Marcus Ericsson in 19th qualified ahead of his Caterham teammate Kamui Kobayashi in 20th for the first time in 2014; Kobayashi ran two timed laps on the medium compound tyres but a car imbalance and a delay by Bianchi slowed him. Maldonado failed to set a lap after he lost control of the rear of his car on the artificial grass at the exit of turn three and struck the inside concrete barrier, damaging his front right suspension and stopped the first session for seven minutes.

Still, his overall style inspired countless artists in country and other styles of music, including rock music, and his songs would be performed by numerous artists in many styles. In 1949 Carson had another No. 1 country music hit as a songwriter when "Don't Rob Another Man's Castle," performed by Eddy Arnold, topped the Billboard Folk Best Seller Charts. From 1945 to 1955 Carson was one of the most prolific songwriters in country music.

Her first target is the blackmailer Mistress Nancy Otori, whom she interrupts dominating President Mah Sasazaki of Ryowa Bank. Jun is caught and whipped until Nancy is called away to dominate the boss of the Otsunami Family and Jun breaks free and escapes. President Sasazaki has her brought to his office and attempts to shoot her in order to keep his secret safe but she overpowers him as well as the members of the Otsunami Family, then returns to Mistress Nancy but is unable to find film negatives or a list of her clients. Angered at being two-timed by Nancy, Agent 004 of the secret criminal organization known as the Viper's Nest offers Jun Nancy's negatives and list of clients if she defeats him in battle.

The 1998 Superbike World Championship was the eleventh FIM Superbike World Championship season. The season started on 22 March at Phillip Island and finished on 4 October at Sugo after 12 rounds. The season saw the introduction of a revised qualifying system: after two timed qualifying sessions, the sixteen fastest riders were admitted to the newly created Superpole, which determined the first four rows of the starting grid; during this session each rider went on the track in reverse qualifying order to take a single flying lap. Carl Fogarty, who amassed three race victories during the season, won the riders' championship for the third time after and ; Fogarty prevailed over Aaron Slight at the last round, while Troy Corser, who had entered the final event leading the standings, could not race due to injury.

The South African round returned on 15–17 May at Kyalami for first time since the 2002 season that the Superbike World Championship had raced there; other changes in the calendar were the return of Imola after a two-season absence as the replacement for Vallelunga and the discontinuation of Brands Hatch as one of the British venues. The season saw the revision of the Superpole system, as the single-lap format was replaced by a three-part knockout system: after two timed qualifying sessions, the twenty fastest riders were admitted to Superpole 1, then the first sixteen SP1 riders progressed to Superpole 2 and the first eight SP2 riders contested Superpole 3, which finally awarded the pole position. In addition, changing bike during a race (also known as flag- to-flag) was allowed in order to avoid interruptions caused by variable weather conditions. Ben Spies won the championship in his rookie season, bettering Noriyuki Haga in a final round decider.

This methodology allowed for the possibility of records tying for a position, and on several occasions during 1945 two or more songs tied for the number one spot, including the issue of Billboard dated November 24, when four songs tied for the number-one position. The Juke Box Folk chart is considered part of the lineage of the current Hot Country Songs chart, which was first published in 1958. At the start of the year, the song in the number one position was "I'm Wastin' My Tears on You" by Tex Ritter, which had been in the top spot since the issue of Billboard dated December 23, 1944; it remained at the top of the chart for four weeks in 1945. Ritter achieved a second number one later in the year with "You Two-Timed Me One Time Too Often", which spent 11 nonconsecutive weeks at number one (including two in which it shared the top spot with other songs), the most by any song during the year.
