As a two-year-old pacer, Strike Out earned more money than any horse in his age group and was named by Harness Tracks of America (HTA) and the United States Trotting Association (USTA) as the top harness horse his age in North America. In 1972 he became the first horse to win a Canadian harness race with a $100,000 purse. That year he went on to race in the United States, capturing the important Adios Stakes in a dead heat with Jay Time,Rare dead heat in Adios Stakes the Fox Stake, the Roosevelt Futurity,Strike Out wins $81,216 Futurity the Beaver Pace and other major races all over North America, including the Prix d'Été at Montreal's Blue Bonnets Raceway. In 2003 he visited Swansea, to take part in the festival at the Dylan Thomas Centre commemorating the 50th anniversary of Dylan Thomas's death. Shortly before his death he completed his memoir, Adios Granada, about his life with Romani people in Sacremonte, Spain, in the 1950s and 1960s. Charles Fisher died in Bangkok, aged 91. On August 15, 2008, RBD released a message telling fans that they had decided to split up. They went on one final tour, Gira Del Adios World Tour which ended in 2008. On November 25, 2008, Dulce collaborated with Tiziano Ferro and Anahí on a song called El Regalo Màs Grande. Following the breakup of RBD, Dulce signed with Universal Music and announced that she began recording in 2009 as a solo artist.

Overtrick also defeated Cardigan Bay in an earlier race in 1964, prevailing by a neck in a mile and a half race. In 1965 Cardigan Bay won the American Pacing Classic at Hollywood Park and the National Pacing Derby and Nassau Pace both at Roosevelt Raceway. At Hollywood Park he led a race over 1 1/16 miles helping to establish a world record for the distance of 2.03 2/5 by the winner Adios Vic. Cardigan Bay finished second after leading through the first mile in 1.56. He also had a win over Adios Vic in 1.57 2/5 which was his fastest time in a race. He was the leading stakeswinner in Australian harness racing for the second consecutive season. Hondo Grattan’s first major engagement of the 1974/5 season was the Hunter Cup carnival in Melbourne where he was third to Gallagher before finishing third to Royal Gaze and Paleface Adios in the Cup itself. The Interdominion was held in Auckland, New Zealand that year and although a strong team of Australian pacers including Hondo Grattan, Paleface Adios, Just Too Good and Royal Gaze made the trip across the Tasman, they were no match for Young Quinn who was unbeaten during the series. Hondo Grattan performed creditably finishing fifth, third and second in his heats despite a 25m handicap. Turnbull was suspended for the final when ‘Hondo’ finished sixth to Young Quinn. It looked like a major race win would escape him that season, but he completed 1974/5 by winning the Lord Mayor’s Cup from a handicap of 25m. During the season he became Australian harness racing’s leading stakesearner. The 1975/6 season was Hondo Grattan's last on the racetrack.

He won the Inter Dominion Pacing Championship in both 1973 and 1974, becoming the first horse to successfully defend an Inter Dominion title. The Coro di Nuoro was born in 1952 at the behest of a group of young music lovers, popular songs and popular traditions in particular of Nuoro and Barbagia. In 1955 the choir had participated and won the national radio music festival "Il campanile d'oro". In 1965 the choir director became Gian Paolo Mele and, through his intense work, over the years, numerous melodies of the popular songs of Sardinia were recovered. In addition, Mele had put to music several compositions of some Nuoro poets, making them real popular songs that have become heritage of the island culture, including: "Zia Tatana Faragone", "Adios, Nugoro Amada", "Sa crapola".

Carbó's father was well connected to Philippine literature, as he was college friends with Philippine literary giant Raphael Zulueta y da Costa, whose book Like the Molave and Other Poems won the Commonwealth Literary Prize in 1940. In the 1890s Garay got involved in the Cuban War of Independence, and decided a stay in Hispaniola (Haiti and Dominican Republic) would be a good idea. It was, and he came back with a wife. Garay settled in Havana in 1906, and in 1926 joined Rita Montaner and others to visit Paris, spending three months there singing his songs.

Vrenna's solo project, Tweaker, opened for Skinny Puppy during their 2004 North American tour. Danny Carey from Tool and Wayne Static of Static-X provided drums and backup vocals, respectively, for the song "Use Less" from The Greater Wrong of the Right. Ogre worked with KMFDM on several occasions, touring with them in 1997 and providing vocals on the song "Torture" from their album Symbols (the song also features production from Dave Ogilvie) as well as for the songs "That's All" and "Full Worm Garden" from 1999's Adios. Skinny Puppy also provided a remix for the Mötley Crüe song "Hooligan's Holiday"; Nikki Sixx reported that the band "just dumped the whole song in the computer and went off".

Scrubs writers worked with several medical advisors, including doctors Jonathan Doris, Jon Turk, and Dolly Klock. Their names serve as the basis for the names of characters John Dorian, Chris Turk, and Molly Clock (played by Braff, Faison, and Heather Graham, respectively). In the season eight finale "My Finale", the "real J.D.", Jonathan Doris, made a cameo appearance as the doctor who said "adios" to J.D. In addition, the show creator said that every single medical story on the show was handed to them by real physicians, whose names would then be written into the show. The show never used real patients’ names, but Lawrence and his writers would make sure the doctors’ names were written into the episodes.

The band returned to Europe in September 2008 playing to packed venues across Ukraine (with noted punk musician Sasha Pipa, Attraktor and VV), Romania and Turkey. 2009 saw the release of EPs Adios Motherf-ker and Coming Home (US only) and started with a trip to the Solomon Islands with the Australian Military to perform for troops posted in Honiara. Another European tour ensued, including shows in London, Birmingham, Liverpool, Poland, Romania and Ukraine. During a tour of Poland and Slovakia in early 2010 - the coldest winter in 30 years - a sweaty fan exclaimed "You're not asleep, you're on fire!" and the band shed their outgrown sleepy name and became The On Fires.

Since 1964, Ruscha has been experimenting regularly with painting and drawing words and phrases, often oddly comic and satirical sayings alluding to popular culture and life in LA. When asked where he got his inspiration for his paintings, Ruscha responded, “Well, they just occur to me; sometimes people say them and I write down and then I paint them. Sometimes I use a dictionary.” From 1966 to 1969, Ruscha painted his “liquid word” paintings: Words such as Adios (1967), Steel (1967–9) and Desire (1969) were written as if with liquid spilled, dribbled or sprayed over a flat monochromatic surface.

The change to a religious focus was not easy and they lost many of their fans and found opposition among the members of their own faith when they suggested the idea of Christian salsa. They stood their ground and little by little they started to regain the confidence of their fans and fellow Christians, when they recorded salsa songs with a religious message. However, so as to concentrate in their religious ministries, Ray and Cruz decided to record one last "secular" salsa song together: "Adios a la Salsa" (Goodbye to Salsa) was a farewell tribute to the style of music which gave them fame and fortune. Figueroa became active in the Union Party of Puerto Rico, founded in February 1904 by Luis Muñoz Rivera, Rosendo Matienzo Cintrón, Antonio R. Barceló, José de Diego, and others after the disbanding of the Federal Party. It supported greater self-government for the island but was divided between pro- independence and pro-statehood factions. Figueroa supported independence and belonged to the Unionist subcommittee of the town of Cataño. In 1906, Figueroa decided to study medicine at the University of Havana, in Cuba but not without having published the article "Adios Patria" ("Good-Bye My Nation") in the newspaper "El Eco de Cataño," an article in which he promised to return and to fight for his country against the new tyrant, the United States.

The colt however made an inauspicious debut at Sydney's Harold Park as a two-year-old when he fell, as a short priced favourite. He started in an incredible seven consecutive Miracle Miles at Harold Park (one of Australia's Grand Circuit races which is invitation only) winning once in 1976 beating Don't Retreat and Hondo Grattan in a time of 1.58.4. The popularity of the Long Island has spawned its own family of highballs. An example of a variation to the Long Island is the Grateful Dead (also variously known as the Purple Rain or the Black Superman), which uses the same mix as a Long Island but the Triple Sec is replaced with a shot of Chambord and the cola replaced with lemon-lime soda. After two defeats in lead up races at Moonee Valley by Markovina, Pure Steel gained his first Hunter Cup win defeating Paleface Adios and Royal Force. Following a sixth and last place in the Miracle Mile Pace, and a win in the BP Marathon, Pure Steel tried to make up for his second place in the 1976 Interdominion to Carclew at Albion Park in Brisbane. However he finished unplaced in the final. The 1977–78 season cemented Pure Steel's name amongst the great horses of Australian harness racing. He began the season by winning the Whirlwind Sprint at Moonee Valley in a quick 1:58.5, finished second in the Winfield Cup, also at Moonee Valley, and second in the Kilmore Cup.

Following its release, the original Buena Vista Social Club album was an international best seller, and the most successful album in the history of Cuban music. The band was also profiled in the film of the same name, directed by Wim Wenders, in which the Cuban musicians travelled to Amsterdam and New York City as a full line-up, the latter performance was recorded in 1998 and released as a live album in 2008. This newfound attention allowed solo albums to be recorded by Ibrahim Ferrer, Eliades Ochoa, Manuel "Guajiro" Mirabal, Jesús "Aguaje" Ramos, Omara Portuondo, Rubén González and Cachaíto López. Numbertime is a BBC educational numeracy television series for primary schools that was aired on BBC Two from 20 September 1993 to 3 December 2001. For its first four series, it was presented by Lolita Chakrabarti. El Nombre, an animated character used throughout the series, eventually became the concept for his own educational BBC children's television program; his name means "The Name" in Spanish, and not "The Number", which would be "El Número". Dan Patch 1:55, an advertisement from Breeder and Sportsman (1911) In 1906, the National Trotting Association banned the use of wind shields, although they did allow Dan Patch's 1905 records to stand. Thus, his official best mile is 1:55. Unofficially, his best time was 1:55, paced in September 1906 at the Minnesota State Fair. Savage was so indignant about the 1:55 mark not being recognized that he renamed his International Stock Food Farm to the International 1:55 Stock Food Farm. Savage later used Dan Patch and his offspring in ads for the farm, with the 1:55 time clearly included. The 1:55 mark was equaled in following years but was not broken until 1960, 54 years after Dan Patch's run, when Adios Butler paced the first sub-1:55 mile in 1:54:3.

Radio has been decisive in Frédéric François's career, because it was thanks to free radio stations that he tasted success, when they had just come into being, by playing "Adios Amor" extensively in 1982, which brought him out of three long years in the wilderness. The album lifted much from its predecessor from six years before. It had the same theme, travel, and the same arranger (Billy May) and where the first had been the brainchild of one songwriting partnership (Cahn and Van Heusen), Two-Beat relied on another pairing, that of Jay Livingston and Ray Evans. The result was a spirited and lively album but, as with many follow-ups, one that never quite matched the original. Livingston and Evans composed some new material, including the title track, as well as providing some updated lyrics for some of the older material that Bing and Rosemary chose to include. Thus, the 1883 song about a Dublin fishmonger, “Molly Malone” became an updated “Daughter of Molly Malone”. A classical piece, Johann Strauss's “Tales from the Vienna Woods” became the “New Vienna Woods”, whilst the Latin standard “Cielito Lindo”” became “Adios, Senorita”.

Franco Nero as the title character in Django (1966) Nero's first film role was a small part in Pelle viva (1962), and he had his first lead role in Sergio Corbucci's Django (1966) a spaghetti western and one of his best-known films. In 1966 from Django he went on to appear in eight more films released that year including Texas, Adios (1966) and Massacre Time. In 1967, he appeared in Camelot as Lancelot, where he met his longtime romantic partner, and later on in life his wife, Vanessa Redgrave. Following this he appeared in the mafia film Il giorno della civetta opposite Claudia Cardinale released in 1968. A lack of proficiency in English tended to limit these roles, although he also appeared in other English-language films including The Virgin and the Gypsy (1970), Force 10 from Navarone (1978), Enter the Ninja (1981) and Die Hard 2 (1990).

Hernán Elizondo's most well-received novel, Memorias de un Pobre Diablo, was translated into German and English, saw eight editions, and won several prizes, including first prize in both Juegos Florales in 1963 and Aquileo Echeverría de Novela in 1964. This novel explored rural Guanacaste with all its social, political and economic problems. Several other novels followed: La Cuidad y la Sombra, La Calle, el Jinete y Yo, Muerto al Amanecer, Adios, Prestiño, De Este Lado de la Eternidad, and most recently Capitán, Mi Capitán, the story of the Costa Rican war of 1948. Hernán Elizondo is also the author of La Ventana, a collection of stories published in the newspaper Excelsio, a compilation of articles published in Diario Extra under the title Como La Ventana, and El Santo, el Niño y el Mar, a long story about the life of Fray Casiano of Madrid.

Everglow in April 2019 On March 18, 2019, Everglow released their first single album, Arrival of Everglow, with the lead single "Bon Bon Chocolat". The song was co- written by the American singer-songwriter Melanie Fontana, who has previously written for established groups including the boy band BTS and the singer Tiffany Young. Member E:U also participted in co-writing the track "Moon". The group made their debut stage on March 21 on Mnet's music program M Countdown. Everglow enjoyed commercial success with their releases; Arrival of Everglow debuted and peaked at number 6 on the Gaon Album Chart, selling more than 23,000 copies as of September 2019, while "Bon Bon Chocolat" debuted and peaked at number 5 on the World Digital Song Sales Chart, selling 5,000 copies in the US as of August. On August 19, 2019, the group released their second single album Hush with the lead single "Adios".

He began to be offered for stud service in 1816, and his progeny spread throughout the eastern US. Known mainly as saddle stock, they also included several pacing horses. Another roan stallion, Tom Hal, a successful pacer in his own right, founded an important family of pacers in the US. Appearing in Kentucky in 1824, he was offered for stud, and his offspring (many of whom carried on the family name, being differentiated only by the name of the owner) began the family of Standardbreds that included Little Brown Jug, Brown Hal, Star Pointer, Adios and Good Time, all champion harness racing horses. Another pacing import to the US was a black stallion named Old Pilot, said to have been bred near Montreal, who originated the Pilot family of trotting horses. Old Pilot produced a son, also named Pilot, who was acclaimed as a sire of trotting horses, as well as being a successful harness horse himself.

The final FGW 180 ran on 30 March 2009. Keith Waples (born December 8, 1923 in Victoria Harbour, Ontario) is a Hall of Fame sulky driver and trainer in the sport of harness racing. In 1959, Waples became the first driver to record a sub two-minute mile in Canada and the first to win a $100,000 race in Canada. Following the reunion of James in 2007, Andy returned to the band during their festival tour in the summer of that year and played on the new album Hey Ma, released on 7 April 2008. He is now a full-time member of the band again, featuring on every live performance from 2008 to 2015 (with odd occasions when only 4 or 5 members attended live appearances), and has featured prominently on their recent albums La Petite Mort, released June 2014, Girl At The End Of The World (released March 2016), Living in Extraordinary Times (August 2018), and accompanying the band on their UK and Portugal tour in November 2014, festival tour in 2015, and subsequent tours since. Andy performed with Pale Fountains at their 25th anniversary reunion concerts in Liverpool and London on 2 and 3 February 2008 and worked with Michael Head and the Red Elastic Band on their 2017 record, Adios, Señor Pussycat. Andy currently lives in London, where he is active on the jazz and improvised music scenes and has taught Music Production at City Lit College.

Importantly, Kiki of Paris manages to find the unusual even in the most normal circumstances. This is the cornerstone of his humanistic approach to photography, as shown in the image Key West. Kiki of Paris claims this image reminds him of the book Visions of Cody by Jack Kerouac: “You know that strange feeling when the taxi leaves and you feel lonely in the world, like an orphan?” Among the many of Kiki of Paris 's influences, it is worth noting some of the very brief encounters that guided her choices and her destiny: Henry Miller of course, but also the American director Joseph Losey and the survivors of the beat generation who passed through Paris.

The late 1960s- early 1970s were a sad period in Edna Manley's life, where her husband Norman Manley was ill and passed away. Most of her works during this mourning period were intense and expresses grief, some of these works are: Angel (1970), Kingston parish church, Journey (1974), National Gallery of Jamaica Woman (1971), Adios (1971). Journey was the last wooden carving done by Edna Manley, all her works after that was modeled in clay and cast, she started exploring other Medias like drawing and painting. According to the book Edna Manley Sculptor by David Boxer "After a short break which saw the five completed Mourning Carvings exhibited at the Bolivar Gallery in an enormously successful one-man exhibition (her first include sculpture since 1948), Edna returned once again to carving and two more works were added to the series.” The book also states "it is a symbol of the inner, frightened self and while she was carving the Faun, the initial ideas for Journey began to surface.” Manley played a major role in helping her husband fight for Jamaicans independence and despite her husband's death she continued to play a major role in the cultural development of Jamaica.
