He remains pastor emeritus at Granger Community Church. Church leaders have named Ted Bryant, who has held various staff positions, as the new pastor and Beeson’s successor. United Methodist Church of Indiana released a statement as of July 12, 2020 that Granger Community Church disaffiliated from the denomination. The church’s Directional Leadership team consists of six staff members.

In 1891, after four years of labor unrest, the two KOL glass blowers' divisions merged to become the United Green Glass Workers' Association of the United States and Canada.McCabe, p. 156.Fones-Wolf, p. 14-15. The glass blowers disaffiliated from the KOL in 1895 and formed a new, independent union, the Glass Bottle Blowers' Association (GBBA) of the United States and Canada.

Alan Clinton, The Trade Union Rank and File: Trades Councils in Britain, 1900-40, p.101 In the 1920s, supporters of the Irish Transport and General Workers' Union left the council to form the Dublin Workers' Council, while supporters of the Workers' Union of Ireland, led by P. T. Daly, dominated the council. They joined the Profintern and disaffiliated from the Labour Party.

Junior also obtained its best record and place just 6 points behind the champion Club España who would go on to dominate the league for the next 20 years. After this, the club disaffiliated from the league. After leaving the league, Junior continued playing tennis (its main sport nowadays) and other sports with football being practised at amateur level only.

The Finnish Police Union disaffiliated in 2016.

In 2013 New York Presbyterian Church disaffiliated with the Korean American Presbyterian Church and in 2014 it affiliated with the PCA, which it has left soon after. The Alliance of Polish Socialists in America was formed as an emigre group, dedicated to making revolution in Poland, rather than the United States. It merged with the Polish Section of the Socialist Party in 1913. It published a daily newspaper in Chicago and two weekly newspapers. It formally disaffiliated from the SPA in 1916, although a minority remained with the party.

Finally, the PSP was able to capture the Pakistan Trade Union Federation from the communists in 1951. Mobarak Sagher became President of PTUF and Khan Vice- President. Once in control of PTUF, the socialists renamed the organisation as Pakistan Mazdoor Federation and disaffiliated the organisation from the World Federation of Trade Unions. The communists moved to reconstitute the PTUF again.

The Argentina national team played its last game at Sportivo Barracas on May 15, 1932, when the side beat Uruguay by 2–0. In 1937, Sportivo Barracas disaffiliated from the Argentine Football Association. The stadium was demolished that year. Previously, the last official game played there was on December 11, 1937, when Sportivo Barracas beat Sportivo Buenos Aires by 4–3.

At the NYSUT convention in New York City that same year, delegates argued over the merits of the disaffiliation resolution. Shanker then delivered a powerhouse speech that galvanized the delegates. The delegates responded by passing a resolution that disaffiliated NYSUT from NEA. Shanker and Hobart had, however, ignored a key provision in the merger agreement approved by both NEA and AFT.

The workers struck and won a contract—the first union contract for workers at a Chinese restaurant in New York City. Unhappy with HERE, however, the workers disaffiliated in 1980 and formed the Chinese Staff and Workers' Association. The former HERE affiliate, Local 318 Restaurant Workers Union, became part of CSWA.Day, "New Ways of Organizing in Manhattan," Z Magazine, March 1993.

In 2009 the NLC was accused of bullying, was forcibly disaffiliated from the NUS, and recognition has been refused by the University of New South Wales and the University of Sydney. Later in 2009 other international student groups, the Australian Federation of International Students and the Federation of Indian Students of Australia claimed that the NLC had made legal threats regarding their operation in Victoria.

The following year Jowett and the Independent Labour Party disaffiliated from the Labour Party. Jowett stood again in Bradford East in 1935, this time as an ILP candidate, facing a Labour Party opponent, Wilfred Heywood. Conservative Future branches varied in structure. However, three Teamster locals in the city—the truck, ice wagon, and coal wagon drivers, which together represented about half the Teamster membership in Chicago—refused to violate their contracts and walk off the job. The three locals went even further, and disaffiliated from the Teamsters Joint Council of Chicago. Furious, Shea called them "cowards and traitors".

The state party carried that name until it disaffiliated from the national party in 2000 due to factional dissent and the increasing influence of Pat Buchanan within the party. The party immediately changed its name back to Independence Party. After his most influential opponents left the party, Buchanan went on to become the Reform Party's candidate for president. The strike lasted into 1887, and the eastern District 149 glass blowers—angry over the employer- friendly stand taken by the western district—disaffiliated from the KOL. Employers instituted a lockout against the eastern workers. At an employer- union conference in 1887, a compromise was reached. The union not only won agreement on the apprentice issue but also an industry-wide agreement setting uniform wages and work rules.

When the American Federation of Labor (AFL) ruled in favor of the GBBA, the AFGWU disaffiliated from the AFL on January 30, 1903. As an independent union, the AFGWU tried to organize these workers but lacked the support and protection which the national trade union center gave the GBBA. The AFGWU reaffiliated with the AFL October 21, 1912, after renouncing its claims to bottle and fruit jar workers.Fink, p. 128.

In January 2018, network was sold to Captender LLC with master control moved to Lufkin Texas. The network's social media ceased being updated shortly after the sale. In 1895, the UHT became a member of the SLP sponsored Socialist Trade and Labor Alliance, becoming "District Alliance 2" in February 1896. Some of its constituent unions, however, were still affiliated with the American Federation of Labor and splintered to become the Federated Hebrew Trades of Greater New York in September 1897. CFLM-FM is a French-language Canadian radio station located in La Tuque, Quebec. Owned and operated by Radio Haute-Mauricie, it broadcasts on 97.1 MHz with power of 18,230 watts (maximum ERP of 32,000 watts) as a class B station. The station has an adult contemporary format and identifies itself as CFLM 97.1. Formerly an affiliate of the Première Chaîne radio network, the station was disaffiliated in 2002.

The most important membership changes, however, occurred in 1968. In December 2019, the C.D. Veracruz was disaffiliated from Liga MX, so initiatives began to emerge to occupy the space left by that club. In May 2020, the Liga de Balompié Mexicano confirmed its fifth founding franchise, named Club Veracruzano de Fútbol Tiburón. On the next day, Diego Bartolotta was named as club president. Finally, on June 14, 2020 Gustavo Matosas was appointed as the club sports president.

The group claims four congregations, all in Texas. Another offshoot, the National Association of Wesleyan Evangelicals, is composed of five former Southern District EMC churches. It was formed in the wake of the consolidation of EMC districts in 2010 and legally binding arbitration regarding their desire to leave the denomination. These churches were disaffiliated by the General Council following the settlement of the local churches' remaining obligations to the conference.

Kelowna's CHBC and Kamloops's CFJC, the latter owned by the Jim Pattison Group, also disaffiliated from the CBC in February 2006 and joined CH. Although CFJC was not owned by Canwest, its joint sales agreement with CHBC necessitated its affiliation switch. With a replacement brand for CH expected in the near future, both CHBC and CFJC maintained their own local identities for the remainder of the "CH" era.

Many Puritan descendants also dispersed to other Protestant denominations. Some disaffiliated along with Roman Catholics and other Christian groups in the wake of modern secularization. Today, Christians make up 57% of the state's population, with Protestants making up 21% of them. Roman Catholics make up 34% and now predominate because of massive immigration from primarily Catholic countries and regions—chiefly Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Quebec, and Latin America.

The United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW) is a labor union representing approximately 1.3 million workers in the United States and Canada in industries including retail; meatpacking, food processing and manufacturing; hospitality; agriculture; cannabis; chemical trades; security; textile, and health care. UFCW is affiliated with the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) and the AFL-CIO; it disaffiliated from the AFL-CIO in 2005 but reaffiliated in 2013.

The new combined facility at the Edmonton City Centre totals . At the same time, master control was consolidated with those of CBRT in Calgary into a single facility presently based at the CBC Studios in Calgary. When Red Deer's CKRD disaffiliated from CBC Television in 2005 (switching to E!, reverting to its original calls CHCA-TV), CBXT was given control of the transmitter in Coronation, Alberta (CKRD-1) on channel 10.

OULC is affiliated with Labour Students, and former OULC members have held a number of positions there. In February 2011, OULC disaffiliated from Labour Students for a one-year period as a protest over the way the organisation was run. In February 2012, OULC voted by 20 to 4 to rejoin Labour Students citing the progress made by the leadership of the organisation in improving accountability and democracy.

1912 was an extremely unfortunate for Rosarian football with most of the matches being interrupted due to aggressions towards the referees, teams that left the field and doubtful regulatory decisions taken by Liga Rosarina. As a result, all the championships were suspended indefinitely. The first club that disaffiliated from the league was Club Atlético Sparta,"Club Atlético Sparta - Reseña" on RosarioFutbol.com while Tiro Federal was expelled from the association.

Arsenal did not have successful campaigns in the Primera C and the team was relegated again in 1958. After disputing 14 fixtures of the 1959 championship, Arsenal was disaffiliated from the Football Association due to a conflict with club's president Díaz, who was accused by the Association of forging AFA president Daniel Colombo's signature to transfer players outside Argentina. The team did not play again officially until 1962.

Presbyterian church in Brazil is a member church of the World Reformed Fellowship.www.wrfnet.org/web/guest/aboutwrf/membershiplist The PCB does not belong to the World Communion of Reformed Churches. The IPB suspended its membership of the World Alliance of Reformed Churches in 1973, but in 1998 it reactivated its membership. In 2006 the Presbyterian Church in Brazil disaffiliated from the World Alliance of Reformed Churches due to theological differences.

The Carpenters disaffiliated from the AFL-CIO in 2001, citing complaints about the National Federation's failure to follow up on its program to organize the unorganized. Other observers attributed the Carpenters' departure to its unhappiness with jurisdictional awards and other restrictions on its ability to raid the jurisdictions of other unions, as well as the AFL-CIO's uncritical and exclusive support of the Democratic Party. Even after it left the federation, however, the Carpenters formed a temporary alliance, the New Unity Partnership in 2003 and the Change to Win Coalition with other unions — including SEIU, UNITE HERE, and the Laborers — to force the AFL-CIO to consider basic structural changes in order to facilitate organizing. In the summer of 2009, the United Brotherhood of Carpenters disaffiliated from Change to Win after the other affiliates in the Change to Win Coalition demanded the Carpenters cease raiding other Union's membership and allow Carpenter members basic democratic rights.

In 2000 the reputation of Japanese archaeology of the Paleolithic was heavily damaged by a scandal, which has become known as the Japanese Paleolithic hoax. The Mainichi Shimbun reported the photos in which Shinichi Fujimura, an archaeologist in Miyagi Prefecture, had been planting artifacts at the Kamitakamori site, where he "found" the artifacts the next day. He admitted the fabrication in an interview with the newspaper. The Japanese Archaeological Association disaffiliated Fujimura from its members.

Most university sport is organised by the Adelaide University Sports Association (AUSA). The Sports Association was founded in 1896 by the Adelaide University Boat, Tennis and Lacrosse Clubs. The Association disaffiliated from the Adelaide University Union (AUU) on 1 January 2010 and is currently directly affiliated to the University of Adelaide. The AUSA supports 37 sporting clubs which provide a diverse range of sporting opportunities to students of the University of Adelaide (AU).

In July 1912, Gimnasia y Esgrima de Buenos Aires disaffiliated from the Argentine Football Association (AFA), founding the Federación Argentina de Football (FAF) presided by Ricardo Aldao. Recently promoted teams Porteño and Estudiantes (LP) joined the new league, among other clubs. 1912 was the inaugural season of the dissident FAF league. This tournament was contested by 3 dissident teams from the AFA: Estudiantes de La Plata, Gimnasia y Esgrima (BA) and Porteño.

But lacking the protection of the NLRA and constantly fending off raids from affiliates of the CIO and the American Federation of Labor (affiliates whose leaders were eager to sign the oath), the ACA shrank rapidly.Estey, The Unions: Structure, Development, and Management, 1981, p. 34. Several of its divisions (including the old ARTA department) had disaffiliated and the union shrank to fewer than 2,000 members. It merged with the Teamsters in 1966.

The Synod of the Sun of the Presbyterian Church USA serves Houston. The denomination's flagship First Presbyterian Church is a conservative congregation that disaffiliated from the larger body in 2016 and affiliated with ECO. The Presbyterian Church in America also has their own Houston Metro Presbytery, including the congregation of Christ the King Presbyterian Church in east Spring Branch. Other Presbyterian denominations in Houston include the EPC, OPC, and, more recently, ECO.

In 1950, the company disaffiliated under the name Spolana. Over time, additional chemical plants in Křinec, Kralupy nad Vltavou (Reagencie) were incorporated into Spolana. In the mid-1960s, the production of laboratory chemicals was separated off into a new company, Lachema Neratovice. All of the on-going operations were modernised and extended: a new plant producing sulphuric acid from pyrite, a glue plant processing keratin, and a wastewater treatment plant were built.

Also, in November 2013 Gonville and Caius College disaffiliated following a referendum which saw a result of 213 votes for disaffiliation and 91 votes against. In 2015 the University had to give CUSU a £100,000 bailout, but incumbent President Priscilla Mensah denied that this was due to financial mismanagement. In 2019, CUSU presented a surplus budget, ending what the Union described as “a few difficult years in recent history” with regards to its financial situation.

In 2016, the Central Government, on the advice of the University Grants Committee (UGC), declared that the Central Institute of Buddhist Studies (CIBS), Choglamsar, Leh (Ladakh) was ‘deemed to be university’ for the purpose of the UGC Act, 1956, but provisionally for a period of five years under the de novo category, from the date the CIBS disaffiliated its courses / programmes from Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi and the Tibetan Medicine and Astrology Department, Dharamsala.

In 1994, Channel Six Petersburg (owned by then-current CTC Media StoryFirst Communications) began expanded outside St. Petersburg. Some local stations began rebroadcast that station: Telesphere (Krasnoyarsk), AMTV (Moscow), Zenit (Oryol), TSM Channel 10 (Novobirisk, have been rebroadcast since the launch in 1991 but disaffiliated in 1995). In December 1996, AMTV went into financial crisis, most of founders had left. It later joins StoryFirst Communications (at that time owned some regional TV in Russia).

Between 1984 and 1999, CHUM Limited expanded into many new television holdings such as MuchMusic, Star!, Space, Bravo!, CP24, SexTV: The Channel, FashionTelevisionChannel, Canadian Learning Television, and many others. In September 1995, CKVR disaffiliated from the CBC after 30 years, and was re-launched as an independent station with a more youthful image in order to generate interest from viewers in the neighbouring Toronto market, where CKVR had long been available on basic cable.

For example, it began advocating for a formal federal job classification system and uniform rates of compensation in 1919. These efforts paid off: The same year, Congress established the Joint Congressional Committee on the Reclassification of Salaries. In 1923, NFFE won passage of the Classification Act, which established uniform, nationwide compensation levels and tied them to the duties and responsibilities of job positions. In 1931, NFFE disaffiliated from the American Federation of Labor.

When WPFO and WFVX-LD affiliated with Fox, Foxnet was relegated to the Presque Isle area, which was one of the last few areas to not have a Fox affiliate of its own. A similar situation happened in southwestern Mississippi when WDBD initially disaffiliated from the network at that time also to join The WB; WDBD would eventually reaffiliate with the network in 2006, taking the affiliation from WLOO (which signed on in September 2003).

In 2018, local groups in Shelby, North Carolina, Portland, Oregon and Asheville and Boone, North Carolina disaffiliated from the national network. The group focuses on anti-racist organizing among white poor and working-class people, although members are not exclusively white. For instance, around 30 percent are people of color. In May 2018, a member said that at least one third of the group's membership were women, people of color or non-binary people.

West Nottingham Academy, founded by Presbyterian Rev. Samuel Finley in 1744, educated Benjamin Rush and Richard Stockton, both of whom signed the Declaration of Independence, and still operates today (though disaffiliated from the Presbyterian church and with additional buildings). The Principio Furnace, founded in 1719, became an important exporter of pig iron. During the American Revolution both British and colonial troops traveled through Cecil County, although no major battles occurred within its borders.

The channel is simulcast on WIRS digital channel 42.1, and is carried on Liberty channel 41, Claro TV channel 10 and Dish Network channel 7. On November 12, 2016, WIRS was disaffiliated with Teveo and switched to the Sonlife Broadcasting Network, a religious television network, owned by televangelist Jimmy Swaggart, which was seen on W26DK-D channel 25.2 in San Juan, W31DL-D channel 36.2 in Ponce and W51DJ-D channel 51.2 in Mayaguez.

The College of Fisheries, Panangad, Kochi, and the Fisheries Research Station, Puthuvype, were disaffiliated from Kerala Agricultural University to form KUFOS which started functioning on 1 April 2011. It is the primary instrument of Kerala state in providing human resources, skills and technology required for the sustainable development of fisheries and the ocean.

Later, four Rosario Central players were called up to play for a Rosarian combined team that would play Uruguay national team, they were Serapio Acosta, Ignacio Rota, Harry Hayes and Pablo Molina. Nevertheless, all of them refused to play the match alleging that teammate Zenón Díaz had not been called-up. After their decision, the Liga Rosarina banned the four players, considering them "rebels". In response to that, Rosario Central disaffiliated from the body.

One year later Del Plata made its best campaign in Primera, finishing 2nd after champion Huracán with 12 wins and only 2 losses within 18 games played. Since 1927, the club played in the second division until it was disaffiliated by the Football Association in 1932. Del Plata was dissolved in 1947, although the institution would be re- established in the 1960s, remaining active until the decade of the 1990s when it was definitely closed.

In 1931 Brockway lost his seat and the following year he disaffiliated from the Labour Party along with the rest of the ILP. He stood unsuccessfully for the ILP in the 1934 West Ham by- election and in Norwich in the 1935 election. The ILP were opposed to British participation in the Second World War, a position that Brockway did not share, though he served as Chair of the Central Board for Conscientious objectors.

Delta Upsilon's first Harvard chapter revolted, disaffiliated, and ultimately merged with the Fly Club, whose clubhouse is pictured. A more recent colonization attempt proved similarly disastrous. When the fraternity incorporated in 1909 it adopted a new constitution. The Harvard chapter immediately set-forth its views that the new constitution had been illegitimately enacted and had overly vested control in the professional leadership, undermining the ability of the chapters to democratically express themselves.

The union's finances were significant affected by the disaffiliations, forcing members to raise dues to cover a budget shortfall. Rieve claimed that only 12,500 members had disaffiliated, but admitted that the union's membership had fallen by 400,000 as it defended itself from raids rather than organized new members.Stetson, "Rieve Lists Woes of Textile Union," New York Times, May 4, 1952. The secession movement in the TWUA in 1952 aided in the merger between the AFL and CIO in 1955.

Uruguay Montevideo Football Club is a football club from Montevideo in Uruguay. The club were disaffiliated from the second professional division of the Uruguayan Football Association in 2007 and re-entered the league for 2008-2009 at the third level, which is the bottom and the only amateur level of the league's pyramid, named the Segunda División Amateur. The club got their name from two ships from the Uruguayan Navy, called Destructor Uruguay and Destructor Montevideo.

All India Kashmiri Samaj is an independent organisation, a federal setup, constituting affiliated units throughout the globe. Kashmiri Samiti was one of the affiliated unit a few years back and disaffiliated because of certain reasons. The role of the Samaj was to create a nationwide awareness campaign about the communal violence against the pandits of Kashmir. The AIKS has also been campaigning for adequate representation of Kashmiri Pandit community in state legislation and civic bodies of Jammu and Kashmir.

Tobacco Workers' Union, The Tobacco Workers' Union, 1834-1984 In 1925, the association became an industrial union, admitting all workers in the tobacco industry, including women, and adopted its final name. However, the following year, it was disaffiliated from the Trades Union Congress after other unions complained that it was poaching their members. It rejoined only in 1941.University of Warwick, "Tobacco Workers' Union" In 1946, the union merged with the rival National Cigar and Tobacco Workers' Union.

The turnout for the Republican primary was the largest in Rhode Island history. In his victory speech, Chafee credited independent voters and disaffiliated Democrats for his victory. Despite Chafee's high approval ratings statewide, the state had tended to lean heavily toward socially liberal or moderate candidates for many decades. As a result, Democrat Sheldon Whitehouse succeeded by attacking the instances in which Chafee supported his party's conservative congressional leadership (whose personalities and policies were very unpopular statewide).

Ventura invited Trump to run for the presidential nomination of the Independence Party, which Ventura believed could become a national entity. At the party's next meeting, it disaffiliated. Trump considered Ventura's invitation but had concerns, particularly the question of whether other state parties would affiliate with the new party. Minnesota political scientist Steve Schier doubted the party could become a national entity, arguing that it was far too small to make an impact on the national level.

Beth Tikvah Synagogue is an egalitarian synagogue in the Willowdale neighbourhood of Toronto, with a membership of approximately 1100 families. Although the worship style is traditional-conservative, the synagogue formally disaffiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism in 2013. The synagogue was founded on April 14, 1964 as Shaarei Tikvah, after a synagogue in Amsterdam that had been razed by the Nazis. It became Beth Tikvah after a merger in 1966 with the Bayview Synagogue Association.

The union also waged a successful campaign for workers compensation in the fishing industry with a law being passed by the House of Assembly in 1981. In 1987, the union disaffiliated from the United Food and Commercial Workers and joined the Canadian Auto Workers., In 2012 the Canadian Auto Workers merged with Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada to form Unifor. In 1994, after 23 years as president, Richard Cashin stepped down and was succeeded by Earle McCurdy.

The protests achieved two of their stated goals. Columbia disaffiliated from the IDA and scrapped the plans for the controversial gym, building a subterranean physical fitness center under the north end of campus instead. A popular myth states that the gym's plans were eventually used by Princeton University for the expansion of its athletic facilities, but as Jadwin Gymnasium was already 50% complete by 1966 (when the Columbia gym was announced) this was clearly not correct.Hevesi, Dennis.

In 2006, the Constitution Party of Oregon disaffiliated with the national Constitution Party over disagreements regarding abortion policy. However, despite disaffiliating the Constitution Party of Oregon gave its presidential nomination to Baldwin during the 2008 presidential election. During the 2012 presidential election the party attempted to give its presidential nomination to Ron Paul, but he rejected it and Will Christensen was given the nomination instead. In 2013, the Constitution Party of Oregon affiliated with the Independent American Party.

Before that, it was a simulcast of KLTX 1390 AM, airing Christian teaching shows (such as Through the Bible) and Michael Reagan's talk show. It was also the play-by-play home of the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes of the California League of minor-league baseball in 2000 and carried some high school football games as well. By 2019, the station had disaffiliated from Radio Nueva Vida, but continued to air a Spanish language Christian format as Radio Inspiración.

Twin Cities Area New Party. In 1997, the Court, in a 6-3 decision, upheld the Minnesota ban on cross-endorsing candidates, rejecting the New Party's argument that electoral fusion was a right protected by the First Amendment's freedom of association clause. After the Timmons case, the New Party quickly declined and several chapters disaffiliated. Perhaps the only and certainly the most successful surviving local chapter, known as Progressive Dane, remains active and relevant in Dane County, Wisconsin.

When football became professional in Argentina, Buenos Aires continued its tenure on the amateur league which lasted until 1934, when the AAF merged with the professional league. Sportivo Buenos Aires was relegated to the second division as well as all teams that took part in the AAF. The team continued to play in the second division until 1939 when it was relegated to the third division. Buenos Aires remained there until 1941 when the club disaffiliated from the Association.

It stated that disaffiliation from either national group, within a five-year period of the 1972 merger, would obligate NYSUT to pay "liquidated damages" to the national organization from which NYSUT disaffiliated. NYSUT was ultimately required to pay NEA a multi- million dollar settlement. NEA responded to the disaffiliation move by setting up a rival state organization, the New York Education Association (NYEA). The NEA believed that many NYSUT locals, with at least 50,000 members, would leave the organization.

CUCA is principally a political events association, holding regular speaker meetings, social events and debates. In recent years, CUCA has attempted to play a larger part in Cambridge University-wide politics. Members of CUCA have stood for election as Presidents of the Cambridge University Students' Union (CUSU) in recent years, whilst CUCA itself has lobbied CUSU Council directly. The Association remains disaffiliated from the national Conservative Party, and has instead pitched itself as a bastion of philosophical conservatism for members of Cambridge University.

In all of these cases, the party's presidential nominee drew in between one third and one half of one percent of the popular vote. In 2000, the Arizona Libertarian Party, which had been disaffiliated from the national organization in late 1999, but which controlled the Libertarian ballot line in that state, nominated science fiction author L. Neil Smith and newspaperman Vin Suprynowicz, rather than Browne and Olivier, as its presidential slate. Smith and Suprynowicz polled 5,775 votes (0.38%) in Arizona.

In 1900, representatives of various trade unions and of the Independent Labour Party, Fabian Society and Social Democratic Federation agreed to form a Labour Party backed by the unions and with its own whips. The Labour Representation Committee was founded with Keir Hardie as its leader. At the 1900 general election, the LRC won only two seats, and the SDF disaffiliated, but more unions signed up. The LRC affiliated to the Socialist International and in 1906 changed its name to The Labour Party.

The Convocation of Anglicans in North America (CANA) is a missionary body of the Church of Nigeria. It is in a ministry partnership with the Anglican Church in North America but no longer affiliated with it in any way. Founded in 2005, it is composed primarily of churches that have disaffiliated from the Episcopal Church in the United States of America (ECUSA). CANA was initially a missionary initiative of the Anglican Church of Nigeria for Nigerians living in the United States.

Piraña did not make a good campaign in Primera C: over 38 matches played, Piraña only won 2, losing 29 with 2 draws. The team (which also conceded 115 goals) was relegated to Primera D. Piraña did another bad campaign in the lowest division, where only won 3 games and lost 17, with only 14 goals scored. That same year Piraña disaffiliated from the Football Association. In successive years, club's facilities were almost abandoned and it was about to be closed in 2015.

However, the station's carriage in Ottawa was also deemed essential to its survival, since Pembroke was too small a market to support the station on its own. Therefore, CHRO disaffiliated from the CBC, and became a CTV affiliate. The Canadian Radio- television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) also ordered strict controls on CHRO's programming, so that Baton could not gain unfair audience advantage in Ottawa by airing shows at different times on CHRO and CJOH. Baton eventually became the sole corporate proprietor of CTV.

At one point in time, CHEK used the same Pacific dogwood logo as CHAN, but later reverted to using its own logo. CHEK logo used from 1976 to 1978. Beginning around the 1978–79 television season, CHEK gradually added more CTV programs during the prime time hours (which were timeshifted from their airings on CHAN). On January 5, 1981, when CBUT launched repeater stations in Sooke and Mount Macdonald, CHEK disaffiliated from CBC and became a full-time CTV station.

In reaction to alleged Communist involvement, the United Farmers of Ontario disaffiliated from the CCF. Mitchell unofficially led the Ontario CCF during the 1934 and conducted a province-wide tour ding the 1937 election campaign but failed to win a seat in the Legislature. He continued as party president until 1941. Graham Spry, a publisher and broadcaster who was also a member of the LSR, served as the Ontario CCF's vice-president of its provincial council from 1934 to 1936.

When that faction lost in its bid to defeat the radical Declaration of Principles adopted in Detroit in referendum balloting of the SP's rank and file, the more conservative Party members broke away to form the Social Democratic Federation. McLevy joined them and disaffiliated his state party from the national Socialists. This caused friction between McLevy and other local Socialists who stayed with the party, including journalist Devere Allen, a close associate of party leader Norman Thomas, and state representative Jack Bergen.

XII, pp.72-76 Douthwaite soon became secretary of the ILP's branch in Romiley, and by the late 1900s was active at the national level. He supported Victor Grayson at the 1907 Colne Valley by-election and, like Grayson, launched attacks on the ILP leadership. He proposed that the ILP disaffiliated from the Labour Party, but this motion was heavily defeated at the 1909 ILP Conference; his proposal that the ILP should back independent socialist candidates was defeated much more narrowly.

The break was over a failure of the AFL to settle a jurisdictional dispute between IAM and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America as well as the Amalgamated Association of Street and Electric Railway Employees of America. IAM disaffiliated with the AFL in 1945. In 1947 Congress passed the Taft Hartley Act, officially known as the Labor-Management Relations Act, which placed restrictions on union activities. This act also contained provisions that made closed shops illegal and outlawed boycotts.

The Argentine Association rejected representatives from the clubs Estudiantil Porteño, Independiente, Platense, Racing, River Plate and Tigre. As those teams maintained their position, the Association disaffiliated them temporarily. Meanwhile, other seven clubs, Atlanta, Defensores de Belgrano, Estudiantes (BA), Gimnasia y Esgrima (LP), San Isidro, San Lorenzo and Sportivo Barracas expressed their solidarity with the suspended clubs therefore the association directly expelled them from the body. With only 10 fixtures played, the championship was suspended and all the matches played until then were annulled.

The Church of the Holy Cross is a historic Anglican church at 335 North Kings Highway in Stateburg, South Carolina. Built in 1850-52 to a design by noted South Carolina architect Edward C. Jones, it is a notable example of rammed earth construction with relatively high style Gothic Revival styling. It was designated a National Historic Landmark for its architecture in 1973. In 2013, the Church of the Holy Cross disaffiliated with the Episcopal Church and realigned with the Anglican denomination.

The union drastically shifted ideological direction throughout its history. In the 1940s, it had a significant communist influence, with high-profile figures like Jack Hughes holding key union offices. In the early 1950s, the union was successfully targeted and taken over by the conservative Industrial Groups, which subsequently played a role in the Australian Labor Party split of 1955, and the union was one of four unions disaffiliated from the Australian Labor Party. It was a key right-wing union for decades afterwards.

Since 1975, the shrine has continued to operate, but has disaffiliated from the Roman Catholic Church, and affiliated instead with an Old Catholic, conservative independent organization. The shrine runs a private primary school, established in 1982, and a visitor center. Believers are building a new "House of Prayer" at the spot of the visions. Seven Sorrows of Our Sorrowful Mother's Home for Unwanted Infants - The name of the orphanage that used to be run by this community in the 1970s.

The National Union of Labour and Socialist Clubs (NULSC) is the federation representing Labour Social Clubs in Great Britain, and is a socialist society affiliated to the UK Labour Party. At present a relatively small number of these clubs (approximately 50) affiliate to the NULSC. This is because many were already affiliated to the Working Men's Club and Institute Union (CIU). In recent years many Labour Clubs have disaffiliated from the NULSC because of discontent about how social clubs are perceived.

When built, the area that is now Burlington was still part of Woburn, and this church was the second, built to serve what is now Burlington. It was the site in 1775 of some critical meetings, both military and political, of Patriots in the American Revolutionary War. The church served as a parish of Massachusetts' state funded church until the churches were disaffiliated from the state government in the early nineteenth century. The meeting house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

The final positions of the tournament were: Defensores de Almagro (champion, promoted to Primera C) 21 points; Sportivo Barracas 16, Central Argentino 15, Piraña and Deportivo Merlo 14, Porteño Athletic Club 13, Acassuso 11 and Villa San Carlos 8. In 1971 Defensores de Almagro played at Primera C, where the team did not make a good performance and was relegated to the lowest division again. Soon after, the club disaffiliated from the Argentine Football Association and never returned to play any tournament organized by the AFA.

In May 2000, the United Transportation Union disaffiliated from the AFL-CIO over a jurisdictional dispute. It was followed in April 2001 by the Carpenters union, which claimed that Sweeney's organizing efforts had failed and that the AFL-CIO structure must be abandoned. Despite substantial investment in politics, the AFL-CIO had not succeeded in restoring the Democrats to a majority in the U.S. House of Representatives.

As well, Baton reaffiliated CHRO with CTV. Baton eventually became the sole corporate proprietor of CTV, making the MCTV stations fully owned and operated stations of the network, and sold CHRO to CHUM Limited in 1998; at the time CHUM acquired CHRO, it disaffiliated from CTV and became an independent station for a short time before joining the NewNet system (now CTV 2). Baton retained the CBC twinsticks until 2002, when it sold them to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation."CBC takes over MCTV transmitter".

NT via WCVB-TV from Boston or WXYZ-TV from Detroit) and may hence be indicated as a "world premiere", although WLS-TV in Chicago, where Oprah was based, aired the program at 9:00 a.m. CT (11:30 a.m. NT). NTV disaffiliated from CTV in 2002 in a dispute over affiliation terms. For most of its tenure as a CTV affiliate, NTV had aired the base 40-hour block of CTV programming, including national advertising, essentially for free since CTV paid NTV for the airtime.

For several weeks thereafter speakers for the campaign—Jimmie Maxton, Fenner Brockway, Harry Pollitt, Nye Bevan, Ellen Wilkinson, Stafford Cripps, Barbara Betts, Bill Mellor and Michael Foot—spoke at meetings up and down the country. The Labour Party, however, regarded this as yet another form of "entry-ism" by the Communist Party and on 27 January 1937 it disaffiliated the League, giving its members until June to quit either the Labour Party or the League.Martineau (2000), p. 55. The League dissolved itself in May 1937.

Thoms expressed his interest in obtaining a cable television franchise for the Asheville area throughout the mid-1960s, being the first to file for the rights in 1964 and challenging city council decisions that would have granted the franchise to other applicants. Thoms backed a successful referendum to win the franchise in July 1967. When the system finally launched in 1968, it brought signals from NBC affiliates WFBC-TV in Greenville, South Carolina, and WCYB-TV in Bristol, Tennessee. At that time, WANC-TV disaffiliated from NBC.

Over the next 20 years, both the AFL and CIO would lose member unions. The AFL would purge some member unions for advocating industrial unionism (notably the United Auto Workers and the United Rubber Workers) or for supporting political philosophies it felt were antithetical to its purposes. It also reaffiliated some unions which had joined the CIO. The CIO, for its part, expelled a number of unions in 1948 after concluding they had become infiltrated by Communists (at least one additional union disaffiliated rather than be expelled).

Beth Israel was Orthodox from its founding, but ended the traditional practice of separate seating for men and women just before its move to its Church Street building in 1961. It did, however, hire an Orthodox rabbi in 1961, and did not hire a Conservative rabbi in until 1969, when it affiliated with Conservative Judaism. Beth Israel began counting women towards the minyan in the late 1970s. In 1995, the congregation disaffiliated from the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism and remained unaffiliated for five years.

On November 4 of that year, KOKH-TV launched a digital subchannel on virtual channel 25.2 to serve as an affiliate of The Country Network; ZUUS Country was replaced by Grit on December 31, 2014, as part of a multi-station affiliation agreement between Sinclair Broadcast Group and network parent Katz Broadcasting. On February 28, 2017, KOKH-DT2 disaffiliated from Grit to become a charter outlet of the similarly formatted Charge!, a movie-focused action-adventure network owned as a joint venture between Sinclair and MGM Television.

In 1945, when NCYI bought its headquarters building on West 16th Street, it also fostered the development of new branch synagogue on site, The Young Israel of Fifth Avenue. This became a point of contention over 50 years later, when NCYI sold the building. Eventually, due to this rift, the synagogue disaffiliated with Young Israel, and is now known as the Sixteenth Street Synagogue. As of 2013, it does not have its own quarters, and other area synagogues host prayer services that 16th Street members attend.

The RLEA's importance in national labor affairs fell along with the significant decline of the railway industry in the national economy. The organization was also roiled by internal dissent and disaffiliations. In the late 1940s, the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, and the Order of Railway Conductors all quit the organization in disputes over various issues in collective bargaining and political action. In 1950, the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen disaffiliated from the RLEA, and did not rejoin it until December 1954.

In March 2006, the largest Cambridge college students' union, Trinity College Students' Union voted to disaffiliate from CUSU for the academic year 2006/2007. Several other colleges were reported to be also considering the option. Trinity College Students' Union reaffiliated in early 2007, following re-engagement work by the incumbent sabbatical officers. On 14 November 2010, both the JCR and MCR of Corpus Christi College disaffiliated, following a college-wide ballot in which 71% of undergraduates and 86% of postgraduates voted in favour of disaffiliation.

Finally, the group that managed Mandiyú sold the club to Romero Ferix for the price of $1. Romero Ferix decided that huracán de Corrientes plays the second league instead of Mandiyú because Huracán de Corrientes already has an stadium, Mandiyú was disaffiliated from the Liga Correntina. Huracán Corrientes filled the vacant place left by Mandiyú, promoting to Primera División after winning the Nacional B championship. In 1998, a group of former managers and fans of Mandiyú decided to form a new club, originally named "Deportivo Textil".

The WWF Women's Championship is descended from the original NWA World Women's Championship of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), which is still active today. In 1983, the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) disaffiliated with the NWA and recognized then-NWA World Women's Champion The Fabulous Moolah as the promotion's Women's Champion.

The Belfast Labour Party (BLP) was founded in 1917, and the ILP worked closely with it. When the BLP became the Northern Ireland Labour Party (NILP), most ILP members in the city joined, while retaining their ILP membership. This continued until 1932, when the British ILP disaffiliated from the British Labour Party. The national leadership wished the Belfast branches to similarly disaffiliate from the NILP, but members rejected the idea, and instead split from the ILP to form the Socialist Party of Northern Ireland.

1921 In the 1920s, Clarke joined the Independent Labour Party (ILP) and was elected to the Glasgow Corporation. He was also made a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland. He was elected as the Labour Party MP for Glasgow Maryhill at the 1929 general election, and spent much of his time in Parliament writing humorous epitaphs for political opponents, including Ramsay MacDonald. He lost his seat at the 1931 general election and left the ILP in 1932 when it disaffiliated from the Labour Party.

Maynooth Students' Union (MSU; ) is the students' union which represents the students of the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, St Patrick's College, Maynooth and their associated campuses across Ireland (such as the Froebel College of Education). Maynooth Students' Union is a constituent organisation of the Union of Students in Ireland it rejoined the USI in 2009DCU students reject chance to rejoin USI Irish Independent, November 13, 2010. after it had disaffiliated from it in 2001.NUIM students vote to rejoin USI University Observer, February 28, 2010.

Télévision de Québec was a consortium of cinema chain Famous Players and Quebec City's three privately owned radio stations, CHRC, CKCV and CJQC. It immediately became Quebec City's CBC Television affiliate, taking all English-language programming from CFCM. In 1964, following the opening of CBVT, CFCM disaffiliated from Radio-Canada (the French-language arm of the CBC) and joined the loose association of independent stations that evolved into TVA, while CKMI remained with CBC. MI-5 logo, used in 1980s while the station was still a CBC affiliate.

WWCS transmitter site, just off I-79 behind Southpointe Industrial Park. Following ABC's LMA of WWCS from owner Birach Broadcasting, operations for the station moved from its transmitter building at 38 Angerer Road (Strang Lane) in Canonsburg to 400 Ardmore Boulevard in Wilkinsburg, the home of WEAE (ESPN Radio 1250) and WTAE-TV. Under ABC, the station carried Radio Disney. WWCS ceased to carry Radio Disney upon the expiration of ABC's lease of WWCS on December 31, 2010; the network's programming then moved to Disney-owned WEAE (renamed WDDZ), which disaffiliated from ESPN Radio.

Pash was named BC Associations of Broadcasters "Broadcaster Citizen of the Year" in 1985 and he was Penticton "Citizen of the Year" the same year. CKOK disaffiliated from the CBC in 1977. CKOK-FM changed its call sign to CKOR-FM and in 1986 to its present call sign of CJMG. In 1985, the CRTC granted CKOK permission to move to 780 AM and to increase its power to 20,000 watts in the daytime and 10,000 watts at night, but the station never made the move as it remained at its present frequency and power.

Baton-Electrohome would acquire CHUM's Atlantic Television System (ATV), consisting of four CTV affiliates in the Maritimes, the Atlantic Satellite Network (ASN), and a further 14.3% in CTV. CHUM would receive Baton's independent stations in southwestern Ontario, as well as CHRO- TV in Pembroke, which had recently disaffiliated from CTV. The Baton- Electrohome alliance now held 57.2% of CTV. Shortly thereafter, Electrohome announced it would sell its broadcasting assets – including CFRN its interest in the alliance and its CTV shares – to Baton in exchange for cash and shares in Baton.

The NRA offers corporate discounts to its members at various businesses through its corporate affiliate programs. For several years, and increasingly in the aftermath of the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, "affiliate companies" have been targeted in social media as part of a boycott effort to terminate their business relationships with the NRA. As a result of this boycott movement, several major corporations such as Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, Hertz, Symantec, and MetLife have disaffiliated from the NRA, while others, such as FedEx have refused to disaffiliate.

Newcastle, Portsmouth, Hull and Loughbrough disaffiliated; the remainder maintained affiliation, although NUS reportedly broke campaigning rules at Oxford, Cambridge, and Christ Church. In April 2017, Bouattia was defeated in her re-election by Shakira Martin, the union's vice-president for further education, who received 56% of the vote. Martin pledged "unity", "pragmatism", and putting "NUS back into the hands of its membership". Moderate groups such as the Organised Independents and Union of Jewish Students sought to reform the organisation to prevent further disaffiliations, passing major democratic reform motions.

The disaffiliation of several major unions in 2005 led the AFL-CIO to reconsider the use of DALUs. Many of the disaffiliated unions provided the majority of members, staff and funds to AFL-CIO state federations and central labour councils. The loss of these resources would not only have effectively dismantled the AFL-CIO presence in these areas but eviscerated the labor movement as well. A number of AFL-CIO trade departments—in particular the Building and Construction Trades and the Metal Trades—would also have been strongly and negatively affected.

They made a net gain of over a hundred seats, thus reversing much of the ground lost in 1931. The Liberals continued a slow political decline, with their leader, Sir Herbert Samuel, losing his seat. The Independent Labour Party stood entirely separately from Labour for the first time since 1895, having stood candidates unendorsed by Labour at the 1931 general election and having disaffiliated fully from Labour in 1932. The Scottish National Party contested their first general election, and the Communist Party gained the West Fife seat, their first in ten years.

Huracán (leading the group "Norte") was declared winner due to Banfield (first in the other zone) disaffiliated from the Football Association. For the third edition, the trophy would be awarded by the 1929 Primera División champion. Unlike the previous season, the 35 teams participating were split into two groups in a round-robin tournament format. Teams finishing first of each zone at the end of the season played a final match, therefore Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata won the tournament after defeating Boca Juniors by 2-1.

The tournament consisted of a two-wheel championship of all against all. It involved twelve teams, and the champion was Nacional. This year there was a schism in Uruguayan football, Peñarol and Central being disaffiliated for disobeying the mandates of the AUF.On November 12, 1922, the Uruguayan Football Association (AUF) decided to disaffiliate Peñarol and Central after both transgressed the rules of the Association to play friendly matches against Racing Club and Independiente de Avellaneda respectively, clubs belonging to the Association Amateurs Football in Argentina, a dissident entity of AFA.

As a party with a constitutional commitment to democratic socialism founded by trade unions to represent the interests of working class people, Labour's link with unions has always been a defining characteristic of the party. Over time this link has come under increasing strain, with most craft based unions based in the public sector and Irish Congress of Trades Unions having disaffiliated since the 1950s. The remaining affiliated unions are primarily private sector general unions. Currently affiliated unions still send delegates to the National Conference in proportion to the size of their membership.

Inaugurated in 1981 by the then British Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher, SPJIMR had modest beginnings as a small extension of the campus of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. The institute was named after Sahu Shreyans Prasad Jain of the Sahu Jain family, who financed the institution in its early years. At the time of its establishment, SPJIMR was among the three business schools in Mumbai. After financing from the Sahu Jain family stopped, the institute disaffiliated itself from Bombay University to provide itself with more freedom in curriculum decision-making and pedagogy design.

The National Workers' Union of Venezuela (, UNT) is a federation of labor unions in Venezuela that was founded in 2003. This union was created by supporters of Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez to challenge the Workers' Confederation of Venezuela (CTV), an anti-Chávez union federation that has strong ties with the centrist Democratic Action (AD). Many unions have disaffiliated from the CTV and joined with the UNT. Because of this, the UNT has become the biggest union federation in Venezuela whose contracts cover the majority of Venezuela's organized working class.

Four unions were also disaffiliated from the ALP after the split. The unions were the 'right-wing' Federated Clerks Union, the Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees Association, the Federated Ironworkers' Association of Australia and the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters and Joiners. On the night of 19 April 1955, Henry Bolte raised a motion of no-confidence against Cain's government in the Legislative Assembly. After twelve hours of debate on the motion, in the early hours of 20 April, 11 of the expelled Labor members crossed the floor to support Bolte's motion.

The FMPR has recently disaffiliated from the American Federation of Teachers. A referendum within the union decided on a majority vote to disaffiliate with the AFT and the AFL-CIO. The details of the referendum were published on their website and the votes were counted by the teachers themselves according to official reports. The conflict between the two unions remained in limbo through January 2005, when hundreds of FMPR officers opposed to disaffiliation formally asked AFT to investigate the disaffiliation vote and the governing practices of President Feliciano.

On January 4, 1960, KROY disaffiliated from CBS; KFBK had eased in CBS programming beginning the prior month, with a full affiliation to begin in June. Later that year, Lincoln Dellar acquired KROY; at the time, Dellar was an executive at KXOA (1470 AM), and he had also founded short-lived KCCC-TV, Sacramento's first television station. Dellar moved to increase KROY's power to its present 1,000 watts the next year. KROY spent the next two decades as one of Sacramento's two major Top 40 outlets, competing against KXOA.

The following nineteen teams competed this season. Atlético San Luis was promoted from the Ascenso MX. Veracruz was to be relegated to the Ascenso MX initially after accumulating the lowest point coefficient last season, but instead they offered to pay MXN$120 million to remain in Liga MX. The team, however, was eventually disaffiliated by the FMF at the end of the Apertura 2019 tournament. Lobos BUAP's franchise in the first division was purchased by FC Juárez. Lobos BUAP will be able to participate in the Ascenso MX but will remain frozen for one year.

With this move, Canwest's stations now had enough coverage of Canada that on August 18—the day CKMI officially disaffiliated from CBC—Canwest rebranded its station group as "The Global Television Network." Throughout the 1990s, Global (and its antecedents) held Canadian rights to hit U.S. series such as Cheers, Friends, and Frasier. Canwest also bought broadcasting assets internationally, including outlets in New Zealand, the Republic of Ireland, and Australia, although all were eventually sold off. In 1991, Canwest issued a successful initial public offering on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Equity sold RTN to Luken Communications in 2008. Following a dispute between Equity and Luken, all of Equity's RTN affiliates, including WNGS, disaffiliated from the network on January 4, 2009. WNGS continued to carry other programs, such as sports and locally produced B-movie film showcase Off Beat Cinema. Later that month, WNGS switched its affiliation to This TV. The RTN affiliation later moved to a digital subchannel of WGRZ, then to the pairing of low-power stations W30BW in Olean and WBXZ-LP, assuming they get their transmitter installed, in Buffalo.

The congregation was founded in the English community of Scrooby in 1606 by the Pilgrims, a group of Protestant Christians. After they emigrated to North America in 1620, the Separatist congregation established a church in Plymouth which became a parish church of Massachusetts' state church, the Congregational church. Eventually, a schism developed in 1801, when much of the congregation adopted Unitarianism along with many of the other state churches in Massachusetts; the Congregationalist dissenters broke away to form the Church of the Pilgrimage. All state churches were disaffiliated with the government by 1834.

Among the prominent members of this faction were Abraham Cahan, Meyer London, Isaac Hourwich, Morris Winchevsky, Michael Zametkin, Max Pine and Louis E. Miller.Quint, p. 301. In St. Louis, the local SLP branch had published its own paper Labor in the early to mid- nineties, edited by Albert Sanderson and Gustav Hoehn, which showed independence from the SLP leadership and also opposed the dual union policy. This paper's editorial policy was condemned and the paper disaffiliated with the party at its 1896 convention, but ill feeling toward the party leadership continued.Quint, pp. 169–179.

190 The ILP disaffiliated from the Labour Party in 1932, and Thomas was a member of a panel who considered the possibility of reaffiliation, in 1939. Their recommendation, against affiliation but to encourage ILP members to join Labour as individuals, was rejected by the ILP conference, and Thomas remained active in the ILP.Gidon Cohen, Failure of a Dream, p.158 During World War II, Thomas represented people to the Central Board of Conscientious Objectors, while, by the 1950s, Thomas was chair of the London division of the ILP.

During the decade of 1920, El Porvenir rented several fields until it inaugurated its own one, in Lanús, where the team played until 1939. The first international match played by El Porvenir was on 12 October 1920, against Uruguayan team Liga Nacional de Montevideo. In 1941 the club was disaffiliated by the Association due to it did not have a field, so El Porvenir began to build an stadium in Gerli, Lanús Partido. The stadium was opened on 4 April 1942, then enlarged in 1943 to host 10,000 spectators.

The club disaffiliated from Dublin County Board during two periods of unrest in the 1940s and affiliated directly to Central Council o the Camogie Association, in 1939-41 and 1945-48. This meant that the club had little or no opposition in Dublin or Leinster when their one-club selection represented Dublin, most famously to contest the Al Ireland finals of 1941 and 1947 and winning the All Ireland title in 1948. The club even set up an alternative Dublin county board in 1947 but were asked by central Council not to pursue this policy.

The club also competed at the 1996 edition of the FIBA Intercontinental Cup. Nevertheless, the club then entered into a crisis, due to financial problems. By 2009, Olimpia had a debt of $1.5 million,"Olimpia, del esplendor a la oscuridad", Ambito Financiero, 2009-06-25 and due to that critical situation, the basketball team disaffiliated itself from the top level Argentine League."Olimpia, orgullo histórico de Venado Tuerto, busca salvar su presente", La Capital, 24 May 2009 The club was still in bankruptcy until 2017, when it finally cleared its debts.

He is critical of the Episcopal Church of the United States departure of orthodox Anglicanism but at the same time he is also supportive of those orthodoxes still remaining in the church. He is a supporter of the Global South (Anglican), the GAFCON and the Anglican Church in North America. He is also a member of the Anglican Consultative Council. In April 2012, Isingoma gave temporary oversight to the Anglican Mission in the Americas, who had disaffiliated from the Anglican Church of Rwanda, until the church body had time to decide his future.

He was connected with Temperance and kindred movements for many years. He was a member of the Tenant's Association, the Land League, the Irish National League and the United Irish League (UIL), successively. In 1902 he became the first nationalist chairman of Fermanagh County Council. The local branch of the UIL in Enniskillen which was largely dominated by working-class members was disaffiliated after it criticised merchants who dominated nationalist politics in the town – notably Jeremiah Jordan and his successor, Patrick Crumley – for decorating shops with Union Jacks and subscribing to a military monument.

National Writers Union (NWU), founded on 19 November 1981, is the trade union in the United States for freelance and contract writers: journalists, book and short fiction authors, business and technical writers, web content providers and poets. Organized into 17 local chapters nationwide, it had been Local 1981 of the United Automobile Workers, AFL-CIO since merging with them in 1992. On 11 May 2020, the NWU disaffiliated with the UAW. National Writers Union website: One Movement, Two Paths NWU is an affiliate of the International Federation of Journalists.

The concern was followed by a rapid growth within the UGTT in pressure to remove Ben Salah. Matters reached a head at the UGTT congress in September 1956 when activists orchestrated by Bourguiba penetrated the union administrative commission and, backed by several regional unions, disaffiliated from the UGTT, grouping themselves instead into a rival body, the Tunisian Labour Union ("Union des travailleurs tunisiens"). The Neo- Destourians also applied pressure on UGTT member unions which led to the enforced resignation of union General Secretary Ben Salah in December 1956. He was replaced by Ahmed Tlili.

In July 1912, Gimnasia y Esgrima de Buenos Aires disaffiliated from Asociación Argentina de Football, founding the Federación Argentina de Football (FAF) presided by Ricardo Aldao. Recently promoted teams Porteño and Estudiantes (LP) joined the new league, among other clubs. 1912 was the inaugural season of the dissident FAF league. This tournament was formed by 3 dissident teams from the Asociación Argentina (AAF): Estudiantes de La Plata, Gimnasia y Esgrima (BA) and Porteño, plus the 4 teams promoted from the second division: Argentino de Quilmes, Atlanta, Independiente and Kimberley.

At its foundation, the party also called for a halt to privatisation and the renationalisation of the British railways. Although it did not secure the full backing of any major trade unions, some local branches of the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT)—which had disaffiliated from Labour in February 2004—voted to support Respect. Although containing members from both the SWP and MAB, Respect was not a formal coalition between the two groups. From the beginnings of Respect, there remained tension within the party between SWP members and Muslim leaders.

McGuire's successors took a more aggressive stance toward other unions whose members were performing work that the Carpenters union either considered its own members' right to perform or saw as a threat to their craft traditions. The union waged jurisdictional strikes to claim work that other unions, such as the Machinists, Sheet Metal Workers and Electrical Workers claimed as theirs. The Carpenters used its size to win many of these disputes. After the death of president James Kirby in 1915, it frequently disaffiliated from the AFL's Building Trades Department to protest those decisions it lost.

Porteño moved to a land on Valentín Alsina avenue, near Hipódromo Argentino, also in Palermo. Its stadium was the first (in the city of Buenos Aires) to have its official stands built in concrete. In 1931 Porteño disaffiliated from the Football Association, due to the club refused to participate in a professional league, being the team subsequently disbanded. Porteño's football team won a total of 2 championships between 1912 and 1914 Argentina amateur football final tables 1911-20 and two Copa de Competencia Jockey Club, in 1915 Copa de Competencia 1915 at RSSSF.

The League pamphlet They Want Your Land alleged that "international financiers" were trying to force Australian farmers off their land by manipulating commodity prices. Successive Country Party and National Party leaders warned against League infiltration and League-controlled branches were occasionally disaffiliated. Queensland Nationals Senator Ron Boswell was particularly outspoken in attacking League infiltration of the Queensland Nationals. A Liberal federal MP, James Killen, was identified as a League supporter in the 1960s, and traveled to Europe with Butler in 1962, but later severed his connections with the League.

About the same time, CHCH-TV in Hamilton disaffiliated from the CBC and became the first station not affiliated with either network, not counting the initial launch period of most of the soon-to-be CTV stations. Over the next 25 years or so, many more new stations were launched, primarily CBC stations in major markets replacing private affiliates (which subsequently joined with CTV or became independent) and new independent stations in the largest centres, such as CITY-TV in Toronto, CITV-TV in Edmonton, and CKND-TV in Winnipeg.

In 1986 the SWP broke with orthodox Trotskyism and disaffiliated from the Fourth International. While maintaining Leon Trotsky's critique of the USSR, the party replaced Trotsky's theory of permanent revolution with the view that socialist revolution in Third World countries (countries in which, according to Marxist theory, the development of capitalism has been distorted by colonialism and imperialism) will take place in two connected stages. In the early 1990s it was renamed the Democratic Socialist Party. It contested the 1998 federal election as part of the Democratic Socialist Electoral League.

At the annual conference of 1908, Crumpler was re-elected president of the body; however, with a majority of the delegates having experienced tongues, he permanently disaffiliated himself from the church. p. 119 After Crumpler's departure, the conference added an article to the statement of faith, recognizing tongues as the initial evidence: The PHC Foreign Mission Board was formed in 1904, and its members were all women. In 1907, Tom J. McIntosh, a PHC member, traveled to China and may have been the first Pentecostal missionary to reach that nation.

Its first field was on the corner of Soler and Humboldt streets of Buenos Aires, then moving to Mendoza and Freire in Belgrano neighborhood. The club has also another field in Villa Lynch, Tres de Febrero Partido of Greater Buenos Aires. In 1919 Palermo was near to promote to Primera División although the team was defeated by Banfield 1–0. Nevertheless, the club took part in the 1920 tournament although Palermo did not play all the games, being disaffiliated that same season along with Lanús and Sportivo Almagro.

Although the executive board of PSEA HealthCare approved the dual affiliation with the AFT, 12 local unions (primarily located in southeastern Pennsylvania) held their own meeting on May 24, 2000, and disaffiliated from PSEA. PSEA brought the issue before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). In October 2000, in what was described as a Solomonic decision because it "split the difference," the Pittsburgh region of the NLRB ruled that each local union was free to do as it wished. Seven bargaining units with about 1,000 members became dual affiliates of AFT and PSEA.

As in other ultra-Orthodox groups, apostates may face threats, hostility, violence, and various punitive measures, among them separation of children from their disaffiliated parents, especially in divorce cases. Due to their strictly religious education and traditionalist upbringing, many who leave their sects have few viable work skills or even command of the English language, and their integration into the broader society is often difficult.Cf., for example: Judy Bolton-Fasman, 'Off the Path' Memoirs of ex- Hasidic Jews Shine Light on Faigy Mayer’s World. This prevented their local unions from participating in elections sponsored by the National Labor Relations Board. To resolve the organizing impediment, the national RWDSU leadership suspended the local officers. Eight of the largest New York locals, representing 30,000 to 40,000 workers, disaffiliated from the union and formed the Distributive Workers Union. The DWU absorbed the remnants of two other unions expelled from the CIO for communist domination-the United Office and Professional Workers of America (UOPWA) and the Food, Tobacco and Agricultural Workers Union-to form the Distributive, Processing and Office Workers of America (DPOWA). In January 1952, RWDSU unanimously adopted a resolution inviting any disaffiliated locals to rejoin the parent union. DPOWA elections held in June 1952 led to the ouster of most DPOWA officers, removing those elected leaders who had opposed the anti-communist affidavit requirement. In 1954, DPOWA rejoined the RWDSU and became known as District 65. In 1954, the Playthings, Jewelry and Novelty Workers Union and the Distributing, Processing and Office Workers Union merged with RWDSU. In 1969, differences over support for the Vietnam War and the civil rights movement as well as a disagreement over organizational procedures led once more to the disaffiliation of District 65.

Aged 16, Linden joined the Independent Labour Party, which had disaffiliated from the Labour Party some years previously, despite having played a key role in the latter's early years. The ILP had lost all of its MPs by this point, however, and Linden describes it as having been "in its dying days". It was his involvement with the Communist Party that led to him moving to London, but after several years, he came to the realisation that he was not a communist. He would go on to join the Labour Party and, aged 84, stated, "I've been a Labour man all my life".

Accordingly, on August 18, 1997, Canwest scrubbed all local branding from its stations and rebranded them as the "Global Television Network," the brand previously used solely by the Ontario outlet. On the same day, CKMI disaffiliated from CBC, set up rebroadcasters in Montreal and Sherbrooke, and became the Quebec outlet of the newly minted network. It also built a new studio in Montreal and moved most of its operations there, though the license nominally remained in Quebec City until 2009. Canwest's purchase of CKMI extended Global's footprint to eight of Canada's 10 largest markets (though Ottawa and Montreal were only served by rebroadcasters).

At the same time, TAs and sessional lecturers were organizing at York University (now Local 3903 of CUPE) and Ryerson University (3904). The National Union grew rapidly, if chaotically, in those early years, organizing TAs at Lakehead University (3905), TAs and contract faculty at McMaster University (3906), and graduate assistants at OISE (3907). In 1980, the Union renamed itself the Canadian Union of Educational Workers (CUEW). CUEW eventually organized contract faculty at Trent University (3908), TAs and student instructors at the University of Manitoba (3909), contract faculty at the University of Ottawa (which disaffiliated in 1992), and contract faculty at Athabasca University (3911).

The International Socialist Movement was a Trotskyist current inside the Scottish Socialist Party (SSP) from 2001 until March 2006. It came into existence as a change of name by Scottish Militant Labour, the since defunct Scottish section of the Committee for a Workers' International. In January 2002 it disaffiliated from the CWI after increasing clashes the CWI's leadership around Peter Taffe, although a significant minority based mainly in Dundee stayed with the CWI and formed a pro-CWI platform in the SSP called the International Socialists. For a few years the ISM was effectively the leadership of the SSP.

After enduring a 41-game winless run dating from September 2018 to October 2019, multiple reports of players not receiving payment, an in-game protest against Tigres UANL in the 2019 Apertura, and repeated discontent with owner Fidel Kurri, the FMF officially disaffiliated Veracruz from Liga MX following the 2019 Apertura. Their players became free agents, free to sign with any club, and their women's team was also kicked out of the Liga MX Femenil. All other branches of the club, including its academies and reserves, dissolved as well. As a result, Liga MX began its 2020 Clausura with only 18 teams.

In August 2017, the Otago University Students' Association in Dunedin disaffiliated the Elohim World Academy following complaints from students about deceptive and coercive recruitment methods. The University of Otago's Proctor Dave Scott had considered trespassing members of the group but ruled it out since that would have violated the New Zealand Bill of Rights Act 1990's provisions on religious freedom and freedom of expression. In 2020, the University of Auckland student magazine Craccum reported that members of the Elohim Academy had targeted students at the University of Auckland and the University of Waikato in Hamilton.

Shankara Bhagawat (R. Sankar), Vijaykumar's first serious disciple and close childhood friend, who co-founded the Oneness Organization, left him in 1998, after alleging that Oneness Movement was controlling and manipulative. Freddy Nielsen, Vijaykumar's close associate from Sweden and his long-time follower since 1989, left him in 2005 after directing severe criticism against Kalki Bhagavan and the Oneness Movement. In November 2009 there was a significant change, when 25 of the senior instructors, including NKV Krishna, Anandagiri and Vimalkirti, disaffiliated from Kalki and Amma Bhagavan to form their own organization, which they named 'One World Academy'.

CH's first logo (2001-2005) shares the same crescent device as Global's logo CH's second logo (2005-2007) retains the crescent device, but uses a different colour scheme In February 2001, CHCH dropped its "ONtv" branding, becoming the first to adopt the CH brand. It was followed by CHEK (newly disaffiliated from CTV) and multicultural station CJNT that September. The initial CH schedules largely consisted of the programming Canwest had inherited from WIC – indeed there were almost no programming changes initially at CHCH, since the branding change came mid-season. However, a handful of WIC programs would eventually be "cherry-picked" by Global.

KNVA disaffiliated from UPN on September 4 and replaced its prime time programming with the MyNetworkTV lineup upon that network's September 5 launch. Channel 54 remained a primary affiliate of The WB until that network ceased operations in September 17, and subsequently affiliated with The CW when it debuted the following day (September 18). During prime time, KNVA initially carried programming from both networks each weeknight (with The CW's prime time schedule airing in pattern from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and MyNetworkTV programming carried on a two-hour delay from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m.).

Grubb and his friends at Cambridge decided that they could no longer work in partnership with SCM, saying that it had divorced a biblically-based, cross-centred emphasis. Cambridge Inter- Collegiate Christian Union (CICCU) had been disaffiliated from national SCM since 1910, but only after talks in 1919 floundered did a permanent split look probable. Splits followed throughout the British and Irish university system, and two separate organisations emerged which went on to form the modern UCCF (initially known as the IVF) and SCM.

In 1965 Fénix was near to promote to Primera B Metropolitana but lost the playoff to Almirante Brown by 1–0. In 1978 the Intendant of Buenos Aires, Osvaldo Cacciatore notified the club that it had to vacate the lands where the stadium had been erected, so Fénix had to play its home games in different venues, most frequently Excursionistas stadium. The team was also relegated to Primera D that same year. After being disaffiliated a couple of times and a financial crisis, the club signed an agreement with private investors which took over the manage of the institution for 10 years.

Uruguay.

The International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) is a labor union which primarily represents dock workers on the West Coast of the United States, Hawaii, and in British Columbia, Canada. It also represents hotel workers in Hawaii, cannery workers in Alaska, warehouse workers throughout the West and bookstore workers in Portland, Oregon. The union was established in 1937 after the 1934 West Coast Waterfront Strike, a 3-month-long strike that culminated in a 4-day general strike in San Francisco, California, and the Bay Area. It disaffiliated from the AFL-CIO on August 30, 2013.

422 The ILP was affiliated to the Labour Party, and at the 1918 general election, Arnott stood for it in Leeds West, but was not elected. He then stood in Kingston upon Hull South West repeatedly, losing in 1922, 1923 and 1924. In 1925, he was chosen as Lord Mayor of Leeds. He finally won the Hull South West seat at the 1929 general election, and although his candidacy was sponsored by the ILP, he was no longer playing any part in the party, leading him to leave it when it disaffiliated from the Labour Party.

6 KCMC-TV disaffiliated from DuMont after the network ceased operations in August 1956, amid various issues that arose from DuMont's relations with Paramount Pictures that hamstrung it from expansion; this left KCMC-TV with a primary CBS affiliate with secondary affiliations with ABC and NBC. Ownership of KCMC-TV, KCMC radio, the Gazette and Camden News Publishing's other print and broadcast holdings would transfer to the familial heirs of Clyde Palmer—led by Walter Hussman, Sr.—after he succumbed from complications of a stroke he suffered on July 4, 1957 at the age of 80.

A third of the locals affiliated went with AFSCME, and two-thirds with SEIU. These mergers made SEIU the largest health care workers' union in North America and the fastest- growing member of the AFL-CIO. In 1991, the original Local 1199 in New York City disaffiliated from RWDSU and became independent; it merged with SEIU in 1998. Despite Hardy's cordial discussions with 1199 and his success in growing the union, some union leaders considered him too elderly to continue to lead the union and that his age had contributed to the lack of new member organizing.

The Scottish Socialist Party (SSP) was an organisation of former Independent Labour Party members who wished to remain part of the Labour Party after their former party disaffiliated. By the early 1930s, there was strong support in the Independent Labour Party (ILP) for disaffiliation from the Labour Party. This came to a head after the Labour Party refused to endorse ILP candidates at the 1931 general election. Several leading Scottish members disagreed with the ILP's moves to disaffiliate, including chairman of the Scottish ILP Patrick Dollan, David Kirkwood, who was one of the party's five MPs, and former MP Tom Johnston.

At the next general election, in 1931, he lost his seat to Rankin, and did not stand for Parliament again. Sandham had been chairman of the Lancashire division of the ILP, but after the ILP disaffiliated from the Labour Party in 1932 he became critical of the power which the Revolutionary Policy Committee held within the ILP. In 1934 he led the breakaway Independent Socialist Party (ISP). The ISP's support was concentrated in North-West England, although it had a small pocket of support in East Anglia, but it never gained a significant following and was wound up in the 1950s.

The team that promoted to Primera C in 1981 The club was first affiliated with AFA in 1954 for a ten-year period. Muñiz returned to participate in AFA tournaments in 1979, and in 1981 obtained its first promotion to Primera C after winning "Torneo Reducido" (a tournament contested by the best placed teams after champion Barracas Central). Muñiz would after win the Primera D championship in 1986–87, being its only title to date. Muñiz has been disaffiliated a total of seven times (1964, 1990–91, 1994–95, 2001–02, 2005–06, 2007–08 and most recently in 2010–11 season).

Agnes Macphail, who was first elected to the House of Commons as a Progressive, was re-elected in 1935 as a UFO-Labour candidate before being defeated in 1940. She was a supporter of the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation, but ran as UFO-Labour because the UFO, of which she was a member, had disaffiliated from the CCF in 1934 after a brief association. A small number of candidates ran under the "Farmer-Labour" banner in federal elections of the 1930s and 1940s, although there was no organized party. None of these candidates ever won election to the House of Commons.

In 1932 and 1933 the club also took part of the championship. In 1934 the club was noticed that another institution of Adrogué, also named "Almirante Brown", had disaffiliated from the Association. In an assembly held short later, the club decided to return to tournaments using its original name and colours but Almirante Brown was not allowed to take part due to there was no place for new teams. Therefore, the club began a long period of inactivity that extended to 1942, when some young people from Club Juventud Unida promoted the re-opening of the club Almirante Brown.

It did so, and MacPhail became the first Chairman of the Ontario CCF in 1932, but the UFO disaffiliated from the CCF in 1934 due to allegations of communist influence in the party. The UFO nominated candidates, incumbent MLA Farquhar Oliver and former MLA Leslie Oke, accordingly ran as UFO candidates in the 1934 provincial election rather than as CCFers. The UFO, like United Farmers groups in the provinces of western Canada, decided to withdraw entirely from electoral politics though Oliver and Macphail continued to run under the UFO banner until 1940. Many United Farmers joined the CCF as individuals.

CKNX disaffiliated from the CBC in 1988 and remained an independent station for another ten years until CHUM Limited purchased the station from Baton Broadcasting. Under the ownership of CHUM, the station joined the NewNet system and was accordingly rebranded The New NX. Logo used while as The New NX, used until 2005. The New NX's news program, NewsNow, drew the lowest viewership of all NewNet stations (82,000) which is not surprising, since it was in the smallest NewNet market. News programming aired on CKNX is simulcast from CFPL in London, however CKNX viewers still receive a separate 11 p.m.

The Democratic Party, initially known as Our Party, was formed in May 1969 by Desmond Donnelly, who had been a Labour MP for Pembrokeshire, but had resigned the whip in January 1968 and been expelled by the party two months later. His Constituency Labour Party supported him and was disaffiliated from the party along with Donnelly's expulsion. The party had an anti-socialist agenda and supported UK intervention in the Vietnam War. In some respects, the party was to the right of the Conservatives, advocating the abolition of the welfare state, sweeping changes to the taxation system, and the return of national service.

Against a single opponent, he managed only 19.4% of the vote. He served as the Midlands District representative on the ILP's National Administrative Committee from 1931, and in 1932 moved the motion arguing that the ILP should remain affiliated to the Labour Party provided that certain conditions were met - hoping that the Labour Party was moving to the left and would agree to them. This position was approved at the ILP's conference, but the conditions were not met, and so the ILP disaffiliated. Late in 1933, Garton moved to Moscow, to work for the All Union Electro- technical Institute.

Wrack joined the Labour Party Young Socialists in Salford in 1978 and was a member of Farnworth Constituency Labour Party during the period in which the local MP John Roper left Labour to join the Social Democratic Party. Wrack subsequently moved to London, working for a time in the DHSS before joining the fire service. Wrack was active in the Labour Party Young Socialists before going on to join the Socialist Party, which he had left by the time he was elected to lead the FBU in 2005. His union disaffiliated from the Labour Party in 2004 but reaffiliated in November 2015.

Leslie Driffield was nominated as the BA&CC; challenger to Williams for the professional Billiards Championship. Williams declined to play Driffield within the five months time limit that the BA&CC; had set, which expired on 7 July 1970, and forfeited the title, which was then contested between Driffield and Jack Karnehm in June 1971. On 1 October 1970, the PBPA disaffiliated from the BA&CC.; The PBPA changed its name to the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association on 12 December 1970, and declared itself the governing body for the professional game, recognising Williams as champion.

This article lists some of the students' unions in the United Kingdom that are not affiliated to the National Union of Students. Around five per cent of student unions in the UK are not affiliated with the NUS, including of student unions who represent Russell Group Universities (the Aldwych Group). Some of the institutions have disaffiliated from the NUS, whereas others such as those in the previous Scottish Ancients Group (see: Coalition of Higher Education Students in Scotland) have never been affiliated. Durham Students' Union voted to disaffiliate in March 2010 but subsequently voted to reaffiliate in January 2011.

Victor Halley (born 1904)Halley Family 1911 Census Form was a nationalist trade unionist in Northern Ireland, from West Belfast. A Presbyterian, Halley was born at 19 Carew Street, Belfast on 15 January 1904, the son of James Halley, a soldier, and Julia McCormick. He joined the Independent Labour Party, and when this disaffiliated from the British Labour Party, he became a founder member of the small Socialist Party of Northern Ireland, an integral part of the Northern Ireland Labour Party. The station continued carrying UPN in off-hours until WRBU (channel 46) disaffiliated from Home Shopping Network to join UPN in April 2003. On December 30, 2002, Tribune Broadcasting announced it would purchase KPLR-TV and its Portland, Oregon sister station KWBP from ACME Communications for $275 million; the sale was finalized on March 21, 2003. Also in 2003, KPLR moved its studios from the Chase Park Plaza (which by that time, went from a gutted complex where the station had been the only major tenant into a boutique hotel) to a new purpose-built studio facility in Maryland Heights.

The PF campaign was preceded by the United Front campaign. The campaign for a United Front, sought to get co- operation between the Labour Party, the Independent Labour Party and the Communist Party of Great Britain. A major part of that unity campaign was to have electoral co-operation against the National Government at a future general election. In 1931 the ILP had disaffiliated from the Labour Party and at the 1935 General Election the ILP and the Labour Party had fielded candidates against each other that had resulted in cases of the National Government candidate winning due to a split left vote.

In 2001, Grupo Radio Centro bought the indebted station, disaffiliated it from the Cadena RASA system and converted it to a news format, known as La 69 - Es Noticia. The purchase was made possible because the previous year Radio Centro had sold 1320 AM and 1560 AM to Infored.Radio Centro Form 20-F filed in the United States, 2009 However, the station generally lacked unique programming. It mainly aired a simulcast of the two-hour midday newscast of Radio Red, which was hosted by Jacobo Zabludovsky until his death on July 2, 2015, being substituted by Juan Francisco Castañeda.

Club Atlético Palermo is a sports club from the Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The club has British roots, so the first clubs in London had been founded as social institutions so therefore they were usually the place where gentlemen of the high classes met. Palermo played in Primera División, the first division of Argentina, during the 1920s, and then disaffiliated when football became professional in the country. Some relevant players from the institution are Gonzalo Higuaín"Higuaín, el que hacía 100 goles por torneo", Diario Perfil, 2010-06-19 and Leandro Gracián, who played for Palermo in children divisions.

KAHC-LD began operations in 1988 as K69FB, on analog channel 69, and was originally affiliated with the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN). On June 17, 2004, its call letters changed to K45HC and switched to analog channel 45.KAHC-LD Facility Details In 2015, K45HC disaffiliated with TBN after 27 years and the station went silent for about a year. In 2016, it went on the air again with new call letters as KAHC-LP, later becoming its current call letters of KAHC-LD, after the station switched from analog to digital, remaining on its analog-era channel number 45.

CKMI then added semi-satellites in Montreal and Sherbrooke, reappearing on Montreal cable systems as a result. The purchase closed on August 18, 1997. With the addition of CKMI, Canwest's stations had enough coverage of Canada that on August 18, 1997–the day Canwest closed on its purchase of controlling interest in the station–Canwest rebranded its station group as the Global Television Network. On that date, CKMI disaffiliated from CBC and became the exclusive Global outlet for Quebec. As part of the deal, CKMI moved from VHF channel 5 to UHF channel 20 using a transmitter at the Quebec City tower farm atop Mount Bélair.

She then moved to Pontypridd, where she became secretary of the ILP's Pontypridd and District Federation, also serving on the party's Welsh Divisional Council. The ILP was affiliated to the Labour Party, and at the 1929 UK general election, Borrett stood for it in Weston-super- Mare, taking third place, with 11.1% of the vote. The ILP disaffiliated from the Labour Party in 1931, but Borrett disagreed with the decision, and at the 1931 UK general election, she again stood for Labour, this time in Tonbridge, where she took second place, with 21.2% of the vote. Borrett joined the Socialist League, an ILP split which affiliated to the Labour Party.

The station originally signed on for the first time on September 4, 1994 as XHFOX-TV (changed from the original XHRTA-TV before launch), broadcasting programming from the Fox network for Texas' Rio Grande Valley; prior to XHFOX's sign-on and after its switch to Las Estrellas in 2002, viewers in the valley (including McAllen) received their Fox programs on cable via the national Foxnet service. In 2001, its final year as a Fox affiliate, XHFOX broadcast a local newscast at 9:00 p.m. produced by KRGV-TV. In 2002, XHFOX disaffiliated from Fox and became XHTAM-TV, largely rebroadcasting programming from Las Estrellas.

Compass disaffiliated from Labour in 2011 in order to open up their membership to people belonging to other political parties. The activist group Open Labour was launched in 2015 with the aim of developing a new forum for the soft left political tradition within the party, which it hopes to recast as the "Open Left". In the 2017 general election, several Open Labour activists were elected to Parliament including Open Labour Treasurer Alex Sobel, Emma Hardy and Rosie Duffield. Keir Starmer, the current leader of the Labour Party, is described as being on the soft left and Angela Rayner, the current deputy leader, identifies herself as soft left.

Following the Government of British India notification on 20 August 1904, Ceylon went under the University of Madras; provinces, states and agencies of Central India, such as the Central India Agency, Rajputana Agency, United Provinces of Agra and Oudh etc. went to the hands of University of Allahabad; Northern and North-Western provinces and states went under the University of Punjab. Jurisdiction of schools and colleges in Eastern India retained to Calcutta University. By 1907, two colleges in Punjab, five in the State of Rajputana Agency, three in the Central Province, six in the United Provinces of Agra and Oudh and seven in Ceylon were disaffiliated.

Skaist later relocated to Israel, where he taught philosophy at Bar-Ilan University and gave weekly performances at Mike's Place in Jerusalem. During this time, one of his students introduced him to the band Phish and, after initially being unimpressed, he ultimately became a fan. He later met fellow Phish fan and concert promoter Adam Weinberg and, in 1998, the two founded Gefiltefish, an outreach organization traveling to stops on Phish tours to provide community and spiritual advice to disaffiliated Jews in attendance. The following year, Skaist and Weinberg created the similarly-minded Shabbat Tents, which hosted Shabbat prayers and meals for people at the tour stops.

Almost one year after the end of Gillard's term, in late 1984 a special National Conference of AUS, chaired by the union's Western Australian State Organiser, wound up the union. The reason for its dissolution was its lack of access to funding from previously affiliated University campuses, which disaffiliated in 1983 as a result of a series of student referendums held at campuses around Australia. The Union and NUAUS organized four alternative festivals 1967–1973, Australian Universities Arts Festival and Aquarius Festival, the latter being a starting point for a new development era of Byron Bay area.

For a period in the 1930s it organised women's athletics events. A breakaway Cualacht Luithchleas na mBan Gaedheal continued in existence during 1939–51 as clubs in Cork, Dublin, Kildare, Meath and Wicklow disaffiliated in a series of disputes, largely over whether male officials should be allowed to hold office and whether players of ladies' hockey should be allowed play camogie. The last of these disputes was not resolved until 1951. The decision to change the playing rules from 12-a-side to 15-a-side teams and to use the larger GAA-style field led to an increase of affiliations after 1999 from 400 clubs to 540 a decade later.

In the 1950s, future Victorian Premier John Cain and future Opposition Leader Clyde Holding were involved in the organising of the club. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, the ALP Club was closely involved in the Left Alliance, a group of left-wing students that opposed the union between the Labor Club (affiliated to the Labor Right) and Liberal Club. In 2003, the Clubs & Societies Department of the Student Union, which had a Liberal Club and Labor Club majority, disaffiliated the ALP Club on a technicality. Despite lengthy attempts to overturn this decision, the student union was put into liquidation before the issue could be resolved.

Albion became the main club football in Uruguay, being the first team from that country to win outside Uruguay: in 1896 Albion defeated Argentine teams Retiro Athletic Club and Belgrano AC (4-1 and 5-3 respectively), both matches played in Buenos Aires. It is believed that the first international games played in Uruguay were in Punta Carretas, where Albion faced Lobos AC, an Argentine team that played in Primera División until the Argentine Football Association disaffiliated it. The first Uruguayan derby was between Albion and CURCC. The CURCC had been founded in 1891 as a cricket club, having added football just one year after its establishment.

Segunda División title. In late 1938, a group of members proposed to young entrepreneur Florencio Sola to take over the presidency of the club; although Banfield was in a critical situation, Sola nonetheless accepted. Taking advantage of Club Estudiantil Porteño (that played in second division) had been disaffiliated from the AFA, Florencio Sola acted to prevent Banfield dropping into the Third Division. To tackle the championship in 1939 Banfield obtained the loan of many players who were substitutes in the First Divisionand assembled a quality team that became champions winning the right to play in the Primera División. Banfield featured a completely new team for 1940 season.

The 1919 Argentine Primera División was the 28th season of top-flight football in Argentina. The official "Asociación Argentina de Football" (AFA) league championship was abandoned mid season by the majority of the clubs, which joined the new "Asociación Amateurs de Football" (AAmF) while six clubs remained with the official body. In the AFA league, Boca Juniors was crowned champion with 14 fixtures to be played, while Racing Club won its 7th league title at AAmF.Argentina 1919 at RSSSF Club Eureka debuted in the AFA championship, while Vélez Sársfield played its first Primera División championship in the AAmF after being disaffiliated from the official body.

Many of the lighter trades remained with the Federated Trades Council, the heavier trades mostly affiliated solely to the new organisation.Duncan Tanner, Political Change and the Labour Party 1900–1918 A few groups remained affiliated to both Trades Councils; for example, Hobson remained President of the Federated, but also held membership of the Trades and Labour. The ILP disaffiliated from the Trades and Labour in 1910, after local ILP leader Alf Barton proposed to stand as a local election candidate without the sanction of the Trades Council. However, Barton left the ILP soon after to form a local branch of the British Socialist Party, and the ILP reaffiliated the following year.

The break occurred over the AFL's refusal to abandon its support for craft unionism and cease its attacks on industrial unions. NFFE disaffiliated in December 1931. The AFL responded by chartering a new federal employees union, the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), on October 17, 1932. In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed Executive Order 10988, establishing the right of federal workers to engage in collective bargaining. Consequently, union membership among U.S. government employees soared from 13 percent in 1961 to 60 percent in the 1974. NFFE's membership also grew tremendously, roughly doubling during the same period from 80,000 members to 150,000 members.

On the date the deal was announced, CBS Corporation and Fox Television Stations announced a long-term deal in which WPWR would become the CW affiliate for the Chicago market once WGN disaffiliated from the network. This marked the first time a station currently owned by Fox chose to affiliate with The CW. At the time the announcement was made, there was no mention of MyNetworkTV's future relationship with WPWR, including if the programming service would move to another station. When WPWR took over as Chicago's CW affiliate on September 1, the station instead retained MyNetworkTV as a secondary affiliation, airing its programming between 10:00 p.m. and 12 midnight.

The troubled project came to an end largely due to an adverse business climate following the panic of 1893. Though much of the controversy about the Temple had centered on Carse as a woman, her fate was not unique among businessmen who took on similar ventures at that particular time. The problem was not Carse's management skills, rather it was a depression that ruined many of her lessees, and a building cycle that created a surplus of office spaces in the city. Unable to pay off the mortgage, the WTCU officially disaffiliated itself from the building, which became the property of the Field-Columbian Museum.

U Craiova 1948 Club Sportiv, commonly known as Universitatea Craiova (),or U Craiova is a Romanian a professional football team based in Craiova, Dolj County, currently playing in the Liga I, the top tier of the Romanian football league system. It was founded in 1948 as the football section of the CSU Craiova sports club, of which it was originally part of until 1991. During that period, it had won four national titles and five national cups. For the next two decades, its tradition was taken further by FC U Craiova, which was reorganised several times, disaffiliated and retroactively deemed as an unofficial successos.

In 1943 the St Marylebone Conservative and Constitutional Union was disaffiliated from the National Union of Conservative and Unionist Associations in favour of the rival St Marylebone Conservative Association, which had remained in existence since the 1932 split. At the 1945 general election, Cunningham-Reid retained the support of the Conservative and Constitutional Union, but was opposed by Wavell Wakefield, a former captain of the England national rugby union team, who received the Conservative Association's endorsement. Without official party support, Cunningham-Reid fared poorly, finishing third with only 11% of the votes. Wavell won the seat with a comfortable majority over the second-placed Labour candidate.

As secretary of the Scottish Council, Shaw initially focused on supporting the broader labour movement through World War I, while probably being personally opposed to the conflict. He strongly supported John Maclean when he was gaoled for his part in the events of Red Clydeside, but he subsequently became a firm opponent of the Communist Party of Great Britain, notably by manoeuvering to ensure that the communist Walton Newbold was not re-selected as the Labour candidate in Motherwell. In 1932, Shaw retired from active politics, and he resigned from the ILP later in the year, when it disaffiliated from the Labour Party. He spent his retirement supporting McNab's political career, until he died suddenly in 1942.

However, CULC would soon run into its own political difficulties. The political divisions among members were made clear as the club changed its name to Cambridge University Labour Society in 1927 and Cambridge University Labour and Socialist Club in 1928. As the national party confronted the divide created by the leadership’s response to the financial crisis in 1929, CULC 'feeling unwilling to tie itself officially to an apology for a Labour Government whose record it did not greatly admire', changed its name to Cambridge University Socialist Society and disaffiliated from the national Labour Party in 1930. But it had a home in Cambridge; its economic position was shared by most members of the local party and, crucially, Alex Wood.

Kimberley Atlético Club is an Argentine sports club based in the Villa Devoto district of Buenos Aires. In 2006 Kimberley rejoined AFA to compete in the futsal tournaments organised by the Association.

The University of Regina is a public research university located in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Founded in 1911 as a private denominational high school of the Methodist Church of Canada,later the United Church of Canada, at the time there were also in Regina denominational private schools operated by the Church of England, the Roman Catholic Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions and Jesuit Order, and some few years later, the Lutherans. Vide infra. it began an association with the University of Saskatchewan as a junior college in 1925, and was disaffiliated by the Church and fully ceded to the University in 1934; in 1961 it attained degree-granting status as the Regina Campus of the University of Saskatchewan.

The ISN has been deeply involved in the movement against the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the occupation of Palestine. It disaffiliated from the Irish Anti-War Movement in 2004,ISN Disaffiliates from IAWM by Paul Moloney and has since joined Anti-War Ireland – a group committed to anti-imperialism, a diversity of tactics in bringing an end to imperialism, democratic internal structures, non-sectarian behavior, and competence in its activity. Kultura Popullore (Folkloric Culture) is a quarterly magazine published in Tirana, Albania by the Centre of Albanological Studies. It publishes scientific articles on different fields of Albanian ethnography and folklore.Kultura Popullore, Publisher: Qendra e Studimeve Albanologjike The magazine started in 1980, as one of scientific magazines of the Albanian Academy of Sciences, specifically the Institute of Folkloric Culture, established in 1979 by merging the former Institute of Folklore with the Ethnography Section of the Institute of History, both branches of the Academy of Science. With the creation of the Centre of Albanological Studies in 1980, the Institute of Folkloric Culture merged into it and disaffiliated with the Academy, carrying over all its periodicals.

On June 8, 2017, the team dissolved after the owner of chiapas Carlos Lopez Chargoy with their coaching staff and players. But a week later, the president of Liga MX announced that the team is disaffiliated and made bail to pay what is due. The next day, a soccer team would return to Chiapas, but it would have to play in Liga Premier de Mexico. She remained with the Labour Party after the ILP disaffiliated, and stood unsuccessfully in Clapham at the 1935 general election, before winning election to London County Council in 1937, representing Limehouse. While on the council, she successfully lobbied for midwives to continue in employment after marriage.

Decision 2001-509 In this sense, CTV as it presently operates could be seen as an enlarged BBS by another name, rather than the direct successor to the "original" CTV; however, for most viewers, this is a technicality of little practical significance. Baton's independents and newly disaffiliated CHRO were sold to CHUM Limited, becoming NewNet stations; however CTVglobemedia (now Bell Media), Baton's successor as a corporate entity, reacquired them as part of its purchase of CHUM Limited in 2007. These stations are now operated by Bell Media under the CTV Two banner. Baton's CBC affiliates were later sold to the public broadcaster, and became repeaters of other CBC owned-and-operated stations.

The United Farmers of Ontario had affiliated with the CCF but disaffiliated immediately prior to the 1934 election due to a row over suspected Communist infiltration of the party. Accordingly, two UFO nominated candidates, incumbent MLA Farquhar Oliver (Grey South) and Leslie Warner Oke, former MLA for Lambton East, ran as UFO candidates rather than with the CCF. Oliver was re-elected and would subsequently support the Hepburn government. Earl Hutchinson of Kenora was re-elected as a Labour MLA but resigns a month later in order to allow Peter Heenan, a former Labour MLA in the riding, to contest Kenora in a by-election as a Liberal so that he could be appointed to Cabinet.

But Feldman was unable to overcome all the union's organizational and political problems. In late July 1998, about 3,500 members of the AFT's health care division, almost all of them in Rhode Island, disaffiliated due to a disagreement about the union's willingness to spend money organizing new members. The health care workers subsequently formed an independent union, the United Nurses and Allied Professionals, and later raided several AFT health care locals in Rhode Island and Vermont. Over the next six years of Feldman's presidency, AFT attempted to expand its organizing capacity, build state-level capacity to service existing units and organize new ones, and work with the John Sweeney administration at the AFL-CIO to reinvigorate the labor movement.

All Boys won its first game in Primera in the 3rd fixture, when the "Albo" beat Progresista by 3–1. In 1931 All Boys returned to Primera División All Boys disaffiliated from the Association in 1926 but the team returned to Segunda División one year later when both associations merged into one. In 1931, All Boys was promoted a second time, remaining in Primera until 1934 when the Amateur Association joined Professional league and all its teams were relegated. In 1945 the team went down to the second division for the first time, but next year All Boys won the Tercera de Ascenso championship after defeating Justo José de Urquiza 2–1.

Though the larceny charge was dismissed in 1985, after a lengthy battle to clear her name, she was fired from her job and became a full-time activist. As her employment opportunities had been limited by the accusations and subsequent arrests, at times, she had to rely on family for support. The following year, she and other women involved with the Working People's Alliance (WPA) co-founded Red Thread, as a grass-roots activist organization to assist rural communities and women in the Afro-Guyanese, Amerindian and Indo-Guyanese populations. Initially their efforts focused on education and political rights, but in 1993, de Souza disaffiliated with the WPA, becoming a full-time coordinator for Red Thread.

1900 CURCC team In 1982, Peñarol became the first club in the world to win the Intercontinental Cup for a third time (the previous had been in 1961 and 1966, displayed on the image) Peñarol played 26 seasons of the Uruguay Association Football League, from its creation in 1900 until the end of the amateur era in 1931 (absent 1923–26, when the club was disaffiliated from the AUF). During this period Peñarol won the Uruguayan Championship nine times, with its best years in 1900 and 1905 (when the club won the championship without conceding any points). Peñarol was undefeated in 1901, 1903 and 1907.Moreover, in 1903 CURCC did not lose during the regular season, but lost the tiebreaker final against Nacional 2–3.

In 2005, SEIU was a founding member of the Change to Win Coalition, which furthered the reformist agenda, criticizing the AFL-CIO for focusing its attention on electoral politics, instead of encouraging organizing in the face of decreasing union membership. These differences boiled over on the eve of the 2005 AFL-CIO convention, as the SEIU and Teamsters announced that they were disaffiliating from the AFL-CIO. The Change to Win Federation held its founding convention in September 2005, where SEIU Secretary-Treasurer Anna Burger was announced as the organization's chair. In the following decade, several Change to Win members disaffiliated and re-joined the AFL-CIO, leaving SEIU, the Teamsters, and the United Farm Workers as the remaining members.

In the 1998 election to succeed Carey, James P. Hoffa was elected handily. He became president of the Teamsters on March 19, 1999, and took the union in a more moderate direction, tempering the union's support for Democrats and attempting to come to terms with powerful Republicans in Congress. The union has merged in recent years with a number of unions from other industries, including the Graphic Communications International Union, a printing industry union, and the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employes and Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, both from the railway industry. On July 25, 2005, the Teamsters disaffiliated from the AFL–CIO and became a founding member of the new national trade union center, the Change to Win Federation.

As of January 2017, no private CBC affiliates remain (the last such station disaffiliated in September 2016), and stations that have left the network since the mid-2000s have generally not been replaced. Indeed, the public broadcaster shut down most of its own TV rebroadcast transmitters in 2012, and now relies instead on cable and satellite carriage of its O&Os; in regions outside the largest markets. The CBC's main French-language network, Ici Radio-Canada Télé, is the only French- language network in Canada that has O&Os; located outside Quebec. The network maintains an O&O; in each province except in Atlantic Canada, where CBAFT (based in Moncton, New Brunswick) previously served the entire region via relay transmitters (and remains available on cable/satellite).

Bruner was born in Leamington, Ontario in 1923. In his early days Bruner sang in Wayne King's Detroit orchestra, but soon found his way into broadcasting by helping to establish the Toronto-based television station CFTO-TV, which went on the air in 1961. However, Bruner's eyes turned to Hamilton when the founder of CHCH-TV, Ken Soble, asked him to become the sales manager at his station, which had recently become disaffiliated with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, and was the first independent television station in Canada. With the financial backing of Power Corporation of Canada, Soble put forward a proposal to the Board of Broadcast Governors in 1966 for a national television network which would broadcast by satellite, with CHCH as its flagship.

WIBW-TV first signed its second digital subchannel on the air on September 5, 2006 as a primary affiliate of MyNetworkTV and a secondary affiliate of the multicultural television network Colours TV. In September 2009, WIBW-DT2 became a secondary affiliate of This TV, carrying a mix of syndicated programming to fill select evening time periods otherwise occupied by feature film content from the network. The subchannel disaffiliated from This TV on September 10, 2012, and switched its secondary affiliation to MeTV (both networks were owned at the time by Weigel Broadcasting). MeTV programming airs on WIBW-DT2 during the late morning, afternoon and overnight hours as well as much of the weekend schedule outside of late afternoon and evening timeslots.

The union was taken over by moderate left-wing members in the 1980s in a push associated with Lindsay Tanner. The FCU was the first of four unions disaffiliated after the split of 1955 to attempt to return at the ALP Victorian State Conference in 1983. The Federated Clerks' case, 'after a bitter and at times acrimonious 3 and a 1/2 hour debate', which was 'centered on alleged links' with Santamaria, the National Civic Council, and the Industrial Action Fund, was defeated at the State Conference by 289 votes to 189. It was noted in a news report of the time that all four unions were likely to appeal to the federal ALP executive and that they had the support of then Prime Minister Bob Hawke.

CBLT served much of Ontario through a network of over 35 rebroadcast transmitters, including all of Northeastern Ontario and most of Southwestern Ontario, with the exception of Windsor since CBET-DT serves the Windsor area. The station only served Southern Ontario and a few rural Northern Ontario communities until 2002, when it took over the CBC affiliates of the MCTV twinstick.Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2002-303 CBLGT in Geraldton and the CBLAT transmitters had operated since the early 1970s, while others were added as other CBC affiliates disaffiliated from the network or were bought by CBC. On August 16, 2011, the CRTC granted the CBC permission to continue operating 22 analogue repeaters within mandatory markets, including those in London and Kitchener.

The German Transport Workers' Union (, DTV) was a trade union representing transport workers in Germany. The union was founded in 1897 as the Association of Commercial, Transport and Communication Workers, and it affiliated to the General Commission of German Trade Unions. It grew rapidly, with the German Railway Workers' Union joining in 1908, and the Union of Dockers of Germany and the Central Union of Sailors of Germany both joining in 1910, taking membership to 230,000 by 1913. Although the Railway Workers disaffiliated in 1916, as the German Railway Union, the DTV embarked on a series of further mergers: with the German Porters' Union in 1919, the Central Union of German Post and Telegraph Staff in 1921, and the Union of Domestic Workers of Germany in 1923.

The Association was founded in 1939 as an independent organization initially named the "National Council of Private Motor Truck Operators" after attempts during the 1930s to organize a special private truck conference of the American Trucking Associations (ATA) failed. In 1947, the ATA created a competing organization called "The Private Carrier Conference (PCC)" and it became the largest affiliate of the ATA. In 1953 the National Council of Private Motor Truck Operators changed its name to the "Private Truck Council of America" (PTCA). For over forty years, the PCC and the PTCA operated separately as competitors representing the private fleet trucking industry in Washington, D.C. In 1987 the PCC disaffiliated with the ATA and renamed itself the "National Private Trucking Association" (NPTA).

In accordance with the wartime electoral truce, the Labour and Liberal parties declined to stand candidates but Grigg was opposed by a representative of the Independent Labour Party (ILP), Fenner Brockway.The Times, 6 April 1942 p2 Brockway was originally a journalist but became active on the left of British politics. He had been a pacifist and was imprisoned during World War I for opposing conscription and later for being a conscientious objector but his anti-fascism, particularly his support for the Republicans in the Spanish Civil War softened his anti-militarism. He had been Labour MP for Leyton East from 1929-1931 but after the 1931 general election the ILP disaffiliated en masse from the Labour Party and formed a separate political party.

Hindi said that the animal rights groups would protest at the rodeo only and not during the torch relay and the 2002 Winter Olympics if the SLOC disaffiliated itself from the rodeo. Hindi said, "If there is no connection between the Olympics and the rodeo, there would be no reason for us to protest at the Games." Hindi said he hoped that ticket holders would request refunds if the rodeo was no longer a part of the Cultural Olympiad. Hindi scheduled a debate about rodeo at the Salt Lake City Public Library on January 2, 2002, with five people, three of whom were Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association executives and two of whom were Deseret News columnists who had questioned the animal rights activists' tactics.

Dublin are the most successful county in the women's field sport of camogie, During the period from 1932 to 1966 they had nearly one- third of the affiliated clubs in the Association and won all but eight of the championships they contested, winning a ten consecutively and an eight consecutively in a period interrupted only by a controversial 1956 All-Ireland semi-final defeat to Antrim. In a period of revival they won three National Camogie League titles in 1979–1983 and the 1984 All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship. The total could have been greater had not Dublin County Board disaffiliated during two periods of unrest in the 1940s. Three Dublin clubs have won the All-Ireland Senior Club Camogie Championship, Austin Stacks (1971 and 1972), Eoghan Ruadh (1967), and Crumlin (1985).

Leslie Driffield, a member of the BA&CC; Council was present at a meeting where the Council nominated him as the challenger to Rex Williams for the professional Billiards Championship. Williams declined to play Driffield within the five months time limit that the BA&CC; Council had set, which expired on 7 July 1970, and forfeited the title, which was then contested between Driffield and Jack Karnehm in June 1971. On 1 October 1970, the Professional Billiard Players Association, which had been reestablished in 1968 Williams and seven other players, disaffiliated from the BA&CC.; The Professional Billiard Players Association changed its name to the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association on 12 December 1970, and declared itself the governing body for the professional game, recognising Williams as champion.

In 2002, XHFTX, along with XHFOX in Reynosa, disaffiliated from Fox, with the station changing its call sign to XHLAR-TV; Fox programming was reportedly replaced on cable with KABB. It would be about five years before Laredo would get another local Fox affiliate, KXOF-CA. XHLAR then became Televisa Nuevo Laredo, carrying local programming as well as re- airs of programs from the other Televisa networks, including series from Canal 5 and live sports from Gala TV. Beginning in February 2013, XHLAR started broadcasting in digital on channel 38.1 (virtual 57.1); it started broadcasting in 1080i HD in March 2014. In 2018, the concessions of all Las Estrellas stations were consolidated in the concessionaire Televimex, S.A. de C.V., as part of a corporate reorganization of Televisa's concessionaires.

On June 3, 2011, the FMF disaffiliated the Tiburones Rojos because of a failure of payments to the FMF. The Federacion Mexicana de Futbol Asociacion, AC informs that the Ordinary General Assembly at its meeting today, once it analyzed the situation of Representaciones Soha, Inc., SA de CV, (Club Veracruz and / or Club Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz), a member of the Liga de Ascenso, The Mexican Football Federation, AC unanimously decided, with its power under Articles 17, 25 and other related and applicable Statute of the FMF, revoke the Certificate of Membership and consequently disaffiliate such an entity, for failing to meet its financial obligations to FMF and its affiliates. After that announcement, it was accorded between Veracruz and Albinegros de Orizaba to unify their teams after the debts the team had.

A number of Western Australian unions disaffiliated from the Australian Labor Federation to support the National Labor movement—most notably those representing the engine-drivers, railway employees, boilermakers and carpenters which were powerful in the goldfields. Organisationally, however, the party was believed to be over-dependent on its Senate patrons and struggled to build a genuine extraparliamentary organisation. The party scored six of 50 Assembly seats in each of the 1917 and 1921 elections, and held three of 30 Council seats during this period. However, in the 1924 elections, their representation was reduced to one in the Assembly and two in the Council—many through the defeat of sitting NLP members by Labor candidates—and later that year, what remained of the Party was subsumed by the Nationalists.

In 1974 the O&MFL; was disaffiliated by the Victorian Country Football League (VCFL) when the O&MFL; refused to accept an application from the Lavington Football Club to join the league. By this stage the football club was based at the Lavington Sports Club, an established licensed club, and was strong enough to field teams in both the Tallangatta League and Hume Football League the following year. The makeup of the competition remained stable until 1979, when Corowa and Rutherglen merged into Corowa-Rutherglen, and the Lavington Football Club was finally admitted from the Farrer Football League, so the number of clubs remained at ten. Lavington's home ground, the Lavington Sports Club Oval, provided an ideal venue for many sports as the sports club gradually developed it after its construction in the 1970s.

The organisation was founded as the Organisation of Labour Students (SOLS) in 1970/71, however it is a direct descendant of the Scottish Association of Labour Student Organisations (SALSO) which had existed since 1946. In the 1960s SALSO's UK equivalent, the National Association of Labour Student Organisations (NALSO), was taken over by Trotskyists and disaffiliated from the Labour Party. SALSO, however, successfully resisted any take-over attempts. SOLS remained famous for its hostility to Trotskyism and its members were key to recovering control of the National Organisation of Labour Students, NOLS, from the Militant tendency in 1975 and the following year SOLS members took the famous "icepick express" (a bus with an icepick - the weapon used to kill Leon Trotsky - attached to the front) to that year's NOLS conference at Lancaster University.

An unnamed official within the party told the AP that Ventura and Trump discussed a scenario where Ventura would run as the presidential nominee of the disaffiliated party with Trump as his running mate. The chairman of the Minnesota Reform Party denied Ventura would be part of any presidential ticket. After privately notifying Trump of his intentions and seeking his blessing, Ventura held a press conference on February 12 and officially left the national Reform Party, remaining a member of his state party, which he urged to disaffiliate and return to its original name, the Independence Party of Minnesota. He voiced dissatisfaction with the presidential contest, explaining that Pat Buchanan was running "virtually unopposed" and receiving support from former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke; something with which Ventura could not associate.

To accommodate the Mountain Time Zone (which usually does not carry any live programming with the Eastern and Central time zones and airs it on an hour delay), ABC rotated the usual 7p.m. MT program, Wipeout to air at 8p.m. MT instead out of Rising Star. Additionally, the network's affiliates in the Caribbean Sea region, including Aguadilla, Puerto Rico's WPRU-LP and WSVI in the United States Virgin Islands (which have since disaffiliated from the network) broadcast the series live, despite being an hour ahead in the Atlantic Time Zone (as they both take ABC's Eastern feed an hour ahead except during daylight saving in which Eastern Time is at the same time as in the Atlantic Time Zone for these regions due to not observing daylight saving time.).

The entrance to the Bosworth Building Saint Ann's School was founded in 1965 with 63 students and seven teachers in the basement of the St. Ann's Episcopal Church under the aegis of the vestry of the church and several interested parents. In 1966, the Church purchased the former Crescent Athletic Club House, a building designed by noted Brooklyn architect Frank Freeman, for the sum of $365,000, which has since served as the school's main building.Gray, Christopher: "129 Pierrepont Street in Brooklyn Heights; 1906 Building, Once an Athletic Club, Now a School", The New York Times, August 13, 2000. Stanley Bosworth (1927–2011) became its first headmaster. In 1982, Saint Ann's School formally disaffiliated from the church, having been granted a charter from the Board of Regents of the State of New York.

In 2006, the Maryland Constitution Party disaffiliated from the national party along with other state parties following a schism at the national party's 2006 convention, in which it failed to disaffiliate the Nevada party despite its chairman and gubernatorial candidate's support for legal abortion in some cases. Peroutka stated "At this point I could not, in good faith, represent the Constitution Party nor endorse any of its candidates. Unless serious changes occur, I could not run for President in 2008."TAMPA I: The Way I See It … Still: An Open Letter to the Executive Committee, National Committee and Membership of the Constitution Party From Michael Anthony Peroutka Peroutka's supporters, however, collected enough signatures to get his name approved as a write-in candidate in Georgia for the 2008 presidential election.

U Craiova 1948 is a Romanian professional football team based in Craiova, Dolj County, currently playing in Liga II. In 1991, promptly after the CS Universitatea Craiova sports club dissolved its football department, Fotbal Club Universitatea Craiova took its place in the first division. It was generally considered the same entity with the old club, and continued its tradition for the next two decades, but was reorganised multiple times and retroactively deemed an unofficial successor. FC U's only major honour would be the 1992–93 Cupa României, although it also claims the four national titles and five national cups won between 1948 and 1991. FC U Craiova was disaffiliated by the Romanian Football Federation in May 2012, following their temporary banishment since July 2011, and consequently retired from every competition.

That October, he took the IBSF World Billiards Championship title. Karnehm turned professional in 1970, and was a challenger for the world title in 1971 and 1973, losing to Leslie Driffield and Rex Williams respectively. He was Chairman of the Billiards Association and Control Council when the Council nominated Leslie Driffield as the challenger to reigning champion Rex Williams for the professional Billiards Championship. In 1974 the DLP lost all its seats in the Senate, and was wound up a few years later. Santamaria ran the NCC in a highly personal and (according to his critics) autocratic way, and in 1982 there was a serious split in the organisation, with most of the trade unionists leaving it. The first of four unions disaffiliated after the split of 1955, attempted to return at the ALP Victorian State Conference in 1983. The Federated Clerks' Union and three others similarly aligned 'right-wing' unions – the Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees Association, the Federated Ironworkers' Association of Australia and the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters and Joiners – had their re-affiliation cases considered by a special Victorian ALP committee of ten which split on the decision 5 against 5 and had submitted separate reports to the State Conference.

Lomas Athletic Club is an Argentine sports club from the Lomas de Zamora district of Greater Buenos Aires. One of Argentina's oldest clubs still in existence, Lomas is one of the four institutions that founded the "River Plate Rugby Championship" (current Argentine Rugby Union) in 1899,"Hechos históricos de la Unión" at UAR website The rugby union team currently plays in Primera A, the second division of the URBA league system. Lomas Athletic is also considered the first great football team of Argentina, having won six consecutive titles between 1893 and 1898, although the team disaffiliated from the Association in 1909 and the sport is no longer practised at the club. Lomas has also had a prevailing role in field hockey, with the female section being the most winning team in Argentina with 18 Metropolitano championships won, a record shared with Quilmes.

CFRN disaffiliated from CBC Television on September 30, 1961, as that network established its own station in Edmonton, CBXT (channel 5). On October 1 of that year, CFRN-TV became an affiliate of the CTV Television Network, receiving its programming via microwave relay during hours when the CBC was not using it, and time-delaying programs via videotape. Two more rebroadcasting stations were added at Whitecourt and Ashmont in 1966. In September 1966, network colour transmission started, with local colour facilities for program and commercial production being installed in 1970, and a mobile colour television unit became operational in 1975. More rebroadcasting stations were added at Lac La Biche (1968), Grande Prairie and Peace River (1970), Rocky Mountain House and Crimson Lake (1971), Red Deer (1973) and Slave Lake, Grouard and Lougheed (1979), Jasper (1992) and Athabasca (1993).

However, this period also witnessed some tragic events – the Jalianwala Bagh massacre at Amritsar and riots in Gujranwala in reaction thereto, imposition of Martial Law and bombardment of Khalsa School Boarding House and the playgrounds. During this very period, Mahatma Gandhi and Lajpat Rai visited Gujranwala in June 1921 (because Section 144 had been clamped at Lahore and they could not arrange any public meeting there), addressed a responsive public gathering there and gave a call to the people to join the non-cooperation programme of the Congress. Both addressed the students of Guru Nanak Khalsa College as well. In such circumstances, the management was hard pressed to get the college disaffiliated from the Punjab University, Lahore and allow therein the launch of Basic Education programme based on vocational/skill training, as advocated by Mahatma Gandhi.

However, Univision was still in the midst of an affiliation agreement with WCIU, which did not expire until December 31, 1994; as a result, Univision was forced to run WGBO as an English language independent station for five months until that station's affiliation contract with the network expired. On January 1, 1995, WGBO formally switched to Spanish language programming when it became a Univision owned-and-operated station – giving the network a full-time presence in the market for the first time since 1989, when the network disaffiliated from WSNS-TV to return to WCIU. Most of WGBO's entertainment programming inventory was sold to WCIU. That same year, Oshkosh, Wisconsin radio station WVBO asked WGBO for permission to use the call letters WGBO-FM for its planned simulcast feed in Green Bay (to stand for " _G_ reen _B_ ay _O_ ldies").

The Fabulous Moolah, recognized by WWE as having held the WWF Women's Championship for 27 years In 1983, the Fabulous Moolah, who was the NWA World Women's Champion and legal owner of the title, joined the WWF and sold them the rights to the title after they disaffiliated from the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and recognized her as the first WWF Women's Champion. Additionally, the WWF also recognized Moolah as having been champion ever since first winning the title from Judy Grable in 1956 and disregarded other reigns or title losses that occurred during the title's existence in the NWA. Thus, The Fabulous Moolah's reign was considered to have lasted 27 years by the promotion. WWF also introduced the WWF Women's Tag Team Championship with Velvet McIntyre and Princess Victoria recognized as the first champions after also defecting from the NWA.

The Anglican Church of Rwanda is a member of the Global South (Anglican) and the Global Anglican Future Conference, and has been involved in the Anglican realignment. Their opposition to departures from the conservative Anglican faith taken in North America led them to start a missionary organization, the Anglican Mission in the Americas, in the United States and Canada, and to support the creation of the Anglican Church in North America, of which the Anglican Mission in the Americas was a founding member, in June 2009. The AMiA changed its status to ministry partner in 2010, which it was until December 2011, when it disaffiliated from the Anglican Church of Rwanda. Archbishops Onesphore Rwaje and Robert Duncan of the Anglican Church in North America issued a Joint Communiqué on April 28, 2012, to address the future of the AMiA.

KAMR subsequently vacated its longtime studio facility on North Polk and Northeast 24th Streets, and relocated its operations south to KCIT/KCPN's Fillmore Street facility. KCPN disaffiliated from UPN on September 16, 2002, after the network reached an affiliation agreement with Drewry Communications to carry its programming on KZBZ-LP (channel 46, later KTXC-LP). The affiliation switch occurred two weeks after the September 1 launch of KFDA's digital television signal (the first television station to begin digital broadcasting operations in the Amarillo market), which began carrying a simulcast of KZBZ on virtual channel 10.3; KFDA also reached an agreement with Cox Communications (its Amarillo service area is now served by Suddenlink Communications) to carry the low-powered KZBZ on channel 6 to avoid disrupting access to UPN programming in the market. KCPN replaced UPN network programming with a mix of off-network syndicated programming during prime time.

In the ensuing "Downgrade Controversy," the Metropolitan Tabernacle disaffiliated from the Baptist Union, effectuating Spurgeon's congregation as the world's largest self-standing church. Spurgeon framed the controversy in this way: > Believers in Christ's atonement are now in declared union with those who > make light of it; believers in Holy Scripture are in confederacy with those > who deny plenary inspiration; those who hold evangelical doctrine are in > open alliance with those who call the fall a fable, who deny the personality > of the Holy Ghost, who call justification by faith immoral, and hold that > there is another probation after death... It is our solemn conviction that > there should be no pretence of fellowship. Fellowship with known and vital > error is participation in sin.

In September 1998, Nielsen merged the Tuscaloosa and Anniston–Gadsden markets back into the Birmingham market as a result of the consolidation of WCFT, WJSU, and WBMA-LP into Birmingham's ABC affiliate two years earlier, which expanded the designated market area to encompass nearly the entire width of the state, stretching from the Alabama–Georgia state line westward to the Mississippi–Alabama border. The move benefited all of the major Birmingham stations as it increased their available viewership in the three cities and resulted in the newly expanded market's placement in Nielsen's national market rankings jumping by twelve spots from 51st to 39th place. In May 1999, WNAL disaffiliated from CBS, and converted into an independent station targeting Anniston, Gadsden and surrounding areas. The CBS affiliation rights for Central Alabama were then ceded exclusively to WIAT, which became the network's sole affiliate for the enlarged Birmingham market.

KMBC-TV also serves as an alternate ABC affiliate for the St. Joseph market (which borders the northern portions of the Kansas City Designated Market Area), as its transmitter also produces a city-grade signal that reaches St. Joseph proper and rural areas in the market's central and southern counties. The station is also available in that market on select cable providers (including Suddenlink Communications) as a secondary ABC outlet to KQTV (channel 2), which has served as the network's official St. Joseph station since it became a full-time affiliate in June 1967; KMBC-TV's near-ubiquitous cable distribution in St. Joseph dates back to KQTV's former status as a primary CBS affiliate from its September 1953 sign-on until the former KFEQ-TV disaffiliated from that network in 1967, a period in which the station supplemented its CBS offerings with a limited selection of ABC programs.

The Provincial Council of the Anglican Church in North America, held on December 11, 2009, in Toronto, Canada, accepted as a full member the Gulf Atlantic Diocese and recognized Neil Lebhar as their first bishop. On April 30, 2012, Lebhar announced in his pastoral letter that John E. Miller, III, from Melbourne, Florida, of the Anglican Mission in the Americas, recently disaffiliated from the Anglican Church of Rwanda, would be received at the Gulf Atlantic Diocese as an Assisting Bishop for at least six months, as a temporary measure until the future of the AMiA is defined. It was also suggested the possible affiliation of some of his 20 congregations to the Diocese.Gulf Atlantic Diocese of the ACNA Announces New Assisting Bishop, April 30, 2012 Miller, as an Assisting Bishop, a newly created position, will be in charge of the process of transition of the AMiA parishes.

The breakage was related with (among other reasons) the brown amateurism, an undercover way of professionalism where the clubs informally paid salaries and special prizes to their players."¿A qué hora jugamos?" by Luis M. Leguizamón, Static editions The 13 clubs that had been disaffiliated or expelled from the AFA joined forces to form a new association with the purpose to organise their own championships. The "Asociación Amateurs de Football" was officially established on 22 September 1919, with an assembly held in the Jockey Club on 6 December."Memoria y Balance Asociación Amateurs de Football 1919–1921" – AFA website On the other hand, Boca Juniors, Estudiantes (LP), Eureka, Huracán, Porteño and Sportivo Almagro remained affiliated to the official body. On 28 September, both competitions started, the official (AFA) with only those six teams and the dissident (AAmF) with 14 teams (including the addition of Vélez Sarsfield).

A year later in 2000, Emmis purchased CBS affiliate KGMB, effectively bringing Hawaii's two oldest television stations under common ownership, though both stations retained separate operations—unlike what would become the common operational structure of most duopolies. Emmis received a cross-ownership waiver to acquire KGMB as FCC duopoly rules prohibit two of the four highest-rated stations in the same market from being owned by one company. From September 2002 to October 2004, KHON carried select UPN programming via a secondary affiliation shared with KGMB; each station aired programs from that network that the other station did not air. The two stations began carrying UPN programming in September 2002 after KFVE (which had been with UPN since its January 1995 launch) disaffiliated from the network to become a full-time affiliate of The WB (whose programming aired on KFVE in a secondary capacity since December 1998).

At that time, the WWE did not exist and did not become a company until 1963 when it was established as the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF). Moolah, who bought the rights to the championship in the 1970s, defended the championship as the NWA World Women's Champion up until May 19, 1984; by this time, the WWWF had been renamed to World Wrestling Federation (WWF). In 1983, the WWF disaffiliated with the NWA and Moolah sold the championship's rights to the WWF in 1984, and she was recognized as the WWF Women's Champion. Instead of beginning her reign in 1984, the WWF claimed the lineage of her reign from when she first became champion in 1956.

WTTO/WDBB relaunched its second subchannel as an affiliate of The Country Network on October 26, 2010; the subchannel disaffiliated from ZUUS Country on July 1, 2014, when it began carrying the classic movie network GetTV, as a result of a channel lease agreement with Sinclair that involved 33 of the company's stations. As a result of WDBB becoming a simulcaster of WBMA-LD on its second subchannel in October 2014, WTTO and WDBB only simulcast the former's main programming feed, choosing to reallocate bandwidth space on WDBB's signal to transmit WBMA's programming feed in high definition on digital channel 17.2. On January 4, 2016, as part of a groupwide affiliation agreement with the network spurred by the network's acquisition of rights to reruns of The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, WTTO switched the affiliation of its second digital subchannel to Antenna TV; this resulted in the displacement of GetTV (Now TBD) to a newly created fourth digital subchannel of the station.

On January 16, 1995, WABM became the Birmingham charter affiliate of the United Paramount Network (UPN). However, it essentially continued to program as an independent station, since UPN only provided prime time programming on Monday and Tuesday evenings when the network launched (and would not carry five nights a week of programming until September 1998). It was one of three stations unaffected by the September 1996 affiliation switches that saw WBRC become a Fox owned-and-operated station, and its longtime ABC affiliation move to WBMA-LD (channel 58) and former CBS affiliates WCFT-TV (channel 33, now Heroes & Icons affiliate WSES) in Tuscaloosa and WJSU-TV (channel 40, now Heroes & Icons affiliate WGWW) in Anniston. In March 1998, WABM disaffiliated from UPN over concerns by Sinclair over ratings and monetary issues, as other stations owned by the company did in several additional markets following Sinclair's signing of a lucrative affiliation deal with The WB (which WTTO/WDBB affiliated with in an unrelated deal two years earlier).

Long-term issues with Labour Students. Here we list a few issues brought to the attention of the Hull University Labour Club executive committee: The problematic selection of NUS candidates, The cost of Labour Students events, The separation of the Student movement from the Youth movement, The undemocratic elections of the national executive committee, General cronyism, Exclusion of periphery groups (such as Hull) and General inaction and mismanagement. At the time they were one of 11 University clubs to disaffiliate from the organisation leading to an internal review and the promise of a vote from the incoming president on one of the main aims of the disaffiliated club, the introduction of One Member One Vote elections as opposed to the delegate system that is currently in place. This protest was successful and led not only to the introduction of OMOV but also the re- affiliation of HULC to Labour Students in 2016.

The first of four unions disaffiliated after the split of 1955, attempted to return at the ALP Victorian State Conference in 1983. The Federated Clerks and three other similarly aligned 'right-wing' unions – the Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees Association, the Federated Ironworkers' Association of Australia and the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters and Joiners – had their re-affiliation cases considered by a special Victorian ALP committee of ten which split on the decision 5 for and against 5 and had submitted separate reports to the State Conference. The Federated Clerks' case, 'after a bitter and at times acrimonious 3 and a 1/2 hour debate', which was 'centered on alleged links' with Santamaria, the National Civic Council, and the Industrial Action Fund, was defeated at the State Conference by 289 votes to 189. It was noted in a news report of the time that all four were likely to appeal to the federal ALP executive and that they had the support of then Prime Minister Bob Hawke.

Since 2017, ZOE Broadcasting Network and ABS-CBN Corporation were reportedly held talks for possible airtime lease of Channel 11 or acquisition of the network itself if the issues regarding ABS-CBN's now-expired broadcast franchise were ever floated. Reports of a blocktime agreement between ABS-CBN and ZOE begins to surface after the Congress rejected ABS-CBN franchise renewal in July 2020, with a tentative schedule offering for broadcasting 22 hours of airtime on Channel 11, and ABS-CBN programs such as Ang Probinsyano, ASAP Natin 'To!, It's Showtime, and TV Patrol were being shopped to air on ZOE TV. On October 6, 2020, through separate statements, ABS-CBN and ZOE TV publicly announced its blocktime partnership and the rebranding of Channel 11 to A2Z, more than a year after being disaffiliated from GMA News TV and five months after Channel 2 shutdown. The announcement comes a day after Sky Cable, ABS-CBN cable television arm, added ZOE TV 11 to the channel lineup.

The distinction of being the Bay Area's only O&O; station ended in 1995 when several other stations in the San Francisco-Oakland market became network- owned stations over the next twenty years—including KBHK (now KBCW) becoming a charter member of UPN (in which the station's then-owner was a partner) in 1995, KPIX becoming a CBS O&O; with the network's 1995 merger with Westinghouse, KNTV becoming an NBC O&O; in 2002 after being bought by the network after it disaffiliated from KRON-TV, and KTVU becoming a Fox O&O; in 2015 after being acquired by the network alongside sister station KICU-TV a year prior (although KICU remains an independent station due to KRON-TV's affiliation with MyNetworkTV). After ABC sold Detroit's WXYZ-TV to Scripps–Howard Broadcasting in 1986 as part of the Capital Cities/ABC merger, KGO-TV went on to be the longest-serving ABC O&O; outside of New York, Los Angeles and Chicago.

In 1961, CHCH disaffiliated itself from the CBC and became an independent station. There were three reasons for disaffiliating from CBC: Hamilton is part of the Toronto market, and Toronto- based CBLT already provided full network service to some of CHCH's viewing area; CBLT was about to increase its transmitter power and change frequencies (from VHF channel 9 to channel 6, and eventually channel 5), resulting in a near-100 percent overlap with CHCH; and the station's managers wanted to produce more local programming, instead of being forced to carry CBC programming. CHCH-TV logo used from the introduction of colour television in 1966 until 1987. CHCH became the first (and for over a decade, the only) television station in Canada not to be affiliated with any network, as the other private stations (which signed on the air in 1960 or early 1961) that were not affiliated with the CBC had formed the CTV network in October 1961.

WVTV finally picked up the WB affiliation on January 5, 1998, and changed its on-air branding to "WB 18"; the same day, WCGV disaffiliated from UPN as a part of the same agreement. With The WB's drive to have stations in other markets take the network and pushing market exclusivity for those stations, Sinclair made the decision to begin winding down carriage agreements with providers outside of the Milwaukee and Green Bay markets, ending WVTV's status as a regional superstation. Sinclair also wanted to push viewership to WCGV, though it soon restored its UPN affiliation in August 1998 due to a ratings plunge and a conciliatory agreement to restore the network between UPN and Sinclair. WVTV finally became wholly owned by Sinclair in 2000, after a long legal battle between Sinclair and Jesse Jackson and his Rainbow/PUSH coalition about the racial issues of one concern holding two broadcast licenses in a market.

Cover of a pamphlet by the Left Wing Group of the ILP, published in Glasgow in the summer of 1920 Following the termination of World War I in November 1918, the Second International was effectively relaunched and the question of whether the ILP should affiliate with this renewed Second International or with some other international grouping loomed large. The majority of ILP members saw the old Second International as hopelessly compromised by its support for the European bloodbath of 1914, and the ILP formally disaffiliated from the International in the spring of 1920. In January 1919, Moscow issued a call for the formation of a new Third International, a formation which held great appeal to a small section of the ILP's most radical members, including economist Emile Burns, journalist R. Palme Dutt, and the future Member of Parliament Shapurji Saklatvala, along with Charles Barber, Ernest H. Brown, Helen Crawfurd, C. H. Norman, and J. Wilson. They called themselves the Left Wing Group of the ILP.

On December 31, 2014, as a result of the network's decision to relegate its distribution to ABC's eight owned-and-operated stations, KSWO- DT3 disaffiliated from Live Well to become an affiliate of the movie-focused entertainment network This TV. With the affiliation switch, KSWO cancelled the prime time newscast, opting to carry feature films carried on the This TV network feed during that timeslot. The program, however, was brought back to the subchannel in May 2015, after KSWO-DT3 began preempting This TV programming each weeknight from 9:00 to 11:00 to run local news and off- network syndicated sitcoms, before reversing course and resuming carriage of the full This network schedule the following year. On January 1, 2018, KSWO- DT3 became an affiliate of MeTV (which was co-owned with This TV under Weigel Broadcasting ownership until November 2013, when Weigel transferred its interest in the latter to Tribune Broadcasting).

Emmis already owned KHON-TV, so it had to obtain a cross-ownership waiver for the purchase of KGMB from the Federal Communications Commission, to bypass the recently passed duopoly rules that forbid common ownership of two of the four highest-rated stations in a single market. This waiver was renewed several times while Emmis owned both stations. At that time, KHON moved its operations into KGMB's facility, though the two stations maintained separate news departments. From September 2002 to October 2004, KGMB carried select UPN programming via a secondary affiliation shared with KHON; each station aired programs from that network that the other station did not air. The two stations began carrying UPN programming in September 2002 after KFVE (which had been with UPN since its January 1995 launch) disaffiliated from the network to become a full-time affiliate of The WB (whose programming aired on KFVE in a secondary capacity since December 1998).

Kelshaw gradually withdrew from the life of the national church and, by the time of his retirement, Rio Grande was widely regarded as among the most conservative dioceses in the Episcopal Church. The extent to which Kelshaw's episcopate saw the development of a staunchly conservative approach in a sizable proportion of diocesan life was evident at the convention held to elect his successor, where the nominees included Martyn Minns, the high-profile conservative Rector of Truro Church (Fairfax, Virginia) who would go on, in June 2006, to be elected Missionary Bishop of the Convocation of Anglicans in North America (CANA), a missionary initiative of the Anglican Church of Nigeria primarily comprising congregations that have disaffiliated from the Episcopal Church. Steenson shared his predecessor's theological conservatism, though unlike Kelshaw, he came from an Anglo- Catholic background. He voiced repeated and increasing concern about the direction of the Episcopal Church, and ultimately determined he should resign his position and orders, and become a Roman Catholic.

UPN quietly went off the air on September 15, 2006, at 9:59 PM EDT, ending the network's existence after 11 years. Unlike The WB, which closed its operations two days later with a special called The Night of Favorites and Farewells, there was no promotion of UPN's signing off; rather, the network merely faded to black at the end of a WWE SmackDown telecast without any fanfare. However, the Fox-owned UPN stations disaffiliated from the network on August 31; as a result, UPN's last two weeks of programming did not air in ten markets where Fox owned a UPN affiliate that was set to become an owned-and-operated station of MyNetworkTV, when that network launched on September 5, along with other markets where the local UPN station affiliated with MyNetworkTV or terminated their UPN affiliation during the summer. WWE SmackDown, however, aired in those markets on Tribune's WB stations, including those that would join The CW shortly afterward.

Delta Upsilon's chapter at Brown University, which was organized in 1868, disaffiliated in 1967, reforming as a local known as Kappa Delta Upsilon (so named because it was the tenth chapter of Delta Upsilon and Kappa is the tenth letter of the Greek alphabet). The decision came after a decade of strained relations with the DU headquarters, originating in its decision to declare an emergency and dissolve the 1956 sitting of the Undergraduate Convention, a move it said was necessary to "prevent open dissension". (The preceding year, the Brown DU chapter had elected an African-American as chapter president causing the fraternity's new southern chapters to threaten a boycott of the convention.) Almost 20 years later, in 1986, the Brown chapter rejoined Delta Upsilon. Terry Bullock, then Delta Upsilon international president, wrote of the return of Brown that "there is no greater joy than the reconciliation of a family estranged for many years".

Aboriginal Advancement League (ATNS) The new League drew from two already existing organisations, the Australian Aborigines League, established 1934Australian Aborigines League – Institution – Reason in Revolt:Australian Aborigines League (1934- ) and the Save the Aborigines Committee, which had been established in 1955 as a response to the Warburton Ranges crisis. Founding President of the League was Gordon Bryant, with Doris Blackburn as Deputy President, Stan Davey as Secretary and Douglas Nicholls as Field Officer. An umbrella national organisation, the Federal Council for Aboriginal Advancement when founded in February 1958 in Adelaide, South Australia, but the Aborigines Advancement League of South Australia (AALSA) finally disaffiliated in 1966, because it thought the federal organisation was too centred on Victoria. Early activities included lobbying for a referendum to change the Australian constitution to allow the Federal government to legislate on Aboriginal affairs, and an establishing a legal defence fund for Albert Namatjira, after he was charged with supplying liquor to an Aboriginal ward.

The Federation of University Employees was formed in 1951 when Local 142 of the United Construction Workers-CIO, representing custodial and maintenance workers at Yale University, disaffiliated with its international union in favor of fiscal and strategic independence. In 1955, the union organized food service workers in Yale's residential college dining halls and, a year later, affiliated with the Hotel and Restaurant Employees and Bartenders International Union, which later changed its name to the Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees International Union (HERE) and merged with a union of textile and laundry workers in 2004 to become UNITE HERE. The service and maintenance and physical plant workers who comprised the federation's membership were at this time all grouped into Local 35. The union's origins thus lie in the wave of militant and ambitious organizing precipitated by the CIO in the 1930s and 1940s, as the immigrant workers who had built and staffed Yale's new residential colleges began to organize themselves into an industrial union with the aid of CIO organizer John Clark and several sympathetic professors in Yale's Divinity School.

The Pima County Libertarian Party was disaffiliated with the Arizona party in 1996, after a legal dispute in 1995 over whether the Pima County or Maricopa County affiliate represented the statewide party, was due to them carrying out party elections against the orders of the state party which started a three-year legal dispute. The party missed the deadline for it to submit its eight presidential electors putting Harry Browne's presidential ballot access in Arizona at risk, but after a court appeal they were given access by a superior court. The party also saw its registered voter amount rise above the amount needed to become a recognized party in Arizona and would not have to submit petitions to gain ballot access. In 1999, after a court ordered the Pima and Maricopa County affiliates to meet and elect officers in accordance with state law, which was ignored by the Maricopa affiliate causing a contempt of court motion, a new state chairman was elected and the Pima County Libertarian Party was re-affiliated with the state party.

However, KCTU's affiliation with the network lasted only about one week, as that station's owner, Great Plains Television Network LLC, and Weigel could not come to terms on a long-term affiliation contract. In early 2011, Bahakel Communications became the first non-Weigel station group to sign selected stations to carry MeTV on their digital subchannels, with its stations in Charlotte, North Carolina (WCCB) and Columbia, South Carolina (WOLO-TV) adding the network in early March of that year. On April 4, 2011, Weigel announced affiliation agreements for MeTV with 14 broadcasting companies, most notably Hearst Television, Raycom Media, Cox Media Group, Media General and Titan Broadcast Management. Also of note, in December 2013, the network moved its Dallas-Fort Worth affiliation to a newly created subchannel of independent station KTXA (replacing Greenville-based KTXD-TV, which abruptly disaffiliated from MeTV three months earlier), marking CBS Television Stations' first affiliation deal involving a major subchannel network (Weigel and CBS would later partner to create Decades, a similar classic television-focused network that launched on May 25, 2015).

Illinois, Maine, Oregon, Rhode Island, Texas, Alaska and Minnesota have elected formally independent candidates as governor: Illinois's first two governors, Shadrach Bond and Edward Coles; James B. Longley in 1974 as well as Angus King in 1994 and 1998 from Maine; Lincoln Chafee in 2010 from Rhode Island; Julius Meier in 1930 from Oregon; Sam Houston in 1859 from Texas; and Bill Walker in 2014 from Alaska. Lowell P. Weicker Jr. is sometimes mentioned as an independent governor, though this is not technically correct; he ran as an A Connecticut Party candidate (which gave him better ballot placement than an unaffiliated candidate would receive), defeating the Democratic and Republican party nominees. Another former governor who is sometimes mentioned as an independent is Jesse Ventura, who actually ran as a member of the Reform Party's Minnesota affiliate, which later disaffiliated from the party and reverted to their original name the Independence Party of Minnesota. In 1971, State Senator Henry Howell of Virginia, a former Democrat, was elected lieutenant governor as an independent.

In 2000, Viacom bought Chris-Craft's 50% ownership interest in UPN; the deal effectively stripped KCOP of its status as one of the network's O&Os; in the process (and making UPN the first major broadcast network to not have an O&O; in the Los Angeles market, unless one counts KTLA's designation as an O&O; by the Federal Communications Commission – ironically due to that station's founding owner Paramount's relations with DuMont – in the early 1950s after having already disaffiliated from the network). On August 12, 2000, Chris-Craft sold its UPN stations to the Fox Television Stations subsidiary of News Corporation for $5.5 billion; a deal that was finalized on July 31, 2001, creating a duopoly with Fox O&O; KTTV. Upon being sold to Fox, the Fox Kids weekday block moved to KCOP in the mid-afternoons, only for it to be discontinued nationwide in January 2002. Soon after, the station ran an hour-long morning cartoon block (supplied by DIC Entertainment), but dropped cartoons entirely in September 2006.

By 1915, it had refocused on its members in coal mines, and was known as the National Federation of Colliery Enginemen and Boiler Firemen. It affiliated to the Miners' Federation of Great Britain (MFGB) in 1919, but disaffiliated again in 1921, believing that the MFGB's strike that year was not in its members' interests. It began accepting colliery mechanics, and changed its name to the National Federation of Colliery Enginemen, Boilermen and Mechanics. In 1944, the Durham County Colliery Enginemen, Boilerminders' and Firemen's Association, and Yorkshire Colliery Enginemen and Firemen's Association became part of Group No.1 of the National Union of Mineworkers, while the Lancashire, Cheshire and North Wales Colliery Enginemen's, Boilermen's and Brakesmen's Federation, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Midland Counties Colliery Enginemen, Firemen, Motormen and Electricians' Union, and the Scottish Colliery Enginemen, Boilermen and Tradesmen's Association became part of its Group No.2, and the Cumberland Colliery Enginemen, Boilermen and Electrical Workers along with the colliery membership of the National Union of Enginemen, Firemen, Mechanics and Electrical Workers became part of its Power Group.

The station's signal from its CN Tower transmitter adequately covers the immediate Greater Toronto Area, from Oshawa in the east, out to Halton Hills and Georgetown in the west, and from Hamilton and Niagara Falls in the south, to roughly Bradford. In addition, CBLT serves as the default CBC affiliate for cable and satellite subscribers in markets previously served over-the-air by CBLT's rebroadcast transmitters (see below), as well as the Thunder Bay and Peterborough television markets, after CKPR-DT in Thunder Bay disaffiliated from the network September 1, 2014 and CHEX-DT in Peterborough and its sister station CHEX-TV-2 in Oshawa both followed August 31, 2015, in both cases to become affiliates of the CTV Television Network. The station is also carried on cable in several American communities, similar to sister stations CBUT in Vancouver, CBET in Windsor and CBMT in Montreal. In the Caribbean, CBLT is carried on cable providers in Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, St. Kitts and Nevis, Barbados, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Grenada, Turks and Caicos Islands and Jamaica.

He was alleged by the Foreign Office to have disrupted a student trip to Chile to build a youth centre. They branded him a "troublemaker acting with malice aforethought". In 1966, he was elected as chairman of Leeds University Union Labour Society by a majority consisting largely of members of the Leeds University Union Communist Society who had joined Labour Society immediately before the Annual General Meeting. Led by Straw, Labour Society disaffiliated itself from the Labour Party and changed its name to the Leeds University Union Socialist Society. Straw was then elected president of the Leeds University Union, during which time he reluctantly supported a sit-in lasting four days in June 1968. At the 1967 National Union of Students (NUS) Conference, he unsuccessfully ran for office in the NUS. In April 1968 he stood unsuccessfully for election as NUS President, but was defeated by Trevor Fisk.Sir Patrick Wall, Student Power (London: Conservative Monday Club, 1969), p. 8 However, he was elected as NUS President in 1969, holding this post until 1971.

This occurred despite the widespread presumption that affiliations with The CW, which at that point was in the process of signing affiliates in most markets, would be more valuable; however, Sinclair implied that MyNetworkTV was more financially attractive for the company (of the Sinclair stations that initially affiliated with MyNetworkTV, San Antonio affiliate KMYS has since disaffiliated from the service; its August 30, 2010 affiliation swap with Fredericksburg-based CW affiliate KCWX was the first and so far only known affiliation switch between same-market affiliates of the two nutlets since their formation in 2006). One day later on March 7, Raycom Media announced that its WB and UPN stations (including WUAB/Cleveland, Ohio, KFVE/Honolulu, Hawaii and WBXH-CA/Baton Rouge, Louisiana) would also become charter affiliates of MyNetworkTV. One of the stations named in a list of newly signed MyNetworkTV affiliates that Fox Entertainment Group released on April 26, 2006, was KNVA in Austin, Texas, which The CW had also added to its own list of confirmed affiliates one week prior. On May 1, 2006, another previously-confirmed CW affiliate, KWKB in Iowa City, Iowa, signed on as a MyNetworkTV charter affiliate.

CW affiliate KCWI-TV picked up the local rights to SmackDown, and for nearly a year afterward, aired it in a manner very similar to its scheduling on WLMT. Until October 3, 2011, when KDMI rejoined the service, Des Moines was the largest television market without a MyNetworkTV affiliate – either over-the-air or on cable (CBS affiliate KCCI took over the MyNetworkTV affiliation from KDMI in December 2014, carrying it as a primary affiliation on its third digital subchannel). On September 19, 2011, Cedar Rapids, Iowa affiliate KWKB dropped the service, while retaining its existing CW affiliation; ABC affiliate KCRG-TV later picked up MyNetworkTV for its second digital subchannel. On February 10, 2014, St. Louis affiliate WRBU disaffiliated from MyNetworkTV, and converted into an Ion Television O&O;, as a result of its sale to Ion Media Networks through Roberts Broadcasting's gradual sale of its television stations in order to raise money to pay off creditors in its Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings; this resulted in St. Louis temporarily displacing Spokane, Washington as the largest market without a MyNetworkTV affiliate until November 17, 2014, when CBS affiliate KMOV began carrying it on a digital subchannel.

Over the years the CBC has gradually reduced the number of private affiliates; until 2006 this usually involved either opening a new station (or new rebroadcast transmitters) in a market previously served by a private affiliate, or purchasing the affiliate outright. In most cases since 2006 (when CFJC-TV disaffiliated), it declined to open new rebroadcasters in the affected markets for budgetary reasons, and since then has wound down its remaining affiliation agreements, with the last expiring on August 31, 2016. These disaffiliations, along with the CBC's decision to shut down its TV rebroadcaster network in 2012, have significantly reduced the network's terrestrial coverage; however, under Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) regulations, all cable, satellite, and IPTV service providers are required to include a CBC Television signal in their basic service, even if one is not available terrestrially in the applicable service area. Since September 2014, all CBC Television O&Os; have also been separately affiliated with the temporary and (since April 2015) permanent part-time networks operated by Rogers Media for the purposes of distributing the Rogers-produced Hockey Night in Canada broadcasts.

The following week on October 5, 2013, the Weekend Adventure block's "Health and Wellness Hour" (consisting of health and culinary programs that filled the third hour of the block) was discontinued as part of a refocusing towards exclusively wildlife-focused programs, with the move, Recipe Rehab migrated to CBS's Dream Team block Subsequently on October 4, 2014, Expedition Wild moved from Weekend Adventure to another Saturday morning block produced by Litton that launched on that date, One Magnificent Morning on The CW. In 2016, two stations disaffiliated from ABC due to varied issues; WKPT-TV in the Tri-Cities region of Tennessee and Virginia, and WSVI in the U.S. Virgin Islands, but as the Litton syndication contract for Weekend Adventure is separate from their expired ABC affiliation agreements, were able to continue to air Weekend Adventure for the time being. The new Tri-Cities ABC affiliate, WJHL-DT2, used programming from the Fox-associated Xploration Station block (which was turned down by WEMT) and other syndicated programming for their E/I contributions instead. In April 2017, Weekend Adventure moved to WJHL-DT2 after WKPT voided all of their syndication contracts to become a full-time carrier of Cozi TV.

WFAA-DT3 is the True Crime Network-affiliated third digital subchannel of WFAA, broadcasting in widescreen standard definition on virtual and VHF digital channel 8.3. WFAA launched a tertiary digital subchannel on virtual channel 8.3 on November 1, 2008 as a charter affiliate of This TV. WFAA-DT3 disaffiliated from the film-focused network on November 8, 2010, when the subchannel became an affiliate of the lifestyle-formatted Live Well Network as a result of a group affiliation agreement between Belo and network parent Disney-ABC Television Group (This TV moved its Dallas affiliation to KDAF (channel 33) on December 7, 2010, when that station began carrying it on digital subchannel 33.3 through the network's affiliation deal with Tribune Broadcasting, which acquired 50% of the network in November 2013). On January 20, 2015, the subchannel became a charter affiliate of the Justice Network (later re-branded True Crime Network), which replaced Live Well on many of the Gannett Company's television stations after Disney-ABC chose to shut down affiliate relations and relegate distribution of Live Well exclusively to ABC's eight owned-and-operated stations, such as KTRK-TV in Houston.

By the time KXII disaffiliated from the network to exclusively align with CBS in 1977, KTEN began carrying a larger proportion of NBC programming within its schedule. Over time, channel 10 had aired the majority of the daytime and prime time program offerings from both NBC and ABC. From 1977 to 1980, it even aired the national evening newscasts from both networks in the hour preceding its local newscast at 6:00 p.m. (with ABC's World News Tonight airing at 5:00, followed by NBC Nightly News at 5:30 p.m.). The station received national attention in 1983, when Doc Severinsen, who was sitting in for Johnny Carson's sidekick Ed McMahon on the noted episode, welcomed KTEN as the newest station to begin carriage of NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. KTEN's acquisition of the late-night talk show occurred after KXII—which had whittled its clearance of NBC programs within its schedule down to just two shows by this time—opted to begin clearing CBS's late night schedule in a move that eventually led channel 12 toward exclusively aligning with CBS in 1985.

On November 17, 2015, Tribune announced that it had signed affiliation agreements with the Sinclair Broadcast Group and partner company Deerfield Media, Tegna Media, Red River Broadcasting and GOCOM Media to add Antenna TV to stations in 26 markets (including many large and mid-sized markets where the network did not previously have an affiliate, including Pittsburgh; Baltimore; Nashville; Birmingham; Green Bay and Savannah). On January 6, 2016, the network also announced an agreement with E. W. Scripps Company-owned WMYD in Detroit, which picked up the affiliation in February 2016, six months after WADL disaffiliated from Antenna TV, which briefly left Detroit as the largest market where the network did not have an affiliate. Sean Compton, president of strategic programming and acquisitions for Tribune Broadcasting, credited Antenna TV's acquisition of rights to the Johnny Carson-era Tonight Show episodes in part behind the newfound interest from affiliates, which helped its station portfolio gain ground with competitor MeTV (which has the most affiliates of any American digital multicast network). As a result of these and other agreements stemming from the Carson acquisition, by August 2016, the network had expanded its reach to 86% of U.S. households.

As a result, there are a small number of stations (such as former affiliate WKFK-LD in Pascagoula, Mississippi) that maintain dual affiliations with both Ion and another smaller network, usually either America One or MyNetworkTV. In early 2006, it was announced that the i stations in Memphis, Tennessee (WPXX-TV), Rapid City, South Dakota (KKRA-LP) and Greenville, North Carolina (WEPX-TV, as well as its satellite WPXU-TV in Jacksonville, North Carolina) would add programming from MyNetworkTV in September 2006, causing preemptions of i programming during prime time due to the stations' programming commitments to carrying the MyNetworkTV schedule. This blow came after i lost some affiliates in New Mexico, New York and Illinois entirely (although the New York station, WWBI-LP in Plattsburgh, subsequently rejoined the network after a sale that resulted in the affiliation change fell through). In late September 2009, a year after Ion Media Networks purchased WPXX and WEPX/WPXU from Flinn Broadcasting, those stations resumed carrying Ion Television full-time, having disaffiliated from MyNetworkTV as a result of the network terminating its existing affiliation agreements due to its conversion into a programming service.

On January 24, 2006, Time Warner and CBS Corporation announced that they would merge The WB with the CBS-owned United Paramount Network to form a new broadcast network called The CW. All except three of Tribune's 19 WB stations joined The CW when it launched on September 18, 2006, through ten- year affiliation agreements (although two – KSWB-TV (channel 69, now a Fox affiliate) in San Diego and WTTV (channel 4, now a CBS affiliate) in Indianapolis – have since disaffiliated from the network under Tribune ownership, while another – WLVI (channel 56) in Boston, which remains with The CW – was sold by Tribune to Sunbeam Television in September 2006). Tribune, however, does not have an ownership interest in The CW, having opted to forego a stake in the network in order to avoid having to finance shutdown costs for The WB. ACME Communications, which operated WB-affiliated stations in small and mid-sized markets, was owned by Jamie Kellner, the network's president from its 1995 launch until 2001. However, neither Time Warner or Tribune considered the ACME stations on the same level as the Tribune stations, nor did Time Warner have any interest in the stations outside of traditional affiliation agreements, or vice versa did ACME have any interest in Time Warner.

Veteran steel union organizer Van Bittner was the director of the CIO's Southern Organizing Committee, the entity which coordinated Operation Dixie. The first step by the Congress of Industrial Organizations (CIO) towards Operation Dixie came in September 1945 when CIO President Philip Murray appointed a 7-member committee given the task of assessing organizing opportunities for the union in the postwar period.Zieger, The CIO, 1935–1955, pg. 231. Citing the conservative political climate and low wage economic conditions of the region, the committee returned with a report declaring that "the best place for the CIO to undertake organizing...would be in the South."Quoted in Zieger, The CIO, 1935–1955, pg. 231. Internal discussions proceeded throughout the fall and winter of 1945–46, with the governing Executive Board of the CIO signing on to a plan massive campaign to unionize the whole of manufacturing industry in the Southern United States in March 1946. At the time of the launch of Operation Dixie, CIO membership in the Southern United States stood at about 225,000 — a figure excluding the 100,000 Southern members of the United Mine Workers of America, a union which had disaffiliated from the CIO federation in 1942.Zieger, The CIO, 1935–1955, pg. 229.

On April 10, 2006, Montecito Broadcast Group signed an affiliation agreement with The CW in which KSNT-DT2 would serve as the network's Topeka affiliate. On September 18, 2006, Montecito took over the operations of "Northeast Kansas CW 5" (the channel number referencing its primary cable position in the market on Cox Communications), which originated as a cable-only affiliate of The WB 100+ Station Group—a national feed of The WB intended for smaller markets—when it launched on September 18, 1998 under the fictional call letters "WBKS" (branded on-air as "WB5"). Programming on KSNT-DT2 as a CW affiliate was received through The CW's small-market national feed The CW Plus; as The CW handles programming responsibilities for its CW Plus affiliates during non- network time periods, KSNT only provided local advertising services for the subchannel. On November 1, 2008, KSNT-DT2 disaffiliated from The CW Plus, which moved to the third digital subchannel of ABC affiliate KTKA-TV, replacing it with a standard-definition simulcast of Fox affiliate KTMJ-CA to provide a digital signal for the low-power station and to extend its programming to the far northern and eastern fringes of the Topeka market.

In January 1954, the Texas State Network (TSN) – a broadcasting consortium owned by Sid W. Richardson (philanthropist and owner of, among other petroleum firms in the state, Fort Worth-based Sid W. Richardson Inc. and Richardson and Bass Oil Producers), media executive Gene L. Cagle, mineral rights firm owner R. K. Hanger, company president Charles B. Jordan and D. C. Homburg – acquired a 75% controlling stake in KFDA-AM-TV from the original stockholders for $525,000, with Jordan retaining his existing 25% interest. KFDA disaffiliated from ABC shortly before KVII-TV (channel 7) signed on as an affiliate of that network on December 21, 1957, with the station remaining an exclusive CBS affiliate. In January 1958, Jordan divested his stake in KFDA-TV to TSN/Amarillo Broadcasting in exchange for full ownership of KFDA radio through his firm, the Lone Star Broadcasting Company. Despite this separation of ownership, the KFDA television and radio stations continued to share a base call sign until 1966, when the radio station changed its call letters to KPUR, in order to comply with a since-repealed FCC rule that prohibited separately owned television and radio stations that were based in the same media market from sharing the same call letters.

On July 1, 2013, Local TV announced that its nineteen television stations (including KFOR and KAUT) would be acquired by the Chicago-based Tribune Company for $2.75 billion. Upon the sale's December 27 completion, KAUT became the first independent station to be operated by Tribune Broadcasting since the January 1995 launch of The WB (it would later be joined by Tribune's Chicago flagship WGN-TV, when that station disaffiliated from The CW in September 2016); the acquisition also reunited KAUT with former sister station KTLA, which Golden West sold in 1983 to Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, which in turn sold that station to Tribune in 1985. On May 8, 2017, Sinclair Broadcast Group—owner of KOKH-TV and KOCB—entered into an agreement to acquire Tribune Media for $3.9 billion and the assumption of $2.7 billion in Tribune-held debt, pending regulatory approval by the FCC and the U.S. Department of Justice's Antitrust Division. Because Sinclair and Tribune each owned two television stations in the Oklahoma City market, with KFOR and KOKH both ranking among the market's four highest-rated stations in total day viewership, the companies were required to sell either KFOR or KOKH (and optionally, KAUT and KOCB) to another station owner in order to comply with FCC local ownership rules.

Shea attempted to stop sympathy strikes by other teamster locals, but three locals walked out and eventually disaffiliated over the sympathy-strike issue. A sympathy strike in support of 18,000 striking meat cutters in Chicago in July 1904 led to riots before the extensive use of strikebreakers led Shea to force his members back to work (leading to the collapse of the meat cutters' strike). If exercised, this would create a virtual triopoly with flagship station WBFF and CW affiliate WNUV, which Sinclair manages under a local marketing agreement with Cunningham Broadcasting; it also gave Fox Television Stations the option to buy any combination of six Sinclair-owned CW and MyNetworkTV affiliates in three of four markets: Raleigh, North Carolina (WLFL and WRDC), Las Vegas, Nevada (KVCW and KVMY), Cincinnati, Ohio (WSTR-TV) and Norfolk, Virginia (WTVZ). Of these stations, WLFL and WTVZ are both former Fox charter affiliates, having disaffiliated with the network in 1998 to become affiliates of The WB. On July 19, 2012, Sinclair announced it would acquire six stations from Newport Television, including WKRC-TV in Cincinnati, WOAI-TV in San Antonio, WHP-TV (along with its LMA for WLYH-TV) in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, WPMI-TV and WJTC in Mobile, Alabama, and KSAS-TV (along with its LMA for KMTW) in Wichita, Kansas, for $412.5 million. Concurrently, Sinclair announced that it would also acquire Tampa station WTTA outright from Bay Television (which Sinclair operated under a LMA), for $40 million. Sinclair also sold two stations, WSTR-TV and KMYS, to Deerfield Media, a company owned by Stephen P. Mumblow (the owner of Manhan Media), in order to satisfy the FCC's restrictions on duopolies.

KYLX-LD first went on the air in 1999 as K55HW on channel 55, and was owned by Border Media Partners. It changed its call letters to KNEX-LP in 2002, matching co-owned radio station KNEX (106.1 FM). Under Border Media Partners, the station was affiliated with Mas Musica and later MTV Tr3s before it switched programming to Azteca América. The station later disaffiliated from Azteca América and the station started broadcasting audio from KQUR-FM on a rotating-color screen with its call sign and channel number. In 2009, Border Media Partners LLC transferred the station to Border Media Business Trust pursuant to a forbearance agreement between Border Media Partners and its lenders. The station was off-the-air for almost a year, as all broadcasting on channels above 51 was ended by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on December 31, 2011; KNEX applied to operate in digital on channel 42 but later applied to operate on 14; in December 2012, the FCC approved this request. Since late December 2012, KNEX had been testing its signal on channel 14.3. In March 2012, Eagle Creek Broadcasting, owner of KVTV (channel 13), agreed to purchase KNEX-LP from Border Media Business Trust.
