The Kapellhaus was Haydn's home when he served as a chorister at the cathedral and composed the Missa brevis. It was torn down in 1804, a year before the elderly Haydn re- encountered his early work. XXII:5, bearing the full title Missa cellensis in honorem Beatissimae Virginis Mariae (Zell Mass in honour of the most blessed virgin Mary), also known as Cäcilien-Messe, was composed for Mariazell. After the original 1766 score was lost in a fire, Haydn recomposed the work from memory in 1773, at which time he likely also expanded it.

Joseph Franz Weigl (19 May 1740 - 25 January 1820) was a Bavarian and Austrian cellist. He was a cellist in the orchestra of the Esterházy family. He played under the directorship of Joseph Haydn, who also was godfather to the cellist's son, and it is thought that Haydn wrote his cello concerto in C major (Hob. VIIb/1) for him.

L'anima del filosofo, ossia Orfeo ed Euridice (The Soul of the Philosopher, or Orpheus and Euridice), Hob. 28/13, is an opera in Italian in four acts by Joseph Haydn, the last he wrote. The libretto, by Carlo Francesco Badini, is based on the myth of Orpheus and Euridice as told in Ovid's Metamorphoses. Composed in 1791, the opera was never performed during Haydn's lifetime.

Florence Greenberg (September 16, 1913 – November 2, 1995) was an American record label owner, music executive and a record producer. Greenberg was the founder and owner of Tiara Records, Scepter Records, Hob Records, and Wand Records. She is most known for her work as a record producer and music executive for several popular singers in the 60s including Dionne Warwick, the Shirelles, Tammi Terrell, Chuck Jackson, B.J. Marianna Auenbrugger (19 July 1759 in Vienna – 25 August 1782) was an Austrian pianist and composer. The daughter of the physician Leopold Auenbrugger, she was a highly regarded pianist and composer in Vienna. Together with her sister Caterina Franziska, she was a student of Joseph Haydn and Antonio Salieri. In 1780 Haydn dedicated a cycle of six sonatas to the two sisters (Hob XVI :35-39 and 20).

By 1989 HOB had gotten into an economic mess with the wide range of activities the company was pursuing, including travel agencies, hotels, construction and fur farming. To save the company from bankruptcy the Orkla owned Chr. Salvesen & Chr.

Although the movie was not considered as good as his first one, it was still quite a step. In 2007 Hamada Helal starred in a third movie "El Hob keda" acting as one of the main characters "Seif". The movies response was on a wide scale but mainly positive. He sang one of his most famous songs "When You Touch Me" which would later be added to his 2008 album.

The Missa cellensis, Hob. XXII:8, fully Missa cellensis fatta per il Signor Liebe de Kreutzner (Zell Mass made for Sir Liebe of Kreutzner), is Haydn's eighth setting of the Ordinary of the Mass and is often identified by the German name Mariazeller- Messe. It was commissioned by the officer Anton Liebe von Kreutzner on the occasion of his ennoblement. The mass was composed in 1782 for performance in Mariazell.

He is credited with bringing Algerian singer Warda to prominence.

Joseph Haydn's Horn Concerto No. 1 in D major, (Hob. VIId/3) was completed in 1762, "when Haydn was new to the Esterhazy court." Because of the low range writing in the Adagio, some musicologists believe the concerto was written for Thaddaus Steinmüller. The first performance is believed to have taken place March 25, 1768 in Vienna with soloists Anna Maria Scheffstoss and Carl Friberth, with Haydn conductingp. 3 (2002) Green from the harpsichord.

Old Leake was a railway station on the East Lincolnshire Railway which served the village of Old Leake in Lincolnshire between 1848 and 1964. It originally opened as Hob Hole and was renamed three times within the first five years of opening. Withdrawal of passenger services took place in 1956, followed by goods facilities in 1964. The line through the station remains in use as the Poacher Line.

XXVIII:6) is an opera in three acts by Joseph Haydn first performed at Eszterháza on 29 August 1775 to mark the four-day visit of Archduke Ferdinand, Habsburg governor of Milan and his consort Maria Beatrice d'Este. The Sinfonia Concertante in B flat major (Hob. I/105), by Joseph Haydn was composed in London between February and March 1792. The work is a sinfonia concertante with four instruments in the solo group: violin, cello, oboe and bassoon. He studied with his brother, and his repertoire featured works by Simon. He was presented at the Concert Spirituel in spring 1770 and often appeared thereafter with favorable reviews.

2013 was a new era for the band. Members have changed for a new album that had its release party and concert at the House of Blues in Chicago in May 2013. The choice of a suburban location away from the city centre was influenced by the fact that single-engine helicopters available at the time were not allowed to fly over built-up areas, in case of engine failure. The Helen Anderson House is a well preserved English Cottage Revival structure in Phoenix, Arizona. Joseph Haydn Orlando paladino (English: The Paladin Orlando), Hob. 28/11, is an opera in three acts by Joseph Haydn which was first performed at Eszterháza on 6 December 1782. The libretto by Nunziato Porta is based on another libretto, Le pazzie d'Orlando, by Carlo Francesco Badini (set by the composer P.A. Guglielmi in 1771), itself inspired by Ariosto's epic poem Orlando furioso. The opera was described as a dramma eroicomico and the plot mixes heroic and comic elements.

The second and fourth movements of this symphony are based on movements of a Concerto for Lire Organizzata in F, Hob. The Battle of Bamber Bridge was an outbreak of racial violence between Black and white American servicemen stationed in the British village of Bamber Bridge, Lancashire in June 1943. The incident, which occurred a few days after the 1943 Detroit race riot, began when white Military Police (MPs) attempted to arrest several African American soldiers from the racially segregated 1511th Quartermaster Truck Regiment at Ye Old Hob Inn public house in Bamber Bridge. The Beverly Hills, California-based corporation accounted for about $1.3 billion in concert box-office sales during 2005, according to Billboard magazine's tracking. Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG Live) was ranked second with $417 million, followed by House of Blues (HOB Entertainment) at number three with $245 million.

Hob Broun (born Heywood Orren Broun; 1950 – December 16, 1987) was an author who lived in Portland, Oregon. Following the publication of his first novel, Odditorium, Broun required spinal surgery to remove a tumor that ultimately saved his life but resulted in his paralysis. Subsequently, he wrote two books by blowing air through a tube that activated the specially outfitted keyboard of a computer. Using this technology, he completed a second novel, Inner Tube, and wrote the short stories contained in a posthumously published collection entitled Cardinal Numbers which won an Oregon Book Award in 1989.

'Cofgod' (plural Cofgodas ("cove-gods")) was an Old English term for a household god in Anglo-Saxon paganism. The Classicist Ken Dowden opined that the cofgodas were the equivalent of the Penates found in Ancient Rome. Dowden also compared them to the Kobolds of later German folklore, arguing that they had both originated from the kofewalt, a spirit that had power over a room. If it is true that such beings were known to the early English, later legendary beings such as the English hob and Anglo-Celtic brownie would be the modern survival of the cofgod.

The lubber fiend, Lob, lubberkin, lurdane or Lob Lie-By-The-Fire is a legendary creature of English folklore that is similar to the "brownie" (or "Urisk") of Scotland and northern England, the "hob" of northern England and the Scottish Borders, the Slavic "domovoi" and Scandinavian "tomte". It has been related also to Robin Goodfellow, and Hobgoblins. It is best known for being mentioned by John Milton. The Strays are the remains of much greater areas of common land on which the hereditary Freemen of the City had, since time immemorial, the right to graze cattle. After the Parliamentary Enclosures of the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, whereby commons were enclosed and rights of pasturage extinguished, areas of grazing land were allotted to the Freemen in lieu of their existing rights. Together with the Knavesmire and Hob Moor, land already used by the City for pasturage, these areas became the Strays, land vested in the Corporation to be held in trust for the Freemen of each of the original four Wards of the City.

On the evening of 24 June, 1943 some soldiers from the 1511th Quartermaster Truck regiment were drinking with the English townsfolk in Ye Old Hob Inn. Two passing MPs, Corporal Roy A. Windsor and Private First Class Ralph F. Ridgeway, entered the pub and attempted to arrest one soldier (Private Eugene Nunn) upon seeing he was improperly dressed (in a field jacket rather than class A uniform). An argument ensued between the Black soldier and the white MPs, with local people and British servicewomen of the Auxiliary Territorial Service siding with Nunn. A British soldier challenged the MPs, saying “Why do you want to arrest them? They’re not doing anything or bothering anybody.” Black Staff Sergeant William Byrd defused the situation but as the MPs left a beer was thrown at their jeep.

Campervans may be equipped either with a "pop-up" roof which is raised during camping or a fixed roof, either shared with the commercial van that forms the basis of the vehicle (commonly a "high-top" model), or as part of a custom coachbuilt body. Campervans usually have a small kitchen with a refrigerator (which is often powerable by a choice of gas, battery, or mains electricity) and a two-burner gas hob and grill. In 2004, Al Sahir collaborated with Lenny Kravitz and released an anti-war song at Rock The Vote, titled "We Want Peace", and shortly afterward released a song entitled "The War Is Over" (Entahat al harab) with Sarah Brightman, which was released on her album Harem and his album Hafiat Al-Kadamain which was highly praised in the middle east. Both of these international duets were executive produced by Dergham Owainati, of EMI Music Arabia, for Kadim's part. In 2004, Al Sahir continued to work with various international artists including Grammy Award-winning producers KC Porter, and Quincy Jones. His collaboration "Love & Compassion" (Hob Wa Haneen) was the title track for the Arab American National Museum Collector's edition honoring the artists that have made the most significant difference with international audiences.

Douglas Nicholas (October 3, 1942 - February 24, 2016) was an American poet whose work appeared in publications such as Atlanta Review, Southern Poetry Review, Sonora Review, Circumference, A Different Drummer, Cumberland Review, and the South Coast Poetry Journal. However, in Scotland and parts of northern England near the Scottish border, beliefs in elves remained prominent into the nineteenth century. James VI of Scotland and Robert Kirk discussed elves seriously; elf beliefs are prominently attested in the Scottish witchcraft trials, particularly the trial of Issobel Gowdie; and related stories also appear in folktales, There is a significant corpus of ballads narrating stories about elves, such as Thomas the Rhymer, where a man meets a female elf; Tam Lin, The Elfin Knight, and Lady Isabel and the Elf- Knight, in which an Elf-Knight rapes, seduces, or abducts a woman; and The Queen of Elfland's Nourice, a woman is abducted to be a wet-nurse to the elf- queen's baby, but promised that she may return home once the child is weaned.
