Anatoly Ivanovich Konenko (; born 23 February 1954) is a microminiature painter and sculptor from the Russian city of Omsk. In 1996 he was entered into the Guinness Book of World Records for creating the world's smallest book.

Shoulders made great progress manufacturing thin-film cryotron integrated circuits in the laboratory at MIT. Developments included the creation of oxide layers as insulation and for mechanical strength by electron beam reduction of chemicals. This work, co- authored with Kenneth Shoulders, was published as "An Approach to Microminiature Printed Systems".

A miniature animal PET has been constructed that is small enough for a fully conscious rat to be scanned. This RatCAP (Rat Conscious Animal PET) allows animals to be scanned without the confounding effects of anesthesia. PET scanners designed specifically for imaging rodents, often referred to as microPET, as well as scanners for small primates, are marketed for academic and pharmaceutical research. The scanners are based on microminiature scintillators and amplified avalanche photodiodes (APDs) through a system that uses single-chip silicon photomultipliers.

Nanobama is the name of microminiature portraits of United States President Barack Obama. They were created by Professor John Hart of University of Michigan's Mechanical Engineering department to celebrate the election of Obama. The portrait, which considered the world's smallest presidential portrait, measures 500 μm across (about the size of a period in the average printed text). The portrait is composed of some 150 million carbon nanotubes representing the number of people who voted for him in the 2009 presidential election.

Morrow co-produced T.C. McLuhan’s audio version of her bestselling documentary portrait of Native American life, Touch the Earth. The interactive CD-ROM, ScruTiny in the Great Round, featuring Morrow’s music and visual art by Tennessee Rice Dixon and Jim Gasperini won the 1996 Grand Prix du Jury Milia d'Or in Cannes, France. The Micro-Miniature Automated Test Equipment Course teaches entry-level and Fleet Marines to use automated test equipment to isolate faults on circuit card assemblies, develop test routines for various circuit card assemblies, and then repair them using advanced soldering techniques including miniature and microminiature surface mount, plated-through hole, and wire termination techniques and fundamentals. The "2M" Technicians produced in this course will also have the ability to repair, reconstruct, and resurface laminates and other various surface types that are used in circuit cards.

Over the next decade, he produced another 33 miniatures. Working extremely slowly under a microscope, Sandaldjian employed self-made tools such as sharpened needles tipped with ruby or diamond dust, compiling his sculptures out of minuscule materials such as dust, lint, and hair. Even among the few practitioners of microminiature art, Sandaldjian was unusual in that he painted his work, using a single sharpened strand of hair as a brush. Sandaldjian would time his motions to come between his heartbeats, thus maximizing his control of his fingers.

NASA awarded Cannon the Medallion for Distinguished Service for its efforts in the first U.S. manned lunar landing. The United Space Alliance recently presented ITT Interconnect Solutions with a certificate of appreciation for supporting the shuttle and international space station programs with a variety of circular and fiber optic connectors. ITT Cannon entered the medical electronics industry with the development of fiber optic microminiature connectors for diagnostic equipment as well as electronic prostheses to restore eyesight, hearing and other functions. These fiber optic connectors also opened up opportunities in the telecommunications market.

XLR Audio Connector ITT Cannon also developed the XLR connector in the 1950s for military communications applications as well as sound equipment for professional recording studios. Over the years, the XL Series audio connector became a universal solution for both analog and digital connections, and in 2008 the connector was inducted into the TECnology Hall of Fame by the Mix Foundation for Excellence in Audio. Circular Connectors During this time, the company also became a key connector supplier to the U.S space program with the development of several specialized connectors for a wide range of aerospace applications, including a special microminiature connector developed for use on space suits.

Hagop Sandaldjian Hagop Sandaldjian (1931–1990Joshua Tompkins, "Honey I Shrunk the Art", Los Angeles Magazine, May 1997, p.24.) was an Egyptian-born Armenian American musician and microminiature sculptor, best known for his tiny art pieces displayed at the Museum of Jurassic Technology in Los Angeles, California. Michael Yonkers (2003) Michael Yonkers (born 1947) is an American rock musician from Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. His work has been praised for its groundbreaking and highly experimental nature; Cole Alexander of psychedelic-rock band Black Lips said that Yonkers “kind of invented noise and drone guitar techniques," stating further that "when you think of how The Who, Jimi Hendrix and The Velvet Underground were pushing feedback at the time, he was more extreme than all three combined in terms of what he was doing.” However, his work did not reach a wide audience until decades after he began recording, due in part to a debilitating spinal injury that kept him in constant, lifelong pain. His most well-known work is a psychedelic rock record from 1968 called Microminiature Love, which was released on vinyl by De Stijl records in 2002, and later Sub Pop, who released it on CD in July 2003.
