She was one of the artists who performed as part of the Conservatory Sessions run by Pine The Pilcrow in 2019. For the 2020 Nollaig na mBan celebrations in EPIC the Irish Emigration Museum, Elle performed alongside Tara Flynn and Chiamaka Enyi-Amadi. Her debut album, FATIMA, is due for release in 2020.
Rosa Duffy was inspired to open the bookstore after reading her father's collection of the Black 1960s periodical SoulBook. Her interest in Black literature was nurtured by her parents, graduates of Spelman College and Morehouse College. Duffy began collecting Black classic books at age 18 and planned to open the store after her personal book collection began to grow too large. For Keeps opened in November 2018 in the historically Black Sweet Auburn neighborhood of Atlanta.
In 2010, Lanez posted a video on YouTube, challenging fellow Canadian rapper Drake, to whom he was rumored to be related. The video features him denying these rumors and announcing the $10,000 challenge. The Gnomes' Great Adventure is an American animated film first released, by Miramax Films, in 1987, and directed by Harvey Weinstein. The film was Weinstein's second and final directorial effort, following Playing for Keeps (1986). Based on The World of David the Gnome, it follows the life and adventures of the gnomes as they struggle to outwit enemy trolls. Despite the film's obscurity, some well known actors contributed to it, including Tom Bosley, Christopher Plummer, Bob Elliott, Ray Goulding and Frank Gorshin.

The Grand Hotel served as a backdrop and one of the settings for the 1980 film Somewhere in Time starring Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour. Every October the hotel hosts an annual convention for fans of the cult classic. The hotel also served as the setting for the 1947 musical comedy This Time for Keeps starring Jimmy Durante and Esther Williams (after whom the hotel's swimming pool is named). The hotel was the origin of the first World Sauntering Day in the 1970s.

After becoming the sole songwriter for Energy in 2012, Jason Tankerley began writing songs for what would eventually make up Energy's 2016 album Apparition Sound, released through Monster Party Records. "The Elwins Roll Out North American and European Tour Dates, Set Sights on New Album" In October 2014, the Elwins signed with North American record label Hidden Pony. They re- released their debut album And I Thank You on October 21 and released their sophomore album Play for Keeps later the following year, February 24, 2015. The album was released in North America under Hidden Pony Records, Affairs of the Heart in Europe and Moorworks in Japan. The band supported the release with tours of Canada, the United States, Europe and Japan.

Director Dick Thorpe hadn't wanted the bulls killed (as they usually were at the end of a bullfight) because he believed them to be too expensive to replace. After filming was completed on Fiesta, Williams appeared in the romance This Time for Keeps (1947) with singer Johnnie Johnston. In 1948, Williams signed a contract with swimwear company Cole of California to appear as their spokesperson, and Williams and the other swimmers in her films wore Cole swimsuits. Since the aqua-musicals were an entirely new genre, the studio's costume designers had little experience creating practical swimsuits.

Batinkoff made his television debut in a 1974 commercial, after an agent spotted him at a toy store. He appeared in several made-for-television films in the 1980s, such as The Stepford Children, before being cast opposite teen starlet Molly Ringwald in the 1988 comedy, For Keeps. He starred as Terrance Dean on the short-lived CBS series, Better Days which only lasted 5 weeks before being canceled. In the early 1990s, Batinkoff had roles in several widely released films, including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Player, School Ties (all released 1992) and 1995's Higher Learning.

Playing for Keeps is the third studio album by American rock musician Eddie Money, released in July 1980, by Wolfgang Records and Columbia Records. It continues the expansion to include pop oriented tracks that began with the previous album. The inclusion of the reggae-influenced "Running Back" as well as the syrupy duet "Let's Be Lovers Again" with Valerie Carter are indicative of the attempt to maintain rocker status and successfully migrate into the pop charts at the same time. Several of the tracks were written in conjunction with band member Randy Nichols who toured and recorded with Money at the time.

Lotsa de Casha debuted at number three on The New York Times Best Seller list. Elaine Stuart from Parenting found humor in the names Madonna gave in the book, like naming Lotsa's castle as "Flasha de Casa" and the mountain on which it is situated as the "Muchadougha Mountains", details she believed would make the readers laugh. Roy Blatchford from Books for Keeps liked the story and rated it four-out-of- five stars.
The final track, "Call On Me" was often interjected into the set lists prior to the release of this album and received a strong response in spite of its more soulful, less frantic composure. This album also marked a conscious effort to expand Money's audience with the inclusion of several more pop and dance oriented numbers. This direction would continue to be expanded upon with the subsequent release Playing for Keeps. The album was met with less enthusiastic critical response than its predecessor with a number of the pundits citing a weakness of quality songwriting and the inconsistency of style as pitfalls.

The band split up in 1991 after a fractious tour to promote the For Keeps album, during which lead singer/guitarist Robert Wratten announced he was leaving. Later, Field Mice members Wratten, Anne Mari Davies (Wratten's ex-girlfriend), and Mark Dobson briefly formed Yesterday Sky before becoming the more synth-oriented outfit Northern Picture Library, and then Wratten went on to form Trembling Blue Stars in 1995. A double-album compilation of the now long-deleted Field Mice releases, Where'd You Learn to Kiss That Way? was released in 1998 and sold more copies than any Field Mice record ever sold at the time.
The response towards the series has been generally positive. Some reviews of the series website included a The Independent review that Really Rotten Experiments is "Perfect for keeping the kids occupied on a rainy day, this is full of useful tips...and fun, naughty experiments". Another review by the Evening Express (Aberdeen) said that the book Horrible Science: Painful Poison is "With fantastic fact files, quirky quizzes, humorous cartoons and easy-to- understand text, it makes science pretty horrible, but great fun". Books For Keeps said of the book Deadly Diseases: "Gruesome gut churning contents, you need a strong stomach to tackle this, and certainly before eating".
It received mostly positive reviews: Kirkus Reviews called it "an elaborate, fascinating, and superbly crafted adventure", School Library Journal praised it for its "knife-sharp prose" and for being a "marvelously mind-stretching" book, while Booklist said it was a "satisfying tale" and that "[t]he action is fast paced, the mysterious circumstances are compelling, and there's even a nice bit of humor." Books For Keeps were more noncommittal, noting simply that it would need a "doughty readership", describing the novel as "a demanding read" with "page after page of challenging ideas". But Publishers Weekly were critical of the novel, due to its "muddled narrative" and "confusing finale".
Scene 1: Catfish Row, the next night A group of women mourn Clara, Jake, and all of those who have been killed in the storm ("Clara, Clara, don't you be downhearted"). When they begin to mourn for Crown as well, Sportin' Life laughs at them and is told off by Maria. He insinuates that Crown may not be dead, and observes that when a woman has a man, maybe she's got him for keeps, but if she has two men, then it's highly likely she'll end up with none. Bess is heard singing Clara's lullaby to her baby, whom she is now taking care of.
Many of the songs, including "Take Me Home" and "Long Long Way to Go", have been featured in episodes of Miami Vice and Cold Case, and "The Man with the Horn" was re-written and re-recorded for the episode "Phil the Shill". "We Said Hello Goodbye" was remixed for the film Playing for Keeps. Upon its release, the album was received favourably by the majority of music critics and won three Grammy Awards including for Album of the Year in 1986. Stephen Holden of The New York Times wrote that Collins was "quietly revolutionising and expanding the role of the drums in pop record making".
Several of Little's books, such as Mine for Keeps and From Anna, focus on children who have a disability or are affected by a person with a disability. Burke refuses to get involved, but Clancy says that he'll cut them in if they help with getting the gold. Burke raises his fists for another brawl, but Marge breaks a bottle over his head, knocking him out.

In February 2010, Kingston contacted Lanez, telling him to meet up with him, during Justin Bieber's tour and later got him to perform on there live. In 2010, Lanez released the mixtapes, Just Landed, One Verse One Hearse, Playing for Keeps and Mr. 1 Verse Killah. In 2011, Lanez signed a record deal with Kingston's Time is Money Entertainment and released the mixtapes, Mr. Peterson, Chixtape, and Swavey.

On November 18, 1955, in the midst of the big- money quiz-show craze, CBS tried a revival for their daytime schedule with Sonny Fox as host.The Game Show Pilot Light: Play For Keeps This pilot is usually cited in "what if?" discussions regarding a big-money Goodson-Todman quiz show, as in this pilot the "returning champion" had "previously won" $15,000 and there was no earnings cap. The rules were a bit different, in that the champion chose from one of ten categories, then wagered all or part of their previous winnings. If the champion defended their title, the money bet was added to their pre-bet total by the show; if the challenger won, s/he got the wagered money and the former champion had the wager deducted from their winnings.

As part of EMI's massive Duran Duran reissue plans, a jewel case 3 disc (2CD, 1 DVD) boxset of So Red the Rose was released 12 April 2010. It included the entire album, single mixes, the b-sides "She's Moody and Grey, She's Mean and She's Restless" and "Flame Game (Yo Homeboy Mix)", four versions of non-album track "Say The Word" (a track specially commissioned for the soundtrack of Playing for Keeps), and an unreleased instrumental mix of "The Promise". The DVD contains the original 1987 video release Arcadia. But in 2008 a previously existing, more complete LIMITED EDITION for Japan fan club (23-track digitally) was remastered into 6 CD single set, comprising all the singles ever released for the Arcadia project ('So Red the Rose' album LP), also including 'Say The Word'.

Instead she longed for the kind of carefree existence she would later depict in the Katie Morag stories, and used to wish herself "over the hills and far away" beyond the Cowal hills that she could see behind Kirn and Dunoon on the far side of the Firth of Clyde. She went to the island for the first time that year, and then came back every summer of her student vacations. During the later days of indie pop group The Field Mice, frontman and songwriter Robert "Bobby" Wratten and backing singer Anne Mari Davies, already musical partners in the group, formed a romantic relationship just before that group disbanded in 1991; their last album, For Keeps, documented the start of their personal relationship. The couple formed Northern Picture Library in 1993, a band which former Field Mice drummer Mark Dobson soon joined, which moved the couple into a dub-influenced dream pop direction that nonetheless retained the jangle pop guitar sound from the Field Mice. Primarily studio-only artists at this point, Davies began suffering from stage fright, strong enough to make live performances impossible for her, and in some of the band's contemporary material, Wratten and Davies had begun questioning their relationship. Soon after, the couple split up, both romantically and as musical collaborators, thus also ending Northern Picture Library.

" "Russian Roulette" begins with a "searing" guitar solo that later transitions into a "pulsing" beat which stays constant until the end of the song. The single opens with the lyrics, "Take a breath/ Take it deep/ Calm yourself/ He says to me/ If you play/ You play for keeps/ Take the gun/ And count to three." The metaphor about the game of Russian roulette is also present in the chorus in which Rihanna sings, "And you can see my heart beating/ You can see it through my chest/ I said I'm terrified, but I'm not leaving/ I know that I must pass this test/ So just pull the trigger." In other regional theatre, Cox has appeared at the Illinois Theatre Center, Victory Gardens, Northlight Theatre Company, The Court Theatre (Chicago), Steppenwolf Theatre, Milwaukee Rep, Writers Theatre and Goodman Theatre, where he has played Bob Cratchit in the Goodman's annual production of “A Christmas Carol”. More popular were the 1948 musicals On an Island with You with Williams; A Date with Judy with Jane Powell, Wallace Beery and Elizabeth Taylor; and Luxury Liner again with Powell. Pasternak unfortunately had a big flop with the Sinatra-Grayson musical The Kissing Bandit that same year, which lost MGM over $2 million.Variety says that it earned $1.8 million; Pasternak bounced back with In the Good Old Summertime (1949) with Garland and Johnson, and introduced Mario Lanza in That Midnight Kiss with Kathryn Grayson, which was a solid hit.
