From the mid-1960s, KEF manufactured BBC-designed monitor loudspeakers such as the LS5/1A for the Corporation and for wider distribution. Cooke's previous relationship with the BBC in the 1950s continued as KEF developed through the 1960s and 70s. In the mid-1960s KEF introduced the bextrene-coned B110 bass/midrange unit and the melinex-domed T27 tweeter which were later used in the diminutive BBC-designed LS3/5A broadcast monitor, of which over 50,000 pairs were sold worldwide and whose initial specification was for use in cramped broadcast vans. The close co-operation between KEF and the BBC Research department was fruitful for both, as BBC provided stringent performance and production standards with ample capacity for field testing, with KEF being a pioneer in the use of polymers and computerised quality control.
KEF specially redesigned the B110, creating the B110 SP1228 where the surround changed from neoprene to a vinyl compound. KEF also designed a new crossover, designated SP2128. Working with drivers from SEAS and Scanspeak, Derek Hughes developed for Stirling a new crossover that enabled the new proprietary drivers to mimic the response of the original KEF drivers they replaced. Specifically, the T27 was replaced by a 19mm doped fabric dome tweeter.
Falcon Acoustics was granted a licence by the BBC for the 15 ohm version of the LS3/5a in 2013 and commenced production in 2014 using drive units produced in-house by Falcon Acoustics. Others believe that the word has Turkish or Arabic roots, since the word "rab" means creator or god, while the Arabic name "aziz", which is used by many Armenians as meaning "darling" could perhaps be considered another root, thus referring to the genre performers as dear creators. A subgenre of rabiz music, called "kef" (unrelated to the homonymous Armenian- American kef music), concerns romantic love and partying, but also love of family or patriotism, similarly to Russian chanson or blatnyak.

In 1724 he obtained the title of pasha from the Ottoman sultan. Two years later, Husayn replaced him as heir with his son Muhammad; Ali therefore revolted, and, with the help of the dey of Algiers, defeated Husayn in 1735.

Kef Toghobeit is just one of over a thousand caves in a 30,000 square kilometre area of Karst formation in Morocco. The cave formed in the Rif mountain range, which is primarily formed of relatively soft minerals such as dolomite and limestone. Winter snowfall and rainfall add up to an annual precipitation rate of 600 to 1000 mm. The heavy precipitation quickly erodes the soft minerals, creating deep caves where the water wore away at the stone.
Maktar in the Atlas archéologique de la Tunisie Plan of Maktar In the 3rd century BC the Numidians built a strategic fortress at the site, chosen to control trade routes between Sbeitla, Kairouan, and El Kef. The establishment grew rapidly, and under Masinissa developed into a major center of Numidia. After the fall of Carthage in 146, many Punic refugees flocked to Maktar, bringing their culture and skills. Buildings, civic organization, and language were strongly influenced by the Carthaginians.

The invasion of the regency by French troops from Algeria had always been considered by Roustan. To this end, he bribed the Tunis consul in Annaba, Joseph Allegro, who informed him about everything that was happening in the border region to the point of boasting that he could annex this part of the country as soon as he was asked.Camille Mifort,op. cit., A whole spy network was also set up by , the consular agent at Le Kef.
He promptly abolished the title and powers of the Dey. Although he had accumulated all the offices at the head of the Tunisian beylik, he did not manage to put an end to the revolts and agitation begun after the death of the last Muradids. After he was defeated by the Dey of Algiers near Kef on 8 July 1705,Azzedine Guellouz, Abdelkader Masmoudi et Mongi Smida, Histoire générale de la Tunisie, tome III « Les Temps Modernes. 941-1247 H./1534-1881 », éd.

80 At 13:30 on the 19 February Rommel received the Comando Supremos agreement to a revised plan. He was to have 10th and 21st Panzer Divisions transferred from Arnim's 5th Panzer Army to his command and attack through the Kasserine and Sbiba passes toward Thala and Le Kef to the north, clearing the Western Dorsale and threatening the 1st Army's flank.Watson (2007), pp. 80–81 Rommel was appalled; the plan dispersed Axis forces and, through the passes, would expose their flanks.
Bourguiba rehearsed with his brother, who had a passion for theater and performed on stage. The foundation of the Destour party while he was in Kef, increased Bourguiba's interest in Tunisian nationalism. He expressed his will to pursue his secondary studies and thus, study law in France, so he could struggle against the colonial power. The family council that was held to discuss this matter was a complete failure, his brothers considering him as "unsuccessful" and were not ready to finance his studies.
Jendouba ( ; from Berber jen "market" + douba "wheat") Formerly known as Souk El Arba until 30 April 1966) is a city in north-western Tunisia, and capital of the Jendouba Governorate. It is an important crossroads with many road links to other towns such as El Kef, Tabarka, Ain Draham and Béja. The main economic activity is agriculture. Altiparmakian has a unique musical style and rhythm that has earned him a respected reputation. His song "Hey Valla" originally released on the album "Armenian Love Songs" became a standard in the repertoire of Armenian-American kef bands (dance bands which play for weddings and other ethnic functions). It was covered on recordings by Richie Berberian with Mal Barsamian, John Bilezikjian, Robert Takoushian, Robert Chilingirian, Ara Topouzian, and Mike Gostanian among others. His song "Lucy" was covered by Adiss Harmandian without however, giving Roupen songwriting credit.
"Urti" is a word in the Amazigh language which means "orchard" in English. "Wurtan" or "Ouertan" is the plural form of the word with a definite article and means "the orchards" in the Amazigh language and is at the same time the name of the tribe. The historical evidence is that orchards are abundant in the town of Sra Ouertan south of the town of Kef. The Berber tribe Ouertan had considerable influence in the pre-Islamic era and lived together with the Romans.
The Linn Kan, which shares two of the drive units of the IsobarikThe Isobarik Sara is a product concurrent with the PMS for the whole of its life. This 2-way, 4-ohm, design was a physically much smaller product - measuring - that required tall speaker stands. Launched in 1978, it was Linn's entry-level loudspeaker until the Kan (a non-isobaric bookshelf speaker using the same Linn D20-LP-1 and KEF B110 drive units as its big brother) was released. The Kan was discontinued in 1990.
The headmaster permitted him to restart his sixth and final year of high school, in 1919–20. But the winter season and aforementioned malnutrition severely worsened his health, and he was hospitalized following his primary infection. Accordingly, he was obliged to abandon his studies and remain at the hospital. Bourguiba in 1917 In order to heal, Bourguiba spent nearly two years living with older brother Mohamed, medic at the local hospital of Kef who also happened to be a strong modernist and advocating secularism.
After Mestiri's attempt to seize control of the party, Bourguiba suspended him, along with his allies and declared finished the works of the Central Committee: "It is more than clear that, while I am still of this world, I will be maintained at the head of State". In May 1973, Bourguiba met with Algerian President Houari Boumediene in Kef. This one told him: "The beginning is the union between Algeria and Tunisia. We will do it methodically but firmly [...] we will proceed in stages".
A year after getting his philosophy baccalaureate in his native town Sfax, Mohamed Fourati moved to Lille (France) to pursue his graduate education in the medical school of Lille. In order to validate his studies, he became an intern in the Farhat-Hachad Hospital of Sousse. Traveling between the two continents, he secured, in 1959, a medical doctorate at the medical school of Lille. BB-8 appeared in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker where, in mission with Rey, Finn, Poe, Chewie and C-3PO on Pasaana eventually befriended a droid named D-O. Later followed them on Kef Bir and Exegol in the last war against Emperor Palpatine. After celebrating the victory of the Resistance on Ajan Kloss, BB-8 followed Rey on Tatooine where she buried Luke and Leia's lightsabers in the Lars homestead and, in the end, the droid watched the binary sunrise along with her.
In the film, Leia continues to lead the Resistance while offering guidance and support to Rey as she continues her training to become a Jedi. A flashback reveals that Leia had abandoned her own training after she had a vision foretelling her son's death if she finished. While Rey and Ren duel on Kef Bir, a dying Leia uses all of her remaining strength to reach out to her son. Distracted after sensing his mother's death, Ren is stabbed by Rey with his own lightsaber.
Polybius, 66.5, and 1:68.12 Delays in dealing with the mercenaries eventually led to the gathering of the entire army and their families in Sicca Veneria (modern El Kef), where they demanded payment from the Carthaginian negotiator Hanno the Great.Polybius, 1:66.6-66.12. The exact amount owned the mercenaries can only be guessed, but given the back pay, ration money and any other rewards promised, it probably was a substantial amount,Hoyos Dexter, The Truceless War, p. 27–31 which the mercenaries inflated after they reached Sicca.
Delays in dealing with the mercenaries eventually led to the gathering of the entire army and their families in Sicca Veneria (modern El Kef). The mercenaries had little to do and spent their time calculating the sum owned to them by Carthage, which did not agree with what the Carthaginians had in mind. The delay in Carthage providing any payment also made the men restless. When they finally had the chance to demand payment from the Carthaginian negotiator Hanno the Great,Polybius, 1:66.6-66.12.
The losses were so high and the army's morale so low, however, that he was soon forced to withdraw further north to the fortress of Laribus (the modern village of Lorbeus, near Le Kef.), where he started mustering his army. Learning of the battle, Antalas immediately rose up again and joined the Tripolitanian tribes, while the Byzantines' allies, Cutzinas and Ifisdaias, were quarreling among themselves. Throughout the remainder of 547, the Moors were free to raid across Africa, even reaching the vicinity of Carthage itself..
As the city of El Kef existed long since the Roman-era, the site was used for defense of the city by several civilizations in the past, including the Romans and Arabs, according to the texts, inscriptions and ruins existed in the fort. It was established as kasbah for the first time by the Ottomans in 1600, consisted of four watchtowers, a room for the soldiers, and a secret door for escape accessible to the northwest side of the fort.معالم لها تاريخ: القصبة: حصن مدينة الكاف. Numerous other confusions stemmed from this error, including attribution of works not actually authored by him, and many later writers made similar errors based on Maffei's writings. As to his name, scholar Anthony Birley has suggested that the name "Eutychius" is actually a corruption of the text, and in all cases should properly read "Tuticius". We have an inscription from El Kef that mentions a "Marcus Tuticius Proculus" as procurator Augusti (that is, financial procurator, or CFO of a Roman province). This could be the same man, or a relative.
Estimated development costs of the order of £100,000 were said to have been incurred at the time. Approximately 20 units of the LS3/5 were produced in-house. The BBC had initiated tendering to have the LS3/5 made under licence. As the broadcasting unit was about to order another batch of the monitor, it was found that KEF had discontinued the B110 (A6362) and the T27 (A6340) in favour of the B110 (SP1003) and T27 (SP1032) specification, and was already using them in the Coda, one of their own-brand commercial loudspeakers.
Draprerie Stalactite The cave Nefza is an extension of the mine Ghanguet Kef at Jebel El Damous which peaked at about 202 metres. The latter is formed by land dating from the Cretaceous, the Eocene, and the Oligocene. At these sites are deposits of zinc and lead. The cavity, with a total length of 310 metres and a height of 60 metres, contains a tectonic accident: its cross section shows a general shape of a triangle with a straight wall western wall and a shaped Eastern staircase reversed.

However, another character dismisses this as a myth, saying that most of the Death Star's mass was obliterated in the explosion, and that the Rebels "took care of the rest". The Rise of Skywalker depicts the wreckage of the second Death Star in a watery location, named Kef Bir, an ocean moon featured in the film that orbits the same gas giant as the forest moon. Wicket W. Warrick and his son Pommet appear briefly at the end of The Rise of Skywalker, at the sky after the destruction of a Final Order Star Destroyer.

Bab Souika (initially known as Bab El Saqqayin) had a strategic role to keep the roads to Bizerte, Béja and Le Kef. Bab Menara (initially known as Bab El Artha) opened onto the medina and on the suburb of El Haoua. As for El Bab Bhar, it allowed access to some funduqs where Christian merchants lived in Tunis. With the development of the capital under the reign of the Hafsids, two emerging suburbs grew outside the walls; Bab El Jazira in the south and Bab Souika to the north.
On 23 August 1871, they were authorized to build a railway line between Tunis and Le Bardo, the future TGM. The contract even granted the authorization to operate for 99 years the land crossed by the line, inaugurated on August 2, 1872. Jean Ganiage,op. cit., This was an opportunity for the British consul, Richard Wood, to push his advantage by obtaining an extension of the line from La Goulette to La Marsa as well as the concessions of the Tunis - Hammam Lif, Tunis - Béja and Tunis - Le Kef lines.
In the 1970s CTN expanded its presence in the transport of crude oil, petroleum products and foodstuffs. With the commissioning in 1978 of the ferry Habib, providing service between Tunis, Marseille and Genoa, it also increased its involvement in passenger transport. Moving to roll-on/roll-off service, CTN turned to the renewal of its fleet, taking delivery of El-Jem and Tozeur in 1977, and of Bizerte and Kairouan in 1979.
Kalaa Djerda Airfield is an abandoned military airfield in Tunisia approximately south-southwest of El Kef and southwest of Tunis. In 1979, Linn Products created the Kan – a non-BBC specification bookshelf speaker that used a LS3/5A-sized cabinet and the same B110 driver from KEF. Linn acquired a hundred pairs of cabinets from the supplier of the bankrupt Chartwell, and used them for the very first Kans. The Kan, however, used a Scanspeak D2008 tweeter, subsequently followed by a re-badged OEM D20-LP-1 tweeter from Hiquphon in May 1984. Linn installed a very simple crossover into the box that transformed it into "one of the fastest and most involving wall mount miniatures ever", according to Martin Colloms.
American troops moving through the Kasserine Pass After further discussion, the Comando Supremo issued orders on 19 February for Rommel to attack through the Kasserine and Sbiba passes toward Thala and Le Kef to threaten First Army's flank. Rommel's original proposal was for a limited but concentrated attack through Kasserine to confront II Corps' strength at Tébessa and gain vital supplies from the US dumps there. Although he was to have 10th and 21st Panzer Divisions transferred to his command, Rommel was concerned that the new plan would dilute his force concentration and expose his flanks to threat.Watson (2007), pp.
Beni Snous is a Berber variety close to Zenati languages spoken near Tlemcen in Algeria. In the early 20th century, Beni Snous Berber was spoken in the villages of Kef, Tghalimet, Bou Hallou, Ait Larbi, Ait Achir, Adziddaz, and Mazzer; all speakers were bilingual in the Arabic language. The Beni Snous had no trouble conversing with their Berber-speaking neighbours among the Beni Bou Said just to the west, and (with some difficulty) could communicate in Berber with people from Figuig, Beni Iznacen, beside the border in Morocco. However, they found Tashelhiyt (in southern Morocco) and Kabyle (in central Algeria) almost unintelligible.

Modern Tunisia The transportation system was developed by the construction of railroads and highways, as well as sea ports. Already by 1884 the Compagnie du Bône-Guelma had built a rail line running from Tunis west 1,600 km to Algiers, passing through the fertile Medjerda river valley near Beja and over the high tell. Eventually rail lines were built all along the coast from the northwest at Tabarka to Bizerte, to Tunis and Sousse, to Sfax and Gabès; inland routes went from the coastal ports to Gafsa, to Kasserine, and to El Kef. Highways were also constructed.

Ebba Ksour Airfield is an abandoned World War II military airfield in Tunisia, located near El Ksour, in Kef province, approximately 150 km South-West of Tunis. The airfield was built as a temporary wartime field by Army Engineers, using Pierced Steel Planking (PSP) for runways and parking and dispersal areas, and support structures being quickly constructed out of wood or tents. It was used briefly by the United States Army Air Forces Twelfth Air Force 33d Fighter Group between 12 April and 9 June 1943 during the North African Campaign flying P-40 Warhawks. After the 33d moved east to Menzel Temime, the airfield was dismantled by engineers.
Bands such as the Vosbikian Band of Philadelphia were notable in the 1940s and 1950s for developing their own style of "kef music", heavily influenced by the popular American big band jazz of the time. Another oud player, John Berberian, is notable in particular for his fusions of traditional music with rock and jazz in the 1960s. In the Lebanese and Syrian diaspora, George Tutunjian, Karnig Sarkissian and others performed Armenian revolutionary songs, which quickly became popular among the Armenian Diaspora, notably ARF supporters. In Tehran, Iran, the folk music of the Armenian community is characterized by the work of Nikol Galanderian (1881–1946) and the Goghtan Choir.
Tunisian architecture is traditionally expressed in various facets in Tunisia through Roman architecture and Islamic architecture. Through many buildings, Kairouan forms the epicenter of an architectural movement expressing the relationship between buildings and spirituality with the ornamental decoration of religious buildings in the holy city. In Djerba, the architecture such as the fortress of Kef reflects the military and spiritual destiny of a Sufi influence in the region. Mosque in Kairouan The influential role of the various dynasties that ruled the country, particularly in building cities and princes of Raqqada Mahdia, illuminates the role of the geopolitical context in the architectural history of the country.

Meanwhile, as each group arrived it was billeted inside the city of Carthage where the advantages of civilisation were appreciated to the full after up to ten years under siege. So much so, that before the full 20,000 had arrived they were relocated to Sicca Veneria (modern El Kef) away, even though a significant portion of their arrears had to be paid before they would go. Freed of their long period of military discipline and with nothing to do, the men grumbled among themselves and refused all attempts by the Carthaginians to pay them less than the full amount due. Frustrated by the Carthaginian negotiators' attempts to haggle, all 20,000 troops marched to Tunis, from Carthage.
He was named as Bey of Tunis but unable to brook any opposition, had himself elected Dey as well and announced the abolition of that title. Ibrahim Sharif became very unpopular among the Turks on account of his massacre of the Muradid family and especially because of his accumulation of power. The weakness of his authority attracted the attention of the Dey of Algiers, who was keen for revenge, and the Tripolitanias who desired the island of Djerba which had been seized from them fifty years earlier. Ibrahim Sharif successfully combatted the Bey of Tripoli in the south of the country, but was defeated by the Dey of Algiers near Kef on 10 July 1705.

Thus the design had to be revised because these new units had different impedances, technical characteristics and altered resonance patterns.[2][4] The tweeter was considered potentially fragile because it now had an exposed dome, so a suitable protection grille was found to cover and protect the dome. The tweeter was also surrounded by a thick felt rectangle to prevent interference pattern effects being created by the edge of the cabinet. The crossover also had to undergo change, and the LS3/5 became the LS3/5A in the early summer of 1974. The KEF B110 SP1003 is a 110mm speaker with a doped Bextrene (a proprietary type of polystyrene copolymer) cone and a neoprene surround.
Likewise, Mohamed was a great lover of theater and former director of the drama troupe Ech-Chahama, who had stopped its activities because of the war. Between 1909 and 1913, it performed famous plays such as Hamlet, Mejnoun Leila... Since it reprised its activities, Bourguiba rehearsed with his brother and participated in plays that gave him insurance. Unfortunately, the rehearsed play was prohibited by authorities because it recalled the situation of Netherlands people under Spanish colonization. However, Bourguiba enjoyed his brother's sympathy toward the Kef inhabitants: He learned to play cards, discussed military strategy, got interested in Mustafa Kemal Atatürk then visited his other brother Ahmed in Thala with whom he learned horseriding.
He anticipated they would be promptly paid the several years back pay they were owed and hurried on their way home. The Carthaginian authorities decided to instead wait until all of the troops had arrived and then attempt to negotiate a settlement at a lower rate. Meanwhile, as each group arrived it was billeted inside the city of Carthage where the advantages of civilisation were appreciated to the full after up to eight years under siege. This "tumultuous licentiousness" so alarmed the city's authorities that before the full 20,000 had arrived they were relocated to Sicca Veneria (modern El Kef), away, even though a significant portion of their arrears had to be paid before they would go.
In 1988, KEF introduced an extension of the coaxial loudspeaker concept. Their Uni-Q driver is a coincident driver, where the two drivers share the same acoustic center and therefore are closer in time alignment. This was made possible by using the then newly affordable powerful yet small neodymium magnets for the tweeter making the whole tweeter assembly small enough, magnet included, to fit inside the woofer's voice coil. Other home audio speaker companies making coaxial speakers include TAD, Cabasse with their 4-way Concentric QC-55 Driver as seen in their flagship model - La Sphère, Hsu, Vandersteen, until recently Theil, and a budget speaker made a few years ago by Insignia.
On April 21, the Grand Vizier Hedi Lakhoua published a proclamation by which, Ahmad II bey, declaring himself as a defender of Muslim religion, asked his subjects for peace, defended Sharaa and warned troublemakers against the harmful aftermaths of their acts. His intervention had no effect, and to avoid riots, naturalized were buried in European cemeteries like in Kairouan, La Manouba, El Kef and Souk El Arba., On May 1, the inhabitants of Tunis inhabitants started protests once again in order to stop the burial of Mrs Kebaïli, whose husband was the chairman of the Muslim League of France. The Resident-General yielded, days later, ordering the burial of French Muslims in specially-designated cemeteries.
The Roland Juno-60, a favourite keyboard of Enya's that she used on Watermark. In 1989, she said: "We wouldn't part with it for anything in the world". With the green-light to make a new album, Enya recorded Watermark from June 1987 to April 1988. It was initially recorded in demo form at Aigle Studio, a 16-track facility located in the basement of the Ryans' home, then located in Artane, a northern suburb of Dublin. Nicky operated a Fostex E16 tape machine with KEF and Yamaha NS-10M speakers for monitoring, two Alesis MIDIverb II models, an ATC Q1 for reverb, and a Roland SDE-1000 Digital Delay for delay.
On 20 December 2011, after former President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali was deposed, he joined the Jebali Cabinet as Minister of Industry and Commerce. On 16 February 2012, he became Minister of Industry only, and his former deputy minister, Bechir Zaafouri, became Minister of Trade and Handicraft.Le ministère de l’Industrie et du Commerce est scindé en deux, Business News, 20 April 2012 In May 2012, he announced that natural gas lines would reach the governorates of Kasserine, Siliana, Jendouba, Beja, and El Kef in Northwestern Tunisia.Farah Samti, Natural Gas Lines to Reach Tunisia’s Northwestern Region , Tunisia Live, 11 May 2012 In June 2012, he unveiled a $2.5 billion investment strategy in solar energy for the Société Tunisienne de l'Electricité et du Gaz (STEG).
Placed under house arrest, he was arrested for "answering serious suspicions that weighed on him" fifteen days after his dismissal and imprisoned in Mornaguia prison [1]. Without legal proceedings, some of his legally acquired property is confiscated and his wife is deprived of her retirement pension. On June 13, 2012, he obtained a dismissal by the military court of Kef for his role in the crackdown of January 2011 in Thala and Kasserine. On July 19, the military court of Tunis sentenced him to fifteen years in prison in the largest trial of the martyrs and wounded of the revolution, those of greater Tunis and five other governorates, sentence brought back on appeal to three years of prison on April 12, 2014.
In May 2017, two years after Mojo Brands Media's bankruptcy led to the cancellation of The Daily Buzz, broadcast and digital public relations company KEF Media announced that it would revive The Daily Buzz, after acquiring the show's trademark and branding."Morning Show 'The Daily Buzz' Comes Back," from Broadcasting & Cable, 5/2/2017 Contradicting its title somewhat, the show would be offered initially to broadcasters as a one-hour, once-per-week series (also available as a half- hour weekly series, as it airs on Youtoo), in addition having daily updates on digital platforms. Additional broadcast and digital airings would eventually be added as the show grows. The Daily Buzz would return to air the weekend of June 18, 2017 (two weekends later than previously announced).
73-75 Major General Harmon had been in Thala on the Algerian border, witnessing the stubborn resistance of the British Nickforce, which held the vital road leading into the Kasserine Pass against the heavy pressure of the German 10th Panzer Division, which was under Rommel's direct command. Commanding the British Nickforce was Brigadier Cameron Nicholson, an effective combat leader who kept his remaining forces steady under relentless German hammering. When the U.S. 9th Infantry Division's attached artillery arrived in Thala after a four-day, 800-mile march, it seemed like a godsend to Harmon. Inexplicably, the 9th was ordered by Anderson to abandon Thala to the enemy and head for the village of Le Kef, 50 miles away, to defend against an expected German attack.
The techniques employed ensure that energy that would have caused the unwanted motion of the front panel and drivers is cancelled by a similar but opposite energy from the upward facing units, resulting in the minimum amount of resonances. The cabinets were initially made by Linn in their own factory, but the manufacturing was later outsourced to furniture-makers Leon Levin of Glasgow. Although the speaker uses bought-in drivers, they have been rebuilt using stronger materials. Drivers' metal baskets are treated to reduce the effects of vibration, and the enclosure designed and constructed to control energy. The drive units (T27, B110 and B139) were sourced from KEF in kit form, and two KEFKIT3 kits were judiciously used for each cabinet.
Reimers studied electrical engineering with specialization on telecommunications and radio-frequency engineering and obtained his doctoral degree at the Technische Universität Braunschweig. After seven years at the Robert Bosch GmbH where Reimers worked in the area of television devices, he became technical director of the Norddeutscher Rundfunk (North German Broadcasting). Since 1993 he is the director of the Institut für Nachrichtentechnik (Institute for Telecommunications Engineering) at the TU Braunschweig. From 1990 to 2002 he was the president of the Fernseh- und Kinotechnische Gesellschaft (FKTG). Reimers is a board member of the Deutsche TV-Plattform, president of the „Technical Module“ in the „DVB Project“ and a member of the Kommission zur Ermittlung des Finanzbedarfs der Rundfunkanstalten (KEF) (commission for determining the financial requirements of the broadcasting companies).
Poe, whose faith in the Resistance has been shaken by the lack of support they have received since the Battle of Crait, considers going along with her, but Zorii ultimately urges him to finish what the Resistance has started. She helps him to board the Resurgent-class Star Destroyer Steadfast to rescue Chewbacca, whom he learns is still alive. While attempting to rescue Chewbacca, Poe and Finn are captured and set to be executed by General Hux (Domnhall Gleeson); Hux, however, lets them go when he reveals that he is the mole, supporting their cause to undermine Ren. They subsequently rescue Rey and Chewbacca aboard the Millennium Falcon and leave for Kef Bir, the ocean moon of Endor, where the remains of the second Death Star lie.
French repression in the Guelma region differed from that in Sétif in that while only 12 pied-noirs had been killed in the countryside, attacks on civilians lasted until 26 June. The Constantine préfet, Lestrade-Carbonnel had supported the creation of European settler militias, while the Guelma sous- préfet, André Achiari, created an informal justice system (Comité de Salut Public) designed to encourage the violence of the settler vigilantism against unarmed civilians, and to facilitate the identification and murder of nationalist activists. He also instructed police and army intelligence agencies to assist the settler militias. Muslim victims killed in both urban and rural areas were buried in mass graves in places like Kef-el-Boumba, but the corpses were later dug up and burned in Héliopolis.
They fought alongside the British 139th Brigade at Kassarine and Sidi Nasr, where they famously conducted a heroic bayonet charge, facing two to one odds, against the Italian 34th Battalion of the 10th Bersaglieri near the mountain of Kef Zilia on the road to Bizerte, taking 380 prisoners, killing the Italian battalion commander, and capturing the plans for Operation Auslading. They participated in the capture of Bizerte in May 1943. For its actions, the Corps Franc d'Afrique was awarded the Croix de Guerre. The CFA formally was dissolved on 9 July 1943, with its members and equipment forming the corps of the newly created African Commando Group (GCA) on 13 July 1943 in Dupleix, Algeria, today seen as a forebear to the postwar Parachutist Shock Battalions and the modern day 13th RDP.

He also concluded that more material was needed to make a firm conclusion about the relationship between the early Holocene Nile valley populations and later ancient Egyptians.Keita, S.O.Y. "Temporal Variation in Phenetic Affinity of Early Upper Egyptian Male Cranial Series", Human Biology, Volume 80, Number 2 (2008) In 2013, Terrazas et al. conducted a comparative craniometric analysis of Dynastic Egyptian skulls with ancient and recent crania from other parts of Africa, and found that the ancient Egyptians were morphologically closest to modern Afroasiatic-speaking populations from the Horn of Africa. Both of these fossil series possessed Middle Eastern affinities and were distinct from the analyzed prehistoric crania of North Africa and the Horn region, including the Pleistocene Rabat skull, Herto Homo sapiens idaltu fossil and Early Holocene Kef Oum Touiza skeleton.
Despite not being a "commercial product" at the outset, the LS3/5A was commercially successful in its twenty-something-year life, from 1975 until approximately 2000, when the availability of KEF drive units came to an end. The speaker has amassed an "enthusiastic, focused, and loyal [...] following, and none so large or vocal", according to Paul Seydor in The Absolute Sound. Estimates of their sales differ, possibly due to scope and cut-off: when it ceased production in 1998, "some 100,000 pairs were in circulation, with 3000 pairs sold in its last year alone", according to Seydor; in 2001, Ken Kessler similarly estimated in Hi-fi News that 100,000 pairs had been produced. In 2007, Martin Colloms reported "more than 60,000 pairs of the original LS3/5As were made".
Armenian folk musicians Descendants of survivors of the Armenian Genocide, originally from Western Armenia, and Armenian emigrants from other parts of the Middle East have settled in various countries, especially in the California Central Valley. The second- and third-generation artists, such as Richard Hagopian, an oud-player associated with the kef tradition of Armenian-American music have kept their folk traditions alive. This dance-oriented style of Armenian music, using Armenian and Middle Eastern folk instruments (often electrified/amplified) and some Western instruments, preserved the folk songs and dances of Western Armenia. Many artists also played the contemporary popular songs of cosmopolitan Turkey and other Middle Eastern countries from which the Armenians emigrated (termed surjaran or café aman, meaning cafeteria), on the Eight Avenue of Manhattan, New York City.
The move saw great improvements to both online business, and higher-value in-store custom. The new premises is in direct view of Hereford's beautiful cathedral, and is easily recognisable by the neat orange and white 'HifiGear' sign, glowing over a brushed aluminium front, designed to reflect the clean aesthetic of the website. The King Street store showcases a number of models from highly regarded hifi brands, including Bowers & Wilkins, Naim Audio, KEF, Sonos, Ruark Audio, Loewe televisions, Pro- Ject Turntables, and much more, with demonstration capabilities in place for customers who wish to audition or compare products.
After the Mejba Revolt, the palace was offered by Muhammad III as-Sadiq to Salah Ben Mohamed, a kahia and tribal leader who was promoted later to bach hamba (captain of the mounted police) and a lieutenant governor of El Kef for his loyalty and good services during the civil war. Salah Ben Mohamed transformed the palace into a habous. In 1872, Hammuda Chahed, a rich noble and one of the biggest chaouachia corporation chiefs, bought it but kept its previous legal status as a habous. In 1957, Dar Hammouda Pacha lost its status as a habous due to a new law, which made it possible to the touristic development society of Tunisia, and affiliate of the Poulina group to buy the palace and convert it into a prestigious restaurant called Dar Hammouda Pacha.

Anatolian and kef music were a source of controversy due to the shared Ottoman past they represented in the post-genocide era. A combination of factors in Lebanon, including political independence and the strength of various Armenian institutions, created conditions that were permissive of the rise of an Armenian nationalism that was similar to the Turkish nationalism that emerged in the Ottoman Empire in the years leading up to the 1915 genocide. Music in the Lebanese diaspora became another means to separate "us" and "them", but also provided a space where Lebanese Armenians could connect with a concept of "home" in place of the Ottoman past and Soviet present. Community choirs that formed in Lebanon during the 1930s, led by former students of Komitas, utilized the imagery of Komitas as the saint and martyr of Armenian music.
In 2007, they set up the ETC Community Center, which led to the establishment of the Faizal & Shabana Foundation in 2007 as "a charitable trust which aims to leverage the business models they developed in the oil and gas sector". In the same year, Kottikollon established KEF Holdings as the parent company for the group with the "goal to provide poorer areas of the world with the education, training and healthcare they sorely lack through the use of technology and collaboration". In 2008, Dubai International Capital (DIC), the investment arm of the government-owned Dubai Holding, acquired a 45 percent stake in Emirates Techno Casting for $126 million. In 2011, Tyco International announced it completed the acquisition of 75% equity stake in Emirates Techno Casting, worth US$300 million, including the stake originally acquired by DIC.

On the 1st of August 2011 Germany broadcast digital radio services on a DAB+ nationwide multiplex. Fourteen new stations from a football programme, to rock, pop, classical, talk and Christian radio can now be heard across Germany and with the national multiplex being shared between both public and private broadcasters it is expected that the new stations on air will increase in number in the very near future. The German Digital Radio project office (Deutschland Digital Radio) was created to co- ordinate the efforts of all stakeholders on the national multiplex, the public broadcasters (ARD) and Deutschland Radio. The network operator, Media Broadcast, has 27 transmitters on-air in the first stage covering all major cities and autobahns, and plans for coverage of up to 99% in some areas are due by 2014. Germany’s public service financing committee, the KEF provided funding to facilitate the roll out of national DAB+ digital radio in Germany.

Narration Éditions, Marseille, 1995, That year, some of the French delegates began protesting against the fact that a third of the seats in their section of the conference were reserved for farmers, although they were a declining proportion of the French population. Four of them resigned in November over this issue and, at the last session in December, twenty more of their colleagues (out of 45) walked out of the session because they felt the real powers of the assembly were "non-existent." At the same time, the issue for the Tunisian delegates was the lack of any elections. At their last session in 1920, seven of the sixteen delegates, from Tunis, Sousse, Bizerte and Le Kef) made a statement decrying the fact that they had been appointed to their positions as long ago as 1907, calling for their terms of office to be ended, and for the replacements to be directly elected.
