Jill emerges from behind the corner holding two guns. She makes them uncuff Leader and drop their weapons. Leader accesses the computer and begins searching for someone. Jill tells Chuck he is looking for Bryce Larkin, because they think he is the Intersect.

Giving Ikeda the Queen of Sheba, Joji sees Ikeda grabng and looking at the diamond, at which he then proceeds to impale Ikeda's eye with the diamond with a punch. Ikeda falls off the cliff to his death. Tachizawa arrives and arrests Joji. On the ride back, Tachizawa decides to let Joji by using magic to uncuff him.

Ian's deaf wife Kay is revealed to be a willing accomplice with Ian and promptly stabs Mark in the stomach. She takes out her hearing aids and disappears back upstairs. Ian bends down to taunt Mark, but Mark stabs him with a blade he had taken from the garage, allowing Chasely to uncuff herself with Ian's keys. However once she gets to the front door she finds it is deadlocked and must return to the basement.

However, in March 1973, he is arrested after a successful heist, but as he is transferred to the courtroom, he requests to use the bathroom, and retrieves a pistol hidden in the toilet tank. He brandishes the gun in the court, forces the guards to uncuff him, and takes a judge hostage temporarily, while his apprentice, Michel, awaits, and the duo escapes. He returns to robberies with Michel, but his reckless behaviour (including robbing two banks at the same time) causes Michel to abandon Mesrine. After two months, French intelligence locates Mesrine's apartment, and Commissioner Broussard negotiates with Mesrine, who surrenders.

While supposedly transporting them to a detention facility, Shaw stops the truck and tells them to uncuff themselves, planning on killing them and making it look as if they were trying to escape, at which point Morgan and Devon use Casey's highly modified Crown Victoria to blow up the truck, rescuing Team Bartowski. In "Chuck Versus the Ring: Part II", Sarah and Team Bartowski carry out a plan to expose Shaw at a security convention. The plan succeeds and they're able to identify and detain the Ring Elders, but Shaw manages to escape just as Sarah walks into his office to find Chuck heavily debilitated by his latest attempt at flashing without the Governor. Sarah takes a barely conscious Chuck back to Castle when Shaw enters the Buy More and plants several bombs, threatening to blow up the store unless Chuck meets him.
