Talia Kraine of BBC Music perceived that the song "recalled days of Read My Lips." Andrew Bain of musicOMH wrote a favorable review, commenting "On first listen, most of the song is pretty forgettable, but with some persistence it manages, as all good pop songs do, to burrow neatly into the listener's brain and lodge itself there. However, unlike most other pop songs it achieves this goal with a more understated sound, achieving memorability through a chorus so gentle that you barely realise it's there.

Celes Chere has received generally positive reception following her appearance in Final Fantasy VI. She was named the 11th best Final Fantasy character by Marc Nix for IGN in 2008, owing to her opera house scene and the memorability of her aria. IGN staff also featured her as one of the best Final Fantasy characters in 2011, where she was praised for her strong sub-plot, her attempts to save Cid, and her opera scene. Richard Eisenbeis for Kotaku discussed how the aria combined with Celes' attempted suicide drove him to tears. Peter Tieryas for Kotaku discussed how Celes' despair and hope during the second portion mirrors the players and how her suicide attempt affects him years after.

In film production, a set piece is a scene or sequence of scenes whose execution requires complex logistical planning and considerable expenditure of money. The term is often also used more broadly to describe a sequence in which the filmmaker's elaborate planning is considered to allow for the maximum payoff for the audience, such as a thrilling action sequence or awe- inspiring science fiction sequence. The term is often used to describe any scenes that are so essential to a film that they cannot be edited out or skipped in the shooting schedule without seriously detracting from the enjoyability, intensity, impact, and memorability of the finished product. Often, screenplays are written around a list of such set pieces, particularly in high-budget "event movies".

Oliva's group investigates how psychological perception of an image can change based on memorability, content, and limitations of human visual systems. Her most recognizable work is the hybrid image, the classic example of which combines the high-frequency outline and detail of Albert Einstein's face with a blurry, low-frequency image of Marilyn Monroe; the latter becomes focused only when viewed from long distances. Critical response to the song was universally positive. Nick Levine of Digital Spy described the song as "A terrific fusion of European disco and American R&B;", awarding it four stars out of five and even comparing it to "Work" by Michelle's former band-mate Kelly Rowland after describing the chorus as growing "more irresistible with every listen". Nick Levine of the Billboard listed the song as being one of the "shiny electro-R&B; gems...that make Williams' journey from church to club as enjoyable as it was inevitable" while Ben Norman of About.com hailed the song as an "immensely catchy mid-tempo jam" that is "carefree" and "has a certain amount of memorability in the synth riff and the laid-back party lyrics".

Fast travel is a video game mechanic used in open world titles that allows a player character to instantaneously travel between two previously discovered locations without having to traverse that distance in real time. It is a type of warp that is specifically used to traverse the game's world rather than the inside of a level. Sometimes in-game time passes while fast traveling, while in other cases the travel is simply implied or the player is teleported by magical or technological means. While typically used as a means of providing convenience to the player, fast travel has been criticized as detracting from games' design, as some worlds or quests are designed to incorporate it at the expense of depth, memorability or realism.

Mendelson added, "I was deathly afraid [it] would come back as a climactic refrain should the story end badly." Sputnikmusic said "the songs complement the gorgeous visuals well, especially in the first extended cut "Do You Want to Build a Snowman" and its tear- pleading climax and conclusion", and argues "it’s one of the few vocal tracks far removed from the crushing vapidity of the other material". The soundtrack review adds, "While "Snowman" works better in the film (the visuals fill in some of the song's gaps) the twee-cute vocals and gorgeous melody help its memorability".

Speaking about the novel at the awards ceremony in Piccadilly, London, Miller stated that he "had no special sense of this one being the one" and mentioned that "it's a strange journey, you spend three years in a room on your own and then this: a little unsettling but deeply pleasurable"; "It's a very happy occasion". Kline's Unsilent Night has been called "a magical musical parade," “a tribute to the joy of caroling" (The Village Voice), and "an ethereal sound sculpture" (The Guardian); it's been noted for the "benign sense of wonder it instilled in observers" (San Francisco Chronicle). Furthermore, although Brian Olewnick (The Squid's Ear) said that Kline's Zippo Songs has a "lack of memorability," Alex Ross (The New Yorker, The Rest is Noise) described this collection as "one of the most brutally frank song cycles ever penned," and Anne Midgette for The New York Times described his it as "brilliant American lieder for the 21st century.
