Otavice is a ribbon village below the Little Mountain () chain in the eastern part of the Ribnica Valley (). The nearby forests are rich in linden and fir, which has led to their use for bee forage. The Sela meadows lie west of the settlement, the Rupče hay fields to the east, and the sparse Stevniki oak woods to the north. The soil is stony and sandy, making potatoes a principal crop, but crop damage by deer has led to many fields being planted in clover.

After Cooke’s death, Providence Chapel building in Rochdale was sold to a Congregationalist group. Like many English General Baptists, the Cookites throughout east Lancashire were persuaded by Richard Wright (1765–1836), `the Unitarian missionary', to make common cause with their liberal Christian counterparts within Unitarianism. In Rochdale, led by James Wilkinson, the Cookites, or ‘Methodist Unitarians’ as they soon became known, erected a new chapel in Clover Street in 1818. On August 8, 1951, Lacks, who was 31 years old, went to Johns Hopkins for a routine treatment session and asked to be admitted due to continued severe abdominal pain. She received blood transfusions and remained at the hospital until her death on October 4, 1951. A partial autopsy showed that the cancer had metastasized throughout her entire body. Lacks Town Road in Clover, Virginia, near where Lacks grew up and is buried Lacks was buried in an unmarked grave in the family cemetery in a place called Lackstown in Halifax County, Virginia.

As lack of finance has been a constant impediment to the development of the arts and literature, the concept of economic democracy through social credit had immediate appeal in literary circles. Names associated with social credit include C.M. Grieve, Charlie Chaplin, William Carlos Williams, Ezra Pound, T. S. Eliot, Herbert Read, Aldous Huxley, Denis Ireland, Storm Jameson, Eimar O'Duffy, Sybil Thorndyke, Bonamy Dobrée, Eric de Maré and the American publisher James Laughlin. Hilaire Belloc and GK Chesterton espoused similar ideas. In 1933 Eimar O'Duffy published Asses in Clover, a science fiction fantasy exploration of social credit themes.

In early-2002, the promotion began holding shows at the historic Dorton Arena. Like most members of her family living in Clover, Lacks worked as a tobacco farmer starting from an early age. In 1935, when Lacks was 14 years old, she gave birth to a son, Lawrence Lacks. In 1939, her daughter Elsie Lacks (1939–1955) was born.

The Clover Bend High School is a historic community building on Arkansas Highway 228 in Clover Bend, Arkansas. It is a single-story wood-frame structure, with a main central hip-roofed block, symmetrical side wings with gable roofs, and a rear projecting auditorium section. It was built in 1937–38 with funding from the Farm Security Administration, with a number of additional buildings added to the complex in later years, including a gymnasium, elementary school, and administrator housing. This complex formed the core of a major rural resettlement project, which included more than 90 farms.

By the twelfth century, Henfynyw church was dedicated to St. David, and early Christian lore had it that Henfynyw was the place where St David had spent some of his early years. No Asians, Pacific Islanders, Hispanics or Latinos live in Clover Township. There were 52 households, out of which 26.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 32.7% were married couples living together, 19.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 42.3% were non-families. 42.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 19.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.37 and the average family size was 3.27. In the township the population was spread out, with 27.6% under the age of 18, 9.8% from 18 to 24, 22.8% from 25 to 44, 23.6% from 45 to 64, and 16.3% who were 65 years of age or older.

Other hits written for the stage were soon to follow, including 1930's "On the Sunny Side of the Street" for Lew Leslie's International Revue, which also contained the favorite "Exactly Like You"; "Blue Again" for The Vanderbilt Revue; and in 1932, "Don't Blame Me", which was featured in the Chicago revue Clowns In Clover. Lackstown is the name that was given to the land in Clover, Virginia, that was originally owned by slave-owning members of the Lacks family in the antebellum South. Lacks's exact burial location is unknown, but the family believes that it is within a few feet of her mother's grave site, which for decades was the only one in the family to have been marked with a tombstone. In 2010, Roland Pattillo, a faculty member of the Morehouse School of Medicine who had worked with George Gey and knew the Lacks family,Skloot, page 231 donated a headstone for Lacks. This prompted her family to raise money for a headstone for Elsie Lacks as well, which was dedicated on the same day.

Inman made his television debut in the sitcom A Slight Case Of... in 1965, then in 1966 he appeared in two episodes of the BBC sitcom Hugh and I then in 1970 he appeared in one episode of the ITV sitcom Two in Clover. In 1972, he was asked by David Croft to play a part in a Comedy Playhouse pilot called Are You Being Served?. This was a sitcom set in a department store, written by Croft with Jeremy Lloyd, and based on the latter's experiences working at Simpsons of Piccadilly. Village of Appomattox Court House McDearmon was a Democrat and had been serving in the Virginia House of Delegates from Prince Edward County when the new county was created, and he was a resident of that portion of Prince Edward that became a part of the new Appomattox County. McDearmon was very interested in seeing the development and success of the county seat for the new jurisdiction. He lived just a few hundred yards from the center of the small village in what is known today as the Peers House. In August 1845 he had borrowed over two thousand dollars from his uncle Samuel J. Daniel (1787–1850) to invest in Clover Hill real estate, and thus began to play a critical role in the development of the village of Clover Hill (after 1845 officially Appomattox Court House), where Robert E. Lee surrendered to Ulysses S. American costume designer Aline Bernstein recalled staying at Arthur and Julia Frankau's house when her father, the New York actor Joseph Frankau (who was Frankau's first cousin) was performing in London: "It was a perfect Georgian house, everything in it had beauty and order; the design of the furniture, the chintz, the arrangement of flowers, the way food was passed at table, and the tea service. After the split, PA 28 heads northeast as Broad Street paralleling the Redbank Creek. In Hawthorn, PA 28 is called Brookville Street and meets the western terminus of Pennsylvania Route 536. North of PA 536, PA 28 begins to slide to the north instead of the northeast. In Summerville, PA 28's course begins to slide towards the northeast again and in Summerville, PA 28 is called Harrison Street. In Clover and Rose townships, PA 28 parallels many railroads tracks that even cross it. In Brookville, PA 28 has a wrong-way concurrency with U.S. Route 322 and Pennsylvania Route 36. The reason of the wrong-way concurrency is that PA 28 is heading north while PA 36 is heading south on the concurrency with US 322.
