The Legend of Johnny Cash, Vol. II is a compilation album by Johnny Cash, released on Island Records in 2006. The release was a result of the success of the 2005 career-spanning compilation The Legend of Johnny Cash. Sighted by the enemy, who reported them as one battleship, one cruiser, and four destroyers, the American warships spent most of the day on 14 November avoiding contact with enemy planes. From the information available in dispatches, the commander of the American task force, Rear Admiral Willis A. Lee, knew of the presence of three groups of enemy ships in the area, one of which was formed around at least two battleships.

Fortunately for Zeng, his established dealings with high-ranking officials, including He Guoguang (賀國光), Xia Douyin, Xu Yuanquan, and He Chenrui (何成睿) gave him leeway in operating his opium empire. In fact, the authorities unofficially allied with opium dealers as a means of netting extra revenue and the drug trade was difficult to clamp down on. By-and-by the opium-dealing circle grew in size, largely due to an influx of salt merchants, and Zeng was granted the right to legally ship opium by his friends in the government who also invested in his firms. He was appointed chairman of the "Special Business Association" whose members included drug dealers and smugglers from all parts of the world.

Portugal has taken a similar stance and also France appears to follow this suit. In November 2012 French president François Hollande announced plans to reduce tax burden of the corporate sector by within three years, while increasing the standard VAT from 19.6% to 20% and introducing additional eco-taxes in 2016. To minimise negative effects of such policies on purchasing power and economic activity the French government will partly offset the tax hikes by decreasing employees' social security contributions by and by reducing the lower VAT for convenience goods (necessities) from 5.5% to 5%. ;Progress Eurozone economic health and adjustment progress 2011–2012 (Source: Euro Plus Monitor) On 15 November 2011, the Lisbon Council published the Euro Plus Monitor 2011.

In running away, they fall into a cold and smelly mud puddle and take refuge in a cattle car to dry off and warm up. They fall asleep and wake to find themselves in a small town in Tuscany, and then begin to wander in the countryside of Poggibonsi (Siena). They try to scrounge food from the old woman Beatrice, but she does not even know how to feed the seven children living with her, and she is forced to sacrifice his old turtle. By and by they come across a restaurant owned by two hunters, who are in the habit of serving the customers only after enjoying their own comfortable meal and who keep their waiter chained up like a dog.

By and by, when the Engagers returned to power, the Act of Classes was repealed, and a new army was levied which, to a large extent, was officered and filled by men who were regarded as unfaithful to the Covenant. In favour of this proceeding, however, the Church, forsaking the higher sphere, issued certain Resolutions, which were strenuously protested against by a large and influential minority. Such was the origin of the controversy between the Resolutioners and Protesters, which raged with unabated animosity for many years. Those in favour of the loosening of the conditions for fighting were known as Resolutioners, a name derived from their approval of the resolutions of Commission and Parliament for the levy of 23rd December.

It is the story of Cottontail, a small, brown mother bunny who aspires to be an Easter Bunny which, in this telling, is a highly competitive position for which only 5 bunnies are selected each year. She applies only to be scorned by the elite Easter bunnies, “big white bunnies who lived in fine houses” who tell her to “go back to the country and eat a carrot.” She returns to the country where “by and by she had a husband and then one day, much to her surprise there were twenty-one Cottontail babies to take care of.” She brings them up exceedingly well, teaching them to be responsible, self-reliant and cooperative by requiring them to help in the vegetable garden and with the housework.

A version of this song, sung by both actors, is part of the game's soundtrack. Given the opportunity for a broadcast trailer, Levine wanted to create a mood piece, and centered the trailer around desolation of the workers in the factories of Columbia in the Finkton district, providing the basis for the creation of the Vox Populi. The trailer had received some criticism from religious groups, believing that its producers had purposely removed the word "Lord" from the song, but Levine pointed out that the original hymn, written in 1908, did not include the word; it was added in the Carter Family recording of "Can the Circle Be Unbroken (By and By)" in 1935. A third trailer was released in October 2012, entitled "Beast of America".

This noted five earlier large-scale palaeoclimate reconstructions, then discussed the reconstruction going back to 1400 AD and its extension back to 1000 AD in (MBH99), while emphasising the substantial uncertainties in the earlier period. The MBH99 conclusion that the 1990s were likely to have been the warmest decade, and 1998 the warmest year, of the past millennium in the Northern Hemisphere, with "likely" defined as "66-90% chance", was supported by reconstructions by and by using different data and methods.

Meyer argued that the retroactive imposition of concepts use to analyse the forms of modern industrial economies, with their wage labour and complex financial webs onto classical societies was flawed from the start. Mackin's historical romance, Dreams of Empire (1996) was favourably received, with Publishers Weekly saying "Plenty of romance and intrigue, vital characters and exquisite details of both period and place ensure a vigorous and satisfying read." Kirkus described it as "A richly intelligent and charming spellbinder." Her novel The Sweet By and By (2001) was described by Kirkus as "a deft combination of historical fiction and ghost story, as well as a compelling meditation on the power of the past to alter the present". The Baltimore Sun criticised it for veering off and "producing far more than one too many modern-day coincidences, going a little heavy on all that pining for the lost beloved", while concluding the story was "great fun for a stormy evening".

Until the 18th century, also the rules for noble games and courtly contests were named so. In modern times, especially in the 18th and 19th centuries, the term "cartel" was also used for intergovernmental agreements of technical kind: The guiding idea of a conflict confining clause came to light in various treaties between belligerent states, such as “cartels” on the postal and Trade or the treatment of couriers, prisoners of war and deserters. It is not until about 1880 that the term "cartel" also means the restriction of competition between entrepreneurs. Initially, this usage was only spread in the German speaking countries in Europe. Only by and by, this novel word meaning was imported into neighboring languages (either as “Kartell” or “cartel”) and by this the economic aspect became the predominant meaning of “cartel”.

Another time Tagaro placed a tabu upon all coco-nuts so that no one should eat them; but Meragbuto paid no attention to this prohibition, eating and eating until he had devoured nearly all of them. Thereupon Tagaro took a small coco-nut, scraped out half the meat, and leaving the rest in the shell, sat down to await the coming of Meragbuto, who appeared by and by, and seeing the coco-nut, asked Tagaro if it was his. "Yes," said Tagaro, "if you are hungry, eat it, but only on condition that you eat it all." So Meragbuto sat down and scraped the remainder of the nut and ate it; but though he scraped and scraped, more was always left, and so he continued eating all day.

92 The final movement From Hanover Square North, At the End of a Tragic Day, The Voice of the People Again Arose, recalls Ives' experience of May 7, 1915, the day that the news broke of the sinking of the RMS Lusitania, preceding the United States' entry into the First World War. Ives' focus, however, as Clayton Henderson notes, is not about the sinking per se, but rather "the reaction of a group of commuters".Henderson, Clayton W. (2008) The Charles Ives Tunebook, Indiana University Press, p. xii According to his own memoirs, the crowd waiting on the platform of New York's Hanover Square station spontaneously broke into the gospel hymn In the Sweet By and By – a tune that was being played on a barrel organ on the street below.

Chesney formally joined Saracens on 1 July 1995, making his début against Shannon RFC at the start of the 1995–96 Allied Dunbar Premiership season on 2 September of that year. Despite this early run out, first team appearances proved hard to come by and by 1998 spells on loan to Bristol Rugby and crossing codes to appear for the then London Broncos. Upon his return to Saracens first team starts came along more often and by the 1999–00 season he had become a regular with 19 appearances in the Allied Dunbar Premiership alone. After this break through Chesney rarely relinquished his position as a first choice selection other than through injury, such as the serious cruciate and medial knee ligament damage during the 2000-01 Zurich Premiership season.

By the British front parapet had been demolished and a mine detonation buried the party sheltering in The Tunnel, killing all but three men; two mines were blown on the left of the 10th Sherwood Foresters (10th Sherwood) on the left of the 51st Brigade. IR 124 attacked on a front from the canal to a feature known as the Ravine, a stream parallel to the canal. The British front line was captured by and by all objectives had been taken, apart from a machine-gun post at the junction of trenches A platoon sent to replace the men trapped in The Tunnel were all killed and the Bluff was captured, as were the front trenches of the 10th Sherwood Foresters. Some German troops pressed on to the British support trenches but were repulsed.

During the American Civil War, veterans sang a song devoted to "The Army Bean" which used a tune derivative of "The Sweet By-and-By". Mark Twain made fun of the song's ubiquitous popularity, along with the demographic groups in which it became popular, in chapter 17 ("A Banquet") of his 1889 satirical novel A Connecticut Yankee In King Arthur's Court. The protagonist, Hank Morgan, a visitor from the future, attends a lavish court dinner given by Morgan Le Fay, King Arthur's sister, during which guests are regaled with music: > In a gallery a band with cymbals, horns, harps, and other horrors, opened > the proceedings with what seemed to be the crude first-draft or original > agony of the wail known to later centuries as "In the Sweet Bye and Bye." It > was new, and ought to have been rehearsed a little more.

In addition, it appeared as if the Tyto of the youngest samples fell into 2, not 3 size groups. Presumably, the island was initially colonized by T. balearica whose core range eventually extended from the Apennines westwards to Iberia; they might have become cut off from the main population when the Mediterranean reflooded at the end of the Messinian salinity crisis 6 million years ago. The entire population evolved into larger T. robusta, which were still close enough in size to exclude T. balearica from maintaining a constant presence alongside the larger owls. By and by, much of the fauna of Gargano Island, in a dramatic case of evolution according to Cope's Rule, became larger and larger; the barn-owls were not an exception as there was larger and larger prey accessible only to large individuals of each successive generation.

Evidence of his skill as an architect may be seen in the church and campanile of All Saints Church, Oxford, and in three sides of the so-called Peckwater Quadrangle of Christ Church, which were erected after his designs. Battle of Seattle After a difficult winter, most of the Denny Party relocated across Elliott Bay and claimed land a second time at the site of present-day Pioneer Square, naming this new settlement Duwamps. Charles Terry and John Low remained at the original landing location, reestablished their old land claim and called it "New York", but renamed "New York Alki" in April 1853, from a Chinook word meaning, roughly, "by and by" or "someday". For the next few years, New York Alki and Duwamps competed for dominance, but in time Alki was abandoned and its residents moved across the bay to join the rest of the settlers. David Swinson "Doc" Maynard, one of the founders of Duwamps, was the primary advocate to name the settlement Seattle after Chief Si'ahl (, anglicized as "Seattle") of the Duwamish and Suquamish tribes.

As can be seen from statistics, though, that had no particular effect either for Gimsbach or for many other villages around the Potzberg. Although the Reformed faith according to John Calvin's teaching was never promoted by the state in the County Palatine of Veldenz, there nevertheless came to be, by and by, quite a number of Christians of this denomination in Gimsbach, numbers that could have been strengthened by newcomers from the neighbouring Duchy of Palatinate- Zweibrücken. Said to be the hub for those of the Reformed faith in the Ämter of Lauterecken and Reichenbach was at first the Reformed church in Neunkirchen. Of course, having the Potzberg with its steep slopes standing between them and their church made it quite hard for the Calvinists to attend services, and thus in 1774 in Gimsbach, another Reformed church arose, which was financed with donations from all over the world.

In a plot similar to Singin' in the Rain, Rabbit is named the first mayor of the Hundred Acre Wood for his great effort on planning their best friends picnic. Unfortunately, when Darby says that a mayor is in charge of everything, this goes to his head and he makes up a lot of rules, like "No Bouncing", "No Honey" and everything is by a schedule. By and by everyone gets annoyed by the new rules and finally when everyone (especially Tigger) can't follow the rules Rabbit and Beaver, who becomes the vice-mayor, decide to divide the wood so that Rabbit could be mayor on one side, and Tigger can be mayor on the other and they have Beaver draw a white line through the Hundred Acre Wood. The problem is that the White Line separates the people on each side from their friends.

Peter Igelhoff (born Rudolf August Ordnung, 22 July 1904 in Vienna – 8 April 1978 in Bad Reichenhall) was an Austrian pianist, light music and film composer, arranger and entertainer; he took his mother's maiden name as soon as he resolved on a career in light entertainment. Igelhoff made an early career as a jazz pianist in bars before deciding to hone his playing style by studying in London in the early 1930s. He moved to Amsterdam and later in 1935 to Berlin where he became extremely busy in film and recording studio work with a group including fellow composer-pianist Georg Haentzschel (1907-1992). Many of Igelhoff's light songs sold very well and his career was not hindered initially by the outbreak of war in 1939, although by and by the National Socialists started to deem his music too American in style and it was eventually banned.

It also marks the appearance of four-ship, vice the six-ship, divisions that had existed through 1930. Squadron Two, the flag in , at that point consisted of three divisions of flush-deckers: Division Four, consisting of , , and ; Five: , , , and ; and Six: , , , and . On 1 August 1932, Division Six's four ships were placed in Rotating Reserve Squadron 20, the Battle Force's first rotating reserve commission pool at Mare Island, Vallejo, California, replaced by , , and . By the following spring, the old Division Six that had been in rotating reserve became the new Division Four, while the rest of the squadron composition remained unchanged. became the new squadron flagship by 1 July 1933, relieved by the beginning of 1934 by while Squadron Two's three divisions went through Rotating Reserve Squadron 20 into the spring of 1935, with essentially sixteen ships rotating through the squadron during that time.

This outcrop is isolated from the main extent of these rocks (which form the South Wales Coalfield and its margins some miles to the south) by the Devonian Old Red Sandstone on which it rests by and by which it is surrounded.British Geological Survey, 2007 Bedrock Geology UK South 5th Edn, 1:625K scale map, Keyworth Grenvillian inliers located within the Appalachian orogeny include the Pine Mountain Belt in Georgia, the French Broad Massif along the Tennessee and North Carolina border, Sauratown Mountain Massif in North Carolina, the Shenandoah Massif in Virginia, the Baltimore Gneiss Domes in Maryland, the Honey Brook Upland in Pennsylvania, and the Reading Prong, which extends from Pennsylvania into New York. Other inliers include the Berkshire Massif, which extends from Massachusetts into Vermont, and the Green Mountain Massif in Vermont. Associated Canadian inliers include the Blair River Inlier on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, the Steel Mountain Terrane on Newfoundland, and the Long Range Inlier on Newfoundland.

Reagon states that her role models in terms of music are Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, and Bessie Jones, because they assisted her understanding of traditional singing and the fight for justice. She also sees Deacon Reardon as an importance to her work as a historian studying African American sacred worship traditions, and she states that he impacted both her spiritual and musical development. Reagon's work as a scholar and composer is reflected in her publications on African-American culture and history, including: a collection of essays entitled If You Don’t Go, Don’t Hinder Me: The African American Sacred Song Tradition (University of Nebraska Press, 2001); We Who Believe In Freedom: Sweet Honey In The Rock: Still on the Journey, (Anchor Books, 1993); and We'll Understand It Better By And By: Pioneering African American Gospel Composers (Smithsonian Press, 1992). Reagon has recorded several albums on Folkways Records including Folk Songs: The South, Wade in the Water, and Lest We Forget, Vol.

One day a woman who was watching her garden close to the ocean, seeing a great fish sporting in the surf, walked out into the water and played with the fish, continuing to do this for several days. By and by the woman's leg, against which the fish had rubbed, began to swell and became painful until at last she got her father to make a cut in the swelling, when out popped an infant. The boy, who was named Dudugera, grew up among the other children of the village until one day, in playing a game, he threw his dart at the other children rather than at the mark, whereupon they became angry and abused him, taunting him with his parentage. Fearing lest the others might really harm him, Dudugera's mother determined to send him to his father; so she took the boy to the beach, whereupon the great fish came, seized him in his mouth, and carried him far away to the east.

Thus, according to one tale, when Qat had finished his work of creation, he proposed to his brothers, Tagaro, that they make canoes for themselves. Qat himself cut down a great tree and worked secretly at it every day, but made no progress, for each morning, when he came back to his task, he found that all that had been done the previous day was undone, and the tree-trunk made solid again. On finishing work one night, he determined to watch, and accordingly, making himself of very small size, he hid under a large chip which he carried away from the pile that he had made during the day. By and by a little old man appeared from a hole in the ground and began to put the chips back, each in the place from which it had been cut, until the whole tree-trunk was almost whole once more, only one piece being lacking, namely, that under which Qat had hidden himself.

When the cannibals tried to climb the barricade, they slipped and fell, and the boys rushing out succeeded in killing them both after a hard fight. The children then called to the boy's mother, who had been greatly terrified, and when she came and saw both the cannibals dead, she built a fire, and they cut up the bodies and burned them, saving only the breasts of the ogress. These Tamus put in a coco-nut-shell, and setting it afloat on the sea, said: "Go to the people who ran away from here, and if they ask, 'Have the cannibals killed Tamus, and are these her breasts?' remain floating; but if they say, 'Has Tamus borne a son and has he killed the cannibals, and are these the breasts of the ogress?' then sink!". The coco-nut-shell floated away at once and by and by came to the new village built by the people who had fled years before.

Early in life, and we believe > through the preaching of the Haldanes, his attention was directed to > religious matters; and by-and-by he began to preach to others the Gospel > which had brought so much comfort to himself. Indeed, it may be said that he and his wife, by their remarkable diligence and sound sense, had made a fortune out of the umbrella notion before other manufacturers had any idea of the money that was in it. Now fox's peragon frames, with a well known trademark suggested by the inventors name-a fox-are known wherever umbrellas are used. At first the business was limited to making the frames, which went to Manchester to blossom into umbrellas; but Mr. Fox was not the man to let others do his work if he could help, and by and by he undertook the covering of the frames as well, turning out the umbrella in all its multiplicity of forms and sizes complete and ready to be placed upon the market. Mr. Benjamin Nicholson, of Shoreham Steel Works (now at Bramall lane), was the first roll steel for the paragon frames, and he well remembers that Mr. Fox had it at the fine "double bullet" quality.

In the following years, other sections to Bernau and Königs Wusterhausen were provided with a second pair of track. With individual sections dating from the 1870s, the S-Bahn was formed by and by as the network of suburban commuter railways running into Berlin, then interconnected by the circular railway connecting the various terminal railway stations, and in 1882 enhanced by the east–west cross-city line (called the "Stadtbahn", "city railway"). The forming of a distinct identity for this network began with the establishment of a special tariff for the area which was then called the "Berliner Stadt-, Ring- und Vorortbahnen", and which differed from the normal railway tariff. While the regular railway tariff was based on multiplying the distance covered with a fixed price per kilometer, the special tariff for this Berlin tariff zone was based on a graduated tariff based on the number of stations touched during the travel.

Upon returning from a trip with her husband NG MAN TAK (Chung King Fai), cookery teacher LO SIU LAI (Lee Sze Kei, Louise) is shocked to find that her little daughter NG CHOI NI (Chen Fala) has started cohabiting with a homosexually inclined colleague LAU TAT YAN (Hung Tin Ming) while her divorced sister LO SIU MEI (Ng Wing Mei) is seemingly caught up in a love triangle between tenant YAU KAI (Mak Cheung Ching) and her ex-husband. By and by TAK is forced to retire early and stays at home all day with nothing to do. LAI, on the other hand, is lucky enough to have the opportunity to host a culinary show on TV. Everything seems to have happened too fast but this does not leave LAI frustrated and accursed. Instead she tries to get round every problem with even more patience and dedication, which however is not appreciated by TAK.

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band next sought to solidify its reputation as a country band when band member John McEuen asked Earl Scruggs if he would record with the group. Earl's "yes" was followed the next week when John asked Doc Watson the same question, receiving the same answer of 'yes'. This set in motion the further addition of other artists, and with the help of Earl and Louise Scruggs, they set to traveling to Nashville, Tennessee, and recording what was to become a triple album, Will the Circle Be Unbroken with Nashville stalwarts Roy Acuff, Earl Scruggs, and Jimmy Martin, country pioneer Mother Maybelle Carter, folk-blues guitarist Doc Watson, Merle Travis, Norman Blake, and others. The title is from the song, "Will the Circle Be Unbroken (By and By)", as adapted by A. P. Carter, and reflects the album's theme of trying to tie together three generations of musicians: long-haired boys from California and older veterans of the middle American establishment.

Peppard F.C. was a football team based in Rotherfield Peppard, Oxfordshire. Founded as Sonning Common Peppard F.C., they changed their name to Peppard F.C. in 1990, and after winning the Chiltonian League two years running (in 1990–91 and 1991–92) they were promoted to the Combined Counties Football League. They won the Combined Counties Football League two years in succession (in 1992–93 and 1993–94) but left to rejoin the Chiltonian League in 1996–97. They were league runners-up in 1998–99, and after the Chiltonian League merged to form the Hellenic Football League, Peppard were placed in Division One East. Success then was harder to come by, and by 2002 the club's future was in grave danger and they had quit the Hellenic Football League at the end of the 2002–03 season. The club had tried to improve its facilities for many years; in 1994 their basic railed-off pitch had denied them the chance of promotion to the Isthmian League Premier Division.

Processual archaeology originated in American Archaeology, where analysing historical change over time had proved difficult with existing technology Processual archaeology (formerly, the New Archaeology) is a form of archaeological theory that had its genesis in 1958 with the work of Gordon Willey and Philip Phillips, Method and Theory in American Archaeology, in which the pair stated that "American archaeology is anthropology or it is nothing" (Willey and Phillips, 1958:2), a rephrasing of Frederic William Maitland's comment: "My own belief is that by and by anthropology will have the choice between being history and being nothing." The idea implied that the goals of archaeology were, in fact, the goals of anthropology, which were to answer questions about humans and human society. That was a critique of the former period in archaeology, the cultural-history phase in which archaeologists thought that any information that artifacts contained about past people and past ways of life would be lost once the items became included in the archaeological record. All they felt could be done was to catalogue, describe, and create timelines based on the artifacts.

The marriage of his successor Duke Henry II the Pious with Anne of Bohemia, daughter of King Ottokar I, strengthened the ties between the Silesian Piasts and the Bohemian Přemyslid dynasty. However, after Henry's death in the 1241 Battle of Legnica, Silesia by and by split into numerous petty states under his descendants.
