Santullano When the Church of San Julián de los Prados, or Santuyano, was built (approx. between the years (812 and 842), it formed part of a series of royal buildings. The church had a basilica ground plan (central nave and two side aisles), separated by three semicircular arches on impost capitals and square columns. In 1978 SAT made a study for increasing of payload on logging trucks by reducing the kerb weight. The vehicle was based on Sisu M-162 and it was connected to a two-axle conventional trailer. Transversal frame beams and some other chassis parts, rims, subframe, wings, crane beam, protection wall behind the cabin and the vertical side beams to hold the logs were made from aluminium alloy instead of steel; this led to weight saving of 1 435 kg. Brachytarsophrys orientalis, the Oriental short-legged toad, is a species of litter frog native to Jiangxi and Fujian in southeastern China. The main habitat of this frog is moist subtropical evergreen broadleaf forests, where it hides under rocks near and in montane streams. This species is different from other short-legged toads because of its smaller adult size, moderate webbing, and the tadpoles lacking transversal stripes on their chest. A monumental hall next to the staircase was used as a refectory and scriptorium, so it has two parts. It was divided with semicircular transversal bands supported with a column into two squared sections with a portal in each of them. The proof for different functions could be altered windows’ shape or cross section of arcs in the middle of the room. There was a semicircular portal to the northern part of the convent by the northern wall of the refectory and a spiral staircase to the dormitory in the corner of the room.

Barcelona Metro line 3 station was opened on 30 December 1924 with the opening of the line between this station and Lesseps. This part of the line was the first metropolitan railway and the starting of Barcelona Metro network, which was managed by Gran Metro and was called Gran Metropolitano de Barcelona. The Catalan Transversal Range is made up of a series of mountains running in a NW / SE axis between the Pyrenees, the Sub-Pyrenees, the Catalan Pre-Coastal Range and the northern end of the Catalan Coastal Depression. The highest point is at Puigsacalm, 1.515 m. Its most characteristic feature is a small region of volcanic origin near Olot, Garrotxa. There are extinct volcanoes like the conical-shaped Santa Margarida and Croscat, as well as basalt masses that originated in ancient lava flows at Castellfollit de la Roca.

The Heitersberg Railway (Heitersbergstrecke) is a Swiss railway line between the stations of Killwangen-Spreitenbach and Aarau on the east-west main line between Zürich und Bern. The main structure of the line is the 4,929 metre- long Heitersberg Tunnel, which has its west portal near Mellingen and its east portal near Killwangen. The line was built in the 1970s as part of the planned New Main Transversal (Neue Haupttransversale, NHT) project. It was opened on 1 June 1975 and handed over for scheduled operations on 22 May 1975.

The postorbital is fragmentary; from what is there, it is evident that it was squarish and posterolateral to the frontal bone rather than curving downwards. The jugal is thin, with a triangular transversal section and three branches. Barcelona Metro line 1 station was opened on 10 June 1926 as part of the original section of Ferrocarril Metropolità Transversal between the former station of Bordeta and Plaça de Catalunya station. The former metro station was very different from this one and was similar to Urgell and Rocafort metro stations. The metro station was closed between 1971 and 1972 when the new rail link between Sants railway station and Plaça de Catalunya was built, which passes very close to the metro station. This forced to change the original composition of the platforms to two platforms situated one above the other.

The secretary wanted the movement to take a precise political position, in the case in point on the left, while Finocchiaro Aprile considered it transversal to any ideology. The site had a trapezoidal shape formed by Sadovaya Street, two lanes and the Catherine Canal, which had been dug shortly before. On the other side of Sadovaya Street there were wooden markets Apraksin Dvor and Shchukin Dvor. Quarenghi used the layout similar to that of Bartolomeo Rastrelli’s Vorontsovsky Palace, with horseshoe-shaped mint vaults as side wings. The office building is in the center of the ‘horseshoe’, light transversal galleries connecting it with vaults.

Selva is a coastal comarque (county) in Catalonia, Spain, located between the mountain range known as the Serralada Transversal or Puigsacalm and the Costa Brava (part of the Mediterranean coast). Unusually, it is divided between the provinces of Girona and Barcelona, with Fogars de la Selva being part of Barcelona province and all other municipalities falling inside Girona province. Also unusually, its capital, Santa Coloma de Farners, is no longer among its larger municipalities, with the coastal towns of Blanes and Lloret de Mar having far surpassed it in size. Selva borders the comarques of Maresme, Vallès Oriental, Osona, Garrotxa, Gironès, and Baix Empordà.

The church was embellished by Pope John I and Pope Felix IV in the 6th century with mosaics and colored marble. Barcelona Metro line 1 station is one of the first metro stations in the city of Barcelona and it was part of Ferrocarril Metropolitano Transversal. Although this station was opened on 14 June 1926 its current location was opened in 1933. Sant Roc, also known as Sant Roc d'Amer, Sant Roc de la Barroca and Grony, is a mountain of the Catalan Transversal Range, Catalonia, Spain. It has an elevation of 591 metres above sea level.. It is part of the range that separates the Llémena River and the Brugent river valleys and is located at the confluence of the Garrotxa (Sant Aniol de Finestres), el Gironès (Sant Martí de Llémena) and la Selva (Sant Julià del Llor i Bonmatí) comarques. This mountain has a striking appearance and is quite visible from the road between Bonmatí and Sant Martí de Llémena. The steep cliffs on the southern and northeastern sides of the mountain are known as Cingles de Sant Roc.

On 25 September 1988, the VMI ("Vallée de Montmorency – Invalides") branch to the north-west opened. This branch mostly used the infrastructure of the "ligne d'Auteuil" (incorporated into the "ligne de petite ceinture" from 1867, closed to passengers from 22 July 1934), and a new tunnel connection between Batignolles and St-Ouen, connecting to the RER C's main trunk at Champ de Mars-Tour Eiffel via a curved bridge (the only one in Paris) over the Seine river. That extended services to Montigny – Beauchamp and Argenteuil. Porte de Clichy opened on 29 September 1991.

The Ch'ŏngnyŏn Ich'ŏn Line is an electrified standard-gauge secondary mainline of the Korean State Railway running from P'yŏngsan on the P'yŏngbu Line to Sep'o on the Kangwŏn Line.Kokubu, Hayato, 将軍様の鉄道 (Shōgun-sama no Tetsudō), The line is the southernmost of the three east-west transversal mainlines in North Korea. The Ch'ŏngnyŏn Ich'ŏn line plays an important role in the movement of freight between the east and west coasts of the DPRK, relieving the burden on the P'yŏngra Line. The Adriatic's surface temperature usually ranges from in the summer, or in the winter, except along the western Adriatic coast's northern part, where it drops to in the winter. The distinct seasonal temperature variations, with a longitudinal gradient in the Northern and transversal gradient in the Middle and Southern Adriatic, are attributed to the continental characteristics of the Adriatic Sea: it is shallower and closer to land than are oceans. During particularly cold winters, sea ice may appear in the Adriatic's shallow coastal areas, especially in the Venetian Lagoon but also in isolated shallows as far south as Tisno (south of Zadar). Colonization of the area was made a process by which inhospitable areas of the FTN were granted to native peasants. In 1962, the DGAA became the National Institute of Agrarian Reform (INTA), by Decree 1551 which created the law of Agrarian Transformation. In 1964, INTA defined the geography of the FTN as the northern part of the departments of Huehuetenango, Quiché, Alta Verapaz and Izabal and that same year priests of the Maryknoll order and the Society of the Sacred Heart began the first process of colonization along with INTA, carrying settlers from Huehuetenango to the Ixcán sector in Quiché. The Northern Transversal Strip was officially created during the government of General Carlos Arana Osorio in 1970, by Decree 60-70 of the Congress, for agricultural development.

Guatemala oil reserves. In 1971 indigenous Q'eqchi' people from 24 villages in the Cancuén area, in southern Petén and the north of Chisec were evicted by the Army because the region was rich in oil. Since 1974, oil had been commercially extracted in the FTN vicinity following discoveries made by Shenandoah Oil and Basic Resources, which together operated the Rubelsanto oil field in Alta Verapaz. In 1976, when then-president Kjell Laugerud Garcia came to visit the Mayalán cooperative in Ixcán, Quiché—which had been formed just 10 years before—said: "Mayalán is seated on top of the gold," hinting that the North Transversal Strip would no longer be used for agriculture and the cooperative movement, but rather for strategic exploitation of natural resources.

The Northern Transversal Strip was officially created during the government of General Carlos Arana Osorio in 1970, by Legislative Decree 60-70, for agricultural development. The decree literally said: "It is of public interest and national emergency, the establishment of Agrarian Development Zones in the area included within the municipalities: San Ana Huista, San Antonio Huista, Nentón, Jacaltenango, San Mateo Ixtatán, and Santa Cruz Barillas in Huehuetenango; Chajul and San Miguel Uspantán in Quiché; Cobán, Chisec, San Pedro Carchá, Lanquín, Senahú, Cahabón and Chahal, in Alta Verapaz and the entire department of Izabal." San Cristóbal Verapaz was not part of the Strip, but it was bordering it and felt the devastating effects of the Guatemala Civil War which was fought mainly in the Strip during the 1980s.

Juveniles, subadults and adults gathered on an old wall, after the rain. The juveniles are light brown, longitudinally stripped, as typical Ommatoiulus sabulosus, while subadults and adults exhibit the black and white ringed pattern characteristic of the forma. Ommatoiulus sabulosus aimatopodus is a millipede occurring in the South of France; belonging to the same species than Ommatoiulus sabulosus, it differs from the type by the lack of lighter transversal lines on the back when adult. It is believed to be a Mediterranean-climate adapted variant, but whether it is a true subspecies or rather an ecomorph is unclear; first described by Antoine Risso as a distinct species, it is for now considered as a form of Ommatoiulus sabulosus, under the name Ommatoiulus sabulosus f. aimatopodus.

Saunders lives and works primarily in Oakland, California. Saunders is a former professor of Painting at California College of the Arts, Oakland, California, and professor emeritus at California State University, East Bay, in Hayward, California. Saunders works in a large variety of media, but is mainly known for work that encompasses painting and transversal media juxtaposition, sometimes bordering on the sculptural (as in Pieces of Visual Thinking, 1987) but always retaining the relation to the flat wall key to modernism in painting. The use of the Inca roads became partial and was adapted to the new political and economic targets of the Colony and later of the Viceroyalty where the economic structure was based on the extraction of minerals and commercial production. A two-dimensional Poincaré section of the forced Duffing equation In mathematics, particularly in dynamical systems, a first recurrence map or Poincaré map, named after Henri Poincaré, is the intersection of a periodic orbit in the state space of a continuous dynamical system with a certain lower-dimensional subspace, called the Poincaré section, transversal to the flow of the system. More precisely, one considers a periodic orbit with initial conditions within a section of the space, which leaves that section afterwards, and observes the point at which this orbit first returns to the section. In 1610, a visitor, Father João Álvares, recommended the construction of an actual sanctuary, which was begun, and would actually be the center of the devotion to Nossa Senhora da Lapa in Portugal, India and Brazil, through missionaries who travelled from this location. The ' () is a German heraldic charge inspired by historic wolf traps, consisting of two metal parts and a connecting chain. Pinus ayacahuite, also called ayacahuite pine and Mexican white pine, (family Pinaceae) is a species of pine native to the mountains of southern Mexico and western Central America, in the Sierra Madre del Sur and the eastern end of the Eje Volcánico Transversal, between 14° and 21°N latitude in the Mexican states of Guerrero, Oaxaca, Puebla, Veracruz and Chiapas, and in Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras. It grows on relatively moist areas with summer rainfalls, however specimens from its eastern and southern distribution live under really wet conditions; it needs full sun and well drained soils. Its temperature needs fluctuate between 19 and 10 °C on average a year. This tree accepts from subtropical to cool climate. Pinus ayacahuite is a large tree, regularly growing to 30–45 m and exceptionally up to 50 m tall.

In 1971 the indigenous Q'eqchi's from 24 villages in the Cancuén area, in southern Petén and north of Chisec were evicted by the Army, because it was considered that the region was rich in oil. Since 1974, oil had been commercially extracted in the FTN vicinity following discoveries made by Shenandoah Oil and Basic Resources, which were operating together in the Rubelsanto oil field in Alta Verapaz. In 1976, when ten president Kjell Laugerud Garcia came to visit the Mayalán cooperative in Ixcán, Quiché -which was formed just 10 years before- said: "Mayalán is seated on top of the gold," hinting that the North Transversal Strip would no longer be used for agriculture and the cooperative movement, but rather by strategic exploitation of natural resources. After that presidential visit, the two oil companies conducted exploration in Xacbal, near Mayalán in Ixcán, where they drilled the "San Lucas" well with unsuccessful results.

Trabucco from the Village of TermoliA promontory on the rocky coast of Peschici that has two different sized trabucchi A trabucco is a massive construction built from wood consisting of a platform anchored to the rock by large logs of Aleppo pine, jutting out into the sea. From this platform, two (or more) long arms called antennae stretch out suspended some feet above the water, supporting a huge, narrow-meshed, net (called trabocchetto). The morphology of the Gargano coast and of Abruzzo determined the presence of two different types of trabucco: the Garganic trabucco is usually anchored to a rocky platform, longitudinally extended to the coastline, from which the antennae depart. The variant of Abruzzo and Molise, also called bilancia, are often found on shallower coasts and therefore is characterized by the presence of a platform, transversal to the coast, which is connected by a tight bridge made of wooden boards.

The Festa Major performance in Salt falls at the end of July and it marks the end of the first stretch of the season. It is the most important performance held in Salt. Colles de l'Eix is a brotherhood performance taking place each September and it always involves Marrecs with Tirallongues de Manresa, Castellers de Lleida and Sagals d'Osona performaing alternatively in Salt, Manresa, Lleida and Vic, the respective home towns, which are united by the Eix transversal (Catalan for "cross axis") since this road was built in 1997.

The construction of the North-South S-Bahn link, decided in 1933, and begun in 1934, involved the pairwise integration of each of the three southern suburban lines with one of the three northern suburban lines to North-South transversal lines, based on the similar size of their usage by passengers. The Wannseebahn being the strongest of all Berlin suburban lines was integrated with the suburban line from Stettiner Bahnhof (today Nordbahnhof) to Oranienburg, of similar size. The Northern Transversal Strip was officially created during the government of General Carlos Arana Osorio in 1970, by Legislative Decree 60-70, for agricultural development. The decree stated: "It is of public interest and national emergency, the establishment of Agrarian Development Zones in the area included within the municipalities: Santa Ana Huista, San Antonio Huista, Nentón, Jacaltenango, San Mateo Ixtatán, and Santa Cruz Barillas in Huehuetenango; Chajul and San Miguel Uspantán in Quiché; Cobán, Chisec, San Pedro Carchá, Lanquín, Senahú, Cahabón and Chahal, in Alta Verapaz and the entire department of Izabal." On 27 May 1978, when natives from San Vicente (in Panzós) went to work the land on the shores of the Polochic river, the sons of a local landlord showed up with several armed soldiers, and intimidated the natives to stop demanding land for themselves. The same day, the military detained two peasants in La Soledad, and roughed up several more.

Blackburn's record-breaking 20-year-old paper plane was based on his belief that the best planes had short wings and are "heavy" at the point of the launch phase in which the thrower throws the paper plane into the air, and at the same time longer wings and a "lighter" weight would allow the paper plane to have better flight times but this cannot be thrown hard with much pressure into the air as a "heavy" weighted launch phase. According to Blackburn, "For maximum height and for a good transition to gliding flight, the throw must be within 10 degrees of vertical" — which shows that a speed of at least is the amount needed to throw the paper plane successfully. After the folding there are still gaps between different layers of folded paper (tearoff edge). These and the kinks transversal to the airflow may have a detrimental effect on aerodynamics, especially on the upper side of the wing.

Some major projects were initiated, such as the Pukpu Line which was to have been a new east-west transversal trunk line in the very north of the country, but were only partially completed: though work started in 1981, the first stage, from Manp'o to Hyesan was completed only in 1988,북부철길 1단계공사완료, Kyunghyang Shinmun, 10 August 1988 but further construction was suspended for over twenty years.

The Manifesto Against the Death of the Spirit and the Earth (Spanish: Manifiesto contra la Muerte del Espíritu y de la Tierra) was a text published in the Spanish magazine El Cultural on 19 June 2002. Coauthored by Álvaro Mutis and Javier Ruiz Portella and described as an initiative to promote the ideas of the Nouvelle Droite, the text decried the "disenchantment of the world" and the "annihilation of the spirit's life", with the authors worried about "the disappearance of that breath by which men affirm themselves as men and not only as organic entities". The endorsements overcame a mere new- rightist profile, being actually ideologically transversal, with supporting intellectuals coming from both the left and right. The endorsers linked to the New Right, most often partakers of initiatives such as the or Hespérides and Nihil Obstat; namely Abel Posse, , Fernando Sánchez Dragó, Isidro Juan Palacios and José Javier Esparza became the coalescing nucleus around which the Grupo Manifiesto was formed.

On several occasions he has performed his music in conjunction with visual elements: paintings (Fondation Carzou) or animated works (soundtrack to a silent film), envisioning the concert to be a movement, an imbalance, a meandering, a journey, as much in the physical as in the temporal sense, one that also occurs in our mind’s eye. In the same way that his music has a transversal quality, Patrick Defossez’s lyrics and the names of many of his compositions frequently display great inventiveness and something of his flamboyant, irreverent side.

Cuchumaderas was closely related to the interests of the military leaders who held political power in the 1970s, and spread throughout the defined territory of the FTN; forest wealth of San Mateo Ixtatán made it the target of economic interests in the Northern Transversal Strip. Ronald Hennessey, pastor of San Mateo Ixtatán during the Guatemala Civil War arrived in October 1980, amid people's fight against the presence of Cuchumaderas and accused in his writings as Cuchumaderas partners the following people: Lucas Garcia, who FTN director when Cuchumaderas was founded, general Otto Spiegler Noriega, who was the Chief of Staff of the Army and later became Minister of Defense under Lucas García; Jorge Spiegler Noriega, manager of the National Forestry Institute (INAFOR), and then-colonel Rodolfo Lobos Zamora, commander of Military Zone of Quiché. However, later in the Commercial Register investigations showed that the owner of the company was a different person: it was the engineer Fernando Valle Arizpe,Valle Arizpe died on 26 October 2010. and was well known for being the husband of journalist Irma Flaquer until 1965.

The FIA defines a GT car as "an open or closed automobile which has no more than one door on each side and a minimum of two seats situated one on each side of the longitudinal centre line of the car; these two seats must be crossed by the same transversal plane. This car must be able to be used perfectly legally on the open road, and adapted for racing on circuits or closed courses." All races in the FIA GT Championship were of endurance type, a full race distance lasting a minimum of 500 km or a maximum of three hours, with the exception of the Spa 24 Hours, Istanbul 2 hours and the exhibition Mil Milhas Brasileiras, which is run over a thousand miles (1609 km) and was planned to be a round of the championship in 2007. However, with the release of the 2007 FIA GT Championship schedule and rules, the FIA GT series becomes more of a sprint race event, with all races being a maximum of 2 hours with the exception of the Spa 24 Hours.

The 22 km-long standard-gauge line between Fribourg and Murten (French: Morat) was opened on 23 August 1898 originally under the name of Chemin de fer Fribourg–Morat (French; "Fribourg–Murten Railway" in English, Freiburg-Murten-Bahn in German; FM). The first four kilometres between Friborg and Givisiez that the FM used had been opened on 25 August 1876 by the Western Swiss Railways (Chemins de fer de la Suisse Occidentale, SO) as part of the Fribourg–Payerne section of the Fribourg–Yverdon railway (known as the Broye transversal). In Murten, the FM reached the Palézieux–Lyss railway (–Murten–Lyss, known as the Broye longitudinal), which was also opened by the SO. The two Broye lines had already become part of the Jura–Simplon Railway (Chemins de Fer Jura–Simplon, JS). On 1 May 1903, the line was extended by about 10 km from Murten to Ins (French: Anet) and the name of the company was adapted to Chemin de fer Fribourg–Morat–Anet (FMA). Since then, the line has shared a 2.5 km-long section of the Fribourg−Yverdon railway between Murten and Muntelier, which was opened by the FMA on 12 June 1876.

Among its owners were the Wielopolski family, the Branicki family, and the Tarnowski family. In the 1610s, Piotr Komorowski funded here a parish church, and vastly expanded the castle of Kasper Suski, turning it into a residence. Furthermore, Sucha was a center of early industry, with glass works, watermill, brewery, and iron works. Due to several royal privileges, Sucha emerged as a local trade center; the village prospered under Anna Konstancja Wielopolska, who owned it in 1693 – 1726. The area of Sucha was one of centers of the Bar Confederation, and in 1772 (see Partitions of Poland), the village, with the population of 3,000, became part of Austrian province of Galicia. In the 1840s, Sucha was purchased by the Branicki family, Korczak coat of arms, which opened a large library together with a museum in the Sucha Castle. The village already had ironworks, which operated until the 1880s. In the same period, Sucha received a rail station, along the Galician Transversal Railway. Here, a northwards connection with Kraków was added in 1884, after which Sucha became an important rail junction. In 1896 Austrian authorities finally granted town charter to Sucha.

The "girth" terminology generalizes the use of girth in graph theory, meaning the length of the shortest cycle in a graph: the girth of a graphic matroid is the same as the girth of its underlying graph.. The girth of other classes of matroids also corresponds to important combinatorial problems. For instance, the girth of a co-graphic matroid (or the cogirth of a graphic matroid) equals the edge connectivity of the underlying graph, the number of edges in a minimum cut of the graph. The girth of a transversal matroid gives the cardinality of a minimum Hall set in a bipartite graph: this is a set of vertices on one side of the bipartition that does not form the set of endpoints of a matching in the graph.. Any set of points in Euclidean space gives rise to a real linear matroid by interpreting the Cartesian coordinates of the points as the vectors of a matroid representation. The girth of the resulting matroid equals one plus the dimension of the space when the underlying set of point is in general position, and is smaller otherwise.
