Some mental health services address the effects of negative discourses about migrants and the way that traumatic experiences affect and fragment identity. Cohen- Mansfield investigated the feasibility and utility of group activities for persons with dementia using a theoretical model modified for a group setting. Fingerprint identification, known as dactyloscopy, or hand print identification, is the process of comparing two instances of friction ridge skin impressions (see Minutiae), from human fingers or toes, or even the palm of the hand or sole of the foot, to determine whether these impressions could have come from the same individual. The flexibility of friction ridge skin means that no two finger or palm prints are ever exactly alike in every detail; even two impressions recorded immediately after each other from the same hand may be slightly different. Fingerprint identification, also referred to as individualization, involves an expert, or an expert computer system operating under threshold scoring rules, determining whether two friction ridge impressions are likely to have originated from the same finger or palm (or toe or sole).

Salvemini's fourth album and second album under the name Caparezza, Verità supposte (note that in Italian "supposte" can mean both "supposed" and "suppositories"), was published on 13 June 2003 and led him to success in 2003–2004. In his second album, Caparezza talks about various problems distressing the Italian social reality through the ending of the old millennium as well as the beginning of the new one, also the condition of Southern Italy, with the characteristic cutting irony that made him be known. The single from this album "Fuori dal tunnel" ("Out of the Tunnel") enjoyed great success in Italy as a "summer hit"; however, the singer always opposed the song's use in clubs and on television because it was meant to denounce the de-individualization of entertainment. However, the contract with his record label barred him from preventing its use in the commercials or TV broadcasts criticized in the song.

The series of international comparative research projects on Eastern Europe coordinated by Genov included: Personal and Institutional Strategies for Coping with Transformation Risks (UNESCO/MOST, 1997-2001); Ethnic Relations in South Eastern Europe (Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe, 2003-2005); Inter-ethnic Integration (EU, 2005-2007); Migration in the Post-Soviet Space (Volkswagen Foundation, 2008-2010). The monograph "Global Trends in Eastern Europe"(2010, reprinted 2016) contains the detailed analysis and conclusions of the studies on the transformation of Eastern European societies. The monograph is a conceptual turning point since the theoretical framework used by Genov gradually changed from the focus on the concept of societal transformation to the development and use of the concept of global social trends. The new framework is organized around the idea of four such trends called upgrading the rationality of organizations, individualization, spread of instrumental activism and universalization of value-normative systems.

It is most probable that the American territory was named by the Spaniards as there are some populations in Spain such as "Arroyo del Oregón" which is situated in the province of Ciudad Real, also considering that the individualization in Spanish language "El Orejón" with the mutation of the letter "g" instead of "j". Another subsequent theory is that French Canadian fur company employees called the Columbia River "hurricane river" le fleuve d'ouragan, because of the strong winds of the Columbia Gorge. George R. Stewart argued in a 1944 article in American Speech that the name came from an engraver's error in a French map published in the early 18th century, on which the Ouisiconsink (Wisconsin River) was spelled "Ouaricon-sint", broken on two lines with the -sint below, so that there appeared to be a river flowing to the west named "Ouaricon". This theory was endorsed in Oregon Geographic Names as "the most plausible explanation".

Pakkiriswamy Chandra Sekharan (15 April 1934 – 11 July 2017) was an Indian forensic expert, writer and a former director of the Department of Forensics Sciences of the Government of Tamil Nadu. He was best known for his contributions in the investigations in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case. Born on 15 April 1934 at Nagapattinam, a coastal town in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu, Chandra Sekharan secured his graduate and post-graduate degrees from Annamalai University and did doctoral research to obtain a PhD in forensic science from the University of Madras in 1986. He is the president of the Forensics International and has published several articles on the subject of forensics, including Studies on certain forensic aspects of skull identification and individualization, and Forensic science--as is what is and a monograph, Lip forensics : forensic cheiloscopy for crime investigation and criminal identification : labial structure for personal appearance identification and personal identification.

Klaus Hurrelmann has concentrated on applying his developmental task concept to the life phases of childhood and adolescence. He identifies the central developmental tasks in infancy and early childhood as gaining a basic emotional trust, developing communication skills and attachment behavior, developing the ability to express oneself verbally, identifying with one's own gender, and building up basic sensory and motor skills. In later childhood from the age of six onward, these tasks are joined by developing female or male role behavior; learning basic skills in reading, writing, and arithmetic; and forming competencies in dealing with the media and leisure time. The comic formulas, however well executed, were based on humorous situations rather than the personal traits of the comedian. The more conventionally good-looking Chaplin and Keaton could eventually aspire to roles that were more promising, leading to their ultimate transcendence of slapstick.” And: “I have felt that Charles Chaplin and Buster Keaton rose to the heights of screen comedy by distancing themselves from their Sennett/Normand/Arbuckle roots.”Koszarski, 1976 p. 54 Film historian Richard Koszarski qualifies “fun factory” influence on comedic film acting: Sennett's first female comedian was Mabel Normand, who became a major star under his direction and with whom he embarked on a tumultuous romantic relationship. Sennett also developed the Kid Comedies, a forerunner of the Our Gang films, and in a short time, his name became synonymous with screen comedy which were called "flickers" at the time.
