Before starting Copper Fox, Wasmund apprenticed for six weeks at the Bowmore distillery on the Isle of Islay, learning the art of floor malting. Copper Fox was licensed to begin distilling by the Virginia ABC board in 2005 as a limited distiller (<5,000 gallons), and that year Copper Fox opened its first distillery in Sperryville, VA, in a converted apple packaging plant. Pursuing an additional location, Copper Fox purchased the historic Lord Paget Motor Inn in Williamsburg, VA, in 2015. They opened their second distillery location in July 2016, and both are operational today.

On November 5, 1978, a fire broke out in the Allen Motor Inn in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, killing 12 people and injuring five. The hotel had been the first concrete building in the state when it was built in 1858. Arson was suspected; there had been two other fires at the building in the previous two months. Frederick Weiler Blady, a 36-year-old drifter from New Jersey, was arrested and charged with arson in connection with this fire and with a previous fire at the same hotel on October 5, 1978.

In 1956, however, a new motel along what is now State Route 59 just east of the city limits opened, known as the Eastwood Motor Inn. It featured endorsement from AAA and other modern amenities like ample parking and air conditioning, which the Hotel Kent lacked. Other factors such as the decline in railroad travel and the emergence of the automobile led to a decrease in the need for regional hotels. In 1962, the hotel came under the management of Frank Ellis and was renamed Hotel Kent-Ellis.

The Avalon Motor Inn is in Eighty Four, Pennsylvania, though scenes set indoors were built as separate sets, as the inn's atmosphere could not accommodate production. Point Pleasant scenes were shot in Kittanning, Pennsylvania. The hospital scenes were filmed at St. Frances Medical Center which is now the site of Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. The collapse of the Silver Bridge was actually filmed at the Kittanning Citizens Bridge in downtown Kittanning. Scenes shot at Gordon Smallwood’s house were filmed in Washington County on Pennsylvania Route 917. Pittsburgh’s Allegheny County Airport serves as backdrop for the airfield scenes.

Many of the performers would eat at Miss Pearl's house, which was located right behind the venue on Carlisle Street. In addition to that, many of them got their hair done at Don's Doo Shop, which was and still owned by Don Williams, right around the corner on 15th Street and Susquehanna Avenue. Many of the artists stayed at the Ben Motor Inn on 22nd Street and Spring Garden. The neighborhood was often noted to be tight-knit, where many people living in the area worked in the nearby factories and knew each other by name.

Following a five-year sabbatical, Zinta starred opposite Sunny Deol as an aggressive Varanasi-based wife in Neeraj Pathak's action comedy Bhaiaji Superhit (2018). Ajit Duara of Open magazine called the film a "rude, sexist, and completely mixed-up farce" and bemoaned that the "once vivacious [Zinta] appears completely disinterested in her surroundings and in her co-actors". In 2020, Zinta appeared alongside Vir Das in an episode of the American sitcom Fresh Off the Boat, titled "The Magic Motor Inn"; she will reprise her role in a spin-off series, centered around her character's family.

Ellis later defended the verdict and sentence before the Court of Criminal Appeal, with the result that the verdict was undisturbed, but the sentence was reduced to 23 years' imprisonment, with a non-parole period of 13 years. Ellis again successfully defended the verdict before the High Court of Australia on a special leave application. Ellis was the subject of personal litigation against him and his former partners of the firm of Clarke & Gee, by a former client who alleged that one of the partners had given negligent advice in relation to the Launceston Tudor Motor Inn.

10 and finally the Clocktower development of shops, apartment and offices arranged around an Italian style courtyard complete with clocktower, in the early 1990s. Two of his churches were designed at least in part to serve Italian congregations; St Mel's in Shepparton was built to serve a Catholic congregation bolstered by significant Italian postwar migration, and St Luke's in Lalor served a local population that was 40% Italian by the 70s. Probably his most well known design, but least representative, is the Old Melbourne Motor Inn, completed in 1971'Look what's happening to the Old Melbourne', Sydney Morning Herald, 18 June 1971, p.

Financial fortunes continued to decline as two more modern motels opened in Kent: the nearby Motor Inn (later known as the Inn of Kent) in 1964 and the eight-story University Inn along South Water Street in 1970. In the 1970s, with the building in decline and the hotel operations no longer profitable, it was sold to Joseph Bujack and converted to student housing, known as the Towne House. Damage from a number of fires in the 1970s and the deteriorated state of the building led the city to condemn the upper floors in January 1979. Those floors remained vacant until 2013.

The First Colony Inn, also known as LeRoy's Seaside Inn, First Colony Motor Inn, First Colony Apartments, and Colony Beach Inn, is a historic hotel building located at Nags Head, Dare County, North Carolina. It was designed by Willis Leigh and built by Frank Benton It first opened in 1932 as LeRoy's Seaside Inn, by Henry LeRoy of Elizabeth City, North Carolina. The inn is a 2 1/2-story, balloon frame building in the vernacular Shingle Style. The building is divided into three equal sections (approximately 25 feet by 60 feet each) separated by open breezeways and arranged in an "H"-shaped configuration.

The Austral Society was founded in 1903 because of the influence of The Toowoomba poet George Essex Evans to promote Australian Arts and Culture. The Society purchased part of the closed Toowoomba Gaol grounds and let a tender to roof part of the goal yard in September 1904. The Austral Hall was built on this site. The plaque located at 84 to 88 Margaret Street (Park Motor Inn) reads: "On this site stood the Austral Hall which was reported capable of accommodating 500 stage performers and an audience of 5,000. "Toowoomba’s Austral Society was founded by George Essex Evans in 1903 for the promotion and advancement of music, literature, art and science.

Monkland contains the Gympie Gold Mining and Historical Museum, which contains a collection of documentation, artifacts and photographs, with each building in the museum exploring different aspects of the history of the Gympie region, and containing parts of the former No.2 Great Eastern Gold Mine. No longer online The personal collection of Andrew Fisher, an early Labor Prime Minister of Australia who represented the area in the Federal Parliament, is also located here. Next to the museum is the Lake Alford Park which contains an all-abilities playground, and backs onto a restaurant and motor inn. The Monkland railway station, built in 1911, is part of the Mary Valley Rattler which has been operated by the Apex Club of Gympie since 1998.

While in ski jumping, Devlin went into the hotel business in 1953, opening Art Devlin's Olympic Motor Inn, a hotel he would run until he retired and passed it onto his son, Art, Jr., in 1992. He also was a color commentator for ABC Sports during the 1964, 1968, 1976 and 1980 Winter Olympics, becoming lifelong friends with sportscaster Chris Schenkel. Devlin, with fellow Lake Placidians J. Bernard Fell, Norman Hess, Ronald MacKenzie, Jack Shea, Vern Lamb, Luke Patnode, Serge Lussi, Bob Peacock and Bob Allen, also led the effort to bring the 1980 Winter Olympics to Lake Placid, lobbying across Europe to present their case to the International Olympic Committee. In 1974, Sports Illustrated magazine gave each kudos for their efforts.

It is also large enough to have its own town council, a newspaper (The Gazette) and at least eleven pubs, including "The Imperial", which serves as both the "copper's pub" and home to several of the officers, new to town with nowhere else to live but one of Chris Riley's rooms. Significant action takes place here throughout the series given its importance to the "Heelers" and Chris' involvement in the community. Other pubs in Mount Thomas (regularly mentioned but rarely featured) are "The Commercial" (The Imperial's main rival), "The Railway", "The Federal", "The Steam Packet" (frequently described as being the worst), "Customs House", "The Cumberland", "The Mainland", and three unnamed near the court house, Coles, and the football oval. There is also at least one motel, a motor inn and a caravan park.

Gibson Park Mermaids swimming in the pool of the Sip 'n' Dip lounge in Great Falls Great Falls has a symphony orchestra, founded in 1959, which generally offers multiple concert series throughout the year, also sponsoring a Youth Orchestra, the Cascade String Quartet, the Chinook Winds Quintet, other chamber ensembles and an educational outreach program. Well-known performers brought in to perform with Great Falls Symphony have included Yo-Yo Ma, Itzhak Perlman, Midori, Joshua Bell, James Galway, Christopher Parkening and Evelyn Glennie. The community also is notable for the unique Sip 'n Dip Lounge, a tiki bar located downtown in the O'Haire Motor Inn. Built in 1962, it features an indoor swimming pool visible through a window in the bar where women dressed as mermaids swim underwater.

Surf Ohio Festiki Billed as a family friendly celebration of sun, surf, sand & summer, the first annual Festiki was held on August 15, 2009, at Carillon Park in Dayton, Ohio. A portion of proceeds from the event were donated to the Surfrider Foundation. The second annual event was held August 14, 2010 at Old River Park in Dayton, Ohio, and was one of the dates on the Space Cossacks' reunion tour that summer. Ohana: Luau at the Lake Billed as three spectacular tiki-soaked days of music and fun at the incredible Tiki Motor Inn Resort in Lake George, New York, the first Ohana was held September 18–20, 2009 and $3,000 in proceeds from the event were donated to the Easter Island Foundation to support youth programs and a scholarship.

The band was one of the front acts to the Winnipeg concert of the Filipino Alternative Rock band Pupil. The reinvigorated haLf man haLf eLf began to perform in venues outside the Filipino community such as Mona Lisa Ristorante Italiano, Paragon Lounge & Restaurant, Ozzy's Bar at Osborne Village Motor Inn, Dylan O'Connor's Irish Pub on Portage Avenue, and Curtis Hotel Henderson Drafthouse on Henderson Highway. The band's lineup in the early 2010s were aLfie vera mella (vocals, keyboards, bellkit, percussion), Christine Mazur (violin, cello, acoustic guitar, vocals), Robert Nicanor Jr. (drumkit, percussion), Dave Labovich (mandolin, banjo), and Janice Bamsworth (cajon). Previous members included Robert "Jun" Villanueva Jr. (12-string acoustic guitar, percussion), Tyler Holmes (keyboards), Johnny Holmes (bass), Jan Castillo (ukulele), Pol Chua (acoustic bass), and Dante Gomez (electric guitar).

Russell Island has a small shopping village offering a variety of services including; Super IGA supermarket, post office, petrol station, chemist, bakery, hairdressers, Chinese restaurant, newsagent, kebab shop and takeaway food shop. It also has several real estate agencies showing houses for sale and rent. Russell Island has most of the same services as the mainland that span across the island including a police station, fire station, ambulance service, medical practice, pathologist, service station, post office, hairdresser, veterinarian, computer repair services, web designers, video hire, bottle shop, lawyer, public pool, various real estate agents, landscape/hire centre, storage sheds, car hire, cafes, motor inn and a sports/recreational complex. The two licensed clubs, an RSL and the Russell Island Bowling Club, provide entertainment and bistro facilities most nights of the week.

In the 1970s and '80s Lewis owned and operated a group of hotels including the Howard Johnson's in Hardeeville, South Carolina, Savannah's Downtowner Motor Inn (which later became the Ramada Inn downtown Savannah), and the Ramada Inn in Melbourne, Florida. All three hotels were new concepts for their day, which Lewis constructed with a nod to his native Savannah: He strayed from the Downtowner corporate concept and added the locally inspired Savannah wrought-iron railings to fit the locale. The Savannah Ramada Inn was later sold to Savannah College of Art and Design in 1987 and converted into the school's first dormitory, enabling much of the school's subsequent growth. The adjacent property on Oglethorpe Avenue still bearing the original J.C. Lewis signage, the site of second J.C. Lewis Motor Company location, was also sold to SCAD to become the school's gymnasium, ClubSCAD.

In 1961, the newly founded company Four Seasons Hotels opened its first hotel, The Four Seasons Motor Hotel, on Jarvis Street in Toronto. In May 1963, the company opened The Inn on the Park on former farmland in North York for $4 million, This was the company's first hotel outside of downtown Toronto, and was more upscale than the company's earlier properties. Inn on the Park was among the new hotels constructed in Metro Toronto, along with the Canadiana Motor Inn (Kennedy Road and Highway 401), the Constellation (Dixon Road near Toronto International Airport), the Executive Motor Hotel (King Street near Bathurst) and the Valhalla Inn (along Highway 427), all of them being full-service hotels in contrast to earlier suburban motels. The site was chosen for its proximity to the Don Valley Parkway, "geographically central for all of Metro Toronto" although "out in the middle of nowhere".

In 1977 Columbia Sussex purchased their first full- service hotel, The President Motor Inn in Fort Wright, KY. The hotel was closed for renovations and re-opened as a Ramada Inn. Columbia Sussex then began a campaign of acquiring Holiday Inns and renovating them into properties featuring the Holidome concept. Together with the new loyalty program, Priority Club, which was a trailblazing concept at the time, market success followed. Holiday Inns were acquired in Dayton, OH, Springfield, OH, and a group of 4 Holiday Inns in Charleston, WV. In 1980 Columbia Sussex completed their largest acquisition to date with the purchase of the 400 room Holiday Inn in Southfield, MI. In the early 1980s Columbia Sussex continued to grow mainly through acquisition while focusing primarily on the Holiday Inn brand. In 1983 a 400-room Holiday Inn was purchased and renovated in Louisville, Kentucky. In 1984 Columbia Sussex began expanding through construction of new hotels.

Shihad opened their Love Is the New Hate album tour with a free concert in Auckland's Aotea Square, and an extensive tour of Australia and New Zealand, including a spot on the main stage at Byron Bay, Australia's Splendour In The Grass, in front of an audience of approximately 20,000—the album was released in 2005. The band also toured with Cog, the Datsuns, and opened for Evanescence on part of their 2006/2007 world tour. During February and March 2008, the band completed an Australian east coast tour entitled "One Will Hear The Tour", playing a total of 30 shows, and in the second half of 2008 toured New Zealand on the "Beautiful Machine Tour" supporting the album of the same name, playing medium-size venues such as the Wellington Town Hall with support from The Mint Chicks and Luger Boa. Shihad also toured with Gyroscope around Australia for Gyroscope's "Australia Tour" during the same year. For New Year's Eve 2008/2009, Shihad performed in Gisborne, New Zealand, followed by shows at the Coroglen Tavern and the Lake Hāwea Motor Inn, also in New Zealand.

There was no requirement that the owner actually be implicated in any alleged crimes; failure to keep criminal elements out of a tenement house, motel or other business constituted a nuisance for which the owner would be civically liable. Of one locally-notorious group of five motels under common management, Seattle (Black Angus) Motor Inn was on leased land, after some success in using health code violations to shut it down temporarily it closed permanently after the owner of the land (not the management of the business) caved to pressure from City Hall; the Wallingford Inn was sold; the Isabella Motel and Italia Motel were closed as part of an out-of-court settlement of 152 criminal charges brought by the city for tax violations; the Fremont (Thunderbird) Inn was sold after foreclosure and ultimately demolished. Other unrelated properties with many calls for police, including a residential tenement and a motel in the same area, had also been targeted using Seattle's "Chronic Nuisance Properties" ordinance but fared slightly better; by tightening security on-site and working with police to evict troublemakers, the owners were able to bring the number of calls for service down significantly.
