When Olaf met the rebels they accepted him as their king, and together they started to search for Haakon. They eventually came to the farm where Haakon and Kark were hiding, but did not find them. Olaf held a meeting just outside the swine-sty and promised a great reward for the man who killed Haakon.

In 1990, only four large buildings remained from the Priory of Orsan, enclosing a disused farmyard where in the 1950s, a chicken coop, pigsty, and metal shed had been erected. The church, the cloisters, and the mill had disappeared, their stones repurposed for agricultural constructions. That year, Patrice Taravella and Sonia Lesot, architects looking for a building to renovate, discovered Orsan. The walls were dilapidated, the rooves worn, the doors without keys, old agricultural machinery strewn about the barns and courtyard.

The album received good reviews, including this one from the Melody Maker: "The Pigsty Hill Light Orchestra must be one of the most popular acts on the folk scene. Their spontaneous humour and good time songs have held many an audience anchored to the floor in wonder." Despite continuing popularity, the band split up in May 1979 but, in 1988, reformed for the Trowbridge Village Pump Festival, after which Pat Small and singer Hannah Wedlock (Fred's daughter) joined the line-up and they began touring again.

A metamorphosed Sing treats the two's wounds and takes them into a quiet room to rest before meeting the Axe Gang outside, who are waiting for them. The Landlady deduces that Sing is a natural-born kung fu genius when he effortlessly dispatches the gang members before confronting the Beast. The Beast initially gains the upper hand and sends Sing flying high into the sky.

Pilbeam sees this, and hurries to Connie and Parsloe-Parsloe, but is denied his fee when they find the pig has eaten the book. He then rushes to the Emsworth Arms, and gets a cheque out of Lord Tilbury, telling him the book is in the pigsty. Bodkin is on hand, however, and destroys the cheque and warns Emsworth by phone that someone is heading for his sty. Later, full of remorse, he offers Pilbeam a thousand pounds to employ him for a year in his agency.

It is common for diseases to spread from a single pig to nearly all the pigs living in the same pigsty. The town is located 70 kilometres south of Sofia, 8 kilometres north of Blagoevgrad and 2 kilometres off European route E79 and Struma motorway, on the way to the Rila Monastery. In the 1930s, famous Bulgarian poet Nikola Vaptsarov worked in a Kocherinovo factory near the village of Barakovo as a stoker and a technician. The town's name stems from the dialectal word kocherina, a derivative of kocher, "pigsty, section of a shed". The northern mullock heap is supported by the remains of "pigsties" that were used extensively by miners for support of shafts underground and to shore up larger underground openings. The "pigsty" system provided a frame of timber logs that when packed with mullock could provide considerable structural stability. Tipton-Haynes State Historic Site, known also as Tipton-Haynes House, is a Tennessee State Historic Site located at 2620 South Roan Street in Johnson City, Tennessee. It includes a house originally built in 1784 by Colonel John Tipton, and 10 other buildings, including a smokehouse, pigsty, loom house, still house, springhouse, log barn and corncrib. There is also the home of George Haynes, a Haynes family slave. Tipton led the opposition to the State of Franklin, an unsuccessful attempt by the Tennessee Valley residents to form a state in the mid-1780s.

Trueman Shuffle (nicknamed Truffle by his family) is a lazy boy who refuses to clean up after himself. His parents are frequently exhausted because they are constantly chasing after him, but when they complain, Truffle either ignores them or argues. They tell him that "clothes pigs" will get him if he insists on living "in a pigsty", but Truffle points out that pigs would never be seen in the streets of their city. Severe floods swept through much of Central Australia in early 1939. The pigsty bridge (a temporary bridge supported on piers consisting of sleepers built in sections of four) over Stevenson Creek was swept away, railway services were disrupted for weeks with parts of the railway line washed away, telegraph poles were toppled and the crossing at Alberga Creek was destroyed. R. M. Williams worked at Macumba shortly after World War II transporting brumbies to use as bucking stock at the Marrabel Rodeo. More floods hit the station in 1950 when of rain fell in just 48 hours.

It is one of a great number of watermills in the Eifel region. Other watermills in the neighbourhood are the Gehringer Mühle and the Ölmühle. The oldest part of the mill probably dates from the 17th century. In the course of the centuries restorations have taken place but always bearing in mind the historic aspect of the place. There are four buildings on the site of the Kolliger Mühle: the „Wirtschaftsgebäude“ with a.o. the central heating installation and the water supply device, the „Wohnhaus“ (private house) with the water wheel, a former hen house and a former pigsty.

Fyling Hall School The Pigsty Thorpe Hall, an Elizabethan mansion built by the Fawside family in 1680 and extended twice in the 19th century, now serves as bed and breakfast accommodation. The Georgian country house of Fyling Hall, built in 1810 and now the home of Fyling Hall School, replaced an earlier hall where in 1632 the politician Sir Hugh Cholmeley was born. St Stephen's Old Church north of the village, a chapel of ease which contains memorials for shipwrecked sailors, was built in 1821 as a preaching church, replacing a predecessor. It is a Grade I listed building.

"The Shor ulus Kezek" is the authentic complex of Shors' dwellings and household buildings of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, consisting of a dwelling "Em", a summer kitchen "Senek", a barn "Aimorok", a smithy, a bath- house "Melcha", a calf-house, a pigsty, a henhouse and a stable. At the end of the 19th century single-room izbas and five-wall huts borrowed from Russians became prevalent winter dwellings of the Shors. Along with these a log yurta "Senek" was also widely spread. Next to the farm a Shorian wedding hut — "green yourta", is reconstructed.

Cohen Saves the Flag was a part of Mack Sennett's "Cohen" series that used a burlesque of Jewish stereotypes for its humor. Typical of the film's comedy is having Cohen chased into a pigsty, where he views the porcine residents with nervous apprehension – this is an obvious riff on the Jewish prohibition on eating pork. Sennett set up his production company for Cohen Saves the Flag alongside Thomas H. Ince’s epic The Battle of Gettysburg. Sennett staged his battlefield scenes on the edge of Ince's production, capturing Ince's grand wartime sequences for his film while keeping the Cohen Saves the Flag cast discreetly out of Ince's camera range.

Their style has been described as "mystical" and "acid-folk", their self-penned compositions being primarily about a fantasy world of mythological beings such as fairies, elves and dragons. They have been compared with the Incredible String Band and Tir-na-Nog. They toured extensively but recorded only one self-titled album, on The Village Thing label (VTS2) in 1970, produced by Ian A. Anderson, which has become highly sought-after as a collectors' item. Moller made a substantial profit on the deal, by selling off the whiskey stocks (about 100,000 gallons - worth tens of thousands of pounds alone) and a rare Mercedes Benz owned by the distillery. Much to the dismay of locals, Moller proceeded to convert the distillery into a pigsty, smashing thousands of Locke earthenware crocks (which would be worth a substantial amount at auction today) to create a hard-core base for the concrete floor. The Bristol Troubadour Club was a short lived but influentialclub in the thriving contemporary folk music scene in Bristol in the late 1960s and early 1970s, It was located in Clifton village, the student quarter above the city centre. The club was considered by some as the liveliest and most creative outside London. The club hosted some of the premier folk artists of the day including Al Jones, Fred Wedlock, Pigsty Hill Light Orchestra, Ian Anderson, Mike Cooper, John Renbourn, Bert Jansch, The Incredible String Band and Roy Harper. Frederick William Robertson lived at two houses in Montpelier near the end of his life. Many famous people have lived in Montpelier. Sara Forbes Bonetta, an African princess who became a favourite of Queen Victoria, lived at 17 Clifton Hill prior to her marriage at St Nicholas Church in 1862 to a merchant who lived at Victoria Road; she was unhappy in Brighton, describing the house as a "desolate little pigsty". Frederick William Robertson, a preacher, theologian and divine whose ministry at Brighton's Holy Trinity Church was nationally famous, lived at 9 Montpelier Terrace from 1847 until 1850, then at 60 Montpelier Road until his death in 1853.

In 1940s Shanghai, petty crooks Sing and Bone aspire to join the notorious Axe Gang, which rules the town with an iron fist under the leadership of the cold-blooded Brother Sum. The two visit Pigsty Alley, a rundown slum, where they claim to be Axemen and attempt to extort the residents before being chased off by the slum's Landlady. In an attempt to bluff them, Sing throws a firecracker, which blows up the hat of a minor Axe Gang boss passing by. Sing blames the residents for throwing the firecracker, and the boss attacks a barber, only to be struck by an unseen assailant.

Remnants of the Crusader castle Yehi'am fortress Kibbutz Yehiam was privatised in 2001, with a programme put in place in order to attract young families, some of them belonging to people who have grown up on the kibbutz and have moved out at some point.Kibbutz Yehiam website: homepage (Hebrew) A sweets factory was one of the first industries in Yehi'am. In addition, the kibbutz had a large variety of agriculture branches such as bananas, citrus, avocado, dairy farming, chicken coop, pigsty, fish farming, wheat, cotton and maize (corn), and a large tobacco crop. As for 2015, Yehi'am's agriculture is largely based on bananas, avocado, citrus, field crops and chickens.

The museum holds displays of traditional crafts, with a working blacksmith forge, a pottery, a weaver, a miller, and a clog maker. When the Icarians first arrived at Nauvoo on March 15, 1849, they purchased a number of buildings, grounds, houses, cattle and the burned-out Mormon Temple which they intended to use as an academy or school. After all purchases and repairs were done, the Nauvoo Icarian village consisted of a dwelling of individual apartments, two schools (one for girls and the other for boys), two infirmaries, a pharmacy, a large community kitchen with dining hall, a bakery, a butchery, and a room for laundry facilities. Soon thereafter, a steam-powered flour mill, a distillery, pigsty and sawmill were added. A local coal mine was worked for fuel.

Bartolommeo's second account is more suggestive and points toward another element in the witches' 'flights'. It concerns a certain notary of Lugano who, unable to find his wife one morning, searched for her all over their estate and finally discovered her lying deeply unconscious, naked and filthy with her vagina exposed, in a corner of the pigsty. Lamenting his failure, Sing relives his childhood to Bone: he was duped into believing he was a natural-born kung fu genius by a vagrant selling a martial arts pamphlet, and as a result he gave the vagrant his meager savings to purchase the pamphlet. Sing practiced the Buddhist Palm technique and attempted to save Fong, a mute girl, from bullies, only to be beaten himself and humiliated when the bullies point out the pamphlet costs a mere 20 cents. Sing then became adamant the good guys never win and resolved to be a villain. The two return to Pigsty Alley to kill the Landlady, though their plan backfires and they barely escape.

German Ethnic House In 2020, German ethnic house was opened for public in the house of Krisztina Link Majer. The house belongs to the so-called švapska kuća type ("Swabian house"), though a bit affluent one, built before World War II. Affluence, apart from having more rooms and larger yard, also means that it has three steps at the door, as the poorer people built houses directly on the ground. Specific architectural style includes mixed brick-earth walls and steep, two- faced hipped roof which was originally made of straw, but later replaced with roof tiles. The yard is elongated, with numerous auxiliary objects, like pantry, horse stable, cart shed, barn and pigsty.

The Pigsty Hill Light Orchestra (or PHLO) were an eccentric band of British musicians, who joined together in early 1968 to play a fusion of comedy, jazz, and folk music, in a unique style which has been compared with The Temperance Seven and the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band. Much of their repertoire consisted of songs from the 1920s or 1930s. Other influences included music hall, blues and jug band music. Their eccentricity arose, not only from their characters and choice of music, but from an eclectic mix of instruments, some of them home- made, such as the 'egg-cupaphone' and the 'ballcockaphone' - a wind instrument in which the supply of air to the reed was controlled by a toilet cistern chain connected to a ballcock.

Melville House, the Bells' first home in North America, now a National Historic Site of Canada In 1870, 23-year-old Bell travelled with his parents and his brother's widow, Caroline Margaret Ottaway, to Paris, Ontario, to stay with Thomas Henderson, a Baptist minister and family friend. The Bell family soon purchased a farm of at Tutelo Heights (now called Tutela Heights), near Brantford, Ontario. The property consisted of an orchard, large farmhouse, stable, pigsty, hen-house, and a carriage house, which bordered the Grand River. At the homestead, Bell set up his own workshop in the converted carriage house near to what he called his "dreaming place", a large hollow nestled in trees at the back of the property above the river.

Archaeological evidence suggests that pigs were being managed in the wild in a way similar to the way they are managed by some modern New Guineans from wild boar as early as 13,000–12,700 BP in the Near East in the Tigris Basin, Çayönü, Cafer Höyük, Nevalı Çori. Remains of pigs have been dated to earlier than 11,400 BP in Cyprus that must have been introduced from the mainland which suggests domestication in the adjacent mainland by then. A separate domestication also occurred in China.

It is a civil temple, formerly name was Wat Khok Mu (วัดคอกหมู, "pigsty temple"). It was told that during King Rama II's reign in early Rattanakosin period Chao Krom Yim (เจ้ากรมยิ้ม), who was a Mon (Peguan) persuaded the Chinese who mostly were pig raisers in the area to build a temple called Wat Khok Mu. Later Vajirananavarorasa, supreme patriarch at that time has changed its name to Wat Sitaram. It derived from conversion of Pali language, from a word of Yim (the temple founder's name), and a word of aram (the temple, or monastery), ubosot (ordination hall) of the temple has Chinese styled rooftop covered by Thai styled tiles. The gables are decorated with floral design stuccos and Chinese glazed ceramics.

In this new format, the group was an instant success, getting booking five nights a week at pubs, hotels, local festivals, dancehalls, town halls, and temperance halls across Ireland. McDaniel was among the first women artists to have single records, recording with Fontana Records, at first pop ballads and later covers of country singers, as well as local songs. Word segmentation is the problem of dividing a string of written language into its component words. In English and many other languages using some form of the Latin alphabet, the space is a good approximation of a word divider (word delimiter), although this concept has limits because of the variability with which languages emically regard collocations and compounds. Many English compound nouns are variably written (for example, ice box = ice- box = icebox; pig sty = pig-sty = pigsty) with a corresponding variation in whether speakers think of them as noun phrases or single nouns; there are trends in how norms are set, such as that open compounds often tend eventually to solidify by widespread convention, but variation remains systemic. In contrast, German compound nouns show less orthographic variation, with solidification being a stronger norm.

Although it was banned during the Cultural Revolution to publish literature and art , an extensive underground poetry circulated, which was written under extreme conditions: Gu Cheng (Chinese: 顾城 Gu Cheng) says that he started his poems in a pigsty, Bei Dao (Chinese: 北岛) wrote his first plays in the evening after work. Only with the death of Mao Zedong, the arrest of the Gang of Four, as well as an opening to the west, the laws became looser around the "cultural requirements". The unofficial magazine "Today" (Chinese: 今天 Jintian) offered a platform for these feelings and poems. The first issue was published with the seminal poem "The Answer" (Chinese: 回答 Huida), which can be regarded as a paradigm for the obscure nature of misty poetry.

A member of the aristocratic Faà di Bruno family, Antonino Faà di Bruno was born in London, the son of Marchese Alessandro Faà di Bruno (who was the Italian consul in London at that time) and of his wife Fanny Costì. He was named after his namesake ancestor, Antonino Faà di Bruno (1762–1829), who was Bishop of Asti in the 19th century. He took up a military career, becoming a lieutenant in the grenadiers and fighting in Italian East Africa. After his retirement in 1964, with the rank of Brigadier General, Faà di Bruno started a career as an actor, working with Carlo Lizzani (La vita agra), Pier Paolo Pasolini (Pigsty), Vittorio De Sica (Lo chiameremo Andrea), Billy Wilder (Avanti!), Federico Fellini (Amarcord), Luciano Salce (Alla mia cara mamma nel giorno del suo compleanno), Mario Monicelli (We Want the Colonels).

Nevertheless, Empress Dowager had an assassin force venom down King of Zhao's throat....She then had Concubine Qi's limbs chopped off, blinded her by gouging out her eyes, cut off her tongue, cut off her nose, cut off her ears, forced her to drink a potion that made her mute, made her dumb with toxins, and locked her in the pigsty, and called her a "Human Swine" (人彘).

Following his death in 1918, the manor passed to his son Christopher William Vane, 10th Baron Barnard, who in 1930, split up the manor and sold off the plots, giving first refusal to the tenants, many of whom took the opportunity to purchase their own properties. Historically there was a standing stone within the village, thought to date from medieval times but it has recently been removedThe Megalithic Portal and Megalith Map: Ellerdine Heath Standing Stone (Menhir) In 1926, fourteen council houses were built near the village school, each with its own pigsty, they all shared a communal water pump. Twenty-eight years later in 1954 another ten homes were constructed opposite and the area received a brick water tower complete with an electric pump to supply water to all the houses. This remained in use until 1965, when mains water was piped to the village.

They follow their scarce leads to Central Park, Harlem, a ship docking at New York Harbor, and even the Statue itself, but ultimately all of them prove to be red herrings. Finally recalled by El Super because the expenses for their hotel keep mounting, Mortadelo and Filemon ditch Ofelia (who must work off their hotel bill) and return home. As soon as they are back in Spain, however, Mortadelo and Filemon stumble across the two suspects, who talk about the demolition of the statue being imminent, and take up pursuit. Strangely, they end up in a backwater village, where the mystery is finally solved: The statue in question is not the famous New York monument, but a local statue erected in honor of a former village mayor, Libertad Boñíguez, and it is meant to be blown up because it was inconveniently placed before the entrance of the village's main pigsty.

Revised: 1909 Laigh Borland was demolished in the mid 20th century and it is recorded that a 16th or 17th century datestone with the initials of the Brown family once existed above the entrance door of the attached building that was latterly a kitchen. Its relative inaccessibility due to the ford had been partly overcome by a hardcore access from Over Borland however it had fallen into disrepair and the council required its demolition on safety grounds as a public access still existed via North Borland with a pedestrian crossing at the ford for footpath walkers, the concrete bases used as handrails supports are still present. The workers cottages, one occupied by Mrs Watt, were thatched up until demolition and an associated small ruined building, probably a pigsty, still exists partly built into the hillside. The family grave of the Watt family records that Martha Watt née Stevenson died in 1916 at Laigh Borland at the age of 81.

Turner left the band after this album, and Bill Cole took his place as the fourth member of the band for their second album, Piggery Jokery, also on The Village Thing, in 1971. This album featured an early Rodney Matthews cover, and was recorded in front of an audience in Cornwall, resulting in an authentic recreation of their stage act. Back then left, being replaced by Jon 'Wash' Hays; Leggett left soon afterwards, leaving Creech the only survivor of the original line-up. Various personnel came and went; Dave Paskett (born David Paskett Smith, 3 June 1944, Potters Bar, Hertfordshire), Richie Gould, Pat Small and Henry Davies, plus guitarists Chris Newman (born Christopher Newman, 3 October 1952, Stevenage, Hertfordshire) and Robert Greenfield (born 14 May 1949, Norfolk) came on board plus, occasionally, the guitarist Diz Disley, all of whom appeared on the next album, The Pigsty Hill Light Orchestra, in 1976.

This followed an earlier hit single with Drink Up Thy Zider, an unofficial West Country anthem, especially among supporters of Bristol City Football Club. This gained notoriety when the BBC refused to play its B-side song, Twice Daily, due to concern about the unseemly subject matter (a shotgun wedding). "Combine Harvester" itself was a reworded version of Melanie's Brand New Key and other songs borrowed the style and made fun of the themes of Country and Western and other US and British popular music. She has worked for Luis Buñuel in Viridiana, Sergio Leone in A Fistful of Dollars, Pier Paolo Pasolini in Pigsty, the Taviani brothers in The Night of the Shooting Stars, Kaos and Good Morning Babylon; Nanni Moretti in La messa è finita; and in Claude Berri's diptych Jean de Florette and Manon des Sources. She worked with the theater director Miguel Narros in Fedra, by Miguel de Unamuno (1957); Three Sisters, by Anton Chekhov (1960); Fröken Julie, by August Strindberg (1961); La camisa, by Lauro Olmo (1962); El caballero de Olmedo, by Lope de Vega and La dama duende, by Pedro Calderón de la Barca. She returned in 1988 with Miguel Narros in the plays Long Day's Journey into Night, by Eugene O'Neill, and La vita che ti diedi, by Luigi Pirandello.
