Vandkunsten viewed from Rådhusstræde Vandkunsten (literally "The Water Feature") is a small square in the Old Town of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is located on the corner of Rådhusstræde with Løngangstræde. The name also refers to a fountain from 1910 that stands in the middle of the square.

The park also houses a popular restaurant, a bath and the Duttweiler museum. The large lawns and the vast children's playground also attracts during the summer months puppet shows, donkey rides, a toy train and a water feature. In the summer months, various cultural events are held.
Winthrop Square to receive enhancements in connection with tower construction. Since the 2016 version, Millennium Partners decided to redevelop the heart of Winthrop Square. It would include street trees, a water feature, granite paving, flowering understory trees, canopy trees, sculptural benches and a pedestrian connection to Winthrop Square Tower.
The fountain's waterfall has a drop of approximately 10 feet with a flow of 10,000 gallons per minute. Due to concerns about drowning the city eventually had to post signs prohibiting wading and playing within the water feature. The plaza between the water feature and library, which had last been rehabilitated in 1992, was reconstructed throughout the summer of 2019 in order to better utilize the space, which had previously been all-concrete and featured obsolete electrical fixtures. A 1998 clock tower in front of the library containing four relief sculptures of library and art themes was removed, with the reliefs incorporated into four new structures along 8th Street lit by LEDs.
The place has a strong or special association with a person, or group of persons, of importance of cultural or natural history of New South Wales's history. The Darling Harbour Woodward water feature is of state significance as it has special associations with its designer Bob Woodward AM (1923-2010), a notable architect and a World War II Veteran whose career as a fountain designer was of national and international prominence. The place is important in demonstrating aesthetic characteristics and/or a high degree of creative or technical achievement in New South Wales. The Darling Harbour Water Feature is of state aesthetic significance as a spectacular fountain and outstanding work of modernist design in water.
The company continues to operate as a fountain product manufacturer and supplier while designing a number of significant projects each year. Projects from this period include the World Voices fountain in the residential lobby of the world's tallest building, Burj Khalifa and the Aquatheatre aboard Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas cruise ship. For the World Voices feature, Crystal collaborated with international artist Jaume Plensa (who had previously worked with Crystal on Crown Fountain ) to create a water feature that doubled as a work of art. The Aquatheatre, meanwhile, had to be incorporated into all the other systems aboard the Oasis Of the Seas, resulting in the first-ever theatrical water feature installed on a cruise ship.
The central water feature at Holliday Lake is the 150-acre man- made lake. Contributing resources include Picnic Shelter #1, Wellhouse (c. 1939), the Dam/Spillway/Bridge/Lake, Drainage Culvert, Retaining Wall, and the Park Circulation System. Examination of the find led to the conclusion that it was most likely a water feature contemporary with the Hall and pre-dated Brindley's residence.
Jørn Larsen's water feature outside Thorvaldsens Museum Jørn Larsen (15 December 1926 – 13 June 2004) was a Danish painter and sculptor. He was a member of Grønningen from 1970 and received the Eckersberg Medal in 1978 and the Thorvaldsen Medal in 1989. He represented Denmark at the Venice Biennale in 1993.
Songkhla Lake (, , ) is the largest natural lake in Thailand. It is on the Malay peninsula in the southern part of the country. Covering an area of 1,040 km2 it borders the provinces of Songkhla and Phatthalung. Despite being called a lake, this water feature is actually a lagoon complex geologically.

Goodwin's service to the city. The design of the park was developed by Frederick Law Olmsted of Brookline, Massachusetts in 1900. This plan shows a grand meadow framed by tree plantations with individual trees and small clusters within the meadow space, and a small water feature. The park was constructed essentially as designed.
The granite blocks that have been set into the paving at the entrance to the labyrinth and the nearby water feature in the square serve as reminders of this buried creek. The labyrinth is oriented in the direction of true north, as indicated by the directional lines created with the granite blocks.

Temple of Debod (Madrid, Spain) in the reflecting pool of the garden of the Parque del Oeste. A reflecting pool or reflection pool is a water feature found in gardens, parks, and at memorial sites. It usually consists of a shallow pool of water, undisturbed by fountain jets, for a reflective surface.

During the transformation of the business park many of the old buildings were removed and during the landscaping, car parks were moved to the perimeter of the site with the centre being transformed with open parkland and a water feature to provide a 'park' feel to the complex. Chatuchak Park Water feature Chatuchak Park () is the name of a public park in Chatuchak district, Bangkok, Thailand. It is also the name of the Chatuchak Park MRT Station that lies under the park. Chatuchak park is one of the oldest public parks in Bangkok. Construction began in 1975 on land donated by the State Railway of Thailand.
The improvements included of granite paving and a water feature surrounding the Shakespeare statue. The square re-opened in May 2012 after 17 months' work at a total cost of £15.3 million. The Greater London Authority said the refurbishments would accommodate more than 1,000 new jobs. The re-opening coincided with the 2012 Summer Olympics later that year.

The Chinese courtyard is a place of privacy and tranquility, almost always incorporating a garden and water feature.

Essential Forces, or the Essential Forces Fountain, is a fountain outside Portland, Oregon's Moda Center, in the United States. The water feature was created by WET Design of Los Angeles, and its stone pillars once shot out fire. It is "computerized" and was donated to the city by Paul Allen. The fountain was completed in 1995 and has 500 water jets.
On 2 September, 2013 new plans for the cenotaph were presented including a new staircase and water feature up to the Parliament Buildings. The works also includes repairs to the cenotaph surface materials and creation of a square to create a ceremonial space. In 2015 the Wellington Anzac Day citizen's wreath-laying ceremony was held at the upgraded National War Memorial.
The Baroque garden was recreated in a somewhat modified form in the first half of the 1990s. A water feature cascades down the central axis of the terraced complex. As at 22 July 2013, the fabric is in good condition. The Darling Harbour Water Feature is a highly intact example of a rare fountain form designed by Robert Woodward. Woodward created a water flow condition that is easily sculpted by minor external forces. The weir configuration and drag disturbance from the sides of the spiral create waves which travel downstream.
The Xieqiqu (谐奇趣, lit.: Harmonious Wonder) is located in the southwest corner of the Xiyang Lou. The complex is noted for containing China's first European-style water feature. The basins of the key fountains had a floral layout (shaped like crabapple or chrysanthemum flowers); they were fed by bronze waterspouts in the shape of animals (rams, ducks, fish).

Rain chain with copper Cups Rain chains (, kusari-toi or kusari-doi, See rendaku for why multiple pronunciations. literally "chain-gutter") are alternatives to a downspout. They are widely used in Japan. Their purpose is largely decorative, to make a water feature out of the transport of rainwater from the guttering downwards to a drain or to a storage container.
During this time, Crystal specialized in fountains for malls and other indoor spaces, focusing on selling water feature components and design services to predominately Canadian customers. L'Heureux retired in 1987 and passed the business down to his two sons, Paul and David L'Heureux, as Crystal continued to move away from fountain installation and focus more heavily on design services and product supply.
Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen's Mermaid sculpture On Søren Kierkegårds Plads stands Elisabeth Toubro's non-figurative sculpture Urban Fractal from 2000. The square is also the site of a water feature by Mogens Møller. Demosthenes A bronze cast of Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen's 1921 sculpture Mermaid was installed on the waterfront outside the Black Diamond in 2009. The location was once known as the Mermaid Bank.

It is located between the offices of the Ministry of Finance, Høyblokka ("High Block"), and Y Block in Regjeringskvartalet. The square encompasses the Regjeringsparken ("The Government Park") with a water feature and an allée of trees. The square and park were designed by architect firm of Lunde & Løvseth.
Water feature on Gråbrødretorv, 1971 One of Jensen's early works was a full-size statue of David (1946) for which he won the Academy's gold medal. From the beginning of the 1950s, he adopted a Naturalistic approach which became increasingly Abstract. He worked mainly with granite and marble but occasionally with bronze and clay. He also experimented with other materials such as glass or even clay piping.
The water feature Cycling the square The square has a somewhat hidden location. Niels Hemmingsensgade connects it in opposite directions to Amagertorv and Skindergade, Løvstræde connects it to Købmagergade to the east and Gråbrødrestræde connects it to Klosterstræde to the west. It has a surface area of 3,510 m2. The square is characterized by colorful house fronts and dominated by a large plane tree.
On the inland side of the boardwalk north of the pool is a series of ground level terraces framed with landscape. These areas include a children's play area with a water feature and other spaces shaded by palm and melaleuca trees. The Event House contains three rooms of different sizes, two with fireplaces, for community use. The boardwalk terminates at the north parking lot.
Town Center Park is a small municipal park in Wilsonville, Oregon, United States. Located in the middle of Wilsonville's town center, the park cost $4.5 million to complete. The park includes the Oregon Korean War Memorial, a visitor's center, paths, a play area, picnic tables, and an amphitheater among other features. Completed in 2005, Town Center Park is also home to Wilsonville's first interactive water feature.
During 1971 to 1982, a kidney-shaped swimming pool was built in the garden. During 1982 to 1986, an ornamental pool with a fountain was created at the foot of the main stairs leading down from the north Veranda. During 1987 to 1992, a small pergola on the lower terrace was erected and the water feature of the main garden staircase was converted into an impressive planter.

The Jordan River is the largest water feature within Murray. It traverses the western edge of Murray, where it eventually reaches the Great Salt Lake. Murray administers a trail and green area that borders the river through the whole city. At the center of the "Parterre Bas" is a large circular pool with a jet d'eau water feature, surrounded by formal lawns planted with topiary. Main water feature in Toronto's Eaton CentreCrystal was founded in 1967 by Roger L'Heureux, an engineer at a Toronto-based drain company, when he collaborated on fountains for the Expo 67 pavilions in Montreal with international sculptor Gerald Gladstone. Through the late 1960s and 1970s, L'Heureux continued to design and install water features throughout the Toronto area, often in conjunction with Gladstone. One of Crystal's best known projects of this era was the design and implementation of the principal water feature in Toronto's Eaton Centre. Opened in 1977, and still operating today, the fountain shoots a column of water into the air every 10 minutes before catching it in a comparatively small basin 6 meters in diameter. In 1977, Crystal acquired Decorative Fountain Company (or DEFO), a producer of fountain components such as nozzles and drains. With its new manufacturing capabilities, Crystal continued to expand through the late 1970s and 1980s.
As consolation to the nearby residents in losing a well loved water feature in their neighbourhood, the city agreed to include several concrete lined ponds on the top of the enclosed reservoir. The park and its ravine plays an important role in the lives of the surrounding Midtown inhabitants in their recreation and personal lives. As of 2017 the reservoir is undergoing rehabilitation with the park to be reconstructed with modifications.

Upper falls The “Walls” is an impressive geological feature that forms a large bowl shaped amphitheater. Embedded in the limestone are bowling ball size holes from which water drips and spouts, creating a unique water feature. This amphitheater gives rise to steep sheer rock walls that creates the natural feature defining the amphitheater. Turkey Creek drains through the “Walls” and has been an active geological force in creating the amphitheater.
The Hambrick Botanical Gardens are botanical gardens located on the grounds of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, 1700 NE 63rd Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. There are four gardens on the grounds: the Norma Sutherland Garden with waterfall, ponds, and natural vegetation; the Atherton Garden; the Western States Plaza with flower beds and water feature; and the Hambrick Garden with streams, trees, flower beds, and sculptures including Paint Mare and Filly.

Marmore's Falls in Umbria, Italy, the tallest artificial waterfall in the world An artificial waterfall is a water feature or fountain which imitates a natural waterfall. Artificial waterfalls have long been featured in traditional Japanese gardens, where they can serve to highlight a scene or to provide focus. A proposed renovation which would completely eliminate the water feature prompted commentary opposing its demolition in 2013. , the fountain had been completely removed, and the location and status of its sculptural components were unknown to the general public. From its opening, the mall has been marketed as a high- end luxury retail location. Over time, the mix of stores changed in response to sweeping changes affecting the US retailing market.
The box parterre in the garden was planted to celebrate the millennium and the gravel garden was planted in 2003. Beyond this is a Golden Arboretum which planted in 2001 to commemorate the Golden Wedding of Lord and Lady FitzWalter. The walled garden contains roses, wisteria, clematis, jasmine and a water feature. Fruit, vegetables and herbs grow in the kitchen garden and there is also an ornamental greenhouse.

At the centre of the park, where the paths meet, is a rock and water feature, heavily built up with concrete block. The paths are lined with large established trees.
Columbus Circle is located to the southwest, across West Drive. Heckscher Playground consists of 14 swings, several slides, seesaws, a sandbox, and an open space made of artificial turf and rubber playground surfacing. In addition, it includes a large climbing structure with a water feature at the top, from which water flows downward into the climbing structure through a series of crevices. Spray jets for younger kids are located nearby.
Paul Bunyan's Forest Camp is an education exploration center modeled after an old-time forest camp. The Mill Building houses displays of North State forests and local wildlife, including live animals. Outdoor exhibits focus on the timber and logging industries in California and the railroads. Other amenities include outdoor play equipment, a water feature, an amphitheater that hosts seasonal animal show, and a seasonal aviary and butterfly house.
Circle Drive marks the southern boundary, with access to SK Hwy 14 and Sk Hwy 16, the Yellowhead Trans Canada. It is a main thoroughfare through the city connecting Regina, Saskatoon and Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. It also connects west Saskatoon with the bedroom communities of Warman and Martensville. The area includes the western end of the Hudson Bay Slough, a water feature that used to dominate the northern end of Saskatoon.
New trees, greenery, a statue and a water feature had been installed in front of the court house. Much of the area around the park had been reconstructed including commercial building on Kingston Street and The Square. The last work to be completed was the Kingston block of commercial buildings on Kingston Street and The Square. In 1997 the District Council implemented a Spring Water Arts Project to map water sources around the hills. Garrard undertook a two-month artist's residency and collaborated with the public, who provided locations of over two hundred water sources. Garrard was commissioned to create the drinking spout, Malvhina, which was unveiled on 4 September 1998. The Enigma water feature in the town centre, part of a group by Rose Garrard.
The east facade of the complex retains the walls of the terrace and front entrance of the transformer station built in 1904. The area where the transformers resided is now the Grand Hall convention halls. At the main entrance is a water feature called 'The Teslatron'. During its first few years of functioning it featured nightly displays with added audio and lighting but over the past few years this has ceased.
The Spokane River is the area's most prominent water feature, a tributary of the Columbia River, originating from Lake Coeur d'Alene in northern Idaho.Soltero et al. (1992), p. 460 The river flows west across the Washington state line through downtown Spokane, meeting Latah Creek, then turns to the northwest, where it is joined by the Little Spokane River on its way to the Columbia River, north of Davenport.

One of Copenhagen's old telephone kiosks is found on the square. It was installed and operated by A/S Kjøbenhavns Telefonkiosker. On the square is Hanne Varming's bronze statue The Elder Mother (Hyldemor), presenting an elderly couple seated on a bench in quiet contemplation.
The purpose of softscape is to lend character to the landscaping, create an aura, ambience, and reflect the sensibilities of the inhabitants. The term softscape stands in contrast to hardscape, which represents inanimate objects of a landscape such as pavers, stones, rocks, planter boxes, arbors, water feature as well as structures of wood and natural stone and concrete, like retaining walls, patios, fences and decks, pergolas, and stairs.
In April 2016 it was announced that members of the Horsham District Council would vote on whether or not to scrap the fountain, which had cost more than £200,000 to maintain and repair since its installation. On 27 April, councillors voted overwhelmingly to remove the 20 year old water feature. In response to the Council's decision, sculptor Angela Conner said that a "concerted effort has been made to slowly have the sculpture literally disintegrate... I can't believe the lack of care that's taken place" adding that in her opinion "the council have used hugely expensive and inefficient people to run the thing at vast cost to the people of Horsham". However, Councillor Jonathan Chowen, cabinet member for leisure and culture, said that while it was "a sad moment", it had become too expensive "to continue to pour money into the fountain if we can't get the water feature to work [...] Just to leave the globe standing there is unfair to the art it was".

Plans were made to pedestrianise the area and to create a public focal point. An international design competition was held for a central water feature in the square, which was won by Dhruva Mistry. Construction commenced in 1992 and was completed in 1994, when it was officially opened by Diana, Princess of Wales.
Red- tailed hawk in Riverside Park A bird sanctuary exists in Riverside Park between 116th to 124th Streets. New York City Audubon estimates that birdwatchers have seen more than 177 bird species at the sanctuary since the 1980s. About has been reforested and over 3,000 individual plants have been placed in the sanctuary since 1997. More than 80 bird species have been seen at the Bird Drip, a man-made water feature near 120th Street.
When the Ostbahnhof (East Train Station) there was rebuilt, the Glaspalast-Brunnen had to make room and was moved to the nearby Weißenburger Platz. After dusk the fountains water feature is illuminated. Around the Glaspalast-Brunnen there are flowerbeds, which are planted several times a year. This circular green space is framed by a row of trees, under which benches are placed, and a ring-shaped street, which is partly a pedestrian zone.
The park has a small amphitheatre with a wooden performance area and seating for about 240 people. There is also a water feature and a gallery/cafe, iBakery Gallery Café, operated by Tung Wah Group of Hospitals. The Park is planted with Axonopus compressus for the grass, and planted Chukrasia tabularis, Michelia chapensis, Cinnamomum camphora, Bauhinia variegata, Ficus microcarpa and Bauhinia blakeana which is the floral emblem of Hong Kong and 400 different varieties.
There are sports facilities for Gloucester City Winget Cricket Club and Gloucester Spa Bowling Club, a table tennis table, skate park and multi-use sports pitch, a children's play area, a café, toilets, sealed footpaths and benches, a bandstand, flower beds, a memorial garden, a water feature and an aviary. Gloucester City parkrun takes place in the park every Saturday morning starting at 9am. There are a range of seasonal events including firework displays.
Rome is located at the confluence of the Etowah and the Oostanaula Rivers, whose merging forms the Coosa River. This gave it access to the waterways, the major transportation routes of the era. Because of this water feature, Rome developed as a regional trade center, based originally on King Cotton. As cotton plantations were developed in the area, Rome was an increasingly important market town, shipping the commodity downriver to other markets.
Regular Top Gear hosts Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond take over sportsman Steve Redgrave's garden, to dispense advice on creating a zero maintenance lawn, installing an impressive water feature and getting rid of unwanted plants. Naturally, disaster ensues. Top Ground Gear Force was then included as a page in the 2009 Big Book of Top Gear, giving advice to garden problems including concreting the garden over, petrol bombs and flash fires.
The renovated courtyard at Sundial St. Pete features a nearly two-story sundial sculpture, designed by renowned production designer René Lagler and crafted by Thomas Sign & Awning Co. in Pinellas County. Surrounding the sundial is a mosaic lagoon water feature. Six bronze dolphins are depicted playing in and around the feature. The dolphin sculptures were designed and crafted by St. Petersburg master sculptor Mark Aeling and his team at MGA Sculpture Studio.
Anderson had died in 1995 of AIDS. From 2003–2005, the reservoir was rebuilt as a covered basin. Three security cameras were installed in the park in April 2008 in an effort to combat certain types of criminal activity, namely vandalism, drug dealing, and public sex. In 2004, World Naked Bike Ride Seattle established a tradition of stopping briefly in the park, usually in the midsection near the shelter house and water feature.
Castalia Pond, otherwise known as the Castalia Duck Pond, is a spring-fed pond that never freezes. Castalia Pond plays host to many birds all year round, but, during winter, especially when Lake Erie freezes, many more waterfowl temporarily take up residence. The Blue Hole is another spring-fed water feature of Castalia. For many years it was open to the public, but since 1990 it has not been open to visitors.
Nature Company Stores were recognizable by their stone entranceway arch and water feature, customized to each location. All stores had extravagantly built custom cabinetry to showcase the maps, fossils, minerals and gems that were sold. The original store concept was designed by the San Francisco office of the award-winning retail architect Richard Altuna. Later stores in the chain were designed and rolled out by the San Francisco office of the firm NBBJ.
A water feature has been built on the site of Old Dock to commemorate its history. A portion of the dock wall is exposed in the basement of the new development, and can be viewed from the pavement above through a viewing window in the ground. The excavated site was opened to the public in May 2010. Tours of the Old Dock are currently operated by National Museums Liverpool on a weekly basis.
A plan for further park development was advanced by XieRichu, a designer in the City Building Department in Foshan at the end of the 20th century. It proposed expanding the developed park area to the nearby ravine and rural areas. The plan also called for an international meeting center, villas, hot springs, skiing area, gymnasium and amusement areas. The ravine was to serve as a water feature and an open public space.

The top-to-bottom refurbishment updated the facilities of the college to meet growing student needs while preserving the design and style Morse is known for. The centerpiece of the renovation project is its new underground recreational spaces, including a theater, music practice rooms, a weaving studio, a recording studio, a digital media room, exercise facilities, and spaces for dance and aerobics.
Excavations were focused on an area near Vespasian's Camp known as Blick Mead. The first finds discovered tools ranging as far back as the mesolithic. It also revealed that what had been thought to be a water feature was an ancient spring which might have been part of a seasonal lake. Excavations have revealed a metre (40 inch) thick layer of domestic waste that suggests the hill had a considerable population after the banks were constructed.
The owner wanted a water feature at the center of the Mellon Green to draw people into the green space through the use of amplified water noise and vibrant action. It could not have a front or back so that visitors could have direct access to the water. It could not have standing pools of water and had to fit comfortably into the surrounding landscape elements. The fountain's circular area measures twenty-nine feet in diameter.

Developments in Doha's West Bay district have seen an increase in the population density of the area with the construction of several high-rises. The cemetery is home to several working water features. Sylvan Waters, a water feature constructed within a naturally forming kettle pond, was remodeled and brought back into use during the Fall-Winter season of 2016 and 2017. In June 2000, American Civil War General Elisha G. Marshall's crypt was desecrated and vandalized, resulting in his remains being scattered throughout the surrounding area. Marshall's bodily remains were gathered and reinterred, however the whereabouts of the skull remains a mystery.
The pond has a sluice gate that could be opened to allow the water to flow over an artificial waterfall – the sort of water feature popular with landscape gardeners such as Lancelot "Capability" Brown who landscaped the grounds of Thorndon Hall in the 18th century, although the pond itself dates from the 13th century.Thorndon Country Park Another tributary flows west from Dunton Plotlands section of the Langdon Nature Reserve in Langdon Hills and another flows east from Upminster.
Former church building, now the National Trust museum Several historical buildings still stand today, and many are still in use. The first school building built in the township is still in use by the school. The 1910 church with contemporary lead light windows inspired by local history is a common tourist attraction. Local artist James Darling designed the local water feature, which celebrates the cycle of water through the Australian landscape and the region's widespread water irrigation.
Water feature in the park Town Center Park is used to stage many community events in Wilsonville. In May or June, Town Center Park is the site of the Wilsonville Festival of the Arts featuring local and regional artists in a variety of disciplines from pottery to photography. The festival began in 2000. During parts of July and into August the park is host to the Wilsonville Rotary Summer Concerts on Thursday nights, a free concert series.
The Heritage Garden is planted with Ghaf trees, the national tree of the United Arab Emirates, as well as sidr, acacias and date palms. A range of desert plants and shrubs planted in the Sanctuary Garden reflect Zayed's long connection with the desert, including desert cotton, henna, Caralluma, harmal and sewak, a plant long used by desert people as a toothbrush. The Garden also features a water feature representing a falaj (water channel), through which water flows constantly.
Originally named City Center Park, the area added a water feature and amphitheater to Memorial Park. In June 2006, the water features at Murase Plaza were temporarily closed due to unhealthy water. The city purchased of land across Wilsonville Road in November 2007 for $4.2 million in order to build an affordable senior housing complex. Most of this land is wetlands and has slopes that cannot be used for the complex, which will be added to Memorial Park.
Darling Harbour Water Feature was officially opened in 1988 it was designed by Robert Woodward , an architect and fountain designer. Robert Raymond Woodward (1923-2010) was born in Wentworthville in Sydney's western suburbs, the son of a public service accountant. Bob attended Granville Central Technical School, then Sydney Technical High School with a view to becoming a manual arts teacher. His career path was interrupted by the advent of World War II when Woodward joined the army.
Dromod () is a village in County Leitrim, Ireland. Dromod is a noted fishing village beside Bofin and Boderg, which are threaded by the River Shannon. Built along the River Shannon, this is a Tidy Towns winner with a modern harbour frequented by cruiser traffic. The Bog Oak water feature in the centre of the village, entitled 'The Weeping Tree', and was made by a local craftsman from a piece of bog oak which was found nearby.
Eastside City Park is a 6.75 acre (2.73 ha) urban park located in the Eastside district of Birmingham City Centre. Designed by architects Patel taylor with landscape architect Allain Provost, the park was opened to the public on 5 December 2012 at a cost of £11.75 million. Lining the frontage of Millennium Point, the park provides 14,300 square metres of landscaped green space, 310 trees, a canal water feature and a public square incorporating 21 jet fountains.
Piccadilly Gardens Aerial view of Piccadilly Gardens Piccadilly Gardens is a green space in Manchester city centre, England, between Market Street and the edge of the Northern Quarter. Piccadilly runs eastwards from the junction of Market Street with Mosley Street to the junction of London Road with Ducie Street; to the south are the gardens and paved areas. The area was reconfigured in 2002 with a water feature and concrete pavilion by Japanese architect Tadao Ando.
The new square is a single tier area, including the re-creation of an ancient border which once divided Nottingham. A new water feature dominates the west side of the Square, with jet fountains and waterfalls. The square was designed to host public events and since the opening in 2007 a variety of successful events have been held including concerts and parades, May Day and St George's Day celebrations, cycling events, and a regular local farmers' market.

The CFA was now satisfied with the Hemicycle, although it still had reservations about the trees in front of the cemetery gates. Weiss and Manfredi agreed to create a full-scale mock-up of the gates and show them to the CFA so that the issue could be resolved.
In common with other rivers of the area the brook was used to power watermills for grinding corn and, as the Industrial Revolution developed, to supply power for many mining related industries. The eighteenth century industrialist William Champion dammed the stream at Warmley to provide a water feature for the ornamental gardens of his home, Warmley House. This also acted as a reservoir for supplying water power to Champion's brass battery mills. The lake no longer survives.
Located indoors in Nashville, Tennessee under a glass dome at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, this musical fountain features an 85-foot high center geyser surrounded by 68 vertical and 28 arching jets, each with its own RGB LED fixture, plus a fog system and 5 articulating color theatrical lights from above. The sophisticated system was designed by water feature specialists Aquatic Creations, Inc., and plays original music shows choreographed by H2Oarts.com, both of California.
Construction began in 2001 with a new arts department wing that featured an auditorium and choir and band rooms. The main, three-story school building was constructed in an adjacent parking lot. In 2004 the student body moved to the new building, and the majority of the old building was torn down (one classroom remains for use as auto-tech classes). Construction was completed before the 2005-2006 school year with a new gym and water feature.
As at 26 May 2014, the Darling Harbour Woodward Water Feature is of state significance as it demonstrates aesthetic significance at the state level as a spectacular fountain and an outstanding work of modern movement design in water and stone located in an uninterrupted plane of the west Darling Harbour promenade. Completed in 1988, the fountain design was acknowledged as one of exemplary architectural design for its period, winning several awards including the Walter Burley Griffin Award of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects and the NSW Chapter Civic Design Award in 1991 and the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects National Civic Design Award in 1992. The Darling Harbour water feature is of state significance as it has special associations with its designer Robert Raymond Woodward AM (1923-2010), a notable architect and a World War II Veteran whose career as a fountain designer was of national and international prominence. Together with other iconic buildings at the Darling Harbour it is associated with the historically significant 1988 NSW Bicentennial celebrations.
The Montgomery Bell Tunnel is a man-made water feature in Cheatham County, Tennessee, which directs water through a tunnel at a narrow portion of an oxbow on the Harpeth River. Created in 1818 by Montgomery Bell, the long tunnel (state park signs at the tunnel give its length as 200 feet) was devised to power an iron-manufacturing operation known as Pattison Forge. The area is now protected as being a Tennessee state park, as well as a National Historic Landmark.
It comprises a base section of concreted basalt rocks concreted in as a dished receptacle from which the central fountain-stem rises. There are pipes present that suggest it was a low-pressure system relying on water cascading from the upper to lower bowl. Limited stonework is visible in the area suggesting that there were garden beds around the water feature. The power line appears to have run to this site from a route possibly passing the old Assay Lab.
Cathedral Gardens, Manchester Cathedral Gardens is an open space in Manchester city centre, in North West England. It is bounded by Victoria railway station to the north, Chetham's School of Music to the west, the perimeter of Manchester Cathedral and the Corn Exchange on Fennel Street to the south and Urbis to the east. Cathedral Gardens comprises wide areas of grassy plots, surrounded by paved walking areas and stylised concrete sitting areas. On the west side, is a short water feature.
Aquarium The Aquarium, a large round pool divided into 24 sections, is located at the end of the central avenue. The design consists of three concentric rings which are divided into 8 wedges, each being a home to a variety of acqautic flora. The "lagoon" is located a few metres further down from the Acquariam and is another ample water feature in which the plants are arranged informally. Other smaller ponds are located in the quatrains of the Linneian section.
The park contains a Victorian-era bandstand, the Goff cycle track, a children's playground, a spherical monument and water feature and an old painted iron bridge connecting the park to the grounds of the Court House. The park has been renovated and upgraded in recent years. The old caretaker's house has been carefully renovated and a small extension has been added with a cafe called the Park Lodge now occupying the structure. A baby playground area has also been built.
Designed by Niecon Developments in conjunction with Design By Innovation (DBI), The Oracle consists of a 50-storey and a 40-storey luxury residential tower above a gallery of boutiques, cafés and restaurants. The project includes a total of 505 apartments containing between one and three bedrooms. The residence has a number of high-speed lifts, a water feature, Zen garden and T'ai chi Lawn. Sporting facilities include a 25 m heated lap pool, indoor spa, steam room, sauna and gymnasium.
In December 1999, Lester Crown and his family agreed to sponsor a water feature in Millennium Park. Unlike other park feature sponsors, the Crowns acted independently of Millennium Park officials; they conducted independent surveys of water technologies, held their own informal design contest, and stayed active in the design and engineering of the project.Gilfoyle, pp. 278–280. The Crowns were open-minded about the choice of artist; wanting a modern work, they solicited proposals from a list of prospective artists and architects.
May is extremely angry, but Clarkson appears amused by the situation. May starts upon rebuilding the shed, and with the help of the Poles, the shed is quickly reinstated. He begins by labeling where each of the tools in the shed should go, alphabetically ordering the books on the bookshelf, and placing up pictures that he believes will remind Redgrave of his glory days. Meanwhile, Clarkson has the tricky job of removing a rockery in order to build his water feature.
Skatepark in Memorial Park Interactive water feature in Murase Plaza Memorial Park at is Wilsonville's largest park, and is also the oldest park. Located between the Willamette River (including of river frontage) and Wilsonville Road, Boeckman Creek flows through the park on its way to emptying into the Willamette. The park includes a trail system, athletic facilities, forested areas, picnic areas, parking, restrooms, and a skatepark among other features. Murase Plaza is in the northwest corner and includes an amphitheater and water features.
Drawing inspiration from Baltimore's past, the landscape architects chose to celebrate the city's mill history, installing a water feature that invokes weirs (dams) and mill races, culminating in a semi- circular fountain base. Designers introduced terraced grassy lawn panels and indigenous plantings. Tiered stone retaining walls of varying lengths are constructed of reclaimed Belgian block from the city's streets and respond to the natural site topography. Unique pyramidal bollards add visual interest to the site while providing security for the building.
Bay Lake Tower features its own pool, water feature play area, pool bar, and bocce court in the courtyard at the center of the horseshoe. The pool has a spiral waterside designed with neon light and glass brick accents to match the resort’s contemporary feel. Bay Lake Tower guests are permitted to use the Contemporary Resort’s facilities, but only those with a room in Bay Lake Tower may use its features. Access to the Bay Lake Tower pool area is key card controlled.
Hyde Park was intended to be a high-end neighborhood, but deed restrictions regulated improvement prices to ensure that the area remained attainable to more than only the wealthiest citizens. Additionally, the restrictions set a minimum lot size, limited business development, and regulated the placement of barns and outhouses. The longest continually operating water feature in Houston, the Dolphin Fountain, is located in Hyde Park. The fountain was installed in Lamar Park, a small neighborhood park, in 1946 and still runs today.
The Hotel has 185 rooms, 24 suites on the first six floors and 42 furnished service apartments called The Residence on the top two floors. Each of the hotel’s guestrooms are among the largest in Hyderabad, measuring at least 463 square feet. The lobby is designed with sparkling water feature and plants that surround a 35-foot tall white abstract sculpture. Park Hyatt Hyderabad is the first hotel in India to feature Hyatt’s residential-style meeting concept named The Manor.
The statue is located in the middle of a manmade water feature called Kanchanaphisek which is inside the school near the school gate. This was the place where the Royal Grandmother sat during the opening ceremony event of the ‘Somdet Phra Srinagarindra building’, which is behind the monument in July 1975. On the Kanchanaphisek land, she also planted a pikul tree near the monument, and Sattriwittaya 2 school use this sacred pikul flower as the flower symbol of their school.
The Splash sculpture outside the old National Football Museum in Preston On 31 July 2004, Finney unveiled the water feature sculpture The Splash, by sculptor Peter Hodgkinson, outside Deepdale stadium which at that time housed The National Football Museum. The sculpture was inspired by the 1956 Sports Photograph of the Year which shows Finney beating two Chelsea defenders at a waterlogged Stamford Bridge, which was taken on 25 August 1956 by photographer John Horton. The museum has moved to Manchester but the statue remains at Deepdale.
Phase II projects include the development of a seven-story, 240-room hotel, adjacent to the south side of Festival Hall; marquee additions to the East End Plaza, including a proposed arched, elevated overlook walkway and reflective water feature; a Welcome Pavilion in Polk Bros Park with 4,000 square feet for guest services and programmatic space; a seasonal ice rink within the footprint of the Polk Bros Park's fountain and plaza; and a short-term, north-side boat docking facility for use by recreational boaters seasonally.

It designed with a central compound for receiving new animals and starting their recuperation and acclimation into these larger habitats. The lower floor of the main compound houses tigers, and the upper floor is an education center. The animals in this area have indoor/outdoor enclosures with play structures, and heated areas for the winter.
The south front's notable features include triple arched windows giving an arcaded effect and accented with stone balconies with flower carved corbels that flank the facade on the upper level. The drainage system is also exposed and displays the Marland monogram and the date "1927." The water from the system drains through a sculptured carving of Pan into a water feature located in a niche in the side of the terrace wall. Giving access to the terrace is a semicircular arched glass and wrought iron double doorway.
Expo MRT station, situated adjacent to the Singapore Expo exhibition facility, sports a futuristic design by Foster and Partners. Bras Basah station has a water feature to allow sunlight from above the station to filter in. Early stages of the MRT's construction paid scant attention to station design, with an emphasis on functionality over aesthetics. This is particularly evident in the first few stages of the North South and East West lines that opened between 1987 and 1988 from Yio Chu Kang to Clementi.

In September 2000, the memorial was opened in the park to pay tribute to those soldiers from Oregon who died in the Korean War. During the summer months in 2000 and 2001 the park hosted a small farmer's market run by the chamber of commerce.
Urban open spaces in higher socioeconomic neighborhoods were also more likely to have trees that provided shade, a water feature (e.g. pond, lake and creek), walking and cycling paths, lighting, signage regarding dog access and signage restricting other activities as well. This difference in access has been proven, however, further study is needed to evaluate the exact health impacts. A study conducted in Australia provided insight into how there is a correlation between community development/community safety and natural open space within the community.
The company was renamed WET Design in 1985, the same year that Claire Kahn joined the company as Director of Design. Later, its name became simply WET from WET Design. The company also named WET Labs. Surface water feature at Fountain Place (2008) The company's first major project came in 1986 when it collaborated with the firm of I. M. Pei as well as landscape architects Dan Kiley and Peter Ker Walker to create the waterscape of Fountain Place (at Allied Bank Tower) in Dallas, Texas.
For example, a sizable Rizzoli Bookstore was located opposite the elevators behind the central water feature, but it had closed by the year 2000. Other stores which have moved out include Stoddard's (fine cutlery and personal care tools) and Williams Sonoma (kitchenware and food ingredients). , almost all of the stores sell fashionable clothing, shoes, or accessories. Additional aesthetic features can be found along the interior colonnade where the Grand Staircase leads to a five-story glass atrium and the retail concourse, culminating in an elegant two-story water feature cascading beneath a celestial mural. Contemporary landscaping enriches the scene with seasonal flora, trees, and deep blue hand-blown glass work. An extension of the lobby, the retail concourse features striking glass storefronts, internationally award-winning carpet trimmed with black marble, and a floor cutout creating a visual connection to the colonnade below.
The park has facilities for paddle boating on the pond. It recently has added ' Bumping Cars ' to its list of amusements . Primary viewing attractions for children is a jet-fighter model Valiant MIG 21 the first supersonic aircraft for the Indian Air Force capable of travelling at Mach 2 ( with engines removed and fixed ) and a large concrete-made map of India ( states as before year 2000). There is a water feature in the form of a lake where small rowing and paddle boats are allowed.
The town was located near the mouths of Dorchester Creek and Eagle's Creek (Named for Richard Eagle, who bought the land where a road crossed the creek around 1734), where they flowed into the Ashley. To the local Native Americans, this region, especially the land between the two mouths, was referred to as Boo-shoo-ee. It is unknown what exactly the name meant, although the -ee suffix probably referred to water, given that nearly all other names ending in -ee referred to a water feature.
Barragan told Kahn that he should not add one leaf, nor plant, not one flower, nor dirt, instead, make it a plaza with a single water feature. The resulting space is considered the most impressive element of the entire design. According to A. Perez, the concrete was made with volcanic ash relying on the basis of ancient Roman concrete making techniques, and as a result gives off a warm, pinkish glow. This "pozzolanic" concrete was then only vibrated as needed structurally, leaving a lightly textured wall face.
Bear Branch Nature Center is a nature center in Carroll County, Maryland near Westminster. It features interpretive exhibits about local plants and animals, an outdoor water feature and play area, a Discovery Room for children, an observation beehive, live animals including an eagle, hawks, owls, snakes, salamanders, turtles, frogs, and toads, a planetarium and observatory. The center is a facility of Carroll County Recreation & Parks. The nature center is adjacent to Hashawha Environmental Center, a residential facility that is also operated by Carroll County Recreation & Parks.
In 1876, Lord Dartmouth leased 22.7 ha of estate land at Cooper's Hill to the West Bromwich Improvements Commissioners for the creation of Dartmouth Park. Initially the land was rented at a nominal £1 per year for 99 years. Following a design competition that attracted seven entries, the original park scheme was set out by John Maclean of Donnington, Leicestershire, and included a cricket pitch, ornamental water feature and grand carriageway. Dartmouth Park was opened to the public on 3 June 1878 at a cost of £2,500.
In 2017, the building was rebranded to One Eleven Congress, and the lobby and outdoor plaza were renovated. The lower level of the lobby was transformed into a food hall called "Fareground", which features a number of Austin-based food vendors, along with a bar. The outdoor plaza was revamped to include astroturf grassy hills, new seating, and native landscaping. The transformation also included a new water feature consisting of a 12 sculptural stainless steel poles, ranging from 20 feet to 30 feet tall.
Exterior view of Tschifflik Water feature in Tshifflik Tschifflik (; )– is a summer residence in Zweibrücken, constructed in 1715–1716 by exiled Polish King Stanisław Leszczyński according to a design by Jonas Erikson Sundahl. Tschifflik is an outstanding example of Baroque Landscape architecture. After being exiled from Poland, Leszczyński became the Count Palatine of Zweibrücken as a Prince exercising the head of state's authority on behalf of Charles XII in 1714. He continued in that role until 1719, a year after the Swedish monarch's death.
The town has two principal parks and one parkland estate known as Panteg House (home of Panteg Cricket Club, Panteg Football Club, Panteg House Bowls Club and Pontypool Boules team). Griffithstown Park near Sunnybank Road contains an adventure playground and basketball courts, but is mostly grass. Panteg Park on Cwrdy Road (known as "The Fish Pond Park" due to its water feature) is smaller with elaborate flower gardens, bowling green, tennis courts and golf putting greens. Panteg House is home to a cricket pitch and football pitch.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of , of which is land and is water. A main water feature of Pocatello is the Portneuf River, which runs through the southeast side of the city. Since 1992, the city and the Portneuf Greenway Foundation have worked to create a system of trails that follow the river and connect to other trails in the greater Portneuf Valley. Currently, 15+ miles of trails have been constructed with 27 planned total miles.
The buildings were located near the centre of the fortress and they had their own bath buildings and a range of store rooms around the outside. In June 2007, the outdoor Dee Lidvall Discovery Garden was opened. The garden includes an educational amphitheater, habitat, sensory and xeriscape gardens, two gazebos, a patio, and a water feature with natural filtration. Another feature which is not to be forgotten is just as special as the previous; the stone ‘tsukabai’ or water bowl. It is more than 100 years old and is used to "provide running water needed in the purification ritual that occurs before the tea ceremony".
Sauvie Island, in the U.S. state of Oregon, originally Wapato Island or Wappatoo Island, is the largest island along the Columbia River, at , and one of the largest river islands in the United States. It lies approximately ten miles northwest of downtown Portland, between the Columbia River to the east, the Multnomah Channel to the west, and the Willamette River to the south. A large portion of the island is designated as the Sauvie Island Wildlife Area. Sturgeon Lake, in the north central part of the island, is the most prominent water feature.
The town of Franklin lies in the northern part of Delaware County, in an area of wooded hills, streams, ponds, historic homes, commercial buildings, and numerous winding roads. Its surface is hilly upland made of shaley loam atop hardpan, while the valleys consist of gravelly loam and alluvium. Ouleout Creek, which flows into the Susquehanna River, is the main surface water feature. The waterway was important to village development, not only for water supply but as transportation arteries for travel as well as shipment of lumber and goods to market.
The Musical Fountain Sentosa Musical Fountain, also known as the Magical Fountain of Sentosa, or as the Musical Fountain by locals, was a former musical fountain water feature and entertainment venue on Sentosa Island in Singapore. It was located on a now-demolished portion of the Imbiah Lookout entertainment zone on the island. The Musical Fountain was officially opened on 11 June 1982, and ceased operations 25 years later on 26 March 2007, and was demolished that same year. The venue arena could accommodate more than 5000 people.

After the station, it passes under the south side of the World Forestry Center's main building and turns 4° northward (267°) and continues for its longest straight stretch of . At the point it passes under SW Skyline Road north of the Sylvan Bridge, it turns slightly southward (253°) and— later—goes under the Finley- Sunset Hills building and water feature. For the remaining ), it turns right in a long gradual arc exactly paralleling Sunset Hwy. The arc continues at the same rate after the west portals, and is due west (270°) about past the portals.
An official opening by Queen Elizabeth II took place on 25 July 1985. In the centre's early years the atria were adorned by luxuriant planting and water features, with shoppers descending on escalators from Princes Street through a canopy of trees to the underground plaza. Major refurbishment in the early 1990s coincided with a change of name to Waverley Shopping Centre. A prominent and popular aspect of the mall introduced at this time was the large water feature which dominated the main atrium and incorporated the 11 ft high Herons Dream sculpture.
Plum Creek and Plum Creek Pond form an important water-feature in the south-central area. The primary, wide, gravel roads within the state forest—labeled as Trails 1, 2, and 3 -- allow limited vehicle traffic (starting from the main entrance, where Trail 1 begins). These forest roads are flanked by thick woods (mixed deciduous trees and evergreens) and provide entrances (for hikers) into some forest-trails. There are small parking areas along these roads, as well as several marked small meadows with blind hunting structures, including one for handicapped hunters.
Waterfalls along the Bruce Trail There are many waterfalls along the Bruce trail, where streams or rivers flow over the Niagara Escarpment. Niagara Falls, by far the most famous water feature in the area, can be reached by a side trail of the Bruce Trail proper. There is also a wide range of plant and wildlife along the trail, including slow-growing centuries-old coniferous trees right on the limestone lip of the escarpment itself. The Cheltenham Badlands is a natural feature exposed by human activity, namely farming.
Externally the roof is formed of copper sheeting and internally of timber panelling. The entrance verandah is both physically and visually an extension of the main roof form, the lowest point of which comes to rest on a white angled column. Here the roof ends with an elegant copper storm water feature like a cubist gargoyle delivering roof water to a circular drain edged by brick pavers and filled with large smooth river stones. External Inspection reveals: painted timber framed windows to clerestory, painted timber framed entrance doors and windows.
Water feature in the formal gardens The property on which the gardens would eventually be constructed were purchased in 1917 as a fishing camp by Walter Bellingrath, president of the local Coca-Cola bottling plant. Bellingrath bought the property to balance his work-life schedule. The transformation from the "Belle Camp" fishing post into what is now Bellingrath Gardens and Home is largely thanks to Bessie Mae Morse Bellingrath, who had married Walter in 1906. Mrs. Bellingrath began developing the gardens with architect George Bigelow Rogers in 1927.
In November 2013, a $2.6 million renovation began, resulting in the park's closure for nearly a year. City officials, aware of gentrification of the surrounding neighborhood, used community input to avoid ruining the park's role as a gathering place favored by African Americans. The upgraded park now includes a new playground and interactive water feature, enhanced accessibility and lighting, and new barbecue and picnic areas. Dawson Park also includes double-sided medallions designed by Isaka Shamsud-Din, featuring traditional African patterns on one side and depictions of the neighborhood on the opposite side.
Also in 2000, the park began hosting the annual Wilsonville Celebration Days. The park was completed in the Spring of 2005 when the final phase of construction finished after adding several features, including an interactive water play area, the first in the city. The water feature had been delayed due to a water shortage in the city before the completion of a new water treatment plant. This last phase cost around $1.2 million and was paid for through funds generated by an urban renewal district and built by Hoffman Construction.

They can be defined as any interior or exterior landscape or architectural element whose primary purpose is to house, display, or propagate a particular species or variety of aquatic plant. The primary focus is on plants, but they will sometimes also house ornamental fish, in which case the feature will be a fish pond. Water gardening is gardening that is concerned with growing plants adapted to pools and ponds.
Lawns surrounded by densely planted perimeter beds are designed to evoke a formal feel of past European style gardens with boxwood hedges enclosing an array of perennials. A trellis and "pergola" along the eastern edge offer public seating and a vantage point that overlooks both greenspace and historic buildings. The "canal fountain," a shallow water feature with fountain jets, reflects a period approximately a century ago when a canal connected the harbor to now defunct industrial operations. During the warmer months, the North End Parks host free fitness classes and other events.
WET, also known as WET Design, is a water feature design firm based in Los Angeles, California. Founded in 1983 by former Disney Imagineers Mark Fuller, Melanie Simon, and Alan Robinson, the company has designed over two hundred fountains and water features using water, fire, ice, fog, and lights. It is known for creating The Dubai Fountain, the world's largest performing fountain, along with the 8-acre (3.2 ha) Fountains of Bellagio. It has designed features in over 20 countries around the world, in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

These are linked by a pathway and water feature in Portland stone which has a water sculpture representing the bars of Mandela's prison.
The Sengan-en residence was built by in 1658. The name is derived from a supposed resemblance to an eponymous feature on Long Hu Shan. In 1736 added a water feature and moso bamboo, obtained from China via the Ryūkyū Kingdom. During the Bakumatsu and Meiji periods, the residence housed visiting dignitaries including Katsu Kaishū, Willem Huyssen van Kattendijke, and Pompe van Meerdervoort in 1858, Harry Smith Parkes in 1866, Tsesarevich Nicholas Alexandrovich and Prince George of Greece in 1891, and the Duke of Connaught and Strathearn in 1906, and Edward VIII in 1922.
The Central Library resides in a park and features an open and light-filled floor plan, spacious reading decks, a public computer lab, and indoor fountains including a spiral ramp water feature. The Dion Neutra-designed facility opened in 1975 and was expanded by Huntington Beach architects Anthony and Langford in 1994. The Central library has seven meeting rooms available for rental to help support the library system. Local business and residents have held special events such as seminars, classes, weddings, auditions, jazz concerts and film festivals at the central location.
Below the tapestry of the Great Hall is a removable division which opens on to the Members' Hall, which has a water feature at its centre. This is an area restricted to security-classified occupants of the building and special visitors. Directly ahead of the Members' Hall is the Ministerial Wing, housing the office suites of the Prime Minister and government Ministers. The Members' Hall has access to the House of Representatives and the Senate buildings to the left and right of the main entrance to the halls respectively.
The quiet, blue meditation pool is encircled with cypress trees and towering walls that are covered in thin plane of water that cascades almost 90 degrees down to the sunken blue water feature. The sound of the water on the walls evokes thoughts of a gentle rain shower. The aerating pool features multiple illuminated spray fountains under a canopy of large oak trees. The main attraction of the Water Gardens is the active pool which has water cascading 38 feet (11 m) down terraces and steps into a small pool at the bottom.
The New Topographical Dictionary of Ancient Rome (ed. L. Richardson) (Baltimore 1992), pp. 349-350, makes it clear that the Septizodium was only an elaborate water feature, without rooms or roof; "the upper storeys can have been accessible only by ladders, and there is no sign of a building of any sort behind this façade." Also located in the north campus are three of the oldest buildings at the Dudley campus, 1881–1885, Conant Library and Observatory, Academy Hall, and Conant Hall. The north campus is also home to the newest building on campus, which is an academic building that has distinctive design elements including a three-story lobby with a water feature; four team-based classrooms; several breakout areas for studying, gathering, or group work; and a patio/garden that bridges the academic building with Davis Hall and serves as the primary entrance for students.
Water feature at the Park The fountain area is surrounded by flags representing the host countries of each Summer Olympics preceding the 1996 games and eight light towers reminiscent of classical Greek marker columns. There are several pieces of sculpture scattered through the park, including Gateway of Dreams, a monument honoring Pierre de Coubertin, the father of the modern Olympic movement. A small amphitheatre is located at the southern end of the park. The park has shows at the fountain all 365 days of the year, four times daily.
The John Madejski Garden, opened in 2005 The central garden was redesigned by Kim Wilkie and opened as the John Madejski Garden on 5 July 2005. The design is a subtle blend of the traditional and modern: the layout is formal; there is an elliptical water feature lined in stone with steps around the edge which may be drained to use the area for receptions, gatherings or exhibition purposes. This is in front of the bronze doors leading to the refreshment rooms. A central path flanked by lawns leads to the sculpture gallery.
The north, east and west sides have herbaceous borders along the museum walls with paths in front which continues along the south façade. In the two corners by the north façade there is planted an American Sweetgum tree. The southern, eastern and western edges of the lawns have glass planters which contain orange and lemon trees in summer, which are replaced by bay trees in winter. At night both the planters and water feature may be illuminated, and the surrounding façades lit to reveal details normally in shadow.
There is an emphasis on shades of green rather than colour planting, with the use of hornbeam, lime and yew. The garden has two sculptures and a small water feature. One of the sculptures is by Dorothy Brook, and a bronze statue of Confucius, located in the centre 'room', was donated by The Confucian Academy in 2010 to mark the official launch of the Lau China Institute. A series of relief plaques of the continents by Walter Crane are installed on a small brick building now used for storing bicycles.
Recent work by community groups has resulted in developments including a new nature reserve, and the village green which contains a central water feature. The village has two state primary schools, Burley and Woodhead Primary School, Burley Oaks Primary School, and Ghyll Royd School & Pre-School, a private primary and nursery school for girls and boys aged 2–11. The school was established in 1889 by Augustus Wooldridge Godby. Formerly an all boys school, it became a co-educational school in 1999 when it moved location to Greystone Manor.
Arts and Crafts-influenced main facade Alkaff Mansion's key design features include broad stairways and European- style fountains in front of its main entrance. The outdoor area is adorned with a water feature, sundials and gazebos, while the mansion is surrounded by a white stone balustrade featuring English motifs. The mansion looks bigger than it is, possibly due to the turrets on either side of its façade. The ground floor consists of a porch that extends into an elongated and narrow room, where the Alkaffs had their meals in the past.
Gardener and facilities Coordinator Bruce Swee designed the kiosk's water feature to honor long-time Interbay gardeners Anne and Mac Magruder, who planted the grape arbor. The "Gathering Bell" at the edge of the garden's plaza was given to Airgas Nor Pac as thanks for its financial support of cystic fibrosis cure research. Airgas wished to share this with the community and decided to donate it to the Interbay P-Patch in 2006. Bruce Swee designed the Interbay P-Patch flag donated to the garden by John and Vickie Bjorkman in 2005.
Map of Forbury Gardens today A grand re-opening event took place on 14 May 2005 to mark the completion of a one-year restoration project. The Heritage Lottery Fund awarded Reading Borough Council £2.13 million to restore the historic features of the Forbury Gardens and improve safety and access for visitors. The scheme was developed in consultation with residents and interested local groups. Work in the gardens themselves has included the restoration of the Maiwand Lion, the bandstand, water feature and the garden's walls, fencing and gateways.
The roller coaster features a elevator lift, enclosed in a huge tower structure; a 116° beyond vertical drop; inversions, including an Immelman-like loop, as well as an inversion unique to the park consisting of two consecutive heart line rolls in opposite directions; a water feature; and a tunnel underground. It is the tallest roller coaster in the state and the longest ride in the park. The ride cars accommodate 12 passengers (3 rows of 4), and the duration of the ride lasts approximately two and a half minutes.
Professor W. J. Watson outlined two schools of thought on this topic. He favoured the idea that Abar came from the Pictish and Welsh for "river mouth" and that Loch Abar meant the confluence of the Lochy and Nevis as they flowed into Loch Linnhe, in Gaelic. He also conceded that abar might come from the Gaelic , meaning "mud" or "swampy place". Thus Lochaber could be the "loch of swamps", a historic water feature that existed on the Blàr Mòr, where the area High School and Health Centre are situated today.
The public square is surrounded by the original Grade II listed buildings from the old technical school, which was home to such luminaries as Peter Stringfellow, and a dynamic new building fronting onto West Street. These buildings house 8 individual bars, restaurants, a 4 star hotel and frequently plays host to live music. The square is marked with an illuminated water feature and a tree lined square. Benches specially designed for the square have been cast by an artist out of bronze and will provide resting places under the trees around the central square.
The redeveloped Father Collins Park was officially opened by the Lord Mayor of Dublin in May 2009 and is Ireland's first "sustainable park" with five 50KW wind turbines protruding from the central linear water feature and providing power for public lighting, maintenance depots and football club changing rooms. The park also features a skate-park, 2 playgrounds, 6 playing pitches, picnic areas with outdoor chess/draughts boards, natural woodlands and a peripheral running/cycling track. The site of the monument and its surrounding park was originally a parking lot. Three eight-foot tall, bronze statues of firefighters, which were designed and created by American sculptor Lawrence Nowlan, are the centerpiece of the monument. A waterfall feature was designed by Bill Michell and Hugh Carson, both Fire Center employees. Mr. Carson, a former stone mason, spent two summers building the water feature, with daily assistance from the Boise Smokejumpers, who mixed cement and placed rocks in place that they had gathered from a local quarry.

The main entrance contains a lighted water feature called "Lumia" created by WET, which syncs water bursts to music. Maya Lin, designer of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., created an reclaimed silver sculpture of the Colorado River called Silver River which is suspended behind Aria's hotel registration desk. A result of its design, Aria is the largest hotel in the world to have received LEED Gold certification.
There was no seating within the arcs, which precludes a theatre, and the best guess of the archaeologists was that the twelve alcoves may have contained images of the gods, with the temple being dedicated to the twelve primary gods of the Roman pantheon. Or, alternatively, the oval shape may have represented the shape of the known Roman world, but there is no supporting evidence for this.Mason (2002a), p. 44. The completed building measured by , and had an oval courtyard with a water feature at its centre, by , surrounded by 12 "wedge-shaped" rooms.
Pendleton Strait () is a strait between Rabot and Lavoisier Islands, in the Biscoe Islands. The French Antarctic Expedition, in accordance with Charcot's conception of this water feature, applied the name Pendleton Bay in January 1909. The British Graham Land Expedition (BGLE) under Rymill, 1934–37, recognizing that it is really a strait, renamed it Pendleton Strait. Named by Charcot for Captain Benjamin Pendleton, Yankee sealer of Stonington, CT. Captain Pendleton was commodore of the little fleet which included the sloop Hero under Captain Nathaniel B. Palmer who, at Pendleton's direction, explored this area in January 1821.
This woreda almost surrounds Lake Hawassa on all sides. Another water feature is Lake Chelaka which has vanished into the neighboring wetlands due to deforestation. Matha Strait is a strait lying between Adelaide Island and the south end of the Biscoe Islands. The strait takes its name from "Matha Bay", the name originally applied by Jean-Baptiste Charcot, leader of the French Antarctic Expedition, 1908–10, to the water feature as he conceived it. The British Graham Land Expedition under John Rymill, 1934–37, recognizing that it is really a strait rather than a bay, changed the name to Matha Strait. The name is for Lieutenant André Matha, second-in-command of the French Antarctic Expedition, 1903–05, also under Charcot.
222x222pxDesigned and built in the city of Toronto, Roy Thomson Hall was not designed to blend into its surroundings in order to be recognized as a landmark and home to the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. Characteristic of Erickson's other designs with additions of water and other natural elements, this project includes a water feature of pond and rocks adjacent the building. Due to its placement below-grade, it can go unnoticed to pedestrians walking by. The interior of the building was designed by Erickson's life partner Francisco Kipacz, the only Canadian published as "Designer of the Year" by the American Press Institute.
At the Gansevoort Street end (which runs north-south), the stub over Gansevoort Street is named the Tiffany and Co. Foundation Overlook and was dedicated in July 2012; the foundation was a major supporter of the park. The route then passes under The Standard, High Line hotel and through a passage at 14th Street. At 14th Street, the High Line splits into two sides at different elevations; the Diller-Von Furstenberg Water Feature (opened in 2010) is on the lower side, and a sundeck is on the upper side. The route passes under the Chelsea Market, a food hall, at 15th Street.

Charter Oak is located at (34.101308, -117.857656). Charter Oak is primarily flat ground, though the South Hills of Glendora form much of the northern border, and there is a small valley in the southeast quadrant, with Walnut Creek flowing in the bottom. The other major water feature in Charter Oak is the San Dimas Wash, a concrete- lined flood control channel which was formerly the San Dimas River, a tributary of the San Gabriel River. Both Walnut Creek and San Dimas wash flow from east-northeast toward west-southwest, the wash in Glendora and the creek in Covina.
Stepping stones or stepstones are sets of stones arranged to form a simple bridge or causeway that allows a pedestrian to cross a natural watercourse, such as a river; or a water feature in a garden where water is allowed to flow between stone steps. Unlike other bridges, they have no spans. Although their origin is unknown, stepping stones, along with log bridges, are likely to have been one of the earliest forms of crossing inland bodies of water devised by humans. In traditional Japanese gardens, the term "iso-watari" refers to stepping stone pathways that lead across shallow parts of a pond.
Other notable buildings include the Lyceum, the Gladstone Theatre (which hosts local amateur dramatic productions), Hesketh Hall (which housed the local branch of the Royal British Legion until 2013, when it was converted into 13 flats) and the "Bridge Inn" public house. The village contains a Christ Church, a United Reformed Church, and opposite is a small primary school. Church Drive Primary School is open to people living outside the village and residents. There is a war memorial by Goscombe John in the village centre in memory of soldiers that died in World War I. Port Sunlight has a water feature.
The Library Garden with the Royal Library as the backdrop The Royal Library Garden (Danish: Det Kongelige Biblioteks Have), often referred to simply as the Library Garden, is a small, somewhat hidden garden between the Royal Library, the Tøjhus Museum, ChristianIV's Supply Depot and Christiansborg Palace on Slotsholmen in central Copenhagen, Denmark. It has a reputation for being one of the most tranquil spots in the city centre. The garden has a shallow water basin with a water feature in the middle, blooming flower beds and large shady trees. Highland Park encompasses the northern region of the neighborhood. Trinity Walk shopping centre Regeneration projects in Wakefield included the Trinity Walk retail development to the north east of the city centre, including department stores, a supermarket and shop units. Work began in autumn 2007 but was halted in 2009, restarted in 2010 and opened in 2011. The central square at the Bull Ring has been redesigned with a water feature and the Ridings Shopping Centre refurbished. Wakefield Westgate Station goods yard and land on Westgate and Balne Lane have been developed to create retail, residential and commercial space including new offices, a multi-storey carpark serving the station, and a hotel.

White Rock Lake, a reservoir built at the beginning of the 20th century, is Dallas's other significant water feature. In the late 1990s over half the square was sold for the development of the Westin Hotel. and in the period between 1997 and 2000 the remaining area of the square was totally redeveloped with a much simpler plan and granitic gravel was introduced to contrast with more traditional bluestone paving. A long linear water feature by the glass artist Denise Sullivan and a water wall known as the John Mockridge Fountain were installed. A cast bronze statue of a small dog created by Melbourne artist Pamela Irving and titled Larry La Trobe was located in the north-west corner in 1992.
The terminal's design focuses on creating a calm and easy travel experience for passengers but also honours aspects of the region through the display of various art by commissioned Canadian artists. A soothing water feature representing the meeting of the region's three rivers runs throughout the terminal. Copper and limestone finishes are visible throughout, representative of the capital's Parliament Buildings. The Bellevue- Staten Building was designed by Herman Baumann and constructed in 1929 using an architectural blend of Spanish Colonial and Art Deco styles. 1923 saw Cleveland Cascade spring into life, conceived and assisted by noted landscape architect, Howard Gilkey. This was a three-tiered water feature incorporating multiple waterfalls tumbling sequentially into twenty large collection basins and a pool at the bottom, flanked by twin stairs descending from Merritt Avenue in Cleveland Heights to Lakeshore Avenue. Colored lights in rainbow sequence lit the waterfall at night. In 1925, the "Necklace of Lights" was turned on.
Flatboats were introduced to carry guests along the river, and past a water feature that included jets which were choreographed to music. When the expansion was christened, water samples from more than 1,700 rivers throughout the world (including every registered river in the United States) were poured into the Delta River. The Old Hickory Steak House, built to resemble an antebellum-style mansion, was also added. Yulman was designed and constructed with the ability to expand in the future should demand dictate it, specifically with 5,000—10,000 seats in the east sideline and north end zone (Glazer/Westfeldt side and Wilson end zone, respectively). Prior to the 2016 season, Athletic Director Troy Dannen announced the addition of a sculpture of the program's classic "Angry Wave" to the top of the scoreboard. Installed during the 2017 season and located above the student section and produced by Mardi Gras World, the sculpture doubles as a water feature, though details of that aspect were not announced. The Angry Wave--made of fiberglass and steel--weighs and is tall and wide.
Most of Norway Dock was re-excavated to form a water feature surrounded by residential development, and another ornamental feature, the Albion Channel, was created along the eastern side of the former Albion Dock, linking Canada and Surrey Waters. Leisure facilities and a number of light industrial plants were also built, notably a new printing works for Associated Newspapers, the publisher of the London Evening Standard and the Daily Mail. In July 1988, the Surrey Quays shopping centre was opened as the centrepiece of the redevelopment (and rebranding) of the area. The nearby London Underground station was renamed as Surrey Quays a few months later.
In 1998 Beach used profits from tours and album sales as capital to launch a concept that combined his love for water and art. Bluworld of Water, started by Beach and his brother Sean Drummond, has grown into the largest commercial and residential indoor water feature company in the world. Beach served as the creative force behind the brand until 2005, and has been referred to as the world's foremost authority on water art and design. The Great Irish Famine He has completed a number of major public art commissions including 14 Pieces on North Terrace, in Adelaide and An Gorta Mor, the Australian Monument to the Great Irish Famine (1999), at Hyde Park Barracks, Sydney, both with Angela Valamanesh. The Irish Famine memorial (one of a number around the world) is incorporated into the wall surrounding the Barracks and "ironically, stands on the site of the original kitchens" there.
The mill was derelict by 1937, but at that time retained the cap frame. By 2004, the mill and associated outbuildings had been converted to residential accommodation. A new boat shaped cap was fitted to the mill tower. Graham Cottrell and wife Suzanne Cottrell owned the mill between 2011 and 2016, during that time the fourth mill stone (two still in place, one incorporated into the village sign) was returned to the site and mounted as a water feature in the garden, additionally a modern single door on the first floor was replaced with a pair of doors matching the oldest photos of the mill that are available.

The same year, WET created one of the largest water shows in the world with the completion of Aquanura in the Efteling theme park, in the Netherlands. WET created Luminous, a water wall spanning over 3 stories tall for the W Hotel Guangzhou’s entrance, debuting with the hotel’s opening in April 2013.

A longer version of the piece was performed at Peterborough Cathedral and the Derngate.

Some fountains, such as the Ontario Science Centre FUNtain Hydraulophone and the flame fountain in Nathan Philips Square, are designed to run year-round by virtue of heated water, whereas others require that the water be drained and that all apertures be covered to keep rainwater from entering the fountain and freezing inside. Fountains and other water features are often drained and sealed up so that water inside does not freeze or cause breakage of the pipes in the fountain. Fish ponds require several additional steps to ensure that the fish are well taken care of. A properly maintained water feature containing fish can operate even in freezing temperatures.
Rock sculpture from the 'Lingering Garden' of Suzhou, China Both Chinese and Japanese garden design traditionally is intended to evoke the natural landscape of mountains and rivers. However, the intended viewpoint of the gardens differs: Chinese gardens were intended to be viewed from within the garden and are intended as a setting for everyday life. Japanese gardens, with a few exceptions, were intended to be viewed from within the house, somewhat like a diorama. Moreover, Chinese gardens often included a water feature, while Japanese gardens, set in a wetter climate, would often get by with the suggestion of water (such as sand or pebbles raked into a wave pattern).
The new design modified the Hemicycle by restoring a low water feature to the central niche and removing the grass circle, replacing it with a circular reflecting pool and paved plaza. The center of the plaza was slightly lowered, and very low terraces led from the edge of the pool to the edge of the plaza. Four niches were still pierced to create stairs leading up to the terrace, but now an elevator was added as well to make the memorial handicap-accessible. The tall illuminated pylons were removed, and in their place were 108 horizontal thick glass panels forming an arc in the back of the Hemicycle's terrace.
Linn of Dee In Scotland and northern England a Linn is a geographical water feature, a watercourse that has cut through a shelf of hard rock creating a narrow (usually), steep-sided crevice (fracture) though which it runs. Typically one named after a river or area can have application even for more than one such feature. The photograph of the Linn of Dee illustrates the attributes of a typical 'Linn'. Louis Kahn informally consulted Barragán on the space between the buildings of the Salk Institute in La Jolla, California. According to the documents, Kahn's original idea was to place a garden between the buildings; however, Barragán suggested that an open plaza, with only a water feature in between, would better reflect the spirit of the location. This area, possibly designed with Barragán's advice in mind, is arguably the most impressive aspect of the building complex. He was a highly recognized consultor by many Mexican and International architects on landscape design, as he had a particular ability to envision the outdoor spaces and their relation to their interior paradigms and the natural context characteristics.
The most prominent features of the exterior are a monumental Corinthian composite tetrastyle portico at the front, recessed wrought iron balconies on the second level, and an elaborate Ionic porte-cochère to one side. The main staircase in the entrance hall The interior features 17 primary rooms, with a double staircase leading from the entrance hall to the second level. A formal garden, surrounded by a high ornamental wall, originally covered the entire rear grounds of the property, which extends through the city block to South Court Street. These grounds now feature gardens, a large pergola, a swimming pool in the shape of the state, a guest house, a stone grotto water feature, and tennis courts.
The only buildings that would have remained in the City Center site were the Prange's store, Mead Public Library and Trinity Lutheran Church. Most of the other buildings would have been demolished by the city including the First Wisconsin Sheboygan Bank (now the U.S. Bank). In 1992, the process of removing Plaza 8 from the block between the Mead Public Library and Prange's across the street was completed, though due to the water feature and the Prange's frontage, the restored North 8th Street was a compressed two-lane road through the library block. From 1996 until 1998, the current library building underwent an expansion which changed the building's front from North 8th Street to Wisconsin Avenue.

WET teamed with architects Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in 1991 for a water feature at the Gas Company Tower in Los Angeles, California. WET designed a series of transparent in-floor elements with water displays on the underside, on which the public can walk and which stretched from the elevator lobby to the building's exterior garden. From 1994 through 1997, WET completed many projects throughout Asia including the Singapore features of Millenia Walk, by Pritzker Architectural Prize Laureate Philip Johnson, the Ritz Carlton Hotel, and Bugis Junction. Additional projects included the Jewelry Trade Center in Bangkok, Pattaya Festival Center in the city of Pattaya, and again with the firm of I.M. Pei, the Anggana Danamon Bank in Jakarta.
Outside the main entrance to the theatre stands a statue called The Playmakers while at the south end of the theatre complex entrance are the terraced Theatre Gardens that are used by local office workers and students. In 2007, the gardens were transformed through a sponsorship and are now known as the Sappi Theatre Gardens. Costing R1.8 million it has been upgraded and fenced with reed-shaped green fencing, paved walkways, trees, a circular podium, lightning and a water feature that trickles down from the theatre entrance and 24-hour surveillance. Also outside the theatre is a 'Walk of Fame' where over the years, famous performers handprints and names have been inscribed into the concrete pavement.

In 2004, the previously abandoned American Tobacco Campus (ATC) in Durham was reopened as a complex of offices, shops, and restaurants. Developed by Capitol Broadcasting and reopened as the American Tobacco Historic District, phase 1 consisted of the Fowler, Crowe, Strickland, Reed, and Washington Buildings, and included the construction of two new parking garages and a waterfall feature through the center of the campus designed by Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart of Atlanta, Georgia and constructed by W. P. Law, Inc. based in Lexington, South Carolina. Phase 2, consisting of the remaining buildings and expansion of the water feature at the north end of the site, was under construction as of late 2006.
However, it does not include a central water feature like its Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, and Hong Kong Disneyland counterparts; the utilidors running directly below the attraction prevented the installation of water pipes necessary for the water features to operate. Also for this version, as well as its Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland counterparts, Timothy's hot air balloon had red and white stripes, rather than rainbow stripes for the Disneyland version. In 1997, the attraction's queue was covered to provide shade and decorated with topiaries. For nostalgic visitors, a replica of Magic Kingdom's 1971 version currently exists at Tokyo Disneyland, being the only park to still feature 10 flying elephants and Timothy spinning on a disco ball.
Howdon was an industrial settlement on the north bank of the River Tyne estuary, to the north of Howdon Pans (a Tyne water feature) and to the north-east of Willington Quay. In the mid-nineteenth century, it consisted of Old Howdon Pit situated on what is now the northern toll area of the Tyne Tunnel; and to the east, Howdon Bank Top, nowadays given the appellation East Howdon. A separate area, High Howdon was built after the Second World War, as the consequence of a drive for improved, low-cost housing for working-class families. This housing was mainly in the public sector, being owned and maintained by the local council.
Other features include pedaloes, boats, several restaurants and cafés, dancing, live music, rides through the woods in a horse-drawn carriage, a theatre, organised excursions and a large 'water feature' with geese, ducks (including a couple of Mandarins), a large family of terrapins and some beautiful black swans. Elsewhere in the complex is an enclosure with peacocks and hens, including some rather exotic white ones. There is another sanatorium, 'The Rainbow', (Ukrainian: Санаторій «Радужний»), within the same grounds as Myrhorod Kurort but with different owners. This is, in the main, frequented by wealthy Ukrainians and Russians who prefer what they regard as the 'added security' of a sanatorium that advertises itself as 'élite'.
Maybeck also designed the domed Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco as part of the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition, and for the same fair he carried out his vision of the lumberman's lodge, "House of Hoo Hoo", made of little more than rough-barked tree trunks arranged in delicate harmony. The Palace of Fine Arts was seen as the embodiment of Maybeck's elaboration of how Roman architecture could fit within a California context. Maybeck said that the popular success of the Palace was due to the absence of a roof connecting the rotunda to the art gallery building, along with the absence of windows in the gallery walls and the presence near the rotunda of trees, flowers and a water feature.
Baroque Park with its cascading water feature in the background In 1850, Frederick VII had a landscaped garden laid out to the north-west of the castle with winding paths, canals and artificial lakes. On Louise's Island, named after his third wife, a small wooden manor house was built in the Norwegian style, from which the king could go out fishing and enjoy uninterrupted breaks with his wife. To the east of the castle, the Baroque Park with its waterfalls was originally created by the court gardener Johan Cornelius Krieger for Frederick IV in the early 1720s. Its carefully planned symmetrical features were designed to surround the parks centrepiece, a fountain from which water cascaded down the terraces to the lake below.
On 14 March 2009, the market was officially reopened following a £3 million refurbishment, which involved the installation of new paving, seating, lighting, and a water feature. The centrepiece is an artwork by Simon Watkinson, named Hyperscope; the stainless steel column incorporates lighting effects and represents the town's coal mining heritage and history as a wartime submarine base. The aim of the refurbishment is to attract people to the market area when the market is closed, and to bring further investment to the town. However, the project has received criticism; following approval of the proposals in June 2007, concern was raised by Councillor Alisdair Gibbs-Barton, who said that the market place was beginning to resemble a park, and that more trade should be being encouraged.
Bowling Park in East Bowling is the site of the annual Bradford Carnival celebrating local African and Caribbean culture. Bradford City Park, now home to the Bradford Festival which includes the Mela, is a public space in the heart of Bradford which contains the largest man-made water feature in any UK city—a mirror pool featuring more than 100 fountains, including the tallest in any UK city at 30 m (100 ft). When the mirror pool is drained City Park is capable of holding events such as carnivals, markets, theatre productions, screenings and community festivals. Work started on the £24 million project in February 2010 and City Park officially opened in March 2012, with thousands of people turning out for the grand opening event.
An underground bus loop to replace the "Grassy Knoll" beside the SUB did not receive funding by Translink. As a result, the administration has cancelled the bus loop project, although the rest of the renovations of the University Boulevard Neighbourhood are still under consideration. In June 2015, the new Student Union Building—called the AMS Student Nest or simply the "Nest"—opened to students, largely replacing and extending the old SUB in functionality. The Nest, built for $107million, is much larger than its predecessor, and has numerous amenities including a performance centre, an art exhibition space, a large ballroom, a three-storey climbing wall, radio broadcast facilities, a daycare, and a 10,740 square foot rooftop garden and public space with a water feature and outdoor seating.
Harold's Cross has a number of pubs, shops, cafes, an active credit union, and other businesses. Harold's Cross Park, a small and well-maintained city park, occupies the site of the original village green, and contains a playground, water feature and coffee kiosk. Historically a number of large houses were constructed, mostly with the appendage of ‘Mount’ to reflect the parish's elevation, and their names are remembered today but no longer as houses: Mount Argus (church and monastery), Mount Jerome (cemetery), Greenmount House (the Hospice), Mount Harold (the Catholic Church) and Mount Drummond and Mount Tallant (housing developments).Our Lady of the Rosary Parish The memorial cross at Harold's Cross park was sculpted by local sculptor and stonemason Joseph Courtney.
Roselands Shopping Centre was the third fully enclosed shopping precinct in Australia, opened in October 1965 (predated by Monaro Mall [March 1963] in Canberra and Miranda Fair [March 1964] in Sydney). Older open-air shopping precincts in Australia included Chermside Drive-in Shopping Centre (May 1957) in Brisbane, Top Ryde Drive-in Shopping Centre (November 1957) in Sydney, Chadstone Shopping Centre [October 1960] in Melbourne and Warringah Mall (April 1963) in Sydney. Roselands was built on the site of a golf course. It boasted a large Grace Bros Department Store (now Myer), a single movie cinema, an indoor rainfall water feature (the 'raindrop fountain'), tennis courts and the first food court in Australia (Four Corners, demolished in 2000, remade as the Raindrop Food Court in December 2000).

The Southridge Sports and Events Complex helps provide park service for the adjacent Grange neighborhoods. Part of the path in the Rose Garden portion of the Demonstration Garden in October 2013 This park features plenty of recreation, including a playground structure, basketball courts, a soccer/softball field, tennis courts, a roller hockey rink, a water feature, and 8/10 mile walk through a demonstration garden. Additionally, there are two picnic shelters for hosting public events and 79 parking spaces (not including the neighboring Kennewick branch of Mid-Columbia Libraries).
The plan would require the approval of the Advisory Neighborhood Commission, which voted to protest the liquor licenses unless the company reached an agreement with all the tenant associations in the Watergate cooperative. A year later, the company said its design team, led by the architectural firm BBGM, had completed a plan to increase the number of luxury hotel rooms to 251 to 348, renovate the lobby to add a bar and lounge, add a restaurant with some outdoor seating, and add a rooftop bar with a small water feature. Euro Capital also said it would seek a hotel management company to continue to operate the Watergate Hotel as an independent hotel. Construction on the new interior elements is planned to start in March 2014.
Her art piece titled The Rivers Monument has been installed at the A-B Connector at Vancouver International Airport, since January 2015. The Rivers Monument consists of two 8.5 m-tall blue glass poles, similar to totem poles on the Northwest Coast, enclosed by a water feature and an oval wooden bench at the base. Displaying indigenous designs inside the glass, the two poles represent the Columbia River and the Fraser River, revealing their respective histories concerning how European colonizers’ construction of dams greatly reduced the salmon population and obliterated thousands of indigenous pictographs. Marianne Nicolson has expressed optimism about the YVR for selecting her "very political" artwork for the connector, "[pushing] their own boundaries slightly" and raising awareness about indigenous peoples and their histories.
There have already been numerous clashes between the PRC and the Philippines, PRC and Vietnam, and between other nations over "foreign" fishing vessels in Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZs), and the media regularly report the arrest of Chinese fishermen. In 1984, Brunei established an exclusive fishing zone encompassing Louisa Reef in the southeastern Spratly Islands. (Archived from the original on 2005-01-07). Additionally, pages 48 and 51 of "The Brunei-Malaysia Dispute over Territorial and Maritime Claims in International Law" by R. Haller-Trost, Clive Schofield, and Martin Pratt, published by the International Boundaries Research Unit , University of Durham, UK, points out that this is a "territorial dispute" between Brunei and other claimants over the ownership of one above-water feature – Louisa Reef.
The architect Pierre Contant d'Ivry worked on the château for de Talaru, building new service quarters beyond the secondary route near the village,Auditorium, farm and stables, vegetable garden with rock pool and to the estate added an orangery, a belvédère, an oval bosquet for "Jeu de l'oie" with a temple of love at its centreSome remains survive. and a cascatelle. He demolished the wall of the courtyard along the moat and put an ironwork gate with two lampholders in front of the bridge. He also modernised the interior decor, creating a little salon gros near the vestibule and the grand salon d'angle. In the 1780s, a water feature was added, with an island bordered by bald cypresses from Louisiana at its centre - it is traditionally attributed to the painter and garden designer Hubert Robert.
The Darling Harbour Water Feature outside the Sydney Exhibition Centre completed in 1988 was one of Woodward's most important works. It was a beautiful piece of design with its interplay of water, light and surface texture. It is both an irresistibly interactive water element and beautiful spiral sculptural form. Woodward was the recipient of many awards and honours in his lifetime, including the NSW Institute of Architect's Civic Design Award for the El Alamein Fountain in 1964, and in 1991 ACT Chapter RAIA Canberra Medallion, for New Parliament House, the 1991 NSW Chapter Civic Design Merit Award for Darling Harbour, the 1991 RAIA Walter Burley Griffin Award for Darling Harbour, the 1991 RAIA Civic Design Award for Darling Harbour, and the 1992 AILA National Awards in Landscape Architecture Civic Design Project Award.
The main library took up the second floor, with the children's room on the first floor, and services including circulation, administration and the headquarters for the Eastern Shores Library System in an exposed basement which was landscaped on a slope which came down from Plaza 8's water feature. The Carnegie building was then used for the city's health department and county human services until the 90s, when the John Michael Kohler Arts Center acquired the building and disassembled the interior, retaining the facade as a modern 'ruin', with the former building footprint containing gardens. In April 1987, the city had planned to put downtown including Plaza 8, under one roof. Developer John Livesey proposed a $100 million enclosed shopping and office complex, to be called City Center.
Clarkson and May 'pretend' to attack Hammond with shovels Rear of Jeremy Clarkson's jacket The Top Gear team of Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond decided, for Sport Relief, to resurrect the show Ground Force, and provide a garden makeover to the garden of one of Britain's sporting legends, namely Sir Steve Redgrave. Helping them was a team of Poles, and on hand to provide advice on Sir Steve's tastes was Ann Redgrave, who was erroneously addressed and referred to as "Lady Ann" rather than the proper "Lady Redgrave". As the team's only 'country bumpkin', Hammond decided to designate himself as the team leader. However, his plan to build a 'river of gravel' failed to impress Clarkson and May, who wanted to include a water feature and a shed, respectively.
War of 1812 re-enactment, Stoney Creek, Ontario, an annual event (June) at Battlefield House Battle of Stoney Creek Monument Stoney Creek was first inhabited by Canadian First Nations and later explored by French-Canadian fur traders before the area was settled by Loyalists fleeing the American Revolution in the late 1700s. The name 'Stoney Creek' is borrowed from the area's central water feature, 'the Stoney Creek' which runs from the Devil's Punchbowl, in the Niagara Escarpment, to Lake Ontario. It is often taken for granted the 'Stoney Creek' is a description of the creek's rockiness although some evidence suggests the name comes from an early settler Edmund Stoney. On 6 June 1813 the settlement garnered some notability during the War of 1812 as the site of the eponymous battle.
Opened in 1905 to help boost ridership on the West Penn Railways streetcar line, the park was originally a picnic grove and landscaped wooded leisure area like many early Trolley Parks of the time period. Built on the edge of a small artificial lake, boating and swimming were one of the first amusements offered at the park in its earliest days. Much like Kennywood in nearby Pittsburgh, the park began to acquire rides and build amusements in the years following its founding. A large concrete swimming pool replaced the artificial lake as the park's main water feature sometime in the 1930s, and the pool continued to be in operation until its age and changing safety regulations for public pools caused the park to drain it permanently in 2012.
At one time this lade continued through the "new" bridge NS809904, where the A9 crosses the burn, forming a water feature in what became a public park downstream of the bridge, but this has now been removed, as it presented a potential risk of drowning. Traces are still visible. However, a substantial weir at NS808904, between the old and new bridges, diverted water into a left bank weir, which also passed through the park, on its northern edge and ran some distance, past Millhall, joined the Pelstream Burn at NS810923, and then to the Kerse Mills NS813924, and from there to rejoin the Bannock Burn at NS815925, near Muirton Farm NS814926, lost beneath a superstore. Beyond that point there is no scope for extracting further energy as the Bannock is now at close to the lever of the River Forth.
Pilkington Canal (also called Broadwater Canal) - used to connect to Woolwich Arsenal, now remains as a water feature Most of the land area of Thamesmead previously formed about of the old Royal Arsenal site that extended over Plumstead Marshes and Erith Marshes. There is some evidence of prehistoric human occupation of the area: flints, animal bones and charcoal were found in bore holes around Western and Central Way in 1997 by the Museum of London Archaeological Service (MOLAS).Museum of London Archaeological Service site summaries 1997 , accessed 27 May 2008 In Roman times, the river level was significantly lower, and work by MOLAS in 1997 around Summerton Way revealed evidence of field ditches and pottery and quernstones from Germany dating from around the 3rd or 4th century. After the Roman era, river levels rose again and the area reverted to marshland.
Miracle Mile Automated Musical Fountain, Las Vegas While all pre- programmed musical fountain shows involve computerized show control systems, the use of computer technology to spontaneously "self-choreograph" a fountain to random musical input is novel. Possibly the most sophisticated full-scale implementations in use are at the Miracle Mile Shops in Las Vegas, Washington Park (Cincinnati, Ohio), and Washington Harbour in the District of Columbia, using a system developed by H2Oarts.com. Unlike conventional musical fountains, which must be manually pre-programmed moment-to-moment, the H2Oarts' Musical Water Feature Automation System uses the venue's own live background music to animate the water and lights in real time. Beyond basic light organ-style responses to loudness, bass, and treble, H2Oarts employs rhythm, dynamic range, transient (acoustics), and other subtler components of music to control water and light.
Parks such as Robertson Park in Orange, Machattie Park in Bathurst, Queen Elizabeth Park in Lithgow, Belmore Park in Goulburn, Victoria Park in Dubbo and Robertson Park in Mudgee along with Cook Park are examples which represent a class within the region and NSW at large demonstrating principle characteristics congruent with each other. Such characteristics of the class include location within or close to the town centre, extensive exotic mature plantings, and central visual element such as rotunda/performance space, water feature/s, and fountain/memorial sculpture. The more formal Victorian parks of Machattie and Cook Parks contain the characteristic elements of the caretaker's cottage, fernery, propagating house, duck ponds, conservatory and highly decorative rotunda and fountain. Cook Park is highly intact in the NSW rural Victorian park typology with contributing Victorian elements, including a high integrity of remaining trees, monuments and built fabric and path layouts.
Beverley Brook creates a water feature used by deer, smaller animals and water grasses and some water lilies in Richmond Park (where it is followed by the Tamsin Trail and Beverley Walk). Then for the next upstream of Richmond Park, the Beverley Brook forms the historic South West London boundary, now the boundary between the London Borough of Merton and the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. For the first south of Richmond Park, the six lane A3 trunk road from London to Portsmouth runs always within of the stream, crossing it three times. Although there is no point where the stream itself can be seen when driving along the road, the bridge parapets are visible and, for , where the road runs along the edge of Wimbledon Common, the trees flanking the stream can be glimpsed across playing fields, with the lightly managed "natural" woodland of the common rising beyond.
There was Wavera in Handsworth – perhaps a water feature like a pond or weir; an assart or patch of farmland taken from the royal forest, called Ruworth; Duddesrudding; an area of land between Petulf Greene and the main road, apparently adjacent to the donation at Handsworth; a puteum – generally a well but possibly a pit Notre Dame University Latin Dictionary and Grammar Aid - puteus \- at West Bromwich; a watermill at Grete - by Greets Green, the other side of West Bromwich. William also granted the monks tithes of his own household's production – their breadmaking, hunting, mills, bread, ale, and ferculorum – of the very platters of food cooked in his kitchens table.; Notre Dame University Latin Dictionary and Grammar Aid – ferculum and wood for burning and building. A very valuable grant to the monks was pasture in all seasons and for whatever animals they wished in the manor of West Bromwich.
From the mid-1920s to the time of the 1936 fire the complex was rented and used by a motor haulage firm, Warne & Bicknell; two of their lorries and a steam wagon were destroyed in the fire. The Cozens-Hardys bought the site back in 1943, when it had recently been reduced on the northern side as part of road-widening to ease the dangerous bend by the brewery. From 1992 various development plans were projected by successive owners, culminating in the restoration of the deteriorating buildings and the conversion to domestic housing of all the parts of the maltings and brewery, except the kilns, by D. and M. Hickling Properties Ltd from 2013 to 2015. The channel from the river to the tunnel for the former waterwheel can still be seen in the yard by the malthouse west wall as an ornamental water feature.

Later additions to the park include: the Horace Wells Monument in 1875, sculpted by Truman Howe Bartlett; the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch, designed by George Keller in 1886 to commemorate those who fought in the American Civil War; the Corning Fountain in 1899, with sculpture by J. Massey Rhind; the 1914 carousel in 1974 (with a Wurlitzer #153 Band Organ providing the music); and the performance pavilion in 1995. As a result of seasonal flooding and pollution, and especially after damage from the great flood of 1936, the Park River was buried in underground conduits, and a main feature of the park was lost. A pond was later added to return a water feature to the park. Since 2017, the Bushnell Park Pond has been home to Horace, a territorial Great Blue Heron, lovingly named by the local 06103 community to commemorate both Horace Wells, and Horace Bushnell.
The Marks family purchased Helms Bakery in the early 1970s and since then, they have completed a rare feat in Los Angeles - successful transformation and adaptive reuse of a historic structure. Covering the 11 acres, the many improvements include restoring original neon signs on the roofs, creating two historic murals, installing two large photovoltaic solar arrays, restoring the Zigzag Moderne detailing, reinventing retail, home furnishings and eateries, as well as creating a home for top-flight media and arts related companies. To honor the history of the bakery, a small museum was installed inside one of the retail stores. The closure of Helms Avenue to through traffic created a new pedestrian plaza giving the neighborhood a much deserved community space, Helms Walk. The closed portion of Helms Avenue has been developed with trees, lawn areas, a water feature, free Wi-Fi, music and basalt pavers creating a new found space – a meeting place to sip coffee, chat with an old friend or simply “remember the day”.
Aroona Dam is a reservoir in the Australian state of South Australia located in the gazetted locality of Leigh Creek about west of the locality’s town centre. The dam consists of a concrete gravity dam of a height of and a width of which holds back a lake of a volume of and which extends for a distance about to the east of the dam wall. The origin of its name is not mentioned in sources. However, the word ‘Aroona’ is listed in the official government place name gazetteer as the name of some geographic features either adjoining the dam or located within its extent. A mountain, Mount Aroona, is located in the ridge on the north side of the dam’s lake. A former water feature is now located “under the waters of the Aroona Dam” is named as the Aroona Waterhole as well as having the Adnyamathanha name of Arrunha Awi.
The plans called for a community park at the site along with an indoor recreation center. The park plans proposed building sports fields, a dog park, tennis and basketball courts, paths, play equipment, and garden space among other items. The city took input from over 100 residents during the planning process. Total costs for the entire project were estimated at between $44 million and $51 million, with construction to occur in four phases. Plans for 53rd Avenue Park were completed by December 2006, but construction did not begin as the city examined how to pay for the park's construction. Funding for the first phase began to take shape in 2007 when the state gave Hillsboro a $500,000 grant from lottery funds for the initial construction.
Untermyer Park and Gardens is a historic city public park, located in Yonkers, New York in Westchester County, just north of New York City. The park is a remnant of Samuel J. Untermyer's estate "Greystone". Situated on the steep land arising from the eastern bank of the Hudson River to the bluff on top of it, the park features a Walled Garden inspired by ancient IndoPersian gardens, a small Grecian-style open-air amphitheater with two facing sphynxes supported by tall Ionic columns, a classical pavilion, stoa and loggias, a rock-and- water feature called the "The Temple of Love", as well as a long staircase from the Walled Garden to an Overlook with views of the river and the Palisades. The gardens were developed beginning in 1916 by Untermyer, a prominent lawyer and civic leader, and were designed by architect and landscape designer William W. Bosworth, with fountains by Charles Wellford Leavitt, and sculptures by Paul Manship and other artists.

Sunset over a marsh at Cardinal Cove on the Patuxent River Tidal wetlands of the Chesapeake Bay, the largest estuary in the United States and the largest water feature in Maryland Most of the state's waterways are part of the Chesapeake Bay watershed, with the exceptions of a tiny portion of extreme western Garrett County (drained by the Youghiogheny River as part of the watershed of the Mississippi River), the eastern half of Worcester County (which drains into Maryland's Atlantic coastal bays), and a small portion of the state's northeast corner (which drains into the Delaware River watershed). So prominent is the Chesapeake in Maryland's geography and economic life that there has been periodic agitation to change the state's official nickname to the "Bay State", a nickname that has been used by Massachusetts for decades. The highest point in Maryland, with an elevation of , is Hoye Crest on Backbone Mountain, in the southwest corner of Garrett County, near the border with West Virginia, and near the headwaters of the North Branch of the Potomac River.
Directly above and supplying the water for the fountain is the catena d'acqua or chain of water, a water feature (gioco d'acqua) that can be seen in other 16th- century gardens (such as the Villa Farnese and Villa d'Este); this rill of small basins allows the water to ripple down to arrive at the fountain between the sculpted crayfish claws, a reference to Cardinal Gambero's heraldic device. In the meantime, stairs flanking the catena d'acqua lead up to the next terrace. Gardens of the Villa Lante On the next upper terrace are yet further fountains and grottos and two small casini called the Houses of the Muses, the sides of which frame the large Fountain of the Deluge that terminates the main axis of the garden. A roughened texture has been given to the sides of these small buildings to harmonise with the natural rough rock of the Fountain, and water conduits set in their eaves (and operated by a remote switch) project jets of water to complete a visual ensemble known as the 'theatre of the waters'.
The mall is divided into five zones based on the concept of the five elements of Nature, namely Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth. Each zone is designed with a distinctive interior architectural theme that responds to the element, public art such as large scale sculptures are also employed to enhance the respective theme.
