Left with no choice, the princess flees with her newfound belongings as well as a golden ring, thimble, and miniature spinning wheel her mother had given her. The princess trudges in the cover of night, through snow, deep into a forest which takes her to a foreign kingdom. The king there is out hunting with his men in the morning and happen upon the princess, in her coat of a thousand furs, sleeping in the hollow of a tree. They capture her and put her to work in the palace kitchen, under the watch of a cranky cook.

Feeling guilty for D'Angelo's murder, which he believes could have been prevented had he involved the state police, Jesse trudges on with the case. He took it personally after Abby's murder, and wanted to catch the killers without the state police. They obtain a search warrant for the Lincolns' rented penthouse condo and find pictures of the victims on their computer, and the abandoned Saab. Jesse's ex-wife Jenn wonders how they got to the mall without their car, which leads Jesse to check car rentals and match them with names of people who patented optical scanners.

Daffy, in a Jerry Colonna-like sarcastic aside to the audience, remarks: "Likable chap, isn't he?", intending to take advantage of this condition to cause pain to his employer. Daffy does many stunts that keep the man awake, complete with escorting him to room 666. Every time he is awakened again, the increasingly irritated man trudges to the lobby, to the tune of "Pop Goes the Weasel", and at the second where the song says "pop", he punches Elmer in the face (Elmer at one point gets hit through the phone and later dons a knight's helmet in a futile attempt to prevent getting hit).

In February 2020 a seven-foot mural of the work Standing For Us All by Balkowitsch was going to be displayed on the side of a bakery business in Bismarck, North Dakota. A Bismark TV station reported on the planned mural and threats of vandalism and boycotts from the community followed. The mural Liberty Trudges Through Injustice by Balkowitsch and on display in Bismark since the Spring of 2019 was vandalized on February 13, 2020. Standing For Us All is an image showing Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg looking off into the distance taken by Balkowitsch during Thunberg’s visit to Standing Rock Indian Reservation in October 2019.

Soon, Lucky discovers that the unknown pup scent belongs to Grunt, spying on them, now called Fang (his Pack has even mimicked their dead longpaw masters by maiming his ears to crop them like theirs). From this report, the Wild Pack must move on. As the Pack of 18 trudges through different regions, they encounter volcanic acid rain, and Alpha starts to show signs of uncertainty when deciding which direction to go - he foolishly tries to cover his incompetence up by taking suggestions from other high-ranking packmates, like Sweet or Fiery. Eventually, they discover a small abandoned longpaw town (not much affected by the Big Growl) filled with dead longpaws.

A similar shooter released that same year was Cabal (1988), which inspired many of its own "Cabal clones," such as NAM-1975 (1990) and Wild Guns (1994).

Buckland Bund was a very elegant riverfront of Dhaka in the early 1900s but has since deteriorated. Academic Partha Chatterjee describes it, in 2002, as "one of the most congested streets of the city. He didn't know about its origins, but when Monk, Natalie and Stottlemeyer were confronting Breen with their murder accusations, Breen saw the homeless man outside, and recognized the coat. Seeing the one piece of evidence that could send him to death row passing his building, Breen tracked the homeless man down, killed him, and then stole his overcoat. The three race to Breen's house to try and recover the coat, but they are too late: Breen has incinerated the overcoat in his fireplace, and (while sniffling due to a bad cold) smugly informs them that they have no evidence left to connect him with any crime. Monk trudges back to Natalie's house, feeling defeated.

Police inspector Stucky (Giuseppe Battiston), an awkward outsider of half-Persian descent, is assigned to the baffling case in which the main suspect is a dead man. Inexperienced and in new territory, Stucky trudges through the villages' unresolved issues, before realising the key to solving the mystery lies in understanding the culture of the Prosecco Hills themselves.
