The small core group of engineers and scientists, numbering about 20, produced 4 fellows in major American computer companies (2 of whom were Eckert-Mauchly Award winners), several founders of successful startups, and leaders of major development efforts at large companies. The only nontechnical person in the core group, hired out of business school, went on to lead corporate development at a major research lab. As Multiflow grew, it continued the tradition of hiring highly talented people: as one example, the documentation writer became one of the most influential editors in computer publishing.

In reality, custom code is often a greater security risk than platform code which has been validated by its consistent use across multiple applications. No-code solutions allow platforms to hide what happens behind the scenes from users, so that end-users can change or modify a field without manipulating the functionality of the app and compromising security.

Forellen Peak () is located in the Teton Range, Grand Teton National Park, in the U.S. state of Wyoming. The peak is in the northern section of the range, and rises abruptly more than above Owl Creek. Unlike the more impressive sections of the Teton Range to the south, Forellen Peak is subdued and the hike to the summit from the north is nontechnical, yet requires many miles of off-trail hiking. Access is best via the Berry Creek trail which can be reached by hiking south from the John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Memorial Parkway or by boat across the northern end of Jackson Lake.

Intelligent Design: The Bridge Between Science and Theology is a 1999 book by the mathematician William A. Dembski, in which the author presents an argument in support of intelligent design. Dembski defines the term "specified complexity", and argues that instances of it in nature cannot be explained by Darwinian evolution, but instead are consistent with the intelligent design. He also derives an instance of his self-declared law of conservation of information and uses it to argue against Darwinian evolution. The book is a summary treatment of the mathematical theory he presents in The Design Inference (1998), and is intended to be largely understandable by a nontechnical audience.

While the peak is arguably California's easiest fourteener via the jeep road, it features more strenuous climbs such as its western ridge, an climb out of Owens Valley via a steep ridge from the end of a rough road. The peak is rarely approached from the north where it is guarded by a narrow arête or knife-edge ridge. A better nontechnical alternative to the jeep road would be to drive as far as possible up Leidy Canyon from Fish Lake Valley, then take a graded cattle trail up the broad ridge to Perry Aiken Flat. From the flats it is an easy traverse south into the cirque of the North Fork, North Branch of Perry Aiken Creek.

They were marketed to consumers as affordable and accessible computers that, for the first time, were intended for the use of a single nontechnical user. These computers were a distinct market segment that typically cost much less than business, scientific or engineering-oriented computers of the time such as those running CP/M or the IBM PC, and were generally less powerful in terms of memory and expandability. However, a home computer often had better graphics and sound than contemporary business computers.

As young people are more likely than other demographic groups to lack a conventional "landline" phone, a telephone poll that exclusively surveys responders of calls landline phones, may cause the poll results to undersample the views of young people, if no other measures are taken to account for this skewing of the sampling. Thus, a poll examining the voting preferences of young people using this technique may not be a perfectly accurate representation of young peoples' true voting preferences as a whole without overgeneralizing, because the sample used excludes young people that carry only cell phones, who may or may not have voting preferences that differ from the rest of the population. Overgeneralization often occurs when information is passed through nontechnical sources, in particular mass media.

In the New England Magazine for 1898, her illustrated article on General Nathanael Greene appeared as a brief biography tracing the development of General Greene's character and attempting to show what it was that made him a military genius. The Woman's Baptist Foreign Missionary Society published two small pamphlets written by Greene: "The Primer of Missions" in 1896 and "Women's Missionary Wills and Bonds" in 1902. Greene said, "If I get interested in any subject, legal, patriotic, or missionary, I have to deliver addresses and publish articles about it." The University of São Paulo, in São Paulo, Brazil, is one of the most highly esteemed university institutions in the region of Mercosur. Based on the premise that education is a fundamental factor in the regional integration process, educational courses at the primary or junior high level, provided that they do not entail technical studies, will be recognized by member states as being on the same level for all member nations. Likewise, to facilitate continuing education, course certificates issued by an institution accredited in one of the member states is valid in all other member states. Nontechnical primary and junior high level studies that have not been completed are accredited by any member state, thereby allowing course conclusion in another member nation.

As Heinz Heckhausen has pointed out this work is a masterpiece for those who come to it without an intense background in the psychology of perception; in a nontechnical style Metzger moves the reader toward a deeper experience, and sometimes an altered conception, of the visual world. Following World War II Metzger devoted increasing energy to applied questions, especially those having to do with child-rearing, classroom education, and psychotherapy. His guiding principles in these applied endeavors were developed in his last two books, Schöpferische Freiheit (Productive freedom, 1949, 1962) and Psychologie in der Erziehung (Psychology in education, 1971).

Installer VISE was an installer maker that supported Mac OS 9, Mac OS X, and Windows by MindVision Software. Steve Kiene, the founder of MindVision, had done software work in the area of data compression, producing the Application VISE executable compressor for the Mac platform and a disk compression software implementation; the latter was released as Stacker after having been acquired by Stac Electronics. Installer VISE (which was first called Developer VISE) initially arose from some add-on software extensions that Kiene had developed for use with the Installer software from Apple. Originally created Mac-only, Installer VISE was one of the most popular installer makers for the platform around 2006 given its visual interface that made the software easy to use by nontechnical persons in addition to its extensive features.

Since 1999, Fraknoi has organized and moderated the Silicon Valley Astronomy Lecture Series where noted Fraknoi hosting Silicon Valley Lecture Series 2017 astronomers from around California and the nation give nontechnical public talks on new developments in our exploration of the universe in the large Smithwick Theater at Foothill College. Cosponsored by NASA's Ames Research Center, the SETI Institute, and the Astronomical Society of the Pacific, the talks, attended by 400 to 900+ people each time, have featured Nobel laureates, members of the National Academy of Sciences, and many other distinguished scientists. Some lectures have been taped and are available on YouTube. Fraknoi has served on the Board of Trustees of the SETI Institute, a scientific and educational organization devoted to the search for life in the universe, since its inception in 1985.
