Despite initial hardships, the newspaper grew influent and has been the largest in Norway since 1981. In 1963 it assumed the tabloid format as the first in Norway, reportedly to Christensen's dismay. Christensen also chaired the Norwegian Press Association from 1958 to 1962, and was instrumental in establishing the Rights and Duties of the Editor code in 1953 and for the revision of the Ethical Code of Practice for the Norwegian Press in 1956. This was the first revision since the code's inauguration in 1936.

The upper level of the building also has a facade facing the water; this also has three round-arch windows. Because the Principal Gatehouse was intended as a public space, its interior was also finished, unlike that of the Influent Gatehouse. The walls were plastered, and there were stairs, constructed of wrought iron, which were used to reach a platform giving a view of the water. These staircases are believed to the oldest surviving example of wrought iron stairs intended for public use in the United States.

The wealthy Court of Burgundy displayed unprecedented splendor, culminating in the sumptuous wedding of Charles the Bold and Margaret of York, "the wedding of the century", still celebrated in Bruges nowadays every five years. Another time for celebrations were the chapters of the Order of the Golden Fleece, were members of the order reunited. The order, who promoted chivalry and Christianity, was very influent in Europe.

The Ombla is a short river in Croatia, northeast of Dubrovnik. Its course is approximately long, and it empties into the Rijeka Dubrovačka, ria formed by the Adriatic Sea near Komolac in Dubrovnik-Neretva County. Rijeka Dubrovačka is actually a ria, a flooded river valley formed through changes in sea surface elevation on a geologic time scale. The river rises as a karst spring fed by groundwater replenished by Trebišnjica, which is an influent stream flowing in Popovo Polje, in the immediate hinterland of the Ombla.

In the same year, an appointed aide to his father, then governor of Cape Verde, Fontes moved to the territory, where he resided until 1842, producing reports and maps and working on various projects. At the age of 21, Fontes married Maria Josefa de Sousa, daughter of an influent merchant of Cape Verde. Levels of AO in untreated influent were found to be 2.3–27.8 ug L−1, while in effluent they were found to be 0.4–2.91 ug L−1. The highest effluent concentrations were found in oxidation ditch and trickling filter treatment plants.

Popovo field ( / Попово поље, , "Priest's Field") is a polje (karstic field) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, located in a southernmost region of the country, near the Adriatic coast. Its size is . Popovo polje is one of the largest polje (karstic plains) in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the world, famous for its karstic phenomenons and features, and particularly the Trebišnjica river, which flows through the polje as the largest sinking river (also losing stream, or influent stream) in the world, as well as the Vjetrenica cave system, located to the west/south-western parts of the valley.

Survey catches in 1927-28 included several Haplochromis species that are now thought to be extinct, including: Haplochromis flavipinnis, Haplochromis gowersii, Haplochromis longirostris, Haplochromis macrognathus, Haplochromis michaeli, Haplochromis nigrescens, Haplochromis prognathus. As well as being due to the introduction of Nile Perch, the extinction of cichlids in the genus Haplochromis has also been blamed on the lake's eutrophication. The fertility of tropical waters depends on the rate at which nutrients can be brought into solution. The influent rivers of Lake Victoria provide few nutrients to the lake in relation to its size.

The Wittockiana is supported by the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles . The museum reflects Wittock's interests and focuses on books and bookbindings dating back to the Renaissance to our time. Among others it holds an almost complete collection of the Almanach de Gotha, a collection of appr. 600 precious rattles (the former collection of Idès Cammaert), the archives of Valere Gille, a writer and influent personality in the literary world of the first half of the 20th century (whose office furniture is designed by Paul Hankar) and a part of the personal archive of Lucien Bonaparte.

The MBBR system consists of an aeration tank (similar to an activated sludge tank) with special plastic carriers that provide a surface where a biofilm can grow. The carriers are made of a material with a density close to the density of water (1 g/cm3). An example is high-density polyethylene (HDPE) which has a density close to 0.95 g/cm3. The carriers will be mixed in the tank by the aeration system and thus will have good contact between the substrate in the influent wastewater and the biomass on the carriers.

Lamella clarifiers are unable to treat most raw feed mixtures, which require some pre-treatment to remove materials that could decrease separation efficiency. The feed requires initial processing in advanced fine screening and grit and grease removal to ensure the influent mixture is of an appropriate composition. The layout of the clarifier creates extra turbulence as the water turns a corner from the feed to the inclined plates. This area of increased turbulence coincides with the sludge collection point and the flowing water can cause some re suspension of solids, whilst simultaneously diluting the sludge.

In some situations in which a traditional treatment plant cannot fulfill required treatment (due to higher loading rates, stringent treatment requirements, etc.) the owner might opt to convert their traditional system into a multi-SBR plant. Conversion to SBR will create a longer sludge age, minimizing sludge handling requirements downstream of the SBR. The reverse can also be done where in SBR Systems would be converted into extended aeration (EA) systems. SBR treatment systems that could not cope up with a sudden constant increase of influent would easily be converted into EA plants.

O Bando do Velho Jack (in English: "Old Jack's Gang" or "Old Jack's Band"), or simply "O Bando", is a Brazilian rock/blues band formed in 1995 in the city of Campo Grande, capital of the Mato Grosso do Sul state, located in the central- west region of Brazil. The band's name is a reference to the famous Tennessee whiskey Jack Daniel's. Considered one of the most influent bands on the Brazilian classic rock music scenario, the band has five albums (four officially released), mixing autoral music with some covers.

Suspension mixed lagoons flow through activated sludge systems where the effluent has the same composition as the mixed liquor in the lagoon. Typically the sludge will have a residence time or sludge age of 1 to 5 days. This means that the chemical oxygen demand (COD) removed is relatively little and the effluent is therefore unacceptable for discharge into receiving waters. The objective of the lagoon is therefore to act as a biologically assisted flocculator which converts the soluble biodegradable organics in the influent to a biomass which is able to settle as a sludge.

Nicolo Pallavicino was a very influent man in Palermo and Genoa as he was the banker of the duchy of Mantua, Vicente I Gonzaga de Mantua and Peter Paul Rubens, in his stay in Genoa, between many others.

Iron oxide adsorption is a water treatment process that is used to remove arsenic from drinking water. Arsenic is a common natural contaminant of well water and is highly carcinogenic. Iron oxide adsorption treatment for arsenic in groundwater is a commonly practiced removal process which involves the chemical treatment of arsenic species such that they adsorb onto iron oxides and create larger particles that may be filtered out of the water stream. The addition of ferric chloride, FeCl3, to well water immediately after the well at the influent to the treatment plant creates ferric hydroxide, Fe(OH)3, and hydrochloric acid, HCl.

The coolant liquid may act as a neutron absorber, as a neutron moderator, usually as both but with one or other role as the most influent. In either case, the amount of void inside the reactor can affect the reactivity of the reactor. The change in reactivity caused by a change of voids inside the reactor is directly proportional to the void coefficient. A positive void coefficient means that the reactivity increases as the void content inside the reactor increases due to increased boiling or loss of coolant; for example, if the coolant act predominantly as neutron absorber.

In 1899, Jersey City, New Jersey contracted with a private water company for the construction of a new water supply on the Rockaway River. The water supply included a dam, reservoir and 23-mile pipeline and was completed on May 4, 1904. The only treatment provided to the water supply was the residence time in Boonton Reservoir and the resulting sedimentation processes, which resulted in a significant decrease in the bacterial concentrations in the reservoir influent. City officials were not pleased with the project as delivered by the private water company and filed a lawsuit in the Chancery Court of New Jersey.

An initial scheme, the Ludzack–Ettinger Process, placed an anoxic treatment zone before the aeration tank and clarifier, using the return activated sludge (RAS) from the clarifier as a nitrate source. Influent wastewater (either raw or as effluent from primary clarification) serves as the electron source for the facultative bacteria to metabolize carbon, using the inorganic nitrate as a source of oxygen instead of dissolved molecular oxygen. This denitrification scheme was naturally limited to the amount of soluble nitrate present in the RAS. Nitrate reduction was limited because RAS rate is limited by the performance of the clarifier.

IMLR may be 200% to 400% the flow rate of influent wastewater (Q). This is in addition to Return Activated Sludge (RAS) from secondary clarifiers, which may be 100% of Q. (Therefore, the hydraulic capacity of the tanks in such a system should handle at least 400% of annual average design flow (AADF). At times, the raw or primary effluent wastewater must be carbon-supplemented by the addition of methanol, acetate, or simple food waste (molasses, whey, plant starch) to improve the treatment efficiency. These carbon additions should be accounted for in the design of a treatment facility's organic loading.

Janine Reding and Henry Piette graduated in piano pedagogy in 1943. In May 1945, following advice from the conductor Leon Guller, the young couple devoted themselves to performing repertoire for two pianos. The duo’s early career was boosted thanks to support from Marcel Cuvelier, director of the Philharmonic Society in Brussels, and later from Ernest Ansermet, famous conductor at Radio Suisse Romande, and Émile Vuillermoz, influent French musical critic. During this period, the Duo played the first European performance of the Sonata for two pianos and percussion by Béla Bartók in both its chamber and orchestral versions.

Population density around Lake Victoria Pollution of Lake Victoria is mainly due to discharge of raw sewage into the lake, dumping of domestic and industrial waste, and fertiliser and chemicals from farms. The Lake Victoria basin, while generally rural, has many major centres of population. Its shores are dotted with key cities and towns, including Kisumu, Kisii, and Homa Bay in Kenya; Kampala, Jinja and Entebbe in Uganda; and Bukoba, Mwanza, and Musoma in Tanzania. These cities and towns are also home to many factories that discharge some chemicals directly into the lake or its influent rivers.

The oldest surviving yalı is the one built by the grand vizier Amcazade Köprülü Hüseyin Pasha (of the highly influent Köprülü family) in 1699 at the Kanlıca neighbourhood (within Beykoz district), on the Asiatic shores of the Bosphorus. From this yalı, the hall of audience (divanhane) and its immediate annexes have survived. On the opposite European shores, the oldest to remain is the "Şerifler Yalısı" in the Emirgan neighbourhood (within Sarıyer district), which was built in 1780 but bears the name of a later owner. The most expensive yalı is "Erbilgin Yalısı" located in Yeniköy, Istanbul.

The group was founded in 1996 by Christian Rebecchi and Pablo Togni while they were both students in the art school in Lugano, Switzerland. A losing stream, disappearing stream, influent stream or sinking river is a stream or river that loses water as it flows downstream. The water infiltrates into the ground recharging the local groundwater, because the water table is below the bottom of the stream channel. This is the opposite of a more common gaining stream (or effluent stream) which increases in water volume farther down stream as it gains water from the local aquifer. Losing streams are common in arid areas due to the climate which results in huge amounts of water evaporating from the river generally towards the mouth.

Hydraulic retention time and hydraulic loading rate both affect treatment and effluent quality. Hydraulic retention time is the actual time the wastewater is in contact with the filter media and is related to the depth of the vermifilter (which may increase over time due to the accumulation of earthworm vermicastings), reactor volume and type of material used (porosity). The hydraulic retention time determines wastewater inflow rate (hydraulic loading as influent volume per hour). In principle, provided the environment is aerobic, the longer the wastewater remains inside the filter, the greater the BOD5 and COD removal efficiency will be, but at the expense of hydraulic loading.

The name Quarto Oggiaro derives from the ancient toponymy Quarto Uglerio: the word Quarto, meaning fourth, is a clear reference to the distance of four Roman miles from the center of Milan; while the second part of the name, Uglerio, is supposed to be the name of some influent inhabitant of the area in ancient times. The transformation from Uglerio to Oggiaro can be found on the city maps of 1872, but it can be already seen on some maps of the Spanish period. Candido Maria Trigueros (4 September 1736 - 20 May 1798) was a Spanish poet, theatrical author and illustrated journalist. He was born at Orgaz. After living out of Church appointments for over thirty years in Carmona, Seville, participating for many years in meetings of the "Real Academia Sevillana de Buenas Letras" and those organized by influent politician Pablo de Olavide y Jáuregui, and being appointed through pressures of his Madrid colleagues a Librarian, since 1784, at the "Reales Estudios de San Isidro de Madrid". He participated then in a fluid exchange of ideas and correspondence with the foremost politicians, academicians, writers and historians of the late-18th century Madrid.

The publications of the publishing house suffered from the leakage of Walter, and in the 1990s it was acquired by the Patmos publishing group. After the extremely conservatic Catholic publications under Otto Friedrich Walter's father, and his progressive program, since the 1960s the complete edition of the works of the Swiss psychologist Carl Gustav Jung was published. In the following decades the Psychology according to Jung became influent in the publisher program, inter alia with the works of Verena Kast and Eugen Drewermann, and even Wilhelm Reich's "Christusmord" was released. The literary programme was continued, but restricted and travel guides were a further pillar.

The Federalist Party (Partito Federalista) was a federalist Italian political party. It was launched as Federalist Union (Unione Federalista) on 1 June 1994 by Gianfranco Miglio, an influent Senator and political scientist who left Lega Nord in May over disagreements with Umberto Bossi, and Umberto Giovine, an ex-Socialist who was at the time member of Forza Italia. In July 1995 the group was strengthened by the joining of eleven deputies: all former members of Lega Nord, who had previously joined the Federalist Italian League and the Federalists and Liberal Democrats. Kanza Riaz of The Express Tribune wrote for her February 2016 blog stating that Mann Mayal is teaching our society some horrendously wrong things! Riaz discouraged the plot of Manahil and Salahuddin's love story saying that Mannu's young age love has a negative affect for Pakistan's youth, she also says that it highlights a bad influent for women. The Clubs of Reformist Initiative (Circoli di Iniziativa Riformista) was a social-democratic connected to Forza Italia, a political party in Italy. Its members were mainly former members of the Italian Democratic Socialist Party (PSDI), a centrist social-democratic party which has been a minor but influent political force in Italy between 1947 and 1994, and its leader was Senator Carlo Vizzini, former minister and leader of PSDI. The goal of the faction was to unite all the members of Forza Italia who come from either that party or the Italian Socialist Party (PSI). When Forza Italia was merged into The People of Freedom in 2009, Vizzini launched European Reformists, a social- democratic think tank, that replaced the Clubs.

Zoroastrianism is practised in Russia by a number of recent Russian converts, though the religion was historically influent in the region of the Northern Caucasus, among the Scythians and later in Alania and Caucasian Albania. There are two Russian Zoroastrian organisations: the "Zoroastrian Community of Saint Petersburg" registered in 1994 and originally founded at the beginning of the 1990s by Pavel Globa as the "Avestan School of Astrology"; and the "Russian Anjoman", headquartered in Moscow with branches in several other cities, that collaborates with the "Anjoman Bozorg Bazgasht", an organisation of Iranian Zoroastrian immigrants in Europe. The Russian Anjoman calls its faith "Blagovery", and in general Zoroastrianism in Russia has close links with Rodnovery.

Jean Gaudreau (born May 27, 1964) is a Canadian artist, painter and engraver. He is considered one of the most influent contemporary painters in the province's capital (Capitale-NationaleBernier 2002, p. 218–219). In 2008, he was immortalized as one of the most notorious figures of Quebec's contemporary art by Robert Lepage during the celebrations for the 400th anniversary of the foundation of Quebec City. In his animated film Le Moulin à images, Robert Lepage projected images of artworks by Jean Gaudreau next to works from Jean- Paul Lemieux, Martin Bureau, Jean-Paul Riopelle et Alfred Pellan, among others, on grain silos located in Anse au Foulon, in Quebec City's old port.

In order to keep up with the increase of influent wastewater produced by the ever-growing city of Los Angeles, by 1957 the plant engineers had cut back treatment levels and increased the discharge of a blend of primary and secondary effluent through a pipe into the ocean. They also opted to halt the production of fertilizers and started discharging digested sludge into the Santa Monica Bay through a pipe. Marine life in Santa Monica Bay suffered from the continuous discharge of of sludge per month. Samples of the ocean floor where sludge had been discharged for 30 years demonstrated that the only living creatures were worms and a hardy species of clam.

This lake is the clearest and least polluted lake in Europe, due to the absence of influent rivers and the advanced plant-based purification system installed on the northern side. The north end of the lake is marked by the Roman milestone, on which a two sided niche has been constructed, a memorial of the time (in the early 19th century, during the so-called Little Ice Age) when a carter fell asleep and his oxen carried his wagon, loaded with stone, onto the ice-covered lake, but the ice did not break. The River Ravella, a mountain stream ideal for climbing and for geological excursions, photographed not far from Gajum springs.

Se7en Wetlands receives approximately 10 million gallons of wastewater a day. The wastewater is then gently fed into the wetlands via distribution ditches, and water levels in the wetland are maintained by control structures. Se7en Wetlands also receives reclaimed water that has not been used for irrigation, from Polk County.

Crassus once more remarks how much honour gives the knowledge of civil right. Indeed, unlike the Greek orators, who need the assistance of some expert of right, called pragmatikoi, the Roman have so many persons who gained high reputation and prestige on giving their advice on legal questions. Baggio reached its peak of splendour between the 9th and 11th century, under the rule of the eponymous family ("da Baggio", i.e. "from Baggio"; also known as "the Baggi"), when it became an influent political and military centre. The Baggio family was so important that one of its members, Anselmo da Baggio, became Pope, with name Pope Alexander II. Over the centuries, Baggio remained largely independent of Milan, despite the proximity. Specifically, this is the ability to consume simple carbon compounds (energy source) without the presence of an external electron acceptor (such as nitrate or oxygen) by generating energy from internally stored polyphosphate and glycogen. Most other bacteria cannot consume under these conditions and therefore PAOs gain a selective advantage within the mixed microbial community present in the activated sludge. Therefore, wastewater treatment plants that operate for enhanced biological phosphorus removal have an anaerobic tank (where there is no nitrate or oxygen present as external electron acceptor) prior to the other tanks to give PAOs preferential access to the simple carbon compounds in the wastewater that is influent to the plant. A PAO related to the Betaproteobacteria has been identified and named Candidatus Accumulibacter Phosphatis.

Already in his seventies and unable to bear the pressure, the Prime Minister of Portugal, António de Noronha, resigned. The slave traders gained some time and, strongly backed by the Septembrist front, now in power, Arsénio de Carpo pursued a career in politics, presenting himself as a candidate to both the senate and the Cortes, hoping - in vain - to be elected as the representative for Angola. During this period he also managed the supply of British ships at the harbour of Luanda, profusely offering his estates to influent British friends, who apparently ignored that their man in Luanda was one of the last slave traders in the area. In 1848 he even travelled to London and paid homage to Queen Victoria.

Henrique José Monteiro de Mendonça (4 February 1864 – 1 November 1942) was an influent Portuguese capitalist in Lisbon and important landowner in the Portuguese colony of São Tomé and Príncipe; he was one of the protagonists of the economic phenomenon that saw that colony turn into one of the world's main producers and exporters of cocoa in the early 20th century. Henrique de Mendonça was President of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry from 1911 to 1913, and, from 1930 to 1942, National President of the Portuguese Red Cross. He commissioned architect Miguel Ventura Terra a mansion in the Avenidas Novas, a new area of the city of Lisbon created as it expanded north absorbing nearby rural areas and farmlands. The works lasted from 1900 to 1909 and, that year, the project received the prestigious Valmor Prize.

Since the ERP was the sole criterion for drug pricing in these countries, the observed decrease can only be due to ERP implementation. It was also observed that prices decreases was correlated with the frequency of price revision, with countries infrequently revising prices having flat prices, whereas those with frequent revising saw a regular price decline over time. The median drug price decrease observed at 10 years was approximately 15%. A report for the European Commission simulated various ERP use strategies for drug price regulation, and found that frequent price revisions, iterative price cuts, having a large number of countries in the basket, price calculation methods, the impact of generics and prices’ sources were the most influent parameters on the drug prices evolution over time for countries using ERP as their main criterion for drug price regulation.

Development of a submerged microbial desalination- denitrification cell (SMDDC) to remove nitrogen and saline from subsurface water alleviates the demand for additional compounds acting as electron donors and instead produces both a net energy and clean, desalinated and denitrified water. In contrast to the typical MDC model, the SMDDC excludes a middle desalination chamber, but instead only contains an anode and cathode chamber separated by a polycarbonate plate and are parallel to the exterior AEM and CEM respectively. Nitrate is introduced through the AEM into the anode chamber through synthetic groundwater, then propagated as an effluent through the external loop to the cathode chamber, in which nitrate is reduced to nitrogen by the cathode and sodium influent. A wastewater feeding tank pumps water to the anodic chamber for subsequent oxidation of sludge by the anodic biofilm.

José Curry da Câmara Cabral was born in São Mamede, Lisbon on 4 May 1844, the son of Alberto Curry da Câmara Cabral and his wife, Mariana Adelaide Runquist Cabral. His paternal family was from Faial Island, in the Azores, and descended from Andrew Curry, a British subject who had settled in the Azores in the 18th century, establishing familial relations with influent local families, namely the Arriagas. Vjetrenica is located in Popovo Polje (pronounced , meaning priest's field, where polje stands for karstic plain), which is itself located in a southernmost regions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, West Herzegovina, near the Adriatic coast. Its entrance is near the village of Zavala, in west - south-western corner of polje. In the warmer parts of the year a strong blast of cold air blows from its entrance, which is very attractive in the middle of the rocky, hot and waterless terrain. Popovo Polje is one of the largest polje (karstic plain) in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the world, famous for its karstic phenomenons and features, and particularly for its Trebišnjica River, which flows through the polje as largest sinking river (also losing stream, or influent stream) the world, as well as the Vjetrenica cave system, located to the west/south-western parts of the valley.

Second of five siblings, Giuseppe Provenzano was born in one of the most important and richest families in Palermo, from Sebastiano Provenzano and Orsola Briuccia, rich landlords in the territories of Corleone. He spends his early ages between Corleone, managing some affairs of his father's activities, and Palermo. For the entire period of his lower studies (from elementary to high schools) he attends the Istituto San Luigi Gonzaga in Palermo, where he had as school mates some of the most important and influent future politicians of the regional and national scene, such as Enrico La Loggia, Leoluca Orlando, Gianfranco Micciché, Francesco Musotto, or notable future members of the Italian financial scene, such as Antonello Perricone or Gaetano Micciché. He's the younger brother of Antonino Provenzano, incumbent Italian ambassador in Bratislava, and older brother of Paola Provenzano entrepreneur and member of the board of Confindustria (the Italian Organization of Industries) and president of AIDDA (the Italian Organization of Female Managers).

As of the 18th century, the Ottoman Empire pursued a policy aimed at settling these populations in permanent settlements; the process was more or less complete in the 19th century, although it involved many difficulties and much tension. Between the 1832 Convention of Kütahya leaving the territorial gains acquired by Ibrahim Pasha of Egypt to his administration till the 1841 London Conference convened to settle the question, Çukurova remained under the rule of the Khedive of Egypt. Although the period of Egyptian rule, motivated by Egypt's perennial need, timber for the navy, was relatively short, it left important marks in such areas as the introduction of industrial-scale cotton production and new arrivals into the population tissue of the region. Cottonpickers of Çukurova still start their workday with prayers for the memory of İbrahim Pasha, and the locally influent Menemencioğlu family, with notable descendants till our day, including Turkey's foreign minister during the Second World War, Numan Menemencioğlu, rose to notability by acting as middlemen for the Pasha.
