Those models cannot play 1080i or 1080p video content (e.g., HD camera video). The 3rd and 4th generation Apple TV support 1080p video content.

The compilation includes remasters of the first two Command & Conquer games originally developed by Westwood Studios, Command & Conquer (1995) and Red Alert (1996), along with their expansion packs and content that had been exclusive to console ports. It features 4k graphics, remastered music, upscaled full motion video cinematic footage, enhanced sidebar UI, modern online features, and an unlockable gallery of unused and "making of" content. The source code for both Command & Conquer and Red Alert (with the exception of the art and sound) was released on June 2, 2020 and the Remastered Collection has built-in modding support.

Supported PS2 games run via software emulation (upscaled to high definition) on PS4 systems instead of having been remastered.

The Gibson ES-359 is a semi-hollow body guitar which is manufactured in Gibson's Memphis Custom Shop in Memphis Tennessee . The guitar is an upscaled version of the ES-339, featuring gold hardware, a multi-ply binding on the front and back of the body, and block pearloid inlays on the fretboard. The Gibson ES-359 closely related to the ES-355, although the body is smaller than the ES-355, closer to the size of a Les Paul model. A compatible cable that connects to other devices' USB ports is included with the unit. The new multi-use connector allows video and sound output with the same connector using an optional composite or component AV cable. As with previous models, Sony also offers a cradle (PSP-N340) for charging, video out, and USB data transfer on the PSP Go. This model adds support for Bluetooth connectivity, which enables the playing of games using a Sixaxis or DualShock 3 controller. With a production cycle longer than two years, the graphics were not merely upscaled to higher resolutions and feature updated models and textures. Kitase commented that he wanted to excite new and returning players and added more depth to do so and opened up the possibility of further remasters based on reception. Many views could not simply be reframed to 16:9 because that would reveal characters waiting for their cues off-screen, so the remastering team performed a lot of redrawing and additions to the visuals.

For the PlayStation Portable, games had to be on the market for at least 9 months with 250,000 copies or more sold. Currently, a PlayStation 3 game must be on the market for 10 months and sell at least 500,000 copies to meet the Greatest Hits criteria. PS one Classics were games that were released originally on the PlayStation and have been re-released on the PlayStation Store for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable. Classics HD are compilations of PlayStation 2 games that have been remastered for the PlayStation 3 on a single disc with additional features such as upscaled graphics, PlayStation Move support, 3D support and PlayStation Network trophies.

It also enabled Nomura to start experimenting with higher facial detail for enemies such as behemoths. When the game was renamed and changed platforms, the team chose the Luminous Engine as the main game engine. The game's real-time graphics used 5,000 polygons per-frame, bringing its visual quality close to modern CGI cutscenes and to a level that would have been impossible for the previous generation's hardware. Many of the original production team, including Whedon himself, and fans have criticized the HD remaster for poor transferring of standard definition to high definition, the poor transition from 4:3 aspect ratio to 16:9 aspect ratio, improper lighting, lack of lens filtering and poorly redone special effects that were either upscaled or redone in HD not true to the original. For season 1, each episode up to episode 8 had to be cropped, leaving everything in frame looking zoomed. Season 1, episode 7 has a few scenes fixed so they are using more of the frame. In other instances the 16:9 aspect ratio shows goofs in frame like crew members or filming equipment on screen.

The purpose of this as of 2008, was to provide high-definition versions of ABC1 shows when available (Prior to this, the broadcaster relied on regulation exemptions that allowed it to meet a high-definition quota using content upscaled from standard definition). Nissan unveiled the seventh generation Sentra in North America in August 2012 for the 2013 model year. It is the third region to get the B17 Sylphy model after China and Thailand. The new Sentra is completely redesigned inside and out, with styling upscaled to look more similar to Nissan's other sedans, the Altima and Maxima including LED taillights, LED accents in the headlights, and a new navigation and electronics system. It is longer than the previous generation Sentra by 2.3in, with a 0.6in longer wheelbase, but 150 lb lighter than its predecessor. The new MRA8DE 1.8-liter 16-valve DOHC inline- four is offered for better fuel economy than the previous model, ratings are 30 city/39 highway.

Designed as Samolyot (Russian: "aircraft") 103, the Tu-2 was based on earlier ANT-58, ANT-59 and ANT-60 light bomber prototypes. Though only a handful of games available have the native resolution of 1080p, all games on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 can be upscaled up to this resolution. Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 games are labeled with the output resolution on the back of their packaging, although on Xbox 360 this indicates the resolution it will upscale to, not the native resolution of the game. Generally, PC games are only limited by the display's resolution size. Drivers are capable of supporting very high resolutions, depending on the chipset of the video card. Many game engines support resolutions of 5760×1080 or 5760×1200 (typically achieved with three 1080p displays in a multi-monitor setup) and nearly all will display 1080p at minimum.

Any programmes still made in standard-definition are upscaled on the channel and it is intended that the vast majority of the channel's output will be in high- definition in due course. RTÉ One in SD will continue to be available on Virgin Media Ireland until more of their customers have upgraded to HD. Sky Ireland launched the channel on 14 December 2015, as part of a new long-term partnership with RTÉ, however the channel hasn't been made available on Sky UK's Northern Ireland EPG. In response to queries, RTÉ currently advises Northern Ireland Sky subscribers to contact Sky on the matter whereas Sky replies that it's an issue for RTÉ as to whether they make their HD channel available.

At the time of Wipeout Fusions release in 2001, critics recognised the fact that techno music was an integral part of the series. Wipeout Pure and Wipeout Pulse both received very positive reviews upon release, with critics praising their visual effects, attention to detail, and track design. Wipeout HD, along with its Fury expansion pack, also received very positive reviews, with many critics agreeing that it offered the best visual representation of any Wipeout game due to it being upscaled in full 1080p and rendered in 60 frames per second. It was nominated for the "Outstanding Achievement in Sound Design" category in the 12th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards and was also nominated under the racing category for the 28th Golden Joystick Awards.

UTV HD, a simulcast of UTV in high-definition, was launched on Virgin Media on 5 October 2010. On 5 March 2012, UTV Media announced it had signed new network arrangements for the provision of Channel 3 programmes and services with ITV plc. Included in the agreement is a deal which ensured the distribution of UTV HD on Freeview when the digital switchover took place on 24 October 2012 and on Sky and Freesat on 4 November 2013. Originally UTV's acquisition and presentation infrastructure was SD only; all HD content was line-fed to UTV in Belfast from Technicolor Network Services' transmission facility at Chiswick Park, with UTV's presentation and local content being upscaled and switched into the transmission chain for UTV HD using a simple A/B switcher.

Resources are also being shared with Fox News Channel in New York City, including use of its Studio F for studio segments, as well as an outdoor plaza setup on Sixth Avenue (Fox Square) with a scaled football field and an audience. A new insert graphics package was produced by Drive Studio, inspired by Times Square to reflect its New York City-based studio programming (unlike previous TNF broadcasters, Fox utilizes the same in-game presentation and graphics as it does during all other NFL broadcasts). For 2019, Fox announced that it would produce all of its games in 1080p upscaled to 4K, with Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) high-dynamic range color, beginning with its season premiere September 26, 2019. The telecasts were distributed via the Fox Sports app, Prime Video, and to participating television providers.

Similarly to Halo 5: Guardians, the game employs a dynamic scaling system to maintain a consistent frame rate, under which the resolution is automatically decreased and upscaled back to 1080p during more intensive scenes. Ferguson stated that the Xbox One S has an improved CPU and GPU which allows for more consistent resolution on Gears of War 4, compared to the original Xbox One. During its E3 2016 press conference, Microsoft announced that Gears of War 4 would be released on PC exclusively for Windows 10 Windows Store. It is an Xbox Play Anywhere game, with digital cross-buys and cross-platform multiplayer available between Windows 10 and Xbox versions. In August 2016, Game of Thrones composer Ramin Djawadi confirmed he would be involved as the main creator of Gear of War 4s soundtrack.

Technicolor Netherlands, the company responsible for the technical realisation of the broadcasts for all the NPOs television and radio channels, began the summer 2008 test broadcast of NPO 1 HD in 720p and by doing so following the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) recommendations for HD broadcasting. During the test period an additional 1080i version of the channel was made available to the cable companies because of quality complaints from viewers. On July 4, 2009 the NPO started their permanent HD service when all three channels, NPO 1, NPO 2, and NPO 3, began simulcasting in 1080i high-definition. Most programming in the early stages is upscaled as in time more programs will become available in native HD. On October 15, 2009 RTL Nederland started simulcasting their RTL 7 and RTL 8 channels in 1080i high-definition.

David Sirlin, producer of Backbone's Capcom Classics Collection, suggested a number of projects to Capcom during the compilation's development, including redrawn versions of Puzzle Fighter and Street Fighter II. While it is unknown whether these suggestions influenced Capcom to develop both games, Sirlin took the helm of development when both were approved. In an interview with TeamXbox, Capcom's senior director of strategic planning and research Christian Svensson revealed that fans on the company's forums had asked for a high definition Street Fighter game, an "overwhelming request". HD Remix is a heavily modified port of Super Street Fighter II X for Matching Service, a Dreamcast version of Super Turbo released only in Japan that featured an online versus mode.

Unlike the other departments of the BBC, the BBC World Service was funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office, more commonly known as the Foreign Office or the FCO, is the British government department responsible for promoting the interests of the United Kingdom abroad. BBC Pacific Quay in Glasgow, which was opened in 2007 In 2006, BBC HD launched as an experimental service, and became official in December 2007. The channel broadcast HD simulcasts of programmes on BBC One, BBC Two, BBC Three and BBC Four as well as repeats of some older programmes in HD. In 2010, an HD simulcast of BBC One launched: BBC One HD. The channel uses HD versions of BBC One's schedule and uses upscaled versions of programmes not currently produced in HD. The BBC HD channel closed in March 2013 and was replaced by BBC2 HD in the same month.

The rear of the device features a penta-camera setup with 10x hybrid zoom consisting of a 108 MP primary lens, a 20 MP ultrawide lens, a 12 MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, a 5 MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and a 2 MP dedicated macro lens. Photos taken with the 5 MP telephoto lens are upscaled to 8 MP. Autofocus is present on all cameras except the macro lens, and OIS is present on the primary and 5x zoom lenses. The macro lens is capable of focusing at 2–10 cm and is used for closeup photos, but the ultrawide lens is used for macro shots in videos. If the subject is closer than 2 cm, the phone will use both cameras. The CC9 Pro can record 4K video at 30fps, 1080p video at 30, 60, 120 or 240fps or ultra slow-motion 720p video at 960fps.

Xbox One S additionally supports 2160p (4K resolution) video output, and high dynamic range (HDR) color using HDR10 (with a future update to add Dolby Vision HDR support for streaming video). 4K video can be played from supported streaming services and Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc, however, since Xbox One S is a first-generation Ultra HD Blu-ray player, it cannot output the dynamic HDR10+ or Dolby Vision metadata from a disc encoded with either or both formats (such discs play only in standard HDR10.) Games are upscaled from 1080p resolution, and are not rendered at 4K. The GPU on Xbox One S has a higher clock speed and ESRAM bandwidth than the original model, which can provide some performance improvements on games with dynamic resolution scaling or uncapped frame rates. The console can monitor its internal temperature and adjust accordingly to prevent overheating; alongside increasing fan speed, additional measures can be taken, including forcing the hardware to run in a lower power state—a feature that was not present on Xbox 360.

It was released on DVD as a two-disc special edition in the United Kingdom by BBC Worldwide on 10 April 2006 and in the United States by Warner Home Video on 6 June 2006. This DVD is also available as part of the limited edition 2007 release of The Complete Davros Collection box set along with Destiny of the Daleks, Resurrection of the Daleks, Revelation of the Daleks and Remembrance of the Daleks. A 1080i upscaled remaster of the story was released on Blu-ray in the United Kingdom by BBC Studios as part of the 'Complete Season 12' box set on 11 June 2018, and in the United States by Warner Home Video (as 'Tom Baker: Season One') on 19 June 2018; Retrieved 2 May 2018 This release contained both the original 6-episode version and the 85-minute abridged repeat. To promote the release, the repeat version (marketed as a 'Director's Cut') was screened theatrically in the United States via Fathom Events on 11 June 2018.

Screen City Biennial is an art biennial that explores the relation between the moving image, sound, technology and architecture and presents artistic formats that seek to expand the borders of cinematic experience in public space. Explored in the legacy of expanded cinema and integrated with the urban context, as well as presented in an Online Exhibition, the biennial presents artworks of video, live cinema, art walks (mobile art), audio-visual, light art, animation, creative data visualisation, projection mapping, participatory urban media interventions, virtual and augmented reality, and computer gaming among other formats, partly invited based on an open call. With an integrated research program that "facilitates research on artistic practice and thinking and space for curatorial reflection", the Biennial presents "a new platform that works to explore uses of the moving image in contemporary artistic practice." Screen City was founded as a festival by Daniela Arriado in 2013 and repeated in 2015, and in 2017, together with Dr. Tanya Toft Ag, it was upscaled to become the first Nordic art biennial dedicated to the expanded moving image in public space.

BBC One HD logo BBC One HD, a simulcast of BBC One in 1080i high-definition (HD), launched on 3 November 2010 at 19:00 with The One Show. The channel simulcasts a network version of BBC One in High Definition, with HD versions of programmes including Doctor Who, Holby City, The One Show, Strictly Come Dancing and The Apprentice. EastEnders was also made available in HD from Christmas Day 2010. All programmes still made in standard-definition were upscaled on the channel, with the intention that by 2012 the vast majority of the channel's output would be in high-definition. On 30 May 2012, the satellite and terrestrial resolution was increased to full HD. BBC One HD at launch did not offer regional variations, and therefore the channel could not broadcast during regional programming slots, most noticeably the local news programmes. The BBC Trust admitted that this was due to technical and financial constraints, but the BBC announced on 6 June 2011 that the national variations of BBC One Northern Ireland, BBC One Scotland and BBC One Wales, would become available from 2012. On 24 October 2012, Northern Ireland received the first variation. A Scottish variation launched on 14 January 2013, followed by a Welsh variation on 29 January 2013.

On 31 July 2009, Virgin Media added Channel 4 HD on channel 146 (later on channel 142, now on channel 141) as a part of the M pack. On 25 March 2010 Channel 4 HD appeared on Freeview channel 52 with a placeholding caption, ahead of a commercial launch on 30 March 2010, coinciding with the commercial launch of Freeview HD. On 19 April 2011, Channel 4 HD was added to Freesat on channel 126. As a consequence, the channel moved from being free-to-view to free-to-air on satellite during March 2011. With the closure of S4C Clirlun in Wales on 1 December 2012, on Freeview, Channel 4 HD launched in Wales on 2 December 2012. The channel carries the same schedule as Channel 4, broadcasting programmes in HD when available, acting as a simulcast. Therefore, SD programming is broadcast upscaled to HD. The first true HD programme to be shown was the 1996 Adam Sandler film Happy Gilmore. From launch until 2016 the presence of the 4HD logo on screen denoted true HD content. On 1 July 2014, Channel 4 +1 HD, a HD simulcast of Channel 4 +1, launched on Freeview channel 110. It closed on 22 June 2020 to help make room on COM7 following the closure of COM8 on Freeview.
