The Bugaboos have several internationally known rock climbing routes. The Beckey-Chouinard (South Howser Spire), West Ridge (Pigeon Spire), Northeast Ridge (Bugaboo Spire), Snowpatch and Surf's Up (Snowpatch Spire) attract world-class climbers. There are both bolted and free routes throughout the group. Climbers and hikers often use the 40-person Conrad Kain hut, maintained by the Alpine Club of Canada.

McGee Creek Reservoir is a reservoir in Atoka County, Oklahoma. It impounds the waters of McGee Creek and several smaller streams, including Potapo, Panther, Little Bugaboo, Bear, Blue, Mill, and Crooked creeks, all of which are tributaries of Muddy Boggy River. According to the Bureau of Reclamation (BuRec), the reservoir was designed to extend up McGee Creek and up Potapo Creek when the water is at "conservation level."McGee Creek Project.

Conrad Kain (about 1910) Conrad Kain (10 August 1883, Nasswald – 2 February 1934, Cranbrook, British Columbia) was an Austrian mountain guide who guided extensively in Europe, Canada, and New Zealand, and was responsible for the first ascents of more than 60 routes in British Columbia. He is particularly known for pioneering climbs in the Purcell Mountains and the first ascents of Mount Robson (1913), Mount Louis (1916) and Bugaboo Spire (1916).

Tourism has become an active force in the economy. The Southern Trench is also known for a number of ski resorts in the trench or in the nearby tributary valleys. The igneous intrusion cooled slowly, forming the crystalline structure of the hard granite found today.

Andrew Carnegie by Francis Luis Mora The Empire of Business is a collection of essays written by Scottish-American industrialist Andrew Carnegie which were published in book form in 1902. The book shares his shrewd outlook on the economic situation in America at the turn of the 20th century; Carnegie discusses the rewards of hard work, integrity, frugality and other prudent qualities such as the "bugaboo of trusts" that he believes every person should possess if they wish to achieve success in their lifetime. Topics include the state of the oil and steel industries within the United States and the best uses of tariffs. The essays that form the book have been gathered from a number of well received publications from the era, these include the New York Evening Post, the New York Journal and Macmillan's Magazine. The Empire of Business provides the reader with an insight into one of history’s most notable entrepreneurs.
