The forewings are dark fuscous closely speckled with whitish in a fine transverse series, a spot of pencilling in the middle of the base and straight transverse slender blackish fasciae at one-third and two-thirds edged with iridescent greenish-coppery-metallic streaks, the margins of the second confluent above and below the middle and with the posterior projection in the middle. There is a greenish-coppery-metallic terminal fascia, widest at the extremities and with the anterior edge concave, ending abruptly just above the tornus, cut by seven irregular longitudinal blackish marks. Hester's pencilling credits include Swamp Thing, Brave New World, Flinch, Ultimate Marvel Team-Up, Clerks: The Lost Scene, The Crow: Waking Nightmares, The Wretch (nominated for the 1997 Eisner Award for Best New Series), Aliens: Purge, and Green Arrow. During his run on Green Arrow, he created the characters Mia Dearden and Onomatopoeia with writer Kevin Smith as well as Constantine Drakon with writer Judd Winick. Hester co-created Uncle Slam and Firedog with his Green Arrow collaborator, artist Ande Parks. He also created El Diablo, a new character (with a common name in DC Comics) who debuted in an eponymous limited series.

Gregory "Greg" Capullo (; born March 30, 1962) is an American comic book artist and penciller, best known for his work on Quasar (1991–1992), X-Force (1992–1993), Angela (1994), Spawn (1993–2000, 2003–2004) and Batman (2011–2016). Greg Capullo also published his own creator-owned comic, The Creech, published through Image Comics. These were two three-issue miniseries. Apart from comics, Capullo has been involved in several projects such as pencilling for the Iced Earth albums The Dark Saga and Something Wicked This Way Comes, the Korn album Follow the Leader and the Disturbed album, Ten Thousand Fists.

He recalled he spent three weeks as a ghost artist pencilling over Jules Feiffer's layouts on Will Eisner's newspaper-insert comics feature The Spirit. As he recalled the experience, Around this time, Perlin, Morisi and Sy Barry rented a one-room studio near Cooper Union in Manhattan for $35 a month, later renting space to artist Al Gordon. The group gave up the studio in 1953 when Perlin was drafted into the United States Army. From 1955 to 1958, Perlin concentrated on war comics for Charlton Comics, while also turning in the occasional assignment for Atlas.

Adrian Alphona is a Canadian comic book artist best known for his work on Marvel Comics' Runaways, which he co-created with writer Brian K. Vaughan. Slated to be pencilling the second volume of Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane when writer Terry Moore took over writing duties from Sean McKeever, Alphona instead chose to leave comics entirely, only supplying the covers for the new series, whilst art duties were handed over to Craig Rousseau. However, Alphona made a return to comics in June 2009, doing art for the Captain Britain and MI: 13 annual. He later drew Uncanny X-Force alongside Ron Garney.

Before he had finished the interior art for the first issue, Pérez completed the pencils for the covers of the first four issues so they could be used as promotional material. However, some characters, like Thor and Quasar, were wearing outdated costumes on the cover of issue three and had to be redrawn, which frustrated Pérez. Starlin, who wrote the scripts months in advance, also had to make minor adjustments to account for changes in these characters and the Hulk. During production, Pérez was also pencilling War of the Gods for DC Comics, a Wonder Woman miniseries he described as a "highly stressful" project.

Mark D. Bright is an American comic book and storyboard artist. Sometimes credited as Doc Bright (a play on his initials), he is best known for pencilling the Marvel Comics Iron Man story Armor Wars, the two Green Lantern: Emerald Dawn miniseries for DC Comics, for painting the cover to Marvel Comics' Transformers #5 and for co-creating Quantum and Woody with writer Christopher J. Priest. Bright later became a freelance storyboard artist, although he and Priest reunited for a five-issue Quantum and Woody miniseries published by the new incarnation of Valiant Comics in 2014–2015, but set in the continuity of the original Quantum and Woody series.

In 2010, she began production on her independently published graphic novel series, VARULV, which became the premier comic book released by her own Gloryhound Network in February 2011. In 2012 she created a limited print-edition of her serial Daemonology under the Glodyhound name. In 2013 Sylvanna was also added to the roster as a joint-effort between her and Sonic writer, Ian Flynn after it successfully was funded via Kickstarter in one night, and went on to double its original funding goal. Best cites Patrick Spaziante, one of her peers while working for Archie Comics, as one of her main influences in the art of cartooning and pencilling.

The entire series was written by Michelinie (though the never properly published #14 was credited to Tom DeFalco) and Chan remained on the title up to #7, with Keith Giffen taking over pencilling duties with #8. With the addition of Giffen, the series began to incorporate some science fiction elements, moving away from its pure sword and sorcery beginnings. The relaunch of the series lasted just three issues, as it was suddenly cancelled with #12 (September 1978) as part of the "DC Implosion" when DC's comics line was drastically cut. The cancellation was so sudden that two further issues of the series had been fully written and drawn.

Hamilton has drawn numerous comics, including The Trouble with Girls and Welcome Back, Mr. Moto. He also adapted and illustrated Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island for Puffin Graphics and filling in pencilling Nikolai Dante for 2000 AD. His most recent work was adapting Ray Bradbury's novel Fahrenheit 451 for Hill & Wang. Hamilton is also a founding member of the online comics collaborative ACT-I-VATE, where he has serialized his stories Pet Sitter and Adventures of the Floating Elephant. Hamilton's illustrations have been published by The New York Times, Nickelodeon Magazine, Byron Preiss Visual Publications, Cicada magazine, DC Comics, Dark Horse Comics, King Features, KPR Inc.

Booth designed the cover of the Dynamite Entertainment horror comic Vampire Huntress Neteru. He illustrated DC Comics' Justice League of America, with author James Robinson (comics), series from issue #54 until #60, the title's final issue. On July 6, 2011 it was announced that Booth will be handling the pencilling duties on the new Teen Titans #1 that comes out as part of The New 52. Booth also drew for Kyle Higgin's NightwingDc comics 2012 Booth stated to Newsarama that he had been pushing for Wally West to enter the New 52 for a while, and became the artist for Flash Annual 3, the first New 52 appearance of Wally.

In 1988, he self-published a series titled Playground; it was his first published work. From 1990 through 1992, he drew several issues of Rock 'N' Roll Comics for Revolutionary Comics, including issues on Prince, 2 Live Crew and Public Enemy, ZZ Top, Anthrax, and more. He worked at several smaller comic book companies before being hired by DC Comics in 1993. Since then, Immonen has drawn such high-profile characters as Superman, the Hulk, and the X-Men. His work since 2004 includes stints on the titles Ultimate Fantastic Four and Ultimate X-Men with writers Warren Ellis and Brian K. Vaughan, as well as a 12-issue run pencilling Nextwave, which again paired him with Warren Ellis.

The central bay one-story porch, not original, has heavy Doric paneled posts and pilasters, a denticulated frieze and cornice, and a balustraded parapet. Brick chimneys are flush with the five-step gabled ends of the front rectangular section of the house. The northeast gable end elevation of this two-story section of the house has no structural openings; the opposite, or southwest, gable end elevation has two 2/2 light rectangular windows on the first story and two shorter like windows placed directly above on 'the second story. "Pencilling traces" on the brick mortar consisting of names and dates are very apparent on the south back porch, east side porch, and north front porch.

Today, its sleek, Pininfarina- designed lines and relatively limited production numbers have made many enthusiasts consider it a classic. It has not been universally admired however, and is listed at #18 in the BBC's book of "Crap Cars" and Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear described it as "awful in every way".BBC Top Gear. Season 15 Episode 6 However, there have been many other favorable articles about the 400 series in the motoring press, including an outlying view expressed by UK motoring journalist L. J. K. Setright in CAR magazine in August 1984, who described it as "one of the few most beautiful, and one of the two most elegant, bodies ever to leave the lead of Pininfarina's pencilling vision".

Peterson's early works for Marvel include a New Warriors annual and a fill-in in X-Factor in 1992.The Unofficial Handbook of Marvel Comics Creators Later in the year, he had a short run in Uncanny X-Men, drawing the title's issues of the "X-Cutioner's Song" storyline. Peterson left Marvel to join Top Cow, pencilling the ongoing title Codename: Strykeforce. He left Marvel once more to become Art Director of CrossGen Comics,The Brandon Peterson Gallery » About Brandon Peterson but returned for another stint on Ultimate X-Men and the mini-series Ultimate Vision and Strange.

Perlin penciled Transformers for nearly two years from early 1986 to late 1987, and then became Marvel's de facto managing art director, a role he served from 1987-1991: He joined Jim Shooter's Valiant Comics in 1991, pencilling the series Solar, Man of the Atom and Bloodshot and editing Solar, Man of the Atom, Shadowman, and Magnus Robot Fighter. Shortly after Valiant's mid-1990s takeover by Acclaim Entertainment, Perlin went into semi-retirement.

Tan was born in Teluk Intan and began working in the Malaysian comics industry in the early 1990s under the pen name Kutu (Malaysian for "lice") with publications such as Gempak, Genocide, and Red Hunter. His art style has been influenced by American, European, and Hong Kong wuxia styles. After meeting DC Comics publisher Andy Helfer at a conference on Asian comics in 2001, he was offered a job pencilling the newest incarnation of the Doom Patrol, written by John Arcudi. Doom Patrol was cancelled after 22 issues and Tan was offered work on The Authority and JLA for DC. After several years at DC, Tan started working for Marvel Comics in 2006 with Silver Surfer: In Thy Name and Ghost Rider.

Lapham began working on more mainstream comics work from 2005 onwards, writing a story arc for Top Cow Comics' The Darkness ("Hell House", vol. 2, #17–20), a 12-part Batman storyline in Detective Comics ("City of Crime" #801–808 and 811–814) for DC Comics and writing and pencilling the six- part Daredevil Vs. Punisher: Means And Ends limited series for Marvel Comics. In late 2006, Marvel released Giant-Size Wolverine #1, with a 34-page Lapham story illustrated by David Aja, and DC began releasing Tales of the Unexpected with an eight-issue arc starring the Spectre, which was also written by Lapham. Vertigo published the original graphic novel Silverfish in July 2007, and he drew Terror, Inc.

Most artists, however — even experienced inkers of their own work like Lou Fine, Reed Crandall, Will Eisner, and Alex Toth — at times hired or allowed other artists to ink their drawings. Some artists could make more money by pencilling more pages and leaving the inking to others; different artists with different working methods might find it more profitable to both pencil and ink, as they could place less information and detail in the pencil drawings if they were inking it themselves and could put that detail in at the inking stage. Due to the absence of credits on most Golden Age comic books, many inkers of that period are largely forgotten. For those whose names are known, it is difficult to compile résumés.

To celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the original Crisis, DC published Geoff Johns' Infinite Crisis limited series (Dec. 2005-June 2006), for which Ordway provided the artwork for the flashback scenes set on Earth-Two, including a recreation of the cover to Action Comics #1, which he cites as another favorite piece of his. Brazelton cites comic books as the chief influence on his art style. Though an ardent admirer of Bill Watterson, Brazelton claimed he could not cite the artist as an influence, opining the skill of the former far outstripped that of himself; instead, he believes that Bill Amend is the professional comic artist whose style he most emulates. Despite drawing Theater Hopper in a traditional comic strip format, it was never Beazelton's intent to have it published as such (in a newspaper). Since 2003, Brazelton's comic-creation process involved pencilling and inking the strip (with Micron pens) before scanning them into Paint Shop Pro to color them; by December 2006 he had switched to the Adobe Photoshop program, and was spending less time on the process of creating the comic and instead polishing it with his increasing software skill.

Farmer got his start in the UK comics industry before becoming part of the British Invasion, the wave of UK creators that were an integral part of the DC Comics "new look" of the 1980s He is primarily known these days as an inker, although he has done some pencilling as well (for instance, collaborating with writer Len Wein on an early 1980s run on Green Lantern). Like nearly all those involved in the British Invasion, Farmer got his start at the British weekly comic 2000 AD, where he pencilled such series as Judge Dredd and Anderson: Psi Division. Farmer usually forms a team with writer/penciler Alan Davis. The pair, who first teamed on 1987's D.R. and Quinch for 2000 AD, have worked together on such titles as Marvel Comics' Excalibur, Avengers, Fantastic Four and Uncanny X-Men.

Mahnke was an important collaborator with writer Grant Morrison on DC's event series Final Crisis, pencilling the Requiem one-shot and the two-issue Superman Beyond 3D tie-in. Mahnke also pencilled the final pages of the main series' 6th issue featuring the "death" of Batman, and replaced artist J. G. Jones entirely on the series finale issue #7 over concerns of Jones' speed.J.G. In the early 2000s, Bachalo completed occasional work on various X-Men series, including Ultimate X-Men, Ultimate War, Grant Morrison's New X-Men (collected in New X-Men vol. 5: Assault on Weapon Plus) and the sequel to the Age of Apocalypse crossover. Bachalo was also the artist on Captain America for 6 issues (#21–26, running December 2003–May 2004 cover dates) pencilling a divisive run written by Robert Morales. In an attempt to humanize Steve Rogers, the pair managed to split fans' opinions fairly resoundingly, with both creators leaving the title — Morales ten issues short of his intended contract for the series. From 2006 to 2008, Bachalo was the artist for the X-Men title along with new writer Mike Carey after completing his final story arc for Uncanny X-Men (#472–474).

Jurgens was the penciller of the 1991 limited series Armageddon 2001 and co- created the hero Waverider with Archie Goodwin.Manning "1990s" in Dolan, p. 250: "Armageddon 2001 was the DC Comics event of the summer...Written by Archie Goodwin and Denny O'Neil, and drawn by penciler Dan Jurgens, Armageddon 2001 chronicled the birth of time-traveling hero Waverider." This caused Englehart to take his name entirely off the book. He used the pseudonym John Harkness, which he had created years before for work he didn't want to be associated with.
