Drake then ordered up Peetz's 2nd Missouri Battery at the double- quick.
The 77th's commanding officer ordered his regiment forward at the double quick into the melee and soon that regiment was also overwhelmed by the three rebel cavalry divisions and compelled to surrender. The best casualty figures indicate that the 36th Iowa lost 42 killed outright and 89 wounded, of whom about 40 later died of their wounds. The remainder became prisoners and were force-marched to the notorious rebel prison stockade at Tyler, Texas. Some of the men who escaped evaded re- capture by moving across country, carefully avoiding rebel patrols.
Negative selection can occur at the double positive stage in the cortex. However the repertoire of peptides in the cortex is limited to those expressed by epithelial cells, and double positive cells are poor at undergoing negative selection. Therefore, the most important site for negative selection is the medulla, once cells are at the single positive stage. In order to remove thymocytes reactive to peripheral organs, the transcription factors Aire and Fezf2 drive the expression of multiple peripheral antigens, such as insulin, resulting in deletion of cells specific for those antigens.
Evans met Abrams again in an eliminator for a place at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. Evans avenged his previous defeat by winning on points at the Double Diamond Club in Caerphilly but the victory proved unpopular with some authorities who had lined up Abrams as the captain of the British Boxing team at the event. A rematch was ordered only for Evans to win again, this time after Abrams suffered a cut over his eye. In the first round at the Olympics, Evans was drawn against 18-yeat old Mexican Salvador Garcia.
A useful way to visualise and manipulate knots is to project the knot onto a plane—think of the knot casting a shadow on the wall. A small change in the direction of projection will ensure that it is one-to-one except at the double points, called crossings, where the "shadow" of the knot crosses itself once transversely . At each crossing, to be able to recreate the original knot, the over-strand must be distinguished from the under-strand. This is often done by creating a break in the strand going underneath.

Electric Forest is a four-day, one-weekend, multi-genre event with a focus on electronic and jam band genres, held in Rothbury, Michigan, at the Double JJ Resort. In 2017 and 2018, the festival expanded to two weekends back to back, before switching back to one weekend for 2019. The original event debuted in 2008 under the name Rothbury Festival, and focused on jam bands and rock bands. The event was not held in 2010 nor 2020; the COVID-19 pandemic was to blame for the latter.

The following day, Marshal Lannes crushed a Prussian division at Saalfeld, where the popular Prince Louis Ferdinand was killed. At the double Battle of Jena- Auerstedt on 14 October, Napoleon smashed a Prussian army led by Frederick Louis, Prince of Hohenlohe-Ingelfingen and Ernst von Rüchel at Jena, while his Marshal Louis-Nicolas Davout routed Charles William Ferdinand, Duke of Brunswick's main army at Auerstedt. At Jena, Napoleon fought only a contingent of the Prussian army. At Auerstedt a single French corps defeated the bulk of the Prussian army, despite being heavily outnumbered.

Adams took command of the brigade, which retreated under the pounding, covered by Robertson's Alabama Battery. In the absence of Jaquess, Farrar became acting regimental commander. Chalmers' brigade came up on the right, outflanking Miller, and Adams, holding the colors of the 1st Louisiana, ordered an advance at the double-quick against the 18th Missouri and 61st Illinois on Miller's right, supported by the fire of Robertson's battery. The outnumbered Union troops broke under the pressure of Chalmers' and Gladden's brigades, abandoning their tents, where men of the 1st Louisiana captured seven stands of colors.

Edwina "Eddie" Ferguson, an attractive but clumsy nurse, who often accidentally injures potential suitors, cannot find romance at the 4077th—or anywhere else, for that matter, as she confides to Margie Cutler. The other nurses at the Double Natural discuss her problem and agree to put their romantic relationships with the doctors and corpsmen on hold until someone agrees to date Eddie. Eventually, to end the romantic drought the doctors draw straws to be her date for an evening, and Hawkeye draws the short straw. Hilarity ensues as his best smooth operator technique collides head on with Eddie's innate klutziness.
Kline was selected by the Cleveland Indians in the 8th round of the 1993 draft as a starting pitcher. In 1994, he led the South Atlantic League with 18 wins (a team record), 174 strikeouts, and 185.2 innings pitched while playing for Single-A Columbus (Georgia), earning him the Bob Feller Award as Cleveland's best minor league pitcher. Kline made his major league debut with the Indians in their 1997 season opener.
Shelly Johnson, played by Mädchen Amick, is a waitress at the Double R Diner (which is owned by Norma Jennings, a good friend of hers). Shelly dropped out of high school to marry trucker Leo Johnson, who had swept her off her feet by lavishing her with attention. As soon as they got married, it became clear that Leo just "wanted a maid he didn't have to pay for," in the words of Shelly. Leo is a sadistic, monstrous home dictator, wife-beater, rapist and dangerous criminal, and he is tangibly connected to Laura Palmer's murder.
Norelli suggests that the explicit association with Audrey Horne was an afterthought. The song first appears in the pilot, where it is used alongside scenes with Dale Cooper and Bobby Briggs. It appears in "Episode 1" when Audrey dances to the song in the office of her father, Benjamin Horne, at the Great Northern Hotel; Benjamin Horne takes the needle off the record, stopping the song, and tells his daughter to stop playing loud music in his office. Audrey dances to the song again in "Episode 2", where she chooses the song from a jukebox at the Double R Diner.

The sequence has three distinct phases: Phase one includes cutting the graves in the subsoil with funerary rites, such as covering the graves with mounds; phase two is when the standing stones were raised around the mounds; phase three consisted of erecting frontal stones. Phase three may also have been when these monuments became sites of ritual activities and ceramics started getting deposited around them. The creators of this model recognize that other sequences are possible, and the order for the sequence of events at the double circle may have been different as well.Laport et al.

The howitzer was so well camouflaged, that the German raiders had not noticed it. British artillery-fire was believed to have destroyed some German gas cylinders, when German troops were seen to climb out of their front trenches and run to the rear, amid British small-arms fire. Eighty dead German soldiers were counted later, in and around the British front trenches. By the German raid was over and during the night, two British battalions were relieved; the rest of 28 April was quiet, except for a raid by the 1st Division, at the Double Crassier near Loos.
In early February 1807, the Russian army, under the command of Levin August von Bennigsen, was in full retreat while being pursued by Napoléon Bonaparte's Grande Armée. The field armies of Russia's ally, the Kingdom of Prussia, had been decisively defeated by the Grande Armée at the double Battle of Jena–Auerstedt on 14 October 1806. This left the Russian army as the only major land force opposing Napoléon in the War of the Fourth Coalition. After some failed attempts to disrupt the French advance, Bennigsen decided to regroup his retreating forces at the Prussian village of Eylau (now Bagrationovsk, Kaliningrad Oblast).

The militiamen followed at the double-quick and hurrahing enthusiastically for General Washington brought him to the porch and evoked from him in reply a good natured and fatherly speech which the soldiers cheered to the echo. There is no documented evidence, however, that this event occurred. After 1770, Washington visited southwestern Pennsylvania one last time, in September 1784. Washington kept an account of the journey that provides details of where he stopped each day, who he met with and what they talked about, in addition to specifically where he went, what he saw, and did.
Over time, different regions evolved different versions, each with its own assemblage of omissions, additions, and variants (mostly in orthography). The earliest surviving complete manuscript of the entire Bible in Latin is the Codex Amiatinus, a Latin Vulgate edition produced in 8th- century England at the double monastery of Wearmouth-Jarrow. During the Middle Ages, translation, particularly of the Old Testament was discouraged. Nevertheless, there are some fragmentary Old English Bible translations, notably a lost translation of the Gospel of John into Old English by the Venerable Bede, which is said to have been prepared shortly before his death around the year 735.
With rumours persisting over a potential switch to the PDC, Webster had remained defiant that he would return to Lakeside in 2010. However, it was announced on 5 February 2009 that Webster had joined the PDC, making his debut at the double-header Players Championship events in Gladbeck at the end of February. However, Scripture earned a reputation throughout professional baseball for his intensity, dedication to teaching, and his toughness.
A bombproof at Fort Stedman When Fort Stedman was captured by a Confederate attack before dawn on 25 March, the regiment was in camp. The regiment marched initially at the double quick towards the division headquarters at the Avery House in response to Hartranft's order, then at a quick step advanced into a ravine to a point almost across from the fort, sheltering beneath a bank. Despite heavy fire, the regiment suffered few casualties there due to the cover. When the 211th Pennsylvania with Hartranft leading began the advance, the regiment followed, but shortly afterwards Mathews ordered a halt.

The plans for the Archer Avenue Lines emerged in the 1960s under the city and MTA's Program for Action. It was conceived as an expansion of IND Queens Boulevard Line service to a "Southeast Queens" line along the right-of-way of the Long Island Rail Road Atlantic Branch towards Locust Manor, and as a replacement for the dilapidated eastern portions of the elevated BMT Jamaica Line within the Jamaica business district which business owners and residents sought removal of. Both lines would meet at the double-decked line under Archer Avenue. The two-track spur from the Queens Boulevard Line would use the original Van Wyck Boulevard bellmouths.nycsubway.
The stadium was home to several minor-league affiliates of Major League Baseball organizations, beginning with the Nashua Dodgers, affiliated with the Brooklyn Dodgers and managed by Walter Alston. Holman hosted the first integrated U.S. baseball team in the modern era when Roy Campanella and Don Newcombe played for the Nashua Dodgers in 1946. After the Dodgers' four-year run, baseball did not return to Holman Stadium until 1983, at the double-A level: an affiliate of the California Angels for one year, then the Pittsburgh Pirates. While home to the Nashua Pirates in 1985, Holman Stadium hosted the Eastern League All- Star Game.
But he lost the next four full seasons (1943–46) to military service and, despite batting .360 and leading the 1948 Class B Tri-State League in runs batted in (123), he spent most of his playing career at the Double-A level. Rowe's career reached its apex with a 14-game trial with the Los Angeles Angels of the Triple-A Pacific Coast League in 1949. Upon arrival at Pocotaglio on December 6, the Battalion of Cadets marched at the "double quick" (a run) to reach the railroad trestle at the Tulifinny River four miles away. As the cadets reached the river they were met by Major John Jenkins, CSA, and were immediately dispatched to the area where Union troops were advancing toward the railroad. Unfortunately for them, they had arrived too late as the enemy was entrenched on the Gregorie Point peninsula and within striking distance of the railroad trestles that cross the Tulifinny and Coosawatchie Rivers. General Jones assigned the cadets to protect the strategic bridge that crosses the Tulifinny.
A small handful of players might be placed in Double-A to start, usually veterans from foreign leagues or top prospects out of college. The step up to the Double-A level can be one of the hardest promotions for such players because it is the level at which pitchers need to have a good off- speed pitch in their repertoire. In addition, it is the level where fastball- only hitters need to learn how to hit off-speed pitches, or their hopes of advancing to the majors will diminish. Major League teams sometimes send players to play at the Double-A level to rehabilitate from injuries.
On September 1, Hayabusa successfully defended the Double Championship in his third defense against Hisakatsu Oya after the duo wrestled to a thirty-minute time limit draw. He made his next title defense against Jado on September 20, where he retained and then teamed with Ricky Fuji to take on Kodo Fuyuki, Koji Nakagawa and Gedo in an immediate handicap match, which he lost and this earned Nakagawa and Fuyuki title shots at the Double Championship. Ezaki successfully defended the title against Nakagawa at the October pay-per-view. On October 26, Hayabusa and Ikeda defeated Kodo Fuyuki and Yukihiro Kanemura to capture the Brass Knuckles Tag Team Championship.
For 2006, the stadium was upgraded with a $2 million inner field wall that matches the traditional Texas Tech style brick façade. An inscribing of the Matador Song at the Double T in the north and south end zones was also added. In February 2006, the university announced plans to add $60 million worth of upgrades including additional luxury suites, a 1,000-car parking garage, an upper deck, a facade on the east side of the stadium and more seating. The entire project was set to begin following the 2006 season but was cancelled before being re-initiated as a different project in 2008.
In 1983, Riggleman became manager of the St. Petersburg Cardinals, a class-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. He managed at the double-A level in the Cardinals organization—including with the Arkansas Travelers, the team which he spent most of his playing career with—and at the triple-A level in the San Diego Padres organization. Riggleman made his major league managerial debut with the Padres late in the season—after already managing a full season with the triple-A Las Vegas Stars—due to the late season departure of Greg Riddoch, and was retained through the season. He finished with a record of 112 wins and 179 losses.
The curving front drive is brick, and the house is partially surrounded by a brick and wrought iron fence. The cement back driveway ends at the double garage. Described as “one of the most imposing houses in the city” in “Early Houses In Berlin, Wisconsin and the People who Lived in Them ” by Lu Gillette published in 1976, this property Is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built by an early settler of what was then “Strong’s Landing” in 1857 in the Italianate style, the house sits on a double wide lot next to the public park on Huron Street in the city of Berlin, Green Lake County, Wisconsin.
The leading company, seeing the battalion commander gallop, moved off at the double, and the others of course followed. Coming within sight of the enemy, they drew heavy shellfire, and, still under the impression that they were intended to attack, deployed into line of columns and doubled down to the river, which they crossed. One or two companies in the neighbourhood had already begun to do so, and the stream being too wide for the mounted officers to jump, presently eight or ten companies were across the river and out of superior control. By this time the French outposts (some 1500 rifles), lining the edge of the Niederwald, were firing heavily.
Among Minor League Baseball teams, Rookie and Single-A level leagues use the DH rule in all games. At the Double-A and Triple-A level, when both teams are National League affiliates, the designated hitter rule is not available, but otherwise it is in effect. Additionally, in the Pacific Coast League, if both clubs are National League affiliates, the clubs may mutually agree to use the DH rule. The reason for the difference is that as players get closer to reaching the majors, teams prefer to have the rules mimic, as closely as possible, those of the major league teams for which the players may soon be playing.
Following the Blitz, Strange and Egan then fronted the "Club for Heroes" in London's Baker Street on Tuesdays and Thursdays in 1981, before moving to the Camden Palace nightclub in 1982 for two years, which became one of the most famous venues of the era, attracting major celebrities on a regular basis. Their next club venture, "The Playground" in 1984, was less successful. Later in the 1980s, Strange went to Ibiza, Spain, and became an integral part of the budding trance club movement and hosting parties for celebrities such as Sylvester Stallone. In the early 1990s he was the host at the "Double Bass" club in Ibiza.
Huber made his surprise debut for All Elite Wrestling (AEW) under his Brodie Lee ring name on the March 18, 2020 episode of Dynamite, revealing himself as "The Exalted One", the mysterious leader of The Dark Order faction, attacking SoCal Uncensored with the other members of the group. AD 657–684) is the earliest English poet whose name is known. A Northumbrian who cared for the animals at the double monastery of Streonæshalch (now known as Whitby Abbey) during the abbacy of St. Hilda, he was originally ignorant of "the art of song" but learned to compose one night in the course of a dream, according to the 8th- century historian Bede. He later became a zealous monk and an accomplished and inspirational Christian poet. Cædmon is one of twelve Anglo-Saxon poets identified in mediaeval sources, and one of only three of these for whom both roughly contemporary biographical information and examples of literary output have survived.
IL-7 receptor and signaling, common γ chain (blue) and IL-7 receptor-α (green) IL-7 binds to the IL-7 receptor, a heterodimer consisting of Interleukin-7 receptor alpha and common gamma chain receptor. Binding results in a cascade of signals important for T-cell development within the thymus and survival within the periphery. Knockout mice which genetically lack IL-7 receptor exhibit thymic atrophy, arrest of T-cell development at the double positive stage, and severe lymphopenia. Administration of IL-7 to mice results in an increase in recent thymic emigrants, increases in B and T cells, and increased recovery of T cells after cyclophosphamide administration or after bone marrow transplantation.
Peveril was constructed at a cost of £42,600, and was the first cargo ship ordered directly by the Steam Packet, previous ones having been bought second hand. She traded mainly between Douglas, Ramsey and Liverpool. The Isle of Man was affected by strong southeasterly gales during early March 1937, which in turn affected the Peveril's schedule. Having made passage from Liverpool to Douglas on Wednesday March 10, the Peveril was required to achor at the Double Corner, in the inner harbour of Douglas, on account of the heavy sea. She was unable to discharge her cargo on Thursday March 11, which in turn meant that the Peveril could not carry out her sailing programme as scheduled.
Hall won a federal Senate seat for the Liberal Movement at the double dissolution 1974 election, after resigning his state seat, which sparked a Goyder by-election. At the Joint Sitting of Parliament, Hall supported the Labor government's three electoral reform Bills, citing his experience as South Australian Premier. During the 1975 Australian constitutional crisis, though opposed to the Whitlam government, Hall joined Labor (and independent Cleaver Bunton) in voting against the deferral of supply bills. Hall was re-elected at the 1975 election. He became a member of the Liberal Party in June 1976 after the Liberal Movement reintegrated into the LCL, which was renamed to match with its interstate counterparts.
To make a bacon martini, the vodka needs to be prepared in advance through a process called fat washing."Fat Washing for Bacon Infused Vodka" This is done by soaking strips of cooked bacon in vodka and straining off the fat, similar to the process for marinating meat before cooking. The drink is ready when the liquid becomes filmy and opaque. At the Double Down Saloon in the East Village in New York City, the bacon martini is created by straining the bacon-infused vodka through shaken ice and serving it in a martini glass with a piece of bacon at the bottom, similar to the worm in a bottle of mezcal.

His parents were divorced and his grandmother raised him. According to the episode "Venus and the Man" he graduated from Carlisle State Teachers College. In the episode "Sparky", he mentions having played baseball in the minor leagues (at the double-A level) in Texas for a couple of years; however, this is never mentioned again, and from the context of the conversation, it's possible Sims was exaggerating or even fibbing about this experience in order to make a connection with former baseball player/manager Sparky Anderson, who had just been hired at WKRP. At the age of 22, Sims was drafted into the U. S. Army and served in the Vietnam War.
Caudron lasted 12 rounds but was defeated 99–97 on points. Despite having fought in 19 professional bouts, it was only after the Caudron fight that Owen left his job at the Suko factory as his boxing schedule became too hectic to continue working. Owen made his first defence of his Commonwealth title and his third of his British title in June 1979 against Dave Smith, an opponent he had beaten the previous year, at the Double Diamond Club in Caerphilly. Owen was eager to impress in the fight as victory would also see him achieve a lifelong ambition of retaining a Lonsdale belt, which became the permanent property of a fighter once they had completed three successful defences.
It was conceived as an expansion of Queens Boulevard service to a Southeast Queens Line along the right-of-way of the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) Atlantic Branch towards Locust Manor, and as a replacement for the dilapidated eastern portions of the Jamaica Avenue elevated within the Jamaica business district which business owners and residents sought removal of; both would meet at the double-decked line under Archer Avenue. The two- track spur from the Queens Boulevard Line would use the original Van Wyck Boulevard bellmouths. Design work on the line began in 1969. The lines and the Jamaica El removal were part of urban renewal efforts in the Downtown Jamaica area.
Zakharov subsequently sought preselection to run as a Labor Senate candidate in Victoria at the double dissolution 1983 federal election. She received the fifth position on the Labor ticket, and easily swept into parliament in the landslide Labor victory, taking the final position well ahead of her nearest rival, Democrat John Siddons. She soon established herself as a loyal member of the Socialist Left faction and as an advocate for equal rights for women and the rights of the disadvantaged. This early advocacy for progressive causes brought her the second ever Australian Humanist of the Year award in 1984. Due to having won the tenth spot in 1983, Zakharov was forced to face election against the following year, but was once again comfortably returned.

A hydrohalogenation reaction is the electrophilic addition of hydrohalic acids like hydrogen chloride or hydrogen bromide to alkenes to yield the corresponding haloalkanes. :Hydrogen bromide addition to an alkene If the two carbon atoms at the double bond are linked to a different number of hydrogen atoms, the halogen is found preferentially at the carbon with fewer hydrogen substituents, an observation known as Markovnikov's rule. This is due to the abstraction of a hydrogen atom by the alkene from the acid (HX) to form the most stable carbocation (relative stability: 3°>2°>1°>methyl), as well as generating a halogen anion. A simple example of a hydrochlorination is that of indene with hydrogen chloride gas (no solvent): :hydrochlorination of indene Alkynes also undergo hydrohalogenation reactions.
"We wanted to be able to run an RBD event and trigger all these secondary events, whether it was glass or dust simulations—all of those things needed to be chained up and handled in a procedural way," said Wright. "One of the advantages of this was that, because it was all based around a limited number of input components, you can make sure they're modeled in a way they're usable in effects—you can model something but they'll be another stage to rig it for destruction." Fire, smoke, and water stimulation tools were developed at the Double Negative studio. The studio transitioned between the existing proprietary volume rendering software to rendering in Mantra for elements such as fireball sims.
In Knot theory a useful way to visualise and manipulate knots is to project the knot onto a plane—;think of the knot casting a shadow on the wall. A small perturbation in the choice of projection will ensure that it is one-to-one except at the double points, called crossings, where the "shadow" of the knot crosses itself once transversely At each crossing we must indicate which section is "over" and which is "under", so as to be able to recreate the original knot. This is often done by creating a break in the strand going underneath. If by following the diagram the knot alternately crosses itself "over" and "under", then the diagram represents a particularly well-studied class of knot, alternating knots.
Madigan won the sixth and last Victorian Senate seat at the 2010 federal election. He took office on 1 July 2011 as the first DLP senator from Victoria since Frank McManus and Jack Little, who were both defeated at the double-dissolution election in 1974. Preference counts indicated that the primary DLP vote of 2.3 percent (75,000 votes) in Victoria reached the 14.3 percent quota required by gaining One Nation, Christian Democratic and Building Australia preferences to edge out Steve Fielding of the Family First Party with a 0.2 percent lead and thus gained their preferences. When the Australian Sex Party candidate was excluded, the DLP gained Liberal Democratic Party preferences, overtaking the third Liberal/National candidate and gaining their preferences to win the last seat.

Tanner 2017, p. 45. Second Lieutenant Bernard Martin of D Company, 1st Battalion, North Staffs would later write that, some days before the 31 July 1917 attack on Jehovah and Jordan Trenches near Zandvoorde, Pope had ordered, to the surprise of his officers, that the attacking lines were "not to charge at the double across No-Man's-Land as in the old tactics, but to walk at a steady pace towards Jehovah". Under orders from High Command, the battalion was able to "charge" only after taking Jordan Trench.; quoted in Tanner 2017, p. 49. Starting the day with an estimated 550 rifles, the battalion lost 50% of their attacking force: 4 officers killed and 7 wounded, 38 other ranks killed and 210 wounded, and 10 missing presumed killed.

Harry Clinton Warner (December 11, 1928 – April 11, 2015) was an American coach in Major League Baseball and a former first baseman and manager at the minor league level. He served as a coach for the Toronto Blue Jays during their first three seasons (1977–79) in the American League, and was a member of the Milwaukee Brewers' staff in , the first and only Brewer team to win an American League pennant. Warner's 17-year playing career (1946–62) peaked at the Double-A level. He spent much of his active career in the farm systems of the Boston Braves/Milwaukee Braves and the Washington Senators. In his finest season, 1954, he batted .317 with 17 home runs for the Salem Senators of the Class A Western International League.
Temple at the Double Structure, viewed from the west, the other temple is on the right In the prehispanic times, the Bajio region saw the most human development due to the fertility of the soil and the presence of surface water for agriculture. The oldest group to inhabit the area are called the Chupícuarios, who dominated the center of the Bajío area and were active in between 800 BCE and 300 CE. Their largest city is now the site called Chupícuaro, and their influence was widespread being found in the modern states of Zacatecas, Querétaro, Colima, Nayarit, Hidalgo, State of Mexico, Michoacán and Guerrero. Chupícuaro cities were associated with the Toltec city of Tula and when this city fell, these agricultural cities of Guanajuato also went into decline.Jimenez Gonzalez, p.
For adsorbed proteins, radiolabelling or mass spectrometry methods such as matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) can be used. Surface charge generally refers to the charge from adsorption or desorption of protons on hydroxylated sites on a nanoparticle surface. Surface charge is difficult to directly measure, so the related zeta potential is often measured instead, which is the potential at the double layer's slipping plane, which separates mobile solvent molecules from those that remain attached to the surface. Zeta potential is a calculated rather than measured property, and is a function of both the nanoparticle of interest and its surrounding medium, requiring a description of the measurement temperature; the composition, pH, viscosity, and dielectric constant of the medium; and value used for the Henry function to be meaningful.
He developed into a promising shortstop prospect for the Toronto Blue Jays in the early 1990s, being named their starting shortstop of the future multiple times, though injury problems and a lack of offense ended his hopes of stardom. Zosky began his professional career in 1989 at the age of 21 and played for 12 seasons until the age of 32 in 2000. He spent most of his professional career in the minor leagues, spending parts of two seasons at the rookie level, part of one season at the Class A level, two full seasons at the Double-A level, parts of three seasons at the Triple-A level and seven full seasons at the Triple-A level. In total, he played in 1,056 minor league games, hitting .257 with 59 home runs and 407 RBI in 3,670 at-bats.
Greece complied with the ruling and withdraw from Bulgaria, but not before 50 people had lost their lives in the short conflict. Further, Greece protested at the double standards that existed for dealing with such incidents, ones for small countries and ones for Great Powers like Italy, which occupied Corfu in the Corfu Incident just two years prior. Moreover, there was a growing democratic deficit in Greece between liberal democracy as enshrined in the Constitution, and as implemented in practice; over 1,000 political activists, mostly communists were exiled to remote Aegean islands under the Pangalos dictatorship, and the situation did not improve after his fall. A new law targeting trade union activism was passed in 1929, commonly known as the Idionymon, and some 16,000 activists were brought before criminal procedures in the period 19291936, with 3,000 exiled to remote islands.
Earlier in the same year of 2012, the BTP had produced Ray Cooney OBE’s award-winning farce Out of Order. The show was presented at the Raffles Hotel's Jubilee Hall in Singapore, and later on at the Double Tree Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, with great box office success at both venues. The events for this show included a Meet-the-Cast Reception at Eden Hall on 9 April, a Charity Gala Performance and Dinner on 11 April, and the actual performances took place from 11 to 15 April at the Jubilee Hall Theatre of the Raffles Hotel. The opening night was also attended by the Singaporean President HE Dr Tony Tan and his wife Mrs Mary Tan, the then British High Commissioner H.E. Mr Antony Phillipson, and the then President of the British Chamber of Commerce Mr Steve Puckett.
Frederick Brown "Fritz" Fisher (born November 28, 1941) is an American former professional baseball player. A left-handed pitcher who attended the University of Michigan (where he compiled a 21–9 record, including a 9–1 mark in his senior year in 1962), Fisher played five years in minor league baseball and was a standout at the Double-A level, but in his only Major League appearance, in April 1964 for the Detroit Tigers, he was treated roughly and gained only one out. In one-third of an inning, Fisher yielded two hits, four earned runs and two bases on balls. Fisher was listed at tall and . After a successful professional debut with the Double-A Knoxville Smokies and impressing manager Chuck Dressen during workouts in 1963, Fisher was added to the Tigers' 40-man spring training roster for 1964.

In June 1978 Owen fought twice, defeating Dave Smith on points at the National Sporting Club before stopping Davy Larmour in the seventh round of a fight at the Double Diamond Club in Caerphilly two weeks later. By now the possibility of Owen competing for either the Commonwealth or European bantamweight titles was being raised and Owen received an offer of between £2000–2500 to fight the reigning Commonwealth champion, Ghanaian Sulley Shittu, in his opponent's home country. Shittu, however, was stripped of the title by the Commonwealth Championship Committee soon after having failed to meet a challenger in the required time. Australian Paul Ferreri, who had lost the belt to Shittu in January 1977, stated his willingness to contest the vacant Commonwealth title with Owen, offering the Welshman £4,000, on the stipulation that the fight be held in his home country.
The Bible was translated into various languages in late antiquity; the most important of these translations are those in the Syriac dialect of Aramaic (including the Peshitta and the Diatessaron gospel harmony), the Ge'ez language of Ethiopia, and, in Western Europe, Latin. The earliest Latin translations are collectively known as the Vetus Latina, but in the late fourth century, Jerome re-translated the Hebrew and Greek texts into the normal vernacular Latin of his day, in a version known as the Vulgate (Biblia vulgata) (meaning "common version", in the sense of "popular"). Jerome's translation gradually replaced most of the older Latin texts, and also gradually ceased to be a vernacular version as the Latin language developed and divided. The earliest surviving complete manuscript of the entire Latin Bible is the Codex Amiatinus, produced in eighth century England at the double monastery of Wearmouth-Jarrow.
It gained critical acclaim and praise from Bono and Iggy Pop; Billboard magazine wrote that "it sound like no other blues album ever released" and an author there picked it to year's end critics' poll, Living Blues opined it is "perhaps the worst blues album ever made."Cited in Burnside at the Double Door Inn in Charlotte, N.C., in 1998 After parting ways with the Blues Explosion, the label turned to produce music in which recorded materials were remixed by producer Tom Rothrock with an eye to techno, downtempo and hip-hop listeners. The experiment started with a track in Mr. Wizard (1997), an album based on a variety of sessions, and matured into a full album with Come On In (1998). The recording artists themselves heard only the final product, but they conceded that with time they came to like it, in part influenced by its popularity.
Priestley said some errors lost him opportunities early on: "I may be getting too long in the tooth now but it didn't seem to go for me." Andy Hamilton led Alan Tabern 4–2 but Tabern tied at 4–4 with a 130 checkout and a finish on the double 13 outer ring before Hamilton took legs nine and ten to win 6–4. Terry Jenkins was 5–3 behind Vincent van der Voort but a 15-dart finish and a double 3 outer ring finish to win 6–5. Taylor used Peter Manley's misses at the double rings to win 6–2, while 2009 finalist Robert Thornton lost 6–3 to Kevin Painter after being 5–0 down but stopped a whitewash by winning three successive legs on checkouts of 121 and 77. Lewis overturned a 3–1 deficit to defeat Brendan Dolan 6–5 with a 100.49 three-dart average.
He finished the year as the top AMA Privateer, and in between the two full Harley Davidson factory riders Mike Smith and Pascal Picotte. Consistently qualifying as top privateer, and on the same row as the Harley Davison factory riders was a good indicator that he was there as a rider, but was near the limits of equipment. At the end of the year Harley Davidson withdrew from Superbike Racing. 2000 On a Honda RC51 HRC Jordan captured the first pole using ‘transponder’ timing in Canada, plus two wins at the double header opening round in Calgary, fifth place in the rain on his CBR600F4 Sportbike used in Superbike at St. Eustache, and a third at Mosport Park, followed by a fall in Schubenacadie then back to back wins for St. Felicien then Shannonville. He won four out of the seven races for 2000, and is the dominant Canadian rider since 1999.
The Tandy 2000 used quad-density 5.25" floppy disks formatted at 720k. This format (80-track disks at the double-density bitrate) was not used by PC-compatibles, although some CP/M machines and the Commodore 8050/8250 drives had them. Normal PCs of the time had 40-track double-density floppy drives and could not read quad-density due to the drive heads being too wide to read the narrower tracks. 1.2MB 5.25" drives (introduced on the IBM AT) could read quad-density disks as they were 80-track and had thinner heads. Various utility programs for DOS existed that allowed nonstandard formats, such as the Tandy 2000's disks, to be read. Much like 1.2MB drives, the Tandy 2000 had problems reliably writing 360k PC disks due to the smaller heads not completely erasing the tracks and causing 40-track drives to become confused by residual magnetic signals on the outer edge of the track.

Travelling to his next gig at the Double Diamond Club in Caerphilly, Wales, he was killed outright in a car crash on a single lane bridge at Glangrwyney, near Crickhowell, Wales on 6 May 1971, at the age of 41, together with pianist Sidney Boatman and drummer Dave Pearson, aged 42. The coroner's inquest revealed the car in which the three were travelling to have been driven in excess of 90 mph at time of impact, and that Valentine, who was driving his wife Wendy's Hillman Avenger, with which he was unfamiliar (he was awaiting delivery of his new customised car), had lost control of the vehicle while attempting to take a (clearly marked) dangerous bend. Valentine had travelled on that stretch of road many times and was familiar with its hazards. It was thought Valentine's attention might have been distracted by conversation with his friends, in addition to fatigue (the crash having happened at 4:20am).
Only Queensland polled higher for the party than their nationwide percentage − the party polled 9.2% (+8.6%) of the primary vote in that state. Assisted by halved Senate quotas at the double dissolution election, Pauline Hanson (QLD), Malcolm Roberts (QLD), Brian Burston (NSW) and Rod Culleton (WA) were elected to the Senate. Elected to the 3rd Queensland Senate spot, as per convention, Hanson is serving a six-year term ending in 2022 while the term of the other three One Nation Senators expire in 2019. The highest result in the House of Representatives was 20.9% of the primary vote in Wright (QLD). On 18 December 2016, Rod Culleton (WA) left the party after months of legal troubles and party infighting to sit as an independent bringing the number of party senators to 3. On 3 February 2017, the High Court of Australia ruled that Culleton's election was invalid due to a conviction for which he was subject to being sentenced at the time of the election, notwithstanding that the conviction was subsequently annulled.
In early May, Gibson was optioned to the Pittsfield Red Sox of the Eastern League (then at the Double-A level); he was recalled to Boston later in the month. On June 12, Gibson hit a two-run home run at Fenway Park off of Joe Verbanic to help defeat the Yankees, 3–1; it was his first major league homer. During the regular season, Gibson appeared in 49 major league games, batting .203 with one home run and 15 RBIs. A member of the pennant-winning 1967 Red Sox "Impossible Dream" team, Gibson caught the first game of that year's World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals; he was 0-for-2 before being lifted for a pinch hitter in the seventh inning. His only other appearance in the series was defensively in the ninth inning of Game 7, which the Cardinals won, 7–2. Gibson in 1969 ;1968 On June 23, 1968, Gibson went 4-for-4 against the Chicago White Sox at Comiskey Park. The major difference between Windows code page 950 and "common" (non-vendor-specific) Big5 is the incorporation of a subset of the ETEN extensions to Big5 at 0xF9D6 through 0xF9FE (comprising the seven Chinese characters 碁, 銹, 裏, 墻, 恒, 粧, and 嫺, followed by 34 box drawing characters and block elements). The ranges used by some of the other ETEN extended characters are instead defined as end-user defined (private use) characters. IBM's implementation of CCSID 950, is slightly different, incorporating some of the ETEN extensions for lead bytes 0xA3, 0xC6, 0xC7 and 0xC8, while omitting those with lead byte 0xF9 (which Microsoft includes), mapping them instead to the Private Use Area as user-defined characters. Microsoft updated their version of code page 950 in 2000, adding the euro sign (€) at the double-byte code 0xA3E1. IBM refers to the euro sign update as CCSID 1370 (which includes both single-byte (0x80) and double-byte euro signs) or CCSID 1373 (which includes only the double-byte euro sign).

Two misses from Taylor at the double 16 outer ring allowed Nicholson to obtain a three-leg advantage and go within one leg of taking the second berth in the final. But Taylor used errors from Nicholson to win the next two legs on the double 4 outer ring and a subsequent 64 checkout to force a final leg decider. Nicholson took the lead on two scores of more than 100 and hit the double five outer ring to win 10–9. Post-match, Nicholson said his finishing was the key to victory and Taylor felt the latter was a deserved winner due to Nicholson playing better. The best-of-25 legs final between King and Nicholson commenced at 21:30 local time that same evening. Nicholson claimed the first leg on a 105 checkout and King the second to level the score. Both of the following two legs were shared, which saw a 96 checkout from Nicholson, before King took the lead on the double 16 outer ring before the first interval. Nicholson returned to the lead by securing another two legs until King's finishes on the double 16 and 10 outer rings regained him the lead.
