The uncut versions were released digitally on dgmlive.com in 2005, along with the rest of the show. Track 1 is a brief performance of "The Heavenly Music Corporation" from (No Pussyfooting), an album Robert Fripp recorded with musician and producer Brian Eno.

The accompanying music video premiered the same day as the single. It opens with a therapy session and features split screens interspersed between clips of the 1975 performing in a mirrored room. The use of a mirrored room was influenced by the album artwork for Fripp & Eno's 1973 studio album, (No Pussyfooting).

The result is a dense, multi-layered piece of ambient music. This technique later came to be known as "Frippertronics". (No Pussyfooting)'s first track, which fills one side, is a 21-minute piece titled "The Heavenly Music Corporation". Fripp originally wanted the track titled "The Transcendental Music Corporation", which Eno didn't allow as he feared it would make people "think they were serious".

This album contains an important performance in King Crimson's career, being the source of the improvisations "Trio" and "Starless and Bible Black", the Fripp instrumental "Fracture" and the intro to the song "The Night Watch", all of which were included, with some editing, in the 1974 album Starless and Bible Black. Released in November 1973, (No Pussyfooting) failed to chart in either the US or UK. Island Records actively opposed it. The album was released in the same year as Eno's more rock-based solo album Here Come the Warm Jets. Eno was attempting to launch a solo career, having left Roxy Music, and his management bemoaned the confusion caused by two albums with such different styles. Robert Fripp's bandmates in King Crimson also disliked the album.

A retired East End gangster, Ritchie Archer, returns to London from Spain to investigate the violent sadistic murder of his brother, Charlie, at the hands of a local street gang called E2. In the process, Ritchie discovers that the police are pussyfooting around the case, out of incompetence, fear or both. It was directed by Sophie Muller. The Strokes can be seen in the video during the prom scene. The band performance in the mirrored room is a nod to the album cover for (No Pussyfooting) (1973) by Fripp & Eno and A Flock of Seagulls' "I Ran" music video.

Dudley settled on the Edmonton Junior Canadians, who were the Western Canada junior finalists. In December 1946, the CAHA gave an ultimatum to the Canadian Olympic Association to accept the team put forth under the CAHA definition of amateur, or look to another organization for a team. Prior to forming the Larks-era KC, he collaborated on a spoken-word album with a woman he described as "a witch", but the resulting Robert Fripp & Walli Elmark: The Cosmic Children Of Love was never officially released. With Brian Eno, Fripp recorded (No Pussyfooting) in 1972, and Evening Star in 1974. These experimented with several avant-garde musical techniques that were new to rock. A tape delay system using dual reel-to-reel Revox tape machines played a central role in Fripp's later work, and became known as "Frippertronics".

Fripp & Eno is a musical side-project composed of Brian Eno and Robert Fripp. The duo have released four studio albums, beginning with the 1973 album No Pussyfooting. The music created by this pair is entirely instrumental and has made extensive use of Frippertronics, a tape delay technique, combined with Fripp's guitar, the Fripp Pedalboard and Frizzbox (with subsequent sound treatments by Eno) along with Eno playing various keyboards, synthesizers and modified Revox A77 tape recorders. In 2015, Fripp & Eno were ranked No. 17 on Rolling Stone's list of the 20 Greatest Duos of All Time.

The single was promoted by a distinctive music video directed by Tony van den Ende in which the band members performed in a room covered in aluminium foil and mirrors. The cameras used to film the video are clearly visible in many of the background reflections, their stands also covered in foil. The video is an homage to Brian Eno and Robert Fripp's (No Pussyfooting) album cover, which was also portrayed by the Strokes in the video for their single, "The End Has No End," two decades later. The video received heavy rotation on MTV in the summer of 1982, and helped the single to become a hit.

Voting to delay the approval or disapproval of the plan for two weeks on the sixteenth of October, the council avoided making a potentially controversial decision. This move disagreed with project supporter and member of the study's policy committee, Alderman Wyche Fowler, so much that he said "I don't think political pussyfooting on the part of some aldermen is going to win the day."
