Albert Craig Albert Craig (2 September 1849 – 8 July 1909) was commonly known as The Surrey Poet, although he never used the term himself, instead signing his pieces as "A.C. Cricket Rhymester". He would attend cricket and football matches to write verses and short essays describing the players and events, then had them printed on broadsheets and sold to the crowd. His poetry was not renowned for any literary merit but he was a popular and well-known figure, thanks to his good nature and his ready wit.

On September 16, 2012, the 20th anniversary of her debut as a member of the Super Monkey's, Amuro was planned to hold a special live concert in her birthplace of Okinawa. The live features guest appearances by Ai, Chemistry's Kaname Kawabata, Mummy-D (of Rhymester), Anna Tsuchiya, Verbal (of M-Flo) and Zeebra. However, due to the approach of Typhoon Samba, the concert was cancelled the day before the show. Because of the nature of the concert, the management of Amuro announced that the concert will not be rescheduled.

Around September 2011, they announced that a new album will be released shortly, and that release was "MAGNETIC SOIL", containing all new material of 15 tracks (except track 2 is their rendition of the Brecker Brothers' piece "Some Skunk Funk"), including a new version of the track "Summer Goddess." On August 7, 2013, they released their ninth album, Circles, which featured collaborations with Japanese artists from various genres, including Miyavi, Rhymester and Ringo Sheena. The album also featured a track, titled "Summer Love", featuring American Jazz hip-hop vocalist José James.

While poetaster has always been a negative appraisal of a poet's skills, rhymester (or rhymer) and versifier have held ambiguous meanings depending on the commentator's opinion of a writer's verse. Versifier is often used to refer to someone who produces work in verse with the implication that while technically able to make lines rhyme they have no real talent for poetry. Rhymer on the other hand is usually impolite despite attempts to salvage the reputation of rhymers such as the Rhymers' Club and Rhymer being a common last name. The faults of a poetaster frequently include errors or lapses in their work's meter, badly rhyming words which jar rather than flow, oversentimentality, too much use of the pathetic fallacy and unintentionally bathetic choice of subject matter.

Western Folklore 15.3, pg 153-154 Proverbs that speak to the political disgruntlement include: "When the Czar spits into the soup dish, it fairly bursts with pride"; "If the Czar be a rhymester, woe be to the poets"; and "The hen of the Czarina herself does not lay swan's eggs". While none of these proverbs state directly, "I hate the Czar and detest my situation" (which would have been incredibly dangerous), they do get their points across. Proverbs are found in many parts of the world, but some areas seem to have richer stores of proverbs than others (such as West Africa), while others have hardly any (North and South America) (Mieder 2004b:108,109).

The album is primarily composed of songs taken from Sheena's first two albums Muzai Moratorium (1999) and Shōso Strip (2000). Additionally, the album features "Stem (Daimyō Asobi- hen)", the preceding single from Sheena's third album Kalk Samen Kuri no Hana (2003), "Ryūkō", one of the promotional tracks from the album Sanmon Gossip (2009) which features rapper Mummy-D from the group Rhymester, "Ariamaru Tomi", a song released as a single in 2009 but later compiled onto Sheena's album Hi Izuru Tokoro (2014) and "Shijō no Jinsei", a song released as a single earlier in 2015. Of the twelve songs on the album, only two were not released as A-sides of physical singles: "Yokushitsu" and "Ryūkō". While the all of the songs were chosen from the songs that appear on Sheena's studio albums (with the exception of the recently released "Shijō no Jinsei"), two of the songs appear as the original versions included on singles: "Kōfukuron" and "Stem (Daimyō Asobi hen)".
