Since 2008, Koyamada has been assisting homeless people in Los Angeles through KIF's program in providing foods and drinks. In response to the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, Koyamada raised substantial funds through fundraising efforts in California and donated them all to three affected Prefectures of Japan through KIF to aid the victims. Pelle Linders (born September 21, 1975 in Onsala, Sweden) is a Swedish handball player, currently playing for Danish Handball League side FCK Håndbold, with whom he won the Danish Championship in 2008. The Decapodian army easily defeats Earth's defense forces and Earth is enslaved by the crustacean extraterrestrials. Later, Fry, Leela, Bender, Zapp Brannigan, and Kif, deciding the time has come to fight back, steal a heat-seeking missile from a museum exhibit and launch it toward the Decopodians’ newly constructed Mobile Oppression Palace. However, the palace is "cold-blooded", like the Decapodians themselves, and the palace continues its destructive rampage. It eventually crushes Old Man Waterfall for standing in its way, whom Zoidberg respected for defending him when no one else would.

The series is set in the same Alliance-Union universe of Downbelow Station, but in a region of space in the opposite direction from Earth as the Alliance and Union. It is occupied by a number of spacefaring civilizations bound by a set of trade treaties into a so-called Compact. The Compact is not a political organization, and has no government; it deals only with open trade, leaving the component civilizations to resolve conflicts between themselves. Human space borders kif and knnn territory, the most aggressive and enigmatic species of the Compact respectively.

Everyone else on the ship is also sucked towards the hole, but they hang on to each other's hands until the moon from the Holoshed plugs the hole.

Bo Robin Eriksson (born 5 January 1991) is a Swedish footballer who plays as a forward. Eriksson played for Kärra KIF as a youngster, then moved to the Netherlands as a 16-year-old to join Eredivisie club Heerenveen. Named player of the season in the 2009–10 Eredivisie under-19 league, his career was put on hold when he suffered a broken neck in a car crash. After a lengthy rehabilitation, he returned to Heerenveen's reserves, and spent time on loan at BK Häcken, with whom he played in the 2011 Allsvenskan.

Though born in the United States, his family moved to Germany when he was 8 years old and remained until he was 19. He returned to the US to study at Hampshire College and later the prestigious New England Conservatory.

Kullervo was founded on February 7, 1919, after members who participated in Finnish Civil War as a red guards were expelled from Hermannin Kiista. Formed in 2003 from the ashes of Ged Lynn's post Stairs band "The Living Brain", which along with singer Lars Gabel also featured James Pagella and Tom Sumnall. Based at Liverpool rehearsal space The Kif, the band's lineup has changed considerably over the years from a twin drum-twin brass, bass and percussion ensemble, to the current line up featuring bass, drums, brass, and electronics/synths. The band also at one time featured Super Numeri founder and Ladytron bassist Pop Levi, and his future rhythm guitarist Dominic Lewington. Zukanican are noted for their improvised live performances and have been compared to, amongst other acts, Sun Ra, Soft Machine and Can, and have also acted as Damo Suzuki's sound carriers on several occasions.

Leela uses it to swim with a whale; Fry uses the money to buy and drink one hundred cups of coffee over the course of the episode, and Bender spends his on burglary tools to steal a $10,000 cigar. Bender refuses to smoke it until the exhibition. Others find their expenditures less thrilling: Professor Farnsworth uses the money to buy stem cells to give him a youthful appearance but discovers they only last temporarily, while Hermes buys a set of mechanical stilts for his son Dwight that inadvertently go haywire and drag the two off, rampaging through New New York. Kif buys a watch for his girlfriend Amy but accidentally loses it to the same whale that Leela was swimming with, though he eventually recovers it after a brief accusation of ambergris theft.

To promote mutual understanding and respect, KIF's national chapters have mobilized the series of grassroots cross-cultural networking events in partnerships with a number of different government agencies, embassies and consulates, and local nonprofit organizations in different countries. In 2013 and 2014, Hollywood celebrities Dylan Sprouse and Cole Sprouse from Disney Channel's Suite Life traveled to Japan for the first time ever for a KIF's new program United States-Japan Discovery Tour to exchange dialogue with thousands of Japanese youth on the importance of pursuing a higher education and interact with them on cross-cultural activities for two weeks. During the tour, the activities were shared to millions of followers and supporters on social media. To strengthen citizen diplomacy and people-to-people activities, KIF and Sister Cities International (SCI) have partnered up to develop new bilateral summits in the United States and other countries in January 2019.

The breed is of an early Mastiff type with a solid pale tan or sabled coat, and a black mask. According to official Kangal Shepherd Dog organisations in Turkey, including the Cynology Federation of Turkey (Köpek Irkları ve Kinoloji Federasyonu, KIF) and the Ankara Kangal Association (Ankara Kangal Derneği, ANKADER), Kangals may also be brindle or feature a recessive black tan pattern; with or without a black mask; and/or with white markings. While the Kangal Shepherd Dog is often referred to as a sheep dog, it is not a herding dog, but rather a flock guardian that lives with the flock of sheep to actively fend off predators of all sizes. Typically used as protection against wolves, bears, and jackals in its native Turkey, the breed has been exported to African countries like Namibia and Kenya in more recent years due to its intimidating size and capabilities as an effective guardian, where it successfully protects local herds from lions, cheetahs, and similar indigenous big cats, which has had the benefit of not only protecting livestock, but ensuring the continuity of endangered predators due to reduced cullings by local farmers.
