On 18 November 2010, Sannikov was officially registered as a candidate. On 29 November 2010, Sannikov organized a meeting at his alma mater Minsk State Linguistic University, and about 500 people took part. There were attempts to hinder the meeting; flyers were torn down, the administration was prohibited from placing messages on the notice board the day of the meeting, and professors stated they had been warned "it is better not to attend" by university staff. Students from other universities and citizens attended as well.
Radio Blue Mountains 89.1 works closely with the all sections of the Blue Mountains community. In March 2012, guitarist Jens Volpp, a mechanical engineering student at the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences placed an advertisement on the notice board of the university for founding a "hard rock/indie rock band". An amphitheatre was built outside the city walls, close to the East Gate, in around 80 AD. The area is now a park, but the site of the amphitheatre is discernible as a gentle bank approximately oval in shape; a notice board in the park gives more information. Rødven Stave Church is no longer actively used and it has been owned by the Society for the Preservation of Norwegian Ancient Monuments since 1907, when a new Rødven Church was built next to this church building. Although it is a museum, it does have one worship service each year on Olsok, the eve of St. Olav's Day. According to a notice board outside the church, the nave and south porch date from the 14th century, the crucifix dates from the 13th century and the pulpit from 1712. The Damascus CCC Camp, Co. No. 3781 was a Civilian Conservation Corps encampment on Camp Hill Road in Damascus, Arkansas. Today, only three elements of the camp infrastructure survive: a large two-span stone arch that originally marked the camp entrance, a smaller arch that was used as a notice board, and a well. All were built in 1935 or 1936. At the center of the original camp property is a single-story brick ranch house, built in 1951 by the regionally noted stonemason Silas Owens, Sr. The camp site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Lawrence Joseph Mullen Jr. (; born 31 October 1961) is an Irish musician and actor, best known as the drummer and co-founder of the rock band U2. Mullen's distinctive, almost military drumming style developed from his playing martial beats in childhood marching bands. Some of his most notable contributions to the U2 catalogue include "Sunday Bloody Sunday", "Pride (In the Name of Love)", "Where the Streets Have No Name", "Zoo Station," "Mysterious Ways", and "City of Blinding Lights".
