That episode will differ for every single audience member, but I (Vox critic at large Emily VanDerWerff) am totally unsurprised that "She Was Killed By Space Junk" is the episode where so many of my fellow TV critic pals, regardless of whether they've read the comics the series is based on or not, went from guardedly optimistic about Watchmen to all in on Watchmen.

Considering the generally unsurprised reactions I've collected on the matter from players, scouts and staff, this Red Sox controversy reminds me a bit of Mark McGwire "getting caught" with Androstenedione at the height of a steroid era in which better performance enhancing drugs were available (in fact, many people in the game believe McGwire planted the Andro in his locker knowing that writers would go for that pump fake while he drained bottles of better steroids).

But it is funny, I have to admit, looking around the 704 bus in my Rollerblade liners—Skid Row burnouts asleep in the back row, runaways headed to the Venice Boardwalk, and Mexican mothers with young children on their way to and from school and work shifts—my memory is a sieve in the immediate fallout of a seizure, so I was annoyed at myself but unsurprised to realize that, after skating two miles to the bus stop and searching my shoulder bag, I'd forgotten my shoes at home.
