Dom and Dickie go to Lestor's club and Dom opens a safe in 10 minutes with a sledgehammer, only to learn the real safe is inside that safe. Before Lestor can cut off Dom's penis, Dickie smashes Lestor on the head with a statue and Dom knocks out his thugs with the sledgehammer. They run away from Lestor's club and Dom goes back to the local club where Evelyn was performing. There, Evelyn tells Dom he would only have spent three years in prison if he had ratted on Fontaine; because he didn't, he missed out on her childhood and her mother dying.

Knowing where the informant is hiding, the gang infiltrate his FBI safehouse to find that it was Hector who ratted on Hoxton. They kill him and recover the evidence that the FBI have about them. Around this time, Jacket (protagonist of Hotline Miami) joins the gang through unknown means, just as the gang further humiliate GenSec by stealing money from various display vaults at their newly built arena, during a concert by Swedish DJ Alesso. Later in the year, the Dentist gives the gang his final job - a heist on the Golden Grin Casino in Las Vegas.

Director/writer Brandon David based the movie on the events leading up to and following a months-long investigation by the Statewide Narcotics Task Force which resulted in the arrest of 21 people from Bristol, Plymouth, Southington, and Thomaston. David's friends Kevin Toolen and Miguel Rivera were arrested in the bust. David says he hoped to write on the experiences of his friends and himself while transporting marijuana with Toolen cross country. Several aspects of the movie are taken directly from the real life events, such as "Little Man" being ratted out by a trusted friend.

In Season 2, after the arrest of Lucious, she attempts to make a hostile takeover in Empire but fails due to their investor siding with Lucious and Jamal, further damaging Jamal and Cookie's relationship.

Danny and Tina escape and show up at the Waldorf to find Lou drunk and unprepared to perform. Danny sobers Lou with a unique concoction that he has come up with over the years; Lou sobers up, and gives a command performance. With a new prestigious talent manager in attendance at the performance, Lou, in front of Tina (and with her encouragement), fires Danny and hires the new manager. Danny, feeling cheated, goes to the Carnegie Deli where he hears that the client he ratted on to save himself was beaten up by the hit men and is now in the hospital.

Oswald is brought in for questioning by the agents, but he proclaims his innocence and is eventually released by the local sheriff. Later, Oswald, believing that Zero ratted him out to the agents, uses his powers to strike him dead with lightning. After learning of Oswald's release, the agents rush to the hospital to protect the Kiveats, but the power goes out when they arrive and Zero's corpse appears in the elevator when its door slides open. Oswald confronts Scully and Sharon, and the latter fearfully agrees to leave with him in return for her husband's safety.

The story concludes with Gillis being duped by Uggam into selling "medicine" (drugs) for him and gets ratted on, leading him to be arrested. An interpretation of the themes explored in this short story is similar to what is found in Alain Locke's anthology, The New Negro: transformation and self-expression. In comparison, Gillis transitions by the end of the story because when he first arrives in Harlem, "city of refuge", Gillis sees Harlem as a place of hope and freedom. He wanted to have the chance to achieve liberation and be set free from social and political restrictions from the place he originally came from.

Domingo Gallardo "Krazy-8" Molina (played by Maximino Arciniega) is a meth distributor associated with his cousin Emilio and Jesse Pinkman and is the main antagonist of the first half of Season One. Unbeknown to Walter and Jesse, Krazy-8 is a DEA informant, who acquired the customers of the dealers he ratted out. Krazy-8 becomes suspicious of Jesse when Jesse attempts to sell him a new product after Emilio's arrest, and Krazy-8 forces Jesse to take him to Jesse's new partner. Krazy-8 and Emilio suspect Walter is involved with law enforcement and appear intent on killing him until Walter offers to teach Krazy-8 his drug formula.

When Bobby is captured and tortured by August Marks, Chibs is visibly distraught when Marks sends Jax a Tupperware box containing Bobby's eye and later his severed fingers. Meanwhile, Jax begins to suspect that Jury is the one who ratted to the Chinese. When Jax fights and kills Jury, Jury's VP Gaines tells Jax that he is unfit to be President and tries to attack him, only to be restrained by Chibs who angrily states that "my boy ain't going nowhere". He later warns Jax that killing Jury will bring a lot of heat down on him and the Club, and that he should be prepared to defend himself.

Later they discuss terms of the deal at a nightclub, where Captain Zhang, posing as Haha, accuses "Uncle Bill" of being a cop, pretending to be infuriated, then leaving. The big 7 then confront him in the parking garage, revealing their identities and confirming their business relationship. On the day after that, Choi leads the big 7 and their entourage to the port, but instead pulls the entourage in front of a primary school as parents and children are arriving for the day. Choi removes his wires and reveals to the big 7 that he has ratted them out and they are surrounded by cops.

As Talon heads for the Downside, the Downsiders meet at the city hall ("Hall of Action") and plan to take action against the Topsiders. Railborn Skinner, Talon's former friend and the person who ratted Talon out, suggests knocking out the Topside's utilities to punish them for their "ungratefulness." Talon comes back and tells the Downsiders, who thought he was dead, about what he saw in the Topside; when the Wise Advisors ask Railborn what to do, Railborn orders for Talon to be sent to the Chamber of Soft Walls (the Downside mental ward). In the midst of the events, the Topside's utilities are knocked out (which include electricity, gas and water).

Burns promptly blackmails Homer to be his "personal hitman", to pie those that Burns hates, lest be ratted out to the police and being forced to do community service. After pieing himself and later a Girl Scout selling cookies, Homer is tasked by Burns to pie Tibetan Buddhism spiritual teacher, the Dalai Lama (as according to Burns "all his talk of peace and love is honking off my Red Chinese masters"). Appearing at the Lama's gathering, Homer sees Lisa is present and is stuck between breaking his promise to her and Burns' threat. Just as he prepares to pie the Lama, Homer stops and decides to reveal himself as the Pie Man.

In the fifth week, he got into a faked, blow-out conflict with the project manager of the task, Piers Morgan, in order to see if he could get the women to let him on their team to spy on them. The episode had played out like an episode of The Sopranos with Pastore switching allegiances multiple times. Pastore was deliberately "ratted out" to the women by Morgan in the end, to make Pastore look bad to the women. While Pastore and the men then lost their task, before Trump even lifted a finger to fire anyone that week, Pastore resigned from the show and Trump eventually accepted Pastore's resignation after trying to convince him to stay.

Foxy Brown (Pam Grier) seeks revenge when her government-agent boyfriend is shot down by members of a drug syndicate at her doorstep. She links her boyfriend's murderers to a "modeling agency" run by Steve Elias (Peter Brown) and Miss Kathryn (Kathryn Loder) that services local judges, congressmen, and police in the area. Foxy decides to pose as a prostitute to infiltrate the company, and helps save a fellow black woman from a life of drugs and sexual exploitation, and reunites her with her husband and child. Not long after she infiltrates the company, her relationship to her late boyfriend and her brother, Link Brown, who ratted her boyfriend out, is exposed.

Meanwhile, Jean is being chased by the MRD in the hospital and, once cornered, ratted out by Marjorie, she unintentionally manifested her enormously powerful Phoenix abilities in the heat of her fear and hopelessness, which caused an intense psionic wave that affected almost the entire city. Archangel, under Mr. Sinister's command, went to capture Jean but Cyclops and Emma intervened. They soon discovered that the reason why Jean was not in mental contact with Scott was because she had no memory of Scott. Archangel pursued them as they tried to get Jean home, Cyclops desperately fought him, but in the end both he and Jean were captured so that Sinister could take samples of their DNA for his experiments.

Dewey also has his hands full when the sadistic, hard-nosed vice principal Franklin T. Otto (William G. Schilling) reminds him that he will keep a close eye on Dewey for the entire semester as he is known for pranks and cutting classes. A subplot consists of hulking resident bully Garth Stimlovich (Tony Longo) returning to town to settle a score with Pete when he ratted him out in a school incident, causing him to get expelled and placed in military school. He also knows Pete has been taunting his younger brother and his friend. One night, as Gene is fixing the kitchen sink, he mistakenly receives a threatening phone call from Garth, complete with racial slurs, saying a fight is going to happen.

During season three, Doug becomes marginally involved in the storyline involving the seductive but manipulative Eve Whitman. Firstly, Dawson Leery calls him to the scene of a burglary at Evelyn Ryan's house, but fails to tell Doug that the perpetrator is Eve (after she had threatened Dawson that she will implicate him in the break-in if he ratted her out). During the same episode, Dawson solicits Doug's advice about tracking Eve down after she has disappeared. Dawson and Pacey trail Eve onto a yacht that she has been illegally living on, but being slick and devious, Eve gives them both the slip and makes an anonymous phone call to the police where Doug arrives and catches both Dawson and Pacey on board the boat, threatening to arrest them for trespassing.

According to Pitchfork's Madison Bloom, the track includes references to COVID-19 ("They sick, been hot, way before coronavirus") and Hernandez's cooperation with federal prosecutors and testimony ("Tell me how I ratted, came home to a big bag").

However, Mr Mackay informs Mr Barrowclough of what is happening, believing that gambling causes nothing but problems within prison, and disrupts the game by having a coal delivery take place at that moment. That evening, Fletcher is left in disgrace with the Governor, who orders him removed from his job at the farm, suspends all his privileges for four weeks, and to be moved to a single cell over concerns his a corrupting influence. Ives soon arrives to collect his winnings, taunting him at being caught out, only to learn that the prison will turn against him upon learning he ratted out Fletcher's actions to the guards. Fletcher refuses to cancel the bet to save Ives from trouble, having the last laugh on him by revealing he had bet with the entire landing that he would land in a single cell by Sunday.

When Doole realizes that they are just diplomats, and that he has effectively declared war on the New Republic, he panics. When combined with the fact that he thinks Solo knows he was the one that ratted out he and Chewbacca to the Imperials (the result of which was that Solo was forced to dump his cargo on the Kessel Run; Jabba the Hutt then placed the bounty on his head mentioned in Episode IV), Doole decides the best course is to place the two prisoners in his mines as slave laborers where they will no doubt perish soon. In the mines, the two, with the aid of a young Kyp Durron seek for an escape. Simultaneously, Luke Skywalker embarks on his search for talented Force-sensitives whom he can mold into Jedi within his new Jedi Praxeum.

Rob requests a visit from Tracy and tells his unnamed prison cellmate that he plans for revenge on Tracy and Carla of how they disowned him and how they called the police and had him imprisoned. After Tracy's visit, Rob requests a visit from Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley), and reveals that he is the father of Carla, as his mother shared the secret with him years ago. In April 2017, during the investigation over who pushed Ken Barlow (William Roache) down the stairs, Tracy goes to the old gym, where she meets a figure with a hood over its head, she shouts out at the figure and then the figure steps forward and takes down the hood to reveal Rob. Rob tells her that he has escaped from prison because he ratted on a gang in prison and when he was being transferred to another prison, the van crashed into a river and the police think he is dead.

A neighbor who lived across the street from Esther tells Monk and Natalie that Esther ratted him out to the cable company for hijacking their signal with an illegal converter box to watch a baseball game. He notes that he also sells antique cars to make some money (as he is unemployed), and when Esther saw people buying restored antique vehicles from him, she filed a complaint with the city clerk, who fined him for operating a business out of his house without first getting a license. Joe asks Natalie out on a date, and she accepts gladly; while picking her up, Joe also wins over Julie by giving her Sparky's firehouse badge and thanking her for caring enough about his dog to hire Monk. The next day, Monk, Natalie, and Stottlemeyer interview Lucas Breen, who is both rich and influential (he holds a seat on the police commission), and CEO of the Breen Development Corporation.
