After Blanche died in 1947, the garden was left untended. The restored house and gardens Michel Monet died heirless in a car crash in 1966.

Mes (Prachaya Ruangroj) died over 20 years ago with no one ever looking after his grave. Now, living as a ghost, all he does is sit and lie all day waiting for someone to visit him during the Qingming day — an event which happens only once in every year. The preserve was closed when the Soberanes Fire was started by campers in Garrapata Canyon who left a fire untended on July 22, 2016. The fire burned through Palo Colorado Canyon in less than two days, destroying 57 homes and 11 outbuildings in the Garrapata and Palo Colorado Canyon areas. The following winter Rocky Creek washed out the Palo Colorado road, and additional slides and slip outs closed the road. Monterey County states that it does not have the funds to repair the road, preventing visitors from accessing the park.

The White Mosque ( or Ak Mesxhid), also known as Sultan Bayezid II. Mosque, is a ruined mosque in Berat Castle, Berat, Albania. From the small, roughly square mosque there are still about a meter high foundation walls and the base of the minaret, a little over two meters high. It was built with white limestone in 1417, and was destroyed sometime in the 19th century after a local uprising against the Ottoman Empire's Tanzimat reforms. It became a Cultural Monument of Albania in 1961, but was left untended after 1967 under Enver Hoxha's atheistic regime.

Air Greenland, Departures and Arrivals In the summer, the cargo boats of Royal Arctic Line connect Kulusuk and Tasiilaq, providing an ad hoc alternative for the helicopter flights of Air Greenland. In the winter, the inhabitants of the village use snowmobiles and traditional dogsleds as additional means of transport−families arriving at the airport are ferried to the settlement on both. Dogsleds are then left briefly untended, albeit accidental escapes amongst the dogs are rendered impossible through overturning the sled, and binding of the front paws of the dog pack leaders.

Philippe Prevot, Histoire des jardins, Editions Sud Ouest, 2006 The royal gardens at the private residence of Charles, Prince of Wales, Highgrove House, have been open to the public for 25 years. Many visitors have claimed that from outside the memorial, the field of grey slabs resemble rows of coffins. The mosque was built by Bosniak members of the Austro- Hungarian army serving on the Isonzo Front of World War I. For their religious needs, the military authorities permitted them to erect a small mosque in November 1916. The building was mostly built of cut stone, with a carved wooden porch, a domed roof, and a square minaret, and was surrounded by a stone wall and gated iron fence. An area near the mosque was designated the Log pod Mangartom Military Cemetery, where fallen Austro-Hungarian soldiers of all faiths were buried. At the end of World War I, the Bosnian Muslim troops returned home and left the mosque untended.

A group of police officers walked by, and each one lifted the bandana which concealed his identity, leaned down and spat on her face. While most other farming games have a "withering" mechanic which causes untended crops to lose their value, Pot Farm has a "protection level" for its crops. In the Facebook game, if crops are not balanced with guards and other protection-enhancing items, there is a risk of a character called Ranger Dick appearing and confiscating stash and crops. A minigame-like feature called 'Gold Rush Mode' was also available, which has been compared to Bejeweled, in which potbucks could be gambled for a chance to win many more. These aspects are not present in the mobile game, but posting more people around the farm has benefits including quicker grow times, more money from sales, and more experience.

In the original Haunted Mansions at Disneyland, the Magic Kingdom and Tokyo Disneyland, the mansion was designed to look clean and aesthetically pleasing. Phantom Manor, however, is designed to look clearly derelict and stands at the top of a small hill, looking out onto the southern side of Big Thunder Mountain, with a commanding view of the washed out trestle, the mine elevator, and the second lift hill. The Manor's grounds are untended, overgrown with weeds and scattered with dead vegetation. Upon entering the grounds, guests can see a bat guard box and a plaque on the wall which reads Phantom Manor – Non Omnis Moriar (Latin for "I shall not die completely").

Hippo at São Paulo Zoo In the late 1980s, Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar kept four hippos in a private menagerie at his residence in Hacienda Nápoles, east of Medellín, Colombia. They were deemed too difficult to seize and move after Escobar's death, and hence left on the untended estate. By 2007, the animals had multiplied to 16 and had taken to roaming the area for food in the nearby Magdalena River. In 2013, the National Geographic Channel produced a documentary about them titled Cocaine Hippos. As of early 2014, 40 hippos were reported to exist in Puerto Triunfo, Antioquia from the original four belonging to Escobar, English translation at Google Translate and in 2018 the growing population was estimated at 50–70.

Serbian archeologist Mirjana Stevanovic writes: "…it is unlikely that the houses were burned as a result of a series of accidents or for any structural and technological reasons but rather that they were destroyed by deliberate burning and most likely for reasons of a symbolic nature". Three golf courses take up most of the space on the park, and, although the blue course is a former SA open course and is still playable, the white and the yellow courses has been left untended for years and have gone to seed.
