in Calgary. Mabie was a co- founder of The Parachute Centre for Cultural Affairs in Calgary, spent ten years operating The New Gallery (then, Clouds 'n' Water/OFF CENTRE CENTRE); he published Image and Information; he has taught at the Department of Art at the University of Calgary and currently at the Alberta College of Art and Design; he has initiated an artist's trading cards network; he has had a number of exhibitions including a retrospective at Illingworth Kerr Gallery in Calgary, Alberta. Mabie has presented lectures at various institutions, including: Ontario College of Art, University of Manitoba, University of Saskatchewan (Regina), University of Lethbridge, Edmonton Art Gallery, Glenbow Museum, University of Calgary, Alberta College of Art & Design, Medicine Hat Museum, Dallas Public Library (Dallas, Texas) and The Kootenay Gallery of Art, History and Science.
