Dust Devil is a 1992 horror film written and directed by Richard Stanley. Hensley has written several novels and designed a variety of games including miniatures wargames, tabletop wargames, and role-playing games, as well as substantial freelance work writing modules for game systems.

Atmospheric Vortex Engine This scheme would drive the chimney-vortex with warm seawater or warm air from the ambient surface layer of the earth. In this application, the application strongly resembles a dust devil with an air-turbine in the center. Since 2000, Croatian researchers Ninic and Nizetic (from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture University of Split) have also developed this technology. and patents.

Power levels dramatically increased and daily science work was anticipated to be expanded. A similar phenomenon (solar panels mysteriously cleaned of accumulated dust) had previously been observed with the Opportunity rover, and dust devils had also been suspected as the cause. The video for Sugar and Spice featured the band, minus Chas Smash, playing the song in a traditional music hall venue. The video shows the band playing invisible instruments, performing magic tricks and acting out various scenes from the song against a digitalised back ground. This marks a return to form for Madness videos, as the previous singles NW5 and Dust Devil featured clips of live performances and actors respectively.

By October 2013 three examples had been registered in the United States with the Federal Aviation Administration including the sole Miller-Bohannon JM-2 Pushy Galore. None of the aircraft remains registered. One of the two stock JM-2s built was destroyed while racing in the Reno Air Races at Reno, Nevada on 15 September 1989, when it flew through a dust devil and broke up in flight, killing the pilot.

In Johannesburg, Wendy's husband Mark accuses her of cheating on him, leading her to leave him and drive to Namibia. Meanwhile, Mukurob and Captain Beyman investigate Saarke's house and find strange pictographs on the wall. Wendy runs her car off the road near a camper with a man near by. After the two push her car back on the road, Wendy then sees Dust Devil on the road side and offers him a ride.. Cpl.

As with all vortex flow, the speed of the flow is fastest at the core of the vortex. In accordance with Bernoulli's principle where the wind speed is fastest the air pressure is lowest; and where the wind speed is slowest the air pressure is highest. Consequently, near the center of the tornado or dust devil the air pressure is low. There is a pressure gradient toward the center of the vortex.

As more smoke falls and black leaves con-stellate, Koda collapses and sings the bridge on the ground. When the bridge section ends, rocks start levitating and the smoke rises, forming a black Dust devil in the distance. As more dust devil's form, they become large and closely devour Koda. By the last chorus, a close-up of Koda's eyes closes and zooms out, showing Koda in lighter clothes and long hair.

It is 138.4 kilometers in diameter. Its name refers to Ormsby M. Mitchel, an American astronomer and major general in the American Civil War.

Weinbaum is an impact crater in the Mare Australe quadrangle of Mars, located at 65.5°S latitude and 245.4°W longitude. It measures 82 kilometers in diameter and was named after American science fiction writer Stanley Weinbaum (1902–1935).

The black spot at the top is a dust devil climbing a crater wall on Mars. This moving, swirling column of Martian atmosphere (comparable to a terrestrial tornado) created the long, dark streak. Planetary science is the study of the assemblage of planets, moons, dwarf planets, comets, asteroids, and other bodies orbiting the Sun, as well as extrasolar planets. The Solar System has been relatively well-studied, initially through telescopes and then later by spacecraft.

Dust Devil was made from a previous work of Stanley's, an unfinished 16mm student short film about bizarre murders taking place around the town of Bethanie. The authorities never caught the serial killer, which led to locals believing the killings were caused by a supernatural force. The police eventually returned to town with the body of a man they believed was the killer; however, the body was without a head, which made identification with locals impossible.

Adcock has recorded two solo albums: the self-titled C. C. Adcock (produced by Tarka Cordell), issued in 1994 on the Island label, mixed at Chris Blackwell's Compass Point Studios by Terry Manning, and reissued in 2000 on the Evangeline label under the title House Rocker; and Lafayette Marquis, issued in 2004 on the Yep Roc label. Adcock is also a co-founder of the south Louisiana supergroup Lil' Band O' Gold, which also includes swamp pop pioneer Warren Storm on drums, accordionist Steve Riley, pianist David Egan and saxophonist Dickie Landry. Together, they have released three albums: their eponymous debut on Shanachie Records; The Promised Land (2010, Dust Devil Music, and 2011, Room 609 Records); and Plays Fats, which features Lil' Band O' Gold performing the music of Fats Domino with guests including Robert Plant and Lucinda Williams, and which was released in 2012 on the Dust Devil Music record label. Adcock has also made guest appearances on other artists' albums, including several by Steve Riley & the Mamou Playboys, Ani DiFranco and Doyle Bramhall.

In February 1992, Palace who was on the verge of financial collapse, asked Stanley to accept a cut that was a compromise between the original version and the Miramax edit. Stanley mentioned that "Palace explained it would be financially expedient to arrive at a compromise but I'd have nothing to do with it. I'd lost footage already and I wasn't willing to go back in the editing room." Dust Devil was initially set to be released in the United Kingdom in December 1992.

Some debunkers suggested that the affair was a hoax. Harvard astronomer Donald Menzel first suggested that Zamora had been the victim of a complex prank engineered by high school students who "planned the whole business to 'get' Zamora." (Hynek suggested this to some Socorro citizens, who discounted the idea.) Years later, Menzel argued that Zamora had misidentified a dust devil. Journalist and prominent UFO skeptic Philip J. Klass first suggested that the Zamora sighting was due to misidentified ball lightning.

"Dust Devil" consists of sandy desert and high-speed straights, which are suited for any vehicle, though many hazards are present, such as stacks of burnt-out vehicles and rocky outcrops. Boost plays a large part in MotorStorm, and is used to either catch up to opponents or pull away from them. Players must keep an eye on their boost meter, which shows how hot their vehicle's engine is. The longer the boost is held on, the hotter the engine becomes.

The surface of Mars has a very low thermal inertia, which means it heats quickly when the sun shines on it. Typical daily temperature swings, away from the polar regions, are around 100 K. On Earth, winds often develop in areas where thermal inertia changes suddenly, such as from sea to land.

Twenty-three tracks were recorded for the album, although fifteen made it on to the album to be released in May. The twelve tracks issued in the digital download leaked onto the internet on 25 December 2008. During concerts in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide at the end of March 2009, Suggs stated that "Dust Devil" would be the second single off the new album; second when accounting for the 2008 release of "NW5". It was released on 11 May, one week before the album.

In 2013 Bowes published the novel/story cycle Dust Devils on a Quiet Street, about a group of writers in New York City before, during, and after 9/11. Dust Devil appeared on the World Fantasy and Lambda Award short lists. The first chapter is his widely reprinted 2005 short story "There's a Hole in the City", which won the 2006 StorySouth Million Writers Award, The International Horror Guild Award and was nominated for a Nebula. "If Angels Fight" won the Novella 2009 World Fantasy Award.

In April 2009, she co-starred with then-boyfriend Alfie Allen in the music video for the Madness single "Dust Devil". She made her catwalk modelling debut in 2008 for Vivienne Westwood, and in February 2009 she appeared on the front cover of Arena. She made her stage debut in a Hampstead Theatre revival of The Fastest Clock in the Universe which also played at the Curve theatre, Leicester. In March 2010, she was announced as a new patron of the East End Film Festival.

Atmospheric instability is a condition where the Earth's atmosphere is generally considered to be unstable and as a result the weather is subjected to a high degree of variability through distance and time.Stability of Air Atmospheric stability is a measure of the atmosphere's tendency to discourage or deter vertical motion, and vertical motion is directly correlated to different types of weather systems and their severity. In unstable conditions, a lifted thing, such as a parcel of air will be warmer than the surrounding air at altitude.

Due to the withdrawal of Palace Pictures, Dust Devil was only shown for one week in one cinema in the United Kingdom before being released to home video. A 94-minute cut was test-screend to a what Mark Kermode of Shivers magazine described as "a poor reaction." A shortened version that was accepted by Miramax was shown in Spain and Portugal under the title Demonica and was also shown at the Avoriaz Film Festival. After Palace lost its money, Stanley persuaded Polygram to have a new version ready which he personally financed with £15,000.

Other contenders included the leading filly Musidora, the French challenger Marveil and the favourite Swallow Tail (third in the Derby). The race was run in brilliant sunshine and attracted what was described as an "enormous" crowd to the Yorkshire course. Starting at odds of 100/7 (just over 14/1), Ridge Wood won the classic by three lengths from Dust Devil, with the American-bred Lone Eagle three-quarters of a length away in third. Ridge Wood's last race was the King George VI Stakes over two miles at Ascot Racecourse in October.

It is 129.0 km in diameter and was named after Canadian physicist John W. Campbell and American astronomer William Wallace Campbell, and the name was approved in 1973 by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) Working Group for Planetary System Nomenclature (WGPSN). Dust devil tracks have been seen in Campbell Crater. Many areas on Mars experience the passage of giant dust devils. These dust devils leave tracks on the surface of Mars because they disturb a thin coating of fine bright dust that covers most of the Martian surface.

Fontana is a crater in the Thaumasia quadrangle of Mars, located at 63.2°S latitude and 72.2°W longitude. It is 80.0 km in diameter and was named after Francesco Fontana, and the name was approved in 1973 by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) Working Group for Planetary System Nomenclature (WGPSN).

Lucky Seven Records were founded by the British band Madness. The launch of this new record label enabled them to release their new material. So far the label has released six Madness singles including "Sorry", "NW5", "Dust Devil", "Sugar and Spice", "Forever Young", "My Girl 2" and the albums The Liberty of Norton Folgate, which returned Madness to the top ten of the UK Albums Chart, Oui Oui Si Si Ja Ja Da Da and Can't Touch Us Now. Lucky Seven Records is not the first Madness Label to be set up.

The height of the wall (1) must be five to thirty times the height of the louvers (3, 5) to retain the vortex in normal wind conditions. To manage safety and wear of the arena (2), the planned maximum speed of the vortex base (33) is near 3 m/s (10 ft/s). The resulting vortex should resemble a large, slow dust-devil of water- mist more than a violent tornado. In uninhabited areas, faster speeds might be permitted so the vortex can survive in faster ambient winds.

On March 9, 2005 (probably during the Martian night), the rover's solar panel efficiency jumped from the original ~60% to 93%, followed on March 10, by the sighting of dust devils. NASA scientists speculate a dust devil must have swept the solar panels clean, possibly significantly extending the duration of the mission. This also marks the first time dust devils had been spotted by Spirit or Opportunity, and is easily one of the top highlights of the mission to date. Dust devils had previously only been photographed by the Pathfinder probe.

Saci-pererê Saci ( ) is a character in Brazilian folklore. He is a one-legged black or mulatto youngster, who smokes a pipe and wears a magical red cap that enables him to disappear and reappear wherever he wishes (usually in the middle of a dust devil). Considered an annoying prankster in most parts of Brazil, and a potentially dangerous and malicious creature in others, he nevertheless grants wishes to anyone who manages to trap him or steal his magic cap. However, his cap is often depicted as having a bad smell.

One can also try to appease him by leaving behind some cachaça, or some tobacco for his pipe. He is fond of juggling embers or other small objects and letting them fall through the holes on his palms. An exceedingly nimble fellow, the lack of his right leg does not prevent him from bareback-riding a horse, and sitting cross-legged while puffing on his pipe (a feat comparable to the Headless Mule's gushing fire from the nostrils). Every dust devil, says the legend, is caused by the spin-dance of an invisible Saci.

However, this did not occur, although original Specials keyboardist Jerry Dammers – who was not part of the reunion line-up – was announced as a support act with The Spatial AKA Orchestra shortly before the festival. Dammers supported Madness again during their 2009 Christmas tour, when he opened each night with a DJ set. Through late March and early April 2009 the band played a series of festival and separate headlining dates across Australia. The lead-up single from their latest album, entitled "Dust Devil", was released on 11 May on Lucky 7 Records.

In November, the band signed with record label Dust Devil Music through Stomp. They recorded their self- titled debut extended play, Airway Lanes, in Sing Sing studios in Melbourne with producer and engineer Jimi Maroudas (Pete Murray and The Living End). It was released on 3 April 2006. Rock journalist, Jeff Jenkins, was impressed with Hall's talent and the "quality pop-rock; catchy songs, with depth" displayed by the EP. A full length album, In Vino Veritas followed on 3 May 2008; its lead single, "Don't Let Go", was chosen as iTunes' 'Single of the Week', when it exceeded 11,000 downloads.

Richard Stanley (pictured) had trouble releasing a proper edit of his film to distributors. Richard Stanley's previous film Hardware was made for £1 million, and grossed over $70 million world-wide. Stanley stated that Hardware was made to prove to producers that he could make a commercial film after finding that he was rejected by producers from his first scripts. Dust Devil was shot entirely on location in Namibia, and re-interprets the story of a South African serial killer known as Nhadiep. The story of Nhadiep had previously been the inspiration for the British film Windprints (1989) by David Wicht.

Subsequently, TRD was chosen to host the first WFTDA Western Regional Tournament in 2007, also called the Dust Devil. This tournament, featuring members of the WFTDA's West Region, determined the four leagues to head to the Texas Shootout WFTDA Championship in Austin, Texas, where they faced off against the top four teams from the East. TRD still hosts this historical annual tournament, now an invitational tournament without Playoff implications, every spring. TRD hosted a WFTDA Division 1 playoff tournament in September 2015 at the Tucson Convention Center, including WFTDA teams from the United States, Canada, and Australia.

One can capture him by throwing into the dust devil a rosary made of separately blessed prayer beads, or by pouncing on it with a sieve. With care, the captured Saci can be coaxed to enter a dark glass bottle, where he can be imprisoned by a cork with a cross marked on it. He can also be enslaved by stealing his cap, which is the source of his power. However, depending on the treatment he gets from his master, an enslaved Saci who regains his freedom may become either a trustworthy guardian and friend, or a devious and terrible enemy.

Texas Rollergirls, represented by the Texecutioners, won the first WFTDA Championships, the "Dust Devil" tournament, in 2006. In 2007, the WFTDA began hosting regional playoffs to qualify for championships, and at the first WFTDA Western Regional Tournament, Texas came in third place with a 111-62 victory over the Kansas City Roller Warriors after losing to Rat City Rollergirls of Seattle. At the 2007 championships in Austin, Texas again was knocked to the third-place game by Rat City, and defeated Carolina Rollergirls 110-46 to claim third place. Texas won the 2008 Western Regional with a 135-49 victory against Bay Area.

Since their formation, the Rhode Island Riveters A team has played in what were once known as the "Big 5" tournaments (WFTDA Playoffs and/or Championships) numerous times. In February 2006, Providence's Rhode Island Riveters, including Dolly Rocket, daSilva Bullet, Shirley Trample, Ratt Scallion and Jailbird Jenny debuted at Dust Devil in February, the first WFTDA Championships. In 2006 Providence defeated the Gotham Girls Roller Derby All-Stars of New York City at the Rhode Island Convention Center that summer. Later in 2006, the Riveters lost to the Carolina Rollergirls at Dorton Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina.

After the mild success of her first album, problems emerged during the recording of her next album from her own label. In 1998, all of the Island Records as well as Polygram Records and other associated labels were purchased by Seagrams, as the various labels now were under the umbrella imprint of UMG, or Universal Music Group, LLC. Although Bonham had recorded a second album for release (in possibly 1998) titled "Trails of a Dust Devil", the new label delayed the release until mid-2000, re-titling it Down Here. The newly titled album – and the only single released from it, "Behind Every Good Woman" – failed to chart.

Angel City (in gold) take on the Carolina Rollergirls at the 2011 Dust Devil tournament Angel City Derby is a women's flat track roller derby league based in Los Angeles, California. Founded in 2006 by a collective of skaters, the league is composed of nearly 200 members divided into four teams who skate on a flat track and compete against teams from the state of California and internationally. The league is skater-owned and operated, "by the skater, for the skater," a volunteer-fueled effort by the women and men in the organization. Angel City is a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA).

Robert McKimson based the character on the real life Tasmanian devil, or more specifically its carnivorous nature, voracious appetite, and surly disposition. Owen and Pemberton suggest that the character of the Tasmanian Devil was inspired by Errol Flynn. The most noticeable resemblance between the Australian marsupial and McKimson's creation is their ravenous appetites and crazed behavior. Although the bipedal Tasmanian Devil's appearance does not resemble its marsupial inspiration, it contains multilayered references to other "devils": he has horn-shaped tufts of fur on his head (similar to the Devil's appearance) and whirls about like a dust devil (similar in appearance to a tornado) which sounds like several motors whirring in unison.

The core of a vortex in air is sometimes visible because water vapor condenses as the low pressure of the core causes adiabatic cooling; the funnel of a tornado is an example. When a vortex line ends at a boundary surface, the reduced pressure may also draw matter from that surface into the core. For example, a dust devil is a column of dust picked up by the core of an air vortex attached to the ground. A vortex that ends at the free surface of a body of water (like the whirlpool that often forms over a bathtub drain) may draw a column of air down the core.

The streaks on the right are sand dunes on the crater floor. Martian dust devils can be up to fifty times as wide and ten times as high as terrestrial dust devils, and large ones may pose a threat to terrestrial technology sent to Mars. On 7 November 2016, five such dust devils ranging in heights of 0.5 to 1.9 km were imaged in a single observation by Mars Orbiter Mission in martian southern hemisphere. Mission members monitoring the Spirit rover on Mars reported on March 12, 2005, that a lucky encounter with a dust devil had cleaned the solar panels of that robot.

Wendy and Dust Devil reach the Fish River Canyon as Wendy's husband Mark, arrives in Namibia and begins his search for her. Joe takes Mukurob to a mountain cave and tells him that the murders are the work of the "naghtloper", a shape-shifting demon who gains power over the material world through ritual murder. Joe explains that the naghtloper must keep moving to work the ritual, but if he is tricked to step over a kierie stick, he will be bound to one spot and his power can be taken. Joe then gives Mukurob a kierie and a sacred root to burn to prevent the naghtloper from possessing him after it is killed.

2006 map showing the first 30 WFTDA member leagues The Gotham Girls All-Stars lost their first inter-league bout in September 2005, against the Dairyland Dolls of Mad Rollin' Dolls of Madison, Wisconsin, 82-72. In February 2006, the All-Stars competed at the first WFTDA-sanctioned roller derby tournament, the Dust Devil, in Tucson, Arizona where they finished in 10th place. The All-Stars are five-time Women's Flat Track Derby Association champions, winning the Hydra trophy from 2011 through 2014. From the introduction of the WFTDA Division system in 2013 through March 2017, Gotham was continuously the top-ranked league in the organization until Victorian Roller Derby League took over top spot.

After seeing Cunningham's work on the 1995 film version of Judge Dredd, Stanley Kubrick head-hunted Cunningham to design and supervise animatronic tests of the central robot child character in his version of the film A.I. Artificial Intelligence. Cunningham worked for over a year on the film before leaving to pursue a career as a director. Earlier work in film included model-making, prosthetic make-up and concept illustrations for Hardware and Dust Devil for director Richard Stanley, work on Nightbreed for Clive Barker, and on Alien3 for David Fincher. Between 1990 and 1992, he contributed the occasional cover painting and strip to Judge Dredd Megazine, working under the pseudonym "Chris Halls"; Halls is his stepfather's surname.

Initially formed as the Tucson extension of the Phoenix-based Arizona Roller Derby, TRD was founded in December 2003 by Kim Kysar (aka Kim Sin) when the Tucson skaters, citing geographical and logistical concerns, broke away from the parent league. By 2006 Tucson Roller Derby was averaging 700-800 fans for home events at Bladeworld, since renamed the Tucson Indoor Sports Center, and still Tucson's home bouting venue as of 2017. Tucson hosted the first-ever WFTDA Championships over the weekend of February 24–26, 2006. Dubbed the "Dust Devil", the event hosted 20 WFTDA leagues from around the United States in a tournament to determine the nation's first-ever WFTDA national champion team.

As distinct from the dust devil, it is improbable that the height reached by the fire gas vortex is greater than the visible height of the vertical flames because of turbulence in the surrounding gases that inhibit creation of a stable boundary layer between the rotating/rising gases relative to the surrounding gases.Wildfire Modeling, IR Observations and Analysis Hot cinders underneath freshly deposited ash in recently burned areas may sometimes generate numerous dust devils. The lighter weight and the darker color of the ash may create dust devils that are visible hundreds of feet into the air. Ash devils form similar to dust devils and are often seen on unstable days in burn scar areas of recent fires.

The band's second album, For Friends in Far Away Places followed in 2006, again being released first in Japan and in Australia a few months later. 2008's Heading North for the Winter was again released in Japan first on (ThisTime Records) and was subsequently released in Spain (Rock Indiana), the UK (Lojinx), the US (Zip Records) and Australia (Dust Devil Music). Their fourth album In Transit was released in Japan (ThisTime Records) in July 2011 and was scheduled to be released in Spain (Rock Indiana) and the US (Zip Records) in September/October 2011, with an Australian release to be confirmed. In support of this album, the band will commence a five-week tour of Japan, Spain, Italy, the UK and the US in September 2011.

These spiraling columns of air frequently develop in tropical areas close to the equator and are less common at high latitudes. Other tornado-like phenomena that exist in nature include the gustnado, dust devil, fire whirl, and steam devil. Tornadoes occur most frequently in North America (particularly in central and southeastern regions of the United States colloquially known as tornado alley), Southern Africa, northwestern and southeast Europe, western and southeastern Australia, New Zealand, Bangladesh and adjacent eastern India, and southeastern South America. Tornadoes can be detected before or as they occur through the use of Pulse-Doppler radar by recognizing patterns in velocity and reflectivity data, such as hook echoes or debris balls, as well as through the efforts of storm spotters.

Following his injury as a juvenile, Persian Heights did not reappear until 8 June 1988 when he started 2/1 second favourite for the Hermitage Stakes over one mile at Newbury Racecourse. He was fourth of the five runners entering the straight but moved up to take the lead approaching the final furlong and drew away to win by four lengths from Dust Devil. Six days after his win at Newbury, Persian Heights was sent to Royal Ascot for the St James's Palace Stakes: it was the 143rd running of the race and the first to be given Group One status. Ridden by Pat Eddery he started the 9/2 joint second favourite behind the Vincent O'Brien-trained Prince of Birds who had won the Irish 2,000 Guineas on his last start.

Both Choronzon and the Abyss are discussed in Crowley's Confessions (ch. 66): > The name of the Dweller in the Abyss is Choronzon, but he is not really an > individual. The Abyss is empty of being; it is filled with all possible > forms, each equally inane, each therefore evil in the only true sense of the > word—that is, meaningless but malignant, in so far as it craves to become > real. These forms swirl senselessly into haphazard heaps like dust devils, > and each such chance aggregation asserts itself to be an individual and > shrieks, "I am I!" though aware all the time that its elements have no true > bond; so that the slightest disturbance dissipates the delusion just as a > horseman, meeting a dust devil, brings it in showers of sand to the > earth.

This artist's concept illustrates an electrically active dust storm on Mars, which may have produced chemicals that caused the inconclusive Viking lander life-detection experiment results. Schiaparelli was aiming to measure atmospheric electricity during the Mars dust storm season. Thirty years later, data from the InSight mission led to an increased interest in the Viking data set, and further analysis may reveal one of the largest collection of Mars dust devil detections. The InSight Mars lander, launched in May 2018, landed on Mars on 26 November 2018 and deployed a seismometer called Seismic Experiment for Interior Structure (SEIS) on 19 December 2018 to search for marsquakes and analyze Mars's internal structure. Even if no seismic events are detected, the seismometer is expected to be sensitive enough to detect possibly several dozen meteors causing airbursts in Mars's atmosphere per year, as well as meteorite impacts. It will also investigate how the Martian crust and mantle respond to the effects of meteorite impacts, which gives clues to the planet's inner structure.

Sin City competed at the first WFTDA Championships, the "Dust Devil" tournament, in 2006, where they finished in 12th place. In 2007, the WFTDA began hosting Regional playoffs to qualify for Championships, and at the first WFTDA Western Regional Tournament, Sin City won their opening round bout against Rose City Rollers or Portland, 95-92, but lost their second round bout to the Texas Rollergirls of Austin, Texas, 121-49. In 2013, Sin City returned to WFTDA Playoff competition, at the newly-created Division 2 level, entering the tournament in Des Moines as the top seed. After opening their weekend with a 299-95 victory over Dallas Derby Devils, Sin City lost their semifinal to Jet City Rollergirls of Everett, Washington, 218-131, and then dropped the third-place game to Treasure Valley Rollergirls of Boise, 184-142 to finish in fourth place.

In 2007, Tucson hosted the first WFTDA Western Regional Tournament, again called the "Dust Devil", and finished in second place with an 83-72 loss to Rat City Rollergirls (Seattle). At that year's championships in Austin, Tucson lost their opening round game to Carolina Rollergirls, 80-73. Tucson finished in tenth place at the 2008 Westerns, ninth in 2009, eighth in 2010, tenth in 2011, and did not qualify for the final Western Regional in 2012. In 2013 the WFTDA restructured playoffs, and under the new divisional model Tucson would have qualified as a Division 2 Playoff team but declined their invitation to participate.

Gaeta went on to be drafted into the camera department of the newly formed Trumbull Company, where he was introduced and educated in a spectrum of innovative film formats such as 48fps VistaVision, 70mm Showscan, IMAX, OMNIMAX and stereo CGI, to create the ambitious simulator Back to the Future: The Ride for Universal Parks & Resorts.
