He demanded the utmost of himself and his singers; his rehearsal style was rigid, for example a former singer recalls that boys who were not able to sight-read contemporary music—Strohbach, Kodály—had to stand for 45 minutes. The repertoire has been focussed on sacred music from the Renaissance to contemporary music, accenting Bach's cantatas, motets and oratorios. Under Thamm's direction, the choir began in 1955 to sing regularly in vesper services called "Motette" at St. Lorenz. He frequently conducted performances at the festival Bachwoche Ansbach.
The snare drum is one of the most easily recognizable instruments in the entire percussion section. Also called the side drum, the snare drum is often used as a means of accenting rhythms from other families of instruments within the orchestra or as a soloistic type , particularly in pieces that may have a "military" type theme or sound to them. The term "hereditary prosopagnosia" was introduced if DP affected more than one family member, essentially accenting the possible genetic contribution of this condition. To examine this possible genetic factor, 689 randomly selected students were administered a survey in which seventeen developmental prosopagnosics were quantifiably identified. Above a certain point, these repetitions transition from rhythmic to tonal frequencies, making musical notes out of the repeated audio. These extremely short, fast groups of notes are often placed into the spacing of an eighth or sixteenth note in an otherwise "normal" bar, creating rhythmic accenting and patterns that call attention to a particular section.

Trousers worn with boots did not have any decoration on the lower part whereas those worn with spats had decoration down the legs accenting the cut of the trousers and round the hems or turn-ups.

Textile Center Building, built 1926 Lee gained during the 1920s when his idea to transform the city's aesthetic with real estate developer Florence Casler took hold. Together Lee and Casler erected what she termed a "utopian commercial area" centered on Pico Boulevard and Maple Avenue. Between 1924 and 1929 they erected many major specialized industrial buildings including the Textile Center Building, the Allied Crafts Building, the Bendix Building, the Printing Center, the Graphic Arts Building, the Garment Capitol Building, the Elias- Katz Shoe Factory (now the Downtown Women's Center) the Furniture Exchange Building, and the Merchants Exchange Building. Lee shared Casler's love of modern design enhanced with revival accenting and molding in terra cotta and stone.
The central block of the bath house is reminiscent of the original design seen in the 1928 architectural plans and in historic photographs. The pattern therefore is for the leader (opposite foot for follower) to transfer weight to left foot saying slow (2 beats, 1,2) and then quick as you shift onto right foot (1 beat, 3) and then, quick, as you shift back to left foot (1 beat, 4). This repeats on beats 5-8 starting with weight transfer on to right foot, etc.. Once this is mastered it is easy to progress to other skills, including accenting, as discussed below, the second and sixth beats. After mastering the basic rhythm, one may replace simple weight transfers by very small steps to shuffle in place or just a little sideways or the couple may rotate in either direction, usually in the clockwise direction.
