The two seasons that followed were the show's roughest, both because the tone darkened and because the show had trouble calibrating that change: there was a flawed but ambitious season tracing a three-day prison riot, then one that involved a transfer to a maximum-security prison, which ended with Poussey's best friend, Taystee, who is poor and black, sentenced to life, while the bougie white Piper won early release.

It's now running faster sensors and offloading some of the work to the CPU, which enables firing off nearly two images for every one it used to in order to make sure that motion does not create ghosting in HDR images, it's picking the sharpest image and merging the other frames into it in a smarter way and applying tone mapping that produces more even exposure and color in the roughest of lighting conditions.

The Israeli model, through all its evolutions, involves in its roughest form a state whose symbols are Jewish; whose holidays and calendar come from the Jewish tradition; whose gates are always open to any Jew seeking refuge or a new home; whose government is accountable to an elected parliament; whose administration operates within the bounds of law; whose free market grows and brings in more people from more diverse backgrounds to participate in its activities; and whose people are entitled to the minimum civil and legal protections of a modern free society regardless of their religion or ethnicity.
