Boneshaker (or bone-shaker) is a name used from about 1869 up to the present time to refer to the first type of true bicycle with pedals, which was called velocipede by its manufacturers. "Boneshaker" refers to the extremely uncomfortable ride, which was caused by the stiff wrought-iron frame and wooden wheels surrounded by tires made of iron.

Energizer (later renamed Boneshaker) was a swinging gondola flat ride. It was replaced by Submission in 2001, a "Chance Double Inverter" flat ride, which was itself removed in 2014.

Laird was approximately 20 years old when he built the aircraft. Laird referred to the aircraft as “My Anzani-powered machine” as well as “Boneshaker” because the powerful engine generated such strong vibrations in the airplane.

The construction of the boneshaker was similar to the dandy horse: wooden wheels with iron tires and a framework of wrought iron. As the name implies it was extremely uncomfortable, but the discomfort was somewhat ameliorated by a long flat spring that supported the saddle and absorbed many of the shocks from rough road surfaces. The boneshaker also had a brakea metal lever that pressed a wooden pad against the rear wheel. The front wheel axle ran in lubricated bronze bearings, and some had small lubrication tanks that would wick oil from soaked lamb's wool into the bearings to help them run smoothly.

The show also featured the return of the Bomber lighting rig. The event was filmed and released the following year as the 25 & Alive Boneshaker DVD, and the CD of the show, Live at Brixton Academy, was released two years after that.

Alltheniko are an Italian heavy metal band, formed in Vercelli, Italy, in 2002 by Dave Nightfight (vocals and bass), Joe Boneshaker (guitar) and Luke the Idol (drums). The band's name comes from a pun involving the comune of Oldenico. The line-up never changed since the beginning.

In 2014 three more updated DOD pedals were released, the "BIFET Boost 410", and the "Envelope Filter 440", and the "Electro-Optical Compressor 280". The 410 features a new buffer on/off toggle and the 440 features an up/down voicing toggle, and the 280 circuit is untouched except for the addition of true bypass, LED, and modern PSU jack. All feature true bypass, blue LEDs, modern power jack, lighter aluminum chassis, two tone flat-black and metal-flake paint jobs. In early 2015 a new DOD pedal called the "Boneshaker"Boneshaker, Own website distortion unit was released; this is a collaboration with boutique pedal builder Mark Wentz of Black Arts Toneworks.

Both Britt's mother, Anne Britt, and her mother-in-law, Lee Beverley, were subsequently diagnosed and treated for breast cancer. By September 2019 Britt and Beverley had two children. In January 2016 she won her fourth Golden Guitar at the Country Music Awards of Australia, for Female Artist of the Year ("Boneshaker").

She also appears in the Cherie Priest novel Boneshaker. In photos, Kikisoblu most often appears wearing a red bandana, shawl, and many layers of clothing.

Italian History VI is the sixth album by the Italian heavy metal band Alltheniko, released in 2017 via Pure Steel Records. The band itself was responsible for the production. Guitarist Joe Boneshaker designed the cover and layout of the CD booklet. The album contains two tracks in Italian: Emblema, which was also released as a single via SoundCloud, and the title song.

It was released on 25 October 2019 via Spinefarm and was produced by American record producer, songwriter and music executive Dave Cobb. It is the first Airbourne album to feature Matt "Harri" Harrison on rhythm guitar, taking the place of the band's rhythm guitarist and longtime original member David Roads, who left in 2017.

James Moore believed all his life that he had won the first cycle race in the world.Moore, John (13 June 1997), letter to The Boneshaker, UK Keizo Kobayashi's research and thesis, however, attempts to show that Moore's was not the first race. Nick Clayton, editor of The Boneshaker, magazine of veteran-cycle enthusiasts in Britain, wrote: :Kobayashi has discovered at least five vélocipède races in France which predate St Cloud, so the blue plaque on the railings proclaiming Moore as winner of the first vélocipède race organised in France is incorrect on more than one count. True these races did not get the publicity that the Michaux organisation was able to attract for St-Cloud but it is curious why it should be James Moore's name on the plaque rather than Edward-Charles Bon, winner of the earlier 2.30 race or even Poloni [sic], winner of the Grande Course that day.

In 1999, Festival Park was re-themed into UG Land. AstroDancer was also refurbished to fit in with the pre-historic theme and was renamed to DinoDancer. During this period, the ride's popularity was high due to being situated in a newly themed area. After two seasons, the ride was removed in 2000 to make way for the newly refurbished Mondial Supernova, Boneshaker, and did not return for the 2001 season.

25 & Alive Boneshaker is a live DVD featuring Motörhead's 25th anniversary concert at Brixton Academy, on 22 October 2000. The concert has also been released as a CD entitled Live At Brixton Academy. The DVD also includes an acoustic session recorded at IHT Studios, Clapham, some Motörhead archive film, interviews with the band and their guests, and songs filmed at the Wacken Open Air on 4 August 2001.

On 20 March 2019, Airbourne announced "Album 5" through Facebook. A second update on 25 March 2019 confirmed that the band are recording at RCA Studio A in Nashville, Tennessee; leading to speculation that the new album sessions are being helmed by 6-time Grammy Award-winning Producer, Dave Cobb. On 23 August 2019, it was announced that the title of the new album would be Boneshaker. Produced, as anticipated, by Cobb it was released on 25 October 2019.

Moore owned a Michaux vélocipède around 1865. A cover version by the English heavy metal band Motörhead was released as a single in 2000 to promote their album, We Are Motörhead. The cover art gives further reference to the Sex Pistols by using the same cut-out words to form the title as the Sex Pistols' single cover. A performance of the song recorded during the band's twenty-fifth anniversary concert at Brixton Academy, on 22 October 2000, appears on their 25 & Alive Boneshaker DVD.

The bicycle made its appearance at this time. The "boneshaker", with pedals connected directly to the front wheel, appeared in the Maritimes in 1866 followed by the penny-farthing bicycle after 1876. The machine evolved and was improved with the addition of pneumatic tires, a central crank for the pedals and a coasting back wheel with brake. The increasing popularity of bicycles led to the formation of a national bicycle club, the Canadian Wheelsman in London, Ontario in 1879.

Boneshaker was a Mondial Supernova located at Alton Towers in Staffordshire, England. It was removed on 9 November 2003 due to mechanical failure in the ride's gearbox, and inability to source required parts. The park also needed space to build their new roller coaster for 2005, Rita: Queen of Speed. It first opened at the park in 1995 under the name "Energizer", but ran on less intense cycles in its later years to better suit Ug Land's intended family audience.

It was designed and built by the German inventors Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach in Bad Cannstatt, Germany in 1885. At the Country Music Awards of Australia Britt has won four Golden Guitar trophies, Female Artist of the Year for "What I Did Last Night" (2009), "Charlestown Road" (2013) and "Boneshaker" (2016), and Single of the Year for "Sweet Emmylou" (2011). The first boneshaker race was in 1868, in Paris' Parc de Saint Cloud; the winner was James Moore, a friend of the Michaux family. Moore also won the 123 km Paris–Rouen race in 1869, finishing in 10 hours and 40 minutes. However, tensions between France and Prussia building since the Austro-Prussian War of 1866 erupted into the Franco-Prussian War in 1870, and production of bicycles at Michaux was suspended to support the war effort. As a result, the next innovations occurred in Great Britain.

A traditional Dutch roadster Bicycles have been promoted for their utilitarian strengths since before they were technically known as bicycles. The draisine and the boneshaker were hoped to become an inexpensive utilitarian alternative to horses by their makers. However the inherent danger, cost, discomfort, and restrictive gender roles of the day, kept it popular mainly with wealthy adventurous young men, and mainly for recreation and sport. The development of penny-farthing moved away from the utilitarian goal of earlier forms, with its less stable ride, and difficulty carrying much baggage.

Early races involving boneshaker style bicycles were predictably fraught with injuries. Large races became popular during the 1890s "Golden Age of Cycling", with events across Europe, and in the U.S. and Japan as well. At one point, almost every major city in the US had a velodrome or two for track racing events, however since the middle of the 20th century cycling has become a minority sport in the US whilst in Continental Europe it continues to be a major sport, particularly in the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Italy and Spain. The most famous of all bicycle races is the Tour de France.

The bicycle originally reached New Zealand in the 1860s in the form of the velocipede, also known as the 'boneshaker'. These bikes, as elsewhere, soon evolved into the elegant 'high wheelers', known today as penny-farthings. Popular among wealthy young men, these offered adventure and speed ("Colonials like to get along fast", one newspaper wrote), but were also dangerous due to the lack of modern features like efficient brakes. Additionally the fact that they were useless on the rough and hilly roads of most of the country, ensured that they were seldom used for anything other than sport and recreation.

He set off last and was put immediately on the back foot off the fast pace by getting in close to the first, possibly frightening himself, as he was careful over the second. He telegraphed his second-last boneshaker first time and was again ragged over the same set of fences down the back straight. He still moved up strongly around the home bend and there was everything to play for before it simply looked like he ran out of stamina, which is what connections reported. He was 12 lengths down halfway up the run- in before being eased to accentuate his beating.

The second leg of the "We Are Motörhead" tour began in May in Ireland, moving across to the United Kingdom. In Manchester, the band were supported by Goldblade, and by Pure Rubbish at the two London shows. The second London show also included Backyard Babies and Paul Inder, who was guest musician for "Killed By Death". Between June and August, Motörhead played at a number of rock festivals in Europe; including as the Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium, the Quart Festival in Norway, and the Wacken Open Air on 4 August, where four songs were recorded for the 25 & Alive Boneshaker DVD.

That French design was sometimes called the boneshaker, since it was also made entirely of wood, then later with metal tires. That in combination with the cobblestone roads of the day made for an extremely uncomfortable ride. These velocipedes also became a fad, and indoor riding academies, similar to roller rinks, could be found in large cities. In 1891 L'Industrie Vélocipédique (Cycling Industry) magazine described 'La Société Parisienne de constructions Velo' as 'the oldest velocipede manufacturer in France', having been founded in 1876 by M. Reynard, and awarded the 'Diploma of honour' at the Exposition Universelle (1878) (World's Fair).

Thames in the late 19th century The bicycle reached New Zealand in the 1860s in the form of the velocipede, also known as the 'boneshaker'. As bicycle design improved, and production became mass-market, cycling became a popular mode of transport in many parts of New Zealand for half a century. In the 1950s and 60s government transport funding and policies favouring motor vehicles as the transport of the future, along with the increasing affordability of automobiles, spurred a rise in motor vehicles. New Zealand soon had, and still has, one of the highest rates of car dependence in the world.

At the May session, they recorded "Attack!!!", "Dead and Buried", "Ignore the Machine" and "Hee Haw"; at the August session, "In God We Trust", "E.S.T. (Trip to the Moon)" and "Boneshaker Baby". In October 1985, their third studio album Maximum Security reached No. 100 on the UK Albums Chart and remained there for the week of 12 October. They also had two top 100 singles with "Dead and Buried" in August 1984 (No. 91) and a reissued "Ignore the Machine" in March 1985 (No. 99). Throughout the early 1980s, their work was frequently in the UK Indie Chart and remained a fixture on American college radio.

After what was thought to be the end of Energizer, it returned to its original area under the name of Boneshaker at the back of the newly re-themed Festival Park, UG Land. Due to UG Land being a family area, the ride's settings were changed and it never operated the way it used to ever again. Following these setting changes, the ride experienced many faults and became extremely costly for the park to maintain. The park decided to close the attraction at the end of the 2003 season, and at the end of 2004 it was removed to make way for the new 2005 roller coaster.

The Michaux velocipede had a straight downtube and a spoon brake. Pierre Michaux's son Ernest is credited by L. J. K. Setright and David Burgess-Wise as having first fitted the Perreaux patented engine to the velocipede, while Charles M. Falco says it was Louis-Guillaume Perreaux. The Michaux-Perreaux machine was constructed using the first commercially successful pedal bicycle, a boneshaker which Michaux had been building over 400 of annually since 1863, and the single cylinder alcohol fueled Perreaux engine, which used twin flexible leather belt drives to the rear wheel. A steam pressure gauge was mounted in the rider's view above the front wheel, and steam to the cylinder was engaged and regulated with a hand control.

During Ugly Kid Joe's inactivity, Crane went on a year-long tour with New York hard rock band Life of Agony before forming Medication with ex-Machine Head guitarist, Logan Mader. Due to a series of internal issues, Medication disbanded in February 2003. Over the years, Crane has performed guest vocals on several songs, including "Reaching Out" with Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray (from the Lynn Strait tribute album Strait Up), "Born to Raise Hell" by Motörhead (also featuring rapper Ice-T) and "Voodoo Brother" by Glenn Tipton of Judas Priest. Crane's filmography includes Ellie Parker, in which he has a cameo appearance as an acting student, and Motörhead's 25 & Alive Boneshaker, where he appears as himself.

Born in Ghana, to parents who are both educators, Bodomo is Dagaaba. She was also raised in Norway and Hong Kong, before moving to New York to study film at Columbia University, graduating with a BA in 2010, and NYU's Tisch Film School (MFA). Her first film, Boneshaker (2013), starring Oscar nominee Quvenzhané Wallis, premiered at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival before playing at SXSW, Pan African Film Festival, and Lincoln Center's African Film Festival. Her film Afronauts (2014) had its US premiere at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, its international premiere at the 2014 Berlin International Film Festival, and was included in the exhibition "Dreamlands: Immersive Cinema and Art, 1905–2016" at the Whitney Museum of American Art.
