Grand County agreed to petition to have the bridge be included in the National Register of Historic Places, assume maintenance and guarantee the bridge would be preserved. The nomination was approved and the bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 12, 1984. In 1988, the replacement bridge was completed, and the title deed to the Dewey Bridge was handed over to the county in 1989.

Arguments continued about the fate of the garden, with Charles Augustus Tulk's heirs erecting a wooden hoarding around the property in 1873. On 1 February 2014 the Queensland Government handed over to the Badhulgal traditional owners freehold title to of land on Badu Island, ending a struggle for recognition dating back to 1939. Kampung Pandan is a village located in the Titiwangsa constituency in eastern Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, surrounded by Ampang, Maluri, Pudu and Bukit Bintang. Once a small village, Kampung Pandan has now grown and developed tremendously. It used to be an area of well planned settlement (rumah tanah lot/with title deed) to accommodate the people who were moved from their residences for development purposes (among the areas were Maxwell Village) in the late 1960s. After South Africa became a democratic country in 1994 the son of the former owner of Voëlvlei instituted a land claim under the Land Restitution Act. In order to give this assistance Kĩoi induces Kĩgũũnda to use the title-deed of his one-and-a-half acres land as security so that he, Kĩoi, would vouch for him at the bank. Things work out well and Kĩgũũnda obtains the loan. There's a turn-around in their material life and Kĩgũũnda and Wangeci refurbish their home and acquire a few modern items.

In the United States, deed restrictions and restrictive covenants became an important instrument for enforcing racial segregation in many towns and cities, becoming widespread in the 1920s and proliferating until they were declared unconstitutional in 1948. Watkins also purchased another 12 acres of land to the east in the block bounded by present-day Carrington Road, Hooper Street, Bella Lane and Darley Road, it adjoins Queens Park. Since there is no interest being paid, this form of ownership (in partnership) is acceptable under shariah. At the end of the agreed rental term, the buyer will have bought out all of the 90% portion of the partnership, and buyer can then ask the bank to dissolve the partnership. The recorder's office will have a new title deed recorded, whereby the bank ceases to be a tenant-in-common with the buyer, and the buyer becomes the entire title holder (whether alone or with spouse, or any other entity as chosen by buyer). The essence of both transactions is different, and that is based on the outset as to who exactly legally has title to the house at the outset.

Kempton Park lies on what was two Boer farms in the South African Republic (ZAR). The first farm was Zuurfontein No 369 with the title deed issued to Johannes Stephanus Marais on 25 October 1859 and surveyed to be 3000 morgen on 12 December 1859. The second farm northwest of the first was registered to Cornelius Johannes Beukes in March 1865 and was called Rietfontein 32 IR. After the discovery of gold in Johannesburg, 22 km southeast of the farms in 1886, a railway connecting Pretoria to Vereeniging and to the Cape line was constructed in the early 1890s. The railway line did not go through Johannesburg, but passed to the east through the two farms with a station called Zuurfontein.

Historically the Sultanbeyli area was farmland on the far outskirts of Istanbul, until 1945 when the large land holdings of the Ottoman period were broken up, and 7,500 acres of land around the old Ankara-Istanbul road was parcelized for the settlement of Turkish migrants from Bulgaria. In 1957, Sultanbeyli was formally organised as a village, and after its establishment some shareholders began to sell their plots of land. The handover of the title deed for these sales could not be carried out because the forestry administration put restrictions on Sultanbeyli, but the sales continued. Sultanbeyli became a large settlement centre in the late 1980s following the connection of the O-4 Motorway to the newly-constructed Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge in 1988.

The tapu resmi was a feudal land-registration tax in the Ottoman Empire. A tapu was the equivalent of a title deed for farmland, in a feudal system where farmers were proprietors rather than outright owners; this would be recorded in a tapu tahrir, a survey of land ownership and land grants which the Ottoman government used to update land-tax records, and which are now valuable to historians. Not all land was subject to the tapu system; iltizam tax-farming was more commonly applied to non-tapu land. A prominent 16th-century legal theorist argued that tapu resmi was contrary to shari'ah law, and was effectively a bribe; however, tapu resmi continued to be used across the Ottoman Empire.

The title deed for the land currently containing the ground was granted to a brewer, Jacob Letterstedt in 1845, who then presented it to his daughter, Lydia Corrina, as a wedding present upon her marriage to the Vicomte de Montmort. The land, partly wetland and heavily wooded, was rented to the Western Province Cricket Club in 1887 for £50, with a 25-year lease being signed in 1888 and the rental increased to £100. It is one of the main venues for events of the Armenian- Cypriot community. A legend arose that this land was set aside by the request of Queen Charlotte, the wife of George III; from this another legend spread, and persisted among some Kalinago to the present, that Charlotte had set aside half of Dominica for the Kalinago people.. Only one of Mustafa's siblings, a sister named Makbule (Atadan) survived childhood; she died in 1956. Meanwhile, a terminally ill engineer named Yun Tianming recalls his years-long affection for Cheng, and, upon receiving an unexpected sum of money, gives it to the United Nations in exchange for a title-deed to the distant star DX3906, which he anonymously bestows upon Cheng. A few days later, Cheng sees Yun's name on a list of terminally ill persons, and visits him for the first time in years, selfishly persuading him to volunteer for the Staircase Project. Streeton raised ₨ 4,918, which enabled his plan to go ahead. Captain Thomas F. Dowden of the Royal Bombay Engineers was commissioned to make the architectural drawings for the new building. The new school building was opened for boarders on 27 February 1875 by Sir William Merewether, Commissioner-in-Sind at that time. The roll of children was 75 in 1875 and 90 children in 1876 with six teachers, implying a pupil-teacher ratio of 15:1.

Before the area was built over Owen Manning and William Bray noted this route in their History and Antiquities of the County of Surrey (1814), saying that the line "took its course by Old Croydon and the West side of Broad Green where it is still visible". Further possible support to the theory is given by a title deed of the late 1280s, by which a piece of property, described as lying on the east side of the king's highway in Old Town, was sold by one "Andrew de Calceto in Croyndon", also named as "Andrew ate Causie", both names meaning "of/at the causeway", a term which implies a well constructed road. The modern A236 dual carriageway, which bypasses Croydon to the west, is named Roman Way in acknowledgement of this theory. A little further south, the road may have followed the line of Duppas Hill Terrace and Violet Lane.

In 1910, Norris became the majority shareholder of the ailing Woolwich Arsenal (after the club had gone into voluntary liquidation) while still retaining his post on the Fulham board, and became club chairman two years later. With Arsenal's low attendances and poor financial performance, Norris tried to create a London superclub by merging the two clubs, but this was blocked by the Football League. Undeterred, he turned his attention to moving Arsenal to a new stadium; he eventually settled on a site in Highbury, north London, on the site of the recreation ground of St John's College of Divinity; his close relationship with Randall Davidson helped, and the archbishop personally signed the ground's title deed. The Arsenal Stadium opened in 1913, and the club dropped the Woolwich from its name the following year. Norris's most infamous contribution to Arsenal's history was his role in the club's promotion from the Second Division to the First in 1919.

In 1836 while hunting in Kadıköy, a large residential district of Constantinople, he accidentally shot and wounded the son of Necati Efendi, a civil servant holding a high position in the Title Deed Office. Churchill was arrested, savagely beaten, and imprisoned while the boy's injuries were being assessed. Little is known about the details of the dispute in this case beyond the fact that at least two parties appear to have claimed ownership of some parcel of land located in the Pennsylvania Colony, and one claim appears to have been based on inheritance from a deceased prior owner. The issue resolved by the first decision was whether a title deed to land in the Pennsylvania Colony, executed in England, registered ("inrolled") in the King's Bench, and notarized ("proved") before the Lord Mayor of the City of London, could be admitted as evidence in a trial in the Pennsylvania territorial court regarding disputed land. The Pennsylvania colonial court held that such a deed was admissible in evidence. The issue resolved by the second decision was whether a copy of the "Register of Births and Deaths of People Called Quakers" proved (certified) to be a true one before the same Lord Mayor of the City of London, could be offered into evidence in a trial in Pennsylvania, for the purpose of establishing the death of a person so listed.

This timber hall was built between June and September in 1888 for the Trustees of Court Foresters' Hope, number 6535 of the Ancient Order of Foresters' Friendly Society, United Brisbane District. The Paddington Foresters' Hall was designed by the Brisbane architect, Alexander Brown Wilson, and was built by W Taylor after his tender for was accepted in May 1888. The hall was built on a subdivision of an estate originally purchased by Bennett Clay at a sale of crown land in 1861. The title deed was then transferred to John Robertson of Sydney in 1864. In 1885 Robertson subdivided his estate when the trustees of Court Foresters' Hope purchased subdivision 22, apparently for . Court Foresters' Hope was founded in Paddington in 1878 marking the beginning of expansion for the Ancient Order of Foresters in Queensland. Prior to the building of the Foresters' Hall in 1888, the court met at the former Methodist Church (no longer extant) at the corner of Given Terrace and Ranley Grove, Paddington. The establishment of the Ancient Order of Foresters in Queensland dates from 1859 with the opening of Court Fortitude at Fortitude Valley.
