In 1975, at the request of producer Eric Dare, Livermore conceived his first one- man show, Betty Blokk-buster Follies, which played to record crowds in Sydney, Canberra, Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne. He then wrote and performed a string of successful one-man shows – Wonder Woman, Sacred Cow, Son of Betty and Firing Squad. In December 1977, Livermore's musical Ned Kelly written with composer Patrick Flynn opened in Adelaide, produced by the Adelaide Festival Centre Trust. Livermore wrote, directed and designed the show but did not perform in it.

Daniel 'Danny' Hanson, played by Michael Rapaport (Seasons 2-4), was some kind of humanities teacher who was introduced at the beginning of Season 2. He came from a working-class Irish- Catholic home, and had a populist political philosophy and a certain ambivalence about religion, declaring he didn't believe in God during the fourth season. This was due to him being sexually molested by his priest, Father Bill Egan, when he was a child. Danny also had a conservative side when it came to race, and didn't like the "sacred cow" status some racial issues were given.

Sindhu’s debut novel ‘‘Kaleidoscopic Reflections’’ was longlisted for the Crossword Book Award in 2011. The novel tells the tale of an inter-caste Tamil family, spanning five generations, and how their destiny is inextricably linked to the fate India - the land of contradictions. In her second book, So I Let It Be, the themes of love, loss of individuality, sexuality, and an overwhelmingly poignant and profound sense of saudade are explored. Stories from this collection have previously been featured in literary magazines. ‘‘The Sacred Cow’’ appeared in the internationally acclaimed Asia Literary Review. ‘‘The Routine’’ was published in Elsewhere Lit.

According to critic Des O'Driscoll, Donnelly "helped unleash the quirky originality that became a feature of the Cork music scene". Mick Lynch of Stump agreed, saying that "he gave the rest of us permission to be loopy". Morty McCarthy of The Sultans Of Ping also agreed, saying in 2020 that the band are "the sacred cow of Cork music; they’re almost the untouchable band. Halley has written on a wide variety of issues, but is widely known for her criticism of left legalism, radical dominance feminist thought and cultural feminism. She argues that left legal identitarian projects, such as feminist ones, have "bestowed sacred cow status" on certain reforms and deployed "identity-based claims in the form of rights, supposedly trumping all competing normative claims". Such legal projects, according to her, include, among others, affirmative action, sexual harassment and racial justice legal reforms. In 1942, a modified B-24 Liberator (designated C-87A) was prepared for the use of President Roosevelt, however it was never used by him. The First Lady, Eleanor Roosevelt, however used the aircraft extensively in her travels around the United States and overseas to visit servicemen overseas. After experiencing difficulties with the C-87, the USAAF arranged with Douglas Aircraft to construct a new transport aircraft specifically for presidential use. Nicknamed the "Sacred Cow", this modified C-54 Skymaster (VC-54C), which included a vertical lift in the lower fuselage for the President and his wheelchair, became the first military aircraft to transport a U.S. president when President Roosevelt took it to the Soviet Union for the Yalta Conference in February 1945.
