Peter Ellis, a child-care worker at the Christchurch Civic Crèche in New Zealand, was found guilty of 16 counts of sexual abuse against children in 1992 and served seven years in jail. Four female co-workers were also arrested on 15 charges of abuse, but were released after these charges were dismissed. Peter Ellis has consistently denied any abuse, and the case is still considered controversial by many New Zealanders.

Generally these American playgrounds were incorporated in large public recreation parks, usually with elements such as playgrounds, open air gymnasiums, running tracks and field houses, which provided covered accommodation for halls, administrative offices, libraries and club rooms. Usually the playgrounds were associated with an adjacent kindergarten or crèche, and this is thought to have been due to Mary Josephine Bedford's involvement with the Crèche and Kindergarten Association. This group formed in 1907 with the purpose of instituting and maintaining day nurseries and free kindergartens for the children of the poor in Brisbane.

Wilcox is also remembered as a founder of the Charity Organization Society and the Fitch Crèche, the first day center for working mothers in the United States. Many of these groups met informally the Wilcox home to make decisions and plan events. He was also a founding member of the Wanakah Country Club and enjoyed riding his horses and polo ponies in Delaware Park. The garden at 641 Delaware was also one of his passions.

The church was built in 1817 as a Wesleyan Methodist chapel. It cost £6,000, and was one of the first public buildings in the country to be lit by gas. It was remodelled in 1862–63 by Poulton and Woodman. Henriëtte Pimentel Henriëtte Henriquez Pimentel (17 April 1876 – 17 September 1943) was a Dutch teacher and trained nurse who during the Second World War headed a crèche in Amsterdam which cared for small children while their parents were otherwise occupied. Together with Walter Süskind and Johan van Hulst, from around October 1942 she helped to save the lives of hundreds of Jewish infants by smuggling them into the homes of sympathetic host families. After being arrested by the Nazis in April 1943, she died in the Auschwitz concentration camp the following September.

Born in Amsterdam on 17 April 1876, Henriëtte Henriquez Pimentel was the youngest daughter of the diamond cutter Nathan Henriquez Pimentel (1837–1893) and Rachel Oppenheimer (1841–1929). Together with her seven siblings, she was brought up in a well family. After following a teacher's training course, in the 1920s she worked as a governess and a kindergarten teacher in Bussum. The landing ships picked a breeding site to land on (in Human terms, they landed on a combination of maternity ward and crèche), many nests were destroyed, Nest Guardians and young were killed. All the tribes of 'the people' (the natives name for themselves) in that area united against the attack on their nests, as nests and Nest Guardians are sacred. They viewed the attackers (the colony landing ships) as nothing more than mindless animals to be exterminated without quarter.

Principal photography began on December 19, 2014, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where scenes were filmed at Pittsburgh Crèche, at the U.S. Steel Tower, and at the PPG Place. Filming was also done on Ligonier Diamond in Ligonier. Filming took place at Butler Memorial Hospital in Butler, PA, in January and February 2015, and at Orchard Hill Church, during the week of February the first. Filming also took place in the residential areas of Sewickley and Edgewood, at a diner in Millvale, various areas of South Fayette, Mt. Lebanon, West Mifflin, Franklin Park, Churchill and Wilkinsburg, along with the Boyce Park Slopes.

Kiwi chick From 2001, North Island brown kiwi have been introduced to the island. As part of the Department of Conservation's Operation Nest Egg Program numerous chicks have been released on the island because of its largely predator-free status. It has proved a safe place for them to grow to or more in weight in 12–18 months, at which stage they are able to defend themselves from most predators and are released back to the mainland. Over the four years 2004–2007 a total of 47 kiwi chicks graduated from the island "crèche" and were returned to the mainland.

Architect of the Temporary American Centre in Paris, Seraji has completed several notable buildings and projects, including apartment buildings in Vienna, student housing in Paris (2003) and an extension to the School of Architecture in Lille (2006), the latter were both nominated for the Mies Van der Rohe Prize in 2005 and 2007 respectively. Seraji was among the Jury members of the second 2A Continental Architectural Award held at Vienna, Austria in 2016. Big Heavy Beautiful, a complex mixed-use building for the Paris Transportation Authority comprising 213 housing units, a crèche, a bus depot and an associative garden was inaugurated in 2017.

It is a High- tech architecture structure, with use of exposed steel, aluminium panels and glass. It has a sales area of 30,883 sq ft with underground parking for 299 cars. The site also an includes a row of terrace houses (1-12 Grand Union Walk), the Grand Union House office block and a small crèche building comprising a row of studio spaces, for a site bounded by the Grand Union Canal and two of Camden's busiest roads.

Catherine S. Roskam of the Anglican Communion, has long had a ritual titled Blessing of a Christmas Tree, as well as Blessing of a Crèche, for use in the church and the home. Chrismon trees are a variety developed in 1957 by a Lutheran laywoman in Virginia, as a specifically religious version appropriate for a church's Christmas celebrations, although most Christian churches continue to display the traditional Christmas tree in their sanctuaries during Christmastide. In 2005, the city of Boston renamed the spruce tree used to decorate the Boston Common a "Holiday Tree" rather than a "Christmas Tree". The Institute initially provided a safe night shelter for women and a crèche, which Brown expanded to provide Bible classes throughout the West End, a training home for girls and a men's labour home. Brown served as the superintendent and honorary president of the Institute, which was funded by charitable donations. Founded in 2004, the community grew rapidly over its first four years. The development of social and recreational facilities initially lagged behind the development of housing in the community, however developments since 2008 saw the completion of a small commercial centre, a primary school, large community centre, crèche, two tennis courts and football/rugby pitches, and two modern well-appointed playgrounds. The Catholic presence in Mt Victoria dates from 1885 when a octagonal, wooden, church was built in Buckle St, west of the Basin Reserve, next to St Patrick's College (founded in that year). Later the crèche and incurables hospital founded by Mother Aubert were built adjacent to and east of the church. In 1898, nearby land was set aside on the corner of Tory St and Buckle St as the site for a new cathedral for Wellington following the destruction by fire of St Mary's Cathedral. The building of this cathedral was continually delayed and this affected the subsequent building history of the parish as the cathedral would also have served as the parish church.

As part of her role as a member of French royalty, Anne visited churches and convents across France, where she met Marguerite de Veny d'Arbouze at the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce de la-Ville-d'Evêque. As well as securing from the King the position of Abbess at the Benedictine Val-de-Grâce de Notre- Dame-de-la-Crèche for Marguerite in 1618, Anne purchased lands and transferred the convent to Paris in 1621. Samples taken from Enterprise and Rainbow Chicken polony products at the crèche the children attended tested positive for the strain of listeriosis causing the outbreak and led investigators to the infected production facilities. On March 4, 2018, Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi announced that the disease was traced to the Enterprise processed meats factory in Polokwane. Environmental samples from the factory were found to contain the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes strain ST 6, the strain responsible for the outbreak. Additionally, further samples from another Enterprise factory in Germiston and from a Rainbow Chicken factory in the Free State tested positive for Listeria, although which strain these samples tested positive for is not yet known.

Brighton Women’s Centre was formed in November 1974 by a group of women who wanted to create a space where women could meet, for mutual support, to overcome social isolation and feel safe. In 1989 a grant from Brighton and Hove City Council, then Brighton Council, enabled the Centre to secure its own premises. The Centre moved 12 years later to the Brighthelm Community Centre, then in 2006 to the High Street, Kemptown and is now based at 22 Richmond Place, Brighton. In 1992 the Centre set up a registered crèche called ToyBox, to offer childcare to mothers in temporary bed and breakfast accommodation and where the children were suffering deprivation through low income, language barriers or both.

The Hillhouse & Earnock Community Centre is situated on Hillhouse Road and is used by residents of both Hillhouse and Earnock. It was reopened in 2003 having undergone refurbishment after an arson attack in 2001. Facilities include a main hall which can be divided into two smaller halls (Jubilee Hall and the Hillhouse Room), a youth area, a crèche, a large library and an 'Active IT' area which provides computers, printing facilities and internet access for free; a café is also operated in the centre by local volunteers. The Routes to Work project is based in the Earnock Room and the Wellhall and Udston rooms are used for a range of activities organised by the Up4It project.

Numerous methods were used to move the hidden children from the school. Soon after the unbanning of political parties and exiled freedom fighters constituting the liberation movement in 1990, Nosipho was elected as the chairperson of the African National Congress Women’s League (ANCWL) for the Uitenhage region. She continued her activist work and serving the people and community of Uitenhage and in 1994 was elected as the first councillor under the banner of the new democratically constituted Uitenhage Transitional Local Council for a period spanning five years until 1999. After this, she took time away from political life due to an illness but continued to volunteer as a teacher at the Ruth Dano crèche in Uitenhage. She subsequently passed away in May 2009 at the age of 71 years.

When the ACLU claimed the government sponsorship of a distinctly Christian symbol violated separation of church and state, the sponsors of the fifty-year-old Christmas celebration, Pageant of Peace, who had an exclusive permit from the Interior Department for all events on the Ellipse, responded that the nativity scene was a reminder of America's spiritual heritage. The United States Court of Appeals ruled on December 12, 1969, that the crèche be allowed that year. Sophie Scholl one of the founders of the White Rose, a non-violent Anti Nazi resistance student group from the University of Munich, lived in Blumberg for six months at the beginning of World War II, while working for the Reichsarbeitsdienst, State Labor Service, as an 'Arbeitsmaiden', a female worker. In 1940 she helped at a Protestant crèche in Blumberg. This had been set up to care for children of women forcibly recruited to work, in jobs considered important for the war effort, and in her memory the 'Kindergarten Sophie-Scholl' was opened February 28, 1992. Executed for treason on February 22, 1943 she, and the group to which she belonged, have been the subject of many books and films.

The club was born from a group of youths from Las Piedras, Uruguay who played soccer at San Isidro Catholic school. On December 24, 1935 the boys arrived at school expecting to play (as always having arranged the match the day before), but when they got there the priests had forbidden it as they were preparing a big nativity crèche set on the field. Angry, the students, among them Carlos Maria Cabrera (who would later become the first president of the club) met in the town square and decided to found the club on Christmas Eve 1935, in rebellion against the priests. Having created the club, Cabrera prompted them with the T-shirts to promote his father's business, who had a store on the corner of the square.

Established in 1990, Splashy Fen is South Africa's longest-running music festival, which every Easter attracts thousands of people to a farm near Underberg, KwaZulu-Natal for a unique outdoor music experience. In 1945 the octagonal Buckle St church, which at times was used for functions appropriate to a pro-cathedral, was demolished because of its decrepit state, and the parish shifted to the east of the Basin reserve, into a renovated hall, beside the parish school staffed by the Sisters of Mercy, in Paterson Street, near the residence of Archbishop O'Shea. This is more or less the site of the present church. Sacred Heart Basilica, Hill Street, Thorndon, was dedicated as the cathedral for Wellington in 1984 after the proposed Tory St/Buckle St cathedral site had been acquired by the Crown for motorway construction. The octagonal church and the unbuilt cathedral sites are now largely included in the Pukeahu National War Memorial Park, which includes the transported and preserved Mother Aubert crèche, with State Highway one running through the Arras Tunnel underneath.

Church of St. Gunther in Hartmanice-Dobrá Voda St. Gunther's Way (; ) is a walking holiday route that runs from Niederalteich Abbey on the Danube via Rinchnach and the Guntherstein into Bohemia.Bavarian Walking Holidays Departing from the Niederalteich Monastery on the Danube, the path goes deep into the Bavarian Forest and across the Czech border to hamlet Dobrá Voda (now part of town Hartmanice). In that hamlet stands the only church in the world dedicated to this person, the Church of Saint Gunther (); built in the years of 1706–34 and carefully renovated to 1995, on the occasion of 950 years since the saint's death. During the reconstruction, interior of the church was newly created by Czech artist Vladimíra Tesařová in a unique way: altar, sacrificial table, lectern, crèche, Stations of the Cross and the statue of Gunther himself are all cast from glass.

When he retired from the academic duties of IIMB in 1983, Ramaswamy founded a non governmental organization, Centre for Action Research Technology for Man, Animal and Nature (CARTMAN) for promoting environmental and ecological issues and for introducing appropriate technologies to the rural areas. The organization is known to be active in animal welfare, technology and environmental education and runs a two-acre eco-park in Koramangala in Bangalore which houses an animal welfare centre, a herbarium with medicinal and endangered plants and a crèche for the children of financially compromised families. The organisation ‘Second Chance to Learn’ was set up in 1985 by EUS to reach the parts of society that formal education was failing to reach. 2nd Chance to Learn classes were informal and community based, they aimed to enable people to attain basic skills, raise self-esteem and provide routes to certification to take the next steps into further learning and employment. In 2008 it was reported that 80 percent of the Second Chance students had no previous qualifications, 85 per cent lived in areas of urban deprivation, 40 per cent were single parents, 25 per cent were unemployed men and 12 per cent had disabilities. It was suggested that 80 per cent of those who engaged with classes then progressed to further education. As part of the 'Sure start Scotland' programme ‘Second Chance to Learn’ courses included childcare work supported by crèche facilities, speech and language therapy groups for parents, fathers’ groups, projects for parents with learning difficulties, an ethnic minority parenting project and a support for those experiencing post-natal depression.
