"Goodbye Summer" marks the first time Amber has self- composed a track and also the first time the music producer team NoizeBank has collaborated with f(x) in composition. Gen Neo of NoizeBank handled the arrangement of the piece using mostly acoustic instruments to produce its background music.

The main theme is based on the signature fanfare for the Valdres Battalion, which is based on an old cow call. The following second variation includes a halling from Helgelandsmoen, a small village in Hole, Ringerike. The melody of the trio section was Hanssen's self composed Hardanger fiddle "slått", which is a pentatonic folk tune, above a drone bass line.

In 1991, he also joined on MBC's University Music Festival where he got bronze award for his self- composed song Long Goodbye which was also included on his first album.

Sitaula Performing During Holi Concert Mr. Bharat Kumar Sitaula gained musical expertise and musical knowledge being a student of music at Anurag Music School, Putalisadak, Kathmandu. He started his musical career in the year 2000 with the recording of his self-composed and penned song "Oh Bolana". He composed a number of songs for other artists in the following few years, and released his debut album "Mod-The Turning Point" in the year 2004. His first album was a huge success, and contained several hit songs such as "Achanak", "Maya Launa Tah" and "Aakash Herchu".

Chat-Shire (stylized as CHAT-SHIRE) is the fifth Korean-language extended play by South Korean singer-songwriter IU. The A-side track, Colors (Melody and Harmony), was used as the image song for Hello Kitty's thirty-fifth anniversary. Morse in 1927 Lee Morse was an American singer, songwriter, composer, and guitarist, who worked primarily in the genres of jazz and blues music in the 1920s and 1930s. She garnered significant fame in the mid-1920s, and became one of the most celebrated recording artists in the world. She was marketed as "America’s Leading Singer of Blues and Southern Mammy Songs." Morse's discography includes over 60 singles of both self-composed and cover recordings, most of which were released by Perfect and Columbia Records in the 1920s.

Following an introduction to American rapper Eminem by his school teacher, RM grew interested in lyricism, printing lyrics he felt were "cool" and sharing them with his friends. RM transitioned to writing lyrics then, stating that his poetry became lyrics when it combined with music. In 2007, as a first year middle school student, RM began rapping in local amateur hip-hop circles, creating his first self-composed recording for the first time using the program Adobe Audition (then called Cool Edit). He later participated in his first concert in 2008.

After that, he spent one semester taking music courses at Berklee College of Music and then decided to return to Thailand to pursue his dream. Before Sakdatorn entered the Academy Fantasia competition, he had a chance to work in the music industry after he sent a demo CD of his self-composed songs to the producers of the Sleepless Society albums. He sang the backing vocals for the famous Thai duo Golf-Mike's ขอบคุณ...ยังน้อยไป in 2006 and composed the melody for Kalorin Nemayothin's ทดแทนกันไม่ได้ in 2007. Sakdatorn speaks Thai, English, and Japanese.

Lundkvist was so impressed with her voice that he was convinced she would be a star. After going through considerable effort to locate the singer, he arranged for Agnetha to come to Stockholm and to record two of her own songs. This led to Agnetha at the age of 18 having a number-one record in Sweden with a self-composed song, which later went on to sell over 80,000 copies. She was soon noticed by the critics and songwriters as a talented singer/songwriter of schlager style songs.

In early 2011, it was announced that Yangpa had signed onto Core Contents Media and would be making her comeback after her four-year absence. Her EP Elegy Nouveau, which contained the self-composed tracks "Bon Appetit" and "그때 그 사람", was released on March 28, 2011. After the concept photos for the album were released, controversy aroused over whether or not the singer had gotten cosmetic surgery. Her agency initially denied the claims, but Yangpa stated in a later interview that she had had some work done.

Having released three albums of Indian classical music, Shankar took several years away from recording and focused her energy on establishing herself as a solo concert performer outside of her father's ensemble. In that time, she toured worldwide, playing an average of 50–60 concerts per year. 2005 brought the release of her fourth album RISE, her first self-produced, self-composed, non-classical album, earning her another Grammy nomination in the Best Contemporary World Music category. In February 2006 she became the first Indian to play at the Grammy Awards, playing material from RISE.

Produced by Nitin Sawhney, and featuring her half-sister Norah Jones as the sole vocal performer, Traces of You earned Shankar a fourth Grammy nomination in the World Music category. In July 2015 Shankar released Home, her first purely classical album of Indian Ragas. Self-composed and produced, Home was recorded over a week in October 2014 in Shankar's new, purpose-built home-studio. Anoushka Shankar in Lorient Interceltic Festival in 2014 Shankar has made many guest appearances on recordings by other artists, among them Sting, Lenny Kravitz, Thievery Corporation and Nitin Sawhney.

On July 2018, Goeslaw released a single dedicated to World Head and Neck Cancer Day entitled "Cahaya dalam Cahaya" ("Lights in Lights"). Aside from it, Goeslaw also announced as collaborator of the self-composed "Hara", produced by Rinaldy Yunardi. On September 6 of the same year, Goeslaw released a new motion picture soundtrack, called Dancing in the Rain, entitled "Bintang di Hati" ("Stars in the Heart"). A year afterwards, this also became a theme song for television series directed by Gita Djun, called Samudra Cinta (Ocean of Love).

On late 2019, Goeslaw held a concert entitled Ada Apa Dengan Cinta? 2 Live in Concert, which is includes self-composed soundtracks from other films and television series, such as Pernikahan Dini (from Pengantin Dini), Tegar (from Suami, Istri dan Dia), Hati Yang Terpilih (from Cinta Suci), Cinta (from Bintang), Cinta Sejati (from Habibie & Ainun), Ku Bahagia (from Ada Apa dengan Cinta?), Bintang di Hati (from Dancing in the Rain and Samudra Cinta), and also Atas Nama Cinta (from Cinta Fitri). Alongside it, Goeslaw also collaborated with Rita Effendy to release single entitled "Kusadari".

Häns'che Weiss (1951 – 2 June 2016) was a German gypsy jazz and modern jazz guitarist in the tradition of Django Reinhardt. From 1969-1972 he played with the Schnuckenack Reinhardt Quintett, after which he made five albums with his own ensemble playing acoustic gypsy jazz along with self-composed and traditional gypsy tunes. From the early 80s to his death he played in a more mainstream/bebop jazz style with other German jazz artists including the violinist Martin Weiss (his nephew), and the double bass player Vali Mayer.

Chat Noir was established as a cabaret in 1912 by singer Bokken Lasson and her later husband, writer Vilhelm Dybwad, modelled after the Paris cabaret Le Chat Noir from the 19th century. During a visit to Paris in the early 1890s Bokken Lasson had found the inspiration of her life. She experienced the literary cabarets of the time, and performers such as Yvette Guilbert. The next years she toured European cities, wearing a self- composed costume, singing gypsy songs and playing lute, performing on the street, at restaurants, cabarets and occasionally in musical comedies.

She is also one of just two female singers in the list, the other being Nazia Hassan. A UK-based Magazine declared Kiani the 22nd greatest music maker of South Asia out of a total of fifty artists, also mentioning how she raised the standard of music videos in the country. Several years after the release of Rung, leading Indian Sufi singer "Harshdeep Kaur" covered Kiani's self composed "Jogi Bun Kay Aa" on a leading Indian television show. The lyrics of the song were originally written by Kiani's mother and poet Khawar Kiani.

She recorded the song "Nevinost" as part of "Miligram", an ex-Yugoslavian compilation album project by composer Aleksandar Milić Mili. Kaliopi also participated in the posthumous release of Toše Proeski's self-composed, unreleased songs, recording the song "Zasekogaš" in Macedonian and "Zauvijek" in Serbo-Croatian. In December 2010, Kaliopi released the album "Poraka", for which she collaborated with Darko Juranović "D'Knock", Tihomir Preradović, Miroslav Rus and Rambo Amadeus. The album contained the duet "Denot si budi" with Slovenian singer Marko Vozelj and "Ako Još Ikad Padne Snijeg" with Edin Karamazov.

From 2010 to 2013 Kudaibergen participated in and won four major singing competitions, in Kazakhstan (Sonorous Voices of Baikonur, 2010, and Zhas Kanat, 2012), Ukraine (Oriental Bazaar, 2012), and Kyrgyzstan (Meikin Asia, 2013). With winning the prestigious National Zhas Kanat Contest in 2012, Kudaibergen gained for the first time wide attention from the Kazakh national media. He won the three-day vocal competition with a full jury score of 180 out of 180 points; the first time in the history of the contest. That same year he released his first self-composed work "Körkemim" ().

The success of Sin & Soul meant that much more money was spent on production and Quincy Jones and Ralph Burns were bought in to handle the arrangements. However, Brown was soon to fall down the pecking order at Columbia following a rearrangement of the management at the company. His third album was notable for the lack of any self-composed songs, and Columbia was having a hard time packaging him as an artist. They were unsure whether Brown was suited to middle-of-the-road/easy listening nightclubs or alternatively should be presented as a jazz artist.

When I'm a Rock 'n' Roll Star is an album by David Cassidy. Released on Razor and Tie Records in 1996 as RE 2117-2, it is a compilation of songs drawn from his three RCA Records albums recorded in 1975 and 1976: The Higher They Climb The Harder They Fall (1975), Home Is Where the Heart Is (1976), and Gettin' It in the Streets (1976). The opening dozen tracks feature a mix of material from the 1975 and 1976 albums, the final three tracks are drawn from Gettin' It in the Street. Most of the material is self-composed, mainly with others.

The discography of South Korean solo-artist Juniel consists of one studio album, four extended plays, ten singles, and ten music videos. Juniel made her debut in 2011 with the extended play Ready Go, which was released in Japan. She composed all the songs in the album and later took part in writing lyrics, as well as composing all her songs in subsequent Japanese releases. On March 6, 2013, Juniel released her first Japan major album titled Juni which consists of 11 self-composed songs and a Japanese version of duet song 'Babo' with CNBLUE's Jung Yong-hwa.

On January 28, Ha unveiled his self-composed song "Don't Forget" featuring former Wanna One member Park Ji-hoon. "Don't Forget" was released as a pre-release track from his EP My Moment, with lyrics about wishing to cherish memories with loved ones. The singer began his solo activity by announcing his first two-day fan-meeting, "My Moment", which was held from March 8–9 at the SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Olympic Park, Seoul. The tickets went on sale on February 20 and sold out within two minutes of the pre-order becoming available.

Her co-stars Go Doo-shim and Lee Ji-hoon, as well as the production crew, praised her performance, especially during emotional scenes. As the series progressed, IU's performance garnered positive critical reviews despite early reservations shown about her casting, with the viewership ratings reaching a peak of 30.8%. She was nominated for the Excellence in Acting Award (Best Actress in a Serial Drama) at the 2013 KBS Drama Awards. For the drama, she released a recording with her co-star Jo Jung-suk of her self-composed duet, "Beautiful Song" (), which was not included on the official soundtrack.

Opsahl was involved in the establishment of "Caledonia Jazzband" (1982) and toured in New Orleans (1983), whereupon he settled there and played in the "All Star Brass Band" (1986). Later he established the Chateau Neuf Spelemannslag (1992–2002) and "Soulfood" (former "Creole Quartet"), together with Christian Frank (bass), Bjørn Olufsen (drums) and Wollert Krohn-Hansen (piano). He released his debut solo album Indigodalen (2001) with self-composed traditional folk music where he collaborated with Tord Gustavsen, Åsmund Reistad, Ingar Zach and Eline Monrad Vistven. It was followed by Improvisions containing melodic free jazz recorded at the 'Sister Churches' in Gran (2005).

However, J. Tune Camp released an official announcement stating that this was a rumor and that both Joon and Thunder are in talks with the company regarding their future activities. On November 18, 2014, J. Tune Camp revealed a mysterious image on their official Twitter which showed the date November 25, 2014. It turned out to be the release date of their upcoming album which is made up of self-composed songs. A few days later on November 20, 2014, J. Tune Camp revealed the track list on their official Twitter and the album which appears to be titled "Winter".

On July 4, 2012, Thunder released his self composed digital single "Don't Go" for the group's Asia tour The BLAQ%. His song is an RnB piece with a sad melody and lyrics that tells how a man feels after a break up. J.Tune Camp is set to release G.O's 2nd single "Play The Song"on November 20th, which features fellow Pianist Yiruma and 2Face's chorus. This song is a medium-temp R&B; track which expresses the longing for a past love after a breakup, and the conflicted emotions are perfectly conveyed through G.O's gentle vocals.

Their 2014 EP Overdose entered US Billboards 200 chart. Early in 2014, Zhang composed and performed the song "I'm Lay" for his solo performance during Exo's first headlining concert tour The Lost Planet. Later in 2014, he performed another self- composed song titled "I'm Coming" on a special year-end television program on Hunan TV. Zhang also composed the song "Promise" from the repackaged edition of Exo's second studio album, Love Me Right. He also wrote the lyrics for the Chinese version of the song, while the Korean version was co-written by Chen and Chanyeol.

On January 5, 2015, it was announced that Niel would be making his official solo debut in February. January 27, on Mnet's "4 Things Show", Niel revealed a self-composed track "Affogato" from the EP. On February 1, TOP Media announced Niel would release an EP entitled oNiely on February 16. Niel collaborated with various artists for his EP, such as C.A.P, L.Joe, and Dok2. February 17 on the radio program, "Power FM's 'Choi Hwa Jung's Power Time," Niel said he had to go to the emergency room twice during preparations for the debut due to anxiety.

The new album contains twelve songs including a song, "無邪気な笑顔で", self-composed by its member Chang Min. Originally in Korean lyrics but for the Japanese album release, the lyrics had been changed to Japanese. The other 3 new songs are First Love, Pretty Girl and "愛の歌がRadioから". The rest are songs from their 1st to 4th Japanese singles releases in the year 2012: "Never Let You Go: Shindemo Hanasanai", "Denwa ni Denai Kimi ni", "For You: Kimi no Tame ni Dekiru Koto" and "Darenimo Watasenai Yo".

He rapped on the track Love Me (). He performed on Super Junior's second Asia tour, Super Show 2, as part of Super Junior-M, and also performed a self- composed English solo song, "Sick of Love", which remains unreleased. Due to the continuing backlash of his status as a member of Super Junior, he went on hiatus to study music at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, where he learned music production. He composed a song with Super Junior's leader Leeteuk called All My Heart (; Revised Romanization: Jinsim) for Super Junior's 4th repackaged album, Bonamana.

Rowling found it difficult to finish Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets because she was afraid it would not live up to the expectations raised by Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. After delivering the manuscript to Bloomsbury on schedule, she took it back for six weeks of revision. In early drafts of the book, the ghost Nearly Headless Nick sang a self-composed song explaining his condition and the circumstances of his unknown death. This was cut because the book's editor did not care for the poem, which has been subsequently published as an extra on J. K. Rowling's official website.

On May 7, 2018, she released her first self-composed single "Open" (打开). In December, she participated on Zhejiang TV's music show Sound of My Dream (season 3), and her first performance of “Upwards to the Moon” 左手指月 went viral. On the show she was later awarded the "Angel Button" by Tan Weiwei. Flirting with mainstream pop music as well as writing her own songs for Diamonds & Rust (1975), the album became the highest selling of Baez's career and included a second top-ten single in the form of the title track. After Gulf Winds (1976), an album of entirely self-composed songs and From Every Stage (1976), a live album that had Baez performing songs "from every stage" of her career, Baez again parted ways with a record label when she moved to CBS Records for Blowin' Away (1977) and Honest Lullaby (1979).

She then put her first self-composed song Lucky voice and her other songs onto the internet.singpao.com interview In January 2005, when she was 16, she wrote the song He invites me to Disneyland (他約我去迪士尼) to cope with the stress of the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination. She claimed the song was inspired by the classic fairy tale of Sleeping Beauty and court romance. She eventually repeated form five, and entered PLK Vicwood KT Chong Sixth Form College with satisfactory results, but left the College in a year to develop her singing career.

In 2014, Harvey collaborated with the herbalist Ron Teeguarden on an album titled Dragons at Play, which consisted of nine tracks. In 2015, Cleopatra Records issued a six- disc retrospective of Harvey's career featuring the first five of Harvey's solo albums, and a sixth disc containing a live performance from the Matrix Club in San Francisco, on December 24, 1968. The performance included Jerry Garcia, and Elvin Bishop. In 2016, Harvey and friends entered the recording studios at Fantasy Records, Berkeley, for two days of live studio recording, which resulted in the eight self-composed tracks which made up the album Snake Pit.

In 1982, Joan Jett released a cover of "I Love Rock 'N Roll", which was No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard charts for seven weeks and helped launch her career. The following year Lou Rawls recorded Alan Merrill's song "When The Night Comes" as the title track of his 1983 Epic Records album. The Rawls' version of the song was taken into space by astronaut Guion Bluford, the first music taken to and played in outer space. In 1983, Merrill recorded a solo album for Polydor Records, simply titled Alan Merrill, a collection of self-composed tracks.

On January 8, Jonghyun pre-released "Love Belt", another self-composed song which is a collaborative track with Younha, on MBC FM4U's broadcast of "Blue Night". The official music video for "Crazy (Guilty Pleasure)" was released on the same day, it features the rapper Iron who received attention with his performance on Mnet's survival show Show Me The Money 3. The concept of the music video takes after the name of the title song, guilty pleasure which means to enjoy something that you shouldn't. Jonghyun portrays a man who is head over heels for an alluring woman.

Throughout the 1950s, Schanke became responsible for a new style of revue, performed entirely for the open stage without the traditional music numbers played before a closed carpet during scene shifts. Jazz-inspired, more show-oriented music which was primarily self-composed replaced the saloon-themed accompaniment common at the time. Schanke's theatre is often called 'jazz-revue', not only due to the choice of music genre, but also for its seemingly improvised, more casual theatre-expression. Schanke had an eye for talent, and was not only responsible for introducing many fresh pens and faces, but pulled many established names from theatre and popular music into his revues.

Already in 1999 Nevio Passaro released his first single "La mia parola" with BMG Ariola (RCA). After competing in a German talentshow and till today he has numerous live-performances through all of (Germany), but also in Austria, Luxembourg, Italy, Slovakia, Switzerland and South Africa. On 8 August 2006 he signed a record deal with Universal Music. His first self-composed single "Amore per sempre" was released on 19 January 2007 and stormed to the second place in the German singlecharts. "Nevio", his first album, was released on 16 February 2007, went to fifth place in the German album charts and later reached the gold status.

Plucked stringed instruments are common throughout Spain and Portugal, but they were proscribed in Galician or Asturian commercial folk music until recent years. Modern guitarists like Xesús Pimentel often use strong flamenco influences in their sound. The violin has a long tradition in the area, common since the early 20th century, when blind fiddlers traveled to fairs to play traditional and self-composed songs, as well as pieces by composers like Sarasate. The hurdy gurdy (zanfona) has been played in the area for many centuries, but had mostly died out by the middle of the 20th century before being revived by Faustino Santalices, Xosé Lois Rivas and the like.

The reality principle is what the ego operates in order to help satisfy the id’s demands as well as compromising according to reality. The ego is a person’s "self" composed of unconscious desires.

After two and a half years of training, Wang was selected as one of the final members of JYP Entertainment's new boy group Got7 and debuted with the single "Girls Girls Girls", released on 16 January 2014, from the group's first EP Got It?. On 29 April 2016, Got7 held their first concert in Seoul, where Wang performed his self-composed songs "I Love It" and "WOLO (We Only Live Once)" with his group members Yugyeom and BamBam. Farrell's mother went to the United States to look for work and left him, at a young age, with his maternal grandmother in Trinidad. He made his first public performance at the age of twelve in 1929, where he delivered a self-composed calypso about the ghost of a young girl. Early appearances quickly gained Farrell popularity and earned him the moniker "the Boy Wonder", though he soon reverted to "Pretender", a previous nickname from his school days. His grandmother did not approve of this career choice due to the "scandalous reputation" of the calypso musicians and more than once, she entered a calypso tent and dragged Pretender out mid-performance.

He created concert tours like "Twerk Du Soleil" and the "Toddlerz Ball" of his most popular videos to connect with fans in person packing venues from Los Angeles to London. In August 2009, Hall auditioned for the ninth season of American Idol in Dallas, Texas. He sang a self-composed song mentioning the judges – Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi, and guest judge Joe Jonas – to make his case for inclusion in the program. Years later, reflecting on his Idol experiences, he is most proud of his audition song for showing his creativity and what he does, it is his fondest memory of his time on the show.

In December 2011, Thunder had a cameo role in jTBC drama Padam Padam where he played the role of Yang Kang-woo, the older brother of Yang Kang-chil (played by Jung Woo-sung). In 2012, he was featured in two magazines: he posed shirtless for the March issue of Harper's Bazaar and the April issue of L'Officiel Hommes Korea; both were an eight-page spread. Also in April, Wanna Girls magazine named him as new fashionista icon of 2012, along with Jessica Jung, Hyomin and Yong Jun-hyung. In July 2012, Thunder released a self- composed solo song titled "Don't Go" for "The BLAQ% Tour" album.

In recent years, Ku has displayed her vocal talents through soundtrack releases as well as digital singles. In 2005, she released her first single "Happy Birthday to You" for Nonstop 5. In 2006, she released the track "Sarang Ga" ("Love Story"), which became the title song of Pure in Heart. In 2012, Ku released her first self-composed soundtrack, titled "Fly Again" for SBS's Take Care of Us, Captain, which she stars in. In July 2009 Ku released her first album Breath in 2009, an album of new-age music which included her composed song for her friend and singer, Gummy, entitled "Around the Alley".

Megson's first album, On The Side, consisted of a mixture of self-penned and traditional songs. Released in 2004, the album caught the attention of Seth Lakeman, whose brother Sean helped produce their second album, Smoke Of Home, which further explored the wealth of traditional songs from around their home in Teesside as well as self-composed songs in the same style. Their third album, Take Yourself A Wife, was recorded while they were planning their wedding and consists of their own take on traditional and Victorian folk songs. The Longshot, consists of songs about work from the North East of England and their own experiences of English culture, especially sport and the textile industry.

Unlike her previous work, Lee collaborated with foreign composers such as Norwegian songwriting team Dsign Music, who previously composed Girls' Generation's "Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)" and "I Got a Boy". She also worked with blues musician Kim Tae-chun, and her then-boyfriend Lee Sang-soon for the new record. Beenzino, a member of hip-hop duo Jazzyfact, Bak Ji-yong from vocal trio Honey G, comedian Ahn Young-mi, and Lee's companion dog Soonshim participated on the album as featured artists. Monochrome contains a total of sixteen tracks, including the lead single "Bad Girls", the self-composed hit "Miss Korea", and "Show Show Show", a cover of "No No No" originally performed by German pop trio Monrose.

Ha has sung several OSTs, including "Think of You" for tvN drama Her Private Life, "Immunity" for JTBC drama The wind blows, and "Because of You" for JTBC drama Flower Crew. On June 5, Ha unveiled his self-composed song "Riding" featuring Dynamic Duo Gaeko, a pre-release track his second EP, BXXX, which was later released on July 8. The EP featured the medium tempo lead single "Blue" which shows a dramatic change in the song with an explosive vocal. The album consists of five tracks, of which four were written and composed by Ha. "Blue" was composed by Joombas (Hyuk Shin, KYUM LYK, and JJ Evans), while Ha gave his contribution as the lyricist.

In support of Modern Times, IU held her second solo concert series with three shows which took place in November 23–24, 2013 at Kyung Hee University's Peace Hall in Seoul and ended on December 1, 2013 at KBS Hall in Busan. Promotions for Modern Times progressed into 2014 with IU performing in Hong Kong for the first time in a solo concert. A repackaged version of Modern Times, titled Modern Times - Epilogue, was released on December 20, 2013 with two additional tracks: "Friday" () and "Pastel Crayon" (). Her self-composed track, "Friday", was originally intended to be included in Modern Times but was later released as the lead single of Modern Times - Epilogue.

Faccio un casino is the fourth studio album by the Italian singer Coez, released on 5 May 2017 by Undamento with the distribution of Sounday / Self. Composed of twelve tracks, the album was made with the collaboration of Sine and Niccolò Contessa of I Cani, composers of most of the music, while Ceri, Frenetik & Orange3, Stabber, Squarta, Ford78 were involved in the production. Gemello, Gemitaiz and Lucci are among the guest singers. Faccio un Casino was anticipated by four singles: the title track "Faccio un casino", released 10 March on digital platforms, "Taciturnal" and "Occhiali Scuri", released simultaneously for digital download on 18 April, and "E yo mamma", released ten days later.

In late July 2017, it was reported that JYP Entertainment (JYPE), home to male idol groups 2PM and Got7, was rumored to premiere a new season of 2015 reality show Sixteen on the second half of the year, however it was revealed the next month that the agency would launch a male idol debut project with a completely different concept from Sixteen. The show was set to air in fall but the debut of the final line-up might happen in 2018. Rather than individuals surviving to become a team, the trainees would be working towards the goal of debuting altogether. The team was based on internal selection and trainees would perform their self-composed songs.

Three major changes can be noted with the release of MCMXCV. First, the appearing of the self-written German lyrics penned by Bodenski, second, Eric Fish moved up from being the piper to being the frontman and main singer. Third, the focus of the music was no longer on folklore with the occasional self-composed song tossed in for measure, but was turned around to exactly the opposite, with the two translated folk songs "Krähenfraß" ("The twa Corbies") and "Carrickfergus" adapted to fit the band's style. Between 1994 and 1997 the band rapidly released four albums and toured Germany to exhaustion, with an average of around 100 concerts (take or give a few) per year.

Later Li used his experience writing to attempt to direct several of his own television shows first producing (Meimeng Rensheng), a series of romantic comedies employing dark humor to both entertain and enlighten audiences of the hardships of those in the entertainment business. A departure from his usual genre of focus, Li soon returned to crime fiction in (Feichang Baodao) his most recent non-film production. Li is considered in the avant-garde of modern Chinese cinema; in 2010 he self-composed and directed China's first crime oriented feature film, (The Man Behind The Courtyard House). In 2012 Li introduced his second movie, (Silent Witness) which won five awards at the China International Film Festival in London the following year.

On February 14, 2012, K.Will released his 3rd mini album I Need You two weeks after releasing a digital single of one of the songs from the mini album titled "I Hate Myself". On the same day, K.Will also unveiled a music video for "I Need You" on Starship Entertainment's official YouTube channel which features Sistar's Bora and actors Ji Chang Wook and Yeo Jin Gu. "I Need You" peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100, while "I Hate Myself" peaked at no. 6. The album marked the five-year anniversary of K.Will's debut as a singer-songwriter. His self-composed song, "I'll Be With You" is also included and is dedicated to all his fans who believed in him.

He gave him a chance to sing the song Hoke Majboor Mujhe Usne Bulaya Hoga with Mohammad Rafi in Chetan Anand's Haqeeqat. He was given a solo by Khaiyyam in film Aakhri Khat. Thereafter Bhupinder started releasing private albums wherein his first LP had three self-composed songs and was released in 1968, a second LP of ghazals wherein he introduced the Spanish guitar, bass and drums to the ghazal style, released in 1978 and his third LP titled Woh Jo Shair Tha, for which the lyrics were written by Gulzar in 1980. Entering wedlock with Bangladeshi singer Mitali, he moved away from playback singing in the mid-1980s and since then has been singing jointly for several albums and live concerts.

The third text, called No. 44, the Mysterious Stranger: Being an Ancient Tale Found in a Jug and Freely Translated from the Jug, also known as the "Print Shop" version, returns to Austria, this time in the year 1490, not long after the invention of printing. It tells of No. 44's mysterious appearance at the door of a print shop and his use of heavenly powers to expose the futility of mankind's existence. This version also introduces an idea Twain was toying with at the end of his life involving a duality of the "self", composed of the "Waking Self" and the "Dream Self". Twain explores these ideas through the use of "Duplicates", copies of the print shop workers made by No. 44.

His work during the 1980s and 1990s benefited from faster computers and his invention of an audio-visual composition program called the Whitney-Reed RDTD (Radius-Differential Theta Differential). Works from this period, such as Moondrum (1989–1995), used self-composed music and often explored mystical or Native-American themes. All of John Whitney's sons (Michael, Mark and John Jr.) are also film-makers. Several of the films (plus some of James Whitney's), were preserved by Center for Visual Music in Los Angeles; HD transfers from their preservation have been seen in major museum exhibitions including Visual Music at MOCA and The Hirshhorn Museum (2005), Sons et Lumieres at Centre Pompidou (2004–05), The Third Mind at The Guggenheim Museum, and other shows.

For smaller brass ensembles his work includes Praeludium and Allegro for trombone, Cavatina and Allegro for E-flat horn, Arioso and Caprice for horn, Flight of Fancy, for cornet and euphonium, the fantasy Alice in Wonderland, The Four Corners of the World, Down Under, Episodes for Brass, Prelude and Rondo and Seven Up for septet, Prelude, Romance and Finale for brass quartet and the cornet quartet Foursome Fantasy. His arrangements of musicals include Calamity Jane, Blossom Time, The Merry Widow, Viva Mexico!, Die Fledermaus, The Chocolate Soldier and La Périchole and his orchestrations of shows for amateur companies remain in demand world wide. Some of his self-composed dramatic cues were featured in The Ren & Stimpy Show, Rocko's Modern Life, SpongeBob SquarePants, Camp Lazlo.

Almost all Culture citizens are very sociable, of great intellectual capability and learning, and possess very well-balanced psyches. Their biological make-up and their growing up in an enlightened society make neuroses and lesser emotions like greed or (strong) jealousy practically unknown, and produce persons that, in any lesser society, appear very self-composed and charismatic. Character traits like strong shyness, while very rare, are not fully unknown, as shown in Excession. As described there and in Player of Games, a Culture citizen who becomes dysfunctional enough to pose a serious nuisance or threat to others would be offered (voluntary) psychological adjustment therapy and might potentially find himself under constant (non-voluntary) oversight by representatives of the local Mind.

Bae Jin-young is a former winning contestant of Mnet's Produce 101 Season 2. As a 10-month old trainee representing C9 Entertainment, he successfully finished at 10th place in the final rankings and earned his spot in the winning group Wanna One, notorious for being monster rookies in South Korea. Following the disbandment of Wanna One, Bae Jinyoung debuted as a soloist in 2019 with his self-composed album Hard to Say Goodbye, and held his first Asia fan-meeting tour "I'M YOUNG" in connection with his debut, featuring eleven shows. In October 2017, BX appeared as a contestant on JTBC's Mix Nine under his birth name Lee Byoung-gon, finishing in 9th place thus earning a spot in the winning group.

From April to September, each of the BtoB members released solo digital singles as part of the Piece of BtoB project. Lee Chang-sub started the project with a self-composed ballad track "At the End". It was followed by Jung Il-hoon's up-tempo hip-hop track "Fancy Shoes", Peniel's "That Girl", Im Hyun-sik's self-produced alternative-rock track "Swimming", Lee Min-hyuk's R&B; hip-hop song "Purple Rain" featuring singer Cheeze, Yook Sung-jae's ballad track "Tell Me" (말해) along with the b-side, "Paradise" and was concluded with Seo Eun-kwang's ballad track "One Day" (이제 겨우 하루) and the b-side "Back Then" (그때). On September 20, BtoB was awarded their first Bonsang at the 1st Soribada Best K-Music Awards.

Brodie Hanson (Susie Rugg) begins staying at the centre after fleeing her abusive mother, Jan (Genevieve Sulway) and Mitch forms a close friendship with her. Hayley is annoyed when she finds Mitch is dating Brodie, as she hoped to reconcile with him as they had broken up after her father Ken (Anthony Phelan) died. After Mitch wins a charity talent contest with a self-composed musical number, he is approached by Morrie Sanders (Peter Brownie), who reveals he is his uncle and explains that Mitch's grandfather had thrown Vicky out of home when he learned she was going to marry Mitch's father. Morrie tells Mitch that his grandmother, Morrie and Vicky's mother is dying and wants to see him before she dies and Mitch agrees to go to New Zealand with Morrie.

Distinguished performers such as PP Arnold, who Marriott knew very well from his Small Faces days, Doris Troy who had a U.S. hit in the early 1960s with her own self-composed song "Just One Look" (later covered by The Hollies), and Claudia Lennear (who had sung backing for artists such as Joe Cocker, Freddie King and Gene Clark), were featured on this album. In 1976 the band abandoned glam nostalgia to enter more serious territory. "Under One Roof" (1976) sung by John Richardson was a portrayal of a gay man disowned and later murdered by his father; along with Rod Stewart's "The Killing of Georgie" (1976), it was one of the few songs that tackled the topic of homophobia. Their most successful self-composed hit was the country rock styled ballad "Baby I Know" (1977) sung by Tony Thorpe, which reached number 10 in the UK and Germany in 1977. During this period the band continued to cater for the much bigger European market by continuing to release the more commercial pop singles all featuring lead vocals by Alan Williams such as "Julia" (1976), "Allez Oop" (1976), and "Ooh La La" (1977).

On July 15, 2015, Junho released his third Japanese mini-album, SO GOOD. The album ranked third in Oricon's weekly music chart, and sold more than 40,000 albums in its first week. He embarked on his 2015 Japan tour Last Night in seven cities, which started July 7. In September, he released his first album in Korea, a special compilation album titled One. The album contained Korean version of 11 self-composed Japanese songs that were released in the past. He concluded his solo concert "Last Night" at Seoul which was held at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Seoul, from September 19–20. In 2016, Junho released his fourth Japanese mini-album, DSMN. The album topped Oricon Daily Chart and also the daily sales rankings at Tower Records.

As well as being lead singer, Pearson was also the most prolific composer of the group. Five Star tracks written by her include "Stay Out of My Life" (1986) (Five Star's only self- composed top-ten single), "Hard Race" (1987), "There's a Brand New World" (1988) and "What About Me Baby" (1990); ballads such as "Live Giving Love" (1987), "Let Me Be Yours" (1988), "Feel Much Better" (1990), "Funktafied" (2001), "Don't Let Me Be the Lonely One" (2001) and "Tell Me What You Want" (2001); and the uptempo "I'm Still Waiting" (1990), "Tienes Mi Amour" (1990), "Going With the Moment" (1994) and "Show Me" (1994). Recorded between 1977 and 1986, the album contained fourteen tracks, only one of which was self-composed: the rest were classic country blues and ragtime instrumentals by such artists as Blind Willie McTell, Big Bill Broonzy and Blind Blake. In 1989, he released a second album, Steel-Rail Blues, which contained more of his own compositions as well as arrangements of others' songs. Knopfler, already famous as the leader of Dire Straits, offered to produce Phillips's next album for him. However, following an impromptu (and still well-remembered) gig in May 1986 at the famous Grove Inn in Leeds (one of the city's most celebrated musical venues) in which Knopfler joined Phillips and Croker, Phillips suggested that they form a band along with Croker (who had also released a couple of albums with his band The 5 O'Clock Shadows).

His books are widely read in Spanish and French, but are for the most part unknown to English-speaking audiences. For a quarter of a century, Jodorowsky held classes and lectures for free, in cafés and universities all over the city of Paris. Typically, such courses or talks would begin on Wednesday evenings as tarot divination lessons, and would culminate in an hour long conference, also free, where at times hundreds of attendees would be treated to live demonstrations of a psychological "arbre généalogique" ("tree of genealogy") involving volunteers from the audience. In these conferences, Jodorowsky would pave the way to building a strong base of students of his philosophy, which deals with understanding the unconscious as the "over-self", composed of many generations of family relatives, living or deceased, acting on the psyche, well into adult lives, and causing compulsions.

This depicts a Welsh knight, bare-headed with long hair, who holds a shield emblazoned with a lion rampant and the words 'HIC JACET KENEVERIKE AP HOVEL' ('Here lies Cyneurig ap Hywel'). Just west of the tower is the grave of Elihu Yale, after whom Yale University in the United States is named. The tomb was restored in 1968 by members of Yale University to mark the 250th anniversary of the benefaction. It is inscribed with a self-composed epitaph beginning with the following lines: 193x193px The churchyard is entered through wrought-iron gates, completed in 1720 by the Davies Brothers of nearby Bersham, who had been responsible for the gates of Chirk Castle, perhaps the finest example of wrought-iron work in Britain, and also made gates at Sandringham House, and at Leeswood Hall, near Mold in Flintshire.

"She's A Mod" became a number one hit in Australia—the first song from a New Zealand group to reach the top of the charts in another country. In 1965, the band released the single "Till We Kissed", which sold fifty thousand units; this was actually a retitled version of 'Where Have You Been All My Life?' released years earlier and even performed by The Beatles in their Hamburg days The Invaders' second album, Original Numbers, was the first album in New Zealand to include an entirety of self-composed songs. After disbanding the Invaders, Columbus relocated to the United States for two years. Returning to New Zealand, he hosted numerous television pop shows including Ray Columbus presents New Faces, C'mon, Happen Inn and That's Country (which he co-created and helped sell to a US cable network).

Meanwhile, "B" sides and four-song EPs showcased original material and instrumental solos. The group also returned to jazz and R&B; themes on their albums: their first, 1964's The Five Faces of Manfred Mann, included standards such as "Smokestack Lightning" while the second and last with this line-up, Mann Made, offered several self-composed instrumentals and a version of "Stormy Monday Blues" alongside novelties and pop ballads. With a cover of Maxine Brown's "Oh No Not My Baby" began a phase of new depth and sophistication in the arrangements of their singles. The group began its string of successes with Bob Dylan songs with a track on the best-selling EP The One in the Middle, "With God on Our Side", next reaching No. 2 in the UK with "If You Gotta Go, Go Now".

NCIS: The Official TV Soundtrack is the first soundtrack album from the television series NCIS. The album is a two-disc, 22-track set that includes brand new songs from artists featured prominently in episodes of the series. According to the soundtrack website, NCIS show producers listened to literally dozens of submitted tracks before choosing the ones best suited for upcoming storylines, and from which the show's writers could draw upon for inspiration. The soundtrack also features NCIS stars Pauley Perrette ("Abby Sciuto"), who performs the self-composed "Fear" under the moniker Stop Making Friends, and Cote de Pablo ("Ziva David"), whose memorable performance of Tom Waits' "Temptation" from the Season 6 premiere episode, "Last Man Standing," is included. It is Perrette’s character, Abby, whose music sensibilities in the show serve as the basis for the soundtrack’s "Abby’s Lab" disk 2.

After his debut with VIXX, Leo appeared in episode 4 of SBS' television drama The Heirs alongside his group members. As an avid sports fan, Leo has appeared in several athletic variety shows with other idols such as Dream Team and Idol Athletics Championship. In 2014, Leo had a cameo role in SBS' television drama Glorious Day alongside Hyuk and was cast in the musical Full House in the lead role of Lee Young-jae from April to June at the Hongik Daehakro Art Center, Grand Theater in Seoul. Later that year, Leo also participated in the Y.Bird from Jellyfish Island project created by Jellyfish Entertainment CEO Hwang Se- jun by collaborating with Lyn on her self-composed single "Blossom Tears" (); their single Y.BIRD from Jellyfish with LYn X Leo was the fourth in the series.

"Eriko with Crunch" was short-lived, and Imai began her solo career with the single "In the Name of Love", released in 2000. Also during this year, Eriko participated in her first musical, Ninagawa Hi no Tori, for which she earned a "Best Newcomer in Theatre" award at the Golden Arrow Awards 2001. Her second solo single, "Identity", was viewed as a changing point in Eriko's career. Many viewed the music as hard-core rock. The music video for her third single, "Set Me Free", was shot in Australia, and Imai performed the song in Kuala Lumpur during the 2001 Asia Music Festival. In 2001, Imai released her first album, My Place. Including her self-composed songs "Himawari" and "Dawn", it sold 93,700 copies and peaked at No. 7 on the weekly Oricon chart. During this year, Eriko performed in her second drama, ', and appeared in the movie Onmyoji.

DeMello decided to record the album live as a way of capturing their natural excitement. So, on February 6, 1966, the band were recorded during a live performance in front of about 150 patrons at the Hub, which featured the group doing self-composed songs such as "Poor Man’s Son", "Man on the Moon", "Quiet Town", and the ventful "The World Ain't Round It's Square," sung in a scowling voice by Bobby Zuill and Paul Muggleton. According to Rob Zuill, "...we were so scared that we played everything too fast..." The album also would contain three cover songs from the performance, which would include a version of the Icelandic song, "Ertu Med" which would also be recorded in a very different manner by Thor's Hammer later in 1966. One of Savages' original songs recorded this night, "No No No," would be covered by Connecticut band The Instincts.

The lyrics for Dangerous were more varied than those of Jackson's previous records. Opening track "Jam" features a dense, swirling Riley track, propelled by horn samples and a subtle scratch effect, and includes a fleet rap by Heavy D. The ballads, "Keep the Faith" (composed by Jackson, Siedah Garrett and Glen Ballard) and the self-composed "Will You Be There" had sounds of gospel, while "Heal the World" and "Gone Too Soon" were softer pop ballads. "Gone Too Soon," written by Larry Grossman and Buz Kohan, is a tribute to Ryan White following his death due to AIDS in 1990. The album also included songs of other personal nature especially in songs such as "She Drives Me Wild," "Remember the Time," "Can't Let Her Get Away," "Who Is It" and "Give In to Me." The title track's subject is similar to that of "Dirty Diana" with the song focusing on a seductress.

After a four- year period in California in the late 1970s and early 1980s with her partner at the time, actor James Coburn, whom she met at a party thrown by Joan CollinsPaul Donnelley, Fade to Black: A Book of Movie Obituaries, Music Sales Group, 2003, page 161 de Paul returned to England. Although she only released one self-composed solo single, "Strange Changes", in the 1980s, it did make the UK disco chart, published in the music magazine Record Mirror, and prime time TV appearances in the UK and Germany. She co-wrote with Terry Britten "A Little TLC", which was covered by Sam Hui and awarded an RTHK Top 10 Gold Songs Award in Hong Kong in 1986. Other versions of this song were recorded by Latino boy band Menudo, with lead vocals by Ricky Martin as a track on their 1988 album Sons of Rock; as well as Japan based Filipina soul singer Marlene as a track on her album Looking for Love; and also featured in the US children's television programme, Kidd Video.

In 1931, the Governor of Singapore appointed a committee "to investigate the hawker question in Singapore and to make recommendations as to any change in policy in this respect which may be considered advisable", consulting and taking evidence from the Municipal Health Officer, the police, Superintendent of Town Cleansing, Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Clerical Union, Teo Chew guilds, Indo-Ceylon Club and the Straits Chinese-British Association. Seow championed the plight of hawkers who he felt were being treated callously and without any regard for the social benefits they were bringing, or for their own precarious economic situation. Through articles in the newspaper, including a self-composed poem, depositions and meetings with the committee. He sought to achieve a fair and balanced outcome that would take into consideration the needs of the masses who were not European, and who relied on the lower-priced food and non-food merchandise provided by the street hawkers of Singapore, exposing in the process the constant brutality hawkers faced from the authorities and bribery hawkers often had to resort to in order to continue to operate.

Upon hearing an early arrangement of an obscure Peter Paul and Mary album track, the then relatively unknown "Leaving on a Jet Plane" that Pickett had curated and was now performing with his folk singing partner Paddy Maguire at "Mother's" in Erdington 1968, Warner Bros executives Ian Ralfini and Martin Wyatt arriving from London to audition the duo and realising the track was already published by Warners, released it a few weeks later and the song went straight to Number One in the UK chart staying there for several weeks. Moving to London in 1969, Phil was employed as an arranger by E. H. Morris, a US music publisher based in Hanover Square W1 with the added responsibility of sifting through the many tapes sent in by hopeful writers. One of the songwriters was Norwegian guitarist / vocalist, Georg Kajanus, who after being recommended to the publisher, Phil contacted with a view to forming a group. The duo, now called "Kajanus Pickett" recorded an album of self-composed material, "Hi-Ho Silver" for Arty Mogul's Signpost label, an imprint of Atlantic Records.
