He is happily alone in the first class carriage when a girl jumps onto the train begging to be hidden. George chivalrously hides her under the train seat before a moustached foreign man appears at the window and "demands" his niece back. George calls a platform guard who detains the foreign man, and the train departs. The girl introduces herself as Elizabeth but tells George that she can't give him an explanation of her actions.

However, their ability to adapt gives hope that this factor will not severely affect their population numbers. Moustached tamarin monkeys select densely foliated areas for resting and sleeping to best camouflage themselves because their small size makes them an easy target. Their main tactic is to avoid predation by attracting as little attention as possible. Their predators include eagles and other birds of prey, snakes, tayras, jaguarundis, ocelots and other wild cats.

During its German occupation, the area around Neu-Hornow (modern Shume) was used for lumber exports along the Usambara Railway.

Khao Soi Dao Wildlife Sanctuary is home to many bird species. Here Siamese Fireback, the national bird of Thailand. Khao Soi Dao Wildlife Sanctuary is the only IBA in Thailand supporting the globally endangered Chestnut-headed Partridge (Arborophila cambodiana), but it is home to many more bird species of importance to global conservation. This includes Siamese Fireback (Lophura diardi), Great Hornbill (Buceros bicornis) and Moustached Hawk Cuckoo (Hierococcyx vagans), all of which are near-threatened on a global level.

The wetlands serve as feeding and resting- places for the common pochard, great cormorant, great crested grebe, eurasian coot and black-headed gull. The reed beds are used by common moorhen, water rail, hen harrier, western marsh harrier, moustached warbler and remiz pendulinus. The marshes offer feeding sites for the little egret, grey plover, european golden plover and dunlin. Most of the waterbirds are concentrated in the coastal marshes such as the eurasian curlew, common redshank and sandwich tern.

Bleep and Booster is a children's cartoon series by William Timym (pronounced Tim) originally shown on the BBC's Blue Peter. A total of 313 five-minute episodes were released between 1964 and 1977. Bleep is an alien from the planet Miron/Myron with a spaceship, whilst Booster is a young human who travels with Bleep performing galactic missions for Bleep's moustached father. The planet Miron/Myron is portrayed as being built almost entirely out of chrome, with its capital at Miron/Myron City.

Oliver's film roles included ABBA: The Movie (1977). His primary role in the film is as ABBA's gruff bodyguard; however, he additionally appears in the film as a barman and as a chatty moustached taxi driver shown mainly from behind. Huginn and Muninn's role as Odin's messengers has been linked to shamanic practices, the Norse raven banner, general raven symbolism among the Germanic peoples, and the Norse concepts of the fylgja and the hamingja.

The figures, animals, plants all are entirely classical but they are scattered before a plain background. The portrait of a moustached man, probably a Gothic chieftain, is considered the most important surviving mosaic of the Justinianian age.

Vladimir Vasilyevich Lebedev — () (14 (26) May 1891, in Saint Petersburg - 21 November 1967) was a Soviet painter and graphic artist. He became famous for his exceptional illustrations of the poems of the prominent poet and translator Samuil Marshak, such as Circus, Ice Cream, Tale About a Foolish Mouse, Moustached and Striped, Book of Many Colours, Twelve Months and Luggage. As a young boy, Lebedev started to paint postcards that were sold in a shop in Saint Petersburg. At the age of nineteen, he held his first exhibit at the Academy of Fine Arts.

Gum feeding is seasonal, however it is a dietary staple during dry and early wet seasons when other resources are scarce. Exudates supplement nutrients and balance mineral intake; which prevent the species from experiencing a range of detrimental effects from a low-calcium and high-phosphorus insectivorous diet. They display a highly opportunistic foraging pattern, and the ratio and variety of their comestibles depend on the availability in their geographical location. Moustached tamarins select trees by the amount of nectar they yield, rather than proximity to their home range.

These include the Cauca guan (Penelope perspicax), restricted to a few remnants of humid forest at elevations from on both sides of the valley. There are two notable human characters: Florence (Margote), a young girl; and Mr Rusty (le Père Pivoine), the elderly moustached operator of the roundabout. The Biaka (Bayaka) and Baka pygmies of the northern Congo basin relate tales of the Mokèlé-mbèmbé, a legendary, dinosaur-like creature purportedly inhabiting the Lake Tele region of the Republic of the Congo (ROC). It is thought to feed on Landolphia, a type of liana. Other denizens of the ROC include moustached guenons, crowned guenons, red colobus monkeys, okapis and the blue duiker. Figs sustain great blue turacos, black mangabeys and various hornbills. The forests of Tanzania’s Gombe National Park support common chimpanzees and the bais of Dzanga-Sangha National Park in the Central African Republic support numbers of forest elephant.

Vanhojapoikia viiksekkäitä ("Moustached Bachelors") is a Finnish song composed and performed in by Juha Vainio. Released as a single in 1982 and the opening track to his 1983 album Sellaista elämä on, and remains one of his most popular songs to this day. The song's lyrics tell the sad life stories of Nestori Miikkulainen, an old bachelor living on a rocky island in Lake Saimaa, and a lonely seal who lives in the waters near Nestori's cabin and comes to visit him when the old man plays his harmonica. The song's central themes are the depopulation of rural Finland, and nature preservation: the two protagonists are both said to be members of an endangered species.

The number of gorillas in Odzala- Kokoua has since increased, following efforts by conservation organizations and at least one tourism company to preserve and rehabilitate the park. A survey of diurnal primates, conducted during the mid 1990s, showed significant monkey populations in Republic of the Congo's forest region. Sighted species included the western lowland gorilla and central chimpanzee, as well as eight monkeys: Angolan talapoin, black crested mangabey, crested mona monkey, De Brazza's monkey, greater spot-nosed monkey, mantled guereza, moustached guenon, and Tana River mangabey. The number of gorilla nests were highest in the park's open-canopy Marantaceae forest; chimpanzee nests were most abundant in closed-canopy primary and Marantaceae forests.

The endemic black squirrel monkey (Saimiri vanzolinii) 199 species of mammals are found in the region, fewer than in the surrounding terra firme forests. There are no ground-dwelling species in flooded várzea forests isolated from the mainland, but areas of várzea in contact with terra firme forests house ground-dwelling mammals that migrate to higher ground in the flood periods. There are two endemic primates in the Mamirauá Sustainable Development Reserve, the bald uakari (Cacajao calvus) and black squirrel monkey (Saimiri vanzolinii). The reserve is also home to white-footed saki (Pithecia albicans), emperor tamarin (Saguinus imperator), moustached tamarin (Saguinus mystax), Nancy Ma's night monkey (Aotus nancymaae) and Hershkovitz's titi (Callicebus dubius).

The Guadalcanal Watersheds form a site that has been identified by BirdLife International as an Important Bird Area (IBA) because it supports populations of threatened or endemic bird species. At 376,146 ha, it covers some 70% of the island, extending along the southern coast inland to the central highlands, it contains riverine and lowland tropical rainforest as well as the greatest contiguous area of cloud forest in the Solomons. Although it also contains gardens and old village sites, most of it has never been permanently inhabited. Significant birds for which the site was identified include chestnut-bellied imperial pigeons, Woodford's rails, Guadalcanal moustached kingfishers, Meek's lorikeets, Guadalcanal honeyeaters, Guadalcanal thicketbirds and Guadalcanal thrushes.

Bocquet moved to Dresden in 1900 and whilst earning his living as a teacher of Music and Mathematics entered the city's bohemian artistic circle. His compositions date from 1902, writing virtuoso piano pieces and Lieder drawn from the poetry of Baudelaire, Herman Hesse, Friedrich Nietzsche, Max Dauthendey and others. The British composer Arnold Bax who had known Bocquet at the Royal Academy, spent some time with him during a visit to Dresden in 1906 and described him thus: 'Roland Bocquet was the writer of many very skilful but clearly Strauss-derived lieder. Noticeably handsome, black-haired and moustached, blue-eyed, straight of nose and with a peculiarly beautiful speaking voice, he'd been settled in Dresden for some years and spoke German like a native.

These included a claimed white-tailed eagle, which broke into a chicken-run in a garden and stole a chicken, three little crakes, three Eurasian scops owls, the only late December record of tawny pipit, three black-eared wheatears, a record of two White's thrushes together in April, a spring lanceolated warbler, two moustached warblers and a pine grosbeak. Among other things they stop an elemental summoned as a student prank which had gone amok, confront a succubus/incubus on their honeymoon, and enter the Hell dimension to save their daughter (who has been kidnapped and taken there, with a changeling left in her crib in her place). While in Hell the protagonists are at a loss to understand the identity of a moustached man with a strange armband who speaks with a strong Germanic accent, and why the most powerful demons tremble at the sight of him, or why he uses the "ancient and honorable symbol of the fylfot". Their alternative history never had a Nazi Germany. Another part of the book features a magical analogue to the counterculture of the 1960s, presented rather facetiously (reflecting Anderson's attitude to the real-life original).

The green tinkerbird (Pogoniulus simplex) is a species of bird in the Lybiidae family (African barbets). It is found in Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, and Tanzania. The Eastern Green Tinkerbird, Pogoniulus simplex, (Fischer & Reichenow, 1884) is a small, dull-green tinkerbird that has been included in a broadly-defined tinkerbird genus Pogoniulus (Lafresnaye, 1842) by most recent authorities. The present paper, however, places simplex, and its relative leucomystax, the Moustached Green Tinkerbird, in the genus Viridibucco (Oberholser, 1905) because the plumage patterns of these two species differ markedly from other tinkerbirds and there is an indication that they have a unique, hyper-specialized diet. Until recently, the Eastern Green Tinkerbird has been known from the southern African region only on the basis of a single skin from Chicomo, Funhalouro District, Inhambane Province, Mozambique (Pinto 1959, 1960; Clancey 1971, 1996).

Surprisingly, this appears to lead to some males joining groups of other monkeys such as the black colobus Colobus satanas, where these solitary males can form strong group bonds with the non conspecific monkeys, possibly resulting in a permanent loss of mating opportunities. The social groups of crested mona monkeys will also associate with other guenon species, especially with moustached guenon Cercopithecus cephus and greater spot-nosed monkey Cercopithecus nictitans . These large mixed-species groups grant the monkeys' increasedprotection from predation, as the greater number of eyes on the sky means that the spotting of predators such as birds of prey is more likely, and it also facilitates the sharing of information between groups about the best foraging sites. The crested mona monkey is mainly frugivorous but invertebrates are also frequently taken, along with small quantities of leaves.

Julia Margaret Cameron's 1867 photograph "Iago, Study from an Italian", identified by Colin Ford as Angelo Colarossi senior Angelo was reputedly the nephew of Filippo Colarossi, a sculptor who was manager of the famous Académie Colarossi, an art school in Paris, whose students included Amedeo Modigliani and Alphonse Mucha. This claim is made in the 1929 biography of Alfred Gilbert by Isabel McAllister. Located at 10 rue de la Grande-Chaumière in Paris, France, it was established in the 19th century as an alternative to the government sanctioned École des Beaux Arts Colin Ford identifies Angelo Colarossi senior with the model in Julia Margaret Cameron's 1860s photograph 'Iago', after comparing the portrait with other likenesses of Colarossi. However the named drawing of Colarossi shows a heavily moustached man; aside from Frederick Leighton, everybody else depicted Colarossi with his moustache.

The Monkey House, which first opened in 1901 and was originally named the Primate House, closed in late February 2012 after 111 years of operation. At the time of closing, it was home to cotton-top tamarins, white-faced sakis, Wied's marmosets, moustached tamarins, black-chinned emperor tamarins, Goeldi's monkeys, and grey-handed night-monkeys, as well as Brazilian porcupines and Pallas's long-tongued bats. This was the building where Ota Benga spent most of his time during his stay at the zoo. Some of the primates that were in the now-closed exhibit have been moved to other parts of the zoo, such as the cotton-top tamarins now being found in World of Birds; others were sent to other New York City zoos, such as the sakis being moved to the Central Park Zoo.

After over 40 years working in the steel industry, he retired in 1975, with his last job being the works manager at the Milton Manufacturing Company in Pennsylvania. Three years later he moved to Washington state, where he quickly established himself in the local repertory circuit, acting with the Seattle Repertory Theatre, the Bathhouse Theater, The Empty Space, and the Tacoma Actors Guild. Badoo (portrayed by ) is an anarchist who believes in the elimination of both national and international legal frameworks, prisons, religious dogma; his more eccentric notions include the "illumination of only the walk symbols on all city corners, a complete moratorium on personal hygiene, a clothes optional society and, above all, the abolition of money." The character's wardrobe and overall look were inspired by Sid Vicious. Vito Facciolla, who had played criminals before in non-comedic films, said the directors chose him, , and because they worked well together as a trio as Vito and his henchmen, the thick-moustached, confrontational Jaroslav, an "asshole" from an Eastern European country who can barely make himself understood in Neapolitan dialect, and often lapses into a Slavic language, particularly when cursing, and Il Nero, a harmonica-playing rockabilly type and a man of "slow action". Mammals are African forest elephant (Loxodonta cyclotis), northern white rhinoceros (Ceratotherium simum cottoni), chimpanzees, forest buffalo or dwarf buffalo, forest antelopes (bongo), moustached monkey, (Cercopithecus cephus), Hyperolius viridiflavus, blue duiker (Philantomba monticola), black-cheeked white-nosed monkey (Cercopithecus ascanius), guereza (Colobus guereza), oribi (Ourebia ourebi), Angolan colobus (Colobus angolensis), Pennant's red colobus (Piliocolobus pennantii), puku (Kobus vardonii), western gorilla (Gorilla gorilla), white buffalo (Syncerus caffer), roan antelope (Hippotragus equinus), giant Lord's Derby eland (Taurotragus derbianus). Western lowland gorillas are tracked in the Dzanga-Sangha Reserve in the south of the Central African Republic, apart from witnessing elephants in groups of 30–100 bathing in mud pools and feeding. Forest elephants, heavily poached in the past, found only in the rain forests, are comparatively smaller in size in relation with the elephants found in the savanna habitat; even their ivory are stated to be harder, stronger with a different shade called the "pink or hot ivory". Likewise, forest buffaloes found here, also called the dwarf buffaloes, are shorter in size compared to those found in the savanna.
