Dendropsophus microcephalus, a small tree frog, will produce 100 notes per minute for several hours, requiring up to 25 times more oxygen. Some frogs produce less energetic calls and remain in chorus for longer periods of time with the ability to remain active longer being better for mating success than a higher energy vocal display. The morphological and biochemical processes of call production are influenced by sexual selection. as cited by Male frogs have developed vocal sacs that enable louder calls, with the larger tympanum increasing the radiation of the vocal signal.

Early in her career, Gibson had a small part in a film but had no special interest in appearing before the camera. It was the stage that interested her and she began her stage career in chorus and was soon playing leads. She toured Europe then returned to America and tried for a dramatic part but failed and returned to musical comedy. Paramount signed her when about to film Nothing But the Truth (1929), starting her success which continued in some 50 films between 1929 and 1956 although many were B movies.
While recording, he decided to sing the "doot-doots" as a kind of filler while he tried to formulate words, but he could not come up with anything that fit. This turned out to be a positive outcome, as Rodgers found the "doot-doots" to be captivating enough to keep them in the song. Despite being made for a movie soundtrack, "Romantic Traffic" is one of the Spoons signature songs in part because of that choice in chorus. The video was filmed in the Toronto Subway System at the Bloor and Sheppard stations.
Dixie Roberts was a vaudeville tap and specialty dancer, who also danced in chorus lines and performed musical comedy. A featured dancer in the Ziegfeld Follies, she was often billed as the dancer who "taps with a Southern accent", although she was born in Elmhurst, New York. She explained her moniker, saying that she was conceived in her mother's hometown of Atlanta. Roberts grew up on Long Island and also in upstate New York, where she learned to dance and became an accomplished athlete before her years of touring the U.S. as an entertainer.

These birds are mostly grey-brown with white mottling, especially on the underparts, that varies according to location and the individual. The population near Nanyuki, Kenya, is darker but can have a pure white chin or entire throat. The combination of pale yellow or white eyes and black lores (the areas between the eye and the bill) separates adults of this species from similar babblers except melanops, though all juvenile babblers have brown eyes. In Kenya, single birds give repeated single or double harsh notes such as waaach or a muffled kurr-ack; pairs or groups give longer phrases in chorus.

"Submarines" is a poem written by Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936), and set to music by the English composer Edward Elgar in 1917, as the third of a set of four war-related songs on nautical subjects for which he chose the title "The Fringes of the Fleet". Like the others in the cycle, is intended for four baritone voices. It was originally written with orchestral accompaniment, but it was later published to be sung with piano accompaniment. The composer does not make clear which sections of the song, if any, are to be sung solo or in chorus.
Michael Bennett was invited to join the group primarily as an observer, but quickly took control of the proceedings. Although Bennett's involvement has been challenged, there has been no question about Kirkwood and Dante's authorship. In later years, Bennett's claim that A Chorus Line had been his brainchild resulted in not only hard feelings but a number of lawsuits as well. Those First inChorus Line’ Gain a Continuing Stake New York Times February 2, 2008 During the workshop sessions, random characters would be chosen at the end for the chorus jobs based on their performance quality, resulting in genuine surprise among the cast.
As the hosts sweep westward across Mide, Fer Loga hides in the heather and leaps into the chariot of Conchobar as it passes, seizing the king's head from behind. Conchobar promises him any ransom he wishes; Fer Loga asks to be taken to the Emain Macha, capital of Ulster, where the women of the Ulaid and their nubile daughters are to sing to him each evening in chorus, "Fer Loga is my darling". A year later, at the end of the tale, Fer Loga rides westward across Ath Luain with two of Conchobar's horses and golden bridles for them both.
Morelenbaum sang in the choir of the Brazilian equivalent of We Are the World, the hit American song that raised funds for African relief via USA for Africa. The project Nordeste Já (1985), embraced the cause of those affected by the drought in Northeastern Brazil. 155 voices joined in the recording of a single, a collective creation with the songs Chega de mágoa and Seca d´água. While he was praised for the competency of individual interpretations, he was also criticized for failure to harmonize the voices and the framework of each of them in chorus.
Linzy attended South Lake High School in Groveland, Florida, where he ran track and was involved in many student organizations including the Student Government, where he served as President his senior year, Future Homemakers of America, where he served as a state officer, and Future Business Leaders of America. Linzy's performance and creative skills were nurtured in chorus, theatre, and the church choir. His relatives taught him how to play the piano by ear. In his senior year, Linzy was named a Walt Disney Dreamer and Doer, a special recognition for Central Florida students where he represented his county.
Effective development has often been handicapped by transportation difficulties and the propensity of unscrupulous businessmen to over-hype their claims. E.M. Morgan said in 1900, "There's too many cheap-john jacklegs in the camp looking for something for nothing, and they find it. The result is they go down into the penny ante belt, float a jim-crow company, sell shares, find they have a wildcat, go broke and the shareholders in chorus condemn the country in general, instead of stringing up the 'floater'". In 2007 a new mining boom began with the production of molybdenite concentrates at Roca's MAX mine.
It is one of the largest groups in the area and draws its members from several communities. Several international qualifying quartets have emerged from the Heralds of Harmony, including BHS gold medal champions KEEPSAKE (1992) Keepsake (quartet) and PLATINUM (2000) Platinum (quartet). Within the past several years, the chorus has been led by 3 different directors who are gold medal winners in chorus or quartet competition: Tony DeRosa, Randy Loos, and Roger Ross. The Heralds have also performed with the Florida Orchestra on multiple occasions and have been directed by guest conductors Skitch Henderson and Doc Severinsen.

Sheelah formerly known as Caracola is a Swedish girl group originally launched in 2006 with members Frida Karlsson, Emma Lewin and Emilie Rosén and later Sara Li in 2009 as a replacement for Frida when she left Caracola. As of 2014, Caracola was relaunched with members Vendela Hollström, Ebba Knutsson and Sannah Johansson. They sing in harmonies as well as in chorus, and the style of their music varies between schlager pop and Ibiza-style trance, but a dance element is usually present. The name was changed from Caracola to Sheelah in 2009, after a disagreement with their earlier record label, who had the rights to the name Caracola.
It prefers indigenous forests, where undergrowth is sparse and trees are more than 4m tall, but may also be found in stands of Quercus robur, Populus deltoides, pine and eucalyptus. It is also unusually found in dense riverine bushes in KwaZulu-Natal and Eastern Cape. Males usually call from a position a few meters above the ground on a shady limb of a tree, with a good view of the immediate surroundings and potential predators. Males often sing in chorus to attract mates, particularly at dusk and dawn, enabled to do this by an endothermic metabolism which rises to more than 22 °C above ambient temperature.
The song is superficially similar to other murder ballads in the idiom such as "Omie Wise" and more especially "Pretty Polly", which is also generally narrated in the first person by a killer called Willie. However, it differs significantly in the narrative; the killer explains why he killed his love, and spends much of the song expressing his sorrow and regret. Musically, it is distinguished by a long refrain which calmly reflects the love and the hopes for the future which he felt before the murder. This gives a different psychological tone to the song, and accompanying singers (or indeed the audience) the possibility of singing along in chorus.
In terms of health, life expectancy went up by eleven years between 1980 and 2000 for both Iranian men and women. With respect to family planning, "levels of childbearing have declined faster than in any other country," going from 5.6 births per woman in 1985 to 2.0 in 2000, a drop accomplished by a voluntary, but government- sponsored, birth control program. The fact that these changes have occurred within an Islamic legal regime suggests that formal legal status may not be a key factor determining women's well-being. Women in Iran are only allowed to sing in chorus, and are not allowed to attend sport stadiums.
The song's main body is introduced in Robert’s solo. The lyrics he sings describe everyday and comforting things associated with friends or “company:” Robert’s solo segues into the couples reiterating their endearments at length, making appointments with “Robert, Bobby, Robbie darling” for concerts, blind double dates, the opera, exclaiming in chorus the questions and, simultaneously, voicing the many loving concerns typical among friends. And all of this escalates into a drawn-out, breathless “We Looovvveee You,” climaxing as the main character and his “company” echo their mutual sentiments. The couples and their unmarried friend all agree that the labors and gestures affiliated with company are glorious.
Even though it included old songs as "Happy And Real" (from Tango IV, 1991) or "Uno A Uno" ("One to one", from El Aguante, 1998) and different versions of the same songs, this was probably García's best album since 1994. Live concerts of Influencia were probably Charly's best in a long, long time. With the strong support of María Gabriela Epumer in chorus and guitar, Charly showed up in many different concerts, such as two in the Luna Park Stadium, Viña del Mar and Cosquín Rock with correct performances. Finally in October 2003, Charly released Rock and Roll, Yo ("Rock and Roll, Me"), dedicated to María Gabriela.
The song was credited with inspiring Ohio Wesleyan to upset the Wolverines, 17 to 7. According to another account, Ohio Wesleyan coach George Gauthier, a Michigan State alumnus, led his team in singing the song in the locker room before the 1928 game began. More recently, the song became associated with the Michigan–Ohio State football rivalry. Some sources incorrectly assert that the lyrics were written in the 1920s when an inebriated supporter of the Ohio State football team began spontaneously vocalizing it in a hotel in Columbus, Ohio, as an organic expression of hostility towards Michigan, and was joined in chorus by several other intoxicated individuals.
The overall focus of the hymn is drawn from Matthew 28:5–6 where Mary Magdalene and the other Mary is told by an angel of Jesus' resurrection. The wording as well as the "Alleluias" are drawn from the Book of Psalms with a number of Psalms being used including Psalms 106, 111, 112, 113, 117 and 135. It also alludes to Revelation 19 where it is said that during the Rapture that "Alleluia" will sing out from Heaven. In 1989, the United Methodist Church's United Methodist Hymnal altered the second line of the first verse from "Sons of men and angels say" to "Earth and Heaven in chorus say".

The song titles as ‘Chehre Nahi Samaaj Ko Badlo’ (Change the society, Not just faces). Latina groupies are also considered the most exotic and beautiful. Even though this beauty standard helps them obtain this position, it disables them from being taken seriously as women who want to pursue a career in hip hop or the music industry, as will be spoken more about in "Chorus Girl". Groupies are seen for their looks and not the talents they have to bring to the table. Also, since Latina women are over-represented as groupies it leads to the negative idea that majority of Latina women are gold diggers and do not have any intellect, talent, and ideals to offer except for their bodies.
The noisy miner has a mating display flight song: a soft warble of low-frequency notes given during short, undulating flights by the male, and responded to by the female with a low- frequency whistle. The noisy miner is found in open woodland habitats, where it is an advantage to call from the air, so as to overcome sound attenuation. Another display call, described as 'yammer', is a rapid rhythmical series of notes that is uttered during open-bill, wing-waving displays. The noisy miner has a song described as the 'dawn song'—a communal song of clear, whistled notes emitted in chorus in the early hours of the morning from May through January.

Shajahan got hit with a brick during Aurat Azadi March 2020 Islamabad by the religious extremists.

USL Europe's offices were in Ealing, London (in the building on the right side after the road bends, as seen here in 2009) In 1991, USL forged an arrangement with the French company Chorus Systèmes SA to engage in cooperative work on the Chorus microkernel technology, with the idea of supporting SVR4 on a microkernel and thereby making it more scalable and better suited for parallel and distributed applications. As part of this, USL took a $1 million stake in Chorus Systèmes. Much of the USL Chorus work was done at the USL Europe facility in London. By 1993 the work was still ongoing, with questions of industry standardization of interfaces arising.
Since the 1980s, U.S. officials visiting China have on multiple occasions visited Chinese churches, including President George W. Bush, who attended one of Beijing's five officially recognized Protestant churches during a November 2005 Asia tour, and the Kuanjie Protestant Church in 2008. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice attended Palm Sunday services in Beijing in 2005. Government authorities limit proselytism, particularly by foreigners and unregistered religious groups, but permit proselytism in state-approved religious venues and private settings.See U.S. State Department "International Religious Freedom Report 2008" During the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, three American Christian protesters were deported from China after a demonstration at Tiananmen Square, and eight Dutch Christians were stopped after attempting to sing in chorus.
Gray's stream frog is locally common where conditions are favourable, such as among grassy or scrubby vegetation around streams and dams, or where there is seasonal water such as roadside ponds or vleis. In the breeding season, its voice is an inoffensive musical click, rather like a drop of water falling into a pond, but when a large chorus is active, such as in sedge around a dam, the effect is like a loud, continuous rattle. Though the males mainly sing in chorus at night, they may call at any time of the day from concealment, particularly in cloudy weather. Like most frogs, the species breeds in standing water and the adults take to the water if alarmed.
They reflect the entirety of the bride's life: her touching farewells to loved ones as she departs for the wedding ceremony or her husband's home, premonitions about the future, age-old questions about relationships between the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, and the innermost thoughts and emotions of the would-be bride. The rich repertoire of prenuptial lyric love songs is also often ascribed to the category of wedding songs, since the lyrics often have to do with upcoming weddings. During the actual wedding, the lyric songs were sung by the women and girls in chorus, often in the name of the bride. The bride herself usually did not sing.
On her fifth release, Every Second In Between (Wall-I Records), Añel wanted to continue depicting her love of songwriting, singing and interpretation, but at a whole new level. Enter Producer, four- time Grammy winner, Glenn Barratt. Every Second In Between, released 9/30/09, is a collaboration of heart, soul, words, music, spirit and technique. The songs' landscapes accurately capture Añel, bringing her voice to the forefront, from the classically tinged Voyager, with its string quartet and Añel's voice, alone and in chorus, to her cover of Nina Simone's That's All I Want From You, and the Latin flavored Supposed To Be, the album's first single, a song of empowerment with the storyteller's refusal to give up sense of self.
Mixed groups with Dusky dolphins (Lagenorhynchus obscurus) appear common in the southern Atlantic and have occasionally been reported in New-Zealand, off Southwest Africa and along the coast of southern Chile. They have been observed to intermix freely with pilot whales (Globicephala spp.) and in Chile, associations with common dolphins (Delphinus delphis) have been reported. Along their range they have also occasionally been sighted with hourglass dolphins (Lagenorhynchus Cruciger), common bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) and fin whales (Balaenoptera physalus). Four basic herd configuration types have been reported and conform to the types described for the northern right whale dolphin: (1) Densely packed schools, without identifiable subgroups; (2) herds of scattered subgroups of various sizes; (3) V-shaped herds; and (4) herds in ‘’chorus line’’ formation.
The recording was produced by Mike Leander who formed a sweeping orchestral arrangement for the song. Leander had previously provided arrangements for such records as "She's Leaving Home" by The Beatles and Marianne Faithfull's "As Tears Go By." Some of McWilliams' vocals were recorded using a telephone line from a phone box near the studio, generating a low-tech effect, and giving the song a 'strange "phoned-in" chorus'. The record was originally released in October 1967 as the B-side of "Harlem Lady","Harlem Lady"/"Days of Pearly Spencer" at 45cat.com. Retrieved 22 June 2014 but "Days of Pearly Spencer" received considerable exposure on Radio Caroline, of which Solomon was an executive, and in adverts in the UK music press.

' After the asking of this questions, the main portion of the Seder, Magid, discusses the answers in the form of a historical review. Also, at different points in the Seder, the leader of the Seder will cover the matzot and lift their cup of wine; then put down the cup of wine and uncover the matzot – all to elicit questions from the children. In Sephardic tradition, the questions are asked by the assembled company in chorus rather than by a child, and are put to the leader of the seder, who either answers the question or may direct the attention of the assembled company to someone who is acting out that particular part of the Exodus. Physical re-enactment of the Exodus during the Passover seder is common in many families and communities, especially amongst Sephardim.
Dan Godfrey wrote that "it is doubtful whether England has ever produced a better or more gifted choir trainer than Coward... He has evolved, formulated and put into practice a method of choral technique which has had the result of bringing about a revival of singing in chorus which has spread through the whole Empire."Jeffrey Richards, Imperialism and Music: Britain 1876-1953, Manchester University Press, 2002, After World War I, Henry Coward faced criticism for being unable to conduct an orchestra, but was knighted in 1926 and, from 1929 to 1944, served as President of the Tonic Sol-fa College in London. Coward disliked jazz, which he described as "atavistic, lowering, degrading and a racial question ... composed of ... unquestionably grotesque forms."Neil Powell, The Language of Jazz, : Carcanet Press Ltd, 27 November 1997, Sir Henry Coward died in 1944, aged 94.

Lays, in the role of Aristippe in the opera Aristippe by Rodolphe Kreutzer Over the course of 15 years Lays had built a remarkable reputation as a singer. He had been a star at the court of the Ancien Régime, before performing at the opening of the Estates General at Versailles in 1789. Later he had sung several works by Gossec at some of the grandest ceremonies of the French Revolution: he had performed in the Te Deum at the Fête de la Fédération on 14 July 1790; he had sung the funeral hymns when Mirabeau's and Voltaire's mortal remains were transferred to the newly established Panthéon in 1791;According to Quéruel, the hymn performed on the occasion of the transfer of Voltaire's mortal remains, where " Laÿs's superb voice" rose over Chéron's and Rousseau's responding in chorus, had been set to music by Étienne Méhul. However, other sources do not support this information.

The 89-mile branch line from Luxton to Ceylon was officially completed and opened for traffic on July 11, 1911. Southern Saskatchewan Detail from Canadian Northern Railway Schedule System Map, June 14, 1913 The Luxton to Ceylon branch line through Goodwater was reportedly a "busy line" with numerous trains daily, including passenger trains in both directions running six days a week (except Sunday) from 1914 to 1921. In one published community history anecdote, CNoR train engineer Dalrymple made the Carlyle-to-Radville segment in "a record time of a little over two hours...[making all the stops]," during which his "trainmen on the back of the caboose nervously held on to the "air" and in chorus, uttered a prayer on the Goodwater hill." According to a 1913 CNoR train schedule, westbound train #27 left Brandon, Manitoba at 9:40 am and passed through Goodwater at 6:02 pm; eastbound train #28 left Radville, Saskatchewan at 8:00 am and passed through Goodwater at 9:08 am. According to a 1917 CNoR train schedule, westbound train #51 left Brandon, Manitoba on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and passed through Goodwater at 3:18 pm; eastbound train #52 left Moose Jaw on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 9:00 am, passing through Goodwater at 2:56 pm.
