In the mid-1960s KEF introduced the bextrene-coned B110 bass/midrange unit and the melinex-domed T27 tweeter which were later used in the diminutive BBC-designed LS3/5A broadcast monitor, of which over 50,000 pairs were sold worldwide and whose initial specification was for use in cramped broadcast vans. The close co-operation between KEF and the BBC Research department was fruitful for both, as BBC provided stringent performance and production standards with ample capacity for field testing, with KEF being a pioneer in the use of polymers and computerised quality control.

They were able to answer a request for a prototype in under a week because it resembled an experimental loudspeaker that the department had already developed for some preliminary acoustic scaling tests. The speaker had to be voiced by ear an octave at a time, because scale test results were inapplicable to a model of this size. Engineers took measurements; comparisons were performed against the LS5/8 – a large "Grade I monitor" already in use at the time – and with live sources. Despite the term's widespread use, the etymology or definition of the word "rabiz" is not clearly understood. According to some sources it stems from the Russian phrase "работники искусства" (rabotniki iskusstva) used during Soviet times, meaning "Art Workers", in reference to unions which specialized in new music composition. Others believe that the word has Turkish or Arabic roots, since the word "rab" means creator or god, while the Arabic name "aziz", which is used by many Armenians as meaning "darling" could perhaps be considered another root, thus referring to the genre performers as dear creators. A subgenre of rabiz music, called "kef" (unrelated to the homonymous Armenian- American kef music), concerns romantic love and partying, but also love of family or patriotism, similarly to Russian chanson or blatnyak.

Its stone ruins cover an area of fifteen hectares, hemmed in by the foothills of Kef Rih-west Hills and bounded on one side by a deep wadi ravine. A necropolis was also situated to the west. Jebel Sudan Mountain is part of the Wurga mountain range, located northwest of the Republic of Tunisia in the state of Kef. The Mountain is located at Coordinates 36°16'N 8°23'E in the northwest of the Republic of Tunisia, north of the town of Saqiet Sidi Youssef. It is only 1,500 meters away from the border with Algeria. The height of the summit is 980m.

235 During his studies at the Al- Zaytuna Mosque Ghileb became interested in politics. In 1864 he became an aide to Muhammad III as-Sadiq until he headed to City Council in Tunis as vice president in 1877. Between 1886 and 1902 he became the Governor of El Kef, of Soliman, Bizerte and Nabeul. He succeeded Mohamed Asfouri as the mayor of Tunis until his death in 1912.

Kef Toghobeit is just one of over a thousand caves in a 30,000 square kilometre area of Karst formation in Morocco. The cave formed in the Rif mountain range, which is primarily formed of relatively soft minerals such as dolomite and limestone. Winter snowfall and rainfall add up to an annual precipitation rate of 600 to 1000 mm. The heavy precipitation quickly erodes the soft minerals, creating deep caves where the water wore away at the stone.

There are many caves, the most important step is the cave of El Kef Biadh whose access is via a series of wells or galleries, most of which come from mining. The first large room of m long and 267 metres deep shelters concretions and huge boulders; its walls are covered with bushes of Eccentric. The hall ends with a diaclases which opens on a well. It measures about 150 metres long and 50 metres wide.

Sidi Lamine (Moroccan Arabic: ) is a commune on the western side of Khénifra Province in the Béni Mellal-Khénifra administrative region of Morocco. At the time of the 2004 census, the commune had a total population of 16,340 people living in 3134 households. Sidi Lamine is located along National Road 710 between the town of Khenifra and the town of Boujad (Bejaâd) in Khouribga Province. The commune contains two semi-urban centers, Kehf Nsour (Kef El Nsour) and Sidi Bouabad.

Altiparmakian has a unique musical style and rhythm that has earned him a respected reputation. His song "Hey Valla" originally released on the album "Armenian Love Songs" became a standard in the repertoire of Armenian-American kef bands (dance bands which play for weddings and other ethnic functions). "Urti" is a word in the Amazigh language which means "orchard" in English. "Wurtan" or "Ouertan" is the plural form of the word with a definite article and means "the orchards" in the Amazigh language and is at the same time the name of the tribe. The historical evidence is that orchards are abundant in the town of Sra Ouertan south of the town of Kef. The Berber tribe Ouertan had considerable influence in the pre-Islamic era and lived together with the Romans.

This 2-way, 4-ohm, design was a physically much smaller product - measuring - that required tall speaker stands. Launched in 1978, it was Linn's entry-level loudspeaker until the Kan (a non-isobaric bookshelf speaker using the same Linn D20-LP-1 and KEF B110 drive units as its big brother) was released. The Kan was discontinued in 1990.

The headmaster permitted him to restart his sixth and final year of high school, in 1919–20. But the winter season and aforementioned malnutrition severely worsened his health, and he was hospitalized following his primary infection. Draprerie Stalactite The cave Nefza is an extension of the mine Ghanguet Kef at Jebel El Damous which peaked at about 202 metres. The latter is formed by land dating from the Cretaceous, the Eocene, and the Oligocene. At these sites are deposits of zinc and lead. The cavity, with a total length of 310 metres and a height of 60 metres, contains a tectonic accident: its cross section shows a general shape of a triangle with a straight wall western wall and a shaped Eastern staircase reversed.

Bab Souika (initially known as Bab El Saqqayin) had a strategic role to keep the roads to Bizerte, Béja and Le Kef. Bab Menara (initially known as Bab El Artha) opened onto the medina and on the suburb of El Haoua. As for El Bab Bhar, it allowed access to some funduqs where Christian merchants lived in Tunis. With the development of the capital under the reign of the Hafsids, two emerging suburbs grew outside the walls; Bab El Jazira in the south and Bab Souika to the north.

On 23 August 1871, they were authorized to build a railway line between Tunis and Le Bardo, the future TGM. The contract even granted the authorization to operate for 99 years the land crossed by the line, inaugurated on August 2, 1872. CTN expanded its fleet by buying the bulk carriers Moularès and S’hib in 1976–77 and El-Kef in 1982. Moving to roll-on/roll-off service, CTN turned to the renewal of its fleet, taking delivery of El-Jem and Tozeur in 1977, and of Bizerte and Kairouan in 1979.

Kalaa Djerda Airfield is an abandoned military airfield in Tunisia approximately south-southwest of El Kef and southwest of Tunis. The airfield was built prior to World War II by the French Air Force Armée de l'Air. In 1939, GB I/19 and II/19 "Gascogne" of Snisian FA South stationed Bloch MB.210 bombers at the airfield. After the Battle of France in 1940, the Vichy French Air Force (Armée de l'Air de Vichy) continued to use the airfield until its abolition in November 1942 after the Operation Torch Landings in French North Africa and the German takeover of Tunisia afterward.

Though the summer camp only runs for seven weeks, Galil remains active year-round! During the rest of the year, Eizor Galil represents all the Habonim Dror members from the Philadelphia area. Different age groups are split into kenim (literally "nests"), and have various kef (fun) activities run for them by their year-round counselors, such as movies, bowling, haunted hay rides, fondue parties, and ice skating as well as chinuch (educational) activities which expand on the different curricular themes of the previous summer. Also during the year are about five annual events which all the kenim participate in together.

In 1979, Linn Products created the Kan – a non-BBC specification bookshelf speaker that used a LS3/5A-sized cabinet and the same B110 driver from KEF. Linn acquired a hundred pairs of cabinets from the supplier of the bankrupt Chartwell, and used them for the very first Kans. The Kan, however, used a Scanspeak D2008 tweeter, subsequently followed by a re-badged OEM D20-LP-1 tweeter from Hiquphon in May 1984. Linn installed a very simple crossover into the box that transformed it into "one of the fastest and most involving wall mount miniatures ever", according to Martin Colloms.

Beni Snous is a Berber variety close to Zenati languages spoken near Tlemcen in Algeria. In the early 20th century, Beni Snous Berber was spoken in the villages of Kef, Tghalimet, Bou Hallou, Ait Larbi, Ait Achir, Adziddaz, and Mazzer; all speakers were bilingual in the Arabic language. The Beni Snous had no trouble conversing with their Berber-speaking neighbours among the Beni Bou Said just to the west, and (with some difficulty) could communicate in Berber with people from Figuig, Beni Iznacen, beside the border in Morocco. However, they found Tashelhiyt (in southern Morocco) and Kabyle (in central Algeria) almost unintelligible.

Modern Tunisia The transportation system was developed by the construction of railroads and highways, as well as sea ports. Already by 1884 the Compagnie du Bône-Guelma had built a rail line running from Tunis west 1,600 km to Algiers, passing through the fertile Medjerda river valley near Beja and over the high tell. Eventually rail lines were built all along the coast from the northwest at Tabarka to Bizerte, to Tunis and Sousse, to Sfax and Gabès; inland routes went from the coastal ports to Gafsa, to Kasserine, and to El Kef. Highways were also constructed.

At the age of twenty, in 1944, he joined the French Forces of the Interior FFI and participated to the liberation. Ebba Ksour Airfield is an abandoned World War II military airfield in Tunisia, located near El Ksour, in Kef province, approximately 150 km South-West of Tunis. The airfield was built as a temporary wartime field by Army Engineers, using Pierced Steel Planking (PSP) for runways and parking and dispersal areas, and support structures being quickly constructed out of wood or tents. It was used briefly by the United States Army Air Forces Twelfth Air Force 33d Fighter Group between 12 April and 9 June 1943 during the North African Campaign flying P-40 Warhawks. After the 33d moved east to Menzel Temime, the airfield was dismantled by engineers.

Until then, ERTT managed all public television stations (Télévision Tunisienne 1 as well as Télévision Tunisienne 2 which had replaced the defunct RTT 2) and four national radio stations (Radio Tunis, Tunisia Radio Culture, Youth and Radio RTCI) and five regional Sfax, Monastir, Gafsa, Le Kef and Tataouine. Most programs are in Arabic but some are in French.

Ibrahim Sharif became very unpopular among the Turks on account of his massacre of the Muradid family and especially because of his accumulation of power. The weakness of his authority attracted the attention of the Dey of Algiers, who was keen for revenge, and the Tripolitanias who desired the island of Djerba which had been seized from them fifty years earlier. Ibrahim Sharif successfully combatted the Bey of Tripoli in the south of the country, but was defeated by the Dey of Algiers near Kef on 10 July 1705.

The Resident-General yielded, days later, ordering the burial of French Muslims in specially-designated cemeteries.

The Roland Juno-60, a favourite keyboard of Enya's that she used on Watermark. In 1989, she said: "We wouldn't part with it for anything in the world". With the green-light to make a new album, Enya recorded Watermark from June 1987 to April 1988. Placed under house arrest, he was arrested for "answering serious suspicions that weighed on him" fifteen days after his dismissal and imprisoned in Mornaguia prison [1]. Without legal proceedings, some of his legally acquired property is confiscated and his wife is deprived of her retirement pension. On June 13, 2012, he obtained a dismissal by the military court of Kef for his role in the crackdown of January 2011 in Thala and Kasserine. On July 19, the military court of Tunis sentenced him to fifteen years in prison in the largest trial of the martyrs and wounded of the revolution, those of greater Tunis and five other governorates, sentence brought back on appeal to three years of prison on April 12, 2014.

73-75 Major General Harmon had been in Thala on the Algerian border, witnessing the stubborn resistance of the British Nickforce, which held the vital road leading into the Kasserine Pass against the heavy pressure of the German 10th Panzer Division, which was under Rommel's direct command. Commanding the British Nickforce was Brigadier Cameron Nicholson, an effective combat leader who kept his remaining forces steady under relentless German hammering. When the U.S. 9th Infantry Division's attached artillery arrived in Thala after a four-day, 800-mile march, it seemed like a godsend to Harmon. Inexplicably, the 9th was ordered by Anderson to abandon Thala to the enemy and head for the village of Le Kef, 50 miles away, to defend against an expected German attack.

The techniques employed ensure that energy that would have caused the unwanted motion of the front panel and drivers is cancelled by a similar but opposite energy from the upward facing units, resulting in the minimum amount of resonances. The cabinets were initially made by Linn in their own factory, but the manufacturing was later outsourced to furniture-makers Leon Levin of Glasgow. Although the speaker uses bought-in drivers, they have been rebuilt using stronger materials. Drivers' metal baskets are treated to reduce the effects of vibration, and the enclosure designed and constructed to control energy. The drive units (T27, B110 and B139) were sourced from KEF in kit form, and two KEFKIT3 kits were judiciously used for each cabinet.

French repression in the Guelma region differed from that in Sétif in that while only 12 pied-noirs had been killed in the countryside, attacks on civilians lasted until 26 June. The Constantine préfet, Lestrade-Carbonnel had supported the creation of European settler militias, while the Guelma sous- préfet, André Achiari, created an informal justice system (Comité de Salut Public) designed to encourage the violence of the settler vigilantism against unarmed civilians, and to facilitate the identification and murder of nationalist activists. He also instructed police and army intelligence agencies to assist the settler militias. Muslim victims killed in both urban and rural areas were buried in mass graves in places like Kef-el-Boumba, but the corpses were later dug up and burned in Héliopolis.

Armenian folk musicians Descendants of survivors of the Armenian Genocide, originally from Western Armenia, and Armenian emigrants from other parts of the Middle East have settled in various countries, especially in the California Central Valley. The second- and third-generation artists, such as Richard Hagopian, an oud-player associated with the kef tradition of Armenian-American music have kept their folk traditions alive. This dance-oriented style of Armenian music, using Armenian and Middle Eastern folk instruments (often electrified/amplified) and some Western instruments, preserved the folk songs and dances of Western Armenia. Many artists also played the contemporary popular songs of cosmopolitan Turkey and other Middle Eastern countries from which the Armenians emigrated (termed surjaran or café aman, meaning cafeteria), on the Eight Avenue of Manhattan, New York City.

After the Mejba Revolt, the palace was offered by Muhammad III as-Sadiq to Salah Ben Mohamed, a kahia and tribal leader who was promoted later to bach hamba (captain of the mounted police) and a lieutenant governor of El Kef for his loyalty and good services during the civil war. Salah Ben Mohamed transformed the palace into a habous. In 1872, Hammuda Chahed, a rich noble and one of the biggest chaouachia corporation chiefs, bought it but kept its previous legal status as a habous. In 1957, Dar Hammouda Pacha lost its status as a habous due to a new law, which made it possible to the touristic development society of Tunisia, and affiliate of the Poulina group to buy the palace and convert it into a prestigious restaurant called Dar Hammouda Pacha.

On 20 February 1982, Pope John Paul II appointed Romaniuk as auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Warsaw and the titular bishop of El Kef. He was ordained as a bishop on 4 March 1982 in St. John's Archcathedral in Warsaw.. He was consecrated by Archbishop Józef Glemp, accompanied by Cardinal Franciszek Macharski and Bishop . He adopted the episcopal motto "In Te Confido".. From 1982 to 1992, he held the office of vicar of the archdiocese. In the metropolitan curia, he served as chairman of the Department of General Administration and Financial Affairs. On 25 March 1992, as a result of the reorganization of the administrative divisions in the Church of Poland, Pope John Paul II moved Romaniuk's offices of diocesan bishop to the newly created Diocese of Warsaw-Praga.

It is famous for its palm trees and its generosity as it is known for raising livestock due to its pastoral and steppe character. On the tourist side, the district of Kef El Melh (the mountain of salt) in the municipality of Tadjrouna is near the border with El Bayadh Province the most important tourist area in the state and there is the largest tourist headquarters for the state in the Kordan Palace or crown angle. There are also tourist areas and natural sights such as Al-Ghaisheh, Taouila, Lalmaya, Ein Sefsifah, Al- Huwaita and Madana. The Talemzane crater, with its nozzle resulting from the fall of the meteorite in ancient times, is the fourth age and the second largest in size in the world after which there is Arizona and is found in the municipality of Hassi Delaa to the south.

Anatolian and kef music were a source of controversy due to the shared Ottoman past they represented in the post-genocide era. A combination of factors in Lebanon, including political independence and the strength of various Armenian institutions, created conditions that were permissive of the rise of an Armenian nationalism that was similar to the Turkish nationalism that emerged in the Ottoman Empire in the years leading up to the 1915 genocide. Music in the Lebanese diaspora became another means to separate "us" and "them", but also provided a space where Lebanese Armenians could connect with a concept of "home" in place of the Ottoman past and Soviet present. Community choirs that formed in Lebanon during the 1930s, led by former students of Komitas, utilized the imagery of Komitas as the saint and martyr of Armenian music.

As Rey confronts Kylo Ren, Chewbacca, who has the dagger, is captured by the Knights of Ren and taken aboard a transport to the Resurgent-class Star Destroyer Steadfast. Believing him to be on a different transport, Rey and Ren both use the Force to pull it down, with Rey accidentally using Force lightning to destroy the ship; Rey is deeply shaken when she believes she has killed Chewbacca, and his "death" motivates the others to continue the mission in his memory. Chewbacca is in reality taken to the command ship, where he is questioned about his friends' whereabouts; Rey senses his presence when the ship arrives on Kijimi, and Finn and Poe stow aboard the ship to rescue him. Later on, after Rey abandons them on Kef-Bir, they return to the Resistance base, where Chewbacca is distraught to learn of Leia's death.

Stele 451 at Bouchegouf has with two parallel inscriptions, one in Libyan, the other in Punic. On the 1st of August 2011 Germany broadcast digital radio services on a DAB+ nationwide multiplex. Fourteen new stations from a football programme, to rock, pop, classical, talk and Christian radio can now be heard across Germany and with the national multiplex being shared between both public and private broadcasters it is expected that the new stations on air will increase in number in the very near future. The German Digital Radio project office (Deutschland Digital Radio) was created to co- ordinate the efforts of all stakeholders on the national multiplex, the public broadcasters (ARD) and Deutschland Radio. The network operator, Media Broadcast, has 27 transmitters on-air in the first stage covering all major cities and autobahns, and plans for coverage of up to 99% in some areas are due by 2014. Germany’s public service financing committee, the KEF provided funding to facilitate the roll out of national DAB+ digital radio in Germany.

Narration Éditions, Marseille, 1995, That year, some of the French delegates began protesting against the fact that a third of the seats in their section of the conference were reserved for farmers, although they were a declining proportion of the French population. Four of them resigned in November over this issue and, at the last session in December, twenty more of their colleagues (out of 45) walked out of the session because they felt the real powers of the assembly were "non-existent." At the same time, the issue for the Tunisian delegates was the lack of any elections. At their last session in 1920, seven of the sixteen delegates, from Tunis, Sousse, Bizerte and Le Kef) made a statement decrying the fact that they had been appointed to their positions as long ago as 1907, calling for their terms of office to be ended, and for the replacements to be directly elected.
