Homophobic detective Mark Rima must "partner" up with flamboyant gay detective Chris Riant to stop a serial- killing nun from killing five members of a band called The Ex Choir Boys. When it is determined that the detectives cannot solve the case on their own, expert FBI profiler Agent Peccant is assigned to the case. As the details of the case slowly emerge the police determine that the "nun" may only be a silent witness to the grisly murders. The task force then turns its attention on the Catholic Church and a suspect group of priests with a propensity for "cleansing the souls" of innocent young choir boys.

After hearing of his "parent"'s plight, the Blood-clot boy kills the son-in-law and the twin daughters. Having restored the Count and Countess to their place, he sets out to wander and see the world. Heading to the nearest town, he finds it is under the control of the goblin-like "Brownshirts", who fly their "peccant, yet strangely attractive banner" in the center of the town. The Blood-clot boy fights the Brownshirts using his (unspecified) magical powers and kills all but one of them, who he ties up and leaves as an object for public ridicule before continuing on his journey.

When a condition is worsening but has not yet reached the point of a true emergency, surgeons speak of semi-elective surgery: the peccant part must be dealt with, but a delay is not expected to affect the outcome.
