Surrounded elicited mixed to positive reviews from music critics. George Lang, writing in The Oklahoman, recommended the boxset to fans of Björk, commending its inclusion of the artist's videography. On behalf of the San Francisco Chronicle, Aidin Vaziri praised the sound quality and packaging, but was ambivalent towards the collection's price and opined that the "quality of the music is wildly inconsistent". Sound and Vision evaluated the sound of the remasters positively; according to reviewer Ken Richardson, they are "never less than excellent".
The single was the last in a string of covers recorded as singles, as the following track "Sunny Girl" was written by Benny Andersson. It had the catalogue number of SO 17. The B-Side was "I'll Never Quite Get Over You", which had previously appeared on Hep Stars debut album We and Our Cadillac. "Should I" was never included on any of the Hep Stars albums, but was later issued as a bonus track on 1996 remasters of their live album Hep Stars on Stage.
After this early pulling of Capcom support, the GameCube went on to sell 22 million units, less than the Nintendo 64's 33 million units and only a fraction of the PlayStation 2's 155 million units. Upon release, Skylarking was met with indifference in the UK, rising in the album charts to number 90, while both of its lead singles "Grass" (backed with "Dear God") and "The Meeting Place" peaked at number 100. Early sales of the album were hampered by the omission of "Dear God" from the album's original pressings.

The 1997 and 2002 A&M; Records reissues were mastered from the original master tapes by Greg Calbi and Jay Messina at Sterling Sound, New York, in 1997 and 2002. The reissues were supervised by Bill Levenson with art direction by Vartan and design by Mike Diehl, with production coordination by Beth Stempel. Both the 1997 and 2002 remasters are heavily criticised by audiophiles who claim they were mastered too loud as part of the "loudness war" mastering trend. Also the song "Lover Boy" was edited and is missing a couple of bars.

The video accompanied a CD single which was released following the successful "Travelling Riverside Blues" release.

Courtney Love and the band were one of the artists suing UMG for the loss; however, on August 16, 2019, the band was removed from that lawsuit as it was amended "based on UMG's representations that none of Hole's original masters were destroyed (subject to confirmation)".

Less impressed, Ed Ward of The Austin Chronicle views Harrison's collaborations with Troy and Preston as betraying an "uneasy tension between black American gospel and the attempts of some of the Brits to play backup – the Dixie Flyers they weren't".Ed Ward, "Review: Apple Records Box Set", The Austin Chronicle, 17 December 2010 (retrieved 20 November 2014). David Cavanagh of Uncut considers Doris Troy to have been "in many ways a typical Apple LP: some raunchy soul, some heavy friends, and nothing too remarkable".David Cavanagh, "The Apple Remasters", Uncut, November 2010, p. 112.
The cover art sparked some controversy because of the appearance of the "Dewey Defeats Truman" headline on the newspaper. After a complaint from the Chicago Tribune, artist Hugh Syme changed the text to "Dewei Defeats Truman." Some later versions of the cover, such as for the Rush Remasters CD release, have the headline blanked out and it appears simply as a white box. The billboards in the distance were changed from Coca-Cola (which objected to the use of its logo) to include each band member's name in similar typestyle.

The remasters were made available separately with expanded artwork, and also together in a collector's box set, entitled Boxed. However, the 1984 soundtrack album 1984 (For the Love of Big Brother) was not included in this re-release campaign as Virgin Records holds the rights to that album. Also in 2005, Eurythmics were inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame. In 2007, Lennox resumed her solo career with her fourth album, Songs of Mass Destruction, which was a top 10 success in the UK and the US. In 2009, she released her first solo "greatest hits" package, The Annie Lennox Collection.

The song was also included as a bonus track on the 1995 and 2006 Rhino remasters of Headquarters in a slightly different mono mix, as well as the Listen to the Band and Music Box sets in a slightly different stereo mix. It is also available on the 2011 compilation Monkeemania (The Very Best of the Monkees). In 2011, three of the Monkees reunited for a tour and included "All of Your Toys" in their set list.

The single version also used this title when it was originally released to the European and American markets. Live performances of the song were sometimes prefaced with Nicks saying, "This song's about an old Welsh witch." During 1975–1980, Fleetwood Mac's live performances of "Rhiannon" took on a theatrical intensity not present on the FM-radio single.
Additionally, even modern remasters and remakes of older games can often be heavily altered, sometimes in a manner that changes the entire gameplay. For example, Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy had a rewritten physics engine, requiring players to make more precise jumps. Some companies still consider emulators copyright-infringing, as when Atlus attempted to take down the Patreon page of a PlayStation 3 emulator, RPCS3, after arguing that allowing Persona 5 to be played on it made it illegal software. However, Patreon disagreed with the company's stance and allowed the page as long as references to the game were removed.

Although he drew praise to the bonus features, he noted the "static" menus of the DVDs. The San Diego Union-Tribune found it suitable for "completists with high-end audio gear"; The Buffalo News said the boxset "should help put this clearly brilliant artist in both proper context and proper light." Ryan Dombal of Entertainment Weekly assessed it as a "luxurious treat" and reckoned it "revitalizes some of the most ambitious pop music of the last 13 years", despite finding the compendium antithetical to Björk's "relevant" status. The remasters of Vespertine and Medúlla were singled out in the review.

The remaster was developed by Bluepoint Games, a studio which had earned a reputation for high- quality remasters such as The Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection. One of the main reasons for making the remaster was Toyama's wish to bring Gravity Rush to a wider audience. In addition to increasing the frame rate, the team were able to implement upgrades to the lighting, blur effects, draw distance and graphics engine.
Each individual album is packaged in a replica mini-LP sleeve reproducing that album's original cover art. The set also contains a 40-page booklet with photos, liner notes, and album credits. Rocka Rolla and Sad Wings of Destiny have been newly remastered by Vic Anesini, with the latter album featuring a corrected track order beginning with "Prelude" and ending with "Deceiver", as indicated on the packaging of the original release. Albums from Sin After Sin through Painkiller utilize the 2001 remasters and feature the same bonus tracks, while Angel of Retribution through A Touch of Evil: Live are identical to their original releases.
In early versions of the HD remasters, there were also a few shots, including chroma effects shots, which were sourced from standard-definition 480i videotape sources, as not all of the footage had been located in time for the remaster; the original film sources for these shots were later rescanned for later broadcast and release. These masters had been airing in New Zealand on TV2 since January 2011 and the earlier HD prints continue to air on Comedy Central in the UK as of 2020. Netflix added all ten seasons of Friends in high definition to their streaming service in the United States on January 1, 2015.
Decca was bought by MCA and in the early 1970s many of these titles were re-released on the MCA label, all using the fake stereo masters. MCA released many of their classic shows on CD in the 1990s, going back to original master discs and tapes to generate excellent sounding (and complete) remasters of the originals. When MCA and Polygram were merged into the new Universal Music Group, a new label, Decca Broadway, was born. Decca Broadway has re-mastered and reissued virtually every cast album in the old Decca catalogue including many rare titles that had not been available in almost 50 years.
In France the album debuted at number 13. The album was reissued on CD on 4 June 2012 (5 June in North America) along with the film restored for DVD and Blu-ray release. While the original 1999 release was in a jewel-case, the 2012 version was released in a card sleeve, with the booklet and catalog numbers the same as the earlier version, with a 1999 copyright date on the disc, and a 2012 date on the card sleeve. The sleeve was in the same format as the Beatles 2009 remasters, being slightly rectangular with "The Beatles" logo in the left hand side of the cover.
The album was released on compact disc in 1984 by Mercury Records. Initial pressings were missing the first beat of "Tom Sawyer" by mistake but were corrected in subsequent releases. In 1997, Mercury Records released a digitally remastered version. The disc tray has a logo of three fingerprints with "The Rush Remasters" printed, a feature of all remastered albums from Moving Pictures through A Show of Hands, originally found on the cover of Retrospective II. The remaster restores all of the original artwork and lyrics found on the vinyl release and includes the moving picture of Peart which was missing on the original CD issue.
Following the games, the songs "Starry Heavens," "Soshite Boku ni Dekiru Koto" and "Ninin Sankyaku" were remastered for the 2013 release. Along with the remastering of previous songs, the EP contained two new tracks: "Junction Punctuation Mark" and "61 Byoume no... Fura Letter Saigo no Hatsukoi ~Copernicus Tekitenkai~" (61秒目の...フラLetter最後の初恋〜コペルニクス的転回〜 / 61st second... fluttering Letter the last first love ~Copernicus Turning~). Both tracks received music videos on the accompanying DVD. For the remasters of "Starry Heavens" and "Soshite Boku ni Dekiru Koto," Mitsuru Igarashi from the group Every Little Thing performed the instrumentals.
On May 26, 2015, Capcom announced that a high-definition remastered version of the game was in development, Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster. The success of the high-definition remaster of Resident Evil inspired producer Tsukasa Takenaka to provide the same treatment to that game's prequel. Takenaka recognized that many Resident Evil fans preferred the old style of gameplay pre-Resident Evil 4, and so he reasoned that the HD remasters were to provide that same gameplay experience on modern hardware. The remaster was produced by Tsukasa Takenaka and the team was made up of many members from the original team, including director Koji Oda.
Highway to Hell was originally released on 27 July 1979 by Albert Productions, who licensed the album to Atlantic Records for release outside of Australia, and was then re-released by Epic Records in 2003 as part of the AC/DC Remasters series. On 25 May 2006, Highway to Hell was certified 7x Platinum by the RIAA. In Australia, Highway to Hell was originally released with a slightly different album cover, featuring flames and a drawing of a bass guitar neck superimposed over the same group photo used on the international cover. Also, the AC/DC logo is a darker shade of maroon, but the accents are a bit lighter.
Square Enix chose to update Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2s graphics for a remastered release in high-definition. With a production cycle longer than two years, the graphics were not merely upscaled to higher resolutions and feature updated models and textures. Kitase commented that he wanted to excite new and returning players and added more depth to do so and opened up the possibility of further remasters based on reception. Many views could not simply be reframed to 16:9 because that would reveal characters waiting for their cues off-screen, so the remastering team performed a lot of redrawing and additions to the visuals.
18 For this reason there will never be true stereo mixes of "Love Me Do" or "P.S. I Love You". Although the practice had stopped by the time of the release of the "She Loves You" single, and although it is possible that the master tapes were in EMI's possession in January 1964, when the German language version was recorded, it is commonly believed that those tapes were either stolen or destroyed. Competent-sounding stereo versions of "She Loves You" have been created unofficially using the backing track from "Sie Liebt Dich", but the engineers who prepared the remasters elected not to do this.
It used footage from an unreleased video game called Maximum Surge as well as clips from other Digital Pictures games. Although the film boasted stars such as Yasmine Bleeth and Walter Koenig, they only appear in the segments that had been pulled from the FMV sequences of the game, which suffer from lower image quality than the original footage. Flash Film Works later acquired the rights to some of the games. They remastered and re- released Double Switch and Quarterback Attack for iTunes and Google Play in late 2016 before partnering with Screaming Villains and Limited Run Games to release PlayStation 4 remasters starting in 2018 with Double Switch and 2019 with Corpse Killer.
2003 CD remasters That same year, the Guniw Value Set was released, featuring all previously released video and concert footage on DVD, along with previously unreleased live footage from 1992-1994. In 2011, Shilfee and Tulipcorobockles and Age of Punk headlined a show together called "Solo Solo GUNIW Tell Miracle". Full and Asaki discuss Solo Solo GUNIW Tell Miracle As an encore Full and Asaki came out on stage together to perform a handful of Guniw Tools songs. Later that same year Shilfe and Tulipcorobockles co-headlined a show with Cloudchair (JAKE's current project) called "Solo Solo GUNIW 2", afterwards Full and JAKE came out to play another set of Guniw Tools songs as an encore.
The album peaked at number 2 in the UK. On 27 June 2011, as part of Queen's 40th anniversary celebrations, The Platinum Collection was re-released in the UK as well as in other territories around the world. The release consisted of the 2011 remasters of all three albums. In 2018, the album reached a peak of number 9 on the US Billboard 200 following the success of the Bohemian Rhapsody film and soundtrack, making it their first time with two albums in the US albums chart top 10. In 2019, the album reached a higher peak at number 6 on the US Billboard 200 thanks to sale pricing in the iTunes Store during the tracking week.
In 1999, Mercury Records released remastered editions of Tears for Fears' first three albums, including B-sides, remixes, and extended versions. Supervised by producer Chris Hughes, the remasters also included new liner notes for each album providing details and new insights into the music. Due to record company mergers and acquisitions in the late 1990s, Tears for Fears' back catalogue was eventually placed into the Universal Music fold. After undertaking production work and some songwriting for the Icelandic singer-songwriter Emilíana Torrini on her 1999 album Love in the Time of Science, Orzabal re-teamed with Alan Griffiths and released the album Tomcats Screaming Outside, released on Eagle Records as a solo project under his own name.
A compilation rerelease, titled The Yakuza Remastered Collection, was announced and released digitally in English-speaking territories on August 20, 2019 for the PlayStation 4. The collection contains the remastered versions of Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4, and Yakuza 5, which were released in Japan individually between 2018 and 2019. The remasters feature re-translated game scripts and content removed from the original English releases restored, though some content was removed from all versions, such as a set of missions in Yakuza 3 featuring a transphobic character depiction. At the time of the collection's launch, only Yakuza 3 was available; Yakuza 4 was released on October 29, 2019, and Yakuza 5 was released on February 11, 2020.
After an initial release on CD in 1993,Winn, pp. 368–69. with liner notes provided by Derek Taylor, The Radha Krsna Temple was remastered and reissued in October 2010, as part of the Apple Box Set.Joe Marchese, "Review: The Apple Records Remasters, Part 3 – Esoteric to the Core", The Second Disc, 17 November 2010 (retrieved 4 September 2014). Taylor's essay carried the slogan "20th Anniversary of Bhaktivedanta Manor 1973–1993 – Here To Stay!",Liner notes by Derek Taylor, The Radha Krsna Temple CD (Apple/Capitol, 1993; produced by George Harrison). referring to the Hertfordshire property that Harrison had donated to the UK branch of the Hare Krishna movement in February 1973.
During EA Play 2018 Electronic Arts presented Command & Conquer: Rivals, and subsequently received feedback that gamers would want another PC release in the Command & Conquer franchise. They contacted Petroglyph Games, which was founded by previous programmers of Westwood Studios (developers of the original Command & Conquer video game), who said they welcome the collaboration. The whole development process was marked by close collaboration between the studios responsible for developing the game and the community surrounding the franchise. At first, the team was not sure whether to create a remake or a remaster of the original game, but because of the popularity of remasters such as Age of Empires: Definitive Edition they decided to do a remaster.
The latter are individual PlayStation Portable games republished on Blu-ray. These games are not direct ports, but remastered versions in high-definition, to take advantage of the newer consoles' capabilities. The remastering of the games include updated graphics, new textures, and Trophy support, and some of the remastered games released on PlayStation 3 have included 3D and PlayStation Move support. Some HD remasters have also been released individually or in bundles as downloads on the PlayStation Store; others are released exclusively as downloads. This remastering began in 2009 with the release of God of War Collection; it originally started as only PlayStation 2 (PS2) games being remastered for PlayStation 3 (PS3).
The concert footage featured on the standard edition of the set was directed by Paul Becher, who has overseen live visuals for McCartney for over 200 performances. The performances were shot in high definition using 15 cameras and digital footage incorporated from 75 flipcams handed out to fans over the course of the three night stand. The audio mix, in both stereo and 5.1, was handled by longtime Beatles engineer Geoff Emerick, and also longtime McCartney engineer Paul Hicks, whose credits include the recent Beatles remasters, The Beatles Anthology and Let It Be... Naked, and two Grammy awards for his mixing work on the Beatles' Love album. The documented concerts held special significance for McCartney and his fans.
The 40th Anniversary mix of the debut album presents a stereo version of "Light My Fire" in speed-corrected form for the first time. The speed discrepancy (being about 3.5% slow) was brought to Bruce Botnick's attention by Brigham Young University professor Michael Hicks, who noted that all video and audio live performances of the Doors performing the song, the sheet music, and statements of band members show the song in a key almost a half step higher (key of A) than the stereo LP release (key of A♭/G♯). Until the 2006 remasters, only the original 45 RPM singles ("Light My Fire" and "Break On Through") were produced at the correct speed.
"Double Trouble") and "The Stone Age", although "Scoutrageous", "Kung Fu Kapers" and "Scotland" (a.k.a. "Loch Ness Monster") were originally billed as episodes 1, 2 and 7 of the repeat run. The episodes garnered good ratings given their time slot, and the first six episodes were taken from the BBC's own master tapes, rather than the digital remasters, the rights to which are currently owned by Network Video, "The Baddies" and "The Stone Age" have never been digitally remastered. On Sunday 8 June 2014, during 70s weekend, BBC Two repeated the Montreux '72 Edition of "Kitten Kong" once again, however this has been the only episode to be repeated twice, and no full series have been repeated since.
The process of creating a digital transfer of an analogue tape remasters the material in the digital domain, even if no equalization, compression, or other processing is done to the material. Ideally, because of their higher resolution, a CD or DVD (or even higher quality like high- resolution audio or hi-def video) release should come from the best source possible, with the most care taken during its transfer. Additionally, the earliest days of the CD era found digital technology in its infancy, which sometimes resulted in poor-sounding digital transfers. The early DVD era was not much different, with copies of films frequently being produced from worn prints, with low bitrates and muffled audio.
After disbanding Dire Straits, Mark Knopfler started his career as a solo artist, releasing his first solo album, Golden Heart, in March 1996 after nearly 20 years of collaborations. Brothers in Arms was certified nine times platinum in the US in August 1996. During that year, the entire Dire Straits catalogue was remastered by Bob Ludwig and re-released on CD on Mercury Records, in most of the world outside the United States. The remasters were released in September 2000 in the United States, on Warner Bros. Knopfler, John Illsley, Alan Clark, and Guy Fletcher reunited for one last time on 19 June 1999, with Ed Bicknell on drums, playing five songs including a performance of Chuck Berry's "Nadine" for Illsley's wedding.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is a collection of remasters of the first three games in the Crash Bandicoot series; Crash Bandicoot, Cortex Strikes Back and Warped. Each game features Crash Bandicoot traversing various levels in order to stop Doctor Neo Cortex from taking over the world. Like in the original games, Crash uses spinning and jumping techniques to defeat enemies, smash crates, and collect items such as Wumpa Fruits, extra lives and protective Aku Aku masks. The trilogy adds new features across all three games, including unified checkpoints, pause menus and save systems, including both manual and automatic saving, time trials, which were first introduced in Warped, and the ability to play most levels in each game as Crash's sister, Coco.
Capcom partnered with Nyu Media in 2011 to publish and distribute the Japanese independent (dōjin soft) games that Nyu localized into the English language. The company works with the Polish localization company QLoc to port Capcom's games to other platforms, notably examples are DmC: Devil May Crys PC version and its PlayStation 4 and Xbox One remasters, Dragon's Dogmas PC version released in January 2016, and Dead Risings version on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC released on September 13, 2016. On August 27, 2014, Capcom filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Koei Tecmo Games at the Osaka District Court for 980 million yen in damage. Capcom claimed Koei Tecmo Games infringed a patent it obtained in 2002 regarding a play feature in video games.
Talk Talk released four studio albums on record label EMI in the 1980s, as well as numerous singles, an EMI-curated remix album (It's My Mix), and several EPs. Though the four studio albums were remastered onto CD in the 1980s (and again in 1997), the singles, remix album and EPs all contained B-sides and remixes that were not republished onto CD. A surge in Talk Talk's popularity arose following the 1997 aforementioned remasters of the band's catalogue, which was coupled with a new compilation album entitled The Very Best of Talk Talk, as well as new material from Mark Hollis and .O.rang. To capitalise on this, EMI decided to remaster and re- release all the previously unavailable songs on one double album.
After two appearances in England the band returned to Europe performing in Diksmuide, Belgium and at the Festival Les Aventuriers, in Paris on December 16. On February 6, 2016 the Pere Ubu Film Unit delivered its live underscore once more to Carnival of Souls. This time, a dubbed in Spanish and colorized version of the fil was screened at the Universitat Jaume I in Castelló de la Plana, Spain. Fire Records' release on March 18 of the second archival box set - Architecture of Language 1979-1982 (vinyl remasters of New Picnic Time, The Art of Walking, Song of the Bailing Man and Architectural Salvage a disc of live and alternate mixes) prompted a tour drawing on songs from 1975 to 1982.
The first single from the album, "Snakeskin", was released on 27 October 2007, debuting at No. 30 on the ARIA singles chart, was number-one most voted on JTV, number-one most requested song on Triple J's Super Request and was ranked No. 16 on Triple J's Hottest 100 for 2007. The "Snakeskin" video was shot in Wiltshire, near Stonehenge, south of London. The video sees the band playing in the middle of a 200-metre crop circle that was made specifically for the video, in the same farm where the Led Zeppelin crop circle was made that featured on the cover of the Remasters compilation album. "Snakeskin" was featured in all Network 10 promotions for the 2008 AFL season.
The Henry Cow discography is a list of officially released recordings by English avant-rock group Henry Cow. During their period of activity from 1968 to 1978, they released six albums, including two with German/English avant-pop trio Slapp Happy, and one double live album. Hopes and Fears (1978), considered by some to be "the lost Henry Cow album", was originally recorded as a Henry Cow album, but when some of the band members were unhappy about the predominance of song-oriented material, it was released under the name of Art Bears. In 2006 Recommended Records, Chris Cutler's independent record label, released a 7-CD box set, the Henry Cow Box comprising CD remasters of the original six albums.
Eight tracks from Physical Graffiti appeared on the four-disc Boxed Set and three on Remasters, both in 1990; the remainder appeared on Boxed Set 2 in 1993, while the album was properly reissued in 1994. An extended remastered version of Physical Graffiti was reissued on 23 February 2015, almost exactly forty years after the original album was released. The reissue comes in six formats: a standard two-CD edition, a deluxe three-CD edition, a standard two-LP version, a deluxe three-LP version, a super deluxe three-CD plus three-LP version with a hardback book, and as high resolution 24-bit/96k digital downloads. The deluxe and super deluxe editions feature bonus material containing alternative takes and arrangements of songs.
The Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection (known in PAL regions as Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Classics HD) is a video game bundle that contains high- definition remasters of two PlayStation 2 games, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, for the PlayStation 3. Developed by Bluepoint Games, who assisted in the remastering alongside SCE Japan Studio and its division Team Ico, the bundle provides support for high-definition monitors, higher frame rates, stereoscopic 3D, and additional features for the PlayStation Network. The two games, while fundamentally different in gameplay and story, are thematically connected, with Shadow of the Colossus considered a spiritual sequel to Ico. Both games were critically acclaimed on their original release, while the remastered collection itself was praised by reviewers.
Archives and Artifacts (2005) is a box set by the band Death Angel, consisting of remasters of their first two albums The Ultra-Violence and Frolic through the Park, as well as a bonus CD, and a DVD with video recordings of the band and a music video. There was an error in the first pressing of the box set. The bonus tracks meant for Frolic through the Park ended up on The Ultra- Violence disc, while three tunes from the third disc (the "Rarities" disc) ended up as bonus tracks on Frolic through the Park instead. The songs from the "Kill as One" demo tape, which were meant to be a bonus on The Ultra- Violence, were excluded altogether.
These games included Yooka-Laylee and A Hat in Time, both of which were crowdfunded on the website Kickstarter. The release of Super Mario Odyssey on the Nintendo Switch, which was an updated return to the open ended gameplay style popularized by Super Mario 64, saw some of the most critical acclaim in the franchise's history. The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy compilation on the PlayStation 4 sold over two million copies worldwide, and some critics noted the increased difficulty from the original PlayStation games. Remasters of other classic 3D platformers emerged around this time, namely the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, a remake of 1998's MediEvil, and an HD remaster of Voodoo Vince for Microsoft Windows and the Xbox One.
At least three indoor concerts from this tour (at Pontiac on 30 April, Houston on 21 May and Seattle on 17 July) were professionally shot by the TV International company for the band and projected live on to a giant video screen. None of these performances have been officially released, and to date, only the Seattle video and audio of the Houston show have been made available on unofficial Led Zeppelin bootleg recordings. Producer Jimmy Page was unable to locate multi-track sound recordings from any 1977 shows, and it is unknown if any exist. However, portions of the Seattle video (minus audio) were used to promote the Led Zeppelin Remasters release in 1990 and some were aired as part of the special MTV Led Zeppelin documentary.
Deciding which versions of some of their most popular titles to include also became a topic of debate among the team. Rare decided to include the updated Xbox 360 re- releases of Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, and Perfect Dark instead of the Nintendo 64 originals, as the developers realized the various quality-of-life improvements in these remasters were too valuable even to the purists on their staff. Conversely, they also chose the Nintendo 64 title Conker's Bad Fur Day over its Xbox remake, Conker: Live & Reloaded, which they felt had strayed too far from the original due to being less lenient on censorship. While Rare Replay designers made the final call, other Rare employees and veterans gave input and recollected old game development stories.
Ham suggests that for die-hard Beatles fans, The Apple Years "is essential listening to aid you in getting a little closer to appreciating Harrison's growth as an artist and as a human being".Robert Ham, "George Harrison: The Apple Years: 1968–1975 Review", Paste, 24 September 2014 (retrieved 25 September 2014). In his review for The Second Disc, Joe Marchese compliments the packaging and deems the box set "beautiful inside and out", adding: "The Apple Years presents George Harrison in his many contradictions, but one thing that's crystal-clear is that the music he left behind is music to cherish."Joe Marchese, "Review: The George Harrison Remasters – 'The Apple Years 1968–1975'", The Second Disc, 23 September 2014 (retrieved 25 September 2014).
"Beatles Forever" is an unreleased song by Electric Light Orchestra in 1983, intended for the album Secret Messages, written by Jeff Lynne. Initially, it was to be the seventh track of the double album configuration, featured on side two of the LP. When the album was shortened to a single LP by CBS Records, eight of the eighteen total tracks were removed, including "Beatles Forever." The other seven tracks have since had official releases on various albums and remasters in some form prior to the 2018 double album release. Though this reissue of the parent album was meant to follow the original 1983 intended configuration, "Beatles Forever" was again excluded, making it the only "lost" track from the original album not to appear later as an official bonus track or part of a compilation.
For the 25th anniversary of the group all albums from 1983-2002 were remastered and re-released. The remasters have a second booklet and additional songs. The re-release of Kauf MICH! has the album's b-sides for bonus tracks. There are actually 3 parts of "Der heiße Draht", on which people sing DTH songs over the phone. However, for the remaster, only a "best of" was compiled out of the three. 18. "Krieg und Frieden" ("War and peace") (Meurer/Frege) − 4:58 (from "...wünsch DIR was") 19. "Im Namen des Herrn" ("In the name of the Lord") (Frege/Frege) − 2:08 (from "...wünsch DIR was") 20. "Auf dem Weg zur Nummer 1" ("On the way to number 1") (Rohde/Frege) − 4:01 (from "Alles aus Liebe") 21.
Tom Doyle, "Hari Styles: George Harrison The Apple Years1968–1975", Mojo, November 2014, p. 109. Joe Marchese of The Second Disc writes of the "impeccable" musicianship found throughout Dark Horse and adds: "There are many stellar moments, such as 'Far East Man,' with Scott contributing his trademark jazz-rock saxophone on a deliciously fab slice of 'yacht rock.'"Joe Marchese, "Review: The George Harrison Remasters – 'The Apple Years 1968–1975'", The Second Disc, 23 September 2014 (retrieved 29 September 2014). Blogcritics' Chaz Lipp similarly finds "a lot of rewarding listening" on Dark Horse, and highlights the track as "a smooth soul collaboration with Ron Wood that, once heard, lodges itself in the brain".Chaz Lipp, "Music Review: George Harrison’s Apple Albums Remastered", Blogcritics, 5 October 2014 (retrieved 6 October 2014).
The band had two reunion gigs after their break-up in 2007. On September 30, 2009, the band reunited for a one-night-only gig in Mag:Net Bonifacio High Street as a tribute to Alexis Tioseco and Nika Bohinc, and as a benefit of the victims of Typhoon Ondoy. On February 1, 2012, ten years after its formation and five years removed from their breakup, the band played their final gig at Saguijo. On July 13, 2020, the original line-up of Katwo, Ryan, Wincy, JV and Ed, together with Nico and Tani, recorded a new track during the COVID-19 lockdown, a song penned by Katwo, to drum up publicity of the digital remasters of their 2002-2003 releases on Spotify. Their first single in 14 years, “Juskopo,” received strong reviews, with TheRestIsNoise.
It is already a little dated, but it is still very useful. In addition to all discs from RCA's Toscanini Collection (Gold Seal) and The Immortal (Red Seal), many important broadcasts issued by Naxos, Music and Arts, Testament and others are also included. Caveat: all releases after 2002 are not included, and there is a fair amount of these; for instance, the five discs box-set with the complete Beethoven symphonies (RCA Red Seal). Also misleading is the listing of some old remasters on the Music and Arts label which are now available in better transfers; for instance, Tchaikovsky Manfred and Romeo and Juliet from March 21, 1953, have been re-issued in 2004 as CD-4260, whereas the book gives only the old edition from 1987 (CD-260).
This following three lists contains games that have been remastered and released on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and PlayStation 4 consoles. Some games are part of the original Classics HD and PSP Remasters line, which were PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable games, remastered and released exclusively on the PlayStation 3, followed by PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4. Developers have extended the remastering of games to titles that were not PlayStation originals, and remastered releases have been released on platforms other than PlayStation. Originally, multiple games were remastered into collections, such as God of War Collection, featuring remastered versions of God of War and God of War II. Developers have since also remastered and released games individually, such as Killzone HD, which is a remastered version of Killzone.
It should also be noted that while "Rocker" and "High Voltage" are credited as being the original Australian versions, they fade out at the end; the versions on the original Australian LPs did not fade out but ended abruptly. "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" and "Ain't No Fun (Waitin' 'Round To Be A Millionaire)" were already previously released in their full original Australian lengths on the 1994 international Atco reissue of Dirty Deeds, however, the 2003 Columbia remasters used the shorter versions again. When AC/DC's catalog (except the Australian releases) became available on iTunes in November 2012, the original un-cut versions of "It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)", "Rocker" and "High Voltage" finally saw worldwide release on the digital version of Backtracks.
No indication was given on the inserts or the disc that the latter five tracks were from "Sister Feelings Call". The dropped tracks included "League of Nations" and "Sound in 70 Cities" (an instrumental version of Sons and Fascination's "70 Cities as Love Brings the Fall"), both of which later appeared on the CD single of the 12-inch cut of "The American" and would re-appear in album form in 2002 and 2003 when remasters of the double set were issued under the title Sons and Fascination/Sister Feelings Call. In 2012, Virgin Records released the X5 CD box set containing the band's first five albums, each containing extra tracks. This could be considered to contain the definitive version of the album(s), collecting all the tracks spread across the various releases to date.
" "Shout and Shimmy" became a rare collectible in the US, since it wasn't included on the equivalent version of My Generation released in America, The Who Sings My Generation, and instead would remain unissued until it was belatedly released as the opening song to Who's Missing, a collection of rare tracks by the Who was released in 1985. The group would eventually revisit the song, recording it for their 1979 documentary film The Kids Are Alright. It has since been included on reissues and remasters of My Generation. Ultimate Classic Rock ranked it 130 on their list of All 245 Who Songs Ranked Worst to Best in 2018, stating "A party record that captures an element of how frenetic these James Brown covers must have sounded at early Who gigs.
Concorde is an album by the Modern Jazz Quartet, recorded in New York on July 2, 1955, and first released that year as an LP, Prestige 7005, with liner notes by Ira Gitler. The album was reissued in 2008 as part of the Rudy Van Gelder Remasters collection. The album is the first to feature drummer Connie Kay, who replaced Kenny Clarke in 1955. It is also the first Modern Jazz Quartet LP conceived from the beginning as a long playing record; previous MJQ recordings had been released as 78's, 10 inch 33's or reissues of these formats on a 12-inch LP. The liner notes acknowledge the additional playing time of the LP format by asking the listener to regard this album as a performance set "at one of America's leading jazz rooms".
Iron Maiden's first appearance on an album was on the Metal for Muthas compilation (released on 15 February 1980) with two early versions of "Sanctuary" and "Wrathchild". The release led to an ensuing tour which featured several other bands linked with the new wave of British heavy metal. Paul Di'Anno and Steve Harris supporting Judas Priest on their British Steel Tour, 1980 Iron Maiden released their self-titled album in 1980, which debuted at No. 4 in the UK Albums Chart. In addition to the title track (a live version of which would be one of the first music videos aired on MTV), the album includes other early favourites such as "Running Free", "Transylvania", "Phantom of the Opera", and "Sanctuary" – which was not on the original UK release, but appeared on the US version and subsequent remasters.
Ace Attorney is a series of adventure video game legal dramas developed by Capcom. The first entry in the series, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, was released in 2001; since then, five further main series games, as well as various spin-offs and high-definition remasters for newer game consoles, have been released. Additionally, the series has seen adaptations in the form of a live-action film and an anime, and has been the base for manga series, drama CDs, musicals and stage plays. The player takes the roles of various defense attorneys, including Phoenix Wright, his mentor Mia Fey, and his understudies Apollo Justice and Athena Cykes, and investigates cases and defends their clients in court; they find the truth by cross-examining witnesses and finding inconsistencies between the testimonies and the evidence they have collected.
Lady Gasoline draws on a wider range of influences than Singleton's first album, Twisted City (the Lady Gasoline press release cited a diverse range of influences including Lou Reed, eighties electropop, glam rock and The Stone Roses). Reviews were generally positive: Music Week described it as 'packed full of musical depth and surefire radio hits', Q Magazine praised its eclecticism and Ireland's Sunday Business Post gave it a four star review, praising it for having "yearning lyrics, poetic metaphors and an agreeable dose of spite". A dissenting voice came from The Irish Times' Lauren Murphy, who felt the album amounted to 'pedestrian pop' and described Singleton's battle with hyperacusis as an 'angle'. The record was produced by Chris Singleton and like Twisted City was mastered at Abbey Road, by Steve Rooke, the engineer responsible for the 2009 Beatles remasters.
It also includes the band's only non-album B-side, "Hey, Hey, What Can I Do" of the 1970 single "Immigrant Song", previously unavailable on compact disc. To differentiate this box set from a set of selections taken from it, the Remasters box set released the following month, in some markets this release is listed under the title The Complete Collection. To further the confusion, in both cases this is different from The Complete Studio Recordings box set released three years later, which includes all nine of the band's studio albums on ten discs, with the three extra tracks appended to Coda, along with the 1969 recording "Baby Come On Home", first released on the two-disc Led Zeppelin Boxed Set 2. The "Moby Dick/Bonzo's Montreux" mix is also included in the promotional interview album Profiled (1990).
The actual sessions had taken place in June 1953, December 1954, and January 1955, and (as Prestige Records had yet to enter the 12-inch LP era) were first released on two 10-inch albums, entitled Modern Jazz Quartet (PRLP 160, 1953, whose second side contained "The Queen's Fancy", "Delauney's Dilemma", "Autumn In New York" and "But Not For Me") and The Modern Jazz Quartet, Vol. 2 (PRLP 170, 1955, containing "Django", "One Bass Hit", "Milano" and "La Ronde Suite"). The first session took place in New York, but the eventual Hackensack, New Jersey sessions were engineered by Rudy Van Gelder; the whole album was reissued in 2006 as part of the Rudy Van Gelder Remasters collection. "Django" (like the other original material on the album) was composed by the group's pianist and musical director, John Lewis.
The PS3 slim also includes support for CEC (more commonly referred to by its manufacturer brandings of BraviaSync, VIERA Link, EasyLink etc.) which allows control of the console over HDMI by using the TV's remote control. The PS3 Slim no longer has the "main power" switch like the previous PS3 models, similar to redesigned slimline PlayStation 2. Support for emulation to play PS2 titles is not present in the Slim version, however shortly after the release of the PS3 slim, Sony announced a new series of PS2 remasters called Classics HD as in PS2 and PSP titles remastered in HD for the PS3 with Trophies and sometimes PlayStation Move compatibility added. As of October 2011, PS2 classics are available for purchase in the PlayStation Store. The PS3 slim was officially released on September 1, 2009, in North America and Europe and on September 3, 2009, in Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
Early in Kilbey's career, many of his lyrics touched upon mysticism. Examples include the lyrics for "Tear It All Away", a 1981 composition that appeared on the Church's Australian single "Too Fast for You" and their first US album. His study of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, while he was immersed in occult exploration, is reflected in the 1982 instrumental "The Golden Dawn" (originally a b-side, but later included on the Church's Hindsight compilation and reissues/remasters of The Blurred Crusade).2013 interview with Leigh Blackmore for as-yet-unpublished volume on Kilbey's spirituality Kilbey's longstanding interest in the writings of Aleister Crowley appears in his songwriting up until 2003—the line "They say that in the future, every man and woman will be a star" (from "Song in Space") is Kilbey paraphrasing verse I:3 of Crowley's The Book of the Law.

However, in a December 2004 interview, Kodama stated that while there had been plans for a sequel, the project was put on hold indefinitely while many members of the team were pulled into working on Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love.MAN!AC Magazine (German), December 2004 issue, Rieko Kodama Interview, Cybermedia Starting in 2010, Sega began a campaign of releasing HD remasters of Dreamcast games digitally on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles, including games such as Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi, Sonic Adventure 2, and Jet Set Radio. In 2012, Sega brand manager Ben Harborne stated that a Skies of Arcadia HD was a likely next release, after Shenmue, as they were the most frequently requested titles for re-release. Sega renewed the Skies of Arcadia trademark later in the same year, though a re-release did not materialize.
The Doors features many of the group's most famous compositions, including "Light My Fire", "Break On Through (To the Other Side)", and "The End". In 1969, Morrison stated: Interviewed by Lizze James, he pointed out the meaning of the verse "My only friend, the end": "Break On Through (To the Other Side)" was released as the group's first single but it was relatively unsuccessful, peaking at No. 104 in Cash Box and No. 126 in Billboard. Elektra Records edited the line "she gets high", knowing a drug reference would discourage airplay (most remasters from 1999 onward have the original portions of both "Break On Through" and "The End" restored). The song is in 4/4 time and quite fast-paced, starting with Densmore's bossa nova drum groove in which a clave pattern is played as a rim click underneath a driving ride cymbal pattern.
One Little Indian Records remastered and re-released D. I. Go Pop and the band's following album Technicolour on CD on 9 March 2004 in the UK and 20 April 2004 in the US, coinciding with the tenth anniversary of D. I. Go Pop. In the US, this re-release was part of One Little Indian's "Crossing the Pond" series of remastered editions of British albums that were never released domestically in the United States. PopMatters said that "a full decade after D. I. Go Pop's initial release, it's the perfect opportunity for people to discover one of rock's most innovative, tragically overlooked bands, and might I add, it's about bloody time." Pitchfork considered the remasters of the two albums to be "the jewels in the crown of One Little Indian's 'Crossing the Pond' reissue campaign" alongside A.R. Kane's 69 (1988) and i (1989).
All of the songs on Barry's & Robin's disc have already been released on CD, though several are receiving new remasters by Rhino/Reprise, which is true for all the songs in this set. Maurice's disc includes two unreleased tracks from 1999, "Angel of Mercy" and "The Bridge", as well as his 1984 single "Hold Her in Your Hand", which makes its CD debut. Missing from Maurice's disc is his jazzy "My Thing" from 1970 and a rare B-side, "I've Come Back" from 1970, of which the latter has never been released on CD. Andy's disc contains his previously unreleased final song from 1987, "Arrow Through the Heart", which was briefly heard on Behind the Music: Andy Gibb. Originally scheduled to be released on 3 November 2009, it was subsequently pushed back to March 2010, but was removed from Rhino's release schedule as that date approached.
This allowed phonograph owners with such a console to raise or lower just the center (mono) channel to their individually desired level. The label was out of the business of recording new cast albums by the end of the 1950s. Decca was bought by MCA and in the early 1970s many of these titles were re-released on the MCA label, all using the fake stereo masters, a condition which for the most part wasn't even beginning to be rectified until 20 years later until expanded silver, gold and diamond anniversary editions were prepared - some using pristine previously-unheard safety masters of some performances that had become worn out after repeated re-mastering.. MCA released many of their classic shows on CD in the 1990s, going back to original master discs and tapes to generate excellent sounding (and complete) remasters of the originals. When MCA and PolyGram were merged into the new Universal Music Group, a new label, Decca Broadway, was born.
While in the Camel camp, Watkins re-recorded the HTM track, "Eye of the Storm" onto Camel's 1979 Arista release I Can See Your House from Here, and two more Happy the Man tracks, "Labyrinth" and "While Crome Yellow Shine", on his 1980 solo album Labyrinth, recorded with the assistance of ex-HTM drummer Coco Roussel. Watkins and Roussel gigged as a duo with backing tapes in 1980–81 in and around the Baltimore – DC area, and would go on to collaborate on their 1984 duo album In Time and Roussel's 1992 solo CD Reaching Beyond. Happy the Man continues to be a cult favorite in progressive rock circles, the interest in their music fueled by the Internet, iTunes, Amazon, and Kit Watkins' CD remasters and reissues and various archival releases. In 1990, a compilation of demos from 1974–75, Beginnings, was released by Kit on the Cuneiform Records Label as part of their Wayside Music Archive Series.
Anthology is the 13th album by Ensemble Renaissance, released in 1997 on the Al Segno label in Germany. The double disc is the greatest hits compilation of the Medieval and Renaissance music; the material on this Anthology are remasters from Ensemble's LPs Greatest Hits 3, Mon amy, Hommage а l'amour. The first disc Hommage a l'amour is a collection of the European Medieval music, beginning with goliard tunes from the codices Carmina Burana and Cambridge Songs, trouvere and minnesanger songs, Spanish monophonic songs from the Cantigas de Santa Maria and polyphonic songs from the Llibre Vermell de Montserrat, traveler's dances from the Balkan, England, France, and especially Italian Trecento dances from the famous London manuscript 29987. The second disc Mon amy is dedicated to the friendly atmosphere of the Renaissance music with works from the Cancionero de Palacio, dance collections by Tielman Susato, Claude Gervaise, Michael Praetorius, Italian renaissance madrigals and tunes, and also music of the Elizabethan epoch and Shakespeare's theatre, including John Dowland.
Since the early 1990s, the UK arts collective Circlemakers, founded by artists Rod Dickinson and John Lundberg (and subsequently including artists Wil Russell and Rob Irving), have been creating crop circles in the UK and around the world as part of their art practice and for commercial clients. The Led Zeppelin Boxed Set that was released on 7 September 1990, along with the remasters of the first boxed set, as well as the second boxed set, all feature an image of a crop circle that appeared in East Field in Alton Barnes, Wiltshire. Aerial view of a crop circle in Diessenhofen On the night of 11–12 July 1992, a crop-circle making competition with a prize of £3,000 (funded in part by the Arthur Koestler Foundation) was held in Berkshire. The winning entry was produced by three Westland Helicopters engineers, using rope, PVC pipe, a plank, string, a telescopic device and two stepladders.
Internationally, Red Dwarf Remastered was sold to Japan, South America and other countries with significant success — finding fresh audiences who were unaware of its remastered status. The availability of isolated audio tracks for language dubbing allowed the programme to reach more foreign-language broadcasters. Most recent UK repeats and the DVD releases of the show have been of the original untreated versions, although appearances depend on a channel's individual archive — in early 2003 the remastered "Marooned" incongruously appeared during a repeat run of the series on UKTV Gold that otherwise consisted of the original versions; and they have also popped up from time to time on UKTV G2 in addition to Virgin Media's On Demand service. Netflix currently has the original versions on their DVD-by-mail service having previously provided the remasters on the web-based streaming service, and the remastered versions were inadvertently sold on iTunes until mid-2009 when they were "corrected" to the original versions.
EMI and Bill Nelson chose to include all of the band's albums, single edits and B-sides as part of this release with the exception of the pre-Axe Victim, independently released Smile single "Teenage Archangel" / "Jets At Dawn" as part of this set. Although Nelson did not supervise the release he gave final approval on the remasters and agreed to provide a disc of rarities to help sell the set if EMI paid him royalties on the release. The two Smile tracks can be found on the compilation Postcards From the Future... Introducing Be-Bop Deluxe (2004) and Nelson's 40-year career retrospective, 8-CD set, The Practice Of Everyday Life (2011). Despite Be-Bop Deluxe's commercial success, Bill Nelson stated that he had never received royalties for the earlier CD release of his back catalog on EMINelson, Bill diary of a hyperdreamer (2004) Pp. 486-93 Bill Nelson's collected diaries from between 1999 and 2003, previously published on his official website Pomona until the 2011 CD reissue/remaster of his back catalog.
Wish You Were Here has been remastered and re-released on several formats. In the UK and US the album was re-issued in quadraphonic using the SQ format in 1976, and in 1980 a special Hi-Fi Today audiophile print was released in the UK. It was released on CD in Japan in October 1982, in the US in 1983, and in the UK in 1985, and again as a remastered CD with new artwork in 1994. In the US, Columbia's CBS Mastersound label released a half-speed mastered audiophile LP in 1981, and in 1994 Sony Mastersound released a 24-carat gold-plated CD, remastered using Super Bit Mapping, with the original artwork from the LP in both longbox and jewel case forms, the latter with a cardboard slipcover. The album was included as part of the box set Shine On, and five years later Columbia Records released an updated remastered CD, 17 seconds longer than the EMI remasters from 1994, giving a running time of 44:28.
In October 1998, as part of the "Factory Once" series of Durutti Column remasters, London Records released a remastered version of Obey the Time. As bonus tracks, it features "The Together Mix" and the "Up- Person Remix" of "Fridays", as well as, in an unusual "discography switcheroo", "Kis of Def," a moody jungle remix of "My Last Kiss" from Reilly's 1998 album Time Was...Gigantic, named for a line from New Order's "The Perfect Kiss". Wilson explained in the liner notes that the anachronistic inclusion of "Kiss of Def" as a bonus track was because he and London Records "submit it as a most recent example of Vini 'obeying' the time and as such connecting to the music of [the Obey the Time period] and taking us up to where the ripples of '88 still make interesting patterns on the shore". The remix was created by Kier, the producer of the Time Was...Gigantic, and Wilson described it as "sorta post-trance, sub-jungle, retro-ambient or something".
During the production of Final Fantasy Type-0, the development team explored the possibility of a high-definition port of the game. The idea never went beyond experimentation as the team was focused on keeping the game as a portable experience. The team also experimented with a sequel on eighth generation consoles, but production was halted when the development team were transferred to Final Fantasy XV. After some time working on XV, original director Hajime Tabata decided to develop Type-0 HD for eighth-generation consoles. The game began development in mid-2012, around the same time XV was shifted onto PlayStation 4 (PS4) and Xbox One. Tabata came on board in July of that year as director and producer, though his involvement was fairly minor due to his directing duties for XV. The main development was handled by HexaDrive, who had previously collaborated successfully with Square Enix on The 3rd Birthday, and had developed the high-definition remasters of Ōkami and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.
One of the most popular box sets of all time is "The Nightmare on Elm Street Collection" released in 1999 by New Line Platinum Series, which contained the original seven films, a bonus DVD containing special features titled The Nightmare Series Encyclopedia, two pairs of 3-D glasses for the last ten minutes of Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare, a commemorative booklet about the films titled The Nightmare is Alive and more. Other notable boxsets include the Dragon Ball Z "Dragon Box" set, often considered to be the best release of the series to date due to the high quality of the remasters and the plentiful number of features, the "Shirley Temple Little Darling" DVD collection, an 18-disc DVD box set of Shirley Temple movies which were constantly advertised on TV for years as a "limited time offer", and the "Star Wars Trilogy: The Definitive Collection" LaserDisc box set, which was one of the last home video releases of the original trilogy before the special editions. With the advent of streaming services such as Netflix, a "box set" also describes a series where all episodes are available to watch immediately, as opposed to traditional scheduling.
The former headquarters of Apple Records at 3 Savile Row in London. The Radha Krsna Temple is an example of the Beatles' adventurous approach to running their record label. Alan Clayson identifies the influence of the Radha Krishna Temple's recordings, along with the East–West musical fusion of Harrison's 1968 solo album Wonderwall Music, on Britpop bands such as Kula Shaker, whom he describes as "the most exotic of all the new Top-40 arrivals of the mid 1990s". In addition to incorporating the Sanskrit term Achintya-bheda-abheda in their 1996 hit "Tattva", Kula Shakar released a single in November that year, "Govinda", named after the Temple's second hit song (but in fact a cover of "Govinda Jai Jai").Clayson, p. 439. AllMusic editor Stephen Thomas Erlewine states that Radha Krishna Temple (London)'s 1970 hit "pretty much provided the blueprint for Kula Shaker's career",Stephen Thomas Erlewine, "Various Artists Come and Get It: The Best of Apple Records", AllMusic (retrieved 19 September 2014). while David Cavanagh of Uncut wrote in 2010 that The Radha Krsna Temple "should appeal to fans of Tinariwen, not to mention lead singers of Kula Shaker".David Cavanagh, "The Apple Remasters", Uncut, November 2010, p. 112.
The game is now being translated in full to make up for the missing foreign dialogue. The game was released on 17 December 2014. It was also released for Mac through the App Store on 6 January 2016. A PC port is not in the works, but in discussions. However, on 25 February 2016, Oddworld Inhabitants revealed they are working with Square One Games on an updated port of Munch's Oddysee for the Steam platform that includes HD environment assets, though they stopped short of saying the entire game will be an HD remaster. The HD remasters of Munch and Stranger were included with original versions of Abe's Oddysee and Exoddus in the PlayStation release of the Oddboxx on 6 November 2013 for European and Australian markets. A PlayStation 4 version of Stranger HD with "new dynamics" has been mentioned, contingent on discussions about budget and schedules. On 24 October 2016, Oddworld Inhabitants announced they have teamed with Limited Run Games to bring Stranger's Wrath HD to the PS Vita on a physical disc, their second such partnership with Limited Run Games, and only the second time they have published a game on disc since they became a self-publisher.
Bluepoint Games' first title, Blast Factor (2006), launched when Sony debuted its PlayStation 3, and was one of only two downloadable PS3 games available at the time. On August 31, 2009, it was announced that remastered versions of God of War and God of War II would be coming to the PlayStation 3 as God of War Collection. The ports were handled by Bluepoint Games and released on November 17, 2009 in North America. God of War Collection was then released in other regions from March to April 2010. At the 2010 Tokyo Game Show, it was announced that Bluepoint Games would be handling a second wave of high- definition remasters for PlayStation consoles, this time remastering the PlayStation 2 games Ico and Shadow of the Colossus as The Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection for the PlayStation 3 for release in North America, Japan and Europe in September 2011. Years later, in 2018, Bluepoint would remake Shadow of the Colossus for the PlayStation 4. They also handled the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, which includes remastered HD versions of Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, and was released on November 8, 2011. Bluepoint Games collaborated with SuperBot Entertainment to develop PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale (2012).
