While we can all cop to really enjoying a peaceful poop session—and there's a synergistic chance you're actually reading this off your phone while squatting on the porcelain throne—it's safe to say that your turd time is tame stuff compared to those lyrical excrement experts who have revealed shit's role in the drug mule game, involved it in bedroom shenanigans, and even lauded the importance of a hygienic wipe strategy.

Art Review Equal parts trade fair, arts festival and synergistic marketing opportunity, New York's Asia Week, March 15-24, involves auctions at Bonhams, Christie's, Doyle and Sotheby's; scores of appointment-only private dealers opening their doors to the public; and tied-in museum shows as far afield as Newark, Princeton, N.J., and Stony Brook, N.Y. The Metropolitan Museum alone has seven related shows (one of which Jason Farago of The New York Times recently reviewed).

Ever since Hollywood super-agency WME|IMG bought the UFC last summer for an outlandish $4 billion there's been a discernible shift in the spirit of the promotion, a marked movement away front the sport-first mentality of ratings-based matchmaking and fight-based marketing campaigns into the realm of big-money fights that have nothing to do with rankings and brand-based, product-integrated, synergistic media strategies driven by fighters' personalities and cross-platform marketability.

But while the audiences who've embraced the wall-crawler of the Marvel Cinematic Universe -- as played by Tom Holland, creatively steered by filmmakers Joe and Anthony Russo (in the crossovers) and Jon Watts (in two solo adventures) and overseen by Marvel's uber-producer Kevin Feige over five films in three years, with Sony financing the "Spider-Man" titles -- may be the ones who stand to miss out on the most if Sony and Disney do walk away from their landmark pact that allowed for synergistic sharing, there's plenty at risk for the two Hollywood colossuses as well.
