It established that the land was to be held, > with its appurtenances, free from the imposition of worldly burdens, with > the exception of military service, bridge-work and fortress-work, and with > the power to give it to anyone of its owner's choosing.
As part of this agreement, UDOT would commission a new bridge and once finished, transfer ownership of the original bridge back to Grand County. Grand County agreed to petition to have the bridge be included in the National Register of Historic Places, assume maintenance and guarantee the bridge would be preserved. The nomination was approved and the bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 12, 1984. In 1988, the replacement bridge was completed, and the title deed to the Dewey Bridge was handed over to the county in 1989.

Arguments continued about the fate of the garden, with Charles Augustus Tulk's heirs erecting a wooden hoarding around the property in 1873. These were quickly removed after the Master of the Rolls ordered that the land must be preserved for its original purpose. The garden was saved by the Member of parliament Albert Grant, who purchased the park in 1874 for £11,060 and donated it to the Metropolitan Board of Works. On 1 February 2014 the Queensland Government handed over to the Badhulgal traditional owners freehold title to of land on Badu Island, ending a struggle for recognition dating back to 1939. Kampung Pandan is a village located in the Titiwangsa constituency in eastern Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, surrounded by Ampang, Maluri, Pudu and Bukit Bintang. Once a small village, Kampung Pandan has now grown and developed tremendously. It used to be an area of well planned settlement (rumah tanah lot/with title deed) to accommodate the people who were moved from their residences for development purposes (among the areas were Maxwell Village) in the late 1960s. The area developed and was occupied with two sections of the village namely Kampong Pandan Dalam (settlement) and Kampong Pandan Luar (where the town was).

After South Africa became a democratic country in 1994 the son of the former owner of Voëlvlei instituted a land claim under the Land Restitution Act. A redress of past injustices regarding the expropriation of the farms was sought under the new Bill of Rights which is protected by the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa. Since the land was expropriated in 1948 by the Union of South Africa the land was transferred into the name of the Republic of South Africa in 1961. It currently still belongs to the Republic of South Africa under Title deed 20006/1948.

Not long after Kĩgũũnda and Wangeci decide to have a church wedding, but realizing the heavy financial burden entailed they turn to their newly found family-in-Christ, the Kĩois, for financial assistance. In order to give this assistance Kĩoi induces Kĩgũũnda to use the title-deed of his one-and-a-half acres land as security so that he, Kĩoi, would vouch for him at the bank. Things work out well and Kĩgũũnda obtains the loan. There's a turn-around in their material life and Kĩgũũnda and Wangeci refurbish their home and acquire a few modern items.

Francisco Cabarrus Lalanne also acquired the title of Viscount of Rabouilhet from Pedro Pablo Abarca de Bolea, Count of Aranda, originally for his other son, Francisco Cabarrus Galabert, but the early death of this son made him join both titles and up to today the present Counts of Cabarrus carry also the title of Viscounts of Rabouilhet. The town of Rabouilhet and its neighboring towns and countryside (also included in the title deed) are in the Lanquedoc region of France. His close friend, Francisco Goya, painted a full body portrait of him. This portrait is currently exhibited in the Bank of Spain building in Madrid.
In the United States, deed restrictions and restrictive covenants became an important instrument for enforcing racial segregation in many towns and cities, becoming widespread in the 1920s and proliferating until they were declared unconstitutional in 1948. They prohibited a buyer of real property from allowing use or occupancy by members of a given race, ethnic origin, and/or religion as specified in the title deed. Such covenants were employed by many real estate developers to "protect" entire subdivisions, with the primary intent to keep "white" neighbourhoods "white". Since there is no interest being paid, this form of ownership (in partnership) is acceptable under shariah. At the end of the agreed rental term, the buyer will have bought out all of the 90% portion of the partnership, and buyer can then ask the bank to dissolve the partnership. The recorder's office will have a new title deed recorded, whereby the bank ceases to be a tenant-in-common with the buyer, and the buyer becomes the entire title holder (whether alone or with spouse, or any other entity as chosen by buyer). The essence of both transactions is different, and that is based on the outset as to who exactly legally has title to the house at the outset.
Kempton Park lies on what was two Boer farms in the South African Republic (ZAR). The first farm was Zuurfontein No 369 with the title deed issued to Johannes Stephanus Marais on 25 October 1859 and surveyed to be 3000 morgen on 12 December 1859. The second farm northwest of the first was registered to Cornelius Johannes Beukes in March 1865 and was called Rietfontein 32 IR. After the discovery of gold in Johannesburg, 22 km southeast of the farms in 1886, a railway connecting Pretoria to Vereeniging and to the Cape line was constructed in the early 1890s. The railway line did not go through Johannesburg, but passed to the east through the two farms with a station called Zuurfontein.
Historically the Sultanbeyli area was farmland on the far outskirts of Istanbul, until 1945 when the large land holdings of the Ottoman period were broken up, and 7,500 acres of land around the old Ankara-Istanbul road was parcelized for the settlement of Turkish migrants from Bulgaria. In 1957, Sultanbeyli was formally organised as a village, and after its establishment some shareholders began to sell their plots of land. The handover of the title deed for these sales could not be carried out because the forestry administration put restrictions on Sultanbeyli, but the sales continued. Sultanbeyli became a large settlement centre in the late 1980s following the connection of the O-4 Motorway to the newly-constructed Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge in 1988.
The tapu resmi was a feudal land-registration tax in the Ottoman Empire. A tapu was the equivalent of a title deed for farmland, in a feudal system where farmers were proprietors rather than outright owners; this would be recorded in a tapu tahrir, a survey of land ownership and land grants which the Ottoman government used to update land-tax records, and which are now valuable to historians. Not all land was subject to the tapu system; iltizam tax-farming was more commonly applied to non-tapu land. A prominent 16th-century legal theorist argued that tapu resmi was contrary to shari'ah law, and was effectively a bribe; however, tapu resmi continued to be used across the Ottoman Empire.
The title deed for the land currently containing the ground was granted to a brewer, Jacob Letterstedt in 1845, who then presented it to his daughter, Lydia Corrina, as a wedding present upon her marriage to the Vicomte de Montmort. It is one of the main venues for events of the Armenian- Cypriot community. A legend arose that this land was set aside by the request of Queen Charlotte, the wife of George III; from this another legend spread, and persisted among some Kalinago to the present, that Charlotte had set aside half of Dominica for the Kalinago people.. Meanwhile, a terminally ill engineer named Yun Tianming recalls his years-long affection for Cheng, and, upon receiving an unexpected sum of money, gives it to the United Nations in exchange for a title-deed to the distant star DX3906, which he anonymously bestows upon Cheng. A few days later, Cheng sees Yun's name on a list of terminally ill persons, and visits him for the first time in years, selfishly persuading him to volunteer for the Staircase Project. In preparation for Oklahoma's admission to the union on an "equal footing with the original states" by 1907, through a series of acts, including the Oklahoma Organic Act and the Oklahoma Enabling Act, Congress attempted to unilaterally dissolve all sovereign tribal governments within the state of Oklahoma. This timber hall was built between June and September in 1888 for the Trustees of Court Foresters' Hope, number 6535 of the Ancient Order of Foresters' Friendly Society, United Brisbane District.
