Laga'aia is known for his part on Australian children's TV show Playschool, and also for his role as Captain Typho in the films Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. He played the recurring role of Draco in three episodes of the television series Xena: Warrior Princess. Laga'aia was a regular in Australian television shows Water Rats, Play School, Surprise Surprise, and a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother in 2002 and had a guest role as Gabriel in McLeod's Daughters. He is also known for his stage productions such as The Lion King.

The County Council estimates a population of approximately 60 persons living within the proposed development boundary. The main focus of the village is Duke Park football pitch (home to Laragh United Gaelic Football Club) and the Stradone Community Centre, which contains a playschool, gym and shop. There is no school or church within the village (these are located in the nearby Laragh area) and convenience retail is provided by the Post Office which is located beside The Cross’ public house outside the proposed village boundary. The village provides mainly social and community services to the surrounding community.

In 1972 Kamen moved to Los Angeles with her boyfriend Jim Hodder. Manny's father says that he is winning at craps and does not want to leave the table and take Manny to Disneyland as promised, something that disgusts Jay. Going outside to tell Manny, he makes up an excuse saying that his father will not be able to make it due to flight delays. He then tells Manny that the limousine was sent by his father to take all three of them to Disneyland, even though originally it was for Jay and Gloria's trip. In third plot line of the episode, Cameron (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) go to the playschool with Lily (Ella Hiller/Jaden Hiller).

The naive but kind-hearted Soky was exuberant, as Dustin pointed out Laa-Laa the Teletubby, and wanted to find presents for his Mammy (Geri Maye) his best friend (Thomas), and "all the boys and girls in playschool". Despite Soky being a preschooler, Damo and Dustin allowed him to wander off in the busy store, whilst they went in search of Mr. Micro Blue Bucket, Dustin mistaking a Furby for Anne Doyle along the way. Soky's pet cat is Charlie.

Beginning her career in the mid 1970s at the BBC as a television floor manager, working on programmes including Playschool, Grandstand and Doctor Who, Brinton became a Cambridgeshire County Councillor in 1993 and contested the parliamentary seat of South East Cambridgeshire at the 1997 and 2001 general elections. Baroness Brinton was Bursar of Lucy Cavendish College, Cambridge, from 1992 to 1997, and Selwyn College, Cambridge, from 1997 to 2002. In 1997 she won the East Anglian entrepreneurial businesswoman of the year award. She was also founder member of the Board of the East of England Development Agency from December 1998 to December 2004 (Deputy Chair from 2001 to 2004).

Amenities include a corner shop on the main road to the south of the village, a community centre (which during the week is used as a playschool and at other times can be rented out for events such as christenings and birthdays), Breadsall Church of England Primary School, and also a Centre of Education, which assists mentally and physically handicapped people with their education at both Secondary school and A-Level standards. Breadsall also has a large village green and sports field, where cricket and football are played. Breadsall Cricket Club has been on this site since the 1950s and remains a thriving institution within Breadsall and the surrounding locale. The population of the village is approximately 630.

In 1953, she was appointed to the newly created post of Editor of Women's Television Programmes at the BBC. In 1963, she became head of family programmes, and one of the first women to hold an executive position in the corporation. She spearheaded programmes which introduced cookery personality Fanny Cradock and keep-fit expert Eileen Fowler to viewers, as well as bringing in Playschool and Dougal in The Magic Roundabout for children. She was persuaded to join London Weekend Television by David Frost, along with her BBC junior Joy Whitby, at the future ITV contractor's beginnings in 1967, and the two women were appointed to run the children's programmes department,Alistair McGown "Children's TV in the 1960s", BFI screenonline although Stephens resigned after only two years when the company ran into difficulties.

The Hollywood Reporter's review considered that the Irons mission placed "him closer to, say, Nick Broomfield", "Brady's script has a playschool-simple four-part structure, examining the three main methods of trash-disposal -- landfill, incineration and sea-dumping", while "digital cinematography by Sean Bobbitt present a range of disturbing images with unblinking clarity -- and eventually any grounds for optimism become dispiritingly elusive".
