Revolution Muslim (RM) was an organization based in New York City that advocated the establishment of a traditionalist Islamic state through the removal of the current rulers in Muslim-majority nations and an end to what they consider "Western imperialism," It was founded in 2007 by two American Muslim men Jesse Curtis Morton and Yousef Al-Khattab. They operated both on their website "RevolutionMuslim.com" and through street preaching and protests. They frequently protested outside the Islamic Cultural Center of New York, a moderate Muslim mosque.

Streets are numbered in ascending order heading west from near the Nassau County border, and are prefixed with the word "Beach." Streets at the easternmost end, however, are nearly all named. Bayswater, which is on Jamaica Bay, has its numbered streets prefixed with the word "Bay" rather than "Beach". Another deviation from the norm is Broad Channel; it maintains the north–south numbering progression but uses only the suffix "Road," as well as the prefixes "West" and "East," depending on location relative to Cross Bay Boulevard, the neighborhood's major through street.

In the late 1980s, Dalglish through Street Kids International arranged to rehabilitate and equip children's schools in southern Sudan as part of Operation Lifeline and hired Emma McCune to run the project. Between 2006 and 2010, Dalglish served as the executive director of the South Asia Children's Fund, which promotes education for disadvantaged children in the region. Dalglish served as Senior Advisor and Deputy Chief of Party for UN-Habitat in Kabul, Afghanistan October 2010–December 2014. In December 2014, he became Chief of Party until the end of his mission in July 2015.

Sheridan Road is a major north-south street that leads from Diversey Parkway in Chicago, Illinois, north to the Illinois-Wisconsin border and beyond to Racine. Throughout most of its run, it is the easternmost north-south through street, closest to Lake Michigan. From Chicago, it passes through Chicago's wealthy lakeside North Shore suburbs, and then Waukegan and Zion, until it reaches the Illinois-Wisconsin state line in Winthrop Harbor. In Wisconsin, the road leads north through Pleasant Prairie and Kenosha, until it ends on the south side of Racine.

The tale is a story of two brothers, known as Ponnar also known as Periya Annan (elder brother) and Shankar also known as Chinna Annan (younger brother), revered as the Annanmar Swami. Ponnar and Shankar are Kongars ( Ganga Kula Gounder).The story has been recited and passed on as a folk tale through many generations in very rustic traditions as songs which were known as gramiya padalgal (folk songs) and have been enacted as folk entertainment through street theater which were known as Therru Koothu. The Ponnar-Sankar story starts from their grandfathers.

These are the four main hotels that are located on the corner of Casino Center Boulevard and Fremont Street. The four casinos making up the four corners are The Fremont, the Four Queens, the Golden Nugget, and Binion's Gambling Hall and Hotel. Casino Center Boulevard is the only through street that passes under the canopy of the Fremont Street Experience. It passes between the Fremont and the Four Queens located on one side of the boulevard and The Golden Nugget and Binions located on the opposite side of the Boulevard.

The John Boardman House stands in a rural residential area, on the south side of Lawrence Road, a through street connecting Boxford center to the east and North Andover to the west. It is set at a distance from the road on of land, and faces Fish Brook, a tributary of the Ipswich River. It is a 2-1/2 story timber-framed structure, with a side gable roof, central chimney, and clapboarded exterior. It has a four-bay front facade, with the entrance in the center-right bay.

Bond Street is a short residential through street, joining Water Street (Maine State Route 104) with State Street (Maine State Route 27). It is located north of Augusta's downtown area and immediately south of Bond Brook, near its mouth at the Kennebec River. The street is lined with seven 1-1/2 story residential wood frame structures, noted for the similarity of scale, setback from the road, and generally vernacular style. On the north side of the street are two multi-unit buildings, each housing four units, and one single-family house.

Leagues however quickly broke with this left-wing anti- militarism and anti-colonialism. Both Cartels des Gauches (Left Wing Coalition, the first from 1924 to 1926 and the second from 1932 to the 6 February 1934 riots) saw the appearance of many leagues intent on overthrowing them through street demonstrations. Thus, Pierre Taittinger's Jeunesses Patriotes (JP) were founded during the first Cartel, headed by Édouard Herriot, in 1924, as well as Georges Valois's Faisceau (1925) and colonel de la Rocque's Croix-de-Feu, founded a year after Herriot's fall.

The Stephen Grannis House stood on the east side of West Street (Connecticut Route 229), a busy through street in northwestern Southington, between Curtiss and Churchill Streets. It was a 1-1/2 story wood frame structure, with a side gable roof, central chimney, and exterior finished in clapboard-like asbestos siding. Its front facade was five bays wide, with symmetrically placed one-over-one sash windows on either side of a center entrance. The entrance was topped by a patterned rectangular glass transom window, and a flat projecting cap with dentil moulding.

Vijay tries his luck by getting job but instead, he gets beaten by hooligans. Later, Vijay tries his Luck through Salim (Johnny Lever) through Street Gambling & manages to earn money to get Neeta back but instead, Vijay gets jailed. After a while, when Vijay comes out from prison, he gets informed by Salim that Sanga has enslaved Neeta at her Den. To get her back at any cost, Vijay & Salim go to Sanga's club for gambling but in a fight, Sanga's son gets killed accidentally for which Vijay goes on the run from Sanga.

One block north at Bowman Avenue, NM 478 itself splits into two one way streets, with the northbound lanes using Church Street, while the southbound lanes use Water Street. Until recently, Main Street between the two lanes was a pedestrian street, only just recently rebuilt into a through street for traffic. This area is the heart of downtown Las Cruces. Shortly after Water Street and Church Street converge back into Main Street, NM 478 reaches its northern terminus at a signalized intersection with US 70 at Picacho Street.

These services have destinations all over the west and south of the country; services to the north do not pass Newlands Cross. Clondalkin is on the preferred route for the proposed Dublin Metro West line, as of the announcement of the preferred route in 2007. The Metro is intended to provide a transport link from Dublin city centre to Dublin Airport which will not have to go through street traffic. It is proposed that the Metro will have stations near Luas and train stations in some cases, including at Clondalkin train station.

The Bassett House is set on the north side of Prescott Street, a residential through street to the west of Reading's central business district. Facing south, it is a 2-1/2 story wood frame structure, three bays wide, with a front-gable roof and clapboard siding. Its Greek Revival features include corner pilasters and a wide frieze that encircles the house, and a fully pedimented gable, which is not usually found on period houses in Reading. A single-story hip-roofed porch extends across the front facade, supported by Doric columns.

The Abbot House is set on the south side of Essex Street, a through street lined by a mix of commercial and residential buildings, not far from the center of Andover, Massachusetts. The house is a 1-1/2 story wood frame structure, with a steeply-pitched front gable roof and two side-facing cross gables on its main block, and another two on an addition that extends to the rear. The side- facing gables of the main block, along with its main gable, are ornamented with jigsawn bargeboard trim. The main gable has a short lancet-arched window at the attic level.

Before releasing Anachronox, Ion Storm retextured characters and adapted sequences from the game for Shiner, a production by the Undermain Theatre. Scenes from the game were used to illustrate the vivid imagination and struggles of a paralyzed woman named Xela. Anachronox references the films Miller's Crossing and Barton Fink through street addresses on planet Anachronox; Tom Hall had studied acting at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and volunteered as an usher for Undermain. Though received well, the game did not prevent the closure of Ion Storm's Dallas office in July 2001; John Romero and Tom Hall departed after its release.

In 1828, the Governor of New South Wales Sir Ralph Darling subdivided the area, then known as Woolloomooloo Hill, into large allotments which he granted seventeen estates to favoured subordinates and leading businessmen. M.I.A. revealed that none of the people appearing in the video were actors, but "real people" she acquired through street-casting and approaching actual refugee camps in the south of India where Sri Lankan Tamils live. It was released on 27 November 2015, a week after the track premiered online, exclusively on Apple Music. It was her second video which Apple had an exclusivity to, after the double clip "Swords"/"Warriors" released earlier that year. M.I.A. dedicated the video to her uncle Bala, who had saved her family by helping them migrate from Sri Lanka to England.

There is plenty of room for the large shade trees, lawns and landscaping. Vanderbilt Lane, which begins at Route 9 just opposite one of the lesser gates to the Vanderbilt estate, is also narrow, more like a driveway than a through street. There are two properties on the north side of the lane: the superintendent's house, a clapboard-sided one-story five-bay building on the west near Route 9, and a barn complex, partially destroyed by a past fire. On the south are a Federal-style frame herdsman's house, a shingle-sided coach house and a creamery.

Abdul Qayyum Khan was put in charge of destabilising the Congress government in the province through street agitations, ideological rhetoric and acquisition of sympathetic Muslim officers in the government. The presence of a Congress government at the extreme north-west of the Indian subcontinent was anomalous, and the province became a bone of contention between the Congress and the Muslim League as part of the Partition of India. Eventually, the British decided to hold a referendum to determine which dominion the province should go to. Abdul Ghaffar Khan demanded a separate nation of 'Pakhtunistan' comprising both the North-West Frontier Province and Pashtun parts of Afghanistan.

The 71st Street problem was easily solved by placing bollards between the existing cul-de-sac and a new mirror-image cul-de-sac on Riverside South property. Most of the major issues were resolved during the approval process. Jauretche's clash with Alvear's leading faction quickly radicalized him. When Alvear decided in 1934 to abandon the UCR's policy of abstentionism, a significant portion of the left split from the party. "We tell New Yorkers the truth: it's a 'dead end', and we think that motorists get the point quickly." California uses the phrase Not a Through Street or Not a Through Road to mark roads or road systems that end in culs-de-sac.

As of 2017 the organization owned and/or managed around 19,000 affordable housing units that provide homes to nearly 25,000 people each year. In 2009 Affordable Housing Finance magazine ranked Volunteers of America as the top nonprofit in its "Top 50 Affordable Housing Owners," and also ranked the organization in the "Top 50 Affordable Housing Developers" in 2007 and "Top 10 Companies Completing Acquisitions." The magazine also selected a Volunteers of America multifamily community, Lord Tennyson outside San Francisco, as the "best of the best" affordable housing project in the country for 2007. VoA also reaches out to homeless people in many cities through street outreach and mobile outreach services.

He went to India at the time of the Indian rebellion of 1857 (Indian Mutiny). He decided to tour Europe, and after visiting Greece (Olympic Games) and Germany (gambling at Baden-Baden), arrived in Edinburgh, Scotland, where he was converted through street evangelism of "Revivalists" Meek and Mitchell. He preached in the open air and churches in Edinburgh, studied at Henry Grattan Guinness' Harley House missionary training college in London and went to Nigeria and Cameroon as a missionary with the Anglicans, sailing with Bishop Samuel Ajayi Crowther on 20 July 1876. There he worked among Igbo people and visited mission stations at Fernando Po, Old Calabar, and Victoria (Limbe, Cameroon).

East Sheen concentrates its commercial area to the main through street: its long high street has transport/furniture/hardware stores, convenience services, offices, restaurants, cafés and pubs and suburban supermarkets and is also the economic hub for Mortlake of which East Sheen was once a manor. This wide-footpath street is the Upper Richmond Road West which connects Richmond to Putney. Central to this street is The Triangle, a tree- lined traffic island with a war memorial and an old milestone at the intersection of Upper Richmond Road West with Sheen Lane. The main railway station serving the area, Mortlake, is centred 300m north of this.

The Assured Clear Distance Ahead can be subjective to the baseline estimate of a reasonable person or be predetermined by law. For example, whether one should have reasonably foreseen that a road was not assuredly clear past 75–100 meters because of tractors or livestock which commonly emerge from encroaching blinding vegetation is on occasion dependent on societal experience within the locale. In certain urban environments, a straight, traffic-less, through- street may not necessarily be assuredly clear past the entrance of the nearest visually obstructed intersection as law. Within the assured clear distance ahead, there is certainty that travel will be free from obstruction which is exclusive of a failure to appreciate a hazard.

The NF was founded by A. K. Chesterton, formerly of the British Union of Fascists, as a merger between his League of Empire Loyalists and the British National Party. It was soon joined by the Greater Britain Movement, whose leader John Tyndall became the Front's chairman in 1972. Under Tyndall's leadership, it capitalised on growing concern about South Asian migration to Britain, rapidly increasing its membership and vote share in the urban areas of East London and Northern England. On 7 December 2002, the Cowgate fire destroyed a small but dense group of old buildings on the Cowgate and South Bridge. Through street actions and dialogue, Blank Noise hopes to achieve its aims of achieving a safe and free environment for women on the streets, and enable society to become more egalitarian towards women in general. In Dec 2012, following the brutal gang rape of a young woman in a moving bus in Delhi, Blank Noise started the Safe City Pledge, an initiative urging citizens to pledge ways in which they can make cities safer for women. The project has undertaken actions such as spray painting messages, recording the testimonies of victims of sexual harassment in public places, and printing tee shirts with anti- harassment messages on them. It has also staged demonstrations.

North Avenue is a through street in northeastern Weston that dates to colonial days, now connecting Waltham to Maynard. It is roughly paralleled to the south by the Fitchburg Railroad, now primarily used as a commuter rail line by the MBTA, with a stop labelled Kendal Green just south of North Avenue on Church Street. The historic district extends along North Avenue between Hobbs Brook Road in the east to Viles Street in the west, where the Hastings commuter rail station is located. Most of the district's properties line North Avenue, with an extension on Church Street to including the historic station building there, and along Viles Street and Brooks Road to include a small industrial area.

Judith Levine (born 1952) is an American author, journalist, civil libertarian and co-founder of the National Writers Union, a trade union of contract and freelance writers, and No More Nice Girls, a group dedicated to promoting abortion rights through street theater. She is a board member of the National Center for Reason and Justice About us, National Center for Reason and Justice and the Vermont chapter of the ACLU. Levine has written on sex, gender, aging, consumerism, and culture for dozens of national magazines and newspapers, including Harper's, The New York Times, Vogue, AARP The Magazine, and salon.com. Her column "Poli Psy" in the Vermont weekly Seven DaysSearch 7D, Seven Days, was named Best Political Column in 2006 by the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies.

However, after seven years with that publication, he left in order to devote a year to experimentation with different art forms, take some classes in sculpture, and have a chance, as he put it, "to deal with reality after a life of illusion." During this year, he supported himself through street portraits, along with many fellow street artists whose work would collectively be remembered as part of the artistic hey-day of the East Village. The two streets form the north-south and east-west axes of the city's core grid, leaving the large masonry structure visible from all sections of the city. An unusual situation exists on Bay Street in Toronto, where the clock tower of Old City Hall lies at the northern end of the segment south of Queen Street West. The line begins at South Hills Village in Upper St. Clair, and runs north to Washington Junction through Bethel Park, providing a transfer to the Blue Line - Library, which runs via Overbrook. The Red Line continues north through Castle Shannon and Mount Lebanon, then through the Mount Lebanon Rail Tunnel underneath Washington Rd./West Liberty Ave (aka Truck U.S. Route 19) into Dormont at the other end. The first station coming out of the tunnel northbound is Dormont Junction, then line proceeds through this suburb, crossing many streets via grade crossings. The line then arrives at Potomac, where it begins travelling through street trackage about a quarter mile down the tracks, crossing into the neighborhood of Beechview in the city of Pittsburgh near the Neeld Avenue stop.

Camborne, New Zealand is a hilltop and seaside suburb of Porirua City developed over a 35-year period from the 1960s, initially by an investment company headed by a Mr Arthur Cornish. It was named after Camborne, Cornwall, and most of its street names are of Cornish origin, but its main through street is "Pope Street", named after William George Pope (known as Bob) who was an honoured former resident of the immediately adjoining suburb of Plimmerton. Much of it is within 5 minutes' walk of the Porirua Harbour, and most houses on the higher parts have views of the harbour and/or the green inland hills and/or the open sea and Mana Island. Camborne is unusual among suburbs in New Zealand, in that it does not have any shops.

The over-provision of poorly used permeability is a crime hazard. It also re-established that simple, linear cul-de-sac streets with good numbers of dwellings that are joined to through streets tend to be safe.

On December 2013, SM Entertainment introduced the first trainees from the pre-debut training team SM Rookies, including Taeyong and Jeno. The team went on to introduce a total of sixteen other members until early January 2016, eventually becoming the preparation for NCT. As I-390 heads north through the southern extents of the county, the surroundings become more residential and commercial in nature. The freeway meets NY 15 and NY 251 in Rush ahead of an interchange with both the New York State Thruway (I-90) and NY 253 in southern Henrietta. Past the Thruway, the transition from the rural landscapes of the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes to residential and commercial areas is completed as I-390 continues into the suburbs of Rochester and the commercial center of Henrietta. Roughly from NY 253, I-390 has an exit leading to Hylan Drive, a through street leading to The Marketplace Mall. Farther north, I-390 meets both NY 15A and NY 252 in equally commercialized areas before entering Brighton. Northbound on I-390 in southern Henrietta.

The A361 is a major road in England and at is the longest 3 digit A road in the UK. It runs south from Ilfracombe on the north Devon coast to Barnstaple, turning south-east to Tiverton then, after a break (the M5 connects the two sections), north east from Taunton in Somerset through Street and Glastonbury, along the bottom of the Mendip Hills through Shepton Mallet, past Frome and then into Wiltshire through Trowbridge, Devizes, Avebury and Swindon. It then runs through the eastern Cotswolds, via Lechlade, Burford and Chipping Norton and on through Banbury and Daventry before terminating at its junction with the A5 road at the village of Kilsby on the Northamptonshire-Warwickshire border near Rugby. Despite its length, most of the road is non-primary and relatively unimportant.

The figure ground plan organizes the primary urban landscape components - plots, streets, constructed spaces, and open spaces – into a diagram of solid and void; the proportions, of which, can be manipulated to create different urban morphologies. If building mass (solid poche) is greater than open space (void), spatial continuity is achieved through street walls and articulated public spaces, creating a mixed-use urban environment that fosters pedestrian activity. If open space is greater than building mass, buildings become disconnected, and voids lack spatial definition, often becoming surface parking The morphology of the modern city has undergone considerable changes during the past century as manipulations of the figure ground have revealed new fabric types. Hend Kheera's feature on the Rolling Stone magazine allowed her work to receive recognition, as she is the first female graffiti artist to be featured on the Rolling Stone. Another local Egyptian artist, Mira Shihadeh and Kheera have contributed to the sexual harassment movement in Egypt through street art. In her Rolling stones, article that featured Kheera she was quoted as saying, " a wall is more powerful than a media channel, for example, because you can't ignore it." Through her art, she has participated in anti-sexual harassment campaigns, and one of her most well-known pieces is based on the trial of Samira Ibrahim, who took the government to court in August last year as a result of her strip- search by a military doctor after she and several other women were detained at a protest in Tahrir Square, then videotaped while the doctor violated them.

Bill Hillier, Ozlem Sahbaz March 2008 Bartlett School of Graduate StudiesUniversity College London did extensive spatial analysis and correlated several building, site plan and social factors with crime frequencies and identified subtle nuances to the contrasting positions. The study looked at, among others, a) dwelling types, b) unit density (site density) c) movement on the street, d) culs-de-sac or grids, and e) the permeability of a residential area. Among its conclusions are, respectively, that a) flats are always safer than houses and the wealth of inhabitants matters, b) density is generally beneficial but more so at ground level, c) local movement is beneficial but larger scale movement not so, d) relative affluence and the number of neighbours has a greater effect than either being on a cul-de-sac or being on a through street.

Other local efforts concentrated on other houses later on, and they were eventually recognized with the NHL designations of the individual buildings in the early 1960s. The city created the district by ordinance in 1965, and it was recognized as an NHL itself in 1968. and The loss of the naval fleet in 1971 was a serious blow to the economy, and eventually the city controversially authorized the removal of many old factories, warehouses, and historic structures along the water, just west of the district boundary for the construction of retail facilities such as Brick Market Place and Long Wharf Mall, hotels, condominiums and America's Cup Avenue, a multilane through street whose name reflected the sloop races that then drew crowds to the city every few years. The Colony House, used in the filming of Amistad In the mid-1980s, the America's Cup was finally lost to an Australian team, and left the city.
