Their pollen cones are yellow, and there are usually intact old cones found beneath them. Whitebark pine (Pinus albicaulis) can also be hard to distinguish from the western white pine (Pinus monticola) in the absence of cones.
Hogg's interest in weaving green areas into housing developments is apparent. The Norhill esplanades are not unlike those incorporated into Hogg's development of the affluent River Oaks neighborhood. The long green esplanades lend a park-like feel to Norhill Boulevard, a north–south residential street which runs through much of the neighborhood. Hogg also incorporated space for a park into the layout.

Allium fistulosum, the Welsh onion, also commonly called bunching onion, long green onion, Japanese bunching onion, and spring onion, is a species of perennial plant, often considered to be a kind of scallion. The species is very similar in taste and odor to the related common onion, Allium cepa, and hybrids between the two (tree onions) exist. A. fistulosum, however, does not develop bulbs, and possesses hollow leaves (fistulosum means "hollow") and scapes. Larger varieties of the A. fistulosum resemble the leek, such as the Japanese negi, whilst smaller varieties resemble chives.
Hogao is a variant of Spanish sofrito and is typically used in Colombian cuisine. Traditionally made with only long green onions and tomatoes, differing from guiso, which can also be made with round onions, garlic, cumin, salt, and pepper that are sauteed over low heat during the cooking process. It is used for meats, arepas, rice, and other dishes, and can complement the famous bandeja paisa. The ingredients and naming tradition varies from region to region, though it is originally from Antioquia and the region whose people are known as paisa.
Alice was saved through the combined efforts of Sumi and Ink and her true form was revealed to be that of a beautiful woman with long green hair and an ample bust. Even though she dislikes Arc's perverted nature she is still in love with him. ; : :Alice's partner in the form of a stuffed rabbit, who wears a red top hat and constantly shakes. It is revealed in episode 10 that Na-kun is a young girl with the same body structure as Sumi and Ink, whom Arc drools over till being hit by Alice.
It has a 2–2.5 cm long, funnel-shaped perianth tube, 2 cm long stamens, yellow anthers and a 1–1.2 cm long green, spindle-shaped, ovary. It has long and flat, style branches that are 3 cm long and 4–5 mm wide, they have a large lobed (or toothed) end. After the iris has flowered, between June and August, it produces a fusiform (spindle shaped) seed capsule. Which is up to long and 1.5 cm wide, and has 6 longitudinal ribs and a long beak appendage (at the top).
The male flowers are in long-stemmed racemes. Each flower is about wide, with a calyx with five pointed teeth, a whitish, green-veined corolla with five lobes, and a central boss of stamens. The small female flowers are bunched together on a short stalk, each having its ovary enclosed in a spiny, hairy fruit; one seed is produced by each flower. The fruit is about long, green at first but becomes brown with age; it is dispersed by animals which come into contact with its bristly surface.
The foliage forms in open sprays with scale-like leaves 1–8 mm long and 1–1.5 mm broad; the leaves are arranged in opposite decussate pairs, with the successive pairs closely then distantly spaced, so forming apparent whorls of four. The cones are 10–15 mm long, green ripening brown in about 8 months from pollination, and have four thick scales arranged in two opposite pairs. The seeds are 5–7 mm long and 2 mm broad, with a 3–4 mm broad papery wing on each side.
It is a member of the white pine group, Pinus subgenus Strobus, and like all members of that group, the leaves ('needles') are in fascicles (bundles) of five, with a deciduous sheath. They are 6–11 cm long. Its pine cones are mostly 8–16 cm long, occasionally up to 20 cm long, green at first, becoming yellow-brown when mature, with broad, flat to downcurved scales. The 6–7 mm long seeds have a 2 cm wing and can be wind-dispersed, but are also very often dispersed by spotted nutcrackers.
It took three hours and twenty-six minutes to resolve a race spanning 250 laps. Richard Petty defeated Darrell Waltrip by at least two laps in front of 27000 people; Waltrip's second-place run was just his second-ever Winston Cup "top five" finish and his first on a superspeedway. There were always large margins of victory at Texas World Speedway because of many long green- flag runs. Drivers were either became very cautious or very lucky and they managed to avoid having to deal with relatively long yellow-flag runs.
The Long Green Line is an independent American feature length documentary film about the 2005 York Community High School Cross Country team, Elmhurst, Illinois. Next to rendang and balado, the vegetable dish sayur masak lemak (vegetables including long beans, cabbage, and long green chilies in coconut milk) is also offered. It is a popular street food in Medan sold in humble tarp tents warung, and usually sold together with Lontong Medan. Since Medan is located near the Aceh border, and there are numbers of Aceh people that reside in the city, the term nasi lemak and nasi gurih are often used interchangeably in the city, since the terms refer to a similar coconut rice dish.
Long Green Valley Historic District is a national historic district in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. It is an approximately rural agricultural area to the northeast of the city of Baltimore. The valley has a distinct physical unity created by gently rolling fields dotted with crossroads villages such as Glen Arm, Baldwin, and Hydes and farm complexes. Its architecture covers the 18th, 19th, and early 20th centuries and reflect major architectural styles popular in the United States from the Neoclassical of the 18th century to the Georgian Revival of the pre 1935 period.
In 2011 she played Detective Constable Caroline Derwent in the mini- series, Underbelly NZ: Land of the Long Green Cloud, which was based on the criminal career of New Zealand drug trafficker Marty Johnstone. In 2013 Shanahan settled in New Plymouth, where she began working with youth performers. She relaunched the West Coast Youth Theatre in 2014 as a way to help young actors enter the arts. She has since continued to appear in TV series and TV movies, and in 2019 she ran Shakespearian acting workshops for drama students.
Thus it was far cheaper than the original tract in New York State, which cost $10.50 an acre. Furthermore, the land was much more amenable to farming. :To the Inspirationists, who had been obliged to cut heavy timber and remove stones and boulders from the Ebenezer land before it could be tilled, the long green stretches of virgin prairie "ready for the plow" seemed the most wonderful feature of the splendid new domain (Shambaugh, 1908, p. 74) The Inspirationists laid out the first village in the Iowa tract during summer 1855, on a hillside north of the Iowa River.
C. australasica can be propagated by division, and prefers to be well-watered in summer and allowed to dry in winter, in correspondence with Monsoonal patterns. It is grown for its flowers in Zimbabwe, and a cultivated variety called "Aussie Plume" is grown in the US which can grow up to 6 ft (almost 2 metres) tall. The native form is usually less than tall, with long green leaves (140-450 x 60–190 mm), pleated. Flowers 15–20 mm, November to March in Queensland, normally yellow on a spike with pink, red, mauve or green bracts.
Human traces can only be expected in the rainier green phases. It is possible that anatomically modern humans, which perhaps developed in the said isolated phase 300,000 to 200,000 years ago south of the Sahara, already in the long green phase over 200,000 years ago the water-rich area at that time. Even around 125,000 to 110,000 years ago there was an adequate network of waterways that allowed numerous animal species to spread northward, followed by human hunters. Huge lakes contributed to this, such as the Mega Lake Chad , which at times covered over 360,000 km².
Cordon-bleu protein, uses two WH2 motifs (blue segment) for the recruitment of ATP-actin monomers (dark orange) to form a linear actin dimer (Fig. 3). A short linker (short green segment) permits a close association between the linearly arranged actin subunits; a longer linker (long green segment) permits a third ATP-actin monomer to bind to the most carboxy-terminal WH2 motif to assemble in a cross-filament orientation, creating a trimeric actin nucleus. In contrast, Spire, which contains four closely spaced WH2s, is proposed to nucleate actin filaments by stabilizing the association of four actin monomers along a single, linear strand.
Almost every iteration of Link wears a green tunic and a long green Phrygian cap (explained in Ocarina of Time as green clothes being the standard attire of the Kokiri, a race of childlike forest elves among which Link was raised, with The Wind Waker establishing that the clothes are passed down to his descendants when they come of age, in honor of the Hero of Time), although there are also variations in which Link dresses in different colors. He has long, pointed ears, a distinctive trait of the Hylian race.Shigeru, Miyamoto. The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia.
Quercus tardifolia, the Chisos Mountains oak or lateleaf oak, is a rare North American species of trees in the beech family. It has been found in the Chisos Mountains inside Big Bend National Park in Texas, and in the nearby Sierra del Carmen across the Río Grande in northern Coahuila.Biota of North America Program 2014 county distribution map Quercus tardifolia is an evergreen tree with gray bark and reddish-brown twigs. After not touring for their previous two albums, R.E.M. used an elaborate rock show to promote Monster; bassist Mike Mills (pictured in 2008) had a new look, with long hair and Nudie suits. Despite their highest chart positions to date in 1991 and 1992, R.E.M. elected not to tour after they found the year-long Green tour exhausting. The Monster Tour was the group's first outing in six years. The tour, which played arenas and amphitheaters, began in January 1995 with shows in Australia and Japan and continued throughout Europe and the United States for the rest of the year.
The town of Sharon was founded in 1739, and developed economically as a crossroads town, with its greatest period of economic prosperity in the early 19th century. This resulted in a preponderance of Federal period architecture lining the town's long green, which originally extended north and south from the junction of Main Street and the Cornwall Bridge and Amenia Roads. Although the village was bypassed by railroads, it benefited economically in the 19th century from the presence of iron mines and furnaces. By the 1880s, these industries were in decline, but the tourist trade was picking up.
Larches are among the few deciduous conifers, which are usually evergreen. Other deciduous conifers include the golden larch Pseudolarix amabilis, the dawn redwood Metasequoia glyptostroboides, the Chinese swamp cypress Glyptostrobus pensilis and the bald cypresses in the genus Taxodium. The male flowers (small cones) are orange-yellowish and fall after pollination. The female flowers (or cones) of larches are erect, small, long, green or purple, brown in ripening and lignify (called now strobilus) 5–8 months after pollination; in about half the species the bract scales are long and visible, and in the others, short and hidden between the seed scales.
The 84th was the only Highland regiment to keep and use its traditional highland uniform; plaids and swords, for the duration of the war. General Gage specified that the new military unit would be "cloathed Armed and accoutred in like manner with His Majesty's Royal Highland Regiment", indicating that they would wear the Highland Scots military uniform, unlike the more conventional uniforms worn by other Provincial units.Logan, pp.7-16 The original uniform of the first battalion was the green Provincial uniform, consisting of a long, green coat, tri- cornered black hat, breeches, and gray hose.

Slap-Happy was considered more varied than previous L7 albums. Although the album features several songs with aggressive guitar riffs that are reminiscent of the band's previous releases, as seen in the tracks "On My Rockin' Machine", "Long Green" and "Mantra Down", it also contains slow-paced and guitar-driven ballads like "Livin' Large" and "Freezer Burn". The former song was described by Marc Weingarten of Rolling Stone as "a kind of rallying cry for the indie-rock underclass", while the latter was seen as a melodic song that "juxtaposes harsh words delivered in mellow, floating vocals." Slap-Happy also contains songs that borrow elements from genres other than rock.
360° panorama of Flaine, from the Almandine run. There is skiing for most in Flaine, as the resort enjoys a particular reputation as being all rounded. The most notable runs in Flaine include Styx (Black); le Diamant Noir (black); Serpentine (blue/red); Fred (red); Tourmaline (blue) and Méphisto (blue/red). In Les Carroz, Morillon, and Samoëns classic runs include Marvel; a fabulously long green that goes through the forest, Sairon; a long blue with many jumps and banks on the side of the piste, Lou Darbes; a medium length blue run that is downhill all the way — an excellent run for 'bombing' down, and Aigle Noir, a steep, difficult black run.
The flowers are in racemes in the axils of the leaves or at the tip of the branches, with the common inflorescence stalk much longer in terminal racemes, up to long. The individual flowers can be functionally only male, only female or hermaphrodite, all on the same plant. They sit on a long stalk, and carry five elliptical to lanceolate, ½–1 cm (0.2-0.4 in) long, green sepals with a violet margin, which are slightly buiging and fused at their base. Inside are five free white to yellowish petals of between 2 and 2½ cm (0.8–1.0 in) long, set between the neighboring sepals.
He continued recording and touring throughout the 60's, building up a growing fan base. Damron had a breakthrough hit in 1970 with ‘Countryfied’ for Apex records. He found further success throughout the 1970s with singles such as: ‘Rise ‘n’ Shine,’ ‘The Long Green Line,’ ‘Mother, Love and Country’, and ‘Susan Flowers’. In 1978 Damron signed his first major label contract and began recording for RCA. By this point he had become an established performer in the ‘outlaw’ style and a well known songwriter. His most popular singles for RCA included ‘Silver and Shine,’ ‘Whisky Jack,’ ‘Honky Tonk Angels and Good Ol’ Boys’, and ‘Good Ol’ Time Country Rock ‘n’ Roll’.
The College of Idaho was founded in 1891 in what is now the North Caldwell Historic District. After 18 years at that location and another near the Canyon County Courthouse, the college had outgrown its wood frame buildings and had begun a move in 1909 to property donated by Henry and Carrie Blatchley. The college had secured a $25,000 grant from Andrew Carnegie with a stipulation that an endowment be established and three $25,000 buildings be constructed. In a veiled reference to John D. Rockefeller, The Caldwell Tribune mentioned a "slight odor of kerosene permeating the long green," see Sterry Hall was one of the buildings.
Once resuming the race it was not long before the caution came out again when Puryear and Wertz bumped again, resulting in Wertz spinning in turn four. Wertz drove up alongside Puryear under caution to voice his displeasure, but nothing more occurred between the two during the remainder of the race. The race continued on another long green flag run during which Falk began to show his dominance, pulling out to a big lead. The dynamic of the race changed quickly with only a few laps to go when Rick Gdovic went for a spin on the backstretch bringing out the final caution of the race.
In 1939 Little Nipper (RCA Records for children) issued, in addition to a record storybook set of the traditional story, a 2 45-RPM record storybook set entitled "Little Black Sambo's Jungle Band", narrated by Paul Wing. In the story Little Black Sambo (in India) goes for a walk in the jungle and encounters a variety of animals, each with its own distinctive instrument (e.g., elephant with a tuba, "big baboon with a big bassoon", honey bear with a "perfectly peach piccolo", and a long green snake "playing its scales"). They each play a distinctive song for him, and then elect him to be their band director.
The Soldier with the Green Whiskers appears to be the tallest citizen in the city, and is often described as being "very tall" with a very thick and long green beard that flows nearly to the ground. Fruits are 18–20 mm long, 5–6 mm in diameter, ellipsoid, red-pink when mature; the endosperm has an uneven surface ("ruminate"). Stems are clustered, forming dense clumps of short stems to 0.5 m tall (sometimes to 1.5 m tall) 20 mm in diameter and green but covered with reddish-brown scales. Sheaths open, not forming "crownshafts", 270–280 mm long, green with reddish-brown scales; "ocreas" (extensions of the leaf sheath) are present. Petioles are 0.87-1.16 m long and green; the rachis is 900–950 mm long, with 9-13 pinnae each side of rachis, which are linear and contracted at the bases.
Section of the cycle path (south promenade). The city has a large number of cycle paths, so much so that it is possible to follow it without interruption from the north (where it has a connection with the Grottammare cycle path) to the south (plunging into the Sentina Park). From 2001 to 2010, the section that completes a single walk up to Cupra Marittima was completed by extending the long Green Adriatic Corridor. In the coming years the construction of a bridge over the river Tronto is planned, which will make possible the connection between the cycle path inside the Sentina and the waterfront track of Martinsicuro (TE).
It is a deciduous or semi-evergreen shrub that reaches a size of 1–2 m height, very branched, with thin branches, arched, flexible and glabrous. The leaves are alternate, simple, little petiolate, with 2–6 cm long green lanceolate, elliptical-rhomboidal or slightly obovate lamina, with 3 nerves parallel from its base, irregularly crenate-dentate in its distal half. The leaves would turn a yellowish red colour in autumn. Blooming in spring and snow white in colour, its flowers are hermaphroditic, actinomorphic, of ± 1 cm diameter, arranged in axillary corimbos, each with 5 free sepals, 5 white petals, numerous stamens shorter than the petals.
In Brazilian cuisine, the verb also encompasses dishes that are fried in vegetable oil before being boiled or steamed, even when the actual fried seasoning is not there. Similarly, rice that has been toasted in vegetable oil before it is boiled is technically . Seattle's Festál Irish Festival Seattle Washington's Saint Patrick's Day Parade, recognized by CNN in 2009 as one of the "Five places to get your green on" in America, travels along a 1-mile route through the Emerald City's downtown financial and retail core the Saturday before Saint Patrick's Day. Seattle's Saint Patrick's Day Celebration is the largest and oldest in the Northwestern United States. In 2009, some 20,000 spectators and groups from throughout the Northwest turned out for the city's Irish shenanigans. Along with the annual "Laying 'O the Green" where Irish revellers mark the path of the next morning's procession with a mile-long green stripe, the Seattle parade marks the high-point of Seattle's Irish Week festivities.
The Regiment of Patricians is one of several units in the Argentine Army whose full dress uniform dates back to the 19th century. In the Armed Forces of the Argentine Republic, the Argentine Federal Police, Argentine National Gendarmerie and Naval Prefecture, dress uniforms are worn during military and civil occasions, especially for the military bands and colour guards. They are a reminder of the military and law enforcement history of Argentina, especially during the early years of nationhood and the wars of independence that the country was a part. The Argentine Army's full dress uniform is green with a visor cap, epaulettes, sword set and scabbard (for officers), long green pants, a black belt, and black shoes or boots.
The nickname Monsters of the Midway was originally applied to the University of Chicago "Maroons", a college football team under the leadership of Amos Alonzo Stagg. "Midway" is a reference to the Midway Plaisance, a long, green swath of boulevard space bordering the southern end of the campus between 59th and 60th Streets and running from Washington Park to Jackson Park on Chicago's South Side. The U of C ended its major college football program in 1939, around a time of several Bears NFL Championships. During this time, their home field was Wrigley Field, the legendary home of the Chicago Cubs, on the North Side of the city, roughly 12 miles (20 km) from the Midway.
Common backswimmer (Notonecta glauca) The best-known genus of backswimmers is Notonecta – streamlined, deep-bodied bugs up to long, green, brown, or yellowish in colour. The common backswimmer, N. glauca, is widespread in Europe, including the United Kingdom where it is known as the greater water boatman.BBC Science and nature factfiles: Water boatman, common backswimmer Retrieved on 2008-07-26 Another of the same region, N. maculata, is distinguished by its mottled brick-coloured forewings. In contrast to other aquatic insects that cling to submerged objects, Anisops deanei uses a unique system to stay submerged: using the extra oxygen supply from haemoglobin in their abdomen, instead of using oxygen dissolved in the water.
The byway follows Long Green Pike past St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church to Glen Arm. From Glen Arm the Horses and Hounds Scenic Byway has a long sidetrack that heads east toward Jerusalem, which contains one of several units of Gunpowder Falls State Park. The sidetrack follows Glen Arm Road to MD 147, follows Reckord Road, Guyton Road, and Bottom Road in a brief jaunt through Harford County near Fallston, heads southeast along Fork Road, Sunshine Avenue, and Bradshaw Road through Kingsville, east along Franklinville Road to Jerusalem, north along Jericho Road to the Jerusalem Mill Village, and west along Jerusalem Road back to Kingsville. The alternate byway route follows MD 147 to Factory Road, which it follows back to Glen Arm.
"The Night of the Doctor" was recorded at Roath Lock on 7–8 May 2013; the first day of filming consisted of all scenes taking place on the planet Karn, while the second day consisted of scenes in Cass' spaceship. Rather than a return to the costume from the TV movie or using the new image that Big Finish had introduced, Moffat decided on a variation of the TV movie outfit designed by Howard Burden. The new outfit referenced the previous one, retaining the long green coat and grey waistcoat, but making it appear more of an "adventurer's" rather than "gentleman's" outfit. At the same time, pictures of McGann in costume were taken on the Eleventh Doctor's TARDIS console room set.
The radish currently used has a red skin and a white interior. The use of this radish, which is softer than other varieties, has precipitated a number of strategies different from those used in the past, one being the use of the contrast between the skin and the interior and the other to peel and flatten the red skin for use as clothing items, flags and more. Typically participants use knives and toothpicks to create the sculptures, after the tops of the radishes with their long, green leaves have been cut off (and sometimes used in the scenes) . Although the carving of radishes evolved from the area's tradition of wood carving, the current competition does not attract current wood carvers as the material is very different.
There are two species of legless lizards Amphisbaena alba and Amphisbaena fuliginosa known as 'two headed' snakes on Trinidad. They spend much of their lives burrowing in the soil in forest or forest-edge areas and are often associated with the nests of leaf-cutter ants Atta, which form part of their diet. There are a number of lizards ranging in size from just over an inch or two in length to the huge long green iguana (Iguana iguana). The so-called luminous lizard (Riama shrevei) makes its home in primary lower montane and montane forest at the mouths of caves and cool stream banks on the high peaks, ridges and high valleys of the Northern Range of Trinidad and is found nowhere else on earth.
The type locality of the Baltimore Gneiss as described by William Patrick Crowley of the Maryland Geological Survey in 1976 is defined as outcrops along Towson Run from Bellona Avenue to Towsontown Boulevard. Formerly, the type locality was consider to refer to layered gneisses which outcrop along Jones Falls and Gwynns Falls in Baltimore City, however, chemical and textural analysis followed by zircon age measurements determined that these gneisses represent a distinct younger geologic unit. The type locality of the layered gneiss member includes stream cuts along Herring Run for 255 meters on either side of Arlington Avenue bridge near Morgan State University. The type locality of the augen gneiss member includes outcrops along Long Green Creek 385 meters southeast of Glenarm Road bridge.
However, Capcom later unexpectedly approved the addition of Sheng Long. Noon designed Sheng Long's appearance for the title, giving him black gi pants and a long, green, padded/quilted, sleeveless Gi style top which was tied off with a black beltmandarin style, long white braided hair, Fu Manchu moustache, a thick black ribbon over his eyes due to being blinded by Akuma and one hand taking the form of a dragon's claw, described as a result of his power being so advanced, that he began to physically manifest dragon like attributes. Capcom approved the design, and Luis Mangubat, an artist from the development team (who would later work at Midway Games), posed as Sheng Long. However, the character was left unfinished because of time constraints.
She also took the stage as Emilia in Peach Theatre Company's production of Othello in July 2011. She then took on the role of Dorothy in a major theatrical production of The Wizard of Oz based on the 1987 musical produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company at the Civic Theatre in September 2011, earning positive reviews for her portrayal of the character. Before leaving for the United States, she made an appearance on Underbelly NZ: Land of the Long Green Cloud as Julie Theilman, a courier working for Terry Clark of the Mr. Asia drug syndicate. After wrapping up on The Wizard of Oz, Tennet moved to the United States to film a low-budget independent feature film titled Blood Punch which also featured many of her co-stars from Power Rangers RPM.
Cotoneaster integerrimus, the common cotoneaster, is a species of Cotoneaster native to central and eastern Europe and southwest Asia, from southern Belgium and eastern France south to Italy, and east through Germany to the Balkans, northern Turkey, the Crimea, the Caucasus and northern Iran; plants in Spain may also belong in this species. In the past, it was treated in a wider sense, including plants from Wales now split off as Cotoneaster cambricus and plants from Scandinavia now treated as Cotoneaster scandinavicus, but differs from these in genetic profile and detail of foliage and fruit. It is a deciduous shrub growing to tall. The leaves are oval to oval-acute, long, green and thinly pubescent above at first, later glabrous, and densely pubescent below and on the leaf margin, with pale grey hairs.
The seed has a hard seed coat that must be penetrated by wind, rain, and weather over the course of a few months (but sometimes several years). In the fall, the bluebonnets emerge as small seedlings with two cotyledons, and later a rosette of leaves that are palmately compound, with five to seven leaflets 3–10 cm long, green with a faint white edge and hair. Growth continues over the mild winter, and then in the spring takes off, rapidly grow larger, before sending up a 20– to 50-cm-tall plume of blue flowers (with bits of white and occasionally a tinge of pinkish-red). The scent of these blossoms has been diversely described; many people say they give off no scent at all, while a few have described the scent as 'sickly sweet'.
Bednar noted that a plant known in the horticultural trade as "thorelii-long green" was considered by many to be a Thailand form of N. mirabilis, while another plant called "short round", which had pubescent leaves and squat pitchers, might represent the true N. thorelii. If this were the case, it would mean that artificial crosses such as N. 'Hachijo' and N. 'Effulgent Koto' are intergrades of N. mirabilis as opposed to hybrids. In their 1997 monograph on the genus Nepenthes, Matthew Jebb and Martin Cheek designated the male specimen deposited at the Paris herbarium as the lectotype of N. thorelii. The authors noted that there are "problems with the delimitation" of N. thorelii and the related taxa N. anamensis and N. smilesii (which are now considered conspecific).McPherson, S.R. 2009.
Born in Recanati, the son of a silversmith and a seamstress, Piffarerio studied at the Brera Academy, where he knew Gino Gavioli, with whom he founded "Gamma Film", a company considered a pioneer in the field of Italian animation. With Gavioli and Gamma Film Piffarerio realized several animation shorts for Carosello, as well as The Long Green Sock (), a 1961 medium length film about the history of Italy written by Cesare Zavattini. Piffarerio started his activity as a comics artist while studying at the Brera Academy, where he created the comic character, Capitan Falco, in 1943. He collaborated with Max Bunker to a number of comics series, such as Viva l'Italia (1961), Maschera Nera (1963), El Gringo (1965) and Alan Ford, he illustrated for about one hundred issues between 1975 and 1984.
Bobby Labonte and Ricky Rudd were also involved. All 4 cars were out of the race. The racer estates on lap 20 and Kurt Busch had the lead, only for Biffle took it again soon afterwards. Newman then got up to within 0.5 seconds of Biffle, and the lead remained for a long green-flag run; this would end on lap 59 when Robby Gordon's engine blew up, bringing out the 2nd caution. Sterling Marlin stayed out to lead a lap but at the restart, Newman was led over by Travis Kvapil and Greg Biffle in 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. Shortly after the restart, a crash occurred on lap 65, when Matt Kenseth nudged the back of Elliott Sadler's car; this would bring out the 3rd caution.

Though various incarnations sometimes change details, in most versions the Green Hornet is the alter ego of Britt Reid (), wealthy young publisher of the Daily Sentinel newspaper by day. But by night, clad in a long green overcoat, gloves, green fedora hat and green mask, Reid fights crime as the mysterious vigilante known as "The Green Hornet," and is accompanied by his loyal and similarly masked partner and confidant, Kato, who drives their technologically advanced car, the "Black Beauty." Though both the police and the general public believe the Hornet to be a wanted criminal, Reid uses that perception to help him infiltrate the underworld, leaving behind for the police the criminals and any incriminating evidence he has found. In the original radio incarnation, Britt Reid is the son of Dan Reid, Jr., the nephew of John Reid, the Lone Ranger, making the Green Hornet the grand-nephew of the Ranger.
Potsdamer Platz with the site of the Potsdamer Bahnhof in September 2005. The long green strip is Tilla Durieux Park, the site of the former station and its approaches. The road running down its left (eastern) side is Gabriele Tergit Promenade, named after the German writer and journalist Gabriele Tergit (1894-1982), while the road running down the right (west) side is Linkstraße, a bygone thoroughfare from former times now resurrected, but realigned a few metres east of its old route Plan of the Berlin North–South mainline. The site of Potsdamer Bahnhof is in the bottom third of plan, on the route of the (new) main line, while the site of another former station Anhalter Bahnhof is almost parallel parkland, but further towards the South Eastern corner of the plan Today a number of vast new developments can be seen around Potsdamer Platz.
With her black hull, white superstructure and twin, out-rigged freight booms, Cardena provided reliable, weekly service to the north coast salmon canneries along the Nass and Skeena Rivers. To the grateful inhabitants of these far-flung settlements, the familiar blasts from the ship's red and black funnel (one long, two short, one long) inevitably heralded Cardenas approach as she steamed her way up the long green channels of the Inside Passage towards her next port-of-call. This scheduled arrival, often late at night, in thick fog or foul weather, was cause for the camp or cannery workers to assemble along the company dock to greet the ship and await the mail, or perhaps to buy chocolate or a magazine from the purser’s on-board news stand. Over the 70-year period that the Union Steamship Co. of BC operated its fleet of 53 vessels (1889–1959), it was no exaggeration to claim that the Union service was the life-line of the coast.
Hayame (速魚) is a sweet but extremely ditsy mermaid who occasionally assists Nūbē...even though he usually ends up regretting it. She usually takes one of two forms when she appears: either that of a typical mermaid (nude with her long green hair covering her bosom and an orange fin on the bottom) or in a human form which she can access by magically turning her fin into two human legs (the formation of legs usually has her revealing her privates after transformation, much to the embrassment of any male that happens to be near her at the time). Like the mermaids of Japanese legend, she has the ability to grant immortality to anyone who eats her flesh, as well as the ability to reverse the same immortality from someone who eats her liver. Similarly, her blood also has healing properties: one small drip can instantly heal anyone of all of their wounds, even fatal ones.
The first caution came out on lap 48 when Jeff Purvis bounced off the wall between turns 3 & 4\. The race restarted and stayed under a long green-flag run that lasted 105 laps, in which Ward Burton led the most. On lap 87, Dale Earnhardt and rookie Kurt Busch made door-to-door contact coming out of turn 4 while battling for fifth place. Earnhardt promptly flipped Busch the bird at 185 mph or, as described by lap-by-lap commentator Mike Joy, he simply was saying "Kurt, you're number 1".Lap114 The second caution came out on lap 157 when Busch, trying to pass Joe Nemechek, hit the frontstretch wall and slid across the track right through the infield and onto pit road. On lap 167, Steve Park took the lead, only to be passed by his teammate Michael Waltrip on the next lap. On lap 173, a huge crash eliminated 18 cars in a spectacular fashion. This began when Robby Gordon, coming onto the backstraightaway, turned Ward Burton in the outside lane.
