Eremite Records is an independent American jazz record label founded in 1995 by Michael Ehlers with early involvement from music writer Byron Coley. After college, Ehlers started producing some concerts around Amherst, Massachusetts and Eremite evolved from that. The label name came from an alternate title for the Thelonious Monk tune "Reflections": "Portrait of an Eremite". The logo is an image of Joe McPhee playing soprano saxophone.

Iannapollo, Robert Eremite Records at All About Jazz Eremite organized a concerts series in Western Massachusetts that continued until 2008 & produced nearly 100 concerts, including five Fire in the Valley festivals. The first four Eremite releases were diverse adventurous new music, but then Ehlers started focusing on free jazz, working with neglected and underrecorded survivors of the 1960s and 1970s free jazz scene: drummers Sunny Murray and Denis Charles, saxophonists Sabir Mateen and Jemeel Moondoc, trumpeter Raphe Malik, bassists Alan Silva and William Parker.

Tri-P-Let is an album by American jazz saxophonist Jemeel Moondoc, which was recorded in 1996 and became the first release on the Eremite label. It was Moondoc's first recording since 1985. He leads a trio with two Boston based musicians: bassist John Voigt and drummer Laurence Cook.Tri-P-Let at Eremite "Triplet" is an extension of the album Judy's Bounce. "Another One the Hard Way" is dedicated to Ornette Coleman, while "Campbell’s Soup" is named after trumpeter Roy Campbell.

Thomas Edwardston (died 1396), was an Augustinian friar. Edwardston is said to have been born at a place called Edwardston in Suffolk, whence he derived his name. He studied at Oxford University, where he obtained the D.D. degree. He became a friar eremite of the order of St. Augustine at the monastery of Clare in his native county, and was eventually made prior.

He was a Doctor of Divinity. William de Bergeveney was named in a Papal Bull as being involved as a judge in a case of the Prior and brethren of St Augustine the Eremite involving the Diocese of Norwich.

Le Eremite is a small Catholic church in the Dorsoduro area of Venice, Italy. It was built at the end of the 17th century for Augustinian nuns. It formed part of a larger complex which included a convent and schools run by the nuns. The schools ran until the middle of the last century and taught children of all ages - from infants to high school.

Murthly Castle The 15th-century Murthly Castle is west of the village centre. An ambitious 19th-century replacement castle by James Gillespie Graham was never finished and was later demolished. Within the castle grounds is the Chapel of St Anthony the Eremite, a Catholic chapel designed by James Gillespie Graham and A W N Pugin in 1846, attached to an earlier 16th-century chapel. Carving in the castle and the chapel was done by Patric Park, then aged only 17.

Castel Nuovo, where the conclave was held Celestine V, founder of the Order of Celestines, widely esteemed and venerated for his holiness, was elected to the papacy on 7 July 1294, as a compromise choice after an over two-years long sede vacante. It quickly became clear that this saintly eremite was wholly incompetent and unsuited for a job as pope. Admitting his own incompetence soon after his election, Celestine expressed the wish to abdicate and return to his solitary cave in the Abruzzi Mountains. However, before doing so he issued two bulls.

He led an itinerant life in wanderings in Europe, an adjective already applied to him by Anthony Ashley-Cooper, 3rd Earl of Shaftesbury in his 1711 Characteristicks of Men, Manners, Opinions, Times. He self-identified as a "wandering eremite". Franciscus van Helmont had important groups of contacts in the Netherlands, where he knew Adam Boreel and Serrarius, and later in life, in 'the Lantern', the circle around the Rotterdam merchant Benjamin Furly that included John Locke. He was an influence on Franciscus van den Enden, and on the Spanish medical professor Juan de Cabriada.

A closer view of the church on the inside reveals a well preserved cross-ribbed dome, a beautiful stone chancel with a pulpit ceiling from around 1660, as well as late Gothic frescoes from the early part of the 15th century, It was restored in 1960/62. The former Augustine monastery was presumably founded towards the end of the 13th century, and occupied by Eremite Hermit Monks. This is where Luther's friend, Tilemann Schnabel, the reformer of Alsfeld lived and worked. At the time of the Reformation, in 1527, the monastery and church were closed down.

Herm (Guernésiais: Haerme, ultimately from Old Norse arms “arm”, due to the shape of the island, or Old French eremite “hermit”) is one of the Channel Islands and part of the Parish of St Peter PortNational Archives accessed 11 February 2016 in the Bailiwick of Guernsey. It is located in the English Channel, north-west of France and south of England. It is long and under wide; oriented north–south, with several stretches of sand along its northern coast. The much larger island of Guernsey lies to the west, Jersey lies to the south- east, and the smaller island of Jethou is just off the south-west coast.

The church was built in the 10th century by St. Nilus the Younger as a place of retirement for nearby eremite monks and is one of the most important testimonies to Byzantine art in Italy. It is the most ancient monument in the city and was originally dedicated to St. Anastasia. It has a Greek cross plan with five characteristic domes on cylindrical drums and, in the past, the entire building was supported by very thin columns then these were covered with cement after restoration works. Between 1928 and 1934, during the restoration works, a fragment of a fresco picturing a Virgin Hodegetria was discovered.

Yet, an assembly was convoked where it was decided to re-enter the war on the emperor's side, and two Lutician armies again attacked Bolesław later in 1017. One Lutician army joined the emperor's forces in the siege of Glogau (Thietmar VII, 59), while the other attacked another stronghold of Bolesław and devastated the surrounding region once they had lost 100 men in an unsuccessful attempt to take it (Thietmar VII, 61). Günther, an eremite from Magdeburg, tried to mission in the Lutician lands during the same year without success. The Peace of Bautzen (1018) ended the war between Henry and Bolesław, and the Lutici attacked their western neighbors, the Obodrite dukes, during the same year.

In October, their second album Meta was released which carried the keyboard heavy The Cure sound to extremes and which sold 2,300 units within 8 weeks. As second single, Your Master Is Calling, was released which got them TV appearance in Tele 5, was on rotation of many radio stations and is their most popular song to date with more than 2.4 million YouTube views. The third album Eremite also was recorded with Janez Križaj in Ljubljana and was finished in August 1989. However, their record label Fun Factory got into financial difficulties and Pink Turns Blue switched to the Rough Trade Records sub-label Our Choice, which released the album in April 1990.
