Tintenbar is a rural area that has many environmental features. It is surrounded by the localities of Knockrow to the north, Fernleigh and Brooklet to the north-west, Teven to the South-West, Cumbalum to the South, and Lennox Head to the East. There are several creeks that flow through Tintenbar. The major one is called Emigrant creek.

They used mostly their own horses and borrowed some horses from the community for shows. In 1998, the GSUET moved to Evermore Farm in Brooklet, about a 30-minute drive from the GSU campus. They also hired Elanor Ellis as their new coach, who is still the coach today. In 1999, a certified American Quarter Horse Association judge, Ms. Jones, left UGA and worked with Georgia Southern for a year to help improve the equestrian program.

The original name of Iron City was Brooklyn. When the town was incorporated on December 20, 1900, its name was changed because much of the town's mail was sent to Brooklet, Georgia. According to the Seminole County Historical Society, it is believed that the name "Iron City" came about when a new well was being dug and hit a spot of iron ore. The citizens of Iron City thought that the discovery would bring great wealth to the people of the town.

In April 1907, Bloom exhibited seven pieces of his original works at the Reinhard Rieger Gallery in Mount Penn. The exhibition also included a copy of The Brooklet In the Meadow, by Herman Rheudesela that Bloom painted (the original painting was also exhibited). Bloom later moved to New York and occasionally returned to his hometown of Reading to spend time with his family and attend Elks Club meetings. He also trained horses for Metropolitan Race Clubs in the New York and Pennsylvania area and in Cuba.

John Gillies Rennie (November 14, 1904 - February 13, 1952) was a Quebec politician and educator and a member of the Legislative Assembly of Quebec from 1947 until his death in office. He was born in Brooklet, near Hinchinbrooke, Quebec, the son of Frederick Malcolm Rennie, farmer, and Maria Carter. He went to school in Stark School House in Godmanchester, Quebec, at Huntingdon Academy, at McGill University, and then at Bishop's College in Lennoxville, Quebec. He received a bachelor's degree in economics and political science in 1929. He took correspondence courses from Queen's University and received a diploma in the field of life insurance in 1932.

Today, Morehart Park includes a pavilion, a disc golf course, separate tennis and basketball courts, a softball and baseball field, playground areas for children, and hiking and jogging paths. The Morehart Spring is nestled away in a heavily wooded eastern portion of the park; it is the source of a small northward- flowing brooklet that throughout the year provides vitally needed pure, crystalline water for the park's wildlife and birdlife. The park takes its name from the family of Amos Morehart and his wife Emma Harrison Morehart. Amos Morehart and his new bride Emma first settled on what is now a portion of the park land in 1890: in that year the land had been given as a wedding present to Amos Morehart by his father, Henry Morehart.

The Nadela originates from the Botoš sluice gate on the Canal Danube-Tisa-Danube-Tamiš crossing, at an altitude of . This is just the first of the many sluice gates on the river's course (Tomaševac, Uzdin, Putnikovo, Kovačica, Debeljača) which channel the waters into the southern direction. Near the village of Uzdin, Nadela's waters are used for the Uzdin fish pond. Until Debeljača the Nadela (in this section also called Veliki kanal or big canal) flows as the real river, but after the Debeljača catchment for the purpose of irrigation, the river shrinks in terms of volume and discharge to the level of a brooklet, which combined with the use of water for industry in Jabuka and Pančevo down the stream and small inclination of the watershed (mouth at ) means that without sluice gates pumps to push the water, the river would stop flowing.
