Modern glitch hop artists routinely receive criticism for using the term glitch hop when the current style of the musical genre does not sound like a glitch or instrumental hip hop. Despite the criticism received from traditional glitch hop fans, many glitch hop artists have had profitable careers. Popular modern glitch hop artists include David Tipper, The Glitch Mob, KOAN Sound, Pegboard Nerds, Pretty Lights, GRiZ, TheFatRat, JPEGMAFIA, Jersus, Wolfsonbience, and Hefe Heetroc.

Racknitz was wrong both about the position of the operator and the dimensions of the automaton. The interior also contained a pegboard chess board connected to a pantograph-style series of levers that controlled the model's left arm. The metal pointer on the pantograph moved over the interior chessboard, and would simultaneously move the arm of the Turk over the chessboard on the cabinet.

The Wonder Loom is a plastic pegboard style loom measuring by with 3 rows of 13 pegs each. Colorful elastics are placed on the pins and then looped using a hooked picking tool. This produces strings of interconnected loops called Brunnian links, which depending on the pattern used, forms jewelry, headbands, keychains, action figures or other shapes when removed. The Wonder Loom kit includes a loom, which features patented channels and flanges to make the looping easier, a picking tool, C-clip fasteners and an assortment of 600 rubber bands.

Alexander Odden and Michael Parsberg of Pegboard Nerds initially sent a concept for the collaboration to Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen of Knife Party, which Swire immediately recorded vocals for. Odden and Parsberg liked the vocals and flew to London for a week to work on the collaboration with Swire and McGrillen in the latter's studio. The song title comes from the main melody used in the song, which Odden and Parsberg described as a harp or middle eastern instrument. Odden briefly saved the melody as "Superharp", though he disliked the name and changed it to "Harpoon".

The icosian game is a mathematical game invented in 1857 by William Rowan Hamilton. The game's object is finding a Hamiltonian cycle along the edges of a dodecahedron such that every vertex is visited a single time, and the ending point is the same as the starting point. The puzzle was distributed commercially as a pegboard with holes at the nodes of the dodecahedral graph and was subsequently marketed in Europe in many forms. The motivation for Hamilton was the problem of symmetries of an icosahedron, for which he invented icosian calculus—an algebraic tool to compute the symmetries.

Stahlberg vehicles were pre-assembled promotional models. Available mainly through car dealerships in Europe and the U.S., models were produced from about 1965 to about 1990. Usually Stahlbergs were packaged in a clear plastic bag (poly-bagged), though later models did come in blue and white boxes. One writer reminisces that when at the Volvo dealer with his father as a child, he remembers the models often would be "hanging on the pegboard behind the service desk" (Klockau 2012). Some standard Swedish models produced by Stahlberg were the Volvo 120–122 series (Amazon), 142 series, 164 series, 200 series, 700 series, and 66 / 300 series (DAFs).

It is commonly used in retail settings along with steel rods sticking out to hold peggable products such as bagged potato chips, printer ink, and action figures.

The clown was most often printed in red, and was even used for company Christmas cards once upon a time (Jordan 2015). The logo was probably OK from the 1930s through the 1960s, but as an advertising gimmick, the design would probably would not work well with children today. Some of the early cars and trucks were offered in plastic bags stapled to attached red cardboard pegboard- punched hangers marked with the Fun Ho! logo. Midget Toy boxes were very similar to earlier British Budgie Toys with red and yellow alternate colors on sides – and also in that the Midget Toys logo was portrayed in 'portrait' style with box stood on end.

In 1969, Toynton became the visiting artist at Ohio State University in America; he was then Chairman of the Art Department at the University of Victoria. Later he moved to Boston and became Chair of Fine Art at the Massachusetts College of Art. During the 70s, he created a number of large installation pieces for solo exhibitions at the Whitechapel Gallery in London, the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston and the Williams College Museum of Art. At the end of this decade he returned to creating smaller paintings, working with the same material he had begun using in his installations: Masonite pegboard, which he described as "moribund, Orwellian…standing for everything that 'threatens to destroy painting, the most individualistic, human activity I know of".

On May 29, 2016, prior to the premiere of season eight, NBC aired a two-hour all-star special in which hosts Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbaja-Biamila chose their own all-star teams composed of three veterans, one rookie, and one woman. Teams competed on stages two, three, and four of the regular season finals course, Mt. Midoriyama, as well as competitions on a supersized course that tested their skills in competitions on the giant pegboard, 40-foot Salmon Ladder, Flying Shelf Grab, and Jump Hang, concluding with a race to the top of the "Mega" Warped Wall. The all-star winners were Team Akbar, who won the team competition by beating Team Matt 5-3. Joe Moravsky completed Stage 2 in a record time of 1:08:52.

The bass type, similarly to the theorbo and other baroque lutes, has a vaulted body (shell) constructed of separate ribs, a flat soundboard with either a carved rose or one which is inset into the soundhole, and a bridge (without a saddle) consisting of a wooden bar acting as a string-holder glued to the soundboard. Unique to this instrument is the neck, which is long enough to allow for ten to 12 tied gut frets. The pegbox is either straight and set at a sharp angle to the neck (much like a lute pegbox), or gently curving and set at a shallow angle, either case being fitted with laterally-inserted tuning pegs (although sometimes a flat pegboard with sagittal pegs is found). The strings were of gut and are strung either singly or, especially on Italian instruments, in double courses.

In February 2014, Marquee Las Vegas announced that Cash Cash will take part in a 2014 residency at their nightclub and dayclub. On March 27, 2014, Cash Cash received an IDMA at Winter Music Conference for "Best Break-Through Artist (Group)." Following their appearance at Winter Music Conference in Miami, the group played an international show in Montreal, Canada at New City Gas on April 19, 2014. The trio performed at various music festivals in the spring of 2014, including the Avila Beach Party on May 23, 2014, Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) New York on May 24, 2014, Sunset Music Festival (SMF) in Tampa, FL on May 25, 2014, Firefly Music Festival on June 20, 2014, and Paradiso Festival in Washington on June 27, 2014. Cash Cash along with Candyland, Pegboard Nerds, and 12th Planet played an event together called "Beach Blanket Bingo" in Wildwood, New Jersey on June 28, 2014.
